To advance oil and gas exploration in the South Yellow Sea Basin, characteristics of Triassic, including its correlation with regional strata, distribution, lithology characteristics, and karst development characteristics, are studied by geological mapping. Results show that there exist Zhouchongcun Formation and Qinglong Formation in the Triassic. Zhouchongcun Formation corresponds to Dongma Formation in the lower Yangtze Region, Badong Formation in the middle Yangtze Region, and Lekoupo Formation in the upper Yangtze region. The upper Qinglong Formation corresponds to the Nanlinghu Formation and Longshan Formation in Xiyanzi district, and Jialingjiang Formation in the middle and upper Yangtze region. Its lithology is limestone, intercalated with marl, mudstone, and argillaceous siltstone. The lower Qinglong Formation corresponds to the Yinkeng Formation at the lower Yangtze group. The lower Qinglong group has the complex lithologic characteristics, which can be divided into six categories from top to bottom, including limestone weathering crust layer, limestone, marl with mudstone, mudstone with limestone, marl with limestone, and mudstone interbedding limestone and mudstone. Karst phenomenon is well developed in the lower Qinglong Formation, and the thickness of weathering crust, revealed by cz35-2-1 well, reaches 60.5 m. Triassic in the South Yellow Sea Basin is mainly distributed in the central uplift and southern depression, showing the regional differences in distribution. Karstification is probably the main reason for this significant difference. Identification of karst phenomenon and stratigraphic division method towards Triassic drilling coring are two important directions of Triassic study in the South Yellow Sea Basin.

Abstract Food safety arising from exogenous contaminants has become a global concern. The development of simple, rapid and sensitive methods for effective detection and management of trace levels of exogenous contaminants has emerged as a hotspot, as well as the important priorities in food industry. Nanozymes that are defined as the emerging enzyme-like nanomaterials with robust catalytic activity, simple preparation, high stability, and low cost have been widely used in construction of biosensors for detection of hazardous contaminants in foods, greatly accelerating the advancement of food safety assay. In this review, we comprehensively summarize the recent advances of nanozyme-based biosensors, such as colorimetric, electrochemical, photoelectrochemical and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy-based sensors, over the past five years for the detection of various exogenous contaminants including mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticides, antibiotics, pathogens and microcystins in foods. Beyond a highlight of the advantages and limitations in real-world application, we critically propose the current challenges and future trends of these biosensors for exogenous contaminant detection in foods to guarantee their quality and safety.

Correlated chemiluminescence imaging and structural characterization of single particles helped the rational design of functional materials with significantly improved performance., Chemiluminescence (CL) functionalized materials have found tremendous value in developing CL assays for clinical assays and point-of-care tests. To date, the design and optimization of these materials have mainly relied on conventional trial-and-error procedures in which the ensemble performance is evaluated using conditional experiments. Here we have built an optical microscope to acquire the CL emission from single magnetic-polymer hybrid microbeads functionalized with luminol analogues, and to access the CL kinetics of each individual particle. It was incidentally found that a minor subpopulation of microbeads exhibited intense and delayed CL emission while the majority showed transient and weak emission. Structural characterization of the very same individual particles uncovered that the amorphous multi-core microstructures were responsible for the enhanced encapsulation efficiency and optimized CL reaction kinetics. Guided by this knowledge stemming from single particle CL imaging, the synthesis procedure was rationally optimized to enrich the portion of microbeads with better CL performance, which was validated by both single particle imaging and the significantly improved analytical performance at the ensemble level. The present work not only demonstrates the CL imaging and CL kinetics curve of single microbeads for the first time, but also sets a clear example showing the capability of single particle studies to investigate the structure–activity relationship in a bottom-up manner and to help the rational design of ensemble materials with improved performance.

Objective To investigate the 2-year follow-up outcomes of patients with cervical intervertebral disc herniation (CIVDH) after percutaneous full-endoscopic anterior transcorporeal cervical discectomy (PEATCD) and channel repair. Methods From Oct. 2016 to Mar. 2017, 24 patients with central/mediolateral CIVDH was treated with PEATCD and channel repair. Of the 24 cases, five interventions were performed at C3-C4 level, 11 were performed at C4-C5 level, and 8 were performed at C5-C6 level. Clinical outcomes were evaluated by Neck Disability Index (NDI), Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA), and Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Radiographic outcomes were measured with X-rays, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging.Results All the 24 procedures were completed successfully with an average operating time of 86.40±8.19min. Neck collar was advised for 3 weeks for all patients. No procedure-related complications were observed except for the swollen neck in 5 patients, which rehabilitated within 2 hours without sequela. The final scores of NDI, JOA, and VAS were improved significantly compared to those of preoperative assessments, 7.74±7.31 VS. 52.11±22.10, 16.04±0.68 VS. 9.08±1.31, and 0.52±0.65 VS. 6.73±1.45, respectively, PConclusion The most outstanding advantages of PEATCD with channel repair were “functional preservation” and “anatomical protection” for cervical spine, and which is a safe, feasible, effective, and minimally invasive surgery that offers an alternative for patients with CIVDH.

Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by certain fungi, which can trigger cancers, deformity and mutation, and are greatly harmful to cells, kidney, reproductive system and immune system. During harvesting, processing, transportation and storage of the plants, Chinese materia medica (CMM) can be easily contaminated by mycotoxins. Not only can it influence the quality and efficacy of CMM, but also do great harm to human body. Therefore, it seems important and necessary to establish sensitive and accurate methods to detect the mycotoxins in CMM. This paper reviewed the advancement of detection methods for mycotoxins in CMM to provide some references for related studies.

Catechin is a major monomer of Chinese Rhubarb . Chinese Rhubarb has been claimed to have a therapeutic value as a bacteriostatic drug. It is also known that total rhubarb anthraquinone mixture and its individual components such as emodin are the effective components. However, the catechins component in Chinese Rhubarb such as catechin has not been characterized. In the present study, the power–time curves of Escherichia coli growth were obtained and the action on them by addition of catechin in different concentrations in vitro were studied by microcalorimetry. The results suggest E. coli growth is inhibited by catechin in a dose-dependent manner starting from the concentration of 0.05 to 1.6 mg mL −1 . The correspondence analysis reveals k 2 and P 2 are the significant parameters to evaluate the anti-microbial effect. Microcalorimetry is a useful tool to evaluate the anti-microbial effect with its sensitive and significant quantitative information.

A new reversed phase ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) method was developed for the rapid quantification of three curcuminoids (curcumin (C), desmethoxycurcumin (DMC) and bisdesmethoxycurcumin (BDMC)) in Curcuma longa Linn. (C. longa) using a Waters BEH Shield RP C18, 2.1 mm × 100 mm, 1.7 μm column. The runtime was 2 min. The influence of column temperature and mobile phase on resolution was investigated. The method was validated according to the ICH guideline for validation of analytical procedures with respect to precision, accuracy, and linearity. The limits of detection were 40.66, 49.38 and 29.28 pg for C, DMC and BDMC, respectively. Limits of quantitation for C, DMC and BDMC, were 134.18, 164.44 and 97.50 pg, respectively. Linear range was from 3.28 to 46.08 μg/ml. The mean ± SD percent recoveries of curcuminoids were 99.47 ± 1.66, 99.50 ± 1.99 and 97.77 ± 2.37 of C, DMC and BDMC, respectively. Comparison of system performance with conventional HPLC was made with respect to analysis time, efficiency and sensitivity. The proposed method was found to be reproducible and convenient for quantitative analysis of three curcuminoids in C. longa. This work provided some references for quality control of C. longa.

The design and simulation of a novel optical accelerometer integrating a Fresnel diffractive micro lens is proposed. The working principle based on the variation of the output light intensity versus the acceleration due to the displacement of a reflecting inertial mass is specifically discussed. The inertial mass is supported by four lateral beams anchored to its four corners. The mechanical simulation through the finite element method shows that four lateral beams allow the flat displacement of the mass. Moreover, a detection circuitry is also presented to eliminate the amplitude drift of the signal. This accelerometer can be mass produced at low cost, so it is a competitive candidate for acceleration measurements.

Hybrid perovskites have attracted enormous attention in the next generation resistive switching (RS) memristor for the artificial synapses, owing to their ambipolar charge transport, long diffusion length, and tunable visible bandgap. However, the variable switch, limited reproducibility, and poor endurance are the obstacles to the practical application of the perovskite memristors. Herein, we reported a multilevel RS nonvolatile memory based on a 3D trigonal HC(NH2)(2)PbI3 (& alpha;-FAPbI(3)) perovskite layer modified by 1-cyanobutyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([CNBmim]Cl) and sandwiched between ITO and Au electrodes (Au/[CNBmim]Cl/& alpha;-FAPbI(3)/SnO2/ITO). In contrast to the bare memristor with failure switching from low resistance state (LRS) to high resistance state (HRS), the memristor device based on the & alpha;-FAPbI(3) modified with [CNBmim]Cl (Target device) shows the retention time over 10(4) s with On/Off ratio (>10(2)) and endurance up to 550 cycles. The stable RS cycle benefits from the accelerated electrons de-trapping from the reduced defects and fast charge separation in the interface of & alpha;-FAPbI(3)/electrode, leading to the rupture of conductive filaments and transition of LRS to HRS. As a two-terminal analog synaptic device, the target device can realize random handwritten digit recognition with an impressive accuracy of 89.3% on the condition of low learning phases (500 training cycles).
