This article seeks the origin of the red sun (hong taiyang in Chinese), a motif that Chinese painter Fu Baoshi used in his works during the 1950s and 1960s. A similar motif can be found in some works made by Japanese painters during the 1920s and 1930s, though there is no definitive evidence that Fu learned directly from them. Rather, I argue that Fu and his Japanese counterparts drew from an East Asian tradition for depicting national idols that was exemplified in Tianbao jiuru, a theme which had been shared between China and Japan for a long time.

OBJECTIVE: : To observe the clinical characteristics of mild and common COVID-19 patients infected with the Omicron variant, and to analyze related factors affecting the time to negative conversion of viral nucleic acid detection. METHODS: : Clinical data of 1781 patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) admitted to a cabin hospital in Shanghai from April 12 to May 26, 2022, were retrospectively analyzed, including age, gender, height, weight, clinical symptoms, comorbid diseases, COVID-19 vaccination, treatment, and nucleic acid negative conversion time. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the influencing factors of nucleic acid negative conversion time. RESULTS: : Among the 1781 patients, 995 were male and 786 were female, with a median age of 39 (30, 52) years. There were 727 patients (40.8%) with overweight and obesity [body mass index (BMI) > 24 kg/cm (2)) and 413 patients (23.2%) had comorbid diseases. 205 cases (11.5%) were not vaccinated while 1576 cases were vaccinated. There were 1233 cases (69.2%) with one or more symptoms. The main clinical symptoms were cough (60.3%), expectoration (50.4%) and fever (36.9%). 1444 cases (81.0%) were treated with Chinese medicine, 78 cases (4.4%) were treated with western medicine, 14 cases (0.8%) were treated with integrated Chinese and western medicine, and 245 cases (13.8%) did not receive any medical treatment. All patients improved and were discharged. The median nucleic acid negative conversion time was 10.3 (7.4, 12.4) d. Univariate and multivariate analysis showed that, age ≥ 60 years ( OR＝1.537, 95% CI: 1.116 - 2.115, P 24 kg/cm (2) ( OR＝1.344, 95% CI: 1.106 - 1.634, P 24 kg/cm (2) are independent influencing factors for prolonged nucleic acid negative conversion.

In contrast to the generic object, aerial targets are often non-axis aligned with arbitrary orientations having the cluttered surroundings. Unlike the mainstreamed approaches regressing the bounding box orientations, this paper proposes an effective adaptive points learning approach to aerial object detection by taking advantage of the adaptive points representation, which is able to capture the geometric information of the arbitrary-oriented instances. To this end, three oriented conversion functions are presented to facilitate the classification and localization with accurate orientation. Moreover, we propose an effective quality assessment and sample assignment scheme for adaptive points learning toward choosing the representative oriented reppoints samples during training, which is able to capture the non-axis aligned features from adjacent objects or background noises. A spatial constraint is introduced to penalize the outlier points for roust adaptive learning. Experimental results on four challenging aerial datasets including DOTA, HRSC2016, UCAS-AOD and DIOR-R, demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed approach. During the COVID-19 epidemic in China, millions of workers in tech companies had to start working from home (WFH). The change was sudden, unexpected and companies were not ready for it. Additionally, it was also the first time that WFH was experienced on such a large scale. We used the opportunity to describe the effect of WFH at scale for a sustained period of time. As the lockdown was easing, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 participants from China working in tech companies. While at first, WFH was reported as a pleasant experience with advantages, e.g. flexible schedule, more time with family, over time, this evolved into a rather negative experience where workers start working all day, every day and feel a higher workload despite the actual workload being reduced. We discuss these results and how they could apply for other extreme circumstances and to help improve WFH in general.

Box-supervised instance segmentation has recently attracted lots of research efforts while little attention is received in aerial image domain. In contrast to the general object collections, aerial objects have large intra-class variances and inter-class similarity with complex background. Moreover, there are many tiny objects in the high-resolution satellite images. This makes the recent pairwise affinity modeling method inevitably to involve the noisy supervision with the inferior results. To tackle these problems, we propose a novel aerial instance segmentation approach, which drives the network to learn a series of level set functions for the aerial objects with only box annotations in an end-to-end fashion. Instead of learning the pairwise affinity, the level set method with the carefully designed energy functions treats the object segmentation as curve evolution, which is able to accurately recover the object's boundaries and prevent the interference from the indistinguishable background and similar objects. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms the state-of-the-art box-supervised instance segmentation methods. The damping valve structure of shock absorber usually takes throttle slice as the main part, when the pressure difference at both ends of the valve and the pretightening force of the valve slice can be overcome, annular gap will be formed between the valve body and slice to form throttle channel, so as to achieve the purpose of attenuating external vibration. In this case, the valve slice mechanical model is established, and the deflection formula under the nonuniform load is deduced, which can calculated the deformation of valve slice at any position, and the analysis of the influence factors is carried out, which lays a foundation for study the performance characteristics of the damping device.

This study aimed to investigate the correlation between homocysteine (HCY), C-reactive protein (CRP), lipid levels, and sleep quality in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. Herein, the purpose of this study is to develop a new and fast co-delivery system of siRNA and doxorubicin for potentially synergistic cancer treatment.Methods: The co-delivery system is constructed conveniently by a stable complex consisting of doxorubicin bound to siRNA via intercalation firstly, followed by interacting with (3-Aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES) electrostatically and Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) co-condensed, and the characterizations of the resultant nanocarrier are also investigated. Furthermore, this study evaluates the synergistic anti-cancer efficacy in MCF-7/MDR cells after treatment of siRNA and doxorubicin ‘two in one’ nanocarriers.Results: We establish a new and fast method to craft a co-delivery system of siRNA and doxorubicin with controllable and nearly uniform size, and the entire fabrication process only costs in about 10 minutes. The resultant co-delivery system presents high loading capacities of siRNA and doxorubicin, and the encapsulated doxorubicin plays a pH-responsive control release. Further, biological functionality tests of the synthesized co-delivery nanocarriers show high inhibition of P-gp protein encoded by MDR-1 gene in MCF-7/MDR cells (a variant of human breast cancer cell line with drug resistance) after transfection of these nanocarriers carrying MDR-1 siRNA and doxorubicin simultaneously, which sensitize the MCF-7/MDR cells to doxorubicin, overall leading to improved cell suppression.Conclusion: Collectively, this co-delivery system not only serves as potent therapeutics for synergistic cancer therapy, it also may facilitate the bench-to-bedside translation of combinatorial delivery system as a robust drug nanocarrier by allowing for fabricating a simply and fast nanocarrier for co-delivery of siRNA and doxorubicin with predictable high production rate.Keywords: siRNA, doxorubicin, codelivery system, multidrug resistance, cancer therapy

Patients and methods: A retrospective secondary analysis of a multicenter trial of CEUS for breast cancer diagnosis (from August 2015 to April 2017) was undertaken. Patients (n=1,023) with Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System 4–5 lesions on B-mode ultrasound underwent CEUS. Pathological diagnoses were available from surgical or biopsy specimens for correlation. Lesion maximum diameter (LMD), distance to the papilla (DtP), distance from the superficial edge of the lesion to the skin (DtS), distance from the deep edge of the lesion to the pectoralis muscle (DtPM), and body mass index (BMI) were evaluated. Results: Median age and BMI were 48.0 and 41.2 years and 23.2 and 22.4 kg/m2 for patients with malignant and benign lesions, respectively. Overall sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CEUS for malignancy were 89.4%, 65.3%, and 75.8%, respectively. The patients with true-positive and false-negative diagnosis (ie, with malignant lesion) were older than those with false-positive and true-negative diagnosis (ie, with benign lesion). Patients with true-positive and false-positive diagnoses had higher BMI than patients with true-negative and false-negative diagnoses (P=0.004). Patients with true-positive and false-negative diagnoses had larger LMD and DtP, as well as smaller DtS and DtPM. Conclusion: Older age, higher BMI, larger LMD and DtP, and smaller DtS and DtPM were associated with malignant lesions on CEUS. Patients with these characteristics should undergo further imaging. A method for studying the flexural deformation of the damping valve when subjected to a local uniform load was proposed, according to the physical model of valve platevalve platevalve platevalve platevalve platevalve platevalve plate and the related theory of thin plate mechanics, the differential equation of the deformation potential energy of the valve plate was solved, and the analytical formula of the flexural deformation under the local uniform load was derived. Further, combining the analytic formula of flexural deformation of the valve plate, the analytic formula of the annular gap throttling and the actual gas state equation, the mathematical model of the indicator characteristic of the hydro-pneumatic spring was derived. Through programming simulation, the relationship between the elastic force of the system and the total output force with displacement were analysed, compared with the test data, the correctness of the mathematical model of the hydro-pneumatic spring was verified, and the theoretical basis was provided by analytical formula of valve plate deformation.

In view of the requirements of military vehicles for high-mobility off-road performance, the dynamic modeling of 4X4 wheeled armored vehicles was carried out. The dynamic model expression expressed in matrix form was derived, and the decoupling calculation was performed by Fourier transform. After that, the power spectral density function was used to characterize the random road input of the vehicle, and the coherence of each wheel excitation in the four-wheeled vehicle was analyzed to derive the coherence coefficient. Finally, the calculation method of vibration response of vehicles under typical roads was formed by programming analysis and reasonable algorithm, and it provided theoretical support for suspension vibration isolation performance design.

HMGB1 (High mobility group box 1) expressions in adenocarcinoma (AC) and squamous cell/adenosquamous (SC/ASC) carcinoma of gallbladder, as well as its prognostic significance, have not yet been evaluated. We investigated HMGB1 expression in 80 cases of AC gallbladder cancer and 52 cases of SC/ASC gallbladder cancer. Survival information was concomitantly collected. The association of HMGB1 expression with clinicopathological characteristics and the possible prognostic role of HMGB1 for two aforementioned subtypes of gallbladder cancers were also analyzed. siRNA technique was utilized to explore the role of HMGB1 in proliferation and invasion of gallbladder cancer cells in vitro. HMGB1 overexpression is present in AC and SC/ASC gallbladder cancers. HMGB1 expression significantly associates with growth and metastasis of AC and SC/ASC gallbladder cancers. In vitro cell experiments based on siRNA demonstrated that HMGB1 downregulation inhibits proliferation and invasion of gallbladder cancer cells. Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed that HMGB1 expression is negatively associated with overall survival time of patients with AC or SC/ASC gallbladder cancer. Cox multivariate analysis confirmed that HMGB1 is an independent risk factor for survival of patients with AC or SC/ASC gallbladder cancer. HMGB1 overexpression closely correlates with progression and poor prognosis of AC and SC/ASC gallbladder cancers.

BACKGROUND: Transforming growth factor (TGF)-β is involved in many physiologic processes, it often promotes metastasis, and its high expression is correlated with poor prognosis. In the present study, we analyzed the correlation between transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) expression and prognosis in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma RESULTS: We examined the expression of TGF-β 1 in 78 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas by immunohistochemistry and correlated the expression with clinicopathological parameters. TGF-β1 was expressed in 37 of 78 (47.4 %) intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas. The expression of TGF-β 1 was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, and tumour recurrence. Patients with TGFβ1-positive tumours had significantly shorter survival time. In a multivariant analysis, the expression of TGF-β1 and the tumour stage were independent prognostic factors CONCLUSIONS: Our data suggest that expression of TGF-β1 is a novel prognostic marker for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

Bi2WO6 photocatalyst was first utilized to degrade malachite green. The effects of the concentration of malachite green, the pH value, and the concentration of Bi2WO6 on the photocatalytic efficiency were investigated. This study presents a strategy to eliminate highly toxic and persistent dyes such as malachite green.

According to phenomenon of suspension temperature rising lead to vehicle state change,a research method of gas chamber length of hydro-pneumatic spring is presented. The diagram of single barrel hydro-pneumatic spring is given. With regard to the structural feature of single barrel hydro-pneumatic spring, the system elastic force is deduce respectively according to two situations that known and unknown initial height of air chamber occurred possibly in design by using the equation of state of real gas. Meanwhile, the equation that calculates air quality in airtight container is built. The elastic characteristic of sample is tested and is compared with the analytic solution of the equation so as to validate the correctness of this research method. At the same time, the research on the influence rule relevant parameter on elastic force of hydro-pneumatic spring is developed, and the conclusion offers reference to the design of air spring.
