Azygia hwangtsiyui (Trematoda, Azygiidae), a neglected parasite of predatory fishes, is little-known in terms of its molecular epidemiology, population ecology and phylogenetic study. In the present study, the complete mitochondrial genome of A. hwangtsiyui was sequenced and characterized: it is a 13,973 bp circular DNA molecule and encodes 36 genes (12 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes) as well as two non-coding regions. The A+T content of the A. hwangtsiyui mitogenome is 59.6% and displays a remarkable bias in nucleotide composition with a negative AT skew (–0.437) and a positive GC skew (0.408). Phylogenetic analysis based on concatenated amino acid sequences of twelve protein-coding genes reveals that A. hwangtsiyui is placed in a separate clade, suggesting that it has no close relationship with any other trematode family. This is the first characterization of the A. hwangtsiyui mitogenome, and the first reported mitogenome of the family Azygiidae. These novel datasets of the A. hwangtsiyui mt genome represent a meaningful resource for the development of mitochondrial markers for the identification, diagnostics, taxonomy, homology and phylogenetic relationships of trematodes.

The discovery and precise manipulation of atomic-size conductive ferroelectric domain defects, such as geometrically confined walls, offer new opportunities for a wide range of prospective electronic devices, and the so-called walltronics is emerging consequently. Here we demonstrate the highly stable and fatigue-resistant nonvolatile ferroelectric memory device based on deterministic creation and erasure of conductive domain wall geometrically confined inside a topological domain structure. By introducing a pair of delicately designed co-axial electrodes onto the epitaxial BiFeO3 film, one can easily create quadrant center topological polar domain structure. More importantly, a reversible switching of such center topological domain structure between the convergent state with highly conductive confined wall and the divergent state with insulating confined wall can be realized, hence resulting in an apparent resistance change with a large On/Off ratio > 104 and a technically preferred readout current (up to 40 nA). Owing to the topological robustness of the center domain structure, the device exhibits the excellent restoration repeatability over 106 cycles and a long retention over 12 days (> 106 s). This work demonstrates a good example for implementing the exotic polar topologies in high-performance nanoscale devices, and would spur more interest in exploring the rich emerging applications of these exotic topological states.

In MATLAB software, under the condition of knowing the ruled surface equation, knowing the two leads control vertices and knowing the two leads data point, this paper constructs the ruled surface model by using the basic theory of computer-aided geometric design and B-spline curves and surfaces, realizes the interactive design between the surface construction and the computer, and gives the corresponding example. The construction of ruled surface provides a prerequisite for subsequent model-based optimization analysis problems.

The mitogenome of Brentisentisyangtzensis is 13,864 bp in length and has the circular structure typical of metazoans. It contains 36 genes: 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), two ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs) and 12 protein-encoding genes (PCGs). All genes are transcribed from the same strand. Thirteen overlapping regions were found in the mitochondrial genome. The overall A+T content of B.yangtzensis is 68.3% versus 31.7% of G+C content (A = 27.8%, T = 40.5%, C = 9.0%, G = 22.7%). B.yangtzenensis (Illiosentidae) and Leptorhynchoidesthecatus (Rhadinorhynchidae) form a sister clade, showing the relatively close relationship between the Illiosentidae and the Rhadinorhynchidae. The mitochondrial gene arrangements of acanthocephalan species are relatively conserved, with only a few translocations of tRNAs (trnS1, trnS2, trnV, and trnK) detected. An identical gene order was found both in a sister clade (Centrorhynchusaluconis and Plagiorhynchustransversus) and across different classes (B.yangtzensis (Palaeacanthocephala), Acanthosentischeni (Eoacanthocephala) and Macracanthorhynchushirudinaceus (Archiacanthocephala), Oncicolaluehei and L.thecatus (Palaeacanthocephala)). More studies and more sequences of acanthocephalan species are needed to gain a clear understanding of the phylogenetic relationships.

Stress is an important contributing factor in the outbreak of infectious fish diseases. To comprehensively understand the impact of catecholamine stress hormone norepinephrine (NE) on the pathogenicity of Aeromonas hydrophila, we assessed variations in bacterial growth, virulence‐related genes expression and virulence factors activity after NE addition in serum‐SAPI medium. Further, we assessed the effects of NE on A. hydrophila virulence in vivo by challenging fish with pathogenic strain AH196 and following with or without NE injection. The NE‐associated stimulation of A. hydrophila strain growth was not linear‐dose‐dependent, and only 100 μM, or higher concentrations, could stimulate growth. Application of multivariate statistical analysis and system clustering analysis method, based on the detection index of suspended solids (SS), water temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), total nitrogen (TN), dissolved total nitrogen (DTN), chemical oxygen demand (CODMn), ammonia nitrogen (NH4 +-N), nitrate nitrogen (NO3 --N), chlorophyll (Chla), dissolved total phosphorus (DTP), dissolved inorganic phosphorus (DIP), total phosphorus (TP) and alkalinity were measured, analyzed on 21 monitoring sections of Si River and major tributaries. The results show: Nitrogen and phosphorus are the main pollution components in 2013-2014 of Si River. The results provide basic data and theoretical basis for pollution control of Si River.

In January 2010, the Suining Ms5.0 earthquake occurred in central Sichuan Basin, with the epicenter in Moxi-Longnvsi structural belt and a focal depth of 10 km. Based on structural interpretations of seismic profiles in this area, we recognized a regional detachment fault located at a depth of 9–10 km in the Presinian basement of the Suining area, transferring its slipping from NW to SE orientation. This detachment fault slipped from NW to SE, and underwent several shears and bends, which caused the basement to be rolled in and the overlaying strata fold deformation. It formed a fault-bend fold in the Moxi area with an approximate slip of 4 km. Correspondingly, the formation of the Moxi anticline is related to the detachment fault. With the earthquake's epicenter on the ramp of the detachment fault, there is a new point of view that the Suining earthquake was caused by re-activation of this basement detachment fault. Since the Late Jurassic period, under the influence of regional tectonic stress, the detachment fault transfered its slip from the Longmen Mountains (LMS) thrust belt to the hinterland of the Sichuan Basin, and finally to the piedmont zone of southwest Huayingshan (HYS), which indicates that HYS might be the final front area of the LMS thrust belt.

Several traceability methods of low voltage ac-dc transfer standard are introduced here. The components and theories of the calibration system including step down, resistance voltage divider, binary and decimal inductive voltage divider are briefly analyzed, also the characteristics of the traceability methods and the important factors that affects the accuracy of the measurements are pointed out.

Nanofluids, liquids containing suspensions of nanoparticles, have been reported by some groups to exhibit substantially higher thermal conductivity than that of their corresponding base fluids that cannot be explained by existing theories. However, the reported high thermal conductivity sometimes cannot be reproduced by others. Potential mechanisms leading to this enhancement are still under scrutiny. In this paper, we first take a critical review of heat conduction mechanisms proposed in literature, and then summarize our work. Our experimental studies demonstrate that nanoparticle clustering is the key contributor to the thermal conductivity enhancement. Guided by this insight, we use graphite flakes as additives and develop a method to prepare stable graphite suspensions with large thermal conductivity enhancement in water and oil. We also observe thermal percolation phenomenon and explained the phenomenon based on combined optical and AC impedance spectroscopy studies. We demonstrate temperature regulation of electrical and thermal properties of graphite suspensions through solid–liquid phase change, which may potentially be useful in energy systems in the future., United States. Reversible temperature tuning of electrical and thermal conductivities of materials is of interest for many applications, including seasonal regulation of building temperature, thermal storage and sensors. Here we introduce a general strategy to achieve large contrasts in electrical and thermal conductivities using first-order phase transitions in percolated composite materials. Internal stress generated during a phase transition modulates the electrical and thermal contact resistances, leading to large contrasts in the electrical and thermal conductivities at the phase transition temperature. With graphite/hexadecane suspensions, the electrical conductivity changes 2 orders of magnitude and the thermal conductivity varies up to 3.2 times near 18 °C.
