In the realm of power line communication (PLC), impulsive noise is often regarded as the most difficult challenge to face in PLC. The impulsive noise effects are reduced by employing a combined adaptive least mean square (LMS) filtering and Reed Solomon (RS) coding. As a result, the bit error rate (BER) and throughput performance over this channel are enhanced. The results of a MATLAB computer simulation indicated that a significant improvement is achieved by utilizing the LMS adaptive filter in conjunction with the RS code. This is in contrast to a system that utilizes RS code alone or a system that utilizes the conventional time domain clipping approach.

Most of the medical datasets suffer from missing data, due to the expense of some tests or human faults while recording these tests. This issue affects the performance of the machine learning models because the values of some features will be missing. Therefore, there is a need for a specific type of methods for imputing these missing data. In this research, the salp swarm algorithm (SSA) is used for generating and imputing the missing values in the pain in my ass (also known Pima) Indian diabetes disease (PIDD) dataset, the proposed algorithm is called (ISSA). The obtained results showed that the classification performance of three different classifiers which are support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbour (KNN), and Naïve Bayesian classifier (NBC) have been enhanced as compared to the dataset before applying the proposed method. Moreover, the results indicated that issa was performed better than the statistical imputation techniques such as deleting the samples with missing values, replacing the missing values with zeros, mean, or random values.

Introduction: It is important to better understand the presence of neutralizing anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in the population, as they potentially prevent (re)infection. Aim: To correlate the Cycle threshold (Ct value) of SARS-CoV-2 and its impact on specific Anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG titer, to reveal the effect of age and disease severity on antibodies titer. Methodology: A total of 153 infected participants laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases 4-11 months ago, aged 18-85 years old (mean = 43.58, SD ± 15.34) were enrolled in the study. They have not received any COVID-19 vaccine. A questionnaire was prepared including demographic data, age, gender, residence, and symptoms severity they suffered. Five mL of venous blood was taken from each participant to measure SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies against the receptor binding domain (RBD) by (VIDAS SARS-COV-2 IgG - Biomerieux kit). Ct values were measured by qRT-PCR (BIO-RAD-CFX96) kit which detected two virus genes, namely (RdRp-N genes). Results: Lowest Ct values were detected significantly in age group 50-59 and 70-85 respectively. The highest mean of IgG was detected in age groups 70-85 and 50-59, and was found to be significantly correlated with disease severity. There is a direct relationship between Ct values and the titer of specific IgG, as increasing in viral load is associated with a higher level of antibodies. Antibodies were detected several months after infection with the highest mean after 10-11 months. Conclusions: Specific Anti-viral IgG are significantly associated with increasing age and disease severity, and the direct relation of IgG with viral load. Antibodies are detected several months post-infection but their protective efficacy is controversial.

This work investigates removing the Malachite Green (MG) dye, the poly acrylic hydrogel beads used as a surface to adsorb the dye, the isotherm of adsorption was examined and aspects that influence it, like increasing heat, adding salt, the influence of dry beads and effect of shaking. according to the results, the effect of the adsorption has been found that it is matched to the Friendlish equation much more than Langmuir and Temkin equations. A positive relationship between the adsorption process and the increase in temperature is found that adsorption increases when the temperature increase. Also, the adsorption increased when the salt was added at a temperature (of 20 C0). As that the adsorption doesn’t budge by adding either dry or wet beads of poly acrylic. The thermodynamic function was calculated (ΔH, ΔS, ΔG). The kinetic parameters were examined by the Lagergren equation to first order, for second-order equations either, according to the results of experimental data showing us that the adsorption obeys the pseudo-second order more than the first-order.

This study investigates the occurrence of dialect levelling in the variety of Arabic spoken in Anah, Iraq in terms of the current phonological patterns and change triggered mainly by dialect contact between qeltu and gilit speakers. The study provides a quantitative sociophnetic description of the speech of 60 (30 males and 30 females) Arabic Iraqi Ani (AIA henceforth) speakers. This study investigates the change in two phonological processes: qaf velarisation and Imala (deflexion) under the effect of informants’ age and gender and social network. Following Labov’s (1984) conversational network method, all informants were interviewed individually to collect the linguistic variables required for analysis. Results show that according to the increasing adoption of gilit features by Ani speakers, levelling is occurring in the AIA. Results also revealed that levelling has not yet reached the completion level, yet it is in a very advanced phase.

يهدف البحث إلى معرفة دور الافصاح الاختياري عبر الانترنت في تعزيز جودة التقارير المالية، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف فقد تناول البحث أسلوب تحليل محتوى للقوائم المالية السنوية لعينة من الشركات المصرفية العراقية المدرجة في سوق العراق للأوراق المالية والبالغ عددها (10) شركات للفترة الممتدة من 2010 لغاية 2020، لغرض جمع البيانات الأولية وقياس متغيرات الدراسة، وتم استخدام نماذج الارتباط والانحدار في فحص العلاقة والتأثير بين تلك المتغيرات، وأظهرت النتائج المتعلقة بالإفصاح الاختياري عبر الانترنت أن المصارف العراقية تفصح عن المعلومات المحاسبية عبر الانترنت بشكل منخفض نسبيا سواء كان ذلك من حيث الشكل أو محتوى هذه المعلومات، فضلا عن عدم وجود تأثير مباشر للإفصاح الاختياري عبر الانترنت على جودة التقارير المالية (وفق التحفظ المحاسبي).

تناولت الدراسة ظاهرة العواصف الغبارية وآثرها على الانتاج الزراعي في قضاء سامراء , تلك الظاهرة التي حظيت باهتمام كبير من قبل الباحثين والمهتمين في مختلف المجالات في العراق والبلدان العربية والعالم لما لها من تأثيرات على الجوانب الطبيعية والبشرية وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على البيانات المناخية والاحصاءات الزراعية لمختلف المحاصيل الزراعية في منطقة البحث , تقع منطقة الدراسة بين دائرتي عرض (N34 . 30" . 0" ) شمالاً وخطي طول( E44 . 30 " 0 " ) شرقاً في الجزء الاوسط من العراق وبداية السهل الرسوبي والتي تقع ضمن الحدود الادارية لمحافظة صلاح الدين , يحدها من الشرق محافظة ديالى وجنوباً محافظة بغداد ومن الشمال محافظة كركوك ومن الغرب محافظة الانبار والموصل . وتتخذ سامراء شكلاً طولياً ويمتد نهر دجلة في قضاء سامراء من الشمال الى الجنوب . وتقدر مساحة سامراء ( 1178.7 كم2) . خريطة (1) . اما حدودها الادارية فيقع قضاء سامراء في وسط محافظة صلاح الدين يحدها من الشمال قضاء تكريت ومن جهة الشرق قضاء الدور وقضاء الضلوعية ومن الجنوب قضاء بلد وناحية الاسحاقي . إن هذا الموقع الجغرافي والفلكي اعطى لقضاء سامراء خاصية التطرف المناخي والموقع القاري والبعد عن المؤثرات البحرية , كما يلاحظ في المرئية الفضائية (1) . ومن خلال البحث توصل الى ان السنوات الاخيرة شهدت تزايد مستمر في العواصف الغبارية ومن خلال تتبع الخصائص المناخية لفترة الدراسة من (1990 – 2020 ) لوحظ تزايد خطير في تكرار هذه الظاهرة والتي هي ناتجة عن عوامل طبيعية وأخرى بشرية اسهمت في تزايدها في قضاء سامراء ومن ثم بيان اثر العواصف على الانتاج الزراعي , وقد اختتمت الدراسة بعد من النتائج والتوصيات التي توصل اليها الباحث . وأوصى الباحث بضرورة تكثيف وتطوير اساليب حماية الطرق والمزارع والأنشطة البشرية الاخرى التي هي معرضه لتلك العواصف الهابة على منطقة الدراسة .

In October 1853, the Ottoman Empire declared war on Russia, after a series of disputes over the holy places in Jerusalem and Russian claims to protect the Orthodox subjects of the Ottoman Empire. The British and French, allies of the Ottoman Empire, sought to check Russian expansion. The majority of the Crimean War took place in Crimea, Russia. However, the British troop base and hospitals for the care of sick and wounded soldiers were established primarily at Scutari (Uskudar), across the Bosphorus from Constantinople (Istanbul). As the war broke out, reports returned to Britain about the terrible conditions for the sick and wounded British soldiers. Popular on the mistreatment of wounded British soldiers, a friend of Florence Nightingale, the Secretary of War, Sidney Herbert, wrote to Florence and asked her to lead a group of nurses to attend the headquarters of the British forces. So Florence Nightingale volunteered to go to Turkey then known as Scutari, accompanied by thirty-eight women, including eighteen Catholic, Anglican and Roman sisters, to war.

Measures, especially efficiency measures, are crucial and pivotal in determining a company's performance level and financial health, as well as the extent to which they are reflected in other indicators. This study investigates the extent to which the company’s efficiency measure (working capital) contributes to achieving returns for the period 2009-2018. Therefore, it assumes that the efficiency measure (working capital) does not contribute to achieving the cumulative abnormal return. This study drew several findings, the most crucial of which is the rejection of the hypothesis of the study and the acceptance of the alternative hypotheses, which can be summed up as the efficiency measure (working capital) contributing to achieving the cumulative abnormal return. The study has concluded a set of recommendations, including the need to raise awareness of working capital as a major contributor to achieving a distinct type of stock returns.

In this study, a finite element analysis is conducted to study the behaviour of RC beams with different configurations of transverse reinforcement under torsion. These configurations of stirrups are traditional closed stirrups, circular spiral stirrups, and inclined rectangular spiral stirrups. The numerical torsional load values are compared with the experimental torsional load values from previous research. The numerical analysis determined by the ANSYS software shows a reasonable agreement with the experimental torsional load values. The numerical results demonstrate that the use of continuous rectangular spiral stirrups improved the torsional response compared to using another type of beam stirrup. Thus, numerical results show that continuous spiral stirrups are effective at increasing torsional capacity. It is also noted that the behaviour of these beams with continuous spiral stirrups is better than the behaviour of the beams with traditional stirrups. The beams with helical reinforcement, which are TB2, TB3, and TB4 spiral reinforcements, greatly enhanced the toughness. The equivalent stresses are 13.709, 13.728, 14.72, and 15.894 MPa, while the equivalent elastic strains are 0.00421, 0.00377, 0.00347, and 0.00539 mm/mm for the beams TB2, TB3, and TB4, respectively. The beam TB4 had the highest stress and strain value, so its strength improved its ductility properties. As a result, the stirrups' configurations enabled the detection of beam failure mechanisms by improving torsional behaviour when compared to the beam's traditional stirrups. As a result, this research adds more knowledge to the literature on the most effective spiral stirrups for transverse reinforcement to improve the torsional behaviour of beams. Clustering is an unsupervised learning method that classified data according to similarity probabilities. DBScan as a high-quality algorithm has been introduced for clustering spatial data due to its ability to remove noise (outlier) and constructing arbitrarily shapes. However, it has a problem in determining a suitable value of Eps parameter. This paper proposes a new clustering method, termed as DBScanBAT, that it optimizes DBScan algorithm by BAT algorithm. The proposed method automatically sets the DBScan parameters (Eps) and finds the optimal value for it. The results of the proposed DBScanBAT automatically generates near original number of clusters better than DBScanPSO and original DBScan. Furthermore, the proposed method has the ability to generate high quality clusters with minimum entropy [ 0.2752, 0.4291] in TR11 and TR12 datasets.

Background: Endoscopic skull base surgery is a well-established technique for the treatment of skull base pathologies. Once the resection is complete, reconstruction of the sellar floor is performed. Fat and fascia lata are used in an underlay fashion and then the dural sealant is placed over the repair. Aim of the study: The study aims to assess the reconstruction of skull base defects after trans sphenoidal endoscopic surgery. Patients and Methods: A total of 15 patients, 11 females & 4 males, were exposed to a cross-sectional study. The age of the participant ranged between 13 to 73 years old. The present work was carried out at Al-Hayat Private Hospital for the period starting from October 2017 to October 2021. All patients were followed up for at least 6 months' duration to assess the final outcome of the surgical operation. All the patients were informed of the aim of the study and they willingly agreed to participate; written consents were obtained from all of them. Results: No CSF leak happened postoperatively in the patients. In spite of the small group of patients in the study, it can be concluded that the way of reconstructing the skull base has been effective

Objective: "The current study aims to assess the proportion of newborns that sleep well and investigates the awareness and comprehension of SIDS and its associated risk factors among mothers of infants in Al Najaf Provence". Methodology: In order to accomplish the study's goals, a descriptive cross-sectional study was used throughout. The study took place between November 2021 and February 2022. a Non-Probability (Purposive Sample) of 100 moms who arrived with infants (under 1 year old) at the Hospital for Maternity and Children and the primary healthcare facilities in Al-Najaf Provence. Results: The study's findings revealed that (49%) of newborns were found to be sleeping on their sides, (37%) were found to be dozing off, and (14%) were found to be sleeping on their prone backs. Participants as a whole (60%) stated that (40%) child doctors were the main information source they used to learn about SIDS. Conclusion: In our study, women had limited understanding about sudden infant death syndrome, and a substantial percentage of them were unaware that smoking exposure during pregnancy and after delivery had been linked to an elevated risk of SIDS. In our study, a large percentage of moms were unaware that giving their babies pacifiers while they slept reduced the risk of SIDS. Keywords: knowledge, mother, sudden infant death syndrome.

Introduction and Aim: Due to a lack of effective medications, beta-thalassemia is a serious issue in Iraq. Thus, the current investigation aimed to explore the relationship between TNF-alpha gene polymorphism G/A (rs 1800629), Vitamin D (Vit D), Calcium (Ca), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and ferritin status in Iraqi beta thalassemia major and intermediate patients. Materials and Methods: Blood samples were collected from 46 patients suffering from thalassemia major (TM) plus 48 patients suffering from thalassemia intermediate (TI) and 48 of apparently healthy volunteers as control group aged 18-60 years, from Ibn Al-Baladi Hospital, Baghdad. Results: Studies for the distribution of TNF- alpha G/A (rs 1800629) genotype showed that among TM patients and TI patients, the prevalence of the mutant AA genotype (rs 1800629) was higher in TM patients, while in the control group, it was lower. Similarly, for the wild genotype (GG), the prevalence was highest in control group followed by T1 and TM patients. The frequency of A allele was high in TM patients, while the G allele frequency was more in the control group. Results also showed that the TNF- alpha genotype variations influenced Vitamin D, Calcium, ALP, and ferritin levels in TM and TI patients, wherein the patients with TNF-alpha mutant genotype (AA) were associated with highest levels of ferritin and ALP among all genotypes groups, while the patients of with TNF-alpha wild genotype (GG) were associated with high levels of Vitamin D and Calcium among all genotypes groups. Conclusion: Patients with at least one copy of (A) allele had a higher risk of TM and TI and there was an association between the heterogeneous (GA) and mutant (AA) genotypes, also presence of (A) allele with status differences of Vit D, Ca, ALP, and ferritin in Iraqi beta thalassemia major and intermediate patients.

In this paper, we used a semi-analytical method that combines the Kamal transform and a modified iteration method to solve the nonlinear homogeneous and nonhomogeneous modified Kerteweg-de Vries and the fifth-order Kerteweg-de Vries equations. The modified iteration method has been used to with a condition that guarantees fast convergence of the approximate solution. The analysis and convergence of the combined method have been discussed. Furthermore, the numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed semi-analytical method.

The present study was designed to determine the prevalence of superficial fungal infections among the patients that were living in different circumstances in Diyala region, Iraq. From July 2018 to February 2019. There were (42) patients with ages (2-78) years were surveyed for pityriasis versicolor fungal infections by history and clinical examination. The results revealed that the prevalence rates of pityriasis versicolor infections were (19.3%) for both male and female. The proportion of fungal infection in rural area (33.3%) was more preponderant in comparison to urban areas (66.6%). Furthermore, the rate of percent infection by pityriasis versicolor (66.6%) were higher in male whereas in females were (33.3%). In addition, study demonstrated that incidence of pityriasis versicolor infection has been significantly associated with age, area and gender. This study suggested there has been an exigent need to concentration on hygiene values of peoples in addition to increment the economic condition of the society.

New polymeric nanoparticles were to be developed for biomedical purposes as the purpose of this study. It was thought that theproduction of materials with novel properties and functions could be accomplished by meticulous design and synthesis, as well as theresearch of structure-property connections. A novel method that we developed has excellent sensitivity, cheap cost, and high stability.The molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) used in this method, which is based on a functional monomer named polylactic acid(PLA), Acrylic acid (AA) , Methylacrylate (MA) Chitosan (Cs), Bisphenol A dimethacrylate(BADMA) , N,Ndimethylacrylamide(DMA), Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), Ethylene glycol(EG), Methyl Methacrylate(MMA). To search into thepotential use of these hydrogels in controlled drug delivery systems, were crosslinked by 1,6 hexanedioldiacrylate (HDODA) andphotoinitiated by 1-hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone before being polymerized using free radical polymerization.We synthesized the water-insoluble, amphiphilic polymer MIPs and for the first time described its structure and characteristics. Thispolymer, which has a nanostructure with a size of about 40-88 nm, is the ideal biocompatible polymer for nanobioapplications.Atenolol was loaded onto a produced hydrogel, and the drug release of such hydrogels in vitro and in vivo was studied. According tothe results, raising the pH accelerated the rate of drug release. Fourier transform infrared and 1HNMR spectroscopy, thermalgravimetric measurement, and scanning electron microscopy were used to analyze the produced hydrogels. I have been studyingabout the TGA and DSC utilizing argon medium gas and a 10 oC/min heating rate. The effect of TGA shows% residue between 2-12% at 500oC and char yield between 26- 50% at 400oC. Nanocopolymer hydrogels' glass transition values (Tg) ranged from 120 to275 °C.The faculty of biological science and biotechnology at Shahid Beheshti University also conducted studies on the efficiency of thesenanocopolymers using laboratory rats., Tehran, Iran on 18 Male Wistar rats weighing 200–240 g and divided rats into several groups,a group of natural control, and other groups for the induction of high pressure by Nacl (1%) and Dexamethasone, which includes ahigh pressure control group, , groups of treatment with polymers loaded with (Atenolol), and high pressure control groups, where Theresults showed that polymers have an obvious effect on lowering blood pressure levels in rats. Additionally, to avoid the issue ofincreased loading (Atenolol) caused by the treatment process (Atenolol), which is normally what happens as a result of an overdose,as well as to reduce the number of periodic blood pressure checks.

Commercial, industrial, and military activity, largely in the 19th and 20th centuries, have led to environmental pollution that can threaten human health and ecosystem function, liquid gas petroleum (LPG) products are the major sources of energy for industry and daily life that cause environmental contamination during various stages of production, transportation, refining and use. Screening of bacterial isolate by using clear zone techniques and biomass and optical density. Results revealed that isolate Burkholdaria cepatia showed a high ability for hydrocarbons biodegradation and this isolate identified depending on morphological cultural, gram stain, microscopic features, biochemical tests, and VITEK2 compact. In this study, Burkholdaria cepatia had been examined to degrade hydrocarbons in soil. Such strain which is isolated from petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil has the ability to utilize a variety of hydrocarbons substrates. Optimal conditions that include (time, temperature & pH) were studied for hydrocarbons biodegradation by Burkholdaria cepatia, results showed with high growth and hydrocarbons biodegredation. Biodegradation Experiments were carried out in lab scale and the growth of microorganisms was investigated directly and indirectly. Results showed an extent of biodegradation more than 80% can be achieved within 10 days using.

Petroleum is one of the most important substances consumed by man at present times, a major energy source in this century, petroleum oils can cause environmental pollution during various stages of production, transportation, refining and use, petroleum hydrocarbons pollutions ranging from soil, ground water to marine environment, become an inevitable problem in the modern life, current study focused on bioremediation process of hydrocarbons contaminants that remaining in the bottom of gas cylinders and discharged to the soil. Twenty-four bacterial isolates were isolated from contaminated soils all of them gram negative bacteria, bacterial isolates screening to investigate the ability of biodegradation of hydrocarbons, these isolates inoculated with modified mineral salt media containing 1% hydrocarbons for five days in shaking incubator 150 rpm at 30oC. Then measured optical density by a spectrophotometer (UV–9200) at waves length 540nm, biomass, where three isolates appeared highest ability to growth than others isolates. These three bacterial isolates were diagnosed by morphological features, gram stain, microscopically examination, biochemical tests, as well as by using VITEK 2 Compact device. One of three isolates was selected and result of identification of this bacterium showed that belonged to Serretia ficaria.

The study included isolation and diagnosis of Escherichia coli from clinical and animal sources (humans, cows, sheep, birds, chickens, fish, and gecko). It collected 275 samples distributed to 125 clinical samples taken from urine and 150 samples distributed to other organisms with 25 samples per organism. The isolates used in the study were diagnosed on the appearance, microscopy, and chemical tests, as well as confirmatory testing of isolations through the use of the Api 20 E tape, where 41 isolations of E. coli bacteria were obtained from the clinical source and 89 isolation from other organisms. Some fertility factors of bacterial isolates were studied, all bacterial isolates were found to be Capsule productive, while all were non-Hemolysin enzymes, and Extended Spectrum β-lactamase enzymes were 41% (53/130), and isolates' ability to form biofilm was investigated where isolates were producers 60% (77/130). Three isolates were selected for each source to study their plasmid content, Electrically phased isolators on agarose gels have shown a different variety in their plasmid content.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on agricultural production. One of the most important strategic crops for agricultural production is wheat, which is of great importance to food security in general and is even included in the foreign policies of countries. Iraq seeks to increase the productivity of wheat crops by spreading the awareness program that supports the wheat crop. The study was conducted in the villages of (Kusaiba and Abu Flies) with a total number of (55 farmers), in Anbar province. Used the SPSS program to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that the majority of farmers under 45 years of age were 70.2%. As for educational attainment, most farmers had only or less primary education at a rate of 61.4%, and the majority of farmers were married, 84.2%. In addition, most farmers have had their lands for decades and renters 83%, . In the field of agricultural sources, their sources came from the Internet by 54.4%, and in the field of agricultural problems and obstacles, the problem of the delay in receiving the marketing amount, as to the effects of Covid 19, the most agreeable was the distance of the health centers from the villages. The relationship was significant with age, marital status, educational attainment, and land ownership at a significant level of 0.05. The researcher recommends that farmers should be encouraged to educate, also the necessity of providing support for agricultural requirements and providing a suitable environment for the agricultural market.

This paper focuses on motion which is considered an important issue for insect robots, which consumes significant energy sources in general. We inspired the robot design structure from the challenges that crawling insects face in nature, especially a cockroach. The proposed robot configuration enhanced error scale such as energy modulation, computation, and mass. This paper presents the design and construction of six-legged robot with minimum number of trigger motors and the movement mechanisms used for the leg movements. The insect robot resembles a cockroach in shape and size (1.6 cm × 4 cm) and can move at rates of up to 3.5 cm per second. The robot can operate for up to 260 minutes. Reinforced concrete, RC beams subjected to shear failure which is the most unwanted failure mode due to speed progress is studied numerically. Therefore, the effective design of beams is necessary because of the sudden failure types of these beams in shear. The minimum shear reinforcement ratio of RC beams must be provided around the longitudinal rebars. Thus, the stirrups with different patterns have a significant benefit for improving the RC beam. In this paper, the performance of specimens with different spiral stirrups using ANSYS programs is investigated by comparing them with conventional stirrups of RC beams. One statement on the experimental results has been obtained from previous research Karayannis et al. [17]. The behaviors of these experimental beams are compared with finite element analysis of the identical beams. It is found that the behaviors of the experimental beam in comparison with the behaviors of the numerical beam are slightly different. Based on the FE analysis, the shear strength results demonstrated the mean accuracy and standard deviation of about 0.994 and 0.028, respectively, compared with the experimental test. Furthermore, the curve determined from FE analysis is consistent with the experiment data. The results give knowledge about the importance of spiral stirrups of the beam, and the most effective method among the investigated cases.

In this research, the focus was on estimating the parameters on (min- Gumbel distribution), using the maximum likelihood method and the Bayes method. The genetic algorithmmethod was employed in estimating the parameters of the maximum likelihood method as well as the Bayes method. The comparison was made using the mean error squares (MSE), where the best estimator is the one who has the least mean squared error. It was noted that the best estimator was (BLG_GE).

In this study, kidney function tests, LDH and glucose were evaluated in COVID-19 patients. The study included 120 cases, who were divided into three groups; a first group of 40 patients with COVID-19, and the secondgroup of 40 recovered of COVID 19, and the third group was control of40. The results indicated a significant increase (P < 0.01) in the renal function parameters of Covid-19 patients compared to the recovered and control groups. Background: Obesity has become a major health problem, defined as an abnormal or excessive accumulation of fat in adipose tissue and is diagnosed with a BMI ≥30 kg/m2. The study aimed to find the correlation between zinc deficiency and obesity, also, to study the association between obesity and different socio-demographic factors. Material and Methods: A case-control study was conducted to achieve the aims of the study that has been conducted from the beginning of December 2021 until June 2022. The size of the sample comprises 140 participants who were equally divided into two groups, obese group (body mass index (BMI) ≥ 30 kg/m2) and the control group, (BMI18.5 - 24.9 kg/m2). All participants were taken randomly from adult peoples ages ranged between (18-65) years in Al-Najaf Governorate. Results: The association between serum zinc and obesity was significant (p-value = 0.041, O. ratio (95%CI) = 2.01(1.02-3.97)). The correlation between serum zinc level with both BMI and waist hip ratio (WHR) was negatively correlation (r = -0.241, r = -0.033, respectively). The association between obesity and socio-demographics characteristics was only significant with gender and marital status (P-value =0.002, 0.016, respectively), while the other characteristics were not significant (p-value = >0.05).

The precise relationship between interleukins-33 and IL-5, as well as some trace elements and asthma, is unknown. The target of research was to compare and link the above-mentioned serological parameters in asthmatic patients and healthy controls. In 69 asthmatic patients and 35 healthy controls, serum levels of IL-33, IL-5, zinc, copper, iron, total IgE, Forced expiratory volume (FEV) and Forced expiratory volume (FEV) were compared. Spirometry was used to assess the (FEV) and (FVC) in asthmatic patients, as well as their age and body mass index (BMI). When asthmatic patients were matched to controls, mean levels of IL-33, IL-5, and total IgE appeared highly significant difference (p < 0.001). There was a substantial decline in zinc levels in the asthmatic group, but no significant drop in Copper levels. There was also a statistically significant difference in high Iron mean levels among asthmatic patients. In addition, the findings revealed a significant positive correlation between Iron and IgE levels in patients and the levels of (IL-33 and IL-5), plus a significant negative correlation with Zinc levels. Only Copper had no relationship with the interleukins studied. IL-33, also known as IL-5, is a novel inflammatory marker implicated in asthma progression by interacting with IgE, Zinc, Iron, but not Copper levels. As a result, it could be a one-of-a-kind therapeutic target in these patients.

Background: One of the most unpleasant and painful NCPAP related complication is the risk of nasal skin breakdown. It commonly occurs on areas under high pressure of nasal interface, mostly on the nasal bridge but can take place at any area under pressure of mask or prong which are used to connect the ventilation system to the patient’s nose. Objective: Evaluation of nurses' knowledge about Neonatal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Nasal Injuries at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: A Descriptive cross-sectional study, quantitative research has been carried throughout the present study to evaluate their management about nasal injury related to CPAP at neonates’ intensive care units in hospitals of Medical City director in Baghdad and it examined the type of relationship between variables. During the period from 3rd October 2021 to 15th May 2022. Results of the study: Results that observed responses of high evaluated generally assigned, and they are accounted 27(81.82%) items, while leftover items were a assigned moderate evaluation 5(15.15%), and low evaluation 1(3.03%). Conclusion: In concerning nursing management about neonatal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) nasal injuries at neonatal intensive care unit are assigned at the established level in which that achieving goal of this study. Recommendations: Training courses to increase nurses' knowledge and practices about working on the continuous positive air pressure device. Background: Zinc is an essential trace element in maintaining human health. Zinc deficiency has many adverse effects on the body's growth and validity and delays the individuals’ daily performance of duties. The study aimed: to find the association between serum zinc levels and different socio-demographic factors.Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to achieve the study's aim from November 2021to May 2022. The size of sample comprises 140 participants. All study members were adults ages ranging from (18-65) years taken randomly from Al-Najaf Governorate. The data was collected by estimating serum zinc and using a simple questionnaire, then analyzed using a statistical program. Results: The association between serum zinc with educational level and monthly income wasa significant p-value (0.048 and 0.027, respectively). Other socio-demographic characteristics were not significant. Conclusion: The study concluded that educational level and monthly income could affect serum zinc level more than Other socio-demographic characteristics.

Clustering is an effective way that improves WSN lifetime. In this paper, unlike the other approaches, an adaptive virtual grid is conducted to form cluster boundaries during network lifetime. Using the adaptive virtual grid not only shrinks the size of clusters but also determines network configuration based on the location of the base station. In EFTVG, compared to the previous clustering methods which used a specific cluster head selection procedure for the entire network lifetime, we propose a consecutive clustering (fuzzy-timer) approach. Authors divide the network lifetime into two parts. Firstly, a fuzzy clustering is applied to address uncertainty in a semi-distributed manner. Then a timer-based clustering is used in the second part to tackle sharp energy consumption in a fully-distributed manner. A local threshold is applied in each cluster to specify whether cluster head selection is required or not. Using this novelty, the network may encounter new cluster heads in some clusters, while we trust the ex-cluster head in others. Applying this policy results in energy saving. Finally, we present a novel hybrid routing to reduce energy consumption in WSN. EFTVG is compared with MOFCA, EAFCA, EAUCF, FLECH, DECUC, FUCA, DUCF, FSVGA and FMCR-CT approaches in four different scenarios.

A group of people with type I diabetes are giving blood samples for a study on the Lecithin Cholesterol Acyltransferase (LCAT). Several methods have been used, such as the deposition of ammonium sulfate, dialysis, ion exchange chromatography, and electrical migration. LCAT was found to have one symmetrical molecule with a molecular weight of 68 kDa and a maximum activity of (327.8×10–3) units/ml. The study also looks at the factors that affect the enzyme. It was found that the best temperature for the enzyme was (30 °C), the best pH was (5.5), and the best amount of time for the enzyme to be incubated was (20) minutes.

Organizational commitment is generally defined as “the relative strength of an individual's identification with, and participation in, a specific organization” (Subramaniam & Mia; 2003, p. 3). Design/methodology/approach: The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting the necessary data and information, and an intended sample consisted of (302) represented by (managers - assistants - and department officials - administrative departments). In Al-Ittihad Company for Food Industries Ltd., the descriptive analytical approach was mainly used in presenting and analyzing the research. The information was interpreted, and a number of statistical methods were used, such as confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling method to measure the effect ratio, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, relative coefficient of difference, relative importance and Pearson's ratio through statistical programs (SPSS V. 23) The Program (Amos V. 23). Findings: The results show that job affiliation will achieve common and mutual communication and understanding among the pillars of management at their different levels (top, middle and bottom), and sincerity in the service of the job goal will achieve greater returns when it appears on the actual performance of the individual. The importance of English writing for second language learners cannot be overstated. However, improving results in English classes and helping students improve their writing skills remain a difficult challenge for English teachers. For the first time, the author of this essay tries to give definitions of the process approach to writing, compare the product approach to teaching writing with the process approach, and then make recommendations about the fundamental principles of teaching writing with the application of the process approach, all based on their experimental research. The author uses this understanding of the process approach to writing to focus on a discussion of two classroom teaching models, namely teaching models with minimal and maximal control for different levels of English proficiency. In an experiment, the participants' writing skills improved significantly.
