Adrenal tuberculosis (TB) is a rare disease, which is difficult to diagnose because of its atypical symptoms. We reported a 41-year-old female who was admitted to hospital due to a left adrenal tumor, which was found in health examination without any symptoms. Abdominal CT showed a mass in her left adrenal. The results of blood test were normal. A retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy was carried out, and adrenal TB was finally pathologically diagnosed. Following this, examinations focusing on TB were conducted which revealed negative results except for T-cell enzyme-linked immunospot. After the operation, the hormone level was normal. However, a wound infection occurred, which was recovered after antituberculosis treatment. In conclusion, even if there is no evidence of TB, we should be alert when diagnosing adrenal masses. Examinations of pathology, radiography, and hormone play important roles in determining the definite diagnosis of adrenal TB.

In this paper, an improved Halbach array structure of a direct-drive linear motor for wave energy conversion is proposed, and its magnetic circuit structure is modeled and the induced electromotive force (EMF) generated by vertical wave energy conversion is deduced. Then, using the internal and external parameters of the wave energy conversion direct-drive motor, that is, four internal parameters of the magnetic circuit topology and two external parameters of the mover motion, the influence of these parameters on the induced EMF of the direct-drive motor in the wave energy conversion is analyzed. Since the theoretical analysis results of the model are consistent with the results of the two kinds of permanent magnet materials analyzed by the finite element method (FEM), the model and analysis method of the direct drive motor are correct. The investigation show that the modeling method proposed in this paper can be used to optimize the energy conversion of the direct-drive motor from two aspects: the internal parameters of the magnetic circuit topology of the direct-drive motor and the external parameters of the mover motion.

An important mechanism of carbonate mineral growth is dissolution-reprecipitation, including the transformation of amorphous precursor to crystalline carbonates, and coarsening (ripening) of fine carbonate crystals. However, the mechanistic details of cation exchange associated with carbonate mineral growth via a dissolution-reprecipitation process are still not well understood. In this study, we used Mg isotopes to probe the exchange of Mg between aqueous solutions and norsethite [BaMg(CO3)2] by systematic synthesis experiments. Norsethite is a model double carbonate, with a general formula of AB(CO3)2, where A and B stand for two different divalent ions. Formation of norsethite is comprised of three stages, including: (1) precipitation of barium-magnesium (Ba-Mg) amorphous carbonate; (2) transformation of Ba-Mg amorphous carbonate to nano-crystalline norsethite by fast dissolution-reprecipitation; and (3) coarsening (ripening) of nano-norsethite by slow dissolution-reprecipitation. Magnesium isotopes displayed distinct fractionation behaviors in each of the three stages. The Mg isotope fractionation factors (∆26Mgsolid-aq) associated with precipitation of Ba-Mg amorphous carbonate were slightly negative and temperature-dependent, from –0.83‰ at 30 °C to –0.53‰ at 70 °C. During the transformation of Ba-Mg amorphous carbonate to nano-crystalline norsethite, isotopically light Mg isotopes were further enriched in the solid phase, with apparent ∆26Mgsolid-aq decreasing to –2.12‰ at 30 °C and –1.56‰ at 70 °C. In the ripening stage, norsethite became isotopically heavier, with ∆26Mgsolid-aq increasing up to –1.95‰ at 30 °C and –1.17‰ at 70 °C. The experimental results show that non-equilibrium isotope fractionation occurred during the transformation of amorphous carbonate to nano-crystalline norsethite (i.e., fast dissolution-reprecipitation). By contrast, the subsequent ripening of the norsethite led to the evolution toward isotopic equilibrium of the system by slower exchange with a longer reaction time (i.e., slow dissolution-reprecipitation). Moreover, our first-principles calculation results indicate that the equilibrium isotope fractionation was approached, but not attained, even after 276 days of recrystallization at temperatures below 70 °C. In short, this study has identified two different types of dissolution-reprecipitation process during the carbonate mineral growth and highlights the importance of understanding formation mechanism and post-depositional history of carbonate in interpreting the isotopic data of carbonate minerals.

This study aimed to evaluate and compare the clinical features in various groups of CD patients stratified by age at diagnosis.Methods: A cross-sectional study of CD patients was conducted through a stratified sampling according to Montreal classification. Patients were divided into three groups by age at diagnosis: group A1 (< 17 years old), group A2 (17 to 40 years old), and group A3 (> 40 years old). The clinical characteristics, laboratory tests, radiographic, and endoscopic features were analyzed by statistics.Results: We enrolled 259 CD patients for the study. There was male predominance under 40 years old. Compared to group A1, more female patients were presented in group A3. There were more patients had perianal fistulas in group A1 compared to group A2 and group A3. Compared with group A1, patients in group A2 were associated with lower total protein (TP) levels. The mean TP and platelet count (PC) levels in group A3 were lower than group A1. Patients in group A1 had a lower rate of stricturing (B2) disease behavior than group A2 and group A3, and patients in group A3 who had a B2 disease behavior were higher than group A2. Those differences could guide early treatment or inventions for CD patients who might progress to a more complex disease behavior.Conclusion: CD patients stratified by age at diagnosis according to Montreal classification had different clinical symptoms, laboratory test results as well as disease locations and behaviors.Keywords: Crohn’s disease, age at diagnosis, Montreal classification, clinical characteristics

The proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) strategy results in the down-regulation of unwanted protein(s) for disease treatment. In the PROTAC process, a heterobifunctional degrader forms a ternary complex with a target protein of interest (POI) and an E3 ligase, which results in ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of the POI. While ternary complex formation is a key attribute of PROTAC degraders, modification of the PROTAC molecule to optimize ternary complex formation and protein degradation can be a labor-intensive and tedious process. In this study, we take advantage of DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology to efficiently synthesize a vast number of possible PROTAC molecules and describe a parallel screening approach that utilizes DNA barcodes as reporters of ternary complex formation and cooperative binding. We use a designed PROTAC DEL against BRD4 and CRBN to describe a dual protein affinity selection method and the direct discovery of novel, potent BRD4 PROTACs that importantly demonstrate clear SAR. Such an approach evaluates all the potential PROTACs simultaneously, avoids the interference of PROTAC solubility and permeability, and uses POI and E3 ligase proteins in an efficient manner.

Background: At present, all or the majority of published databases report metastasis genes based on the concept of using cancer types or hallmarks of cancer/metastasis. Since tumor metastasis is a dynamic process involving many cellular and molecular processes, those databases cannot provide information on the sequential relations and cellular and molecular mechanisms among different metastasis stages. Objective: We incorporate the concept of tumor metastasis mechanism to construct a tumor metastasis mechanism-associated gene (TMMG) database based on using the metastasis mechanism concept. Methods: We utilized the text mining tool, BioBERT to mine the titles and abstracts of the papers and identify TMMGs. Results: This tumor metastasis mechanism-associated gene database (TMMGdb) contains a wealth of annotations.To check the reliability of TMMGdb, we compared the proportions of housekeeping genes (HKGs) in TMMGdb, HCMDB, and CMgene, the results showed that around 20% of the TMMGs are HKGs, and the proportions are highly consistent among the three databases. Compared with the HCMDB and CMgene databases, TMMGdb is able to find a more recent (on or after 2017) collection of publications and TMMGs. We provided six case studies to illustrate the uniqueness of the TMMGdb database. Conclusion: TMMGdb is a comprehensive resource for the biomedical community to understand the dynamic process, molecular features, and cellular processes involved in tumor metastasis. TMMGdb provides four interfaces; ‘Browse’, ‘Search’, ‘DEG Search’ and ‘Download’, for users to investigate the causal effects among different metastasis stages; the database is freely accessible at http://hmg.asia.edu.tw/ TMMGdb.

Electrophysiology is a unique biomarker of the electrogenic cells that can perform a disease investigation or drug assessment. In the recent decade, vertical nanoelectrode arrays can successfully achieve a high-quality intracellular electrophysiological study in electrogenic cells and their networks. However, a high success rate and high-quality and long-term intracellular recording using low-cost nanostructures is still a considerable challenge. Herein, we develop a scalable and robust hollow nanopillar electrode to achieve enhanced intracellular recording of cardiomyocytes. The template-based synthesis of vertical hollow nanopillars is compatible with large-scale and efficient microfabrication processes and is convenient to regulate the geometry of hollow nanopillars. Compared with the conventional same-size planar electrode, the regulating height of a hollow nanopillar can achieve high-quality and prolonged intracellular recordings, which can improve the cell-electrode interface for tight coupling and effective electroporation. It is demonstrated that the geometry regulation of a nanostructure is a powerful strategy to enhance intracellular recording.

Measuring well production per well can not only simplify the process flow, improve economic efficiency, but also reduce the development cost of the oil field. In this paper, a single-well measurement of oil well production is carried out by establishing a capacity calculation model for fracturing straight wells in tight gas reservoirs by means of gas-water phase infiltration curve. According to different permeability and porosity, several representative relative permeability curves are selected for normalization treatment, and then the angle-preserving transformation principle is used, considering the formation stress sensitivity effect and gas slip effect, as well as the stress sensitivity effect in the fracture and the effect of high-speed non-Daxi effect on gas seepage, the quasi-pressure function is introduced, and the capacity calculation model of the fracturing straight well of the tight gas reservoir is established, so as to achieve the calculation of the yield.

Electrolyte-gated transistors can function as switching elements, artificial synapses and memristive systems, and could be used to create compact and powerful neuromorphic computing networks. However, insight into the underlying physics of such devices, including complex ion dynamics and the resulting capacitances, remains limited. Here we report a concise model for the transient ion-dynamic capacitance in electrolyte-gated transistors. The theory predicts that plasticity, high apparent mobility, sharp subthreshold swing and memristive conductance can be achieved—on demand—in a single transistor by appropriately programming the interfacial ion concentrations or matching the scan speed with ion motions. We then fabricate such multimode transistors using common solid-state electrolyte films and experimentally confirm the different capabilities. We also show in software that the multimode devices could be used to create neural networks that can be switched between conventional artificial neural networks, recurrent neural networks and spiking neural networks.

A self-administered questionnaire for screening cigarette dependence was developed based on a set of 6335 Chinese adult smokers (termed the China Cigarette Dependence Test, CCDT). Both a 20-item version (CCDT-20) and a 7-item of the questionnaire (CCDT-7) were developed following 2-round of tests on their construct validity, test-retest reliability and internal consistency, covering seven dimensions (cigarettes per day, tolerance, withdrawal symptoms, craving, loss of control, regularity, and stereotypy). The results showed that the CCDT-20 and CCDT-7 scores were higher in daily smokers than in occasional smokers, and both were associated with self-rated nicotine dependence, exhaled carbon monoxide (CO), saliva cotinine, and DSM-V. The CCDT-20 and CCDT-7 scales were found to be easier to use by smokers in China and provided a more reliable measure of their cigarette dependence.

Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in December 2019, numerous countries have experienced waves of outbreaks that have had severe social, economic, and political effects. Many medical and anthropological studies have suggested that tribes and elders in rural and indigenous villages became isolated from the outside world due to a lack of resources and because of cultural constraints. On January 22, 2020, the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Taiwan was discovered. As of October 23, 2022, 7,476,478 confirmed cases have been reported; of these, only 64,298 were in Taitung County, making it the region with the fewest cases in Taiwan. In this ethnographic study, I visited indigenous tribes in Taiwan that were less affected during the pandemic, conducted in-depth interviews with tribal-care providers, and collected secondary data from reports and social media regarding pandemic prevention on tribes in Taitung County. I also explored the difficulties created by the suspension of tribal-care services due to pandemic-related social distancing and isolation measures, and how care providers overcame these challenges. COVID-19 is not the first and nor will it be the last virus to threaten humans. Thus, it is important to gain insight into how care networks and connections were rebuilt through innovative measures that enabled tribal elders to receive culturally sensitive care and maintain their health during the pandemic.

Lymph node (LN) metastasis affects both the management and prognosis of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we explored the relationship between lymphatic metastasis and CEA family member 5 (CEACAM5), including its possible regulatory role in HNSCC. The levels of CEACAM5 in tissues from patients with HNSCC, with and without LN metastases, were assessed by transcriptome sequencing. The associations between CEACAM5 and the N stage of LN metastasis in HNSCC were predicted through The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases and a pan-cancer analysis of CEACAM5 expression in 33 common human tumors was conducted. CEACAM5 levels were analyzed in tumor and normal tissue specimens from HNSCC patients and the correlation between CEACAM5 levels and prognosis was evaluated. The influence of CEACAM5 on cell proliferation, invasion, migration, and apoptosis was investigated in HNSCC cell lines, as were the downstream regulatory mechanisms. A mouse model of LN metastasis was constructed. CEACAM5 levels were significantly higher in HNSCC tissue without LN metastasis than in that with LN metastasis. Similar findings were obtained for the clinical specimens. CEACAM5 levels were associated with better clinical prognosis. CEACAM5 was found to inhibit the proliferation and migration and promote the apoptosis of HNSCC cells. A mouse xenograft model showed that CEACAM5 inhibited LN metastasis. In conclusions, CEACAM5 inhibited epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) in HNSCC by reducing murine double minute 2 (MDM2) expression and thereby suppressing LN metastasis. CEACAM5 has potential as both a prognostic marker and a therapeutic target in HNSCC.

Summary A novel concept is described here that utilizes externally applied heat to a solid rod of reconstituted tobacco biomass to form a stream of aerosol under progressively oxygen-deficient atmosphere. The boundary of auto-ignition was determined at oxygen concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 21% and then the effects of these different atmospheres on various parameters were studied. Experimental results indicated that the ignition temperature decreased with the increase of oxygen concentration and a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) for atmosphere with oxygen was observed at before but close to ignition temperature. Significant differences in the yields of CO and CO2 between oxygen and oxygen-free atmosphere were observed. The mass of aerosol produced under an inert atmosphere and reduced-oxygen atmosphere were characterized with selected volatile and semi-volatile components, phenols, aldehydes, and other organic compounds of interests. In addition, higher oxygen concentration resulted in higher bulk and surface oxygen content of solid-phase residue, the reduction of carbon and hydrogen element content and related functional groups, and the content of inorganic compounds also exhibited an increase with oxygen concentration. By systematically changing oxygen concentrations of the biomass bed with increasing temperatures, an aerosol stream of controlled chemical composition and yields could be formed without leading to ignition. Key chemical markers of inhalation harm were measured and compared to each other under different degrees close to combustion. Studying reconstituted tobacco or other biomass materials in such a way could provide alternative and useful information in the design heated biomass aerosol generators.

Summary A lit cigarette forms a positive and negative pressure zone by a puff with respect to the position of its paper burn line. Smoke aerosols generated from the two zones are then pulled through the rod under the puff to form the mainstream smoke. This phenomenon is fundamental to the thermophysics and the resultant chemical composition of the mainstream smoke. In this study, we created two different airflow pathways inside a heated tobacco rod by a puff, and investigated the differences in aerosol formation and its chemical compositions. The two different pressure-induced conditions, one through an open-ended tobacco rod (marked as HNB, a label of a designed airflow pathway of commercial heated tobacco products called heat-not-burn prior), and the other through a closed-ended tobacco rod (marked as NSC, a label of a novel-designed airflow pathway of heated tobacco products), were compared for their aerosol collected mass (ACM), the contents of nicotine, water and added aerosol agents such as propylene glycol (PG) and glycerol (VG), as well as selected aldehydes and ketones in the mainstream aerosol. Aerosol particle distribution and the heated temperature along different rod locations were also compared during a puff. The results indicated marked differences in the aerosol formation processes between the two HNB and NSC systems. The transfer ratios of the main aerosol components were significantly higher for the NSC; the levels of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde were significantly lower under the NSC than the HNB condition. There were also significant differences for the aerosol particle number concentration (APNC) and count median diameter (CMD) for the two systems. The lack of convective heat transfer in the aerosol formation under the NSC condition resulted in a relatively stable thermal aerosol generation zone, reflected by the temperature difference between the two systems in the selected locations. The NSC mode of tobacco heating thus offers a novel and enhanced aerosol generation for heat tobacco product designs.

In this paper, we study non-wandering homeomorphisms of the two-dimen-sional torus homotopic to the identity, whose rotation sets are non-trivial segments from (0, 0) to some totally irrational point (α, β). We show that for any r ⩾ 1, this rotation set only appears for C r diffeomorphisms satisfying some degenerate conditions. And when such a rotation set does appear, assuming several natural conditions that are generically satisfied in the area-preserving world, we give a clearer description of its rotational behaviour. More precisely, the dynamics admits bounded deviation along the direction −(α, β) in the lift, and the rotation set is locked inside an arbitrarily small cone with respect to small C 0-perturbations of the dynamics. On the other hand, for any non-wandering homeomorphism f with this kind of rotation set, we also present a perturbation scheme in order for the rotation set to be eaten by the rotation set of some nearby dynamics, in the sense that the later set has non-empty interior and contains the former one. These two flavours interplay and share the common goal of understanding the stability/instability properties of this kind of rotation set.

Lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) represents a minor proportion of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring a poor prognosis. Herein, retrospective medical record research was performed to investigate real-world treatment patterns and identify the prognostic factors among LUSC patients. A total of 173 patients with a median age of 68 years were enrolled for analysis. Males were predominant (n = 143, 83%) and current or ex-smokers contributed to 78% of the entire cohort. Pleura and lung were the most common metastatic sites, whereas brain metastasis was only 7%. After diagnosis, however, only 107 patients (62%) had received first-line chemotherapy. In the chemotherapy cohort, median progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were 3.9 and 11.1 months, respectively. After multivariable analysis, bone metastasis and the use of first-line single-agent chemotherapy independently predicted shorter PFS. For baseline characteristics, male sex, metastasis to lung, pleura, liver, and bone independently predicted worse OS. Regarding the treatment pattern, patients who had undergone standard first-line doublet therapy and employed targeted therapies after disease progression linked to longer OS. In the real world, even those who underwent chemotherapy still had poor outcome. The findings may help clinicians to orchestrate the treatment strategies for LUSC patients and provide further direction of large-scale studies.

The preclinical assessment of efficacy and safety is essential for cardiovascular drug development in order to guarantee effective prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease and avoid human health endangerment and a huge waste of resources. Rhythmic mechanical beating as one of the crucial cardiomyocyte properties has been exploited to establish a drug assessment biosensing platform. However, the conventional label-free biosensing platforms are difficult to perform high-throughput and high-resolution mechanical beating detection for a single cardiomyocyte, while label-based strategies are limited by pharmacologically adverse effects and phototoxicity. Herein, we propose a biosensing platform involving the multichannel electrode array device and the universal mechanical beating detection system. The platform can determine the optimal characteristic working frequency of different devices and dynamically interrogate the viability of multisite single cardiomyocytes to establish the optimized cell-based model for sensitive drug assessment. The subtle changes of mechanical beating signals induced by cardiovascular drugs can be detected by the platform, thereby demonstrating its high performance in pharmacological assessment. The universal and sensitive drug assessment biosensing platform is believed to be widely applied in cardiology investigating and preclinical drug screening.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI)-induced neuroinflammation is closely associated with poor outcomes and high mortality in affected patients, with unmet needs for effective clinical interventions. A series of causal and disseminating factors have been identified to cause TBI-induced neuroinflammation. Among these are cellular microvesicles released from injured cerebral cells, endothelial cells, and platelets. In previous studies, we have put forward that cellular microvesicles can be released from injured brains that induce consumptive coagulopathy. Extracellular mitochondria accounted for 55.2% of these microvesicles and induced a redox-dependent platelet procoagulant activity that contributes to traumatic brain injury-induced coagulopathy and inflammation. These lead to the hypothesis that metabolically active extracellular mitochondria contribute to the neuroinflammation in traumatic brain injury, independent of their procoagulant activity. Here, we found that these extracellular mitochondria induced polarization of microglial M1-type pro-inflammatory phenotype, aggravating neuroinflammation, and mediated cerebral edema in a ROS-dependent manner. In addition, the effect of ROS can be alleviated by ROS inhibitor N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) in vitro experiments. These results revealed a novel pro-inflammatory activity of extracellular mitochondria that may contribute to traumatic brain injury-associated neuroinflammation.

The virtual power plant is one of the key technologies for the integration of various distributed energy resources into the power grid. To enable its smooth and reliable operation, the network infrastructure that connects the components for critical communications becomes a research challenge. Current communication networks based on the traditional Ethernet and long-term evolution cannot provide the required deterministic low latency or reliable communication services. This paper presents a three-layer virtual power plant communication architecture with 5G and time-sensitive networking integrated networks for both determinism and mobility. The service types and traffic requirements of the virtual power plant are analyzed and mapped between 5G and time-sensitive networking to guarantee their quality of service. This paper proposes a semi-persistent scheduling with reserved bandwidth sharing and a pre-emption mechanism for time-critical traffic to guarantee its bounded latency and reliability while improving the bandwidth utilization. The performance evaluation results show that the proposed mechanism effectively reduces the end-to-end delay for both time-triggered traffic and event-triggered traffic compared with the dynamic scheduling method. For event-triggered traffic, the proposed mechanism has comparable end-to-end delay performance to the static scheduling method. It largely improves the resource utilization compared to the static scheduling method when the network load becomes heavy. It achieves an optimum performance tradeoff between delay and resource utilization when the percentage of the reserved resource blocks is 30% in the simulation.

The elderly population in developed countries has increased rapidly in recent years; the elderly may be at greater risk of protein deficiency due to dietary, socio-economic, dental, and physical restrictions. Therefore, to address the issue of protein deficiency in elderly people, the present study aimed to enhance the protein content of high-gluten flour noodles, an Asian staple food, by supplementing them with soybean protein isolate (SPI) powder. The effect of SPI addition (5–20%, w/w) on composition, quality, texture, physical and sensory properties, and glycemic index (GI) of high-gluten flour noodles was investigated. The noodles made only from high-gluten flour served as control. In comparison to control noodles, 20% SPI noodles showed a rise in protein and moisture content from 16.17% to 30.64% and 36.06 to 44.84%, respectively. The cooking yield and cooking loss increased with an increase in SPI concentration compared to control noodles. Color characteristics analysis revealed the decreasing trend in brightness and yellowness of SPI noodles with minimal L* and b* values at a 20% SPI concentration. The addition of SPI also resulted in a decrease in the hardness and tensile strength of the noodles. The sensory analysis showed that 5% SPI noodles were more similar to control noodles in terms of flavor, taste, and overall acceptability. Moreover, the addition of SPI to the noodles significantly decreased the GI of the noodles reaching the standard of low-GI food. The findings of the current study indicate that soy protein noodles, besides supplementing the desired nutrients, may also prevent the risk of diabetes in elderly people.

Background: Dietary fiber is a functional substance with strong antioxidant activity that plays an important role in human health. Dietary fiber has been shown to reduce the risks of many types of cancers, but whether it can reduce the risk of death in cancer survivors remains undetermined. Methods: This study included the dietary data of cancer survivors who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys from 2001 to 2018. Firstly, the relationship between fiber intake and composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) was explored by weighted multiple regression and smooth curve. Subsequently, multivariable Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to explore the effects of dietary fiber intake and CDAI level on the risks of all-cause, tumor, and cardiovascular death among cancer survivors. Results: A total of 2077 participants were included in the study, representing approximately 11,854,509 cancer survivors in the United States. The dietary fiber intake of tumor survivors had a nonlinear positive relationship with CDAI levels (β = 0.24, 95% CI: 0.08–0.40, p = 0.004). Multivariable Cox proportional hazards regression models showed that high dietary fiber intake and CDAI levels were associated with reduced risks of all-cause and tumor death in tumor survivors, but were not associated with the risk of cardiovascular death. Conclusion: An increased dietary fiber intake can enhance the body’s antioxidant capacity. A higher dietary fiber intake and CDAI level may reduce the risk of all-cause and tumor death in tumor survivors.

Continuous imaging of internal organs over days could provide crucial information about health and diseases and enable insights into developmental biology. We report a bioadhesive ultrasound (BAUS) device that consists of a thin and rigid ultrasound probe robustly adhered to the skin via a couplant made of a soft, tough, antidehydrating, and bioadhesive hydrogel-elastomer hybrid. The BAUS device provides 48 hours of continuous imaging of diverse internal organs, including blood vessels, muscle, heart, gastrointestinal tract, diaphragm, and lung. The BAUS device could enable diagnostic and monitoring tools for various diseases.

Using the qualitative analysis software NVivo to code and analyze 16 authoritative and representative documents related to the construction standards of first-class undergraduate majors, and drawing lessons from the CIPP evaluation model, this paper constructs four dimensions, including professional background, professional investment, professional construction process and professional construction effect, covering the source of students The theoretical framework of the first-class undergraduate specialty construction index system with 8 first-class indicators such as specialty positioning and 17 second-class indicators and 55 third-class indicators. Based on this evaluation framework, the questionnaire on student satisfaction with first-class undergraduate specialty construction is compiled. The multivariate linear analysis model shows that the overall interpretability of the main factors affecting student satisfaction reaches 99.9%. The research shows that students are generally satisfied with the construction of first-class undergraduate majors in a Local Application-oriented University in China, have the highest satisfaction with the teaching staff and professional quality assurance, and have the lowest satisfaction with the professional school running conditions. There is a long way to go to improve students' satisfaction and promote the construction of first-class undergraduate majors in China's Local Application-oriented Universities. We should build a new three-dimensional development pattern of “one body, two wings and three integration” of discipline, curriculum, specialty and education; Build a new model of characteristic development in the “12345” period; Build a new first-class talent training system guided by “quality improvement''.
