İslam düşüncesinde felsefe eleştirisi Gazzâlî ile beraber büyük bir kırılma yaşamıştır. Bu kırılmanın yansımaları ise günümüze kadar devam etmiş, felsefe eleştirisinin Gazzâlî ile birlikte zirveye ulaştığı genel bir kabule dönüşmüştür. Ancak bu genel kabul kendisinden sonra felsefe eleştirilerine dair başka çalışmaların yapılmadığı veya felsefenin tam anlamıyla İslam düşüncesinde etkisini kaybettiği anlamına gelmemektedir. Bunun en önemli göstergelerinden birisi Gazzâlî sonrası farklı ilmi kimliklere sahip birçok ismin bu alanda eser telif etmeye devam etmesidir. Şihâbeddîn Ömer Sühreverdî (öl.632/1234) de bu isimlerden birisi olup felsefeyi eleştirme gayesi ile Reşfü’n-neṣâʾiḥi’l-îmâniyye ve keşfü’l-feżâʾiḥi’l-Yûnâniyye adındamüstakil bir eser telif etmiştir. Genellikle Sühreverdî el-Maktûl (öl. 587/1191) ile karıştırılabilen müellif, sûfî kimliği ile bilinir ve Sühreverdiyye tarikatının kurucusudur. Sühreverdî eserini on beş bölüme ayırmış, Gazzâlî’nin konu seçimine benzer bir biçimde konuları ele almış, yöntem ve üslup açısından ise kendisinden birçok yönde ayrılmıştır. Bu anlamda Gazzâlî’nin felsefeyi daha çok kendi iç bütünlüğünde ve ciddi bir ön hazırlık sonrasında değerlendirmeye çalıştığı müşahede edilirken Sühreverdî’nin felsefe ve filozof eleştirilerinde daha çok naslara dayandığı söylenebilir. Aynı zamanda Sühreverdî’nin filozofları tekfir etme hususunda Gazzâlî’ye nispetle açık ifadeler kullandığı da görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada Sühreverdî’nin eleştirileri ele alınıp, felsefe ile ilgili ileriye sürmüş olduğu iddialar değerlendirilecektir. Aynı zamanda döneminin Abbâsî Halifesi Nâsır-Lidînillâh tarafından birçok farklı devlete halifenin temsilcisi olarak gönderilmesi, fütüvvet teşkilatlarının kurulmasında Halife tarafından bizzat görevlendirilmesi Sühreverdî’yi ve düşüncelerini anlamayı önemli kılmaktadır. Sühreverdî’nin siyasi ve sosyal çevresinin onu felsefe eleştirisi yazmaya neden sevk ettiği tarihi veriler ile ortaya konulmaya çalışılacak böylece 13.yüzyıl Bağdat’ında felsefenin ve filozofların konumu sorgulanıp topluma tesiri irdelenecektir. Bu sayede İslam düşüncesinde Gazzâlî sonrası felsefe eleştirilerinin serüvenini anlamaya dair bir katkı sağlanması hedeflenmektedir., The criticism of philosophy in Islamic thought experienced a major shift with al-Ghazālī. The reflections of this shift have continued until today, and it has been commonly accepted that criticism of philosophy reached its peak with al-Ghazālī. However, this conventional wisdom neither means that no other studies on criticism of philosophy have been carried out after him nor implies that philosophy has completely lost its influence on Islamic thought. One of the most significant indicators of this is that many scholarly figures continued to write works in this field after al-Ghazālī. Shihāb al-Dīn Umar al-Suhrawardī (d. 632/1234), for instance, is one of these figures; he wrote an independent work entitled Rashf al-nasaʾiḥi'l-imaniyyah wa al-kashf-al-fazaʾiḥi'l-Yūnānīyah to criticize philosophy. The author, who can often be confused with Suhrawardī al-Maqtul (d. 587/1191), is famous for his Sufi identity and is the founder of the Suhrawardī sect. Al-Suhrawardī divided his work into fifteen sections and addressed the issues in a similar way to al-Ghazālī in terms of subject selection but differed from him in many ways in terms of method and style. In this sense, it is observed that al-Ghazālī tried to evaluate philosophy based on its inner integrity and after a serious preliminary preparation, whereas al-Suhrawardī mostly relied on Text (naṣṣ) in his criticism of philosophy and philosophers. At the same time, it is seen that al-Suhrawardī used clearer expressions in comparison to al-Ghazālī to declare philosophers’ unbelievers. This study addresses al-Suhrawardī’s criticisms and assesses his claims about philosophy. It is particularly important to understand al-Suhrawardī and his thoughts, not only because he was sent as the representative of the Caliphate to many different states by the Abbasid Caliph of his time, al-Nāṣir Li-Dīn Allāh, but also because he was personally assigned by the Caliph in the establishment of futuwwa organizations. Under the light of historical data, this study discusses why al-Suhrawardī’s political and social environment led him to write criticism of philosophy. In this way, it questions the position of philosophy and philosophers in Baghdad in the 13th century and examines their impact on society. Globally considered, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of the adventure of post-Ghazālī criticism of philosophy in Islamic thought.

Ebû Mansûr el-Mâtürîdî’den sonra Mâtürîdî kelâm okulunu sistemleştiren ve ekolün en bâriz ikinci ismi olan Ebü’l-Mu‘în en-Nesefî, genel olarak Mâtürîdî’nin görüşlerini benimsemiş ve onun izinden gitmiştir. Nesefî genel anlamda Mâtürîdî çizgiyi sürdürse de araştırmalarımızda onun bazen Mâtürîdî’den farklı yorumlarda bulunduğunu gözlemledik. Bu tespitten hareketle Mâtürîdî’nin ve Nesefî’nin âhiret ahvaliyle ilgili yorum farklarını çalışma konusu olarak seçtik. Mâtürîdî ve Nesefî gibi ekolde öne çıkmış iki ismin yorum farklarını ortaya koymanın, kayda değer bir husus olduğu kanaatindeyiz. Çalışmamızda örnek kavramlar üzerinden bu iki alimin bakış açılarındaki farkları tespit ederek Mâtürîdi’nin bakış açısını gün yüzüne çıkarmayı amaçladık. Araştırmamızda, literal tarama ve karşılaştırma yöntemini kullanırken Mâtürîdî’nin Te’vîlâtü’l-Kur’ân tefsiri ile Nesefî’nin Tebsıratü’l-edille ve Bahru’l-kelâm eserlerini temel kaynak olarak belirledik. Araştırma konusu olarak belirlediğimiz kavramları temel kaynaklardan araştırıp karşılaştırarak farklı bakış açılarını yakalamaya çalıştık. Araştırmamızın sonunda ise Nesefî’nin âhiretle ilgili bazı konuları Mâtürîdî’den farklı yorumladığını tespit ettik. Şöyle ki Mâtürîdî’nin temsilî anlatım olarak kabul ettiği sûr, mîzan ve kevser gibi bazı kavramları Nesefî, hakiki manada anlamış ve bu konuda ondan farklı düşünmüştür. Bu yorum farkının dikkate alınarak Mâtürîdî’nin farklı bakış açısının kendisinden sonraki alimlere yansımamasının sebepleri üzerinde durulması gerektiği kanaatindeyiz. * Bu makale, 2. Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu’nda sözlü olarak sunulan ancak tam metni yayımlanmayan “Mâtürîdî ve Nesefî’nin Âhiret Ahvaline Yaklaşımlarının Mukayesesi” adlı tebliğin içeriği geliştirilerek ve kısmen değiştirilerek üretilmiş hâlidir., Abū l-Muʿīn al-Nasafī, who systematized the Māturīdī kalam school after Abū Manṣūr al-Māturīdī and was the second most apparent name of the school, generally adopted al-Māturīdī’s views and followed in the footsteps of him. Although al-Nasafī generally kept with the line of al-Māturīdī, we observed in our research that he sometimes made interpretations different from al-Māturīdī. Based on this determination, we chose the interpretation differences of al-Māturīdī and al-Nasafī about the afterlife circumstances as the subject of study. We believe that it is a significant issue to reveal the interpretation differences between two prominent names in the school, such as al-Māturīdī and al-Nasafī. In our study, we aimed to reveal the point of view of Māturīdī by determining the differences in the perspectives of these two scholars through sample concepts. In our research, while exercising the literal review and comparison method and comparison, we determined al-Māturīdī’s Ta'wīlāt al-Qur'ān and al-Nasafī’s Tabṣira and Baḥr al-Kalām works as the main references. We tried to capture the different perspectives by researching and comparing the concepts that we determined as the subject of research from the main references. At the end of our study, we determined that Nasafī interpreted some issues related to the afterlife differently from al-Māturīdī. Namely, al-Nasafī understood some concepts such as sūr, mīzān, and kawthar, which al-Māturīdī accepted as representative expression, in the real meaning and thought differently from him on this issue. Considering this interpretation difference, we are of the opinion that the reasons why al-Māturīdī’s different point of view did not reflect on the scholars after him should be emphasized. ** This article is the revised and developed version of the unpublished conference presentation entitled “Different Approaches of al-Māturīdī and al-Nasafī on the Hereafter,” orally delivered at the 2nd Turkish Symposium of Social Sciences.

Ne tür bilişsel eylemlerin “bilim” sayılacağı, doğru bilimsel yöntemin ne olduğu ve bilimsel bir geleneğin hangi temel ilkeler üzerinde oluştuğu gibi sorular, bilim felsefesi bağlamında tartışılan temel problemler arsında yer alır. Amerikalı filozof Larry Laudan bilimsel yapıların, deneysel ve kavramsal problemleri çözen araştırma gelenekleri oldukları görüşüyle bu tartışmalara katkıda bulunmuştur. Bu sunum, kelâm ilminin, Laudan’ın görüşü ekseninde bir araştırma geleneği olma niteliği taşıyıp taşımadığını konu edinmektedir. Bu açıdan çalışma, kelâmın bilimsel bir disiplin olup olmadığının tespiti açısından önem arz etmektedir. Çalışma ayrıca kelâmın bilimsel çerçevesinin güncellenmesi çalışmalarına da katkı sunmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, sosyal bilimler içerisinde yer alan kelâmın, kendine özgü yöntemleri ve problem çözme dinamikleriyle bilimsel bir disiplin olduğunu çağdaş filozof Laudan’ın araştırma gelenekleri teorisi üzerinden göstermektir. Bu bağlamda kelâmın, Laudan’ın teorisi ile tam olarak örtüşmeyen yönlerini belirlemek ve bu hususlarda muhtemel çözümler teklif etmek de çalışmanın amaçları arasında yer almaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle Laudan’ın söz konusu teorisi İlerleme ve Sorunları: Bir Bilimsel Gelişme Kuramına Doğru adlı eseri özelinde serimlenecek akabinde kelâm disiplinin, Laudan’ın sunduğu çerçeve ile örtüştüğü ya da örtüşmediği, kelâmın temel metinlerine müracaat edilerek incelenecektir. Çalışmanın sonucu olarak şunlar söylenebilir: Kelâm ilminin, sosyal-deneysel ve kavramsal açıdan problem çözücü bir disiplin olması, problem çözümünde kendine özgü yöntemlere sahip olması ve kavramsal problemleri belirleyen farklı düşünce ve yöntem geleneklerini kapsaması, Laudan’ın “araştırma gelenekleri” teorisi ile büyük oranda örtüştüğünü ortaya koymaktadır. Bununla beraber nihai kertede kelâmın inanç temelli bir disiplin olması onun bilimsel yapıya ve esnekliğe sahip olup olmadığı ile ilgili bir kuşku barındırmaktadır. Ancak Laudan’ın, ön kabul ve paradigmatik inançların hemen bütün bilimsel geleneklerde mevcut olduğu ana fikri etrafındaki açıklamaları bu kuşkunun izale edilmesinde önemli ip uçları sunmaktadır. Çalışmada kelâmın inanç temelli bir disiplin olmasının, onun objektifliğine ve bilimselliğine bir mania teşkil etmediği de ele alınmıştır., Questions such as what kind of cognitive actions are considered science, what is the correct scientific method, and on what basic principles a scientific tradition is formed, are among the main problems discussed in the context of the philosophy of science. The American philosopher Larry Laudan contributed to these discussions with the view that scientific structures are research traditions that solve experimental and conceptual problems. This paper deals with whether the science of kalām is a research tradition in accordance with Laudan’s view. In this respect, the study is important in terms of determining whether the kalām is a scientific discipline or not. The study also contributes to the updating of the scientific framework of kalām. The aim of the study is to show that kalām, which is included in the social sciences, is a scientific discipline with its unique methods and problem-solving principles through the theory of research traditions of a contemporary philosopher Laudan. In this context, it is among the aims of the study to identify the issues that kalām do not fully overlap with Laudan’s theory and to propose possible solutions on these issues. In the study, first of all, Laudan’s theory will be exposited through his work titled Progress and Its Problems: Towards a Theory of Scientific Growth, and then, whether the discipline of kalām coincides with the framework presented by Laudan or not, will be examined by referring to the basic texts of kalām. As a result of the study, the following can be said: The science of kalām has a social-experimentally and conceptually problem-solving structure and unique methods in solving problems, and it contains different thought and method traditions that determine conceptual problems. These features of kalām reveal that it largely overlaps with Laudan’s theory of "research traditions". However, the fact that kalām is ultimately a faith-based discipline raises doubts about whether it has a scientific structure. However, Laudan’s explanations in the context of the idea that axiomatic and paradigmatic beliefs are present in almost all scientific traditions offer important clues in removing this doubt. In the study, it is also discussed that the belief-based structure of kalām will not prevent its objectivity and scientificity.

Ebû Hanîfe (öl. 150/767), Müslüman düşünce tarihinin en önemli bânilerindendir. Çünkü o, tüm renk ve tonlarıyla akılcı düşünce biçiminin şemsiye ismi olan “Ehl-i re’y” geleneğinin tartışmasız reisi olarak kabul görmüştür. Bu kabulün kökenlerini, onun yaşadığı zaman diliminde aramak gerekir. Bu zaman dilimi de Müslüman düşüncenin metodolojilerinin teşekkül etmeye başladığı tâbiîn asrıdır. Kaldı ki Ebû Hanîfe, tâbiîn neslinin önde gelen âlimlerindendir. Onu bu bağlamda ön plana çıkaran husus ise ortaya koyduğu hedeftir. Bu hedefin, parçacı bir yaklaşımdan öte Müslüman toplumun kimliğinin inşası bakımından sistematik bir söylem oluşturma çabası olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Bu çaba, dönemin şartları açısından gerçekten anlamlıdır. Zira dünya medeniyet tarihine yeni bir aktör olarak katılan ve kadim medeniyetlerin neşvünemâ ettiği devasa bir coğrafyaya hâkim olan Müslümanların, kalıcı olmalarını sağlayacak tutarlı bir dünya görüşü kurma ihtiyacı vardı. Bunun farkında olan ve bakış açısını bu minvalde inşa eden Ebû Hanîfe’nin ilmî kişiliği, yüzyılların geçmesine rağmen lehte ve aleyhte her zaman dikkat çeken ve gündemde olan yapısını korumuştur. Bu itibarla onun bakışı açısı, günümüzün şartları da dikkate alınırsa ufuk açıcı bir mahiyet taşımaktadır. Bu yazıda Ebû Hanîfe’nin ön plana çıkmasına neden olan hususlar irdelenerek onun ortaya koyduğu sistematikten günümüzde nasıl yararlanabileceği noktasında birtakım değerlendirmeler yapılacaktır., Abū Ḥanīfah (d. 150/767) is one of the foremost founders of the history of Islamic thought. For the reason that he was accepted as the undisputed leader of the tradition of “Ahl al ra’y” which is an umbrella name for rational thought with all different varieties. The roots of this recognition have to be traced back to the era which he lived. That is to say that this period is the era of the tābi'ūn, which the methodologies of Islamic thought began to form. Moreover, Abū Ḥanīfah is the one of the leading scholars of the generation of the tābi'ūn. What gives prominence to him is his target that he wanted to meet. It could be said that this target is an effort to create a systematic discourse in terms of constructing the identity of the Muslim community rather than a cherry-picking approach. With respect to the conditions of that time, this effort is remarkable. For the reason that Muslims, who participated in the history of the world civilization as a new actor and ruled over a huge number of territories where most ancient civilizations flourished, needed to build a coherent worldview in order to make them permanent. Abū Ḥanīfah was aware of this reality and established his viewpoint to meet this need. As a result, his methodology has been paid more attention both for and against throughout centuries. Considering contemporary conditions, his methodology has a distinguishing and eye-opening feature. In this paper, the most prominent points of his systematic discourse and how to be benefit from it today will be evaluated.

İslam düşüncesinde ve diğer semavî dinlerde nübüvvet, büyük bir önem arz etmektedir. Müslümanlar, Allah’ın mesajına değer verdiklerinden, bu mesajları insanlara tebliğ eden peygamberlere de kutsiyet atfetmişlerdir. Öte yandan tarih boyunca peygamberlik düşüncesine farklı cihetlerden itiraz edenler olmuştur. Nübüvvete yönelik bu itirazların temeli Aristo’ya dayandırılmaktadır. Ayrıca bu fikrin sistematik bir karakterle vücut bulduğu akımlar da mevcuttur. Berâhime ve Sümeniyye bunlardan en çok öne çıkanlardır. Bu iki akımın menşei hakkında ihtilaf bulunsa da çoğunluğa göre her ikisi de Hint kökenlidir. Berâhime ve Sümeniyye gibi sistemlerin yanı sıra İbnü’r-Râvendî (öl. 301/913), onun üstadı Ebû Îsâ el-Verrâk (öl. 247/861), ve “Arapların Galen”i olarak anılan Ebû Bekir er-Râzî (öl. 313/925) gibi kişiler de peygamberliği reddeden fikirleri ile tarihin bazı dönemlerinde öne çıkmayı başarmıştır. Bu şahsiyetler sadece peygamberliğe değil, Hz. Muhammed’in risâletine, “Hatmü’n-Nübüvve”ye ve Kur’ân’a yönelik eleştirilerde bulunmuştur. Mu‘tezile’den Câhız (öl. 255/869) ve Kādî Abdülcebbâr (öl. 415/1025) gibi mütekellimler, kendi dönemlerinde söz konusu itirazlara cevaplar vermek suretiyle nübüvveti savunmaya çalışmıştır. Günümüzde Deizm ve Pozitivizm gibi hareketler, söz konusu inkârcı akımların fikirlerine paralel düşünceler ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmada amaç Mu‘tezile’den Kādî Abdülcebbâr’ın, nübüvvete yöneltilen eleştirilere verdiği cevapların günümüz açısından arz ettiği önemi ortaya koymaktır. Geçmişte nübüvvete yöneltilen itirazlar ile çağımızdaki deizm ve pozitivizm gibi akımların, peygamberliğe dair fikirlerinin benzer olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda Kādî Abdülcebbâr’ın yaptığı nübüvvet müdafaasının önemli olduğu, özellikle deizm akımının ortaya çıkardığı şüpheleri azaltan ve çağımıza ışık tutacak bir nitelikte olduğu söylenebilir. Benzer konularda daha önce çeşitli çalışmalar kaleme alınmıştır. Metin Özdemir’in “Mu‘tezile’nin Nübüvvet Savunması” adlı eseri ve Orhan Aktepe’nin Peygamberliğin Hz. Muhammed ile Sona Ermesi” adlı kitabı bunlara örnek verilebilir. Ancak nübüvveti bir bütün olarak ele alan bir çalışmaya rastlanmamıştır. Bu çalışmada nübüvvet, “Hatmü’n-Nübüvve”, Hz. Muhammed’in peygamberliği ve Kur’ân’ın i’câzı gibi konular bir arada ele alınmıştır. İslam düşüncesinde Ehl-i Sünnet ve Mu‘tezile literatüründe yer alan, mülhitlere yönelik nübüvvet savunusunun, deist akımların itirazlarına verilecek cevap için oldukça yeterli ve değerli altyapı oluşturduğu kanaatindeyiz. Konuya tarihî bir perspektifle bakıldığında, deizm düşüncesinin, tarihin önceki dönemlerinde de zuhur ettiği ancak zamanın âlimleri kanalıyla bertaraf edildiği müşahede edilmektedir. Dolayısıyla deistik düşüncenin yeni bir hareket olmayıp, tarihin farklı dönemlerinde ve değişik formatlarda nübüvvet olgusunun karşısında konumlandığı söylenebilir., دفاع المعتزلة عن النبوة, Prophethood is of great importance in Islamic thought and other monotheistic religions. Since the Muslims value the message of God, they also attribute a relgous value to the prophets who conveyed these messages to people. Nevertheless, throughout history, there have been those who objected to the idea of prophethood from different points of view. The basis of these objections to prophethood is based on Aristotle. There are also currents where this idea embodies a systematic character. The most prominent of these are Barāhima and Sumeniyya, which are disputed about their origins and accepted to be of Indian origin according to the majority. In addition to systems such as Barāhima and Sumeniyya, Ibn al-Rawandī (d. 301/913), his master Abū Isa al-Varraq (d. 247/861), and Abū Bakr al-Razī (d. 313/913) have also managed to come to the fore in some periods of history with their ideas that reject prophethood. These personalities are not only prophethood but also criticized the prophethood of Muhammad, “Khatm Al-Nubuwwa/Last prophet” and the Qur’ān. Today, it is observed that movements such as Deism and Positivism continue the ideas of these denialist movements. Mutakallims such as Jāhiz (d. 255/869) and al-Qādī Abd al-Jabbār (d. 415/1025) from the Mu'tazila tried to defend the prophethood by responding to the objections in question in their own time. Today, movements such as deism and positivism reveal thoughts parallel to the ideas of these denialist movements. The aim of this study is to reveal the importance of the responds given by al-Qādī Abd al-Jabbār from the Mu‘tazila to the criticisms directed at the prophethood in terms of today. It has been determined that the objections to prophethood in the past and the deism and positivism have similiar ideas about prophethood. In this context, it can be said that the defense of prophethood made by al-Qādī Abd al-Jabbār is important, especially that it reduces the doubts of the deism movement and sheds light on our age. Various studies have been written on similar subjects before. Metin Özdemir's work “Mu‘tazila's Defense of Prophethood” and Orhan Aktepe’s article “The End of Prophecy with the Prophet Muhammad” can be given as an example. However, no study has been found that deals with prophecy as a whole. In this respect, Subjects such as the prophethood, “Khatm al-Nubuwwa”, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the i‘jaz (inimitability) of the Qur’ān were discussed together. We believe that the defense of prophethood against the apostates in the Ahl al-Sunnah and Mu‘tazila literature constitutes a very sufficient and valuable infrastructure for the response to the objections of deist movements. Looking at the subject from a historical perspective, it is observed that the idea of deism also appeared in previous periods of history, but was eliminated by the scholars. Therefore, it can be said that deistic thought is not a new movement, and has always been positioned against prophethood in different forms in some periods of history.

İsmâilîlerin Âdem’in yeryüzüne inişi, diğer bir deyişle insanın yeryüzünde bulunma nedeni konusunda diğer Müslümanlardan farklı olarak ne söyledikleri bu makalenin temel sorusunu oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, öncelikle konuyla ilişkili görülen varlık hiyerarşisi ve bu bağlamda açığa çıkan hadd/hudûd ve tevhit kavramları üzerinde durulmaktadır. Zira İsmâilîlik’te âlemlerin doğuşu ve her türlü varoluş belli bir hiyerarşiye göre zuhur etmektedir. Bu hiyerarşi, aynı zamanda uyulması gereken ilahî sınırları belirlemenin ölçütü olarak da kabul edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda kritik bir terim olan hadd yahut çoğul formuyla hudûd”, basitten karmaşığa doğru sıralanan tüm varlıkların kendilerine ait ilahi makamdaki derecelerini ifade etmektedir. Bu öğretiye paralel olarak Âdem’in ezelde işlediği hata, kendisinden daha üstün konumda olanlara gereken bağlılığı göstermemesi nedeniyle bir tür hadsizlik olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda makalede konuyla bağlantılı olarak ele aldığımız bir diğer önemli kavram ise “tevhit”tir. Çünkü İlk Akl’ın, tüm İbdâ‘ Âlemini Mübdi‘in tevhidine davet ettiği unutulmamalıdır. Bu davete icabetin en önemli kuralı ise, her iki âlemde bulunan varlıkların tevhit ilkesini idrakte ve dolayısıyla da kemale ermede kendisinden üstün olanı tanıması ve ona itaat etmesidir. Makalede Âdem’in hubûtu konusunda İsmâilî klasik kaynaklarda, biri temsilî, diğeri ise felsefî sayılabilecek iki izah şeklinin ön plana çıktığı vurgulanmaktadır. Temsili anlatımlarda Âdem’in yeryüzünde bulunma nedeni, ezeli âlemde işlediği hata nedeniyle kaybettiği makamı geri kazanmak olarak açıklanmaktadır. Bu hata, cismanî değil tüm insanlığı temsil eden ruhanî Âdem tarafından işlenmiştir ve esasında nefsteki (psykhe) eksikliği sembolize etmektedir. Kur’an’da geçen Âdem’in cennetten çıkışıyla ilgili kıssa da bu anlatımla uyumlu bir şekilde te’vil edilmektedir. Daha ziyade Neoplatonizm felsefesi ile uyumlu olan açıklamalarda ise nefsin (psyche) gelişimi merkeze alınmaktadır. Nefs, Akıl’dan sonra varlık alanına çıktığı için eksiktir. Bu nedenle cismani âlemin yaratılma nedeni, nefsi ilim ve hikmet ile daha iyi kılmak ve nihai gelişimini sağlamaktır. Bu durumda nefs kendisini, yeryüzündeki en yüce temsilcisi olan Âdem aracılığıyla gerçekleştirmiş olmaktadır. İşte kozmosun hareketini başlatma nedeni temelde nefsteki bu eksikliktir. Sonuç olarak makalede; her iki izah şeklinde de nefsin eksikliğine yapılan vurgunun ön planda olduğu belirtilmektedir. Yani nefste, yahut onun yeryüzündeki sureti olan Âdem’de, Tanrıdan uzaklığın doğurduğu bir eksiklik nedeniyle bir makam kaybı ve zamana düşüş söz konusudur. Bu nedenle nefsin kemale ermesi yahut Âdem’in asli yerini geri kazanması için, cismani âlemin var olması ve yedi aşamalı bir sürecin tecrübe edilmesi gerekmektedir.

Hanefî-Mâtürîdî kelâm geleneğinde felsefî kelâm yöntemini benimseyen ilk âlim olan Şemseddin es-Semerkandî, kelâm, mantık, matematik, astronomi, tefsir, âdâb ve münâzara gibi çeşitli alanlarda eserler vererek kendisini aklî ve naklî ilimlerde kanıtlamış önemli bir Türk-İslâm düşünürüdür. Sisteminin merkezine mantık ilmini yerleştiren Semerkandî, ileri sürülen her görüş ve delili mantıksal analiz etmiş ve hakikate ulaşmayı amaçlamıştır. Onun kesin ve gerçek bilgiye ulaşmayı amaçladığı konuların başında ilahî sıfatlar, evrenin zamansallığı ve Tanrı-evren ilişkisi gelmektedir. Bu meyanda Semerkandî, ilahî ve evrensel sıfatların ontolojik karakterini analiz etmiştir. İşe mâhiyet çeşitlerini analiz etmekle başlayan yazar için itibârî vücûdî mâhiyet kavramı kilit rol oynamaktadır. Vücûdî kavramını, “öz anlamında ve hakikatinde herhangi bir olumsuzluk bulunmayan” şeklinde tanımlayarak vücûdî olmak için bir blok olarak var olmayı ve varlığında hiçbir olumsuzluk bulunmamayı şart koşan Semerkandî, bu kavrama özgün bir açılım getirmektedir. Taayyünü, “mevcûdu zihnî ve haricî varlıkların tamamından ayrıştıran bir sıfat” olarak tanımlayan Semerkandî, bu kavramın vücûdî bir mâhiyete sahip olduğunu iddia etmektedir. Vâcip varlık hakkındaki kaygıları neticesinde vâcip varlık ile taayyünü özdeş kabul eden İslâm filozoflarını yadsımayan Semerkandî, taayyünü “vücûdî” olarak değerlendirmesi durumunda Tanrı hakkında ortaya çıkabilecek çokluk ve nedenlilik şaibelerini de “itibârî” kavramıyla aşmaktadır. Nitekim Semerkandî, varlığı hakikî ve itibarî olmak üzere iki kısma ayırıp hakikî varlığı, “gerçek anlamda mevcûd olup hiçbir aklî varsayıma dayanmayan”; itibarî varlığı ise “aklî varsayıma dayanan” şeklinde tanımlamaktadır. Bu durumda ise gerçek bir çokluk ya da nedenlilikten söz etmek mümkün değildir. Semerkandî, vücûb kavramının itibarî vücûdî mâhiyet kapsamına girdiğini iddia etmektedir. Zira vücûb, “zâtın zorunlu olarak varlığı gerektirmesi” anlamına gelmektedir. Varlığı gerektiren bir şeyin varlığın hükmünü alması gerektiğinden dolayı vücûbun da vücûdî olması gerektiği çıkarılmaktadır. O, vücûb kavramını nesnel varlıktan bağışık, bilişsel bir oluşum anlamında itibarî mâhiyet ile nitelendirerek Tanrı hakkında ortaya çıkabilecek bir çokluk şaibesinin de önüne geçmektedir. İmkânın vücûdî bir mâhiyet olarak değerlendirilmesinin Tanrı’nın mûcib bizzât, evrenin ise kadîm olmasını gerektirebileceği endişesiyle kelâmcılar, imkânı ademî bir mâhiyet olarak kabul etmişlerdir. Semerkandî, imkânın hakikî ademî ya da itibarî vücûdî mâhiyet kapsamında kabul edilebileceğini ifade etmektedir. Nitekim imkânın bu minvalde değerlendirilmesi Tanrı’nın mûcib bizzât, evrenin ise kadîm olması ihtimallerini de ortadan kaldırmaktadır. Tanrı’ya isnat edilip de O’nun zâtında çokluk oluşturabilecek ya da evrene isnat edilip de evrenin kadîm olmasına neden olabilecek sıfatlar, itibarî vücûdî mâhiyet kapsamında değerlendirilerek Tanrı’nın birliği ve O’nun yegâne kadîm varlık olduğu fikri temellendirilmiştir.

Kudret konusu, İslâm kelâmında kader tartışmalarının temelini oluşturan insan fiilleri bağlamında ele alınmış ve tarihsel süreçte birçok yönüyle tartışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda kudretin mahalli de üzerinde durulan önemli konuların başında yer alır. Kudretin mahallinin olup olmadığı, varsa, neresi olduğu ile ilgili tartışmalarda Mu‘tezile, Eş‘arîlik ve Mâtürîdîlik ekolleri farklı görüşler ortaya koymuşlardır.Mu‘tezile âlimlerinin, kudretin mahalli olduğu ve bu mahallin beden olduğu hususunda ittifak ettikleri görülür. Ancak kudretin mahallinin bedendeki yeri ve cinsi konusunda farklı yaklaşımlar sergilerler. Bazı âlimler, organlarda bulunan kudretin aynı cins olduğunu savunurken bazıları da bu kudretin farklı cins olduğunu düşünmüşlerdir. Eş‘arîlik ve Mâtürîdîlik ekolleri ise kudretin mahallinin olmadığını kabul etmiş ve kudretin fiile etki edeceği esnada Allah tarafından yaratıldığını vurgular. Kelâm ekollerinin bu görüşleri günümüz anatomi biliminden elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde ele alındığında; Mu‘tezile’nin kudretin mahallinin beden olduğu ve tek bir yerden organları etkileyerek fiili meydana getirdiği görüşünün günümüz bilimiyle paralellik arz ettiği görülür. Çünkü kelâm âlimlerinin kudret olarak tanımladıkları mâna, günümüz anatomi bilimi çerçevesinde ele alındığında, kasları harekete geçiren elektriksel aktivite (uyartı) olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bilimsel olarak hareketin meydana gelmesi için ilk önce beyinde oluşan ve motor sinirler aracılığıyla kaslara iletilen elektriksel aktivitenin olması gerekir. Şayet beyindeki elektriksel aktivite olmazsa insanın hareket sistemini oluşturan, kaslar ve enerji aktif olmayacak böylece hareket gerçekleşmeyecektir.Mu’tezile âlimlerinden bazılarının kudretin organlarda olduğuna yönelik düşüncelerinin de bilimsel bir karşılık bulmadığı söylenebilir. Kudretin aynı cins mi yoksa farklı cins mi olduğu konusunda yapılan tartışmalarda ise aynı cins olduğunu savunan âlimlerin görüşlerinin isabetli olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çünkü kudret olarak kabul ettiğimiz elektriksel aktivite, beyindeki oluşum sürecinden sonra organlara yayılır. Dolayısıyla organları harekete geçiren kudretin aynı cins olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ancak Mu’tezilî âlimlerin kudretin mahallinde sürekli bulunduğuna dair ortaya koymuş oldukları görüşün günümüz bilimsel verileriyle uyumluluk arz etmediği görülmüştür.Eş‘arîlik ve Mâtürîdîlik ekollerinin kudretin sürekli mahalli olmadığına dair ortaya koymuş oldukları görüşlerinin günümüzde beyin aktiviteleri üzerinde yapılan deneylerle uyumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çünkü insan edimi oluşacağı esnada bu edimi meydana getiren elektriksel aktivitenin fiilden önce ve insanın iradesi dışında beyinde ortaya çıktığı, yapılan bazı deneysel çalışmalarla belirlenmiştir. Eş‘arî ve Mâtürîdî tartışma âlimlerinin kudretin sürekli olarak bedende bulunmadığı ve her defasında Allah tarafından yaratıldığı görüşü elektriksel aktivite olarak tanımladığımız kudretin yaratılışı ile uyumluluk arz ettiği söylenebilir., The issue of power has been addressed as part of human actions, which form the basis of the discussions of destiny in Islamic theology. Various schools of kalām have extensively discussed the issue of power throughout history. The locus of power is also one of the critical concerns that have been emphasized within these discussions. The schools of the Mu'tazila, al-Ashʿarī and al-Māturīdī have put forward different perspectives on whether the locus of power exists or not and where it exists if it does so.Mutazilites are known to be in agreement with the view that te human body is the substrate of power. On the other hand, However, they hold different views, not only on the exact locus of power in the body but also on its type. While some argue that the locus of power in the body is the organs, others claim that it is not the organs. The schools of al-Ashʿarī and al-Māturīdī accept that there is no locus for power and emphasize that power is created by Allah the moment it would initiate action. When these views of the kalām schools are considered within the framework of the data from the modern science of anatomy, it is seen that what modern science has to say on this issue concurs well with the Mu'tazilite view that the locus of power is the body and that it creates the action by managing the organs from a single center. This is because, when considered from the lens of anatomy, what is meant by the schools of kalām with “power” is electrical activity (stimulus) that activates the muscles. Therefore, scientifically considered, for any movement to occur, an electrical activity must first begin in the brain and be transmitted to the muscles via motor nerves. If there were no electrical activity in the brain, the muscles and energy that make up the human movement system would not be active, so movement would hardly take locus.Therefore, the claim made some of the Mu'tazili scholars that the power is in the organs is scientifically not valid. As for the debates on whether the power in different organs is the same or different in terms of its type, the views of the scholars who argue that they are the same genus are apparently correct. This is because the electrical activity, which we accept as power, spreads to the organs after it is formed in the brain. This implies that the power which activates the organs is of the same type. However, it can be said that Mu'tazila’s idea of the constant presence of power in its locus conflicts with modern scientific data.The views of al-Ash'arite and al-Maturidite schools that power is free from being in a constant location are compatible with the findings of recent experiments on brain activities. That is, some experimental studies have indicated that the electrical activity that creates an act occurs in the brain before the act itself and outside the will of the human. In brief, the view of Ash'arite and Maturidite scholars that power is not constantly present in the body and that it is created by Allah each time it is needed is compatible with the creation of power, which we define as electrical activity.

İnsanoğlunun karşılaştığı doğal felâketler ve başka türden kötü olaylar Tûsî’yi kötülük problemine eğilme ve Tanrı’nın adâletine dair mantıklı ve tutarlı bir açıklama yapma gayreti içine itmiştir. Filozofun bu eksendeki temellendirmeleri aslında hayatın kaynağına, insanın varlık âlemindeki yerine ve yaşamın hangi hayat felsefesine ve ilkelere göre belirleneceğine ilişkin merakın sorunsallaştırılması ve hayatın anlamlandırılması açısından büyük önemi hâizdir. Çalışmanın amacı Tûsî’nin kötülük (şer) problemine ilişkin düşünce ve yaklaşımlarını derli-toplu bir şekilde ortaya koymak, bu konuda seleflerinden ne ölçüde etkilendiğini, kendine özgü katkısının olup olmadığını belirlemekle birlikte, filozofun doğal felâketler ve başka türden kötü olayları Tanrı’nın adâleti ile nasıl bağdaştırdığını ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın temel tezi Tûsî’nin kötülük problemine ilişkin görüş ve yaklaşımlarında genelde Mu‘tezile-Şîa ve İslâm Meşşâî geleneği çizgisini devam ettirdiği yönündedir. Tanrı’ya kötü fiillerin isnâd edilip-edilemeyeceği konusunda Tûsî’nin genelde Mu‘tezile olmakla, kısmen Eş‘arî çizgisini benimseyerek sentezçi bir tutum sergilediği de söylenebilir., Natural catastrophes and other bad events faced by humankind have drived Tūsī to investigate the problem of evil and to come up with a logical and consistent explanation to the problem of God's justice. The philosopher's grounding on this axis is actually extremely important in terms of problematising the curiosity about the source of life, the place of man in the realm of existence, and according to which philosophy and principles of life will be determined, and to make sense of life. The purpose of the study is to reveal Tūsī's thoughts and approaches on the problem of evil in a compact way and to determine to what extent he was influenced by his predecessors in this regard, and whether he has a unique contribution, and to justify how the philosopher reconciles natural calamities and other bad events with the justice of God. The main thesis of the study is that Tūsī generally continues the tradition of Mu‘tazila-Shia and Islamic Peripatetic philosophers’ views and approaches regarding the problem of evil. It can be said that although Tūsī generally adopts the Mu’tazilian approach regarding whether or not bad deeds can be attributed to God, he partially admits the Ash’arī line and a synthesist attitude.

Erken dönemlere dayanan Zeydî-Muʿtezilî etkileşimi, Büveyhî veziri Sâhib b. Abbâd’ın Kādî Abdülcebbâr’ı Rey’e davet etmesi ve burada Hazar Zeydîleri’nden birçok âlimin Kādî’den ders alması üzerine artmıştır. Kādî Abdülcebbâr’ın öğrencileri arasında zikredilen ve Zeydî-Muʿtezilî düşünürlerden kabul edilen İbn Şervîn de bu isimlerden bir tanesidir. Kelâm ve fıkıh alanında telifâtı bulunan İbn Şervîn’in eserleri, Hazar sınırları içerisinde kalmamış, Yemen Zeydîleri’ne kadar ulaşmıştır. Bu eserlerden birisi de Ḥaḳāʾiḳu’l-eşyâʾ’dır. Bu risâle, Eşʿarî kelâm geleneğinin aksine Muʿtezile literatüründe kelâmî kavramların tanımları ile ilgili eserlerin fazla olmaması ve -bilindiği kadarıyla- günümüze ulaşmaması dikkate alındığında, özellikle Zeydî-Muʿtezilî kelâmındaki temel terimlerin ve Behşemiyye’nin Zeydî düşünceye etkilerinin daha iyi anlaşılması noktasında bir kılavuz görevi ifa etmektedir. Günümüze kadar ulaştığı bilinen ve Yemen’de bulunan tek yazma nüsha ile daha önceden yapılan bir neşirden hareketle tahkik ve tercümesi yapılan bu eser, bir yandan Zeydî-Muʿtezilî düşüncenin kelâm, fıkıh, cedel, münazara, mezhepler tarihi disiplinlerine dair bakış açısını anlama hususunda önemi hâiz iken, diğer yandan da hâlâ girift bir mesele olarak bilinen aḥvâl teorisine dair kullanılan terimlerin anlaşılması hususunda yardımcı bir kaynaktır. İbn Şervîn, Ḥaḳāʾiḳu’l-eşyâʾ’sında; cevher, araz, çizgi, yüzey, mekân gibi kozmolojiye; mevcûd, maʿdûm, muhdes gibi ontolojiye; ilim, itikad, cehl, zan, şek, zorunlu ve iktisabî bilgi gibi epistemolojiye; delil, medlûl, münazara ve cedel gibi metodolojiye; sünnet, farz, mendub, illet, emir-nehiy, umum-husus gibi fıkıh ilmine; adliyye, mücbir ve kaderî gibi mezhepler tarihine ilişkin kavramlar ile Muʿtezilî öğretilerden tevhid gibi ilâhiyyâta; vaʿd-vaʿîd, hasen ve kabih fiiller, zorunlu ve ihtiyarî fiiller, lütuf, ivaz, tövbe, büyük ve küçük günah gibi adâlete; zât sıfatı, muktezî, muktezâ, musahhih, illet gibi ahvâl teorisine ilişkin toplamda 150 küsur terimi izah etmektedir. “Tanım”a karşılık gelen ḥad ve bununla bir arada kullandığı ḥaḳīḳat kelimelerini, konu edindiği şeyi efrâdını câmiʿ aġyârını mâniʿ biçimde izah eden İbn Şervîn; ilim, kudret, hayy, kelâm, mütekellim, bâkī vb. kavramları bu ilke doğrultusunda hem Allah Teâlâ hem de insan için kullanımı mümkün olacak bir şekilde tanımlamaktadır. Bu tanımlamaları yaparken şiirler, dildeki kullanımlar ve âyetler ile istidlâlde bulunan İbn Şervîn, eserinin sonunda isimleri dilsel, şerʿî ve vazʿî olmak üzere üç kısma ayırmakta ve özellikle mecâz ile hakikatin kısımları hakkında detaylı bilgilere yer vermektedir. Fıkıh usûlünün konuları içerisinde yer alan emir sıygasının ifade ettiği anlamlar üzerinde örneklerle açıklamada bulunulması ise eserin dikkat çeken bir diğer yönüdür.

Dear editor of KADER. I am writing this letter both to congratulate you on your first issue to be published in English and to give you information about my new book called Islam and Evolution: Al-Ghazālī and the Modern Evolutionary Paradigm. It is the first book written from an Islamic perspective that is published with Routledge’s Science and Religion series. More specifically, it analyses the discussion of evolution through the lens of Islamic scholastic theology (kalām). I know that KADER occupies a very important space in kalām in Turkey, and it is why I hope you will find this to be a helpful addition in your first issue in English, which I hope will globally contribute to the studies in İslamic thought in general and the field of kalām in particular.

Hz. Peygamber’in vefatı sonrası Hz. Osman’ın (öl. 35/656) şehit edilmesi ve Hz. Ali’nin (öl. 40/661) halifeliği döneminde vuku bulan Cemel ve Sıffîn savaşları özellikle Müslümanları karşı karşıya getirmiştir. Yaşanan bu hâdiselerden sonra başlayan tartışmalar, özelde bir Müslümanı öldürenin durumu genelde ise kader ekseninde sürdürülmüştür. İlk dönemde ortaya çıkan bireysel düşünceler zamanla fırka/mezheplerin görüşlerine dönüşmüş, bu fırka/mezhepler diğer konularda olduğu gibi bu konuda da birbirlerini tenkit etmişler, konuyla ilgili reddiyeler kaleme almışlardır. Bu köklü ve çetrefilli konu, günümüze kadar gelen süreçte, Osmanlı’da da ele alınmış, Arapça ve Türkçe olarak ya eserlerin içinde bir bölüm olarak yer almış ya da müstakil risâleler halinde ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmanın konusu olan Boyabatlı Halil Şükrü Efendi’nin (öl.?) kazâ ve kader hakkındaki risalesi de işte bunlardan biridir. Müellif müstakil olarak kaleme aldığı risâlesinde, kendi düşüncelerini örneklerle açıklarken bazı fırkaların kazâ ve kader hakkındaki görüşlerini de çürütmeye çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmada Hafız Halil Şükrü Efendi’nin kazâ ve kader hakkındaki risalesi temel alınmıştır. Müellifin hayatı ve ilmî şahsiyeti hakkında ulaşılan arşiv belgelerinden özet bilgiler verilmiş, daha sonra risale tahlil edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Risalede müellif tarafından herhangi bir alt başlık kullanılmamıştır. Ancak risalenin tahlilinde tarafımızdan konunun daha rahat anlaşılmasını sağlamak amacıyla ilgili yerlerde alt başlıklar konulmuştur. Kazâ ve kader kavramları, fiillerin Allah’a ve insana nispet edilmesi, kaderin önceden belirli olup olmadığı, Cebriyye ve Muʻtezile fırkalarına verdiği cevaplar bu başlıklardan birkaç tanesidir. Halil Şükrü Efendi insan fiillerini kesb ve halk, kazâ ve makzî olarak iki ayrı grupta incelemiş, fiillerin failiyet mahalliyet açısından analizini de yapmaya çalışmıştır. Kader üst başlığında ele alınan hidâyet ve dalâlet ile adâlet ve zulüm konularında da görüşlerini belirten müellif teklif noktasında ilgi çekici değerlendirmelerde bulunmuştur. Halil Şükrü Efendi insan iradesi ile teklifin ayrı şeyler olduğunu, biri olduğu için diğerinin var olduğunu değil ikisinin de bağımsız olarak var olduğunu söylemiştir. Yani teklif olduğu için iman veya küfrün olmayacağını dile getiren Halil Şükrü Efendi’ye göre teklifin bu noktada insan iradesi veya seçimleri üzerinde bir bağlayıcılığı yoktur. Buna göre Halil Şükrü Efendi’nin, insan iradesiyle ilgili olarak Ebû Mansûr el-Mâtürîdî’nin (öl. 333/944) görüşlerine yakın bir görüşte olduğu söylenebilir.

The differences that emerged in the fiqh method regarding the definition of the judgment have a kalām-based ground. ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn al-Samarqandī talks about the theological ground of the theory of judgment and expresses the effect of theological divergences on the differences regarding the nature of the judgment. As a reaction to the Mu'tazila's understanding of good-evil/husn-kubh, that the judgments of actions can be known even before the shari’a comes, the Ash'arites claim that the mind cannot judge the goodness or badness of an action, that the mind does not require gratitude to the one who gives blessings, and that actions do not have any judgment before the bad thing comes. Also, in the basis of the problem of ḥadīth-ra’y lies of the differences of opinion that emerged in the theory of judgment. It is obvious that the Qur'an and the sunnah are the two most important sources. However, it is also known that the collection of hadiths causes a narrowing of the field of judgment with reason. Since they are the source of the ḥadīth-ra’y discussions, the authority of the Qur'an and the Sunnah is mentioned here. Here again, it should be emphasized that the authority of the Qur'an and Sunnah is provided by the kalam. The determination of the Divine will as the only authorized element in making judgments has also been determined by the kalam., Hükmün tanımına ilişkin fıkıh usulünde ortaya çıkan farklılıklar kelâmî bir zemin barındırmaktadır. Alaaddin es-Semerkandî hüküm teorisinin kelâmî zemininden bahsetmekte ve hükmün mahiyetine ilişkin farklılıklara itikadî ayrışmaların etkisini dile getirmektedir. Mu’tezile’nin şer’ gelmeden de fiillerin hükümlerinin bilinebileceğine ilişkin hüsun-kubuh anlayışına bir reaksiyon olarak Eş’arîler; aklın bir fiilin hüsun ve kubhuna dair hüküm veremeyeceği, aklın nimet verene şükretmeyi gerektirmeyeceği ve şer’ gelmeden önce fiillerin hükmünün bulunmadığı iddiasındadırlar. Hüküm teorisinde ortaya çıkan görüş farklılıklarının temellerinde hadis-rey problemi de yatmaktadır. Kur'an ve sünnetin en önemli iki kaynak olduğu ortadadır. Bununla birlikte hadislerin toplanmasının reyle hüküm verme alanının daralmasına sebep olduğu bilinmektedir. Hadis-rey tartışmalarına kaynaklık etmeleri sebebiyle burada Kur'an ve sünnetin otorite oluşlarına değinilmiştir. Yine burada Kur’an ve sünnetin otoritesinin kelâm eliyle sağlandığı özellikle vurgulanmış, İlahî iradenin hüküm koymada tek yetkili unsur olarak tayin edilmesinin de kelâm eliyle belirlendiği dile getirilmiştir.

Bu çalışmada, Ebû Hanîfe -Doğruyu Arayanların Önderi- başlıklı kitabın incelemesi yapılmaktadır. Eser, örnek şahsiyet Ebû Hanîfe’nin hayatı ve görüşlerini konu edinmektedir. Genel okuyucu kitlesine hitap eden çalışmada akademik üslup yerine didaktik bir üslup benimsenmiştir. Müslümanların yaşadıkları kimlik ve değer krizlerini aşmak için İslam’ın özgün yorumlarından olan Ehl-i Re’y ekolünün önde gelen siması olarak Ebû Hanîfe’nin anlaşılması büyük önem arz etmektedir. Konuyla ilgili sayısız çalışma bulunmasının yanı sıra bu eser, Ebû Hanîfe’nin hayatı, kişiliği ve düşüncelerinin oldukça geniş bir kitleye ulaşmasını hedeflemektedir., In this review, the book titled Ebû Hanîfe -Doğruyu Arayanların Önderi- is examined. The book deals with the life and views of the exemplary figure, Abū Ḥanīfa. The book, which appeals to be written for a general audience, has adopted a didactic style instead of an academic style. In order to overcome the identity and value crises experienced by Muslims, it is of great importance to understand Abū Ḥanīfa as the leading figure of ahl al-ra’y (the school of opinion), which is one of the original interpretations of Islam. In addition to the numerous studies on the subject, this work aims to reach a broad audience of Abū Ḥanīfa’s life, personality, and thoughts.

Kelamcılar arasında zannî bilginin dinin temel itikadî ilkelerinin tespitinde belirleyici ve bağlayıcı olarak esas alınamayacağı görüşü hâkimdir. Bununla birlikte kesinlik ifade eden bilginin hangi kaynaklardan ve nasıl elde edileceği ve hangi bilgi türlerinin kat‘î olduğu hususu yoğun bir şekilde tartışılmıştır. Kat‘î ve zannî bilgi, delile dayanma açısından ortak bir noktada buluşmaktadır. Zannî bilgi, kesinlik ifade etmeyen aklî ve/veya naklî delille elde edilmektedir. Zan, mahiyet açısından vehim, şek, itikat ve ilim kavramlarıyla ilişkiliyken değer açısından ise daha çok ilim ve itikat kavramlarına yakın durmaktadır. Bir bilgi/hüküm zannîlik açısından derecelendirmeye tabi tutulduğunda, doğruluk tarafı ağır basıyorsa zan, zayıf kalıyorsa vehim vasfını almaktadır. Doğru olup-olmadığı eşit düzeyde ise bu hüküm şek ismiyle anılmaktadır. Aklî delilden elde edilen bilgi/hüküm sabit, değişmez ve uygunluk yönünden başka şekilde olmasına imkân vermeyecek bir kesinlikte olması halinde kat‘î bilgi adını alır. Kelâmcılar ulûhiyet bahislerinde (Allah’ın varlığı, birliği, kadim oluşu, sıfatların zat ile ilişkisi, Allah’ın âlemle ilişkisi, âlemin hadis oluşu gibi), nübüvvetin imkânı ve ispatında bu tür bilgi sağlayan kıyas, istikra, sebr ve taksim gibi aklî istidlal yöntemlerine başvurmuşlardır. Delil kesin bilgi sağlamıyorsa zan ifade eder, bu delil ayrıca zannî delil, emare olarak da nitelenir. Kelâmcılar aklî açıdan zan ifade eden meşhûrât, müsellemât, makbûlât ve temsilden oluşan bilgi türlerinin dinin temel itikadî konularını temellendirmekten ziyade muhataplarını ikna etmek ve muarızlarını ilzâm etmek için kullanmışlardır. Kelâmcılar temel itikadî konuların başında yer alan ulûhiyet bahislerinde daha çok aklî delilleri kullanmakla birlikte dinin temel konularını belirleyen nakle de önemli ölçüde yer vermişlerdir. Bu bağlamda kelâmcılar sübût ve delalet açısından kat’î olan naklî delili bağlayıcı ve belirleyici kabul etmişlerdir. Nitekim dinin temel itikadî ilkeleri sonuç itibariyle bu tür naklî delillere dayanmaktadır. Bununla birlikte kelâmcılar her ne kadar sübût ve delâlet açısından kat‘î olmayan haber-i vâhid gibi delilleri bağlayıcı kabul etmemişlerse de bazı sem‘î konularda bu türden delillerle istidlâlde bulunmuşlardır. Bu perspektiften hareket eden kelâmcılar ahiret ahvali kapsamında yer alan kabir azabı, mizan, şefaat, sırat gibi sem‘î konuları aklî istidlalden ziyade naklî delille temellendirmeye çalışmışlardır. Bu çalışma klasik kelâmî kaynaklarda tartışılagelen zannî bilginin istidlal değerini ve kullanım alanını konu edinmiş ve elde edilen veriler nitel bir yöntemle farklı açılardan değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Bu cümleden olmak üzere zannî bilginin bazı tâli itikadî konularda geçerli olduğu ve kelâmda zannın istidlal değerinin olmadığı yönündeki söylemin mutlak olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır., There is a prevailing opinion that conjectural knowledge (zann) cannot be taken as a basis in determining the fundamental theological principles among the theologians. However, from which sources and how to obtain certainty (yaqīn) and which types of knowledge are definitive (qat‘ī) have been discussed extensively. Certain and conjectural knowledge meet at a common point in terms of relying on evidence. Conjectural knowledge obtained via reasoning and/or religious scripture that do not express certainty. While conjectural knowledge has been essentially related to the concepts of estimation, doubt, belief and knowledge, by its in term of value, it is stands closer to the concepts of knowledge and belief. Conjectural knowledge contains different degrees of certainty. When it is chosen to be more certain, it is considered as a valid conjecture, when it is disregarded, it is considered as erroneous conjecture. If there is no choice for its certainty, then it is called doubt (shakk). If the information/judgment obtained through reasoning becomes fixed, unchangeable and in a coherence that does not allow it to be otherwise, then it is called definitive (qat‘ī) knowledge. To achieve that, theologians generally used methods of argumentations like syllogism, induction, exhaustive investigation and disjunction (al-sabr wa’l-taqsīm) to provide such knowledge about divinity and prophethood. Theologians have used conjectural knowledge, which are based on endoxic (mashhūrāt), already granted (musallamāt) and acceptance of authority (maqbūlāt), in their dialectics to persuade their discussants, rather than to justify the fundamental theological issues of religion. While theologians mostly use rational proofs in theological issues, they also gave significant place to the scriptural narrative that determines the creed. In this context, theologians accepted the narrated evidence as binding and decisive, as long as it is certain in terms of both authenticity and implication. Ultimately, the fundamental theological principles of religion are based on these narrative evidences. Although the theologians do not accept single reports (khabar al-wahid) for their questionable authenticity, they also made inferences regarding subjects of traditions (sam‘iyyāt). Acting from this perspective, theologians tried to justify with narrative evidence rather than rational arguments on these issues such as torment in grave, intercession (shafā‘ah) and sirât, which are mostly matters of eschatology and the unseen (ghayb). Finally, it has been concluded that the conjectural knowledge is still valid in some secondary theological issues and the assumption that the conjectural knowledge has no deduction value in theology is not absolute.

Kelam âlimlerinin, mutasavvıfların ulûhiyet anlayışına yönelttiği eleştirileri konu edinen bu çalışma, bir giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişte ulûhiyet kavramı ile kelâm ve tasavvuf açısından ulûhiyetin önemi açıklanarak tasavvufun eleştiri aldığı konulara ve niçin eleştirildiğine değinilmiştir. Birinci bölümde mütekellimlerin varlık anlayışı ile tevhîd, isimler ve sıfatlar konusundaki görüşleri, Mu‘tezile ve Ehl-i Sünnet mezhepleri ekseninde aktarılmıştır. İkinci bölümde sûfîlerin varlık algısı, tevhîd, isimler ve sıfatlara dair görüşleri, İbn Arabî öncesi ve sonrası şeklinde iki dönemde incelenmiştir. Tasavvufa yöneltilen eleştiriler noktasında öne çıkan bir anlayış olması hasebiyle vahdet-i vücûd anlayışı ayrıca ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise ilk olarak tasavvufun eleştirilme sebepleri ve hangi konular üzerinden tenkitlere maruz kaldığı açıklanmıştır. Sonrasında mütekellimlerden sûfilere yönelen eleştiriler, kendi eserleri üzerinden aktarılmıştır. Bu noktada eleştirilerine yer verilen âlimler İbnü’l-Cevzî, Gazzâlî, İbn Teymiyye, Mustafa Sabri Efendi ve İmam-ı Rabbanî’dir. Çalışma, elde edilen tespitleri içeren sonuç kısmıyla nihayete erdirilmiştir. This study, which deals with the criticism of kalam scholars against mystics in terms of the understanding of divinity, consist of an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, the concept of divinity and the importance of divinity in terms of theology and mysticism are explained and the subjects that mysticism is criticized and it’s reasons are mentioned. In the first chapter, the understanding of existence of mutakallims and their views on tawhid, names and attributes are conveyed within the scope of Mu'tazila and Ahl al-Sunnah sects. In the second chapter, the Sufis' perception of existence, tawhid, names and attributes are examined in two periods, before and after Ibn Arabi. Since it is a prominent understanding in terms of criticisms against Sufism, the concept of unity of existence is also discussed. In the third chapter, firstly, the reasons for the criticism of Sufism and the subjects on which it was criticized are explained. Afterwards, the criticism of the mutakallims towards the Sufis were conveyed through their own works. At this point, the scholars whose criticisms are included are Ibn al-Jawzi, Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyya, Mustafa Sabri Efendi and Imam-i Rabbani. The study was concluded with the conclusion part containing the determinations obtained during this period.

Bu makalede Fârâbî metafiziğinin genel yapısı içerisinde kelâm ilminin konumu incelenmektedir. Makale iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci kısımda Fârâbî’nin yetkinleşme düşüncesi çerçevesinde metafiziğin pozisyonu üzerinde durulmaktadır. İkinci kısımda ise Fârâbî’nin el-İbâne ʿan ġarażi Arisṭoṭâlîs fî kitâbi mâ baʿde’ṭ-ṭabîʿa eserinin yakın bir okuması yapılmakta ve Fârâbî’nin mille teorisi dahilinde kelâm ilminin nazarîliği ile ilgili yaklaşımı analiz edilmektedir. Makalede yetkinleşme ve anlam teorilerinin Fârâbî’nin felsefesindeki genel konumu irdelenmeksizin bu iki teorinin Fârâbî’nin metafizik ve kelâm ile ilgili analizlerindeki etkileri üzerinde durulmaktadır. Makalede Fârâbî metafiziğinin onun yetkinleşme ve anlam teorileri arka planında değerlendirilmesi gerektiği düşüncesi, konuyla ilgili ikincil literatür dikkate alınarak irdelenmektedir. Bu iddiaya delil olarak Fârâbî’nin felsefî ilimleri aklî yetkinleşmenin basamakları olarak tarif etmesi ele alınmaktadır. This article is about the place of kalām (theology) within the general structure of al-Fārābī's metaphysics. In this framework, the article consists of two parts. The first part examines the position of metaphysics within the framework of al-Fārābī's idea of perfection. In the second part, a close reading of al-Fārābī's al-Ibāna ʿan ġarażi Arisṭuṭālīs fī kitābi mā baʿda al-ṭabīʿa is made and al-Fārābī's approach to the theoretical aspect of theology within the theory of milla is analyzed. Since al-Fārābī's theories of perfection and meaning are the theories that affect a major part of his philosophy, the article shows the effects of these two theories on al-Fārābī's analysis of metaphysics without examining their general position in alFārābī's philosophy. In this framework, the article examines the idea that al-Fārābī's metaphysics should be evaluated in view of the background of his theories of perfection and meaning, based on the secondary literature on the subject. As evidence for this claim, al-Fārābī's description of the philosophical sciences as the steps of intellectual perfection is shown in the article. The article emphasizes that al-Fārābī's evaluations of the relationship between kalām and metaphysics are based on the theory of perfection. A close reading of the relevant passages in Taḥṣīl al-saʿāda, Treatise on Intellect (Risāla fi-l ‘aql), and Kitāb al-Ḥurūf shows how al-Fārābī's theories of perfection and meaning form the background of his analysis of metaphysics through the philosopher's arguments…

Yüksek Lisans Tezi, İbnü’l-Hümam’a Göre Hüsün-Kubuh Meselesi adlı çalışmamızda İslâm düşünce tarihinde farklı disiplinler tarafından ele alınan ve ahlâkî yargıları ifade eden “hüsün-kubuh” kavramları noktasında, 9. Hicrî asırda yaşamış, kelam, fıkıh, hadis ve diğer ilimlerde değerli eserlerin sahibi olan, geliştirmiş olduğu kelâmî yöntemler ile gerek yaşadığı devir ve gerekse sonraki dönemlerin Müslüman düşüncesi üzerinde etkili olan İbnü’l-Hümam’ın düşüncelerini, klasik kelâm düşüncesindeki görüşlerle arasındaki farklılık ve benzerlikleri tespit etmeye çalıştık. Tezimiz giriş ve iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, hüsn ve kubh kavramlarından yola çıkarak meselenin genel bir tasvirini çizmeye, hüsün-kubuh meselesinin tarihçesini ele alarak meselenin kökenini anlamaya ve kelamda hangi noktalarda tartışma konusu olduğunu ele almaya çalıştık. Mu‘tezile, Eş‘arî ve Mâtürîdî kelâm ekollerinin meseleye dair yaklaşımları, ayrışma noktaları ve kendi yorumlarını desteklemek için sunmuş oldukları argümanların incelemesini yaptık. İkinci bölümde ise, hüsün ve kubuhun kaynağı, hüsün-kubuh ile ilgili olabileceğini düşündüğümüz ta’dil-tecvir, hidâyet-dalâlet konuları ve İbnü’l-Hümam’ın mesele hakkındaki görüşlerini etkileyen faktörlerden akıl-nakil, irade-fiil, salah-aslah, ecel ve teklif anlayışı üzerinde durarak müellifimizin görüşlerini ortaya koyduk. Tezimizi sonuç kısmında İbnü’l-Hümam’ın Mu’tezilî ve Eş’arî bilginlerin aksine aklı ve nakli buluşturan mutedil bir yol izlediği şeklinde bir değerlendirme yaparak sonlandırdık., In our study titled " The Problem of Husn-Qubh According to İbn al-Hümam", the concepts of "husn-qubh", which are discussed by different disciplines in the history of Islamic thought and express moral judgments, we tried to determine the thoughts, differences and similarities between Ibn al-Humam's views in classical kalam thought who lived in the 9th Hijri century, owner of valuable works in kalam, fiqh, hadith and other sciences, with the theological methods he developed, who were influential on the Muslim thought of both the period he lived and the following periods. Our thesis consists of an introduction and two main chapters. In the first chapter, we tried to draw a general description of the issue based on the concepts of husn and qubh, to understand the origin of the issue by considering the history of the issue of husn-kubuh, and to discuss at what points it is a matter of discussion in kalam. We examined the approaches of Mu'tazila, Ash'ari and Maturidi theological schools on the issue, their divergence points and the arguments they presented to support their own interpretations. In the second chapter, the source of husn and qubh, the subjects of ta'dil-tacwir, guidance distraction, which we think may be related to husn-qubh, we presented the author's views by emphasizing the understanding of reason-transmission, will-action, righteousness-aslah, death and proposal, which are among the factors affecting Ibn al-Humam's views on the issue. In the conclusion of our thesis, we concluded by making an assessment that Ibn al-Humam, unlike Mu'tazilite and Ash'ari scholars, followed a moderate path that brought together reason and transmission.

Bu makalede Âdâbu’l-Baḥs̱ ve’l-Munâẓaranın (ABM) İslam mantık geleneğinin alt konularından biri ve cedel teorisinin uygulamasına yönelik kıyas araştırma sanatı olduğu iddia edildi ve ABM literatürü eser ve müellifleriyle tespit edildi. Bu çalışmadaki amaç, ABMnin kaynağına yönelik tespitlerde bulunup günümüz akademik çalışmalarında İslam mantık geleneği ile ilgili yeni konu, problem ve tartışma alanlarının imkânının genişlemesi için ABM müelliflerini ve eserlerini belirlemektir. Cedel, Aristotelesçi mantık yazınının bir konusudur. O, İslam mantık literatüründe hem mantık kitaplarında hem de kelâm ve fıkıh kitaplarında yer bulmuştur. Cedel, kelâm kitaplarında münâẓara olarak ele alınmıştır. Örneğin el-Baġdâdî’nin İʿyâru’n-Nazar fî ʿİlmi’l-Cedel eseri. Bu isimlendirmenin dayanağı kelâm disiplinin cedeli geçerli olanı tespit etme (iẓhâru’ṣ-ṣavâb) sanatı olarak yorumlamasıdır. Fıkıh kitaplarında da yine aynı amaçla yargıdaki ihtilafların çözümüne katkı sağlayan bir sanat olarak ele alınmıştır. Örneğin ed-Debûsî’nin Taḳvîmu’l-Edille eseri. Bunun yanında İbn Ḥazm’ın et-Taḳrîb fi’l-Manṭıḳ eseri istisna olmakla beraber Arapça mantık eserlerinde (İbn Sînâ’dan sonra) cedel, özellikle de cedelin uygulama konuları ele alınmamakta kelâm ve fıkıh kitaplarında yer almaktadır. Bu mantık eserlerinde sadece cedelî kıyasların öncüllerinin bilgi değeri hakkında açıklamalar bulunmaktadır. İbn Ḥazm’ın istisna tutulma nedeni et-Taḳrîb isimki mantık eserinde kelâmcıların cedel yorumuna yani münâẓaraya uygun olarak cedel konusunu beş sanat altında ele almasıdır. ABM kelâmcıların belirlediği ve sonra fıkıh eserlerinin de benimsediği geçerli olanı tespit etme amacına dayanarak sistemleştirilmiş bir cedel sanatıdır ve mantık kitabında ele alınmaktadır. Bu anlamıyla ABM, İbn Sînâ sonrası İslam mantık yazını çerçevesinde cedelin ve uygulamasının yeni bir formatta mantık kitaplarına dönüşü anlamına gelir. Başka bir ifadeyle ABM, Aristotelesçi cedel teorisinin bir yorumu olarak İslam mantık literatürü içerisinde aldığı son formdur. 14. yy.’da başlayıp 20. yy.’la kadar süren ABM eserleri, literatür taraması yöntemi ile tespit edildi. Literatür taraması iki aşamalı gerçekleşti. Öncelikle Türkiye yazma eser kütüphanelerindeki ABM mecmuaları incelendi. Bu mecmualarda İSAM, YEK, Princeton Üniversitesi İslam Dünyasının Yazmaları gibi kataloglar ile ṭabâḳât ve terâcim eserlerinde henüz yer almayan birçok eser tespit edildi. İkinci aşamada ṭabâḳât ve terâcim eserleriyle kataloglardaki eserler belirlendi. Buna göre ABM yazınına dair 291 eser ve 217 müellifin olduğu görülmektedir. Büyük çoğunluğu Osmanlı uleması olan müelliflerin neredeyse tamamı müderristir. 291 eserin ekserisi haşiye ve şerhtir. Bu eserler çoğunlukla medreselerde okutulmak üzere kaleme alınmıştır. Semerkandi sonrası şerh ve haşiye ile inceleme konusu olan birçok metin bulunmaktadır. Örneğin Aḋudduddîn el-Îcî’nin tek sayfalık metni, Ḥüseyin el-Adanavî’nin Ḥüseyniyye’si, Birgivi Mehmed Efendi’nin bir sayfalık metni, Taşköprülüzade’nin risalesi, Saçaklızade’nin Velediyye’si gibi. En fazla ABM eseri kaleme alan müellif, dokuz eserle Cârullâh Velîyyüddîn b. Muṣṭafâ b. ʿAlî el-İsṭanbûlî Ebû ʿAbdullâh’dır., Ādāb al-Baḥth wa al-Munāẓara (ABM) is a subtopic of the tradition of Islamic logic and a method of investigation based on the application of dialectic. In this article, we investigated the origin of ABM and gave a list of works on ABM between the 14th-20th centuries. The problem with the article is what the ancestry of ABM is and how volumes of work on ABM are. The dialectic is a branch of Aristotelian logic. Aristotle committed to paper the dialectic as a book. After Aristotle, in the tradition of Islamic logic, the dialectic has taken place in books of Islamic logic as well as works on al-kalam and fiqh. For instance, al-Baghdādī wrote Iʿyār al-Nażar fī ʿIlm al-Jadal in al-kalām, and in al-fiqh, al-Dabūsī devoted a chapter for dialectic in his Taqwīm al-Adilla. Islamic theologians (mutakallimūn) held the Aristotelian dialectic as speculation (naẓar) by paraphrasing it. Otherwise, Islamic canonists held the Aristotelian dialectic as a chapter named by the divergences of legal opinions (khilāf). In this context, naẓar, and khilāf are distinct in their aim from the Aristotelian dialectic. Their common aim is to demonstrate a true proposition validly (taḥqīq). However, in the literature of post-Avicennian Islamic logic, the dialectic and its application are not a chapter of Islamic logic opuses but chapters of al-kalām and fiqh. These opuses have just included certain explanations about the information value of dialectical premises. In this context, ABM means returning dialectic to Islamic logic papers in a new formation. Briefly, ABM is the latest form of Aristotelian dialectic in Islamic logic. The list of works on ABM was obtained by searching ISAM and YEK manuscript databases and books of biographical sketches (tarājim) and literary history (ṭabāqāt). In this regard, there are two hundred ninety-one works on ABM and there are two hundred seventeen authors. The most prolific scholar on ādāb is Jār Allāh Valī al-Dīn b. Muṣṭafā b. ʿAlī al-Isṭanbūlī Abū ʿAbd Allāh. After Samarqandī, some texts on ādāb have been popular, especially in Ottoman academic areas like madrasas. For example, Aḋud al-Dīn al-Ījī’s one page concise text, Ḥusayn al-Adanavī’s Ḥusayniyya, Birgivī Mehmed Efendi’s one page concise text, Ṭashkoprilīzāda’s ādāb epistle, Sajaklizāda’s Waladiyya. The number of commentaries and supercommentaries on these texts is more than one hundred. In the article, I aim to present a list of works on ABM for assisting in the academic investigation of ABM and to determine its origin.

2003 yılında yayın hayatına başlayan KADER Dergisi’nin 2022 Haziran sayısından itibaren kelâm alanında duayen hocalarımızla yaptığımız röportajlara da yer veriyoruz. Bu kapsamda ikincisini gerçekleştirdiğimiz bu seride Kelam alanının emektar hocalarından Prof. Dr. Metin YÜRDAGÜR'e misafir olduk. Aslen Kırım kökenli bir ailenin çocuğu olan hocamız İstanbul’da dünyaya gelmiştir. İmam Hatip Okulundan sonra İstanbul Yüksek İslam Enstitüsü’nde öğrenim görmüş ve 1973 yılında mezun olmuştur. Sonra sırasıyla MEB, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı ve Yükseköğretimde çeşitli görevler bulunmuştur. Türkiye Diyânet Vakfı İslâm Ansiklopedisi’nin Örnek Fasikülü’nden başlayıp ek ciltlerine kadar devam eden süreçte, İSAM’da aktif şekilde görev almıştır. Halen Kastamonu Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Dekanlığı vazifesini yürütmekte olan Metin hocamıza bu yoğun gündemine rağmen bize vakit ayırdığı için çok teşekkür ederiz., Since the 2022 July issue of KADER Journal, which began publishing in 2003, we have included interviews with doyen scholars in the field of kalām. Within this scope, for the second interview of our interview series, we will be accompanied by Prof. Dr. Metin Yurdagür. Originally from a family of Crimean origin, he was born in Istanbul. Upon having graduated from Imam Hatip School, he began to study in Istanbul High Islam Institute and graduated in 1973. Then, he worked in, in the given order, The Ministry of National Education, The Presidency of Religious Affairs and various universities. He participated, under ISAM, in publication of TDV Encyclopedia of Islam from the very beginning till supplemantary fascicules. This paper analyzes Girīdī (the Cretan) Sirrī Pasha’s (1844-1895) translation of Sharḥ al-ʿAqāʾid al-Nasafiyya by al-Taftāzānī (d.792/1390). The paper begins with contextualizing this translation by alluding to the background of Sirrī Pasha and his other works. I particularly pay attention to the translator’s prolegomenon which reflects his conception of kalām. Then the paper shows how a translation expands this classical Māturīdite kalām text for the nineteenth century Ottoman readers, by including all different opinions from other commentaries and glosses on Sharḥ al-ʿAqāʾid. Collection of views in the translation enables us to compare all different positions. Sirrī Pasha did not only translate the text and quoted other interpretations but put forward his own comments. Thus, I call it “commentarial translation”. This study also analyzes the views on the concept of human free will, which was regarded as the main conflict between Māturīdī and Ashʿarī schools. Sirrī and his sources hold fast to the Māturīdī position in their discussion of the particular free will (al-irāda al-juzʾiyya)., Bu makalede Giritli Sırrı Paşa’nın (1844-1895) Şerhu’l-Akāid Tercümesi analiz edilmektedir. Makalede öncelikle Sırrı Paşa’nın entelektüel arka planı ve diğer eserlerine değinilerek tercüme tarihsel bağlamına yerleştirmeye çalışıldı. Özellikle mütercimin kelâm tasavvurunu yansıtan mukaddime kısmına dikkat çekildi. Mâtürîdî kelâmına dair klasik bir metnin on dokuzuncu yüzyıl Osmanlı okuyucusu için Şerhu’l-Akāid’in diğer şerh ve haşiyelerindeki farklı yorumları içerecek şekilde tercümenin nasıl genişlediği gösterildi. Tercümede farklı görüşlerin bir araya toplanması, aynı mesele karşısında farklı yaklaşımların birbirleriyle karşılaştırılabilmesini sağlamaktadır. Sırrı Paşa sadece metni tercüme edip diğer yorumları nakletmekle kalmamış, kendi yorumlarını da ortaya koymuştur. Bu nedenle bu tercümeyi “yorumlu tercüme” olarak adlandırmaktayız. Örnek olarak bu çalışma Mâtürîdî ve Eşʿarî ekolleri arasındaki temel ihtilaflardan biri olarak görülen irâde-i cüzʾiyye kavramı üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Sırrı Paşa ve faydalandığı kaynaklardan Cevdet Paşa bu meselede Mâtürîdî görüşü benimsemişlerdir.

Bu makalede çağdaş İslam düşüncesinde kelâmi değişim ele alınacaktır. Klasik kelâm ilminin bilinen tartışma konularının önemini yitirdiği son iki asırda, Müslümanların Batı’ya karşı geri kalmışlığına çare bulmak amacıyla sürekli bir çabaya şahit olmaktayız. Bu çabanın pratik sonuçları bir yana kelâmi perspektifte yenilikler getirdiği şüphesizdir. Makalede söz konusu yenilikler gaye ve muhteva bakımından mercek altına alınacaktır. Anadolu, Hint Alt Kıtası, Orta Asyave Mısır’da merkezileşen çağdaş İslam düşüncesi ittihad-ı İslâm idealine yoğunlaşmıştır. Efgânî’nin fikrî temellerini attığı pan-İslamizm diğer muasır düşünürlerin de temellendirmek istediği bir ütopya niteliğindedir. Bunun dışında düşünürler dinî düşünceyi taklit zincirinden kurtarmak mezhep odaklı kelâm yerine güncel sorunları konu edinmişlerdir. Düşüncede rasyonelleşmeyi Batı’nın felsefe ve bilimde geldiği noktayla ilişkilendirmemek mümkün görünmemektedir. Seyyid Ahmed Han gibi bazı Müslüman düşünürlerin mucize, keramet, cin gibi konuları bilimle ilişkilendirme çabası da çağdaş İslam düşüncesinde görülen Batı etkisinin örneklerindendir. “Yeni İlm-i kelâm” olarak adlandırılan bu dönemde varlık meselelerinde eski çağ felsefesinden mülhem teoriler genellikle terk edilmiştir. Umumi manada kelâmi söylemi belirleyen âmil klasik kelâm ekollerinin sınırları ve pozisyonları değil, Kur’an, akıl, bilim ve çağdaş Batı felsefesidir. Mezhepçiliğin yerini tenkitçiliğin almış olması alimlerin kelâmı işlevselleştirme çabasına dahildir. Klasik kelâm meseleleri bu doğrultuda yeniden tartışılmış ve ümmetin problemlerine çözüm üretme gayreti dönemin mümeyyiz vasıfları arasında yer almıştır.

Fatih İbiş'in kaleme almış olduğu "Anlamın Doğası" isimli eser; Giriş, Metodik Açıdan Anlam ve Kur'ân'da ve Teolojide Anlam olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Öncelikle felsefî açıdan anlam üzerine başlıklar açan yazar aynı zamanda kelam alanında akademisyen olması sebebiyle ikinci bölümde anlamı Kur'an merkezli ele alarak kelam ve teoloji bağlamında da değerlendirmektedir.

Yarsan Kürtlerinin dini edebiyatı, Kürt edebiyatının zengin bir parçasıdır. Bu nedenle, Yarsan metinlerinin araştırılma ve analizi, genel olarak Kürt kültürü, inançları ve tarihinin yeterince bilinmeyen bir yönünü ortaya çıkarmak için önemli ve gerekli bir çalışmadır. Aynı zamanda Goranlar tarafından ve Gorani lehçesi ile yazılan bu metinler üzerinde yapılacak araştırmalar, Goranların ırk ve dil kökenini ve Kürt olup olmadıklarını netleştirmek açısından da faydalı olabilir. Zira bahsi geçen metinler her şeyden önce Goran Yarsanların ırkları ve dilleri hakkındaki görüşlerini ve "Kürt" ve "Goran" kelimelerinin onların belleklerindeki anlamlarını ortaya çıkarabilir. Therefore, the study and analysis of Yarsan texts is definitely an important and necessary work to reveal an under-reported aspect of Kurdish culture, beliefs and history in general. At the same time, the reserch on these texts written by the Gorans and in the Gorani dialect can be useful for clarifying the origin of the race and language of Gorans also their Kurdishness or non-Kurdishness. Above all, reserch on Yarsan texts can reveal the opinion of the Gorans about their race and language and the meaning of the words “Kurd” and “Goran” in their context. The main purpose of this work is defining and analyzing the concept of words “Kurd“ and “Goran” in the texts of the Yarsans.

Bu çalışma, Kutadgu Bilig çerçevesinde Yusuf Has Hâcib’in Peygamberlik kurumuna bakışını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Kutadgu Bilig, Türk düşünce tarihinin temel kaynakları arasındadır. Bu eserde Yusuf Has Hâcib kendine özgü şiirsel üslubuyla dinî konulardaki görüşlerini ortaya koymuştur. Onun görüşlerinden hareketle Türk din anlayışının temel özellikleri tespit edilebilir. Yusuf Has Hâcib, eserinde İslam Dini’ne dair pek çok görüşünü edebi bir üslupla yansıtmıştır. Bunlar arasında itikadî konular da yer almaktadır. Peygamberlik kurumu hakkındaki görüşleri özellikle dikkate değerdir. Bu bakımdan çalışmamızda eser ve yazar hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra Yusuf Has Hâcib’in peygamberlik tasavvuruna yer verilmiş, Hz. Muhammed’i diğer peygamberlerden üstün kılan özellikleri, kendisine ve sülalesinden gelenlere saygısı ele alınmıştır. Onun Peygamber, Ehl-i Beyt ve sahabe konusundaki görüşlerinin Hanefi-Mâtürîdî yorum biçimini yansıttığı görülmektedir. Çalışmamız, literatür taraması, kaynak analizi, karşılaştırma ve değerlendirme metotlarıyla ele alınmıştır., This study aims to reveal Yusuf Has Hacib's view of the institution of Prophethood within the framework of Kutadgu Bilig. Kutadgu Bilig is among the main sources of the history of Turkish thought. In this work, Yusuf Has Hacib revealed her views on religious issues with his unique poetic style. Based on his views, the basic features of the Turkish understanding of religion can be determined. Yusuf Has Hacib reflected many of his views on the Religion of Islam in a literary style in his work. Among these, there are also theological issues. His views on the institution of prophethood are particularly noteworthy. In this respect, in our study, after giving information about the work and the author, Yusuf Has Hacib's vision of prophethood is included; the features that made the prophet Muhammad superior to other prophets and his respect for himself and his descendants were discussed. It is seen that his views on the Prophet, Ahl-i Bayt and Companions reflect the Hanafi-Maturidi interpretation. Our study has been actualized with literature review, source analysis, comparison and evaluation methods

Fahreddin er-Râzî’nin (ö. 606/1210) bazı eserlerinde dile getirdiği naklî/lafzî delillerin zannîliği meselesini temellendirirken zikrettiği öncüllerden en önemlisi “naklî delile muârız olacak aklî bir delilin bulunması ihtimali vardır” şeklindedir. Bu öncül aklî delilin kesinlik verdiği üzerine kuruludur. Şöyle ki naklî bir delilin aklî bir delille teâruz etmesi hâlinde ya ikisinden birisi kabul edilip diğeri reddedilir ya her ikisi de kabul edilir ya da hiçbirisi kabul edilmez. Son iki ihtimal çelişiklerin aynı anda bir arada olması veya aynı anda olumsuzlanması imkânsız olduğundan uygulanamaz. Akıl naklin aslı olduğundan ve aklî delil kesinlik bildirdiğinden naklî delil kabul edilip aklî delil reddedilemez. Öyleyse aklî delil kabul edilir ve naklî delil ret ya da tevil edilir. Sonuç olarak naklî delilin kesinliği ortadan kalkar. Bu söylem günümüzde bazı çağdaş araştırmacılar tarafından kendisine nispet edilen bazı iddialar sebebiyle Râzî özelinde önemli bir probleme sebep olmaktadır. Zira özellikle el-Metâlibü’l-ʻâliye isimli eserinin mukaddimesindeki ifadeleri delil gösterilerek Râzî’ye “aklın metafizikte kesinliğe ulaşamayacağı” görüşü nispet edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla Râzî görünürde akıl ve aklî delil hakkında iki çelişik hüküm vermektedir. Bu çalışmada yukarıda tasvir edilen problem çözüme kavuşturulmaya çalışılacaktır. Öncelikle Râzî’nin aklın sınırından bahseden ifadeleri bağlamı içinde aktarılacak ardından bu ifadeler tahlil edilecektir. Temel iddiamız Râzî’nin gerçekte akıl hakkında iki çelişik söylemi olmadığı şeklindedir., Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī (d. 606/1210) makes a claim in some of his works that "textual evidence gives uncertain information epistemologically". While justifying this claim, which he has expressed in many of his works, he mentions some premises. These premises deal with a few aspects such as the nature of language, its transmission, its use, and what is non-linguistic. One of the most important of these premises is the following proposition about a non-linguistic issue: “There is a possibility that there is rational evidence that is opposed to textual evidence”. In other words, no matter which textual evidence we consider, there is always the possibility of rational evidence expressing its exact opposite. Why should the existence of such a possibility prevent the textual evidence from expressing certain information? We can answer this question as follows: The relevant premise is based on the fact that reason and rational evidence give certainty. Namely, in case textual evidence conflicts with rational evidence, either (i) rational evidence is accepted and the textual evidence is rejected, or (ii) textual evidence is accepted and rational evidence is rejected or (iii) both are accepted or (iv) none is accepted. The last two possibilities are not possible because it is impossible for the contradictions to coexist or be negated at the same time. Since the reason is the origin of the naql and rational evidence gives certainty, textual evidence cannot be accepted and rational evidence cannot be rejected. So, rational evidence is accepted and textual evidence is rejected or interpreted. In order to justify the uncertainty of the textual evidence, whenever Rāzī mentions this premise, he mentions the four possibilities above, and eliminates the other three, except the first, by putting forward the aforementioned reasons, and argues that in such cases there is no option other than the first possibility. As a result, the certainty of the textual evidence disappears. In addition to this discourse, an opposite discourse is attributed to Rāzī regarding the certainty that reason and rational evidence can reach.

Some writers have suggested that the classical Sunni kalām theory of divine attributes, which states that the attributes are 'neither God' nor 'other than God,' should be interpreted to mean a denial of the law of excluded middle. Some also seek to build a new kalām without such a principle. Although the author holds such a view to be unintelligible on its own grounds, it also has no basis in the classical kalām theory. This paper shall present a detailed investigation into the meaning of ghayr, and demonstrate, with ample textual evidence, that the classical theory of divine attributes only means a denial of identity along with the denial of metaphysical separability from the divine essence. This paper demonstrates how the term ghayr applies in contexts of metaphysics, theology, and natural philosophy as well. The formula that ‘something is not identical with’ nor ‘other than’ is applied equally to any property of a subject which is necessary and inseparable from it. That is, it applies equally to created beings as well. The paper shall begin with a linguistic discussion of the term ghayr, in order to demonstrate that it is not a negation in the Arabic language, but actually an adjective which also functions to form an exceptive clause. This proves that the formula on the divine attributes does not imply a rejection of excluded middle even at the basic linguistic level. Then the paper will discuss the term ghayr in technical contexts. This discussion does not limit itself to any school, but the discussion is based on four main sources: (1) the Maqālāt of al-Kaʿbī of the Muʿtazilī school; (2) the Maqālāt of al-Ashʿarī, (3) the Kitāb al-Tawḥīd and (4) the Taʾwīlāt of al-Māturīdī. Much attention is given to the latter because of claims by some that Māturīdī has a unique position on ghayriyya which implies the rejection of the law of excluded middle. There is no indication at all that such a formula implied a denial of the laws of logic. Claims to the contrary have failed to provide any linguistic or textual evidence for their interpretation, let alone philosophical justification for such a farfetched view., Klasik Sünnî kelâmın sıfatların ‘ne Tanrı’nın aynı ne de Tanrı'dan ayrı' olduğunu iddia eden ilâhî sıfatlar teorisi, üçüncü halin imkansızlığı yasasının inkarı anlamına gelecek şekilde yorumlanmıştır. Nitekim bu iddiada olan yazarlar, böyle bir teoriyi dışarıda bırakacak şekilde yeni bir kelâm inşa etme iddiasındadır. Yazar, böyle bir iddiayı kendinde anlamsız görmekle birlikte, klasik kelâm nazariyesinde de bir temeli olmadığını iddia etmektedir. Bu makale, ‘gayr’ın anlamı hakkında ayrıntılı bir inceleme sunmakta ve birçok metinsel kanıtla, klasik ilâhî sıfatlar teorisinin yalnızca özdeşliğin ve ilâhî zâttan ayrılabilirliğin inkarı anlamına geldiğini öne sürmektedir. Bu makale, gayr teriminin metafizik, teoloji ve doğa felsefesi bağlamlarında da geçerli olduğunu göstermektedir. “Bir şey bir diğerinin ne aynı ne de ayrıdır” formülü, bir öznenin kendisinden zorunlu ve ayrılmaz olan herhangi bir özelliğine eşit şekilde uygulanır. Bir diğer ifade ile söz konusu ilke, mümkün varlıklar için de aynı şekilde geçerlidir. Araştırma “gayr” kavramının Arap dilbiliminde aslî olarak olumsuzlama anlamına gelmediğini, aslında bir sıfat olduğunu ve aynı zamanda istisnaî cümle oluşturma işlevi gördüğünü iddia eden dilbilimsel bir tartışmayla başlamaktadır. Bu da ilâhî sıfatlara ilişkin ilkenin, temel dilbilimsel düzeyde bile üçüncü halin imkânsızlığı anlamına gelmediğini kanıtlamaktadır. Akabinde “gayr” kavramı kelâmî n. Bazı yazarların Mâtürîdî'nin üçüncü halin imkânsızlığı yasasının inkârını îmâ eden özgün bir duruşa sahip olduğunu iddia etmeleri nedeniyle, sonuncusu üzerinde daha fazla duruldu. Böylesi bir ilkenin mantık yasalarının inkârını îmâ ettiğine dair hiçbir belirti yoktur. Aksini iddia edenler, böyle mantıksız bir görüş için felsefi gerekçelendirme bir yana, yorumları için herhangi bir dilbilimsel veya metinsel kanıt bile sunamamıştır.

It is thought that Imam Māturīdī (d. 333/944), who has a voluminous work of tafsir as well as being a competent mutakallim, is closely interested in the basic issues of the individual and society. Māturīdī aimed to build the individual and society on a solid ground from the very beginning. First of all, he determined the characteristics of the nature that will shape the individual life of the human being, which he named as the "small world", and the religious and moral principles that are in harmony with them. While doing this, he took into account the society, socio-cultural and economic situation in which people live. Afterwards, he focused on the meanings attributed to the individual, society and revelation in order to create individual and social consciousness. Māturīdī, who accepts that the revelation is a founding and supporting element of reason, thinks that the line of prophethood that goes back to the Prophet Muhammad completely fulfills this mission. It also points out that revelation is the only element that should be relied upon in matters that cannot be known by reason in individual and social life. In this respect, according to Māturīdī, revelation is a gift of Allah for human beings. Because revelation is the primary factor that encourages people to obey Allah and enable them to achieve this. Our Prophet, who was the addressee of revelation and was assigned to convey it to people, was also described as a mercy for this reason. Throughout the article, the role of revelation in the construction of the individual and society will be discussed by focusing on Māturīdī's views., Yetkin bir mütekellim olmasının yanında hacimli bir tefsir eseri de bulunan İmam Mâtürîdî’nin (ö. 333/944) bireyin ve toplumun temel meseleleriyle yakından ilgilendiği düşünülmektedir. Mâtürîdî bireyin ve toplumun inşasının en baştan sağlam bir zemin üzerine kurgulanmasını hedeflemiştir. O, öncelikle “küçük âlem” şeklinde isimlendirdiği insanın bireysel hayatını şekillendirecek olan ve doğuştan ona yüklenen fıtrata dair özellikleri ve bunlarla uyum halindeki dinî ve ahlâkî ilkeleri tespit etmiştir. Bunu yaparken de insanın içinde yaşadığı toplumu, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik durumu dikkate almıştır. Sonrasında ise bireysel ve toplumsal bilincin oluşturulması adına ferde, topluma ve vahye yüklenen anlamlar üzerinde durmuştur. Vahyin kurucu ve aklı destekleyici bir unsur olduğunu kabul eden Mâtürîdî Hazreti Muhammed’e kadar uzanan peygamberlik çizgisinin bütünüyle bu misyonu icra ettiğini düşünmektedir. Ayrıca vahyin bireysel ve toplumsal hayatta akılla bilinmesi mümkün olmayan meselelerde dayanılması gereken yegâne unsur olduğuna işaret etmektedir. Bu yönüyle Mâtürîdî’ye göre vahiy insanoğlu için Allah’ın bir lütfudur. Çünkü vahiy insanları Allah’a itaate teşvik eden ve buna muvaffak olmalarını sağlayan aslî faktördür. Vahye muhatap olan ve onu insanlara tebliğ etmekle görevlendirilen Peygamberimiz de bu sebeple olsa gerek rahmet olarak nitelendirilmiştir. Makale boyunca Mâtürîdî’nin görüşleri merkeze alınarak vahyin, bireyin ve toplumun inşasındaki rolü tartışılacaktır.

İbâdet, bütün akıl sahibi varlıkların Allah'ın varlığını idrak edebilme ve O'na karşı şükretme duygusu olarak tanımlanır. İbadet eylemini incelemek, ibadet edenin doğasını tahlil etmeyi gerektirir. Bu tahlil bizi ibadet eylemine eşlik eden bilgi/kavrayış, niyet/yönelimsellik ve sürecin sonunda ortaya çıkan özgürlükle buluşturur. Bilgi/kavrayış, Kur'an'ın ibâdet olarak işaret ettiği ilişki formuna en derin mânâyı verir. İbadet, Tanrı'nın mutlak yaratıcı iradesini keşfetme ve ona insanî seviyede eşlik etme arzusudur. Allah’ın varlığını ve birliğini bilmeye yapılan çağrı, ibadetin bilgi ve niyet unsuruna en üst seviyede yapılan daveti içerir. Bu davete icabet sırasında devreye giren semboller ve her bir eyleme ibadet sırasında yüklenen anlam, insan yaşamında yeni olgulara hayat verir. Niyet yahut yönelimsellik ise, insanların parçası oldukları doğal nedensel bağları aşma arzusunu içinde barındırır. İnsanın verili olan bu düzeni ve illiyyet bağını aşarak kendine yeni bir ufuk arama çabası ibadetin niyetle ilgili kısmında içerilir. İbadet bir tanınma talebidir. Sonlu varlığın sonluluğunu ve sınırlılığını aşma arzusunu tatmin etmeyi amaçlayan bir ‘ilişki’ eylemidir. Sonlu ile Sonsuz arasındaki bu ilişkinin bilgi zemininde inşa edilmesi, Allah ile insan arasındaki sınırın bulanıklaşmasını değil tam tersine daha belirgin hale gelmesini sağlar. İbadetteki bilme, bilen öznenin her zaman bu sınırların farkında olması demektir. Niyet, sonlu varlığın Sonsuz olanla iletişime geçerek sonluluğun getirdiği değer yitimini dindirme arzusudur. Özgürlük ise sonlu varlığın Sonsuz Olan’la iletişimi yoluyla, kendisini çepeçevre kuşatan bütün kısıtlama ve dayatmalardan azade olma isteğidir. Allah’tan başkasına tapanların bir düşüş, parçalanma ve kayboluş trajedisi yaşamalarının sebebi her zaman bir kısıtın ve dayatmanın nesnesine dönüşmüş olmasındandır. Onun için Allah ısrarla ibadetin sadece kendine yapılmasını talep ederek bu trajediyi bloke etmek istemektedir. İbadetin kabulü için nasıl ibadetten önce yerine getirilmesi gereken şartlar, ibadet sırasında takip edilmesi gereken rükünler varsa, aynı şekilde ibadetten sonra yerine getirilmesi gereken şartlar vardır. Bunlar yapılan ibadetin gerçekten ibadet niteliğine sahip olup olmadığını denetleyen ibadet sonrası kriterlerdir; bu ibadetin fenomenolojisidir: İbadet bireyi kendi iç dünyasında bir itmi’nana kavuşturmalı, kamusal alanda ise ahlakî bir özne olarak inşa etmelidir., Worship/ibādah is commonly defined as the innermost capability of cognizing of all rational beings of the existence of God and the sense of gratitude towards Him. The oft-quoted verse from the Qur’ān, Chapter al-Dhāriyāt, verse 56, is interpreted to this cause: “And tell them that I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may (know and) worship me.” The intuitive knowledge requires them with conscious willingness to know His reality and conform their own existence to that of God. Analyzing worshipping act is to analyze the worshipper and his nature; so, it is necessary to engage in such a detailed probe of the composition of the human being as it is vital to our goal of showing how the personality of a human being is satisfied with the worshipping act. Therefore, analysis of human being as a worshipper brings us face-to-face such terms as intentionality (niyah), cognition (ma‘rifah) and freedom (hurriyah). Through his intentionality, human beings transcend the natural causal nexuses they are part of. We know that as part of nature and causal nexuses human beings have always been called to ponder about the created beings (how the sky is exalted, how celestial bodies are manifested as ornament, etc.), all of which are intended to affect his ‘will’ and orient it to this cause. Cognition, intentionality/willingness and freedom give the deepest meaning to what the Qur’ān describes as worship/ibādah, which is designed as an instrument for the inner development of the worshipper, who by the act of conscious/intentional self-surrender to the all-pervading Creative Will of God encounters with numinous One. Symbols in the worshipping act and the meaning every single act conveys during worship always remove the tension of this encounter, a phenomenological tide. Through this encounter, a worshipper transforms himself/herself into an ethical agent. The conditions that are necessary before, during and after prayer are intended to meet this essential end. The Qur’ānic verse, “Surely Prayer forbids indecency and evil” as post-condition of prayer is a call to create an ethical subject. And perseverance in prayer will turn this ethical subject into a subjected ethical subject which means ethical codes and norms willy-nilly arises from him. Al-amr bi’l ma’rūf and al-nahy ‘an al-munkar/enjoining the doing of what is right and avoiding doing of what is wrong is not but the manifestation of this exposed subject (determined or oriented subject), which means ethical behaviors necessarily become an indispensable part of him. Worship is a demand for recognition. It is a transpersonal act, aiming to satisfy the desire of finite being to transcend its finiteness. But at the end of worshipping act not unification, on the contrary a total clarification of the limits and borders between the two becomes much more evident.

Makalede amaç Hatibzâde’nin Risâle fî kelâmillâh ve rü’yetih adlı eserinin tahkik edilmesidir. Eserin ana muhtevası birbirinden ayrı iki metafizik problem üzerine kurulmuştur. Bunlardan ilki Allah’ın kelâmı, diğeri Allah’ın görülmesidir. Her iki konu kelâm ilmi çerçevesinde tartışılmaktadır. Bir haşiye görünümünde olmasına rağmen risâle müellifin kendine ait fikirlerini ve sorgulamalarını içermektedir. Risâlede daha çok müteahhir dönemdeki kelamcıların kitaplarına atıflar yoğunluktadır. Risâlenin ilk başlığı altında Tanrı’nın konuşan bir varlık olmasının anlamı ve ilâhî kelamın temellendirilmesi, bu temellendirmeye karşı çıkanların eleştirilmesi, lafız-mana olarak kelamın ikiye ayrılması, kelamın ibarelerden, ilimden ve iradeden ayrıştırılması üzerinde durulmaktadır. Burada son olarak kelam ile yalanın problematik ilişkisi analiz edilmektedir. İkinci başlık Allah’ın insanlar tarafından görüleceğini temellendirmekte, görme olayının mahiyeti ve fiziksel şartları sıralanmakta ve buna karşı çıkanların itirazları çürütülmektedir. Her iki problemin ispatında akıl bir delil olarak değerlendirilse de asıl delilin nakil olduğu ifade edilmektedir. Akıl açısından yapılan değerlendirmede Allah’ın konuşması ve görülmesinin imkânsız olmadığına dikkat çekilmektedir. Bilindiği üzere akıl açısından bir konu imkânsız değilse kelamcılar tarafından mümkün kategorisinde değerlendirilmektedir. Her iki meselede aklın sınırları çizilmiş ve ispatın temeline nakil yerleştirilmiştir. Ancak risâlede görüldüğü üzere meselelerin açıklanmasında kullanılan söylemlerin akıl ile çelişmemesine azami derecede dikkat edilmiştir. Hatibzâde aslında sonuç itibariyle bakıldığında cumhurun görüşlerine ters düşen bir yaklaşımı savunmaz. Ancak bu, onun geleneksel birikimi gözden geçirmediği ve olduğu gibi aktardığı anlamına gelmemelidir. Çünkü o başarısını meselenin sonucunu değiştirmekten ziyade sürecindeki etkinliğinde görmektedir. Bu bağlamda tek konu hakkında oluşan ekollerin yaklaşımları etraflıca özetlenir. Ardından yaklaşımlarını destekleyici delillerin gücü ve zaafları analiz edilir. Burada bir tür kanıtların seviye ölçüm tespitlerine bakılmaktadır. Bu, Hatibzâde’nin risâle boyunca sürdürdüğü tahkik yöntemidir. Dolayısıyla problemlerin sonuçlarını dikkate alarak onun hiçbir yenilik getirmediğine dair peşin hüküm vermek yanlıştır. Çünkü o yeni bir sonucu öne sürmekten çok sürecin zorlu yollarının nasıl geçildiğine yoğunlaşmaktadır. Aslına bakılırsa Hatibzâde bir meseledeki sonucu değiştirmek yerine sürecin değişik yollarını aramaktadır. Risâlenin yazı tarzına bakıldığında kullanılan ağdalı dil yanında muğlak cümleler ana fikirlerin yakalanmasını zorlaştırmaktadır. Buna bir de mantıki formların dizilimi eklendiğinde zorluk bir kat daha artmaktadır. Tekrar başa dönülürse Hatibzâde bu risâlesiyle, Allah’ın kelamı ve görülmesi konularında son sözü söylemek yerine gelecek kuşaklara, konuyla ilgili sözü edilen kanıtların tekrar gözden geçirilmesi gerektiğini göstermektedir., The aim of article is to critical edition of the work of Khatībzādah named Risāle fī kalām Allāh wa ruʾyātih. The main content of the work is based on two separate metaphysical problems. The first of these is about the God’s speech, and the other is the seeing of God. Both issues are discussed within the framework of the science of kalām. Although it looks like an annotation, the treatise contains the author's own ideas and questions. In the treatise, there are mostly references to the late period of the theologian’s books. Under the first title of the treatise, the meaning of God as a speaking being and the grounding of the divine word, the criticism of those who oppose this justification, the division of the word as word-meaning, the separation of the word from phrases, science and will are emphasized. Finally, the problematic relationship between the word and the lie is analyzed here. The second title grounds that God will be seen by people, the nature and physical conditions of seeing are listed, and the objections of those who oppose it are refuted. Although reason is considered as an evidence in the proof of both problems, it is stated that the main evidence is the transfer of prophet (ḥadīth). In the evaluation made in terms of reason, it is pointed out that it is not impossible for God to speak and be seen. As it is known, if a subject is not impossible in terms of reason, it is evaluated in the category of possible by theologians. In both cases, the boundaries of reason were drawn and the basis of proof was the transfer. However, as can be seen in the article, maximum attention has been taken to ensure that the discourses used in the explaining the issues do not conflict with reason. As a result, Khatībzādah does not advocate an approach that contradicts the views of the public. However, this should not mean that he does not review the accumulation of tradition and conveys it as it is. Because he sees his success in the effectiveness of the process rather than changing the outcome of the issue. In this context, the approaches of the schools formed on a single subject are summarized in detail. Then, the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence supporting their approach are analyzed. Here we look at the level measurement determinations of some kind of evidence. This is the method of verification (taḥkīk) Khatībzādah maintained throughout the treatise. Therefore, taking into account the consequences of the problems, it is wrong to prejudge that it does not bring any innovation. Because it focuses on how the difficult paths of the process were passed rather than suggesting a new result. If we go back to the beginning, Hatibzâde, with this treatise, shows the next generations that the mentioned evidence on the subject should be reviewed instead of saying the last word on the subject of Allah’s kalām and vision.

Allah’ın İlmi ve Mutlak Bilinmezlik Allah Teâlâ kemâl ifade eden sıfatlarla vasıflanmıştır. O’nun İlmi ezelîdir, kadîmdir. “Allah’ın isim ve sıfatlarından hiçbiri sonradan olma değildir. O, ilmiyle dâimâ bilir, İlim O’nun ezelde sıfatıdır. O, Ḳudretiyle dâimâ Ḳâdir’dir, Ḳudret O’nun ezelde sıfatıdır. Kelâm ile konuşur, Kelâm O’nun ezelde sıfatıdır. Yaratması ile dâimâ yaratıcıdır, yaratmak (Tekvîn) O’nun ezelde sıfatıdır…”, “Allah Teâlâ, yaratmadan önce de yaratıcı, rızıklandırmadan önce de rızık verici idi.” (Ebû Hanîfe). O’nun Güzel İsimlerinden bir kısmı ilim sıfatıyla bağlantılıdır. ‘Âlim, ‘Alîm, Ḫabîr, Ḥakîm, Ḥafîz, Raḳîb, Vekîl, Muḥît, Vâsi’, Muḥṣî, Müheymin, Şehîd isimleri hep O’nun ezelî ilmi ile bağlantılı isimlerdir. Semî’, Baṣar, İrâde, Ḳudret ve Tekvîn vb. sıfatları da O’nun İlim sıfatıyla bağlantılıdır. Allah Teâlâ kendi zâtını ve zâtının gayrını bilir. “Allah, yok olanı (ma’dûm) yokluğu hâlinde, yok olarak bilir. Onu yarattığı zaman nasıl olacağını bilir. Var olanı (mevcûd) varlığı hâlinde, var olarak bilir, onun yokluğunun (fenâ) nasıl olacağını bilir. Allah, ayakta duranın ayakta duruş hâlini, oturduğu zaman da oturuş hâlini bilir. Bütün bu durumlarda Allah’ın İlminde ne bir değişme ne de sonradan olma bir şey hâsıl olmaz. Değişme ve ihtilâf yaratılanlarda olur. Allah’ın İlmi birdir, mâ’lûmât ise çeşitlidir… Allah yarattıklarından hiçbirini kâfir veya mü’min olmaya zorlamamış ve onlardan hiçbirini mü’min veya kâfir olarak yaratmamıştır. Fakat onları şahıslar, fertler olarak yaratmıştır. Îman ve küfür kulların fiilleridir. Allah, küfre sapan kimseyi, küfrü esnâsında bir kâfir olarak bilir. O kimse daha sonra îman ederse, Allah onu îmanı hâlinde, mü’min olarak bilir ve O’nun İlmi ve sıfatı değişmeksizin onu sever.” (Ebû Hanîfe). Allah Teâlâ, külliyyâtı ve cüz’iyyâtı, geçmişi ve geleceği, gaybı, şehâdet âlemini ve varlıkların kaderlerini bilir. O, henüz fiil aşamasına gelmemiş olan insanların kalplerinde gizlediklerini de bilir. Allah, her şeyi ilmen kuşatmıştır. Abstract: Allah’s Knowledge and Absolute Obscurity Allah is characterized by adjectives expressing perfection. His Knowledge is eternal. “None of Allah’s names and attributes is an afterthought. He always knows with his knowledge, knowledge is his attribute in eternity. He is always Ḳâdir with His power, Ḳudret is His attribute in eternity. He speaks with the Word, the Word is His eternal attribute. He is always the creator with his creation, creating (Genesis, Takween) is his attribute in eternity…”, “Allah was the creator before and before He created, and he was the giver of sustenance before He provided sustenance.” (Abu Hanifah). Some of His Beautiful Names are related to the attribute of knowledge. The names ‘Âlim, ‘Alîm, Ḫabîr, Ḥakîm, Ḥafîz, Raḳîb, Vekîl, Muḥît, Vâsi’, Muḥṣî, Müheymin, Şehîd are all names associated with His eternal knowledge. Semi’, Baṣar, İrâde, Ḳudret ve Tekvîn etc. His attributes are also related to His attribute of Knowledge. Allah Almighty knows his own essence and his own self. “Allah knows the non-existent (ma‘dum) as non-existent in its absence. He knows what it will be like when he creates it. He knows the existent (existing, mawcud) as existing, He knows how its absence (fana) would be. Allah knows the standing state of the standing person and the sitting state when sitting. In all these cases, neither a change nor an afterthought will occur in Allah’s Knowledge. Change and conflict occur in those who are created. Allah’s Knowledge is one, and knowledge is diverse... Allah did not force any of His creations to become unbelievers or believers, and He did not create any of them as believers or unbelievers. But He created them as individuals, as individuals. Iman and disbelief are acts of servants. Allah knows a disbeliever as a disbeliever during his disbelief. If a person believes later, Allah knows him as a believer in his state of belief and loves him without changing his knowledge and attributes.” (Abu Hanifah). Allah knows the whole and the partial, the past and the future, the unseen, the realm of martyrdom, and the destinies of beings. He also knows what people who have not yet reached the stage of action hide in their hearts. Allah encompasses everything with knowledge.

Emr-i bi’l ma’rûf nehy-i ani’l münker Kelam ilmi için önemli bir ilkedir. Kavramlarını ve formülasyonunu Kur’an’ın belirlediği bu ilke Müslümanların iyi ve kötüye dair tutumunu şekillendirmiş ve belirlemiştir. Diğer taraftan toplumsal hayatta iyinin ve kötülüğün failleri ile kurulacak ilişki biçimlerini de ortaya koymaktadır. Nitekim ilkenin İslam tarihinin farklı dönemlerinde şiddete varan davranışlara neden olacak şekilde anlaşıldığı ve uygulandığı görülmektedir. Bunda ilkenin özellikle münkerin nehyi boyutu öne çıkmaktadır. Münkerin nasıl anlaşıldığı, kaynağı, nehyindeki kriterlerin neler olacağı sorularına verilecek cevapta kavramın anlam alanını doğru şekilde belirlemek önemlidir. Bu sebeple kavramları doğru anlamak, tarih içerisinde sosyal, kültürel, siyasî ve mezhebî etkilerin ötesinde Kur’an’daki kullanımlarına uygun şekilde anlamlandırabilmek için semantik analizlerini yapmak ilm-i kelâm için de kullanılan bir metottur. Makalemizde münker kavramının semantik analizi, kavramın köküne tarihi süreçleri dikkate alınarak klasik Arapça sözlüklerde verilen anlamlar, Kur’an’daki kullanılışları ve zıt, yakın ve eş anlamlı sözcükleri tespit ederek yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Münkerin Kelâmî ekoller tarafından nasıl ele alındığı da emr-i bi’l ma’rûf nehy-i ani’l-münker ilkesinin Kelâm ilminde nasıl anlaşıldığı ortaya koymak bakımından üzerinde durulan bir başka husustur., ‘Al-Amr bi-l-ma‘rūf wa-l-nahy “an al-munkar” is an important principle for the science of Kalam. This principle, the concepts of which are defined in the Qur'an, shaped and determined the attitudes of Muslims towards good and evil. It also reveals the relationship to be established with those who do good and evil in society. As a matter of fact, this principle has been understood to lead to violent behavior from time to time. The source of denial and the criteria for the prohibition of denial should be determined. For this reason, semantic analysis is applied in order to understand the concepts correctly and to make sense of their use in the Qur'an beyond social, political and sectarian effects. In this article, the meaning of munkar in classical Arabic dictionaries, its use in the Qur'an and how it is handled in theological schools will be discussed.

Mihne hadisesi kadar bu hadise sonrasında olan bitenler de ayrı bir dikkati gerekli kılmaktadır. Mihne sonrası, Ahmed b. Hanbel’in duruş ve düşünüşü daha da tavizsiz bir konuma taşınmış ve onu devri için bir meşruiyet kaynağı haline getirmiştir. Mihne sonrası Mutezile yerine ikame edilen Hanbeli fikirler muarızları üzerinde bir baskı aracı haline gelmiştir. Mihne sonrası mutedil şahıslar ve onların görüşleri görünmez hâle gelmiş orta yol bir çözümün adresi olan Eşʻarî de bu ortamdan etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışma mihne sonrası durumun Eş’arî üzerinden sünni kelam üzerindeki etkisinin tasvirini yapmayı amaçlamaktadır., The Mihna in the development of Islamic thought altered the course of history and had a significant impact on Kalam. Mihna, which was mentioned with Ma'mun, was eliminated after Mutawakkil. Even more than the Mihna event, what followed calls for special consideration. After the Mihna, Ahmed b. Hanbel's perspective and way of thinking transformed to one that was more intransigent, which made him a source of support for his transfer. After the Mihna, Mu'tazila superseded the Hanbali ideas, and they were used to exert pressure on their adversaries. Just after Mihna, moderates and their opinions were rendered invisible. Ash'ari, who was the location of a middle-ground solution, was impacted by this atmosphere. Through Ash'ari, this study seeks to explain the impact of the post-mihna condition on the Sunni Kalam., الملخص: المحنة في تاريخ الفكر الإسلامي واقعة مؤثرة على العديد من المجالات، ويظهر أثرها في الغالب على الكلام. المحنة التي استفحلَتْ مع المأمون وانقرضتْ مع المتوكل. بقدر حادثة محنة ولأهميتها فإن ما حدث بعدها يتطلب اهتمامًا خاصًا. فموقف الإمام أحمد بن حنبل وتفكيره بعد الحادثة جعله أكثر صلابة وجعله مصدر الشرعية في زمانه. فالأفكار الحنبليّة التي حلت محل فكر المعتزلة بعد المحنة أصبحت وسيلة للضغط على خصومها. وبعد المحنة أصبح المعتدلون في أفكارهم ووجهات نظرهم مُتَنَحُّون عن المجتمع، ولكن الأشعري الذي تأثر بهذه البيئة قد اختار الطريق الوسط. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف أثر المحنة على واقع الكلام السني؛ من خلال االأشعري.

Kelâm âlimleri “mûcize” kavramını iki farklı şekilde tarif etmişlerdir. Bunlardan ilkinde mûcize “Peygamber olduğunu ileri süren kimsenin elinde, onun doğruluğunu kanıtlamak için meydana gelen hârikulâde olay” şeklinde tanımlanmıştır. İkinci tarife göre ise mûcize: “Peygamberlik iddia eden bir zâtın elinde, inkârcılara meydan okuduğu bir sırada, kendisini doğrular mâhiyette, başkalarının benzerini yapamadıkları, Allah tarafından yaratılan, olağanüstü olay”lara verilen addır. Tanımlardan da anlaşılacağı üzere “mûcize” kelimesiyle genel olarak “hissî mûcize”lere işaret edilmektedir. Zaten erken dönemden itibaren görünür olmaya başlayan İcazu’l-Kur’ân çalışmalarını dışarıda tutarsak “mûcize” teriminin kelâmî metinlerde yer almaya başladığı IV. yy. dan itibaren genelde Hz. Peygamber’in (sav) hissî mucizelerinin bulunup bulunmağı temelinde tartışmalar yaşanmıştır. Hatta Kur’ân’da yer verilen geçmiş peygamberlere ait hissî mucize örneklerinden hareketle mesele zaman zaman peygamberlerin hissî mucizelerinin birbiriyle yarıştırılması boyutuna kadar taşınmıştır. Tüm bu tartışma safahatında geçmişte ve günümüzde ihmal edilen, gözden kaçırılan ya da yeteri kadar değer verilmeyen -bizce en önemli ve bugün de gözle görülür, dost, düşman, insaf sahibi herkesin takdirle karşıladığı- mûcize örneği ise Hz. Peygamber’in topyekûn dinî ve siyasî alanda sergilediği insanları dönüştürme kabiliyetidir. Kaldı ki Hz. Peygamber’in bu türden sergilediği mûcize örnekleri geçmişte bir noktada yaşanmış ve misyonunu tamamlayarak tarihin dehlizlerinde kaybolmuş da değildir. Aksine bu dönüştürme ameliyesi nebevî prensiplerin ikâmesi ile asr-ı saâdette ve sonrasında olduğu gibi günümüzde ve kıyamete kadar devam edecek olan zaman dilimlerinde de örnekliğini sürdürmeye ve fonksiyonunu icra etmeye devam edecektir. Hz. Peygamber’in başta Bedir Savaşı ve Hudeybiye Antlaşması olmak üzere birçok siyasî alanda yine bireysel ve toplumsal olarak içinde yaşadığı toplumun yüceltilip yükseltilmesinde olağanüstü bir başarı sağladığı yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Elde ettiği başarıların kendisini hiçbir şekilde asıl hedefinden, tevhid merkezli yaşantısından uzaklaştırmaması, günün sonunda yine “rabbine şükreden bir kul” vasfını koruması onun şahsî kemâlinin ve vahye muhatap oluşunun en büyük göstergelerindendir. John William Draper (ö. 1882) gibi Batılı bilim insanlarına şu türden cümleleri kurduran en mühim sâik de kuşkusuz Hz. Peygamber’in sözünü ettiğimiz o eşsiz dönüştürme kabiliyetidir: “Tüm insanlar arasında, insan ırkına en fazla tesir eden kişi, Justinianus'un (ö. 565) ölümünden dört yıl sonra Mekke’de, Arabistan'da doğan kişidir. Pek çok imparatorluğun manevî ve dinî lideri olmak, insan ırkının üçte birinin günlük hayatını yönlendirmek, belki de ‘Allah'ın Elçisi’ unvanının gerçek olduğunun delilidir.” İşte “Bir Mûcize Örneği Olarak Hz. In the first of these, the miracle is described as "the wonderful event that occurs in the hands of the person who claims to be a prophet to prove his truth". According to the second definition, a miracle is the name given to “extraordinary events, created by Allah, in the hands of a person claiming to be a prophet, at a time when he is challenging the deniers, in a way that confirms himself, and which others cannot replicate”. As it can be understood from the definitions, the word "miracle" generally is referred to "sensual miracles". In fact, since the fourth century, when the term "miracle" began to appear in kalām texts, there have been discussions on the basis of whether the prophet Muḥammad had emotional miracles. In fact, based on the examples of emotional miracles of past prophets included in the Qurʾān, the issue has sometimes been brought to the level of competing the emotional miracles of prophets with each other. The miracle example that has been neglected, overlooked or not valued enough in the past and today at the stage of all this discussion - in our opinion, the most important and visible today, appreciated by all friends, enemies, and fair-minded people - is the ability of the prophet Muḥammad to transform people in the whole religious and political sphere. Moreover, such examples of miracles exhibited by the prophet Muḥammad were experienced at some point in the past and were not lost in the passages of history by completing his mission. On the contrary, this transformation process will continue to maintain its exemplary and perform its function in the time periods that will continue today and until the apocalypse, as it was in the era of bliss and after, with the substitution of prophetic principles. It is an undeniable fact that the prophet Muḥammad had an extraordinary success in being emblazoned and elevating the society he lived in, individually and socially, in many political areas, especially in the Battle of Badr and the Hudaybiya Treaty. The fact that his achievements never distract him from his main goal, his life centered on oneness, and that he maintains the quality of a "servant who gives thanks to his God" at the end of the day, are the biggest indicators of his personal perfection and being the addressee of revelation. The most important motive that led Western scientists like John William Draper (d. 1882) to make such statements is undoubtedly that unique transforming ability of the prophet Muḥammad we mentioned: “Of all men, the person who had the most influence on the human race is the person born in Mecca, Arabia, four years after the death of Justinian. Being the spiritual and religious leader of many empires, directing the daily life of one-third of the human race, is perhaps the proof that the title of 'Messenger of God' is real.” This article titled "The Prophet's Ability to Transform People as an Example of a Miracle", aims to reveal ability of the Last Messenger, who has vital importance for the rise and exaltation of the Muslim society on its own axis, and who is extremely valuable and guiding in terms of directing the philosophy of life of today's people, to transform society and humanity within the framework of his identity as the addressee of revelation and his tawḥīd-oriented life.

Both philosophers and theologians have addressed this problem from different perspectives and have discussed it among themselves. These discussions have produced some evidence and criticisms about mental existence in terms of acceptance and rejection. In these discussions, which are also associated with different issues, the use of information about maʿdūm, particularly as evidence of mental existence, also helped pinpoint the place of the knowledge about maʿdūm. The fact that maʿdūm is the subject of knowledge is often a matter of consensus among theologians if some exceptions are disregarded. Particularly due to the extension of the subject of kalām to the known, it is a matter accepted by the scholars that maʿdūm can be known, whether it is mumkin (possible) or mumtani‘ (impossible). Therefore, the issue of where the information about it is located has emerged as an extension of the discussions on mental existence. In this context, in terms of epistemological theories they adopted, both theologians and philosophers have questioned the epistemological and ontological location of the knowledge of such concepts as ma'dūm, which hardly exist in the objective world but can be reasoned out or judged or imagined, and they have tried to determine the place of this knowledge. As a result of this effort, they have recognized that the place of knowledge about maʿdūm can be explained in two ways: the mind and outside world. In response to theologians, who claimed that the place of knowledge about maʿdūm is the mind, it has been claimed that the place of this knowledge is not the mind but the outside world. No consensus has been reached among those who claimed that the information was outside; some claimed that this information was in Plato's ideas, while others claimed that it was in the active mind. On the other hand, there has been no disagreement among those who considered the place of knowledge about maʿdūm as the mind. Based on this perspective, the present study tried to identify the place of information about maʿdūm, with a particular reference to the later kalām period, based on the evidence put forward to prove mental existence and the criticisms against such evidence. As a part of these discussions, the disputing parties were specified and the criticisms of the opponents towards each other were also included. This is because the nature of these criticisms is crucial as such criticisms are capable of revealing the opinions of those who have opposing views about the place of knowledge of maʿdūm. The scope of the present study was limited to Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī and some later theologians as it was al-Rāzī, who brought mental existence up for discussion as a specific point of debate. Therefore, in the present study, the famous theological texts that are highly representative of mental existence in the late kalām period and prominent commentaries written on these basic texts were preferred., Zihnî varlık problemi ontolojik ve epistemolojik yönleriyle birçok konuyla ilişkili olan çok boyutlu bir meseledir. Hem filozoflar hem de kelâmcılar problemi farklı yönleriyle ele almışlar ve aralarında tartışmışlardır. Bu tartışmalar kabul ve ret sadedinde zihnî varlıkla ilgili birtakım delillerin ve eleştirilerin ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Farklı konularla da ilişkilendirilen bu tartışmalar içerisinde özellikle ma‘dûmlara ilişkin bilginin zihnî varlığın ispatında kullanılması aynı zamanda ma‘dûma dair bilginin yerini tespit etmeye imkân vermiştir. Zira ma‘dûmun bilgiye konu olması bazı istisnalar hariç tutulacak olursa genel olarak kelâmcılar tarafından ittifak edilen bir husustur. Özellikle kelamın konusunun bilinenlere hasredilmesiyle beraber gelen süreç içerisinde mümkün olsun mümteni‘ olsun ma‘dûmların bilinebileceği âlimler tarafından kabul edilen bir husustur. Dolayısıyla ona dair bilginin nerede yer aldığı meselesi zihnî varlık tartışmalarının bir uzantısı olarak ortaya çıkmış olmaktadır. Bu bağlamda hem kelâmcılar hem de filozoflar benimsedikleri bilgi teorileri açısından ma‘dûm gibi nesnel dünyada olmayan ancak akledilebilen ya da hakkında yargıda bulunabilen veyahut tasavvur edilebilen bu kavramlara dair bilginin epistemolojik ve ontolojik olarak nerede olduğunu sorgulamışlar ve bu bilginin yerini belirlemeye çalışmışlardır. Bu çaba neticesinde ma‘dûmla ilgili bilginin yerinin zihin ve hâriç olmak üzere iki şekilde açıklandığı görülmüştür. Nesnel bir karşılığının olmaması sebebiyle ma‘dûmla ilgili bilgilerin yerinin zihin olduğunu iddia eden kelâmcılara karşılık olarak bu bilginin yerinin zihin değil dış dünya olduğu iddia edilmiştir. Onunla ilgili bilginin hâriçte olduğunu iddia edenler arasında da bir ittifak sağlanamamış, kimisi bu bilginin Eflâtûn’un idelerinde kimisi de faal akılda olduğunu iddia etmiştir. Ma‘dûma dair bilginin yerini zihne bağlayanlar arasında ise herhangi bir ihtilaf yaşanmamıştır. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmada esasen zihnî varlığın ispatı için ileri sürülen deliller ve bu delillere yönelik eleştirilerden yola çıkarak ma‘dûma dair bilginin yeri müteahhir dönem kelâmı açısından tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu tartışmalar çerçevesinde taraflar belirtilerek muhaliflerin birbirlerine yönelik eleştirilerine de yer verilmiştir. Çünkü bu eleştirilerin mahiyeti, karşıt görüşte olanların ma‘dûma dair bilginin yeri hakkındaki düşüncelerini ortaya koyma açısından önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmanın kapsamı, zihnî varlığa dair tartışmaların müstakil bir başlık olarak Fahreddîn er-Râzî tarafından ortaya konulmasından hareketle Râzî ve sonrası bazı müteahhir dönem kelâmcıları ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Buna binaen çalışmada müteahhir dönem içerisinde söz konusu meseleye yer veren temsil gücü yüksek ve şöhret bulmuş temel kelâm metinleri ve bu temel metinlere yazılan öne çıkmış şerhler tercih edilmiştir.

Bu ilkeler altında bulunmakla birlikte es-Siyâbî’nin hürriyetlere saygılı davranmak ve farklı görüşleri kıyaslayarak onların en güzelini seçip uymak için dinlemek, zorbalıktan kaçınmak, bilgi edinmede, fikirlerin değiştirilmesinde toplumsal ve insani konularda işbirliğine ihtimam göstermek, farklı görüşleri kıyaslayarak onların en güzelini seçip uymak, gönüllere seslenme ve bir başka insana öfkeyi çirkin görmekle birlik olmayı ahlâkî bir ihtiyaç görmesi özünde büyük bir değişimi göstermektedir. Kapalı bir toplum olmanın yanı sıra toplumsal yapıyı korumak için çok sert kurallar uygulayan bir toplum ve inancın bu değişimi yakalama çabası önem arz etmektedir. Bu bakış açısı geçmişi değerlendirmeyi de yumuşatmış ve günümüzde diğer toplumlarla kendi ilkelerini ve değerlerini hassasiyetle koruyarak yakınlaşmayı sağlayabilme ümidini artırmıştır. Mezhepleri farklı olsa da her müslümânın cenazesinin kılınmasını caiz görmek ve ehli kıbleden hiçbir kimsenin lanetlenmesini helâl ve câiz görmemek, Allah’ı birleyenin kanı, malı ve ırzına saldırıyı haram kabul ederek Allah tüm Müslümânlar arasında kardeşlik ve yardımlaşmayı zorunlu yapmasını esas kabul etmek çıkış noktasından günümüze yansıyan değişimi göstermektedir. es-Siyâbî’nin ilkeler geliştirmesi hem Müslümân toplumlarla hem de dünya halklarıyla birlikte yaşama için niyet ve çabalarının olduğunu göstermektedir. es-Siyâbî’nin ehl-i kıbleden hiçbir kimsenin lanetlenmesini helâl ve câiz görmemesi bunun en kuvvetli işaretidir.

İktisat, metafizik kavramlardan arınmış bir şekilde ekonomiye dair analizlerini piyasa üzerinden oluşturur. Günümüzde İktisat düşünürlerinin metafizik alandan etkilenmemesinin bir sebebi; İlahiyat alanının bilim dalı olmamasıdır. Nitekim dinî ilimler, bu dünya ile öteki dünya irtibatını kurarak manevî hayatımızı şekillendirirken iktisat ise, bu dünyadaki yaşamı yani maddi hayattan verileri işlemektedir. Bu iki ayrı uç olarak görülen alanlar, son yıllarda bir araya getirilerek çalışmalara konu olmaktadır. Bizim de bu çalışmamız “Fiyatları belirleyen Allah’tır.” hadisi nokta-i nazarından ilerleyecektir. İslam hukuku, hadis ve tasavvuf gibi İslamî ilimlerin de içeriğinde iktisadî mevzular bulunmakla birlikte Kelâm ilmi mevzuyu irade, kaza, kader ve kulların fiilleri gibi başlıklar altında değerlendirmeye alır. Bu başlıklara özelde girilmeksizin ele alınacak olan Kelâm ilminde fiyatlar bahsi, Eş‘arî ve Mu‘tezile mezheplerinin belirttiği yorumlar üzerinden ilerleyecektir. Belirtilen hadis üzerinden hareketle konumuz Eş‘arî mezhebi alimlerinden Bâkıllânî, İbn Fûrek, Cüveynî, Âmidî, Teftâzânî ve Cürcânî’nin görüşleri üzerinde işlenirken; Mu‘tezilî alimlerden sadece Kâdî Abdülcebbâr’ın fiyatlar bahsindeki görüşleri üzerinde işlenmiştir.

Çalışmamızın konusunu teşkil eden Tâhir el-Cezâirî, Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminde Suriye bölgesinde yaşamış, ıslahatçı fikirleriyle temayüz etmiş bir âlimdir. Cezâirî’nin ıslahat düşüncesine yönelmesinin en önemli sebebi Müslümanların batı medeniyetinin gerisinde kalması yer almaktadır. Müslümanların yeniden ayağa kalkması için öncelikle onları geride bırakan sorunlarla yüzleşmeye ardından yeniden yükselişe geçmenin anahtarı olarak gördüğü ıslahat metoduna davet etmiştir. Onun pek çok eseri yeni açılan modern okullarda okutulmuştur. Cezâirî bu eserleri yeni bir öğretim metodu ile kaleme almış böylelikle öğrencilerin eğitim sürecinde karşılaştıkları zorluklar yeni yöntemler kullanılarak aşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Onun kelam alanında yazdığı iki eseri bulunmaktadır. Bunlardan ilki Suriye’de iken yazdığı El-Cevâhirü’l-Kelamiyye ve Mısır’daki hicret yıllarında telif ettiği El-Cevheret'ü fi-Kava’idi’l-Akaid adlı eserlerdir. Onun eserleri klasik akaid metinlerinden farklı olarak birtakım yeni metodlar içermektedir. O, bu yöntemlerle itikadi meselelerin kolayca kavranabileceğini öngörmüştür. Cezâirî’nin akide metodunu incelediğimizde temel anlayışının Selef âlimlerini takip etme, itikadi konuları tartışmalardan uzak yalın bir dille okuyucuya aktarma, kelimelerin çokluğundan ziyade anlam yoğunluğuna önem verme ve açıklayıcı misaller verme gibi birtakım temel metotları tercih ettiği görülmektedir. Bu nedenle çalışmamızda müellifin itikadi konuların aktarımında takip ettiği bu metot ve yöntemler tespit edilerek ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır., The subject of our study was Tahir al-Jazairi. He is a scholar who lived in the Strian region in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and was Distinguished by his reformist ideas. The most important reason why al-Jazairi turned to the idea of reform is that Muslims lag behind western civilization. In order for Muslims to rise again, they must first face the problems that left them behind. Also, the key to re-ascension is the method of reform. Many of his works were taught in newly opened modern schools. al-Jazairi wrote these works with a new teaching method. Thus, al-Jazari by using new methods, he enabled students to overcome the difficulties they encountered in the education process. He has two works written in the field of kalam. The first of these is El-Cevâhirü'l-Kelamiyye, which he wrote while he was in Syria, and El-Cevheret'ü fi-Kava'idi'l-Akaid, which he wrote during the hijra years in Egypt. His works include some new methods different from the classical akaid texts. He predicted that with these methods, theological issues can be grasped easily. When we examined al-Jazairi's method of creed, he followed the Salaf scholars of his basic understanding. He conveys the issues of creed to the reader in a plain language that is far from discussions. It is seen that he prefers some basic methods such as giving importance to the density of meaning rather than the plurality of words and giving explanatory examples. For this reason, in our study, these methods that the author followed in the transfer of theological issues were determined.

İslam düşünce tarihinin en önemli simalarından biri olan İmam Mâtürîdî’nin başta şahsı olmak üzere, yetiştiği ilmî çevre, hocaları ve öğrencileri, mensup olduğu “gelenek” ve de İslam dünyasında pek çok Müslümanın mensubu olduğu bir mezhep olarak Mâtürîdîlik hakkında bilgilerimiz yakın geçmişe kadar oldukça sınırlıydı diyebiliriz. Fakat son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalarla birlikte bu eksiklik giderilmeye başlanmıştır. Sıddık Korkmaz’ın “İmam Mâtürîdî ve Mezhep Eleştirileri” isimli eseri de bu gaye ile kaleme alınmıştır. Bu çalışma da “İmam Mâtürîdî ve Mezhep Eleştirileri” adlı kitabın tanıtımı için yazılmıştır.

The incapacitation power(ijaz) of Qur’an” is a composition formed by the concept “ijaz” (the power to incapacitate), which derives from the same root as "mujiza" (miracle), with the word "Qur'an This compounded concept is used to express that divine discourse cannot be replicated because of its literary contextual mastery and richness of meaning. The incapacitation power of Qur’an, which is used by many different scholarly disciplines, is regarded as a miracle in Kalam in order to confirm that Qur’an is Allah’s discourse and also to prove that the prophethood of the prophet who brought it is real. The proof of prophethood was generally made through miracles. Since the Qur'an was accepted as a mental miracle by theologians, it played a leading role in proving the prophethood of the Prophet Muhammad. Therefore, although there are disputes on the aspects of its inimitability (the incapacitation power to prevent imitation), the view of Qur’an as a miracle is accepted with a consensus. Kamalpashazadeh who is an Ottoman Kalam scholar, directly examined the incapacitation power of Qur’an in his books, I’jaz al-Quran (The incapacitation power of Qur’an) and Kalamullah al-Qadim (Allah’s Primeval Discourse) and made indirect references to the topic in his other risalas (epistles). Various issues of i'jaz are explained in the epistle of Kalamullah al-Qadim (Allah’s Primeval Discourse) , which is the basis of this study; In this way, the tahaddi aspect of the Qur'an(The challenge for nonbelievers to bring a similar work to Qur’an) is emphasized, and it is stated that angels are included in the tahaddi as well as humans and jinn. SayyidSharifal-Jurjaniand Sa'ad al-Din al-Taftazani were the most frequently cited theologians by the author of the epistle, İ'câzu'l-Kur'ân, "mu'cize" ile aynı kökten türemiş olan "i'caz" kavramının, "Kur'ân" kelimesiyle oluşturduğu bir terkiptir. Kavram, ilâhî kelâmın sahip olduğu lafzındaki edebî üstünlük ve manasındaki zenginlik dolayısıyla benzerinin meydana getirilemeyeceğini ifade etmek için kullanılmaktadır. Birçok ilmi disiplin tarafından kullanılan İ’câzü’l-Kur’ân, kelâmda Kur’ân’ın, Allah kelâmı olduğunu tasdik etmek, onu getiren peygamberin nübüvvetinin gerçek olduğunu ispat etmek gayesine matuf olarak mûcize kapsamında ele alınmaktadır. Nübüvvetin ispatı genel olarak mûcizeler üzerinden yapılmıştır. Kur’ân, kelâmcılar tarafından aklî mûcize kabul edilerek Hz. Muhammed’in nübüvvetini ispat etme noktasında başat rol oynamıştır. Bu nedenle her ne kadar i’câzın vecihleri konusunda ihtilaf vâki olsa da Kur’ân’ın mûciz bir kitap olduğu ittifaklakabul görmüştür.Bir Osmanlı kelâmcısı olan Kemâlpaşazâde, İ’câzü’l-Kur’ân meselesini, İ’câzü’l-Kur’ân ve Kelâmullâhi’l-kadîm isimli eserleriyle doğrudan değerlendirmeye tabi tutmuş,diğer risâleleriyle dekonuya dolaylı olarak atıfta bulunmuştur. Yaptığımız bu çalışmaya esas olan Kelâmullâhi’l-kadîm risalesinde i’câzın çeşitli meseleleri anlatılmış; bu minvalde Kur’ân’ın tehaddî yönü öne çıkarılmış, tehaddîye insanlar ve cinlerin yanında meleklerin de dâhil olduğu ifade edilmiştir. Risâlede müellifin en çok atıfta bulunduğu kelâmcılar Seyyid Şerif Cürcânî ve Sa’düddîn Teftazânî olmuştur.

The modern Western thought's constructing a new knowledge and philosophy of being after interpreting its own tradition with a critical language laid the groundwork for the search for innovation in the Islamic geography. These searches brought up the attempt to create a new theological language and understanding based on Imam Maturidi (d. 333/944) and Māturīdism, and this has led to the emergence of a considerable literature in the last period. The study of Osman Nuri Demir's doctoral thesis titled Human Imagination in Mâturîdî, which he completed in 2019, was revised and published in 2020 with the same name, with partial savings, is one of the latest examples of this literature. The work deserves to be examined because it tries to create a new theological understanding through Mâturîdism. Here, the scope and framework Demir has determined in his work, the consistency of the claims he has put forward, and the adequacy of the results will be evaluated., Modern Batı düşüncesinin kendi geleneğini eleştirel bir dille yorumladıktan sonra yeni bir bilgi ve varlık felsefesi inşa etmesi İslam coğrafyasında da yenilik arayışlarının başlamasına zemin teşkil etmiştir. Burada, Demir’in eserinde belirlediği kapsam ve çerçeve, öne sürdüğü iddiaların tutarlılığı ve ulaşılan sonuçların yeterliliği değerlendirilecektir.

The word of shafa’ah (intercession) is mentioned thirty one times in nineteen suras in the Qur’an. It means to be an intermediary, to help, to be an occasion, and one single thing’s becoming a pair in the dictionary. As a term it is the Prophet Muhammad’s praying to, pleading with Allah and helping for the sinner momins (muslims, believers) to be forgiven and for the degree of the sinless ones to be raised in the akhirah (afterlife). The verses where shafa’ah is mentioned are classified as one part implying that there is no shafa’ah and one other part with the meaning that there may be shafa’ah if Allah wants. Based on the relevant verses, some sects or aleems (scholars), or researchers studying in different fields like tafsir and kalam reach different results. When the subject is examined putting aside all preliminary acceptance, considering the deliver process of the wahy (revelation) and within the framework of siyak sibak relationship in the context of the Makkan and Madinan verses and by prioritizing the tafsir of the Qur’an with the Qur’an, the conclusion that shafa’ah belongs only to Allah seems more reasonable. The main purpose of the study is determining that the concept which started to be discussed in the I. Hijri century had become a term of kalam by the II. Hijri century., Şefaat kelimesi Kur’an’da on dokuz surede otuz bir defa geçmektedir. Lügatte “aracı olmak, yardımcı olmak, vesile olmak, tek olan bir şeyin çift olması” gibi anlamlara gelmektedir. Peygamber’in Allah katında dua etmesi, yalvarması ve onlara yardımcı olmasıdır.” Kur’an’da şefaatin yer aldığı ayetler, bir kısmı şefaatin olmadığı bir kısmı ise Allah’ın dilemesiyle şefaatin olacağı şeklinde tasnif edilmektedir. İlgili ayetlere dayanarak bazı mezhep ya da âlimler ile yine tefsir ve kelam gibi farklı alanlarda çalışma yapan araştırmacılar farklı sonuçlara ulaşmaktadırlar. Konuyu, bütün ön kabulleri bir kenara bırakıp vahyin nüzul sürecini dikkate alarak mekki-medeni ayetler bağlamında siyak-sibak ilişkisi ve Kur’an’ın Kur’an ile tefsirini öncelemek suretiyle incelediğimiz zaman şefaatin sadece Allah’a ait olduğu sonucunun daha makul olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmada asıl maksat hicri I. yy.’da tartışılmaya başlanan kavramın hicri II. yy.’a ulaşıldığında artık kelami bir terim halini aldığının tespit edilmesidir.

The sermon, which is one of the most functional means of contacting society and directing the consciousness of the masses is delivered at the basis of texts that contain information about Islamic Sciences such as Theology, Fiqh, and Tafsir, as well as mawiza-type narratives. In this regard, the sermons and the texts they produce are not copyrights in which people are distracted by stories and neutered with superstitions. But masterpieces that shape the imagination of society within the framework of authentic religious belief, taking account into the religious, economic, social and cultural problems of the time in which they were written. This study analyses the work titled Tafjir al-tasnim fi qalb al-salim which consists of the sermons of Eginli Rahmi Efendi (d.1327/1909), one of the preachers of the 19th century in Istanbul. In this respect, the study concludes that Eğinli explained the essential theological principles from the pulpit to the followers of the Ottoman Muslim community who faced modern thought., Topluma temas edebilmenin ve kitlelerin bilincini yönlendirebilmenin en işlevsel araçlarından biri olan vaazlar, bünyesinde mev'iza türü anlatıların yanı sıra İslâmî ilimlerin kelâm, fıkıh, tefsir gibi sahalarına dair bilgiler ihtiva eden metinlere dayanılarak icra edilmektedir. Bu yönüyle vaazlar ve kendilerine kaynaklık eden metinler, bazı kanıların aksine halkın birtakım hikayelerle oyalandırıldığı, hurafelerle zihinlerinin iğdiş edildiği telifler değil, yazıldığı dönemin dini, iktisadi, içtimâi ve kültürel problemlerinin göz önünde bulundurulmasıyla kaleme alınıp, cemiyetin tasavvurunu sahih din inancı çerçevesinde şekillendiren başyapıtlardır. Bu çalışma 19. asır İstanbul vâizlerinden Eğinli Rahmi Efendi'nin (ö.1327/1909) vaazlarından müteşekkil Tefcîru't-tesnîm fî kalbin selîm isimli eserinin analizini konu edinmiştir. Bu minvalde Eğinli’nin modern düşünce ile yüzleşen Osmanlı Müslüman toplumunun müntesiplerine, bilmeleri zaruri olan kelâmi esasları vaaz kürsüsünden açıkladığı tespit edilmiştir.

Bu çalışmada Yaşar Ünal'ın Cahiliye Değer Yargılarının Teolojik ve Ahlaki Düzeyde Dönüşümü isimli eseri konu edilmektedir. Eser, nüzul ortamında Arap toplumunun teolojik-ahlaki zihin yapısını inceleyip, ilahi vahyin bu yapıyı nasıl dönüştürdüğünü irdelemiştir. Arap Cahiliye zihniyeti incelenirken İslam öncesi Cahiliye dönemi ele alınmıştır. Değer ve değişim kavramlarının ne tür anlamlar taşıdığı tespit edildikten sonra Cahiliye değerlerinin neler olduğu, bu değerlerin problemli olup olmadığı bir bir sıralanmıştır. Eserin son bölümünde, Kuran'ın Cahiliye değerlerini epistemolojik, teolojik ve ahlaki düzeyde nasıl dönüştürdüğü incelenmiştir., In this study, Yaşar ÜNAL's work named Transformation of Jahiliyyah Value Judgments is discussed. The work examines the theological-moral mentality of the Arab society in the environment of its revelation, and examines how divine revelation transformed this structure. While examining the Arab jahiliyyah mentality, the pre-Islamic jahiliyyah period is discussed. After determining what kind of meanings the concepts of value and change have, what the values of jahiliyyeh are and whether these values are problematic or not are listed one by one. In the last part of the work, how the Qur'an transforms the values of jahiliyyah on an epistemological, theological and moral level is examined.

Islamic legal thought was formed by the combination of both kalam and jurisprudence. Scholars assume that both disciplines are interdependent. For them, the reason why kalam and jurisprudence are interdependent is that the main purpose of both disciplines is to justify religion. Many topics will become meaningless if one does not take this into account. In the period of mutaqaddimūn, the purpose of proceduralist was not only to deduce the decree from the nass, but to prove its credibility first. For this purpose, sects have built a theory of judgment with an epistemological basis in accordance with the ontological structure they have adopted in kalam. With the theory of husn-qubh especially, the decrees were associated with an ontological structure and an epistemological basis was formed in which this principle could be placed. The basis of this structure is the classification of obligatory, possible, and impossible. This structure makes it possible to understand the pre-shar' rules within reason and to measure the rationality of the post-shar' rules. This method became identified with the Muʿtazila in time. This study tries to explain that the classification of existence as obligatory, possible and impossible is an important criterion in the comprehension of decrees. In this context, we will discuss the views of the early Ahl al-Raʾy and Ashʿarīs about the status of reason in the face of revelation, and we will examine the debate on reason’s comprehension of religious decrees on a different plane., İslam hukuk düşüncesi kelam ve fıkıh usulünün birleşimiyle meydana gelmiştir. Erken dönem fıkıh ve kelam alanına dair eser telif eden İslam bilginleri her iki disiplinin birbirine bağımlı olduklarını varsayarak meseleleri ele almışlardır. Onlara göre kelam ilmi ile fıkıh usulü ilminin birbirine bu kadar bağımlı olmasının sebebi her iki disiplinin temel amacının dini temellendirmek olmasıdır. Kişi bir usul eserini ele alırken bu faktörü göz önünde bulundurmazsa birçok tartışma konusu anlamsızlaşacaktır. Nitekim semereci yaklaşımla usul meselelerini ele almaya çalışan birçok araştırmacı erken dönemde yapılan tartışmaları lafzî bir boyuta indirgemiştir. Halbuki bu dönemde usulcünün amacı sadece nastan hüküm istinbat etmek değil, öncelikle nassın inanılabilirliğini ispat etmektir. Bu gayeyle mezhepler kelam ilminde benimsemiş oldukları ontolojik yapıya uygun bir epistemolojik temelle hüküm teorisi inşa etmiştir. Ehl-i Rey tarafından ilke haline getirilen hüsün-kubuh teorisi ile hükümler ontolojik bir yapıyla ilişkilendirilmiş ve usulde bu ilkenin içine yerleştirilebileceği epistemolojik bir temel oluşturulmuştur. Bu yapının temelinde vacip, mümkün ve mümteniʿ tasnifi bulunur. Bu sayede hükümleri tasnif edebilen Ehl-i Rey (Mu‘tezile, Hanefîler ve Zeydîler) şerʿ öncesi ahkamın akılla idrak edilmesini ve şerʿ sonrası ahkamın akla uygunluğunun ölçülmesini mümkün kılmaktadır. Ahkamın akla uygunluğunu bu cihetle değerlendiren erken dönem usulcüleri arasında Ehl-i Rey’den alimler olsa da bu durum zamanla Muʿtezile’yle özdeşleşmiştir. Eşyanın ontolojik yapısını ahkamın idrakinde önemli bir kriter olarak görenler bu bakış açısıyla aklî ve şerʿî hüküm tasnifine girişmiştir. Çalışmamızda eşyanın hakikatinin akılla vacip, mümkün ve mümteniʿ olarak tasnif edilmesinin hükümlerin idrakinde önemli bir kriter olduğu anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda erken dönem Ehl-i Rey ve Eşʿarîlerin aklın vahiy karşısındaki durumu ile ilgili görüşlerini ele alacağız ve aklın hükümleri idraki hususunda gerçekleşen ihtilafı farklı bir düzlemde inceleyeceğiz.

Son dönem Mutezilesi'nin iki ekolünden biri olan Hüseyniyye'nin, kurucusu Ebü'l-Hüseyin el-Basrî'den sonraki en büyük temsilcisi İbnü'l-Melâhimîdir. Mutezile kelâmının temel esaslarından biri olan adalet ilkesi, genel anlamıyla Allah-âlem ilişkisini ifade eder. Bu ilke kapsamında ele alınan konular Allah'ın asla kabihi işlemeyeceği, kendi üzerine vacip olanı ihlâl etmeyeceği ve Allah'ın bütün fiillerinin hasen olduğu hususlarını ispat etmeye yöneliktir. Bu çalışmada İbnü'l-Melâhimî'nin kelâm sisteminde adalet ilkesine dair konular hakkındaki görüşleri, onun kelâm eserleri detaylı bir incelemeye tabi tutularak ortaya konulmuştur. Behşemî kaynaklardan kıyaslama yapmak amacıyla, diğer Hüseynî ve Şiî-Mutezilî kaynaklardan konuyu anlamaya yardımcı olması amacıyla yararlanılmıştır. İbnü'l-Melâhimî'nin husün-kubuh, Allah-kabih ilişkisi, insan fiilleri, teklîf, lütuf, aslah, elem ve ivaz konularındaki görüşleri kendisinden önceki Mutezilî gelenekle kıyaslanarak aktarılmıştır. İbnü'l-Melâhimî fiilin oluşumunda motiv ve iradenin aynı şey olduğu, Allah'ın kabihe kâdir olmakla birlikte kabihi işlemesinin imkânsız olduğu, insanın fiillerinin yaratıcısı olduğu bilgisinin zaruri bilgi olduğu, fiili meydana getiren kudretin özel bünye olduğu, bir makdûrun iki kâdirin kudreti altında olabileceği, kudretlerin birbiriyle benzer olduğu, dünyevî konularda aslahın vacip olduğu, kulun zalimden alması gereken ivazı Allah'ın tefaddül olarak verebileceği, gayr-i âkil kimselerin verdiği elemlerin ivazını Allah'ın vereceği gibi görüşleriyle Behşemiyye'den farklılaşmıştır. Bu bağlamda İbnü'l-Melâhimî'nin mensubu olduğu Hüseyniyye ekolünün, Behşemiyye'den adalet düşüncesi bağlamındaki farkları da ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışma İbnü'l-Melâhimî'nin adalet düşüncesini ortaya koymasının yanında İbnü'l-Melâhimî üzerinden Hüseyniyye'nin adalete dair görüşlerini ve bu konularda Behşemiyye ve Hüseyniyye'nin ayrıştığı noktaları tespit etmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma son dönem Mutezilesi içerisindeki ihtilafın içeriğine dair önemli tespitler sunmaktadır. The greatest representative of Husayniyya, one of the two schools of the late Mutazila, after its founder Abū l-Husayn al-Basrī, is Ibn al-Malāhimī. The principle of justice, which is one of the basic principles of Mutazilī theology, expresses the relationship between Allah and the world in general. The topics covered within the scope of this principle are aimed at proving that God will never commit evil, that He will not violate what is obligatory for Him, and that all of Allah's actions are good. In this study, Ibn al-Malāhimī's views on the principle of justice in the kalam system are revealed by subjecting his kalam works to a detailed examination. Whereas the Bahshamī sources were referred to make comparisons, other Husaynī and Shīī-Mutazilī sources were used to help understand the subject. Ibn al-Malāhimī's views on ḥusn-qubḥ, God's relation with evil acts (qabīḥ), human actions, offer, grace (luṭf), the best interest of man (aṣlaḥ), pain and the divine compensation (ʿiważ) were compared with the Muʿtazilī tradition before him. Ibn al-Malāhimī differed from Bahshamiyya in his approach to some aspects of these issues. He argues, for example, that the will and motive is identical in terms of occurrence of the acts, that God is capable of doing evil acts (qabīḥ) even if it could not actually occur, that the knowledge of the human's being producer of his acts is a neccesary one, that the power (qudra) which produces the act is the special body (binya makhṣūṣa), that a single act could be subject to the power of two capable agents, that the powers are alike to each other (mutamāthil), that it is obligatory for God to perform/create the best in worldly matters, that it is possible for God to provide compensation (ʿiważ) as favour (tafaḍḍul), and that God provides the compensation for the pains which stem from non-rational beings such as children, mads and non-human earthly animals. In this context, the differences of the Husayniyya school, of which Ibn al-Malāhimī is a member, from Bahshamiyya, in the context of the idea of justice have also emerged. This study, besides revealing Ibn al-Malāhimī's idea of justice, also determines Husayniyya's views on justice through Ibn al-Malāhimī and the points where Bahshamiyya and Husayniyya differ in these issues. Therefore, this study presents important determinations about the content of the conflict in the late Mutazila.

Akıl ve vahiy insanlığa yol gösteren iki önemli rehberdir. İnsanlık ancak bu iki rehber sayesinde doğru yolu bulabilir. Fetânet ise işlevsel aklın zirve noktasıdır ki, bu durum peygamberlere verilmiş özel bir vasıftır. Bu vasıf, aynı zamanda aklı yerinde ve zamanında en iyi şekilde kullanma yetkinliğine sahip olma demektir. Bu, tek başına büyük bir değer ve ayrıcalık oluşturan bir sıfattır. Bu değer ve vasıf, peygamberlerin beşerî yönünü yansıtmakla birlikte vahye muhatap olmalarını sağlayan çok önemli bir özelliktir. Peygamberler bu özelliği ile bir taraftan vahye muhatap olup onu anlamaya ve uygulamaya çalışırlarken, diğer taraftan vahyin gelmediği durumlarda içtihat yaparak, gerektiğinde ortak akla başvurarak toplumdaki problemleri çözmektedirler. Bu durum onları başkalarına üstün kılan çok büyük bir güç oluşturmaktadır. Bilindiği gibi herkesin aklî melekesi farklı düzeydedir. Bu nedenle herkeste derecesine göre akıl bulunsa da fetânet sıfatı bulunmayabilir. Çünkü akıl, anlama, kavrama, düşünme ve muhakeme gücü anlamına gelirken, fetânette ise bunların yanı sıra olayları çok yönlü olarak görüp derinlemesine analiz yapacak bir güç manası vardır. Peygamberlerde bulunan fetânet sıfatına örnek olmak üzere Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v) ve Hz. İbrahim’in (a.s) fetânetlerine kısaca temas etmekle yetineceğiz. Çünkü bunlarda olan vasıflar diğer peygamberlerde de bulunmaktadır. Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v), içinde yaşadığı şirk toplumunda tevhid mücadelesi vermiş, söz konusu toplumu dönüştürebilmek için vahyin desteğindeakıl, mantık ve muhakemeyle hareket ederek onları ıslah etmiş, bu mücadele sonunda 23 yıl gibi kısa bir zaman diliminde imanlı, ibadetli ve ahlaklı bir toplum meydana getirmeyi başarabilmiştir. Gerek Mekke gerekse Medine dönemlerinde halkın problemlerinin çözüm mercii olması ve bunda da muvaffak olup herkesin problemlerine çözüm bulması, onun İlahî desteğin yanındafetânet sıfatının bir göstergesi olarak dakabul edilmelidir. Peygamberlerin atası olarak kabul edilen Hz. İbrahim’in (a.s) hayatına baktığımızda onda fetânet sıfatı çok bariz bir şekilde görülmektedir. Şöyle ki Hz. İbrahim’in, babası Azer ile tartışmalarında “putların cansız, hiç kimseye zararı ve faydası dokunmayan nesneler olduklarını ve yaratmada hiçbir fonksiyonlarının bulunmadığını” nazara vererek onun düşünmesini istemesi; puthanedeki putları balta ile kırıp baltayı büyük putun boynuna asması ve bu vesile ile puta tapan ahalinin akıllarını çalıştırarak düşünmelerini sağlaması, onun fetânetine en güzel bir örnektir.Konusu aklı yerinde ve zamanında kullanma perspektifinde fetânet sıfatı olan bu makalenin amacı, vahyin desteğinde insanlara örnek olma noktasında peygamberlerde bulunan bu sıfatın önemine vurgu yapmaktır.Bunu yaparken konunun daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için akıl-vahiy ve akıl-fetânet ilişkisine temas eden bir yöntem takip edilmiştir., Reason and revelation are two important guides for humanity. People can find the right path only thanks to these two guides. Fatānah is the peak of functional intelligence, which is a special attribute given to prophets. At the same time, this attribute is the ability and competence to use reason in the best way. Needless to say, this attribute comes along with great values and privileges. This prophetic attribute not only reflects the human aspect of the prophets but also points to a qualification through which they receive revelation. Through this feature, prophets, on the one hand, try to understand revelation and apply it. On the other hand, they solve the problems in their community by practicing ijtihād in cases where revelation has not come. This creates a great power that makes them superior to others. As it is known, everyone’s mental faculties are different. Although people are given intelligence according to their degree, they are not given the attribute of fatānah. At this point, reason means the power of understanding, comprehension, thinking, and reasoning. Fatanāhis a superintelligence through which prophets can see events from multiple perspectives and analyze them in depth. We shall briefly mention the fatanāh of the Prophets Muhammad and Abraham as examples. The Prophet Muhammad fought for tawḥīd (God’s unity) in his polytheistic society. In order to transform the society in question, he reformed them by acting with reason, logic, and reasoning with the support of revelation. At the end of this struggle, he successfully transformed his community into a religious, theistic, and moral society in 23 years. He was the authority to solve the people's problems in both Mecca and Medina. He successfully found solutions to peoples’ problems. His success has been explained by the attribute of fatanāh, along with divine support. When we look at the life of Prophet Abraham, who is considered to be the ancestor of the prophets, the attribute of fatānahis clearly seen in his prophecy. That is to say, in his discussions with his father Āzar, Prophet Abraham wanted him to think that "idols are inanimate objects that do not harm or benefit anyone and have no function in creation." The best example of his superintelligence is that he broke the idols in the idol household with an axe and hung the axe around the neck of the big idol. On this occasion, he made idol-worshippers use their intellect. The subject of this article is to emphasize the importance of this attribute found in the prophets, along with the support of revelation, as an example for people. To better explain the subject, the paper also examines the intellect-revelation relationship and intellect-superintellect relationship.

İsbat-ı vacip konusu tarih boyunca pek çok farklı ekole sahip filozofların düşünce sisteminde önemli bir yer tutmuştur. Bu konuda ortaya konulan görüşler, düşünürlerin Tanrı tasavvurlarını ortaya koyduğu gibi onların varlık anlayışlarının ayırt edici özelliklerini de belirginleştirir. Diğer yönden bu konudaki görüşler filozofların düşünce sistemlerindeki merkezi konumları nedeniyle düşünce sisteminin bütünlüğüyle de doğrudan ilişkilidir. İbn Sînâ’nın ortaya koyduğu imkân delili de kendisinin bilgi ve varlık anlayışının billurlaştığı konulardan birisidir. Ayrıca, bu konuda kendisine yöneltilen eleştirilerin genel yapısı dikkate alındığında, bu delilin, kendisine eleştiri yönelten düşünürlerin varlık anlayışlarını belirginleştirmekte de önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Bu delil hakkında yapılan tartışmalar, felsefenin temel kavramları ve klasik mantığın tanım teorisi üzerinden gerçekleştirilmesi sebebiyle metafizik ve mantık ilminin birbiriyle ne kadar sıkı bir ilişkiye sahip olduğunu görmemize de imkân sağlamaktadır. Yine, İbn Sînâ’nın bu konuda ortaya koyduğu görüşler doğa bilimleri, mantık, matematik ve metafizik gibi felsefi ilimler arasındaki ilişkinin niteliğini ortaya koymak bakımından da son derece önemlidir. İbn Sînâ’nın imkân delilinin bir özelliği de onun ilimlerin sınırları ile ilgili görüşleriyle kopmaz bir irtibata sahip olmasıdır. Bu açıdan meşşâi felsefede insan için mümkün olan en yüksek kemal mertebesi olarak görülen filozof olma yolculuğunda insanın her bir ilimden ne beklemesi gerektiğini de ortaya koymaktadır. Çünkü klasik felsefede ilimler tasnifinden beklenen her ilmin başka ilimlerde incelenmeyen bir şeyi veya bir yönü incelemesidir. İlimlerin belli bir sırayla öğrenilmesi gerektiği düşünülmekte, her bir ilmin tahsiline başlandığında talebenin daha önce öğrenmediği bir şeyle veya öğrendiklerinin farklı bir yönüyle muhatap olduğu varsayılmaktadır., The problem of proving the Necessary Existent has had an important place in the thought system of philosophers in many different schools throughout history. The views put forward on this subject not only reveal the thinkers' conceptions of God but also highlight the distinctive features of their understanding of existence. On the other hand, the views on this subject are directly related to the integrity of the thought system due to the central position of the philosophers in the thought systems. The possibility argument put forward by Avicenna is one of the subjects in which his understanding of knowledge and existence crystallized. In addition, considering the general structure of the criticisms directed at him on this subject, it is seen that this evidence has an important effect on clarifying the understanding of the existence of the thinkers who criticize him. It is also possible for us to see how closely metaphysics and logic have a close relationship with each other via the discussions about this proof carried out through the basic concepts of philosophy and the definition theory of classical logic. Moreover, the views put forward by Avicenna on this subject are extremely important in terms of revealing the nature of the relationship between philosophical sciences such as natural sciences, logic, mathematics, and metaphysics. Another feature of Avicenna's possibility argument is that it has an inseparable connection with his views on the classification of sciences. In this respect, it also exposes what one should expect from each science in the journey of becoming a philosopher, which is seen as the highest level of perfection possible for a man in peripatetic philosophy. Because, in classical philosophy, what is expected from the classification of sciences is that every science examines something or an aspect of something that is not studied in other sciences. For this reason, it is thought that the sciences should be learned in a certain order, and it is assumed that the student is dealing with something he has not learned before or a different aspect of what he has learned when the education of each science begins.

Bu makalenin konusu, 18. yüzyılın ortalarında, o zamanlar Osmanlı Devleti yönetiminde olan Arabistan’ın Necd bölgesinde, Muhammed bin Abdülvehhâb’ın (öl. 1792) önderliğinde ortaya çıkan ve günümüzde Suûd Devleti’nin resmi mezhebi olan Vehhâbîlik hareketidir. Genel olarak Hanbelî ekolüne dayanan bu hareketin oluşumunda İbn Teymiyye (öl. 728/1328) ve İbn Kayyım el-Cevziyye (öl. 751/1350) gibi âlimlerin, selefin saf inancına dönme anlayışı oldukça etkili olmuştur. İbn Abdülvehhâb temel olarak tevhidi odak noktası yapmış, özellikle şirk ve bid‘at konularında oldukça katı görüşler ortaya koymuştur. İbn Abdülvehhâb görüşlerini yayarken, çeşitli bid‘atlarla bozulmuş dini temizleyerek aslına döndürme ve ihya etme iddiasında olduğunu savunmuştur. Fakat onun başlattığı bu hareketin Osmanlı karşıtı bir isyana dönüşmesi ve süreç içerisinde özelikle İngilizlerle kurulan ve günümüzde hala süren yakın ilişkilerin varlığı çeşitli tartışmaları beraberinde getirmiştir. Ayrıca Batılı birçok seyyah ve diplomatın bu hareketi “reformist”, “İslam Protestanları” gibi sempatik kavramlarla tanımlaması ve bu harekete tarihi süreç içerisinde verdikleri destekler tartışmaları derinleştirmiştir. Dolayısıyla dinî ihya iddiası taşıyan bu hareketin salt dini saikle mi yoksa siyasi gaye ile mi ortaya çıktığı hala tartışmalı bir konudur. Ancak ortaya çıkışından sonraki gelişmeler, bu hareketin dini referanslı politik bir hareket olduğunu göstermektedir. Vehhâbîlik temel olarak dindeki bid‘atlara karşı çıkmayı ve peygamber zamanındaki dini hayat tarzına dönüş düşüncesini esas alan fikirlerle ortaya çıkmıştır. Ancak kısa süre sonra Osmanlı Devleti’nin İslam dinini yorumlama ve yaşayış şekline itiraz ederek, kendisine siyasi müttefikler bulmuş ve onlarla birlikte silahlı mücadele yürüterek Osmanlı Devleti’nin Arap yarımadasındaki gücünü kırma gayesi gütmüştür. İbn Abdülvehhâb, bunu yaparken özellikle bid‘at, hurafe ve şirk kavramlarından hareketle katı yorumlar ortaya koymuş ve bunu kabul etmeyen kimselerin şirke düştüğünü, dinden çıktığını, dolayısıyla böyle kimselerin can ve mallarının helal olduğunu iddia etmiştir. Vehhâbîlik kendi görüşlerini kabul ettirmek için baskı, şiddet ve silahı bir yöntem olarak benimsemiştir. Yöntemindeki katılık nedeniyle ilk başlarda fazla taraftar bulamayan İbn Abdülvehhâb kendisine siyasi destek aramaya başlamış ve ilk önce Uyeyne emiri Osman’ı ikna etmiştir. Ancak gelen tepkiler üzerine kısa süre içeresinde bu desteği kaybetmiş ve bulunduğu bölgeden sürülmüştür. Bunun üzerine Riyad yakınlarındaki Dir‘iye kasabasına gelen İbn Abdülvehhâb, 1744 yılında oranın emiri Muhammed bin Suûd’u ikna ederek onunla tarihte Dir‘iye sözleşmesi olarak bilinen bir anlaşma yapmıştır. Böylece aradığı siyasi ve askeri desteği bulmuş olan Vehhâbîler, kısa süre içeresinde Osmanlı Devleti’nin İslam dinini yorumlama ve yaşayış şekline itiraz ederek isyana giriştiler. Vehhâbîlerin bu isyanı Osmanlı’nın dini ve siyasi bütünlüğünü bozmuş, Türk düşmanlığını içeren Arap milliyetçiliğinin doğuşunda etkili olmuş ve Osmanlı Devleti’nin yıkılışını hızlandırmıştır. Bu durum 400 yıl Türk hâkimiyetinde kalmış olan Hicaz bölgesinin tamamen ayrılması sonucunu doğurmuştur. Ortaya çıktığı andan bu yana şiddet ve baskı yoluyla etkisini sürekli artıran Vehhâbîlik etkili olduğu bölgelerde dinî, sosyal ve siyasi alanlarda çeşitli değişimlere neden olmuştur. Halen etkisini İslam dünyasının değişik yerlerinde devam ettirmektedir. Günümüzde Suûd Devleti’nin resmî ideolojisi durumundadır. Vehhâbîlik uzun süredir Suûdi Arabistan Devleti’nin her türlü desteği ile İslam coğrafyasında yayılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Suûdi Arabistan prensi Muhammed bin Selman, Batının talebiyle Vehhâbîliği yaymaya çalıştıklarını ifade etmiştir. Bu durum Vehhâbîliğin ağırlıklı olarak politik bir hareket olduğunun göstergesidir. Bunun sonucunda İslam dünyasının çeşitli yerlerinde Vehhâbî etkisi görülmeye başlamış ve buna bağlı olarak yeni dini hareketler oluşmuştur. Bu hareketlerden bazıları terörü, silahı ve şiddeti yöntem olarak benimseyen radikal dini gruplardır. Son dönemlerde gerek Amerika önderliğindeki Batılı güçlerin çeşitli bahanelerle Müslüman coğrafya üzerine yapmış oldukları acımasız saldırı ve işgaller, gerekse İslam dünyasının kendi içerisindeki gelişmeler, Selefi-Vehhâbî düşünce içinde eskiden beri var olan ayrışmaları derinleştirmiştir. Bunun sonucu olarak günümüzde Selefiliğin, Suûdi Selefilik, Cihadi Selefilik ve Tekfirci Selefilik olarak isimlendirilen üç biçimi ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışma kendilerini Selefilik ekseninde değerlendiren Vehhâbîliğin ortaya çıkışı, teşekkül süreci ve günümüzdeki durumunu ele almaktadır., The subject of this article is the Wahhabism movement, which emerged in the middle of the 18th century in the Najd region of Arabia, which was under the rule of the Ottoman Empire at that time, under the leadership of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, and is now the official sect of the Saudi State. In the formation of this movement, which is generally based on the Hanbali school, the understanding of scholars such as Ibn Taymiyya and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya to return to the pure belief of the predecessor was quite effective. Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab basically focused on tawhid and put forward very strict views on the issues of shirk and bid'ah. While spreading his views, Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab claimed that he was claiming to restore and revive the religion that had been corrupted by various innovations. However, the transformation of this movement he started into an anti-Ottoman revolt and the existence of close relations, especially with the British, which still continue today, brought along various discussions. In addition, the definition of this movement by many Western travelers and diplomats with sympathetic concepts such as “reformist” and “Islamic Protestants” and the support they gave to this movement throughout the historical process deepened the discussions. Therefore, it is still a controversial issue whether this movement, which claims to be a religious revival, emerged with purely religious or political aims. However, the developments after its emergence show that this movement is a political movement with religious references. Wahhabism has emerged with the minded people who mainly oppose the innovations in religion and return to the religious lifestyle in the time of the prophet. However, after a short while, he objected to the way the Ottoman Empire interpreted and lived the religion of Islam, found political allies for himself, and by carrying out an armed struggle with them, he aimed to break the power of the Ottoman Empire in the Arabian peninsula. While doing this, Ibn Abd al-Wahhab put forward strict interpretations, especially based on the concepts of bid'ah, superstition and shirk, and claimed that those who do not accept this fall into polytheism, become apostate, and therefore, the lives and property of such people are halal. Wahhabism has adopted oppression, violence and weapons as a method to impose its views. Ibn Abd al-Wahhab, who could not find many supporters at first due to the rigidity of his method, started to seek political support for him and first persuaded Osman, the Amir of Uyeyna. However, after the reactions, he lost this support in a short time and was exiled from the region. Upon this, Ibn Abd al-Wahhab, who came to the town of Dir'iya near Riyadh, convinced Muhammad ibn Saud, the amir of that place, in 1744, and made an agreement known as the Dir'iya contract in the history. Thus, the Wahhabis, who found the political and military support they were looking for, started a rebellion in a short time by objecting to the Ottoman Empire's interpretation and lifestyle of Islam. This revolt of the Wahhabis disrupted the religious and political integrity of the Ottoman Empire, was effective in the birth of Arab nationalism, which included Turkish hostility, and accelerated the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. This situation resulted in the complete separation of the Hijaz region, which had been under Turkish rule for 400 years. Wahhabism, which has continuously increased its influence through violence and oppression since its emergence, has caused various changes in religious, social and political fields in the regions where it is effective. It still maintains its influence in different parts of the Islamic world. Today, it is the official ideology of the Saudi State. Wahhabism has been trying to spread in the Islamic geography for a long time with all the support of the Saudi Arabian State. Saudi Arabian Prince Muhammad ibn Salman stated that they are trying to spread Wahhabism at the request of the West. This is an indication that Wahhabism is predominantly a political movement. As a result, the Wahhabi effect began to be seen in various parts of the Islamic world and new religious movements were formed accordingly. Some of these movements are radical religious groups that adopt terror, weapons and violence as methods. In recent years, both the brutal attacks and occupations of the Western powers under the leadership of the USA on the Muslim geography with various excuses, as well as the developments within the Islamic world itself have deepened the long-standing divergences in Salafi-Wahhabi thought. As a result of this, three forms of Salafism have emerged today called Saudi Salafism, Jihadi Salafism and Takfiri Salafism. This study deals with the emergence of Wahhabism, which evaluates itself on the axis of Salafism, its formation process and its current situation.

Said ben Muhammad al-Ustuwa’i is one of the Hanafi jurists who died in 432/1041. He is subject to Abu Hanifa in belief as well as in deeds. It is known that he has two works named al-I‘tiqad and Muhtasar Sa‘id. Of these, only al-I‘tiqad has survived to the present day. This work of Ustuwa’i named al-I‘tiqad is about Hanafi belief. One of the important features of the work is that it is the first work that collects the theological views attributed to Abu Hanifa in the form of narrations, after Abu Hanifa’s creed treatises. In this respect, it is a source that can be used about Abu Hanifa’s theological views. However, there is no previous study that examines the creeds attributed by Said ben Muhammad al-Ustuwa’i to al-Imam al-A‘zam Abu Hanifa. For this reason, this article will focus on the theological opinions attributed to Abu Hanifa in his book al-I‘tiqad by Ustuwa’i. By doing this, the article aims to contribute to other studies on Abu Hanifa’s theological ideas. In the article, document rewiev method will be used in determining the theological ideas attributed to Abu Hanifa. In addition, comparisons will be made with Abu Hanifa’s creed treatises. In this study, the views attributed to Ebu Hanifa will be examined by grouping them within themselves., Sâid b. Muhammed el-Üstüvâî 432/1041 yılında vefat etmiş Hanefî fakihlerden biridir. Amelde olduğu gibi inançta da Ebû Hanîfe’ye tâbidir. el-İ‘tikad ve Muhtasaru Sâid isimli iki eserinin var olduğu bilinmektedir. Bunlardan sadece el-İ‘tikad günümüze gelebilmiştir. Üstüvâî’nin el-İ‘tikad isimli bu eseri Hanefî itikadını konu edinmiştir. Eserin önemli özelliklerinden biri, Ebû Hanîfe’nin akaid risâlelerinden sonra, Ebû Hanîfe’ye atfedilen itikadî görüşleri rivayetler halinde bir araya toplayan ilk eser olmasıdır. Bu açıdan Ebû Hanîfe’nin itikadî görüşleri hakkında yararlanılabilecek bir kaynaktır. Ancak Sâid b. Muhammed el-Üstüvâî tarafından İmam-ı Âzam Ebû Hanîfe’ye isnad edilen itikadî düşünceleri daha önce müstakil olarak inceleyen bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bu sebeple bu makale, Üstüvâî’nin el-İ‘tikad isimli kitabında Ebû Hanîfe’ye atfedilen itikadî görüşler üzerinde duracaktır. Makale bunu yaparak Ebû Hanîfe’nin itikadî fikirleri hakkındaki diğer çalışmalara katkı sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Makalede Ebû Hanîfe’ye atfedilen itikadî fikirlerin belirlenmesinde doküman incelemesi yönteminden istifade edilecektir. Ayrıca Ebû Hanîfe’nin akaid risâleleriyle karşılaştırmalar da yapılacaktır. Bu çalışmada Ebû Hanîfe’ye isnat edilen görüşler, kendi içlerinde gruplandırılarak incelenecektir.
