The article presents the results of an empirical study characterizing the dependence of the manifestation of patriotism and attitude to a special military operation among students. The relevance of the research is due to the socio-political transformations of the domestic and foreign policy of the state, which require a revision of the system of patriotic education of young people based on basic, national and historical values. Changes in the architecture of interstate relations require the restructuring of the formation of a person who is ready to defend the priorities of his country in various spheres of life, which is impossible without a true patriotic attitude to his homeland. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was a systematic approach developed by domestic researchers B.F. Lomov, V.S. Merlin, V.D. Nebylitsin, A.I. Krupnov, etc.; a holistic and functional approach to the study of personality traits and character traits (Krupnov, 1994), studies of patriotism (Kudinov, 2017,2018; Gavrilushkin, 2012; Lutovinov, 1997; Potemkin, 2009; etc.). The questionnaire "Patriogram" was used to study patriotism (Kudinov, Potemkin, 2008). To identify the attitude of students to a special military operation, an author's questionnaire was developed. The results of the study on a sample of 109 students of Moscow universities, followed by mathematical and statistical analysis, allowed us to establish statistically significant differences between the indicators of patriotism among students with different attitudes to a special military operation. In general, it was found that there is no direct relationship between the indicators of patriotism and a positive attitude to the special operation. Low indicators of patriotism are also not directly related to a negative attitude towards their own. The empirical data obtained indicate that the students consider patriotism in a broad context and does not associate this personal property with confrontation in relation to the outside world. The results of the study prove the need to improve educational activities aimed at the formation and development of patriotism at different stages of education.

Introduction. Platelet dense granule disorders are a group of rare heterogeneous disorders of the blood coagulation system in which bleeding occurs due to functional and morphological disorders of platelet organelles accumulating phosphates and bioactive amines. Aim — to present a clinical case of a 37-year-old patient with severe hemorrhagic syndrome. Basic information. An observation of the occurrence of hemorrhagic manifestations of unspecified genesis in a patient is described. The results of 25 healthy volunteer examinations of both sexes were used as a control for testing methods of diagnosis of Platelet dense granule disorder. Methods of assessing the hemostasis system, platelet morphological features using electron microscopy, as well as platelet accumulation of mepacrine using a flow cytometer were studied. Platelet dense granule disorder was detected by electron microscopy and confirmed by flow cytometry in a patient with severe hemorrhagic manifestations, in whom the diagnosis was not verified for a prolonged period of time.

Information on the state of commercial stocks of the fish population of the Ivankovo reservoir from 1980 to the present is presented. According to our data, the total commercial fish stocks in the Ivankovo reservoir in comparison with the 1980s and 1990s decreased by almost 1,000 tons. Over the past 5 years, they have been in the range of 2245–2808 tons. The closure of industrial fishing in 2007 led not to an increase, but to a decrease in fish stocks, due to a decrease in the rate of their linear and weight growth, deterioration of exterior and commercial qualities. The material damage caused by the closure of industrial fishing at the Ivankovsky reservoir since 2007 has been determined. To determine the material damage caused by the closure of industrial fishing at the Ivankovsky reservoir, retail prices for 21 types of fish were determined. The resulting value for each type of fish was correlated with the volume of fish that was not caught due to the absence of fishing in the period from July 2007 to 2022. Data on catch volumes in the Ivankovo reservoir are taken from the Orders on approval of the total allowable catches and recommended catch of aquatic biological resources in 2007–2022. Over the past 15 years, the possibility of catching almost 7.4 thousand tons of fish has been lost, which in monetary terms is 1,103 million rubles.

The VVER-1000 thermal neutron reactor can operate on mixed uranium-plutonium fuel with a content of reactor-grade plutonium up to 5% with a 100% loaded core. In this case, plutonium burns up to 56% of odd isotopes. The energy potential of such plutonium is very low, and its further use in thermal reactors is impractical. However, such plutonium can be used in fast neutron reactors. The paper presents the results of investigating the possibility for such isotopic plutonium composition to be used in the BN-1200 thermal neutron reactor and its value be increased for the plutonium recycle in the reactor. For this purpose, a precision model of the BN-1200 reactor has been developed using the Serpent Monte Carlo code. The model has been verified against the reference values of the nuclear fuel burnup and breeding ratios. The study has shown that such plutonium can be used in the BN-1200 reactor MOX fuel. Maintaining the operating cycle length requires the plutonium fraction in the MOX fuel to be increased up to 2%. In the BN-1200 reactor, the isotopic composition has been found to improve for the further recycle of plutonium in the thermal reactor, i.e. odd plutonium isotopes increase. The fewer odd plutonium isotopes at the beginning of the BN-1200 operating cycle, the greater their increase. It can be seen as the result of the calculation that plutonium from VVER-1000 spent mixed fuel must be loaded into the BN-1200 reactor at least twice to increase the fraction of odd isotopes to the level of reactor-grade plutonium.

Features of the phenomenon of human decision-making in the conditions of war are analyzed. The paper is revealing the phenomenon of decision-making during war based on the events form the modern Russian-Ukrainian war. The research findings state that decision-making in the conditions of war has differences between people who defend their lives, family, country, and aggressors who seek to seize territories, turn free people into acolytes or colonies of their state, and impose autocracy on a democratic society. The authors defined the attractors of people's decision-making in war, such as: “home”, “heart and mind”, “strength and will”, “heroism and dignity”, “social order and victory”. The conducted research has a conceptual nature and serves as a methodological basis for conducting practical scientific research on the development of effective decision-making skills in conditions of destructive human influence and existential disasters.

Information and communication technologies penetrate into all areas of everyday life of modern society, learning, helping and replacing human labor. Without information technologies, it is already impossible to imagine the field of medical science: at present and in the near future, they will improve the continuity of health monitoring, take over the prediction of the risks of complications, the adjustment of drug therapy during life and many other processes. The article is devoted to the problems and prospects of information technologies in healthcare in Russia. The general model of information technologies, problems and ways of solving the restrictions from Western campaigns are highlighted. In view of the digitalization of the healthcare system in our country, the article talks about the need to ensure the continuity and independence from external influence of information technology systems in its full cycle: from client terminals, communication systems, to data storage and processing servers. The most important factor that allows us to speak with confidence about the development of specialized information technologies solutions in the healthcare system of the Russian Federation is an effective state policy in ensuring the digitalization of the economy: national projects, government programs, changes in legislation, roadmaps for achieving key indicators.

Objective: The semen quality of stallions including sperm motility is an important target of selection as it has a high level of individual variability. However, effects of the molecular architecture of the genome on the mechanisms of sperm formation and their preservation after thawing have been poorly investigated. Here, we conducted a genome-wide association study (GWAS) for the sperm motility of cryopreserved semen in stallions of various breeds.Methods: Semen samples were collected from the stallions of 23 horse breeds. The following semen characteristics were examined: progressive motility (PM), progressive motility after freezing (FPM), and the difference between PM and FPM. The respective DNA samples from these stallions were genotyped using Axiom Equine Genotyping Array.Results: We performed a GWAS search for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers and potential genes related to motility properties of frozen-thawed semen in the stallions of various breeds. As a result of the GWAS analysis, two SNP markers, rs1141327473 and rs1149048772, were identified that were associated with preservation of the frozen-thawed stallion sperm motility, the relevant putative candidate genes being NME/NM23 family member 8 (NME8), olfactory receptor family 2 subfamily AP member 1 (OR2AP1), and olfactory receptor family 6 subfamily C member 4 (OR6C4). Potential implications of effects of these genes on sperm motility are herein discussed.Conclusion: The GWAS results enabled us to localize novel SNPs and candidate genes for sperm motility in stallions. Implications of the study for horse breeding and genetics are a better understanding of genomic regions and candidate genes underlying stallion sperm quality, and improvement in horse reproduction and breeding techniques. The identified markers and genes for sperm cryotolerance and the respective genomic regions are promising candidates for further studying the biological processes in the formation and function of the stallion reproductive system.

The article presents the results of numerical simulation of the protection system of the mouth of the exhaust tower of a cooling tower with natural traction from freezing. To prevent the formation of ice, it is proposed to install an atmospheric air supply system at the mouth of the cooling tower, which ensures the creation of a protective boundary layer at the inner wall of the cooling tower and allows you to separate the warm moist air of the cooling tower from the cold walls. To test the possibility of using such a scheme, a numerical simulation of the process was performed using the k-SST turbulence model. The use of an additional air flow injection system makes it possible to increase the efficiency and reliability of a naturally aspirated cooling tower and a thermal power plant as a whole. Modeling of the cooling tower protection system from the formation of ice showed the possibility of using this scheme in all ranges of outdoor operating temperatures.

The urgency of the studied problem is due to the European integration of Ukraine and the presence in modern Ukrainian society of an acute need for codification of labour legislation. Ukraine has an extensive system of labour regulations that fail to correspond to one another and often lead to the violation of constitutional and human rights. This article aims to analyse the legislation of leading European countries in the field of codification of labour legislation in order to identify factors and problems of codification of labour legislation in Ukraine. Based on a comparative analysis of Ukrainian and European legislation in the field of codification of labour law, a list of recommendations will be presented aimed at improving the codification process of labour law in Ukraine. The materials of the article have practical value for everyone, who must participate in effective lawmaking in Ukraine.

The article presents the results of an empirical study revealing the role of different personal qualities in the choice of certain patterns of behavior in situations of cognitive dissonance. In the study on a sample of cadets (N=217), it was found that a certain ratio of personality qualities such as self-esteem, anxiety and locus of control are fundamental predictors in choosing a constructive or destructive strategy of behavior in a situation of cognitive dissonance. It has been empirically proved that the correlation between low anxiety, adequate self-esteem and internal self-regulation is typical for cadets choosing a constructive model of behavior in situations of cognitive dissonance that ensures the successful solution of a cognitive task. Cadets with a destructive strategy of behavior in such a situation have a statistically significant correlation of moderate or pronounced anxiety, inflated self-esteem and external regulation, which impedes getting out of a complex cognitive construct. And finally, the avoidant behavior model in cognitive dissonance is demonstrated by respondents with high anxiety, low self-esteem and external locus control. On the basis of the data obtained, a conclusion is made about the development of a special program for correction and enhancement of the emotional-volitional sphere of cadets during their studies at the university.

We find a lower bound for the k-subdomination number on the set of graphs with a given upper bound for vertex degrees. We study the cases where the proposed lower bound is sharp, construct the optimal graphs and indicate the corresponding k-subdominating functions. The results are interpreted in terms of social structures.

Evidence of the complexity of the cybersecurity problem is the rapid increase in the number of information security breaches and losses on cybersecurity threats combined with an increase in the average loss from each of the breaches. Therefore, it is necessary to create requirements for a cybersecurity system that could provide more opportunities in the choice of methods in the management of the protection of automated information systems. The task of determining the optimal quality indicators of information resource management systems of automated systems is one of the most important problems in designing integrated information security systems. This is due to the complexity of such systems, the presence of many variable parameters, and the complexity of calculating quality indicators. In addition, the determined quality indicators should not only ensure the optimality of the target function, but also the stability of the protection system in a wide range of external adverse effects. The problem is that the existing methods of calculating integrated quadratic estimates (IQE) do not take into account errors in determining quality indicators, as well as the vector nature of these indicators. The aim of this work is to solve problems (development of algorithms), which are a problem of optimization of stable protection management systems using vector objective functions. Based on the model of information management system protection of information resources in the form of an automatic control system, the method of forming integrated quadratic estimates (IQE) of control error is proposed. This method takes into account the weights of the estimates at the desired installation time and standard transfer functions. Algorithms for calculating IQE according to the modified Katz formula and Ostrom's method for arbitrary order control systems are developed, including vector representation of the objective function of the protection system. The vector penalty function is proposed and the algorithm of its calculation is developed to display the degree of infringement of conditions of stability of parameters of the system of protection by the Rauss-Hurwitz criterion.

Formation of unusual unsymmetrical dimers or/and indenes via Rh2(esp)2-catalyzed decomposition of 3-diazo-2-arylidenesuccinimides has been investigated. The reaction proceeded under mild conditions, and its result was shown to strongly depend on the nature of the substituents in the diazo substrate. The new reaction provides access to dibenzoazulenodipyrrole and indenopyrrole derivatives in moderate to high yield. Dibenzoazulenodipyrroles bearing alkyl substituents at the nitrogen atom showed pronounced cytotoxocity against the A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cell line while N-aryl analogs were non-cytotoxic.

The research determines socio-demographic andinstitutional characteristics of centralized hot water supplyservices consumers in Zaporizhzhia, the level of interest inthe preservation and modernization of centralized hot watersupply system in the city, the level of readiness of apartmentbuilding residents for collective responsibility for theconsumption of hot water supply services and strategies formodernization of the centralized hot water supply system.Research results identified possible ways to increaseapartment building residents’ readiness for modernization:1) development of the subjectivity of the apartmentbuilding residents, because it is impossible to solve commonproblems of such buildings in case of unity absence of theirinhabitants; 2) increasing the level of social interactionbetween the community and local authorities; 3) developinstitute of social organizers (social technicians). Researchresults suggest that condominium residents of Zaporizhzhiashow a very low level of awareness in the field of housinglegislation and the condition of their own buildings and thefact that every such resident understands the feasibility andneed to modernize the existing hot water supply system.The main obstacle to the modernization of hot water supplysystems is the need to attract large financial resources.The second – is the unwillingness of apartment buildingresidents to cooperate. One of the ways to solve the problemis to provide a quality information campaign to raise publicawareness of: financial capabilities for apartment buildings;better practices of project activities of OSBB buildings.

Training specialists in the field of upbringing is currently a significant task facing the education system. It is necessary not only to find new organisational forms of training educators, counselors, organiser pedagogues, but also to use the accumulated experience, including to study the system of training methodologists of upbringing work at the historical and pedagogic faculties created 60 years ago. The article discusses the system of pedagogue training, including the principles, organisation of educational, extracurricular activities, collective upbringing and support of student self-government. Much attention is paid to the special environment formed during the interaction of students of different courses, the personality-oriented position of teachers. The analysis of the faculty's work allows us to identify the key elements of the upbringing system, which had been consistently created on the basis of scientific developments of Kostroma scientists.

The work objective is to consider the possibility of creating conditions for appearing a leading crack by adjusting the modes of vibratory turning, regardless of the properties of the machined materials. The problem to which the paper is devoted. The paper is devoted to modeling vibration turning for developing stresses in the machined material to create conditions for appearing and maintaining a leading crack and in the cutting area during vibratory turning, the search for optimal modes to create conditions for its existence. Research methods. Modeling was carried out by the finite element method in Deform software application. The starting point for modeling was the results of field experiments on vibratory turning of corrosion-resistant austenitic steel 12X18H10T. The novelty of the work lies in the application of the finite element method to define the modes of vibratory turning in order to create a certain area of internal stresses in the processed material in a given direction for forming a leading crack. Study results. As a result of modeling, optimal turning modes are defined during vibration cutting, which will create conditions for appearing a leading crack and exhausting the plasticity margin of the machined material. Conclusions: The creation of a leading crack and the exhaustion of the plasticity margin of the machined material contributes to the chip control, the formation of microgeometry of the machined surface during vibratory turning, the reduction of cutting forces when turning hard-to-machine materials and built-up surfaces.

Objective: to evaluate the effect of thyrostatics on clinical symptoms, the frequency of cardiac arrhythmias and morpho-functional parameters of the left heart in patients with a combination of thyrotoxicosis and ischemic heart failure. Materials and methods: 85 patients participated in the study. Group 1st — patients with CHF of functional class II-III (FC) on the background of coronary heart disease and concomitant thyrotoxicosis (n=40), average age 58.6±4.6 years; group 2nd — patients with manifest thyrotoxicosis without cardiovascular pathology (n=45), average age 46.7± 4.1 years. When included in the study and after 6 months of therapy with the addition of thyrostatics, the clinical condition of patients and physical activity were evaluated, daily monitoring of an electrocardiogram and an echocardiographic study (EchoCG) were performed. Results: after 6 months of combined therapy with the inclusion of thyrostatics against the background of persistent drug-induced euthyroidism, exercise tolerance increased in comorbid patients (group 1) (pConclusion: the inclusion of thyrostatics in combination therapy and normalization of thyroid function contributed to the reduction of clinical symptoms of heart failure, the frequency of cardiac arrhythmias, improvement of systolic and diastolic LV function in comorbid patients with ischemic CHF and concomitant thyrotoxicosis.

Subject. Chronic odontogenic maxillary sinusitis is an inflammatory disease of the mucous membrane of the maxillary sinus caused by an odontogenic infection. According to foreign sources, this disease occurs in 14-20% of the world's population. Sinusitis of odontogenic etiology account for up to 40% of all inflammatory diseases of the maxillary sinus. Biofilm, the root cause of apical periodontitis and odontogenic sinusitis, is resistant to the isolated effects of most medications. The combination of mechanical removal and irrigation in most cases leads to a sufficient reduction in microbial load. Several studies have concluded that none of the currently used root canal treatment methods and endodontic instruments can completely clean root canals, especially root canals with "irregular anatomy". When preparing the upper molars with rotary instruments, 43% ± 29% and 33% ± 19% of the walls of the mesiobuccal and distobuccal channels, respectively, remained intact. Methodology. The article presents a case of treatment of a patient with a periapical abscess with a fistula communicating with the maxillary sinus, as well as concomitant maxillary sinusitis. Positive dynamics in the healing of the periradicular process was achieved by increasing the apical diameter of the preparation. Result. Healing of the periradicular process, as well as inflammatory phenomena in the maxillary sinus at the time of examination after 10 months from the start of treatment. Conclusions. Thus, an increase in the apical diameter to sizes "unusual" for a dentist (45.02, 50.02 according to ISO) not only contributes to the healing of the periradicular process, but also does not weaken the root of the tooth, since the true diameter of the apical zone is much larger than it seems at first glance.

Four cases of operative treatment for ochronosis arthropathy in patients with alcaptonuria are presented. In 3 patients hip joint and in 1 patient knee joint were affected. Prior to surgery all patients were treated conservatively. Two patients successfully underwent total hip replacement. Intertrochanteric femur osteotomy was performed in 1 case. In the fourth patient arthroplasty of knee joint with allograft from rib cartilage failed due to suppurative arthritis resulted in joint resection and arthrodesis.

Lung cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer type and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) represents most of the diagnoses of lung cancer. Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR2) is a member of the VEGF family of receptor tyrosine kinase proteins, which are expressed on both endothelial and tumor cells, are one of the key proteins contributing to cancer development, and are involved in drug resistance. We previously showed that Musashi-2 (MSI2) RNA-binding protein is associated with NSCLC progression by regulating several signaling pathways relevant to NSCLC. In this study, we performed Reverse Protein Phase Array (RPPA) analysis of murine lung cancer, which suggests that VEGFR2 protein is strongly positively regulated by MSI2. Next, we validated VEGFR2 protein regulation by MSI2 in several human lung adenocarcinoma cell line models. Additionally, we found that MSI2 affected AKT signaling via negative PTEN mRNA translation regulation. In silico prediction analysis suggested that both VEGFR2 and PTEN mRNAs have predicted binding sites for MSI2. We next performed RNA immunoprecipitation coupled with quantitative PCR, which confirmed that MSI2 directly binds to VEGFR2 and PTEN mRNAs, suggesting a direct regulation mechanism. Finally, MSI2 expression positively correlated with VEGFR2 and VEGF-A protein levels in human lung adenocarcinoma samples. We conclude that the MSI2/VEGFR2 axis contributes to lung adenocarcinoma progression and is worth further investigations and therapeutic targeting.

Purpose: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive disease representing 12% to 13% of total lung cancers, with median survival of Experimental Design: To avoid DLT for useful cytotoxic agents, the recently developed drug STA-8666 combines a chemical moiety targeting active HSP90 (concentrated in tumors) fused via cleavable linker to SN38, the active metabolite of irinotecan. We compare potency and mechanism of action of STA-8666 and irinotecan in vitro and in vivo.Results: In two SCLC xenograft and patient-derived xenograft models, STA-8666 was tolerated without side effects up to 150 mg/kg. At this dose, STA-8666 controlled or eliminated established tumors whether used in a first-line setting or in tumors that had progressed following treatment on standard first- and second-line agents for SCLC. At 50 mg/kg, STA-8666 strongly enhanced the action of carboplatin. Pharmacokinetic profiling confirmed durable STA-8666 exposure in tumors compared with irinotecan. STA-8666 induced a more rapid, robust, and stable induction of cell-cycle arrest, expression of signaling proteins associated with DNA damage and cell-cycle checkpoints, and apoptosis in vitro and in vivo, in comparison with irinotecan.Conclusions: Together, these results strongly support clinical development of STA-8666 for use in the first- or second-line setting for SCLC. The empirical study featured the attitude of students to restrictive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper introduces various patterns of attitudes that adolescents with different indicators of value orientations and personal express to the lockdown. An authentic questionnaire with emotional, cognitive, and behavioral blocks was used to define the dominant attitude, A. I. Krupnov’s test – to study the responsibility patterns, and Sh. Schwartz's questionnaire – to describe the system of values. The obtained results made it possible to identify some coping strategies in respondents with different personal qualities. Certain dominant values and the level of responsibility proved to be able to determine a positive or negative attitude to the lockdown. By taking into account the age and personal qualities of the population, authorities one can develop better preventive measures in future.

The article highlights the study of the part of a comprehensive geoecological survey related to the analysis of the potential ecological risk due to the abandoned deep wells on the territory of the Astrakhan region. The research methods are based on a comprehensive study of the basic parameters of the geological and technogenic environments that determine the potential ecological consequences of technogenic accidents. There are discussed the principles of the methodology of ranking the territory of the Astrakhan region, depending on the complex of geological and hydrogeological parameters determining the degree of protection of the geological environment from the technogenic pollution. A detailed description of the main lithofacies and hydrogeological features of the the section of the quaternary deposits of the studied area is presented. The most vulnerable deposits in terms of lithofacies and hydrogeology for technogenic pollution deposits are indicated. Data on the filtration characteristics of quaternary deposits presented in the section of the studied area is given. There is given information about the location of oil and gas from the abandoned deep wellheads as one of the technogenic factors that determine the pollution of the environment. There has been developed a comprehensive first aquifer protection scheme of south-western part of the Astrakhan region based on available hydrogeological, lithofacies features of the section structure. Four main categories of protection of the Pleistocene aquifer within the studied area from technogenic pollution have been identified. Their percentage ratio within the studied area was determined, in particular, the least protected aquifer (category 1) is predominant. The abandoned deep wells are localized in relation to the protection categories of the Pleistocene aquifer. The studied area has a complex of lithofacies and hydrogeological parameters that maximally contribute to the risk of developing technogenic pollution, which may arise as a result of the poor technical condition of the abandoned deep wells.

The main purpose of the research was development of a method-based approach and software for the assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of OSH management system in the company through a predictive model for the assessment of the correlation of an accident risk and generalized desirability indicator based on Harrington function. OSH management system status in a company is proposed to be assessed using mathematical methods for the processing of individual indicators and calculating generalized desirability indicator based on Harrington "desirability curve". It is proposed to use an expert approach in order to determine individual indicators and assess their weight. It is suggested that such mathematical values as additive synthesizing function, weighted arithmetic mean, multiplicative synthesizing function, weighted geometric mean, should be calculated in "E2" software. A methodology approach was developed involving mathematical processing of data in various source formats (shares, per cent, numbers, and words) so that Harrington "desirability curve" can be used to assess OSH management system effectiveness and efficacy in the company. A C# software code was developed to import and export Microsoft Excel data which significantly simplifies software use. A predictive model was developed showing the correlation between a professional accident risk value and generalized desirability indicator.

The purpose of the publication is to reveal the essence of automobile movement in Sumy as a social cause, to describe its main tendencies and indicate the role of individuals in the development of local motorism. The topicality of the research is preconditioned by the lack of scientific investigation on this topic, as well as the need to supplement the general picture of the development of motorism in the Russian Empire. Various aspects of automobile traffic in Sumy have been considered (the concept of “automobile movement” is indicated in the meaning of a social phenomenon): auto trade, auto repair, the introduction of local traffic rules, automobile accidents, the formation of a stratum of drivers and car owners, their participation in races and rallies. In particular, the businesses of the owner of the first car dealership in Sumy Kaidansky and his competitor Poguliaichenko are mentioned as well as the existence of the Gerenshtein-Yankovsky auto repair shop. The main traffic rules adopted by the Sumy City Duma in 1908 are specified. On the basis of reports of the local press, typical traffic violations with the participation of cars are analyzed: crashes with horse-drawn vehicles, speeding, drunk driving, cutting in buildings and pedestrians. Special attention is paid to the public organization of motorists – Sumy Automobile Club established in 1912. In particular, the main provisions of the club’s statute, the rights and obligations of its participants have been analyzed. The names of some of its members have been specified. The activity of the organization and its place in the all-Russian automobile traffic have been assessed. The role of Sumy passionaries of motorism – entrepreneurs Ivan Leshchinsky and Eduard Kaidansky is emphasized. In particular, their participation in races and runs is mentioned. At the same time, the Moscow – Berlin – Paris rally where the Kaidansky team took part on a Mitchell car is covered more widely. Also, the brands of cars of Leshchinsky’s garage are named and the preferences for the cars of the sugar producer Pavel Kharitonenko are revealed. The appearance of departmental cars at the Sumy district administration is analyzed, the need for their use in the economic needs of the local government is determined. The duties of the zemstvo in the use of transport to the military department are clarified. The names of some of the chauffeurs who worked for private individuals and in the zemstvo are identified.
