We find the generating function for the permutation class $\mathcal{A}'=\text{Av}(52341,53241,52431,35142,42513,351624)$ whose permutations index local complete intersection Schubert varieties. The method we apply is the extension of how Albert and Brignall discover the generating function for $\mathcal{A}=\text{Av}(4231,35142,42513,351624)$ in their paper. This completes the enumerations of all classical permutation classes indexing certain types of Schubert varieties.

症例は79 歳男性である. 脳梗塞と抗利尿ホルモン分泌異常症候群(SIADH) の既往を有しており, 四肢\nの脱力, 感覚障害(C4以下に右半身優位の温痛覚障害あり), 膀胱直腸障害が出現したため当科に入院した.\n眼科的に異常所見はみられなかった. 頸髄MRI では, C3, C4, C5/6レベルに大小の偏在性病変を認めた. 血\n液検査でNMO-IgG 陽性であったことからNMO spectrum disorders(NMOSD)と診断した.ステロイドパル\nス療法を施行し症状は軽度改善した. 本症例のように高齢発症で, 短い, 非連続性, 偏在性の脊髄病変を来し\n得るNMOSD 例もあり, 診断に際し注意が必要であると考えられた.

Background: Nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) is one of the most common Gram-negative pathogens in otitis media and exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. NTHi has been reported to invade bronchial epithelial cells. This penetration enables NTHi to evade the host immune system and antibiotics, and it seems to be related to the intractable features of these diseases. However, the precise mechanism of the invasion has been unknown. We hypothesized that protein-E, an outer membrane protein of NTHi, plays a role in this penetration into bronchial epithelial cells. Results: We utilized two NTHi strains. NTHi efficiently attached to plate-bound vitronectin (254–309 / field at 1,000× magnification) and this attachment was blocked by pretreatment with protein-E peptide (PE84–108). The blockade of adhesion was dependent on the concentration of PE84–108. NTHi strains invaded bronchial epithelial cells and the intracellular bacteria were localized in early endosomes. Furthermore, intracellular invasion of NTHi was also blocked by PE84–108, but not by Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) peptide. Pretreatment with PE84–108 significantly prevented cells from being invaded by both NTHi strains, which was confirmed by fluorescent microscope observation. In addition, pretreatment with PE84–108 significantly reduced percentages of CFU after gentamicin treatment of cells per input CFU. Conclusions: These results suggest that NTHi does not directly bind to the cell surface, but binds to host vitronectin that is bound to the cell surface, via bacterial protein-E. Bacterial protein-E and host vitronectin play a role in the attachment to bronchial epithelial cells and is also involved in the subsequent intracellular invasion of NTHi. A novel vaccine or treatment strategy targeting the protein-E-vitronectin axis may prevent respiratory intracellular infection of NTHi and may lead to better clinical outcomes., doctoral, 医学系研究科, 甲第718号

We report on laser-excited angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) in the electron-doped cuprate Sm(1.85)Ce(0.15)CuO(4-d). The data show the existence of a nodal hole-pocket Fermi-surface both in the normal and superconducting states. We prove that its origin is long-range antiferromagnetism by an analysis of the coherence factors in the main and folded bands. This coexistence of long-range antiferromagnetism and superconductivity implies that electron-doped cuprates are two-Fermi-surface superconductors. To discover susceptibility genes of late-onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD), we conducted a 3-stage genome-wide association study (GWAS) using three populations: Japanese from the Japanese Genetic Consortium for Alzheimer Disease (JGSCAD), Koreans, and Caucasians from the Alzheimer Disease Genetic Consortium (ADGC). In Stage 1, we evaluated data for 5,877,918 genotyped and imputed SNPs in Japanese cases (n = 1,008) and controls (n = 1,016). Genome-wide significance was observed with 12 SNPs in the APOE region.
