Most of the cities operate with the bilateral system, but the information flow within that work is unilateral. The flow of information in a unilateral system is from top to the below one way. However, the bilateral system uses one to one or one too few members, but both have equal responsibility. Bilateral information system (BIS) helps to solve the gap of interaction and mutual communication between members. We develop a bilateral bus information system to overcome this gap in public transportation. For the smooth transportation system, the bilateral info system helps over the traditional unilateral info system. IoT devices and the central cloud is the main component to implement this system. This system Notify the bus to stop in the desired station before the bus comes. This system helps the driver to take action before they reach the station. The data of notifying station and time will help design future bus routes, bus density, and bus station. This bilateral information flow system over unilateral might affect all smart cities’ sectors and help create proper information flow for the public.

Path planning for robot arms to reach a target and avoid obstacles has had a crucial role in manufacturing automation. Although many path planning algorithms, including RRT, APF, PRM, and RL-based, have been presented, they have many problems: a time-consuming process, high computational costs, slowness, non-optimal paths, irregular paths, failure to find a path, and complexity. Scholars have tried to address some of these issues. However, those methods still suffer from slowness and complexity. In order to address these two limitations, this paper presents a new hybrid path planning method that contains two separate parts: action-finding (active approach) and angle-finding (passive approach). In the active phase, the Q-learning algorithm is used to find a sequence of simple actions, including up, down, left, and right, to reach the target cell in a gridded workspace. In the passive phase, the joints angles of the robot arm, with respect to the found actions, are obtained by the trained neural network. The simulation and test results show that this hybrid approach significantly improves the slowness and complexity due to using the simplified agent-environment interaction in the active phase and simple computing the joints angles in the passive phase.

In this paper, an analysis of the complementary CMOS active pixel and readout circuit is carried out. Complementary pixel structure which is different from conventional 3TR APS structure consists of photo diode, reset PMOS, several NMOSs and PMOSs sets for complementary signals. Proposed CMOS image sensors pixel has been fabricated using 0.5 standard CMOS process. Measured results show that the output signal range is from 0.8 V to 3.8 V. This output signal range increased 125 % compared to conventional 3TR pixel in the condition of 5 V power supply.

Integrated circuit of a new neuron chain with a synapse function for Hodgkin-Huxley model which is a good electrical model about a real biological neuron is implemented in a 1 poly 2 metal CMOS technology. Pulse type neuron chain consist of series connected current controlled single neurons through synapses. For the realization of the single neuron, a pair of voltage mode oscillators using operational transconductance amplifiers and capacitors is used. The synapse block which is a connection element between neurons consist of a voltage-current conversion circuit using current mirror. SPICE simulation results of the proposed circuit show 160 mV amplitude pulse output and propagation of the signal through synapses. Measurements of the fabricated pulse type neuron chip in condition of power supply are shown and compared with the simulated results.

We propose a new image pixel architecture which has OFD(Over Flow Device) node by improving conventional 3TR pixel structure. Newly designed pixel consists of photo diode which is verified with HSPICE simulation, PMOS reset transistor, several NMOS and several PMOS transistors. Photodiode signals from each PMOS and NMOS are detected by Reset PMOS. These output signals give enough chances to detect wide operation coverage because OFD node has overflow photocurrent. According to various light intensity, we analyzed characteristic of the output voltage with a SPICE tool. Proposed pixel output has specific value which can detect possible from to light intensity. It has wide-dynamic range of 160 dB.

The purpose of this study is to develop a BIM-based plug-in that is able to assist a collaboration among heterogeneous professionals. The tool will enable them to communicate in the same language, articulate criteria and priorities in multiple perspectives, and to share rapidly simulated evaluations of schematic design variations. Among many barriers that block collaborations among professionals, a quintessential barrier in the building and design industries may be epistemological rather than physical. The professionally different ways of thinking, expertise, values, and priorities can be a block on the collaborative development process of architectural design projects. This paper takes the example of the relationship between developers and architects, who tend to have different evaluation criteria. A real-time value simulation tool is introduced as a means to generate possible building typologies on a given project site, with computation of expected total values expressed in simple financial terms.

This paper presents design of the integrated chaotic neuron using 0.8 µm single poly CMOS technology, its dynamical behavior analysis. Proposed chaotic neuron consists of several op-amps, sample and hold circuits, a nonlinear function block for chaotic signal generation, a two-phase clock circuits and sigmoid output function block. From HSPICE simulation results of the circuit, approximated empirical equations is induced. Then the dynamical responses of the chaotic neuron such as bifurcation diagram, time series, Lyapunov exponent, and average firing rate are calculated with numerical analysis.

In this paper, we suggest a new method of human augmented mapping for indoor environments using only a stereo camera. Through user's help, a robot with a stereo camera can investigate the environment without failure and even more efficiently. Moreover, the user can share the information about the environment with the robot and add semantic information to the environmental map. We employ PCA features for visual landmarks and a hybrid map for map representation. Particularly, we define two types of nodes, U/R-nodes and divide the map building into three processes, User's Guidance, Robot's Map Revision, and Robot's Map Completion. We implemented a human augmented mapping system with a stereo camera and demonstrated it in rectangular-shaped corridors. From the comparison with a manually-built map, we showed the feasibility of the environmental map generated by our proposed method.

In this paper we propose a novel vision-based global localization method based on a hybrid map representation. We employ PCA-SIFT features as visual landmarks and represent the environment with a hybrid map which consists of a global topological map and local metric maps. To localize where a mobile robot is placed, we extract visual features from the currently captured view and match them to the feature database previously constructed according to the hybrid map representation. After filtering noise, we estimate the robotpsilas pose with the qualified matching features by the RANSAC approach. We implemented the proposed method in a real mobile robot and tested in both a home-like room and an office-like corridor. The experimental results show that our vision-based global localization system is acceptable in terms of processing time and accuracy.

Purpose: To compare the accuracy of refractive outcome measured by Ultrascan (Alcon, Fort Worth, TX, USA) and partial coherence interferometers after phacovitrectomy. Methods: We performed a retrospective study in 74 eyes of 74 patients who underwent phacovitrectomy. SRK-T formula was used to predict intraocular lens (IOL) power. The difference between the predicted and postoperative refractive outcomes for the 2 methodologies (Ultrascan and IOL Master [Zeiss, Carl Zeiss, Jena, Germany]) were compared. The predicted refractive outcome was defined as the estimated refractive error when the selected IOL was inserted. Results: The axial length measured using IOL Master was statistically longer than when measured using Ultrascan (23.85 ± 0.15 mm, 23.56 ± 0.15 mm, p < 0.001). Based on keratometry, statistically significant difference between the 2 groups was not observed. The postoperative refractive error was more accurate when using the IOL Master than Ultrascan (0.08 ± 0.74, 0.47 ± 0.69, p < 0.001). However, in cases of vitreous hemorrhage, the postoperative refractive error was 0.42 ± 0.49 with the IOL Master and 0.07 ± 0.54 with the Ultrascan. Conclusions: Generally, IOL Master is a more accurate method for calculating the IOL power prior to phacovitrectomy. However, in cases of vitreous hemorrhage, Ultrascan appears superior to IOL Master when calculating the IOL power. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2015;56(7):1059-1064

Purpose: To report the clinical finding of 3 patients with focal choroidal excavation in the macula detected by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT). Case summary: Five eyes of 3 patients with focal choroidal excavation detected by SD-OCT were enrolled in the present study. All patients had myopia (average refractive power -5.60 diopter). Two of the 3 patients had focal choroidal excavation in both eyes. All 5 eyes revealed foveal pigmentary changes on fundus examination. The excavation area in the autofluorescence image was hypofluorescent. Fluorescein angiographic finding was normal to various degrees of hyperfluoresence. Indocyanine green angiography revealed hypofluoresence at the excavation area. The excavation involoved from the retinal pigment epithelium layer to the external limiting membrane or outer nuclear layer and average choroidal thickness at excavation were statistically thinner than the uninvolved area based on SD-OCT (p = 0.002). Retinoschisis, serous pigment epithelial detachment and choroidal neovascularziation (CNV) were detected individually in 3 eyes. The other 2 eyes had no specific abnormalities. Conclusions: During the follow-up period, the choroidal excavation remained relatively stable in 4 of 5 eyes, but CNV developed in 1 eye. Therefore, intravitreal bevacizumab injection was performed. Longer follow-up periods are necessary to determine the etiology, clinical course and visual prognosis of eyes with focal choroidal excavation. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2014;55(6):941-946

Purpose: This study was designed to compare the outcomes in idiopathic epiretinal membrane (ERM) surgery according to solvents of indocyanine green (ICG) for internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling. Methods: The medical records of 27 patients (27 eyes) with idiopathic ERM who had undergone pars plana vitrectomy with ICG staining for ILM peeling were retrospectively reviewed. The patients were divided into two groups according to solvents of 0.25% ICG solutions. Solvents used were balanced salt solution (BSS) in group I (15 eyes) and 5% glucose in group II (12 eyes). The severity of ERM, the duration of symptoms, the preoperative and postoperative best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) values, the visibility of the stained ILM (Good, Fair, Poor), and the postoperative complications were compared in the two groups. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the severity of ERM, the duration of symptoms and the preoperative BCVA in the two groups. The postoperative BCVA was significantly improved in both groups, and the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.675). There was a significantly smaller number of eyes with poor ILM staining in group II than in group I (p = 0.014). No complications such as recurrence of ERM, atrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) or retinal detachment were observed in the two groups. Conclusions: The higher specific gravity of 5% glucose compared with that of BSS as ICG solvents allows for improved ILM visualization. Therefore using the 5% glucose-ICG solution for staining ILM improved the visibility of ILM compared BSS-ICG solution and led to comparable visual recovery. We report a case of Valsalva retinopathy associated with esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) under propofol sedation. A 43-year-old woman who had no previous history of systemic or ocular disease presented with a complaint of decreased vision in her left eye, which developed one day after EGD under propofol sedation. According to the referring physician, the patient had experienced multiple sustained Valsalva maneuvers during EGD. The fundus examination of the left eye showed a large preretinal hemorrhage surrounded by multiple small retinal hemorrhages in the posterior pole. One month later, fundus examination revealed a floating organized vitreous hemorrhage. The pars plana vitrectomy was performed to treat persistent vitreous hemorrhage. One month after vitrectomy, fundus examination showed normal retina and the patient’s vision recovered to 20/20. Valsalva maneuver can occur during EGD under sedation, and Valsalva retinopathy should be considered as a possible cause. Valsalva retinopathy should be included in the differential diagnosis when a patient complains of blurred vision following EGD.

We report on the capacitively coupled O2 plasma etching of PMMA and polycarbonate (PC) with a diffusion pump. Plasma process variables were process pressure and CCP power at 5 sccm O2 gas flow rate. Characterization was done in order to analyze etch rate, etch selectivity, surface roughness, and morphology using stylus surface profilometry and scanning electron microscopy. Self bias decreased with increase of process pressure in the range of 25~180 mTorr. We found an important result for optimum pressure for the highest etch rate of PMMA and PC, which was 60 mTorr. PMMA and PC had etch rates of 0.46 and 0.28 μm/min under pressure conditions, respectively. More specifically, etch rates of the materials increased when the pressure changed from 25 mTorr to 60 mTorr. However, they reduced when the pressure increased further after 60 mTorr. RMS roughnesses of the etched surfaces were in the range of 2.2~2.9 nm. Etch selectivity of PMMA to a photoresist was ~1.5:1 and that of PC was ~0.9:1. Etch rate constant was about 0.04 μm/minW and 0.02 μm/ minW for PMMA and PC, respectively, with the CCP power change at 5 sccm O2 and 40 mTorr process pressure. PC had more erosion on the etched sidewall than PMMA did. The OES data showed that the intensity of the oxygen atomic peak (777.196 nm) proportionally increased with the CCP power.

This study investigates GaAs dry etching in capacitively coupled BCl3/N2 plasma at a low vacuum pressure (>100 mTorr). The applied etch process parameters were a RIE chuck power ranging from 100~200W on the electrodes and a N2 composition ranging from 0~100% in BCl3/N2 plasma mixtures. After the etch process, the etch rates, RMS roughness and etch selectivity of the GaAs over a photoresist was investigated. Surface profilometry and field emission-scanning electron microscopy were used to analyze the etch characteristics of the GaAs substrate. It was found that the highest etch rate of GaAs was 0.4μm/min at a 20 % N2 composition in BCl3/N2 (i.e., 16 sccm BCl3/4 sccm N2). It was also noted that the etch rate of GaAs was 0.22μm/min at 20 sccm BCl3 (100 % BCl3). Therefore, there was a clear catalytic effect of N2 during the BCl3/N2 plasma etching process. The RMS roughness of GaAs after etching was very low (~3nm) when the percentage of N2 was 20 %. However, the surface roughness became rougher with higher percentages of N2.

Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection for chalazia in pediatric patients. Methods: We performed a retrospective chart review of 58 patients (70 lesions) under fifteen years of age and 40 patients (50 lesions) aged fifteen and over, who underwent intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injections and performed follow-ups for at least three months between January 2007 and October 2008. Data regarding age, sex, lesion size, location, number of injections, treatment success, surgery, and complications were evaluated. Results: Cumulative treatment success of TA was 64.3% with the first injection, 82.9% with a second injection, and 88.6% with a third injection in patients under fifteen years of age. The average number of TA injections was 1.671.03 in primary chalazia and 1.480.87 in recurrent chalazia, while the cumulative treatment success until third TA injection was 89.8% in primary chalazia and 85.7% in recurrent chalazia inpatients under fifteen years old. The average number of TA injections was 1.951.18 in primary chalazia and 1.801.14 in recurrent chalazia, while the cumulative treatment success until the third TA injection was 82.5% in primary chalazia and 70.0% in recurrent chalazia in patients aged fifteen and over. No complications were noted with TA injections. Conclusions: Intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection in chalazia is an effective and safe treatment in pediatric patients.
