For unravelling the relationships of the Alpine Belts surrounding the Pannonian Basin a set of tectonostratigraphic terrane and paleogeographic maps of the Circum Pannonian Region (CPR) were prepared in a joint venture. The explanations to the map of Devonian - Lower Carboniferous pre-flysch environments also include the flysch-stage. The Devonian-Carboniferous of the CPR was attributed to oceanic domains, carbonatic/siliciclastic continental margins, intracontinental rift zones, siliciclastic flysches and post- to synorogenic sediments in foredeeps and remnant basins related to zones affected by early Carboniferous orogeny. The intensity of the Variscan orogeny is variable. Early Carboniferous Variscan orogeny with medium grade metamorphism is evident in parts of the Eastern Alps, Tisia, and the Carpatho- Balkanids. Intra-Late Carboniferous Variscan orogeny with deformation and up to low grade metamorphism is documented in the Eastern and Southern Alps, the Carpathians and Eastern Serbia. Domains with very weak or missing Variscan tectonothermal overprint are the Pelso Composite Terrane, the Jadar Block and the Bosnian Paleozoics.

Stratigraphy, tectonics and lithology of Palaeozoic rocks in the area of Western Palaeotethys show different patterns. Correlation between Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Macedonia was prepared within the UNESCO-IGCP Project 5.

This paper outlines the basic principles of welding by friction of high-speed cutting steel and tempered steel from the viewpoint of metallurgic processes that are going on in the material. The bases of welding by friction of different materials are outlined in a theoretical way. The experimental part of the paper also relates to friction welding of samples made of different metals: high-speed cutting steel (HS 6-5-2-5) on one hand and the tempered steel (C60) on the other., Ovaj rad daje osnovne principe zavarivanja trenjem brzoreznog čelika i kaljenog čelika s motrišta metalurškog procesa koji se odvija u materijalu. Osnove zavarivanja trenjem različitih materijala navedene su teorijski. Eksperimentalni dio rada odnosi se na zavarivanje trenjem uzoraka izrađenih od različitih metala: brzoreznog čelika (HS 6-5-2-5) s jedne i kaljenog čelika (C60) s druge strane.

Leaf and root samples of carrot, and flower samples of broccoli with symptoms referable to phytoplasma presence were collected and tested for phytoplasma presence. Detection, identification and molecular characterization were performed on 16S rDNA, Tuf, rpS3, putative aminoacid kinase and putative DNA helicase phytoplasma genes. Analyses of all five DNA fragments showed that carrot was infected with aster yellows phytoplasmas belonging to ribosomal subgroups 16SrI-A and 16SrI-B and broccoli only with phytoplasmas belonging to ribosomal subgroup 16SrI-B.

This paper outlines the bases of the friction welding process, especially when it comes to friction welding of different materials. This was illustrated on an example of friction welding of aluminum and copper, which is often applied in electrical engineering. The analysis of influential parameters was conducted based on the data obtained by an experiment, since the data on this topic are very seldom in the available literature., Ovaj članak daje osnove procesa zavarivanja trenjem, naročito kada je u pitanju zavarivanje trenjem različitih materijala. To je ilustrirano na primjeru zavarivanja trenjem aluminija i bakra, koji se često primjenjuje u elektrotehnici. Analiza utjecajnih parametara provedena je na temelju podataka dobivenih eksperimentom jer su podaci o ovoj temi vrlo rijetko u dostupnoj literaturi.

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of a cow’s health status (healthy, at risk, with mastitis ; indicated by the number of somatic cell counts) on the value of biochemical parameters in blood serum and milk of Holsteins regarding the month of sampling. Therefore, blood and milk samples were taken from 75 Holstein cows during May, June and July and analyzed in the laboratory. The statistical analysis of data showed that the all effects included in the used statistical model (parity, stage of lactation and classes SCC) statistically significantly (p< 0.05) affected the variability of biochemical parameters in blood plasma and milk of Holstein cows. Furthermore, variability in all analyzed parameters due to the month of sampling was observed. Obtained results indicate that, if biochemical parameters in blood serum or milk are used as a bioindicator of occurrence of inflammation of organism (mastitis or some other disorder), a correction needs to be done accordingly to animal-related effects (parity, lactation stage) and the effect of month of sampling.

Changes in climate will significantly affect agricultural production and especially plant and animal production worldwide. Climate change threatens the global food supply as certain crops become more expensive due to reduced production and supply. The global human production is projected to increase to over 9 billion people by the year 2050. Forecasted population growth will result in an increase in demands for food by about 50-60% approximated to the current demands. This study aimed to show the models and the possibilities of improving productivity while reducing emissions. Precision animal farming by using various sensors and big data management contributes improvement of the system in terms of animal health, productivity, and welfare. It will make it possible for farmers to optimize the management of the farm and consequently realize an efficient and sustainable production system from the economic and environmental point of view.

The aim of this paper was a detailed analysis of the state of the rural area of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia, from the aspect of opportunities and economic assumptions that this area has, using SWOT, PESTLE analysis and HDI methodology. The analysis showed that the rural area of the two analyzed countries is significantly behind the EU average. The results showed that political and legal factors have the greatest impact on the state of rural areas, while other factors in terms of development are not sufficiently represented. Furthermore, the results of the analysis show that over 90% of the population is literate, while the level of investment attraction is below the EU average. For this reason, it is necessary to raise labor productivity, that is, to initiate investment absorption measures to improve technology, and the production process, which would ultimately increase GDP per product unit. Therefore, it can be concluded that the rural areas of the analyzed countries have development potential, and it is necessary to use it adequately.

The forage yield on the pasture should meet the targeted consumption of the livestock (daily and seasonal) in order to successfully meet the nutritional needs of the livestock, as well as to use the pasture resources efficiently. The aim of the work used to present mathematical formulas to livestock farmers, business planners, and researchers involved in livestock nutrition, livestock management, and forage production and utilization.
