With the rapid development of the WoT, acquisition requirements to the data grow with each passing day. However, the existing data acquisition systems usually use the upload mode. Uploading data not only takes a lot of time, but also requires staff to continuously monitor on duty. Aiming at the problem of enterprise management data acquisition, a WoT-based enterprise management data acquisition and analysis system is constructed. The system obtains multiple monitoring data through the data acquisition module and integrates these data through the processing module, which can solve the problems of traditional data acquisition systems. In order to effectively fuse data, based on canonical correlation analysis (CCA), the multiple order statistics correlation discrimination analysis algorithm is proposed as a fusion strategy. Experimental results show that the fusion strategy based on CCA can effectively integrate monitoring data and accurately identify different characters.

Developing a functional coating for vascular stents with sustainable and tunable NO release remains challenging. In this work, we report a silk fibroin/chitosan-based biopolymer coating incorporating copper ions as a catalyst for NO generation and demonstrate its potential for the surface functionalization of cardiovascular stents. Based on the differences in silk fibroin and chitosan coordinating with copper ions, the loading, bonding, and release of copper ions could be precisely regulated over a wide range by controlling the ratio of silk fibroin and chitosan. This system shows good cytocompatibility for endothelial cells and tunable catalytic activity to decompose S-nitroso-N-acetyl-D-penicillamine (SNAP) for NO generation. Consequently, a functionalized coating with sustainable and tunable NO catalysis generation was developed on the metallic stent. Based on good biocompatibility, tunable NO release, and simple processing, the coating is expected to have great promise in the field of intervention therapy of cardiovascular disease.

Background Retrospective or single-center prospective studies with relatively small samples have shown that contrast-enhanced US (CEUS) can improve the diagnostic accuracy of percutaneous biopsy, but larger prospective studies are lacking. Purpose To assess the diagnostic performance of CEUS-guided biopsy (CEUS-GB) of focal liver lesions (FLLs) compared with US-guided biopsy (US-GB) in a prospective multicenter study. Materials and Methods In this randomized controlled study conducted in nine hospitals in China between March 2016 and August 2019, adult participants with FLLs detected with US, CT, or MRI and planned for percutaneous biopsy were randomly assigned to undergo either US-GB or CEUS-GB. Lesions diagnosed as malignant at histopathologic analysis were considered true-positive findings. Benign or indeterminate lesions required further confirmation with either repeat biopsy or clinical follow-up at 6 months or later. In this study, three polysaccharides (BGPs: BGPs-Z21, BGPs-Z23, and BGPs-Z31) were successively extracted from barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) grasses (BG) at different growth stages, including seedling (Z21), tillering (Z23), and stem elongation (Z31). The effects of in vitro simulated saliva-gastrointestinal digestion on the physicochemical characteristics and biological activities of BGPs were investigated and compared. Results showed that the simulated saliva-gastrointestinal digestion had considerable influences on reducing sugar content, chemical components, monosaccharide constituents, and molecular weights of BGPs but hardly affected their preliminarily structural characteristics. Moreover, the antioxidant activities of BGPs were weakened after the simulated saliva-gastrointestinal digestion, but their bile acid-binding capacities were remarkably enhanced. The digested BGPs-Z31 by gastric juice possessed better antioxidant benefit, and bile acid-binding capacity (80.33 %) than other digested products. Overall, these results indicated that BGPs obtained from BG are valuable for functional foods as promising bioactive ingredients.

Tumor clonal structure is closely related to future progression, which has been mainly investigated as mutation abundance clustering in bulk samples. With relatively limited studies at single-cell resolution, a systematic comparison of the two approaches is still lacking. Here, using bulk and single-cell mutational data from the liver and colorectal cancers, we checked whether co-mutations determined by single-cell analysis had corresponding bulk variant allele frequency (VAF) peaks. While bulk analysis suggested the absence of subclonal peaks and, possibly, neutral evolution in some cases, the single-cell analysis identified coexisting subclones. The overlaps of bulk VAF ranges for co-mutations from different subclones made it difficult to separate them. Complex subclonal structures and dynamic evolution could be hidden under the seemingly clonal neutral pattern at the bulk level, suggesting single-cell analysis is necessary to avoid underestimation of tumor heterogeneity.

This paper addresses the multi-drone formation capture in three-dimensional (3D) environments. The omni-directional minimum volume (ODMV) 3D-Voronoi diagram algorithm is proposed for the first time to achieve the two goals of (1) forming and keeping a capture and (2) planning the control action within its safe, collision region for each drone. First, we extend the traditional 2D Voronoi diagram to the 3D environment and use the non-overlapping spatial division property of 3D Voronoi diagram to inherently avoid the collision between drones. Second, we make improvements to the problem of capture angle in our minimum area strategy and propose an omni-directional minimum volume strategy to accomplish the effective capture of a target by constraining the capture angle. Finally, the wolf pack algorithm (WPA) with variable step size is introduced to provide a movement strategy for multi-drone formations. Thus, the proposed ODMV can also achieve dynamic target and multi target capture in environments with obstacles. The Optitrack motion capture system and Crazyflie drones are used to conduct the multi-drone capture experiment. Both simulation and experimental results are included to demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed ODMV method.

The stratospheric airship has important value in both commercial and military use. The altitude position control is very crucial for the airship to conduct specific missions, which is also a challenge because of both the severe relative aerodynamic mismatches and the large lag due to the quite low speed of the airship within 15 m/s. In this paper, a coordinated altitude and attitude control method was proposed to realize satisfactory altitude position control while maintaining the attitude stability by properly employing the two actuators, the propeller thrust and the elevator, in a consistent manner. In this process, the references for the vertical speed and the pitch were specified in a straightforward way of proportionating them by considering their physical characteristics and the inherent symmetrical relationship between them, which can be obtained through the kinematics. An extended disturbance observer was used to eliminate the severe aerodynamic uncertainties to symmetrically distribute the two actuator outputs by dynamically decoupling the vertical speed and the pitch angular rate loops into the two independent integrators. As a result, the explicit proportional controllers were sufficient to realize efficient command tracking. Rigorous theoretical investigation was provided to symmetrically prove the quantitative bounded property of the estimation and tracking errors. The simulation results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach, which can realize a 500-m altitude difference tracking within 200 s with less than 0.5 deg/s pitch angular rate.

The most lethal subtype of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) is H3K27M. Although ACVR1 mutations have been implicated in the pathogenesis of this currently incurable disease, the impacts of bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling on more than 60% of H3K27M DIPG carrying ACVR1 wild-type remain unknown. Here we show that BMP ligands exert potent tumor-suppressive effects against H3.3K27M and ACVR1 WT DIPG in a SMAD-dependent manner. Specifically, clinical data revealed that many DIPG tumors have exploited the capacity of CHRDL1 to hijack BMP ligands. We discovered that activation of BMP signaling promotes the exit of DIPG tumor cells from 'prolonged stem-cell-like' state to differentiation by epigenetically regulating CXXC5, which acts as a tumor suppressor and positive regulator of BMP signaling. Beyond showing how BMP signaling impacts DIPG, our study also identified the potent antitumor efficacy of Dacinostat for DIPG. Thus, our study delineates context-dependent features of the BMP signaling pathway in a DIPG subtype.

Computer-aided color parameter imaging (CPI) is a novel technique for contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) that can highlight hemodynamic features of focal lesions. The purpose of the study was to investigate the role of CPI in evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) hemodynamic features and prognosis after radiofrequency ablation (RFA). One hundred twenty-one patients with HCC underwent CEUS with CPI analysis before RFA. Eighty-nine patients had pathologically proven well- to moderately differentiated HCC (WM-HCC), and 32 patients had poorly differentiated or undifferentiated HCC (PU-HCC). Perfusion features of CEUS and contrast-enhanced computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging were compared with CPI parameters for WM-HCC and PU-HCC. The results indicated that 67.4% of WM-HCC had a centrifugal perfusion CPI pattern, whereas 84.4% of PU-HCC tumors had a centripetal pattern (p0.001, odds ratio = 11.2). The specificity, sensitivity and accuracy of the CPI perfusion pattern regarding HCC pathological grade were higher than those with routine CEUS (84.4% vs. 9.4%, p0.001; 67.4% vs. 3.4%, p0.001; 71.9% vs. 5.0%, p0.001). Moreover, multivariable analysis revealed that the CPI perfusion pattern was an independent risk factor for progression-free survival post-RFA (centripetal group: 28.3 ± 4.1 mo vs. centrifugal group: 45.8 ± 4.4 mo, p = 0.002). A novel CPI technique for CEUS could non-invasively provide valuable hemodynamic information and predict prognosis for HCC patients treated by RFA.

High-speed railway offers an opportunity to address the disparity between economic development and transportation capacity. It can improve transportation capacity and reduce transportation costs. With the large-scale running of the high-speed railway, initial activities will impact the surrounding ecological environment. Ecological environment monitoring along the railway is very important. However, the current research focuses mainly on a single ecological index evaluation of ecological problems and mostly on the ecological evaluation along the highway, with less research on ecological monitoring along the high-speed railway. Moreover, the studies have not considered the comprehensive effects of multiple remote sensing indexes. Given the above scientific issues, taking the Beijing–Tianjin Intercity (BTIC ) railway as the study area, we selected the Landsat satellite images from 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2020 as the research data. We used the revised remote sensing–based ecological index (R_RSEI) to comprehensively analyze and evaluate the ecological environment quality along the BTIC railway from 2008 to 2020. After extracting the greenness, dryness, humidity, and heat indices, we determined the weights of four indices using principal component analysis. According to the ecological environment assessment index model, we monitored and analyzed the ecological environment along the BTIC railway. The results showed that the ecological environment quality along the BTIC railway generally increased from 2008 to 2011 and then generally decreased from 2014 to 2020. The ecological and environmental qual- ity of the study area generally was ranked as "poor" and "worse." Therefore, the trend of environmental pollution along the BTIC railway was not optimistic and thus led to many problems in the ecological environment. The proposed method is expected to solve the lack or the single problem of ecological evaluation index along the railway line.

Sexual dimorphism of plants shapes the different morphology and physiology between males and females. However, it is still unclear whether it influences belowground ecological processes. In this study, rhizosphere soil of male and female Populus deltoides and bulk soil were collected from an 18-year plantation (male and female trees mix-planted) and grouped into three soil compartments. Soil carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) levels were determined, and soil bacterial communities were analyzed by high-throughput sequencing. The results showed the less total carbon and total organic carbon, the more nutrients (available phosphorus, nitrate nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen) available in the rhizosphere soils of female poplars than soils of males. However, α-diversity indices of the rhizosphere bacterial communities under male plants were significantly higher. Principal component analysis showed that the bacterial communities were significantly different between the male and female soil compartments. Further, the bacterial co-occurrence network in soil under male trees had more nodes and edges than under females. BugBase analysis showed the more functional bacteria taxa related to biofilm formation and antioxidation under males. The results indicate that soils under male poplars had more diverse and more complex co-occurrence networks of the rhizosphere bacterial community than soils under female trees, implying that male poplars might have better environmental adaptability. The study provides insight into the different soil-microbe interactions of dioecious plants. More details about the influencing mechanism of sexual dimorphism on rhizosphere soil bacterial communities need to be further studied.

The target of typical PCR analysis is restricted to nucleic acids. To this end, we report here a novel strategy to simultaneously detect genetic and metabolic markers using commercial PCR kits with cucurbit[8]urils (CB[8]) implemented to manipulate the activity of Taq DNA polymerase. CB[8] binds with the nonionic surfactants and displaces them from the polymerase surface, resulting in decreased enzyme activity. Meanwhile, the inhibited enzyme can be reversibly activated when spermine, the downstream metabolite of ornithine decarboxylase (ODC), is present in the sample, which competitively binds to CB[8] and recovers polymerase activity. CB[8] was implemented in conventional PCR kits not only to reduce false-positive results but also to extend the detection range of PCR technology. With this novel method to detect ODC in cell lysates containing both the nucleotides and intracellular metabolites, positive results were only observed in highly active HEK 293T cells, whereas silent cells treated with ODC inhibitor showed negative readouts, therefore providing a simple but elegant dual-modality PCR method for precision diagnosis.

Coastal deltas are extremely susceptible to flooding from sea, rivers, heavy rain and even more severe combinations thereof. Many coastal deltas are densely populated, and flood risk forms a serious threat that will likely increase in the future. There are two main mechanisms to reduce the devastating impacts of these floods; (1) adaptation to the increasing climate risks and (2) improved early warning and emergency response. We will present the Destination Earth digital twin on coastal compound flood inundation forecasting and climate adaptation.This digital replica of the delta will connect DE data to impact models and will generate user oriented actionable output. High-resolution meteorological forecasts and regular updated climate scenarios form the input for regional coastal and inland models that provide boundary conditions for local models. Local models are used for simulation of small-scale hydrological processes, high-resolution 2D compound flood inundation and impact on population and buildings. A flexible data post-processing routine, to be co-designed with the end-users, will be implemented to translates model results into actionable context-specific information. It will, for example, produce flood inundation and risk maps as well as other user-requested indicators. For the climate adaptation component, the system will allow users to run WhatIf scenarios to explore adaptation measures. The data products will be disseminated to the users via Web-API, WEB-mapping service or through (S)FTP, depending on the users’ preferences.We will outline and demonstrate our digital twin that serves both flood impact reduction mechanisms, i.e. climate adaptation and forecasting extremes. We will highlight end users’ needs and requirement that are involved through co-creation/design of the service.

Two insecticides (deltamethrin and pirimiphos-methyl) were evaluated in laboratory assays as grain protectants when applied as a total percentage of a maize mass to control adult Prostephanus truncatus and Sitophilus zeamais. All experiments were conducted at the University of Thessaly in Greece at 30°C and 65% RH under continuous darkness. Either insecticide was applied to 20 g of maize placed in a vial or to the upper one half, one fourth, or one-eighth layer of the maize, then insects were either added to the vials before or after the maize in a completely randomized block design CRBD with n = 9 replicates. Mortality, progeny production, and insect damaged kernels (IDK) were then evaluated for each vial. Insect introduction method (before or after) did not have any impact on any of the variables. Mortality was nearly 100% for all treatments for both insecticides for P. truncatus. Subsequently, progeny production and the number of insect damaged kernels were very low or zero for P. truncatus. Mortality of S. zeamais remained low across layer treatments for deltamethrin. However, S. zeamais was easily controlled by pirimiphos-methyl. The results of this laboratory study show that while deltamethrin and pirimiphos-methyl have some effectiveness as a layer treatment on a column of maize, efficacy will be dependent on the target species, and the depth of the treated layer, as well as the location on which the insects are present.

Background The architecture of retrorectal fasciae is complex, as determined by different anatomical concepts. The aim of this study was to examine the anatomical characteristics of the inferomedial extension of the urogenital fascia (UGF) involving the pelvis to explore its relationship with the adjacent fasciae. Furthermore, we have expounded on the clinical application of UGF. Method For our study, we examined 20 adult male pelvic specimens fixed in formalin, including 2 entire pelvic specimens and 18 semipelvic specimens. Our department has performed 466 laparoscopic rectal cancer procedures since January 2020. We reviewed the surgical videos involving UGF preservation and analyzed the anatomy of the UGF. Results The bilateral hypogastric nerves ran between the visceral and parietal layers of the UGF. The visceral fascia migrated ventrally at the fourth sacral vertebra, which formed the rectosacral fascia together with the fascia propria of the rectum; the parietal layer continually extended to the pelvic diaphragm, terminating at the levator ani muscle. At the third to fourth sacral vertebra level, the two layers constituted the lateral ligaments. Conclusion The double layers of the UGF are vital structures for comprehending the posterior fascia relationship of the rectum. The upper segment between the fascia propria of the rectum and the visceral layer has no evident nerves or blood vessels and is regarded as the " holy plane” for the operation.

Background: Extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) is a significant health problem which can lead to severe morbidity and mortality. In clinical practice, EPTB can have a variety of nonspecific clinical manifestations and can be concurrent with other types of EPTB. As information pertaining to concurrent EPTB is scarce, research efforts are needed to find concurrent EPTB types and to explore the association networks and rules of concurrent EPTB. Materials and Methods: An observational multicenter study was carried out at 21 hospitals from 15 provinces in China from Jan 1, 2011 to Dec 31, 2017. All the adult EPTB inpatients (≥15years) were included. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to examine the associations of gender and age group for concurrent EPTB. The association network and rules for concurrent EPTB were analyzed by the Apriori algorithm. Results: A total of 75,993 adult EPTB inpatients (not including EPTB concurrent with PTB) were included. The ratio of male: female was 1.32. The most common types of EPTB lesions were tuberculous pleurisy (46.47%). In the fully adjusted multivariable logistic regression models, it was found that female EPTB patients (aOR=1.129,95%CI: 1.081-1.178) were more likely to have concurrent EPTB. As age increased, the risk of concurrent EPTB decreased (aORConclusion: The present study revealed the occurrence of concurrent EPTB types and analyzed the association network and rules among adult EPTB for the first time in a large sample population. Clinicians should be alert to the incidence of concurrent EPTB and that these patients require administration of customized treatment regimens in order to achieve the best outcomes.

There is interest in developing controlled release materials (CRMs) with novel modes of action to improve resistance management. Long-lasting insecticide-incorporated netting (LLIN) with deltamethrin has been effectively used against stored-product pests. Here, we evaluated the efficacy of different CRMs (LLIN or packaging) with each of four active ingredients (AI) (deltamethrin, permethrin, indoxacarb, and dinotefuran) and compared them to control CRMs in reducing movement and increasing mortality of phosphine-susceptible and -resistant Rhyzopertha dominica and Tribolium castaneum. Adults were exposed for 0.5, 2, or 60 min, and movement was assessed immediately or after 24, or 168 h using video-tracking and Ethovision software. We recorded total distance and velocity traveled by adults. Finally, we tested higher rates of each AI on surrogate netting material (e.g., standardized-sized cheesecloth) and varied exposure time to obtain median lethal time (LT50) for each compound and susceptibility. Exposure to LLIN with deltamethrin significantly reduced the movement of both species compared to the other CRMs regardless of their susceptibility to phosphine. Deltamethrin was the most effective AI for both species, while dinotefuran and indoxacarb were the least effective for R. dominica and T. castaneum adults, respectively. Most AIs resulted in appreciable and approximately equivalent mortality at higher concentrations among phosphine-susceptible and -resistant strains. Our results demonstrate that CRMs can be an additional approach to combat phosphine-resistant populations of stored product insects around food facilities. Other compounds such as permethrin, dinotefuran, and indoxacarb are also effective against phosphine-resistant populations of these key stored product insects except indoxacarb for T. castaneum.

In this article, we developed a new composite gel for plugging dominant fluid flow channels in offshore oilfields. The composite gel was synthesized by organic and inorganic gel networks interpenetrating into a compact three-dimensional spatial network structure, resulting in a good plugging effect. The performance of the composite gel was evaluated from the aspects of gelling characteristics and gel microstructure, while the plugging effect was evaluated through core experiments. The results showed that the influencing order of each component on gelling was acrylamidecross-linking agentureainitiatorpolyaluminum chloride. The initial viscosity of the composite gel was about 5-6 mPa·s, and it had good plugging abilities in different permeability cores. In comparison with inorganic gels (plugging ratio of 77.2%) or organic gels (84.8%), the composite gel system has a plugging ratio of up to 99.5% using a core with water permeability of 4300 mD. Besides, the reservoir applicability of the composite gel was studied, and the results suggested that the composite gel system had good resistance to dilution, mechanical shear, oil corrosion, and aging and could be quickly removed after plugging.

To analyze the survival outcomes and prognostic factors of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for pancreatic adenocarcinoma liver metastasis (PALM).Between January 2010 and July 2021, 20 patients (13 males) with an average age of 58.9 ± 11.7 years who underwent RFA for PALM were included. The mean maximum diameter of PALMs was 2.6 ± 1.1 cm (1.0-6.0 cm). Survival curves were built using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by the log-rank test. Multivariable analyses were performed by using the Cox proportional hazards model.Twenty patients with 29 PALMs underwent 23 RFA sessions. Technical efficacy was achieved in 28 PALMs (28/29, 96.6%). The mean overall survival (OS) after RFA was 14.6 months and the 1-, 2-year survival rates were 39.5%, 18.1%, respectively. With multivariate analysis, abnormal serum levels of CA199 (RFA is a safe and effective treatment for patients with PALM, especially in patients with normal serum level of CA199 or the patients without extrahepatic metastases before RFA.
