Background. Various studies have produced contradictory results on the prognostic role of the CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) among colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. Although a meta-analysis published in 2014 reported a worse prognosis of CIMP among CIMP-high (CIMP-H) CRC patients, the sample sizes of the major included studies were small. In this study, we included the most recent studies with large sample sizes and performed an updated meta-analysis on the relationship between CIMP and CRC prognosis. Methods. A search of MEDLINE, Web of Science, and Cochrane for studies related to CIMP and CRC published until July 2021 was conducted based on the PICO (participant, intervention, control, outcome) framework. Data extraction and literature analyses were performed according to PRISMA standards. Results. In the present update, 36 eligible studies (20 recently published) reported survival data in 15315 CRC patients, 18.3% of whom were characterized as CIMP-H. Pooled analysis suggested that CIMP-H was associated with poorer overall survival (OS) ( hazard ratio HR = 1.37 , 95% CI: 1.26–1.48) and disease-free survival/progression-free survival/recurrence-free survival (DFS/PFS/RFS) ( HR = 1.51 , 95% CI: 1.19–1.91) among CRC patients. Subgroup analysis based on tumor stage and DNA mismatch repair (MMR) status showed that only patients with stages III-IV and proficient MMR (pMMR) tumors showed a significant association between CIMP-H and shorter OS, with HRs of 1.52 and 1.37, respectively. Three studies were pooled to explore the predictive value of CIMP on CRC patient DFS after receiving postoperative chemotherapy, and no significant correlation was found. Conclusion. CIMP-H is associated with a significantly poor prognosis in CRC patients, especially those with stage III-IV and pMMR tumors. However, the predictive value of CIMP needs to be confirmed by more prospective randomized studies.

Precisely segmenting the hippocampus from the brain is crucial for diagnosing neurodegenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, depression, etc. In this research, we propose an enhanced hippocampus segmentation algorithm based on 3D U-Net that can significantly increase hippocampus segmentation performance. First, a dynamic convolution block is designed to extract information more comprehensively in the steps of the 3D U-Net’s encoder and decoder. In addition, an improved coordinate attention algorithm is applied in the skip connections step of the 3D U-Net to increase the weight of the hippocampus and reduce the redundancy of other unimportant location information. The algorithm proposed in this work uses soft pooling methods instead of max pooling to reduce information loss during downsampling steps. The datasets employed in this research were obtained from the MICCAI 2013 SATA Challenge (MICCAI) and the Harmonized Protocol initiative of the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (HarP). The experimental results on the two datasets prove that the algorithm proposed in this work outperforms other commonly used segmentation algorithms. On the HarP, the dice increase by 3.52%, the mIoU increases by 2.65%, and the F1 score increases by 3.38% in contrast to the baseline. On the MICCAI, the dice, the mIoU, and the F1 score increase by 1.13%, 0.85%, and 1.08%, respectively. Overall, the proposed model outperforms other common algorithms.

Highly transparent Er:Y2O3 ceramics (1–9 at.% Er) were fabricated by hot pressing sintering with ZrO2 as the sintering additive. The microstructures, transmittance, luminescent properties, thermal conductivity, and mechanical properties of the Er:Y2O3 ceramic samples were investigated in detail. The samples all exhibited dense and fine grain microstructures; the average grain sizes were about 0.8 μm. The transmittance levels of the samples with various Er concentrations (2 mm thick) at the wavelengths of 600 and 2700 nm were ~74 and ~83%, respectively. As the Er doping concentration increased from 1 to 9 at.%, the up-conversion luminescence of the samples gradually changed from green to red, with the intensity ratio of red/green light increasing from 0.28 to 2.01. Meanwhile, the down-conversion luminescence properties of the specimens were also studied. When the samples were under 980 nm excitation, the emission bands were detected at 1552, 1573, 1639, and 1661 nm. The thermal conductivity of the samples was found to decrease from 8.72 to 5.81 W/(m·K) with an increase of the Er concentration from 1 to 9 at.%. Moreover, the microhardness and fracture toughness of the samples with 1 at.% Er concentration were ~8.51 GPa and ~1.03 MPa·m1/2, respectively.

Purpose. Based on meta-analysis to explore the effect of physical exercise on relieving the anxiety of the elderly. Methods. The retrieval time was published in the domestic and foreign literatures on the effect of physical exercise on the anxiety of the elderly published from 2005 to 2021. The random effects model was used to evaluate the mean standard deviation of the scores of the intervention group on reducing the anxiety level of the elderly before and after the test. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the articles were screened, quality evaluated, and data extracted, and the literature was meta-analyzed by RevMan5.3. Results. In meta-analysis and systematic review, 17 papers finally met the inclusion criteria. After sensitivity analysis, the random effects model ( MD = 8.00 , 95% CI (6.90, 9.10), Z = 14.23 ( P < 0.00001 )) and the fixed effects model ( MD = 7.71 , 95% CI (6.98, 8.43), Z = 20.72 ( P < 0.00001 )) show that physical exercise has a positive and significant effect on the anxiety of the elderly. Conclusion. Physical exercise plays an important role in reducing the anxiety of the elderly. Therefore, regular physical exercise can be regarded as part of the elderly pension plan, but more high-quality research is needed to further explore the impact of physical exercise on elderly anxiety.

The monitoring data of slope deformation are collected, the dynamic change and development trend of displacement are analyzed, and the deformation laws of different elevation parts are counted. Three-dimensional numerical model of the outlet slope of spillway tunnel is established by finite element method, and excavation simulation analysis is carried out. The results show that after the slope excavation is completed, the plastic zone gradually increases, mainly in compression-shear failure, and tensile-shear failure exists on faults, slope surfaces and local rock mass. The field measured deformation data show that the horizontal cumulative displacement and vertical cumulative displacement increase slowly, both exceeding 200 mm, and the horizontal displacement is larger than the vertical displacement. The monthly dynamic changes of horizontal displacement and vertical displacement are basically fluctuating within 5 mm. Through the combination of deformation measurement and simulation, the displacement variation law of slope and the distribution characteristics of plastic zone are analyzed, which can provide guidance for on-site slope stability prediction and safety construction.

Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a subtype of chronic rhinosinusitis characterized by high edema in the stroma, albumin deposition, and formation of pseudocysts. The pathogenesis of CRSwNP is not yet fully understood. Regulatory T (Treg) cells are a subset of CD4+ T cells that play a suppressive immunoregulatory role in the process of CRSwNP. Recent studies have found that there was a significant reduction in Treg cells in polyp tissues, which leads to the onset of CRSwNP. An imbalance between Th17 and Treg cells can also aggravate inflammation toward the Th2 type. This review focuses on our understanding of the function and role of Treg cells and their regulatory factors and clinical significance in CRSwNP. We also summarize the current drug treatments for CRSwNP with Tregs as the potential therapeutic target, which will provide new ideas for the treatment of CRSwNP in the future.

Purpose: To examine the safety profiles of salbutamol and levosalbutamol reported in the Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database. Methods: Retrospective pharmacovigilance disproportionality analysis for drug-related ADRs reported in the FAERS database was performed from October 1, 2003 to March 31, 2020. The proportion of report ratio (PRR), proportional reporting ratio (PRR), and reporting odds ratio (ROR) were calculated and used for the determination of safety signals. The definition was based on system organ class (SOCs) and Standardized Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities Queries (SMQ) by the Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MedDRA). Results: A total of 83,166 and 3,133 adverse event reports were identified for albuterol and levalbuterol, respectively, and were linked mainly with 12 SOCs, i.e., cardiac, vascular disorders, respiratory, thoracic, mediastinal disorders, and immune system disorders. The largest ROR among the 20 most frequent SMQs was asthma/bronchospasm for reports both in salbutamol group (ROR: 13.585, 95% CI: 13.254, 13.923) and levosalbutamol group (ROR: 16.225, 95% CI: 14.575, 18.063). Conclusion: Data mining of the FAERS may be considered a useful approach for identifying salbutamol and levosalbutamol-related adverse events, which might provide additional information to guide their use in clinical practice.

Tumor metastasis is one of the important reasons for the poor prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, in which lymph node (LN) metastasis is the earliest and most frequent metastasis. With the development of adjuvant immunotherapy, increasing attention has been paid to the tumor-draining lymph nodes（TDLN）in early-stage NSCLC, especially tumor-metastatic lymph nodes, which provides poor prognostic information but has potential benefits in adjuvant treatment. Here, we showed the remodeled immune environment in TDLNs through using TCR-seq and multi-IHC to analyze primary lung cancer tissues and LNs from NSCLC patients with or without LN metastasis. Considering the complex communication between tumor and immunocytes, we subdivided TDLNs and found that metastasis-negative LNs from LN-metastatic patients (MNLN) exhibit more immune activation, exhaustion, and memory compared with both metastasis-positive LNs (MPLN) and TDLNs from non-LN-metastatic patients (NMLN). LN metastasis promotes tumor-specific antigen presentation in TDLNs and induces T cell priming, while existing tumor cells generate an immune-suppressive environment in MPLNs through multiple ways. The evidence implicates the comprehensive immunological mechanism by which LN metastasis influences tumor progression and plays a role in immunotherapy in NSCLC patients.

Using angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements and first principle calculations, we report that the possible unconventional 2q antiferromagnetic (AFM) order in NdSb can induce unusual modulation on its electronic structure. The obvious extra bands observed in the AFM phase of NdSb are well reproduced by theoretical calculations, in which the Fermi-arc-like structures and sharp extra bands are originated from the in-gap surface states. However, they are demonstrated to be topological trivial. By tuning the chemical potential, the AFM phase of NdSb would go through a topological phase transition, realizing a magnetic topological insulator phase. In computer vision, the detection and tracking of moving objects has become a hot topic today. The target tracking technology in this paper refers to the visual tracking of the ground moving target by the aircraft during the flight. Since both the aircraft and the target are moving, there are background and two motion vectors composed of the target and the background in the acquired image. Therefore, this paper proposed a research on the location and tracking of environmental pollution sources under multi-UAV vision based on the target motion model. This paper first introduced the UAV target tracking technology, and analyzed the development history and types of UAVs in detail. Then, based on the increasingly serious environmental pollution, this paper proposed to use UAV sensing technology to locate the pollution source. Finally, in the experimental part, this paper tested the UAV flight platform, and carried out the actual operation and positioning of the pollution source. The final experimental results showed that within 0 ~ 360 s, the attitude angle obtained by the gradient descent method had no divergence phenomenon, which could effectively reduce the error caused by the integration; the inclination angle deviation of the two groups of experimental equipment was within ±2.5°, the roll angle deviation was within ±3°, and the deviation angle was relatively large at some moments, but the average deviation was only 0.8°.

Shortening of the 3′ untranslated regions (3′UTR) of mRNA is an important mechanism for oncogene activation. However, 3′UTR alteration events, their pathologic functions, and underlying mechanisms in human urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (UCB) are not clear. Here, we combine RNA sequencing, bioinformatics, and clinical studies in two independent cohorts of patients with UCB to identify a novel RAC1 shorter 3′UTR isoform that is frequently expressed in UCB and is critical in the tumorigenesis and acquisition of a poor prognostic phenotype in patients. Short 3′UTR isoform of RAC1 substantially upregulated RAC1 expression by escaping from miRNA-targeted repression and played an essential oncogenic role in UCB pathogenesis. An important cleavage/polyadenylation factor, cleavage stimulation factor 2 (CSTF2), induced 3′UTR shortening of RAC1 in UCB by mediating slow transcriptional elongation at RAC1. Cotranscriptional recruitment of CSTF2 on the GUAAU motif at proximal polyadenylation site of RAC1 attenuated the recruitment of two transcription factors AFF1 and AFF4, causing the defects in elongation. CSTF2 regulated the tumorigenic functions of the shorter RAC1 isoform in UCB cells, enhancing cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. The combination of high expression of CSTF2 and high usage of RAC1 short-3′UTR isoform may be used as a powerful biomarker to predict poor prognosis in UCB. Our findings also suggest a CSTF2-regulated RAC1-3′UTR shortening program as an exploitable therapeutic strategy for patients with UCB.Significance: These findings demonstrate that the short isoform of RAC1 is critical in UCB tumorigenesis and may have implications for developing new therapeutic strategies to treat this disease. Accumulating evidence suggests that long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) plays important regulatory roles in cancer biology. However, the involvement of lncRNA in colorectal carcinoma progression remains largely unknown, especially in colorectal carcinoma metastasis. In this study, we investigated the changes in lncRNA expression in colorectal carcinoma and identified a new lncRNA, the antisense transcript of SATB2 (SATB2-AS1), as a key regulator of colorectal carcinoma progression. SATB2-AS1 was frequently downregulated in colorectal carcinoma cells and tissues, and patients whose tumors expressed SATB2-AS1 at low levels had a shorter overall survival and poorer prognosis. Downregulation of SATB2-AS1 significantly promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro and in vivo, demonstrating that it acts as a tumor suppressor in colorectal carcinoma. SATB2-AS1 suppressed colorectal carcinoma progression by serving as a scaffold to recruit p300, whose acetylation of H3K27 and H3K9 at the SATB2 promoter upregulated expression of SATB2, a suppressor of colorectal carcinoma growth and metastasis. SATB2 subsequently recruited HDAC1 to the Snail promoter, repressing Snail transcription and inhibiting epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. Taken together, these data reveal SATB2-AS1 as a novel regulator of the SATB2-Snail axis whose loss facilitates progression of colorectal carcinoma.Significance:These data show that the lncRNA SATB2-AS1 mediates epigenetic regulation of SATB2 and Snail expression to suppress colorectal cancer progression.See related commentary by Li, p. 3536

With the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth has become a vital tool for both medical professionals and patients; many in-person appointments have been canceled due to the pandemic, leading to increased reliance on online resources. This article aimed to discuss various methods of chronic disease management, both traditional self-management and modern telehealth strategies, comparing before and after the COVID-19 outbreak and highlighting challenges that have emerged.

Dissolved organic matter (DOM) plays a major role in ecological systems, affecting the fate and transportation of iron (Fe) and phosphorus (P). To better understand the geochemical cycling of these components, soil and sediment samples were collected around a reservoir downstream of a typical temperate forest in Northeast China. The DOM fractions from these soils, river, and reservoir sediments were extracted and then characterized by spectroscopic techniques. Comparative characterization data showed that the DOM pool of the Xishan Reservoir was partly autochthonous and derived from runoff and deposition of material in terrestrial ecosystems upstream. BackgroundData about real-world effects of combined therapy with sacubitril/valsartan plus dapagliflozin in patients affected by heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) has not been widely reported. In this article, the benefits of dapagliflozin and sacubitril/valsartan respect to improvements of cardiac function in patients with HFrEF would be investigated.MethodsHF patients prescribed sacubitril/valsartan between January 2020 and January 2022 in a tertiary teaching hospital were selected using the Computerized Patient Record System. Patients were divided into two groups according to whether they were taking dapagliflozin. Clinical parameters at baseline and during follow-up were retrospectively collected and analyzed.ResultsTotal of 136 consecutive patients were recruited for this study. 72 patients treated with sacubitril/valsartan and dapagliflozin were assigned to Group A, and another 64 patients receiving sacubitril/valsartan monotherapy were assigned to Group B. After treatment with sacubitril/valsartan plus dapagliflozin for a median follow-up period of 189 days (IQR, 180–276), significant improvements of cardiac function were achieved in Group A. Median N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) level was significantly decreased from 2585 pg/ml (1014–3702.5) to 1260.5 pg/ml (439.8–2214.3) (P P P P = 0.002) and diastolic blood pressure (P = 0.002) significantly decreased. For patients in Group B, significant improvements in mean LVEF (P P = 0.001) and reductions in diastolic blood pressure (P = 0.023) were observed. Strikingly, both median Δ NT-proBNP (P = 0.04) and median Δ LAD (P = 0.006) in Group A were more pronounced in comparison with those seen in Group B.ConclusionsThe combined use of sacubitril/valsartan and dapagliflozin was associated with improved cardiac function in patents with HFrEF, and led to greater reductions in LAD and NT-proBNP levels compared to sacubitril/valsartan monotherapy. These findings suggest that the combination therapy may offer more potent cardiovascular benefits.

Spiritual leadership is a beneficial attempt to implement organizational strategy and sustainable development by improving employees’ personal spiritual needs, stimulating employees’ intrinsic motivation, sense of responsibility, and calling in the work process. We theoretically illustrate that spiritual leadership has a significant positive impact on employee morale. The factors of personal self-efficacy and interpersonal trust play an intermediary chain role in this process. SPSS 24.0 and Process3.5 were used to test the mediating effect using multilevel regression analysis and the bootstrap method. Survey data collected from 278 employees from Chinese organizations supported our proposed hypotheses. The research verifies it is necessary to pay attention to improving the spiritual needs of leaders and employees in organizational development. Through the cultivation, spiritual leadership not only can stimulate the cohesion of the organization and the intrinsic motivation of the employees, but also is of great significance to enrich the spiritual life of the organization members.

The persistence of tumor load in multiple myeloma (MM) lead to relapse in patients achieving complete remission (CR). Appropriate and effective methods of myeloma tumor load monitoring are important for guiding clinical management. This study aimed to clarify the value of microvesicles in monitoring MM tumor load. Microvesicles in bone marrow and peripheral blood were isolated by differential ultracentrifugation and detected by flow cytometry. Western blotting was applied to assess myosin light chain phosphorylation levels. Flow cytometry to detect Ps+CD41a−, Ps+CD41a−CD138+, Ps+CD41a−BCMA+ microvesicles from bone marrow can be used to predict myeloma burden, furthermore, Ps+CD41a− microvesicles may as a potential index to MRD test. Mechanistically, the releasing of microvesicles from MM cell was regulated by Pim-2 Kinase via Phosphorylation of MLC-2 protein.

Age-associated obesity and muscle atrophy (sarcopenia) are intimately connected and are reciprocally regulated by adipose tissue and skeletal muscle dysfunction. During ageing, adipose inflammation leads to the redistribution of fat to the intra-abdominal area (visceral fat) and fatty infiltrations in skeletal muscles, resulting in decreased overall strength and functionality. Lipids and their derivatives accumulate both within and between muscle cells, inducing mitochondrial dysfunction, disturbing β-oxidation of fatty acids, and enhancing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, leading to lipotoxicity and insulin resistance, as well as enhanced secretion of some pro-inflammatory cytokines. In turn, these muscle-secreted cytokines may exacerbate adipose tissue atrophy, support chronic low-grade inflammation, and establish a vicious cycle of local hyperlipidaemia, insulin resistance, and inflammation that spreads systemically, thus promoting the development of sarcopenic obesity (SO). We call this the metabaging cycle. Patients with SO show an increased risk of systemic insulin resistance, systemic inflammation, associated chronic diseases, and the subsequent progression to full-blown sarcopenia and even cachexia. Meanwhile in many cardiometabolic diseases, the ostensibly protective effect of obesity in extremely elderly subjects, also known as the 'obesity paradox', could possibly be explained by our theory that many elderly subjects with normal body mass index might actually harbour SO to various degrees, before it progresses to full-blown severe sarcopenia. Our review outlines current knowledge concerning the possible chain of causation between sarcopenia and obesity, proposes a solution to the obesity paradox, and the role of fat mass in ageing.

Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), one of the major complications of pregnancy, is characterized by low birth weight and results in higher risks for long-term problems including developing metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), especially propionate, have been reported to correct glucose and lipid disorders in metabolic diseases. We hypothesized that maternal propionate supplementation could prevent glucose and lipid metabolic disturbance in hypoxia-induced IUGR. Here, in our study, maternal hypoxia was induced from gestational day (GD) 11 to GD 17.5 to establish an IUGR mouse model. The paper deals with a non-linear barotropic vorticity equation in a shear flow, the model is applied to get the non-linear Rossby solitary wave with the effects of topography and other external forcing. Basing on the perturbation method, the variable coefficient KdV equation is derived for Rossby waves. The periodic-like solution for the equation is obtained with the help of Jacobi elliptic functions, the solitary solutions can also be obtained in the limit case. The analysis indicates that the wave amplitude and velocity will be related to the topography effect. It is also shown that the external forcing plays an important role in evolution of the waves.

P–V–L theory, vibration spectra, and XPS were utilized to establish the links between the intrinsic and extrinsic factors and the microwave dielectric properties. According to the characterization, the change in permittivity (er) was ascribed to the increase in the average bond ionicity of Ti–O(AfiTi-O) and the polar mode of the lattice vibration; the change in quality factor(Q × f) resulted from the change in the Ti–O lattice energy (AUTi-O) and existence of oxygen vacancy; the increase in temperature coefficient of the resonance frequency (τf) was triggered by the increase in the Ti–O bond energy. The Li0.6Zn1.1Ti1.3O4 ceramics (x = 0.45) sintered at 1125 °C finally obtained optimal microwave dielectric constants of er = 17.3, Q × f = 76,318 GHz and τf = -58 ppm/°C.

Objective The purpose of this study was to assess the safety and feasibility of radical surgery and to investigate prognostic factors influencing in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients over the age of 80. Methods Between January 2010 and December 2020, 372 elderly CRC patients who underwent curative resection at the National Cancer Center were enrolled in the study. Preoperative clinical characteristics, perioperative outcomes, and postoperative pathological features were all collected. Results A total of 372 elderly patients with colorectal cancer were included in the study, including 226 (60.8%) men and 146 (39.2%) women. A total of 219 (58.9%) patients had a BMI 2, and 153 (41.1%) patients had a BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2. The mean operation time and intraoperative blood loss were 152.3 ± 58.1 min and 67.6 ± 35.4 ml, respectively. The incidence of overall postoperative complications was 28.2% (105/372), and the incidence of grade 3–4 complications was 14.7% (55/372). In the multivariable Cox regression analysis, BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2 (HR, 2.30, 95% CI, 1.27–4.17; P = 0.006) and N1-N2 stage (HR: 2.97; 95% CI, 1.48–5.97; P = 0.002) correlated with worse CSS. Conclusion The findings of this study showed that radical resection for CRC is safe and feasible for patients over the age of 80. After radical resection, BMI and N stage were independent prognostic factors for elderly CRC patients.

Cancer is a global intractable disease, and its morbidity and mortality are increasing year by year in developing countries. Surgery and chemotherapy are often used to treat cancer, but they result in unsatisfactory outcomes, such as severe side effects and drug resistance. With the accelerated modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), an increasing body of evidence has shown that several TCM components have significant anticancer activities. Astragaloside IV (AS-IV) is considered the main active ingredient of the dried root of Astragalus membranaceus. AS-IV exhibits various pharmacological effects, such as anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, antifibrotic, and anticancer activities. AS-IV possesses a wide range of activities, such as the modulation of reactive oxygen species-scavenging enzyme activities, participation in cell cycle arrest, induction of apoptosis and autophagy, and suppression of cancer cell proliferation, invasiveness, and metastasis. These effects are involved in the inhibition of different malignant tumors, such as lung, liver, breast, and gastric cancers. This article reviews the bioavailability, anticancer activity, and mechanism of AS-IV and provides suggestions for further research of this TCM.

Background The aim of this study was to understand the longitudinal trajectory of suicidal ideation (SI) among Chinese medical students and the role of childhood trauma (CT). Methods Using a whole-group sampling method, we assessed SI in 2192 (male = 834, female = 1358) medical students on three occasions over a period of one year. The Suicidal Ideation Self-Assessment Scale (SISAS) and the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form (CTQ-SF) were used to assess SI and CT. The growth mixture modeling (GMM) was used to classify the developmental trajectory of SI. Results A greater number of medical students were experiencing suicidal ideation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The trajectory of SI among medical students was divided into two groups: a low risk, slowly rising group and a high risk, continuous group. The low risk, slowly rising group had a significant time effect (B = 1.57, p P Conclusion The trajectory of SI among medical students can be divided into a low risk, slowly rising group and a high risk, continuous group; the more EN, PN, EA and PA experienced during childhood, the more likely medical students are to develop a high risk, continuous state of SI.

Nanofluid minimum quantity lubrication (NMQL) is a green processing technology. Cottonseed oil is suitable as base oil because of excellent lubrication performance, low freezing temperature, and high yield. Al2O3 nanoparticles improve not only the heat transfer capacity but also the lubrication performance. The physical and chemical properties of nanofluid change when Al2O3 nanoparticles are added. However, the effects of the concentration of nanofluid on lubrication performance remain unknown. Furthermore, the mechanisms of interaction between Al2O3 nanoparticles and cottonseed oil are unclear. In this research, nanofluid is prepared by adding different mass concentrations of Al2O3 nanoparticles (0, 0.2%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2% wt) to cottonseed oil during minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) milling 45 steel. The tribological properties of nanofluid with different concentrations at the tool/workpiece interface are studied through macro-evaluation parameters (milling force, specific energy) and micro-evaluation parameters (surface roughness, micro morphology, contact angle). The result show that the specific energy is at the minimum (114 J/mm3), and the roughness value is the lowest (1.63 μm) when the concentration is 0.5 wt%. The surfaces of the chip and workpiece are the smoothest, and the contact angle is the lowest, indicating that the tribological properties are the best under 0.5 wt%. This research investigates the intercoupling mechanisms of Al2O3 nanoparticles and cottonseed base oil, and acquires the optimal Al2O3 nanofluid concentration to receive satisfactory tribological properties.
