1. Design and Implementation Digital Invitation System Based on Secure Hash Algorithm 3

Abstract: Digital invitation system become one of the important systems due to the pandemic consequences specially in E-learning domains. The digital invitation needed to be secure enough for several reasons specially in the user demands. In this paper designed and implemented a digital invitation system based on secure hash algorithm which achieving multilevel of security. The first security level, that is the hash code generated for the digital invitation link used in the encryption process not only for the invitation date but also for the invitation time. on the other hand, the second security level achieved through out using the hash code as map for the hiding mechanism. The generated hash will be used for the data integrity as well. The proposed system evaluating the final stego-image as digital invitation using PSNR metric and the maximum value reach 64.28 while the minimum value reach 58.21.

Abstract: In this paper, we have developed an automatic brush-based PV cleaning system to control and synchronize the 3 motors together with a smooth periodic of cleaning while moving it horizontally over the PV surface. The mechanical design involved installing linear guides at the top and bottom of the rail to support the aluminium plate that holds the carrier motors and rotating brush. Two different movements of translational and rotational motion of the motors are managed by an algorithm programmed in Arduino Mega. In investigating the performance of motor parameters and dust removal rate, we conducted an experiment by spreading dry sand over the PV surface. Results showed that the torque of the cleaning brush motor increases with the increase in load. The obtained torque of the carrier motor was found to be 9.167 Nm ( stall torque, 9.8 Nm) with a full load of 18 brushes. The torque is inversely proportional to the speed but directly proportional to power. The required power to move the 2.93 kg of cleaning system was 19.20 W with 3.015 Nm of torque. The system achieved 86.8% of the dust removal rate from the four cycles of cleaning operations.

Abstract: Any solid, unprotected, and undefended surface in the aquatic environment will be fouled. Fouling, on the other hand, can affect a wide range of species that can tolerate some epibiosis. Several others, on the other hand, aggressively keep the epibionts off their body surface (antifouling). Antifouling defenses are built into marine plants like seaweed and seagrass. They do have a distinctive surface structure with tightly packed needle-like peaks and antifouling coverings, which may hinder settling bacteria's ability to cling. Chemical antifouling resistance is most probably a biological reaction to epibiosis' ecological drawbacks, especially for organisms capable of performing photosynthesis. The goal of this study was to see how effective natural compounds derived from littoral seaweeds were in preventing fouling. The brown mussel, an important fouling organism, was evaluated in laboratory bioassays against fifty-one populations' crude organic extracts including fort-two macroalgae species. Antifouling activity, exhibited a distinct phylogenetic pattern, with red macroalgae having the largest share of active species, subsequently brown macroalgae. Antifouling action in green seaweeds has never been significant. Seven species showed some level of induced antifouling defense. Our findings appear to back up previous findings about secondary metabolite synthesis in seaweeds, indicating that in the hunt for novel antifoulants, researchers should concentrate their efforts on tropical red macroalgae.

Abstract: The study focuses on Madeline Miller’s short story Galatea. The study analyzes the two main characters in the short story, Galatea and the sculptor. The researcher uses the method of reading and analyzing the literary text Galatea’s short story and applying Sigmund Freud’s theory of psychoanalysis. The study aims to investigate the impact of the sculptor as a husband on his wife, Galatea. In addition, the impact of working as a sculptor on the sculptor’s behaviours and preferences. The study found that the sculptor has an obsession, mother complex, jealousy, sadism, and criminal character, which affected Galatea’s behaviour for having a phobia, narcissism, masochism, and suicidal character. The study also showed the suffering of Galatea and the violence practised against her by the sculptor, who has the power within the marital relationship. Moreover, the sculptor exerts his power over Galatea to restrict her freedom and to isolate her from society which leads her to flee in search of a new life. In addition, the power of instincts and its impact has an influence on human relationships and decisions.

12. Antioxidant Flavonoid Diosmetin Is Cardioprotective in a Rat Model of Myocardial Infarction Induced by Beta 1-Adrenergic Receptors Activation

Abstract: Myocardial infarction (MI) is a common and life-threatening manifestation of ischemic heart diseases (IHD). The most important risk factor for MI is hypertension. Natural products from medicinal plants have gained considerable attention globally due to their preventive and therapeutic effects. Flavonoids have been found to be efficacious in ischemic heart diseases (IHD) by alleviating oxidative stress and beta-1 adrenergic activation, but the mechanistic link is not clear. We hypothesized that antioxidant flavonoid diosmetin is cardioprotective in a rat model of MI induced by beta 1-adrenergic receptor activation. To test this hypothesis, we evaluated the cardioprotective potential of diosmetin on isoproterenol-induced MI in rats by performing lead II electrocardiography (ECG), cardiac biomarkers including troponin I (cTnI) and creatinine phosphokinase (CPK), CK-myocardial band, (CK-MB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotranferase (AST) by using biolyzer 100, as well as histopathological analysis. We found that diosmetin (1 and 3 mg/kg) attenuated isoproterenol-induced elevation in the T-wave and deep Q-wave on the ECG, as well as heart-to-body weight ratio and infarction size. In addition, pretreatment with diosmetin attenuated the isoproterenol-induced increase in serum troponin I. These results demonstrate that flavonoid diosmetin may provide therapeutic benefit in myocardial infarction.

15. Enhancing an image’s compression while keeping quality standards utilizing new mathematical technology

Abstract: The rapid development of technology led to the need to keep pace with it, especially in the field of image processing, because of its importance in the need to get better results. In this paper, new discrete Chebyshev wavelet transforms (DChWT) derived from Chebyshev polynomials (ChP) were proposed and characterized. In terms of orthogonality and approximation (convergence) in the field of mathematics, (ChP) were qualified to transform into discrete wavelets called (DChWT), depending on the mother function with operators (s, r), and were used in image processing to analyze them in the low filter and the high filter so that the image is analyzed into coefficients. Proximity and detail coefficients, which lead to dividing the image into four parts, low left (LL), in which the proximity coefficients are concentrated while the rest of the parts are centered on the detail coefficients, which are high left (HL), low right (LR), and high right (HR), and image compression through the new filter, which has proven its efficiency at level (8) in our results. The results of the proposed wavelets in this work were reached in calculating quality standards in the image obtained after the compression process after comparing them with the results obtained using the standard wavelet used in HaarSymlet 2, Conflict 2, and Daubecheis 2. The most important of these standards is a mean square error (MSE), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), bit per pixel (BPP), compression ratio (CR), and table one. In this paper, the efficiency of the proposed new wavelets is explained after adding it to MATLAB and according to a specific program to drop in with the basic wavelets to take on their role in important tasks in the image processing area, like artificial intelligence

Abstract: يعد كتاب رجل الدولة احد النتاجات العلمية للاستاذ المتمرس الدكتور رياض عزيز هادي/ كلية العلوم السياسية بجامعة بغداد ، اذ شخص في مدخل الكتاب مجموعة من المفكرين وقادة الدول الذين بينوا مفهومهم عن الدولة وعن افكارهم المؤثرة في ادارتها التي يحيون فيها ابتداءً من ارسطو والفارابي وتوماس هوبر مروراً بالملك لويس الرابع عشر حينما قال ايام استئثاره بالملك "انا الدولة" ومقولته في ايام مرضه ومن ثم وفاته "سأذهب ولكن الدولة ستبقى". وهيكل وماكس ويبر وارنولد توينبي ولينين، واندرية هوريو ومنذر الشاوي، وجورج بردو. ليستخلص بعد ذلك بأن الدولة وليدة السياسة وابنتها، وجزء منها وليس العكس. واشار الى مقولة الجنرال والمهندس الفرنسي مارك رينيه مونتالمبير1714-1800 الذي عاصر ملك فرنسا لويس الخامس عشر" اذا لم تشغل نفسك بالسياسة فأن السياسة ستنشغل بك". وعلى ذلك فالإنسان وسيلة وغاية السياسة في نفس الوقت، والدولة هي احدى الوسائل والغايات السياسية الاساسية. شرح الكاتب مفهوم رجل الدولة ، بكونه مفهوم اثار الجدل والنقاش وهو من المفاهيم الاكثر تداولاً في عالم السياسة. وهو مفهوم حديث ومعاصر ارتبط بظهور الدولة الحديثة في القرن الخامس عشر الميلادي. وقد اعطى صورة واضحة عن ماهية رجل الدولة واهم الصفات والخصائص التي يجب ان يحظى بها. فرجل الدولة يجب ان يكون من الشخصيات التي تتمتع بالخبرة نتيجة التجارب الكثيرة التي مرت عليه في حياته واثرت على تكوين شخصيته. لتنتج لنا شخصاً خبيراً وحكيماً يحظى بأحترام الشعب. وهو ليس على صورة نمطية او مفهوم ثابت يصلح لكل زمان ومكان، اذ ان رسم وتكوين شخصية رجل الدولة تتأثر بالظروف السائدة في المجتمع والمحيطة به. وهو ما يعني ان تشكيل شخصية رجل الدولة تكون تدريجي وليس مفاجئ. ومن سمات رجل الدولة الاتي : (1- التحسب والتوقع، 2- اتخاذ القرار،3- الثبات والتماسك،4- تنفيذ ما يقرره). ومن اهم الصفات التي يجب ان يتمتع بها رجل الدولة هو عدم التمسك بالسلطة لمدة طويلة لاسيما اذا كان التمسك يؤدي الى اضرار بالشعب والدولة نتيجة الانقلاب العسكري او الرغبة بالتغيير نتيجة تغير مزاج الشعب عن سياسات الحاكم.

Abstract: Power generation from electrochemical devices based on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) is in great demand for both stationary and automotive applications to achieve carbon neutrality goals by 2050. In particular, SOFCs are known for their fuel-flexible operations; for example, SOFCs can operate on simple and complex renewable fuels (such as ethanol, natural gas, jet fuel, propane, etc.). Unlike H2-based fuel cells, liquid and hydrocarbon fuels in SOFCs adopt the existing fuel infrastructure and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions significantly. This article presents the potential of using metal-based SOFCs (metal cells) as highly performing and durable power generators. The metal cells technology could be the most accessible solution for using SOFCs for versatile industrial needs.

18. Direct-Fed Ethanol Metal-Supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System with Regeneration Process by Air Pulsing

Abstract: A Metal-Supported-SOFC (MS-SOFC) has been modified by infiltrating a non-noble metal ceria-zirconia supported cobalt (Co/CZ) internal reforming catalyst to improve its reforming activity and inhibit the carbon deposition or coking under ethanol steam reforming conditions. Non-noble metal catalysts can still be deactivated during long-term cell operation in a severe coking-inducing environment. Therefore, an in-situ regeneration procedure was performed by pulsing air into the anode surface to burn the deposited carbon on the anode and catalyst layer during the cell operation. Upon the cell regeneration steps, the cell voltage was recovered to its initial condition at ~0.8 V, while the peak power density of the cell showed up to 116% recovery under H2 and 111% recovery under ethanol. These data show that the air pulsing regeneration steps in the MS-SOFC can improve the lifetime by removing the coking deposit within the anode and further enhancing its electrochemical and catalytic activity.

Abstract: Stainless steel interconnects in solid oxide fuel cells can lead to chromium poisoning of the cathode, necessitating the use of protective coatings. Electrophoretic deposition is an efficient method to deposit coatings on substrates with complex microstructures. In this study, four spinel coatings; CuMn2O4, CuNi0.2Mn1.8O4, MnCo2O4, and MnFe0.34Co1.66O4, were deposited by direct-current electrophoretic deposition on flat SUS430 stainless steel substrates. The coatings were evaluated on multiple criteria, including microstructural stability, conductivity, Cr gettering ability, and the ability to act as a diffusion barrier at 700°C and 800°C. It was concluded that CuNi0.2Mn1.8O4 is an excellent candidate at temperatures at and below 700oC, while MnFe0.34Co1.66O4 coatings perform better at higher temperatures.

20. The relationship between trade liberalization and gender disparity in education: Evidence from Pakistan

Abstract: Purpose: Over the past few decades, there has been an increasing interest in understanding the relationship between trade liberalization and gender inequality in developing countries. In Pakistan, due to its social, demographic, cultural and economic problems, gender disparity in education (GDE) is still prevalent. This study examines the impact of trade reforms on gender disparity in education using micro data from Pakistan. Design/Methodology/Approach: The feasible generalized least-squares (FGLS) method is employed for empirical analysis. We used panel corrected standard errors (PCSEs) for robustness checks. Findings: The analysis reveals that a reduction in import tariffs is associated with GDE. Trade liberalization gives rise to gender disparities. We added several control variables to the baseline model for robustness checks. Regarding the control variables, average family wage income, family size, urbanization, female-to-male labor force participation and the female share of the total labor force are identified as important determinants of GDE in Pakistan. Originality or Value: This study contributes to the existing literature by studying the relationship between trade liberalization and gender disparity in education in Pakistan and employing a better measure of reductions in import tariffs for trade liberalization. We construct a provincial liberalization index. Second, this study takes into account the whole trade regime as a sample period (i.e., from 1990-2005) to assess the impacts of the trade regime as protection rates significantly reduced through this regime. Third, we measure the gender gap in education by comparing males and females' average years of schooling as opposed to previous studies that used secondary school enrolment ratios as a proxy for the gender gap in education. Fourth, we used panel data to explore the impact of trade liberalization on gender disparity in education for empirical analysis.

21. Comparative Study of Anemia Classification Algorithms for International and Newly CBC Datasets

Abstract: Data generated from modern applications and the internet in healthcare is extensive and rapidly expanding. Therefore, one of the significant success factors for any application is understanding and extracting meaningful information using digital analytics tools. These tools will positively impact the application's performance and handle the challenges that can be faced to create highly consistent, logical, and information-rich summaries. This paper contains three main objectives: First, it provides several analytics methodologies that help to analyze datasets and extract useful information from them as preprocessing steps in any classification model to determine the dataset characteristics. Also, this paper provides a comparative study of several classification algorithms by testing 12 different classifiers using two international datasets to provide an accurate indicator of their efficiency and the future possibility of combining efficient algorithms to achieve better results. Finally, building several CBC datasets for the first time in Iraq helps to detect blood diseases from different hospitals. The outcome of the analysis step is used to help researchers to select the best system structure according to the characteristics of each dataset for more organized and thorough results. Also, according to the test results, four algorithms achieved the best accuracy (Logitboost, Random Forest, XGBoost, Multilayer Perceptron). Then use the Logitboost algorithm that achieved the best accuracy to classify these new datasets. In addition, as future directions, this paper helps to investigate the possibility of combining the algorithms to utilize benefits and overcome their disadvantages.

23. Assessment of Thermal Performance of Non-Evaporative Cooling System Assisted with TEC Models at High Temperature Climate

Abstract: In this work, a non-evaporative cooling system is used with an assisted thermoelectric cooler (TEC) devices module. The system was proposed as an alternative cooling system in the high temperature climate to overcome the high energy consumption of traditional air-conditioning compression cycle. The open source Open FOAM V.9 was used to solve the transient effect of 3D model of indirect non-evaporative cooling system. The primary air temperature was set to 319 . While, the air flow was tested under four different air inlet velocities: 0.75 m/s, 1 m/s, 1.25 m/s, and 1.5 m/s. the validation shows good and acceptable agreement in COP values of the system with both experimental and theoretical works from literature within an error between (12.9 % and 9.5 %). Results show that the temperate difference value on a slice through the length of the air channel starts to decrease as velocity increasing. For example, at the last timesteps of each velocity, the temperature difference reaches about (~10 oK) when velocity is (0.75 m/s) starting from the first quarter of the channel, while the same difference in temperature not reached until the half way of the channel from the channel inlet when velocity is (1.5 m/s). Revealing that even though the percentage increase in the velocity is about 50%, the change in the temperature difference value between the inlet and outlet of the channel is about 1.2%. The local Nusselt number shows that steady state heat transfer reached very quickly as the velocity increased (i.e., at 0.75 m/s at 12s while for 1.5 m/s at 4s). Notwithstanding, as the time processed the ( increases for all cases but becomes lower as the velocity increased. .

24. Simulation of laminar flow passing through a T-splitter plate and bridge pier

Abstract: The present analysis focuses on the investigation of the two-dimensional flow passing a bridge pier nearby a splitter plate in different regimes of a laminar flow. The splitter plate is T-shaped and two different cases have been studied based on the form of the splitter plate relative to the bridge pier. The analysis is implemented for steady and incompressible water flow in an open channel. The current study deals with velocity vectors, drag coefficients, lift coefficients, and skin friction. The analysis of the velocity vector gave a good indicator about the separation process and dissipation, which occurs at the splitter plate before the occurrence of these processes at the front face of the pier, especially the flow separation process. Moreover, the velocity vector gave a good image about the flow direction at two regions, the first region is located between the rear portion of the splitter plate and the frontal face of the pier, while the second region is the wake region, which is located at the downstream of the pier. Negative drag coefficient, lift coefficient, and skin friction coefficient values are obtained from the analysis. This happens due to the existence of the splitter plate that leads to the reduction of these values.

25. Effect of Different Beverages on Intraocular Pressure

Abstract: Purpose: Young individuals regularly consume a wide range of drinks with caffeine content. In this study, healthy young subjects' intraocular pressure (IOP) was evaluated in relation to energy drinks, tea,coffee and water. Methodology: A prospective longitudinal, multi-centered study was conducted from March 2022 to August 2022. Data was collected through non-probability consecutive sampling technique. A total of 100 subjects of both genders (male and female) age ranging between 15 to 30 years were included. A thorough ophthalmic examination was required for subjects to satisfy a set of study protocol, that included not suffering any ocular diseases, intraocular pressure of 10-20 mmHg, absence of systemic diseases. Exclusion criteria included patient who had undergone anterior and posterior segment ophthalmic surgeries. The participants were randomized into four groups at random. Each group comprises of 25 subjects. IOP was measured before as baseline and after 60 min of intake. SPSS was used for data analysis. Results: Out of 100 subjects 77 were female and 33 were male. The first group consumed tea, the second group coffee, the third group energy drinks, and the fourth group water. Baseline IOP on average in each group water, tea, coffee and energy drink intake was 15.58 ± 1.79, 15.49 ± 1.87, 15.23 ± 1.05, 15.68 ± 1.32 respectively. While IOP was 14.89±2.01, 15.01 ± 1.23, 15.67±1.98 and 16.01 ± 2.33 after 60 minutes of consuming water, tea, coffee, and energy drinks. IOP fluctuations between before and after consuming water, tea, coffee, and energy drinks were 0.69, 0.48, -0.75, and -1.29. Practical Implication: This study has important clinical implications since it may help people realise they should limit their intake of certain beverages in order to lower their intraocular pressure (IOP). No research on the impact of beverages on intraocular pressure (IOP) has been done in Pakistan, as far as we are aware. This led to the formulation of the current investigation. Conclusion: Two groups demonstrated an increase in IOP, whereas the IOP in the other two groups declined. Compared to tea consumption, which has a modest quantity of caffeine, consuming coffee and energy drinks raises intraocular pressure. This study suggested avoidance of coffee and energy drinks intake should be emphasized prior to IOP measurement to avoid any potential error. Abstract: Background Low-dose corticosteroids have been shown to reduce mortality for patients with COVID-19 requiring oxygen or ventilatory support (non-invasive mechanical ventilation, invasive mechanical ventilation, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation). We evaluated the use of a higher dose of corticosteroids in this patient group. Methods This randomised, controlled, open-label platform trial (Randomised Evaluation of COVID-19 Therapy [RECOVERY]) is assessing multiple possible treatments in patients hospitalised for COVID-19. Eligible and consenting adult patients with clinical evidence of hypoxia (ie, receiving oxygen or with oxygen saturation Findings Between May 25, 2021, and May 13, 2022, 1272 patients with COVID-19 and hypoxia receiving no oxygen (eight [1%]) or simple oxygen only (1264 [99%]) were randomly allocated to receive usual care plus higher dose corticosteroids (659 patients) versus usual care alone (613 patients, of whom 87% received low-dose corticosteroids during the follow-up period). Of those randomly assigned, 745 (59%) were in Asia, 512 (40%) in the UK, and 15 (1%) in Africa. 248 (19%) had diabetes and 769 (60%) were male. Overall, 123 (19%) of 659 patients allocated to higher dose corticosteroids versus 75 (12%) of 613 patients allocated to usual care died within 28 days (rate ratio 1·59 [95% CI 1·20–2·10]; p=0·0012). There was also an excess of pneumonia reported to be due to non-COVID infection (64 cases [10%] vs 37 cases [6%]; absolute difference 3·7% [95% CI 0·7–6·6]) and an increase in hyperglycaemia requiring increased insulin dose (142 [22%] vs 87 [14%]; absolute difference 7·4% [95% CI 3·2–11·5]). Interpretation In patients hospitalised for COVID-19 with clinical hypoxia who required either no oxygen or simple oxygen only, higher dose corticosteroids significantly increased the risk of death compared with usual care, which included low-dose corticosteroids. The RECOVERY trial continues to assess the effects of higher dose corticosteroids in patients hospitalised with COVID-19 who require non-invasive ventilation, invasive mechanical ventilation, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Abstract: Background: The skeletal correlations in a sagittal plane do not correlate to the dental relationship each time. For orthodontic treatment planning, differential identification In the past, the terms overjet and overbite were used to examine sagittal jaw connections. The goal of the study was to see how closely a dental characteristic (overjet) correlated with skeletal angles (ANB, WITTS). Objectives: This research aims to see if occlusal characteristics are used in evaluating cranial and facial connections in the vertical and sagittal planes. The sagittal connection of upper with lower teeth is studied using the metrics overjet. Methodology: This study is done at the orthodontics department, Institute of Dentistry, LUMHS, Jamshoro. The total sample size was 110, random sampling technique was utilized to select the subject. For the patients coming to the orthodontic department data was collected from previous and new patients. The overjet and overbite value will be measured on dental casts using vernier caliper. The impression of patient will be taken by irreversible hydrocolloid and the cast will be poured with orthodontic hard plaster. This study also includes pre-treatment digital cephalometric xrays.

Abstract: In the past few years, due to the increased usage of internet, smartphones, sensors and digital cameras, more than a million images are generated and uploaded daily on social media platforms. The massive generation of such multimedia contents has resulted in an exponential growth in the stored and shared data. Certain ever-growing image repositories, consisting of medical images, satellites images, surveillance footages, military reconnaissance, fingerprints and scientific data etc., has increased the motivation for developing robust and efficient search methods for image retrieval as per user requirements. Hence, it is need of the hour to search and retrieve relevant images efficiently and with good accuracy. The current research focuses on Content-based Image Retrieval (CBIR) and explores well-known transfer learning-based classifiers such as VGG16, VGG19, EfficientNetB0, ResNet50 and their variants. These deep transfer leaners are trained on three benchmark image datasets i.e., CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100 and CINIC-10 containing 10, 100, and 10 classes respectively. In total 16 customized models are evaluated on these benchmark datasets and 96% accuracy is achieved for CIFAR-10 while 83% accuracy is achieved for CIFAR-100.

30. Association between Myopia and Glaucoma; A Cross-sectional Study

Abstract: Myopia is a major cause of worldwide avoidable blindness and its prevalence increasing rapidly. Objective: To investigate the prevalence of glaucomatous optic nerve damage with various myopia levels as well as the relationship between myopia and glaucoma. Methods: A multi-centered cross-sectional study was conducted from January 2022 to July 2022. 250 individuals between the ages of 40 and 65 were recruited using non-probability purposive sampling technique. Mild, moderate and severe degree of myopia who had never had any surgery were included. All subjects underwent refraction and the optic disc ratio was assessed by slit lamp biomicroscopy, perimetry was performed to evaluate the visual field defects and IOP was determined using air puff tonometer. Frequency of glaucoma indicated by presence of visual field defects, glaucomatous optic disc. SPSS software was used for data analysis. Results: 145 (58%) of the 250 total subjects were female and 105(42%) were male. 67 (26.8%) people had refractive errors of mild myopia up to 3D. While 85 (34%) had a severe degree of myopia (refractive error greater than 6D) and 98 (39.2%) had a moderate degree. No intragroup's intraocular pressure showed a significantly distinct configuration. Age-related VF anomalies (a larger blind region, a vertical cup to disc ratio, and an unjustified defect) were associated with both glaucoma and high myopia. Findings from the study indicated that glaucoma risk increased for those with high myopia (p=0.001). Conclusion: High myopia is strongly associated with glaucomatous changes and a high prevalence of optic disc damage.

31. DEHUMIDIFIER DRYING OF SEAGRASS SIMPLICIA AT LOW TEMPERATURE FOR ANTIOXIDANT AND PHENOLIC PRESERVATION

Abstract: Syringodium isoetifollium is seagrass a marine plant which is mostly found in Indonesian sea waters. Phenol is a kind of sensitive heat compound which will damage at high temperatures. This research aimed to study the effect of temperature using a dehumidified drying machine on the quantity of phenol content and testing of this antioxidant activity and the evaluation of drying characteristics of seagrasses such as decrease of moisture content, the distribution of temperature drying relative humidity, and energy consumption. In this research, the independent variaable were tempeartures (30 °C, 40 °C, and 50 °C) and the independent variable were the content of phenol and antioxidant activity of the seagrasses. The phenol content of each extract was measured with a microplate reader using a Follin-Ciocalteu reagent. The antioxidant activity was measured with the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. The result showed that the highest content of phenolic compounds (80.42766 ± 0.409a) and antioxidant activity (88.4185 ± 32.0709a) was found in the dehumidified dryer at a temperature of 40 °C. There were significant differences between temperatures of 30 °C and 50 °C. Dehumidifier drying at 30 °C, 40 °C, and 50 °C required 13 hours, 12 hours, and 7.5 hours to reach the final moisture content of seagrass 18-20% from the initial moisture content of 89.4% ± 0.04% (wb). The total phenol content and antioxidant activity with a temperature treatment of 40 °C dehumidifier drying machine showed the best results compared to temperatures of 30 °C, 50 °C, and oven at 40 °C. Based on the same temperature treatment, dehumidifier drying requires a faster time (12 hours) than oven drying (17 hours). The appropriate temperature and time of drying can produce the optimal total phenol and antioxidant activity.

Abstract: North Semarang District is one of the areas that is often affected by tidal floods. This study will discuss flood distribution through tidal flood susceptibility mapping and identify adaptations. The first step is to carry out flood susceptibility mapping using DEMNAS data and sea tides. The second stage is to determine the key areas based on the tidal flood susceptibility map made. Key areas are useful for identifying forms of community adaptation to tidal floods through data collection in the form of observations and interviews. The mapping results show that the flood susceptibility area reaches 582.89 Ha or around 50% of the area of North Semarang District. The key areas with high susceptibility are settlements on Jalan Tambakrejo, Tanjungmas Village and it is known that the community responds by adapting patterns to changes in physical infrastructure, economic activity, and social development.

34. Reinforcement of single-walled carbon nanotubes on polydimethylsiloxane membranes for CO2, O2, and N2 permeability/selectivity

Abstract: In this study, PDMS incorporated with SWCNTs have been fabricated via solution casting method for industrial applications and characterized by the analyses of SEM, FTIR, TGA, AFM, and MST. The modified membranes were further analyzed for CO2, O2, and N2 gas permeability. The strategic membranes have five different weight ratios (0.013, 0.025, 0.038, 0.050, 0.063) compared to neat PDMS membranes. The even distribution of SWCNTs in PDMS provided results that showed improvement in thermal stability. However, mechanical strength has been weakened with increased concentration of nanofiller because of the increase in the number of SWCNTs by increases that imperfections become more severe. The designed polymeric membranes with good thermal stability and adequate mechanical strength can be used for the selectivity and permeability of CO2, O2, and N2 gases. The effect of the PDMS-SWCNTs on gas permeability has been studied. 0.063 wt.% SWCNTs presented the maximum permeability of CO2 gas while maximum O2 and N2 gas permeability have been obtained by 0.013 wt.% SWCNTs. The ideal selectivity of mixed (50:50) gas conditions has been tested. The maximum CO2/N2 ideal selectivity was obtained by 0.050 and 0.063 wt.% SWCNTs while maximum O2/N2 ideal selectivity obtained by 0.050 wt.% SWCNTs. Therefore, the fabrication of this novel SWCNTs-PDMS membrane may lead to separating the industrial exhaust and be used as a potential membrane for environmental remediation in the future.

35. Computer Vision Syndrome among Students in Islamic Boarding School during COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic, computer vision syndrome (CVS) caused by the implementation of online learning was an inevitable effect. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of using the Eye Care and Eye Pro Protect Your Vision applications as a step to treat and prevent the severity of CVS. A total of 16 students who participated in virtual classroom learning (81.20% female, 87.50% laptop users with heavy duration, 93.70% experienced CVS) were included. The most frequent symptom in CVS subjects was eye pain (96.5%), while the most intense symptom was a feeling of double vision (15.9%). The use of applications can significantly reduced the duration of laptop use (p=0.025) using the Mc Nemar test. The Eye Care application reduced symptoms by 75%, while the Eye Pro was 62.5%. The Eye Care application can provide a decrease in the duration of screen time and provide rest time for better eyes. Recommendations for preventing CVS based on causal factors can be adjusted to reduce the burden of online study, increase rest time and use screen time reminder applications.

The study aims to identify, discuss, explain, and categorize the grammatical errors, especially errors in present indefinite tense sentences committed by the ESL learners of 6th grade at Cantt Public High School, Sialkot, Pakistan, due to overgeneralization in written exercises. The study gathered data through a worksheet task comprising 10 items of translation sentences from Urdu to English and ten items of English fill-in-the-blanks comprised of grammatical use of present simple tense and agreement morpheme. Corder’s model (1967) of error analysis has opted to analyze the errors in the present indefinite tense. This study pays great attention to overgeneralization in Present Indefinite tense sentences of ESL learners of 6th grade. The learners overgeneralize in the use of rules used for verb forms and auxiliary verbs. The present study also found that a lack of knowledge of the rules of the target language, in addition, to overgeneralization, is the cause of such errors, for instance, the inappropriate use of prepositions. The findings suggest that teachers of English should focus their attention on the troublesome aspect of the present simple tense while also encouraging students to apply the drill practice to the study of the present indefinite tense. This study has a few limitations as it was not feasible for researchers to analyze all kinds of tenses and find all types of errors according to the opted model due to time restraints.

Abstract: Squid is one of the non-fish resources that have economic value and is a target species in demersal fisheries activities with squid fishing gear and stick-held deep net. This research aims to determine the biological aspects of squid (Loligo edulis) such as length frequency distribution, length-weight relationship, sex ratio, gonadal maturity level, gonadal maturity index, size at first caught, and size at first maturity of the gonads. The method used in this research was a descriptive survey. The sample collection method used systematic random sampling and purposive sampling techniques. This observation was carried out on March 7 to July 30, 2022, at the Belawan Ocean Fishing Port and Tanjung Balai Port. The results showed that the average length distribution of squid was 17.73 cm. The relationship between the length and weight of squid is negative allometric. The sex ratio is 1:1.05. The negative allometric growth pattern is dominated by Gonadal Maturity Level (GML) I and GML II. The highest GML value for male squid was 2.06% at GML III, and the highest GML value for female squid was 1.92% at GML III. The average size of the caught squid length (Lc) is 10.42 cm. Abstract: A wide variety of applications are used in lossless image compression models, especially in medical, space, and aerial imaging domains. Predictive coding improves the performance of lossless image compression, which highly relies on entropy error. Lower entropy error results in better image compression. The main focus of this research is to improve the prediction process by minimizing the entropy error. This paper proposes a novel idea for improved Median Edge Detection (iMED) predictor for lossless image compression. MED predictor is improved using k-means clustering and finding the local context of pixels using 20-Dimensional Difference (DDx20) for input images and updates the cluster weights using learning rates (µi) to minimize the prediction errors of pixels. The performance of the proposed predictor is evaluated on the standard grey-scale test images dataset and KODAK image dataset. Results are obtained and compared based on entropy error, bits per pixel (bpp), and computational running time in seconds(s) with the MED, GAP, FLIF, and LBP predictors. The performance of the proposed iMED predictor improves significantly in terms of the entropy error, bpp, and computational running time in seconds(s) after comparison with different state-of-the-art predictors.

Metode penelitian ini yaitu eksperimental menggunakan 24 tikus wistar jantan, dibagi dalam 6 kelompok perlakuan yaitu ekstrak dosis 200, 300, 400 (mg/kgBB), kontrol positif (ekstrak meniran komersil), kontrol pelarut (Na.CMC 0,5%), dan kontrol normal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk Sosialisasi yaitu dengan memaparkan materi dan menampilkan video gerakan DAGUSIBU serta pemberian informasi dan kegiatan Tanya jawab bersama masyarakat. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh masyarakat Desa Ranooha Raya, Kabupaten Konawe Selatan sebayak 50 orang. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu masyarakat terpapar informasi penggunaan obat yang benar, dengan demikian pengetahuan masyarakat diharapkan meningkat tentang penggunaan obat. 44. Encrypting of Text Based on Chaotic Map

Abstract: Background: Due to the internet's recent rapid expansion, security has become a crucial issue when transmitting digital data via unsecure channels. This can be applied by employing dependable encryption methods. This research brought forward a text encryption system order to create safe databases. Materials and Methods: The research uses a chaotic map based on a logistic map Due to its widespread application in scientific research. Several processes are used to carry out the encryption activity. Firstly, the text is formatted in 2D matrix of numbers converted into vector. Secondly, to create a sequence for using it in the encryption process, the chaotic system is employed. Thirdly, sorting the generated vector in order to scramble the text values based on it. The final step involves encoding the scrambled text using a mathematical operation. Also, there are many steps used in the decryption process. In the first step, the same mathematical technique is used to decrypt the encrypted text after the identical chaotic sequence has been generated. In the second step, the scrambled values are descrambled to obtain the decrypted text. Results: The experimental results demonstrate that the suggested approach obtain an excellent value of entropy equal to (0.9955) and Correlation coefficient equal to (-0.0024) and Avalanche effect equal to (0.5120) as well as the proposed system examined under NIST tests and obtain a good results (>0.01) and examined for multiple other files and obtain a good results, in terms of execution time tests, the proposed system applied in a short amount of time. Conclusion: The proposed system matched the criteria for encryption techniques in terms of high sensitivity for initial values, high security, high randomizing Whatever text is to be encrypted. Also the proposed system can be applied for real time application due to its Short implementation time.

45. Online Education and Internet Connectivity Problems: A Perspective of the Teachers and Undergraduate Dental Students

Abstract: OBJECTIVES Assessment of difficulties and glitches regarding internet connectivity faced by undergraduates and teachers during online learning. METHODOLOGY This study was conducted using an online questionnaire. 186 undergraduate students and teachers were included from CMH, Lahore. The duration of this study was 3 months. . RESULTS There was found to be no statistical difference in reluctance to use online platforms (p=0.17), frequent loss of internet (p=0.181), difficulty in dealing with the loss of connection (p=0.181), disturbance in planned schedule due to loss of connection (p=0.213), lagging behind in schedule (p=0.630), inability to convey the message (p=0.093), lack of internet in remote areas (p=0.302), lack of training to deal with connection problems (p=0.766), poor connection due to technical problems in devices (p=0.089) and poor quality internet (p=0.740) among faculty and students. CONCLUSION The problems due to internet connectivity issues in online education were faced more by students as compared to faculty.

Abstract: Fractures in bone, a tissue critical in protecting other organs, affect patients' quality of life and have a heavy economic burden on societies. Based on regenerative medicine and bone tissue engineering approaches, stem cells have become a promising and attractive strategy for repairing bone fractures via differentiation into bone-forming cells and production of favorable mediators. Recent evidence suggests that stem cell-derived exosomes could mediate the therapeutic effects of their counterpart cells and provide a cell-free therapeutic strategy in bone repair. Since bone is a highly vascularized tissue, coupling angiogenesis and osteogenesis is critical in bone fracture healing; thus, developing therapeutic strategies to promote angiogenesis will facilitate bone regeneration and healing. To this end, stem cell-derived exosomes with angiogenic potency have been developed to improve fracture healing. This review summarizes the effects of stem cell-derived exosomes on the repair of bone tissue, focusing on the angiogenesis process.

Abstract: Cyathostomins are the most common and highly prevalent parasites of horses worldwide. Historically, the control of cyathostomins has mainly relied on the routine use of anthelmintic products. Increasing reports on anthelmintic resistance (AR) in cyathostomins are concerning. A potential method proposed for detecting emerging AR in cyathostomins has been estimating the egg reappearance period (ERP). This paper reviews the data available for the ERP of cyathostomins against the three major classes of anthelmintics, macrocyclic lactones, tetrahydropyrimidines, and benzimidazoles. Published peer-reviewed original research articles were obtained from three databases (PubMed, CAB Direct and Web of Science) and were evaluated for their inclusion in a systematic review. Subsets of articles were then subjected to a review of ERP data. A total of 54 (of 134) studies published between 1972 and 2022 met the criteria for inclusion in the systematic review. Until the beginning of 2022, there was no agreed definition of the ERP; eight definitions of ERP were identified in the literature, complicating the comparison between studies. Additionally, potential risk factors for the shortening of the ERP, including previous anthelmintic use and climate, were frequently not described. Reports of shortened ERP for moxidectin and ivermectin are frequent: 20 studies that used comparable ERP definitions reported shortened moxidectin and ivermectin ERPs of 35 and 28 days, respectively. It is unclear whether the ERPs of these anthelmintics reduced to such levels are due to the development of AR or some biological factors related to horses, cyathostomin species, and/or the environment. The ERPs for other anthelmintics, such as fenbendazole and pyrantel, were frequently not reported due to established resistance against these drugs. Future research in horses is required to understand the mechanism(s) behind the shortening of ERP for cyathostomins. Based on this systematic review, we propose recommendations for future ERP studies.

50. Evaluation The Water Quality of Al- Rusafa Treatment Plant in Baghdad City / Al-Rusafa Side Using Several Water Quality Indices

Abstract: The present study was conducted drinking water treatment plant located in districts which is (Al-Rusafa) in Baghdad city. The study aims to assess the water quality produced from the above plant using various water quality indices. Twelve physical and chemical parameters have been tested which are pH, turbidity, electrical conductivity, calcium, magnesium, chloride, total hardness, alkalinity, sulfate, sodium and total dissolved solids. Five different approaches and methodologies of water quality indices were applied to get the level of pollution during a period of nine months, starting from November 2021 until July 2022.The values WAV WQI for water treatment pant indicate that the water quality was good. Also, the results of the MNE WQI showed that water treatment plant produced clean water, but Al-Rusafa treatment plant in April, the water was very clean. The values of (weighted method) indicated that the water quality for water treatment plant was good. It was found that water treatment plant studied gives excellent quality using based on values of CCME and BCWQI indices. It is found that the values of all chemical and physical parameters are within Iraqi standards. Finally, in the present study, many statistical equation were found for the purpose of calculating the water quality index for water treatment plant studied with a proper coefficient of determinations.
