Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is widely used for the treatment of hypertrophic scars in clinical practice. However, the low transdermal delivery of photosensitizers in scar tissue and protective autophagy induced by Photodynamic therapy greatly reduces the therapeutic efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with these difficulties for overcoming obstacles in Photodynamic therapy treatment. In this study, a photosensitizer with photocatalytic performance was designed and synthesized using innovative MOFs (metal-organic frameworks). Additionally, the MOFs, together with an autophagy inhibitor chloroquine (CQ), was loaded in a high mechanical strength microneedle patch (MNP) for transdermal delivery. With these functionalized MNP, photosensitizers and chloroquine were delivered deep inside hypertrophic scars. Inhibition of autophagy increases the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under high-intensity visible-light irradiation. Multiprong approaches have been used to remove obstacles in Photodynamic therapy and successfully enhance its anti-scarring effect. In vitro experiments indicated that the combined treatment increased the toxicity of hypertrophic scar fibroblasts (HSFs), downregulated the level of collagen type I expression as well as transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)expression, decreased the autophagy marker protein LC3II/I ratio, increased the expression of P62. In vivo experiments showed that the MNP had good puncture performance, and significant therapeutic effects were observed in the rabbit ear scar model. These results indicate that functionalized MNP has high potential clinical value.

This study examines the relationship between the visual design of characters in thevideo game Genshin Impact and their character background. The study uses formal analysisand data collected on selected characters’ color choices, shapes, movements, facialexpressions, and backstories to analyze if the characters’ visual designs align with theirnarratives. This research is relevant to game designers, players, and game research scholars.Game designers can use the insights gained from this study to create more immersivecharacters that organically convey their backstories. The findings suggest that visual designplays a critical role in conveying character context and personality in the game. Thecharacters of the sample showed a strong visual appearance, effectively conveying theirbackground story and personality characteristics. The findings of this study confirm that thecharacter design in Genshin Impact effectively conveys the character’s background. Theanalysis revealed notable strengths in employing a skillful combination of color, shapes,movements, and facial expressions to evoke specific emotions, accentuate character traits, andenhance the storytelling experience. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of carefullyconsidering and refining visual design choices to align with the intended narrative and engageplayers effectively. Future research could explore other aspects of visual design and its impacton video game character development.

Significant advances in face recognition tasks have been made with the development of convolutional neural networks. With large scale convolutional neural networks we are now able to achieve 99% accuracy on many public face test sets. However, the face recognition networks commonly used for mobile are limited by their narrow network width which makes it difficult to learn better distributed features in face recognition feature embedding learning. In this work, based on MobileFaceNets we propose an attention-guided hierarchical feature fusion model. Compared with the traditional cascading convolutional neural network classification model, our approach can explicitly consider both global and local features. And our approach requires only a small increase in computation to obtain better results than directly increasing the feature dimension.

This paper studies the cooperative absorption mechanism of wind-photovoltaic power generation and electric vehicle interconnection. Markov decision process is used to model the two random events of wind-photovoltaic generation and electric vehicle charging and discharging. Based on this, a multi-objective bilevel optimal charging and discharging scheduling model is proposed for the interconnection of wind-photovoltaic generation and electric vehicle based on cluster. The upper dispatching agency considers the consumption of wind-photovoltaic power generation and the economy of grid side operation, and EV group institution takes charge-discharge fees with battery internal losses into account. When solving the problem, making full use of the correlation between the structural features and variables between the upper and lower layers, the basic strategy of information exchange between the upper and lower layers is constructed, and based on the hierarchical features and future situation simulation, the double-layer optimal scheduling strategy is obtained. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed optimization strategy is simulated and analyzed in IEEE 30 nodes system.

The phase behavior of linear dendritic triblock copolymer melts(AB2C4) is studied by self-consistent-field theory (SCFT) in order to find the effects of branching on the phase behavior of ABC linear triblock copolymer melts. We focus on a nonfrustrated parameters that \c{hi}NAB=\c{hi}NBC=\c{hi}NAC=40 where A/C interface will not form. Frank-Kasper phases, asymmetric alternative sphere as well as traditional phases observed in diblock copolymer melts are found to be stable in the calculation.

The optimal charge and discharge schedule of EVs is studied under distribution network considerring wind power. Markov decision process is adopted to model the randomness of supply and demand. Two-level scheduling model of electric vehicles with electric vehicle agents are adopted. The electric vehicle agents are responsible for collecting the real-time charging-discharging demand of electric vehicles in the region and reported to the upper dispatching center. The goal of the upper dispatching center considers the power losses in the distribution network, load variance and the matching degree between EV charging-discharging and wind energy. The goal of the lower agent considers the EV charging-discharging fees and EV charging battery losss costs. When deciding the optimal charging strategy, two-level Rollout methodis adopted considering the the effects on future decisions by the current decisions. Finally, the optimal results under four different strategies are simulated on the IEEE 30 nodes distribution network system.

The significance of prognosis of follicular thyroid cancer (FTC) compared to other subtypes of thyroid cancer, based on large cohort data has only been addressed in a few studies, and the results remain controversial. In this study, we investigated the prognosis of FTC compared to papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and follicular variant PTC (FVPTC) based on Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database (SEER) Program data using propensity score matching. We evaluated data from 128,703 patients with thyroid cancer who were included in the SEER database between 2004 and 2013. Patient mortality was evaluated using Cox proportional hazards regression analyses and Kaplan-Meier analyses with log-rank tests. The average prognosis of FTC was poorer than both PTC and FVPTC. The multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that the cancer-specific survival rate for FTC was lower than that for PTC and FVPTC without adjusting for risk factors. Furthermore, after propensity score matching analysis for relevant factors, the cancer-specific mortality rate for FTC was higher than that for PTC and FVPTC. These results based on a large population cohort database provide a benefit reference for individual and precise treatment and management of patients with FTC.

The start point of this project is the research of single person household. According to a presentation from the Swedish government, in Sweden, the family structure is changing as time goes by. After 40 years, there will be more than 40% of household are single person households. In addition, The project aims to create a sharing furniture, which used in living room, for young single person households. By using this furniture, they can enjoy the time being alone at home and also enjoy the leisure time with others, for example, through the Swedish social phenomena - fika. The delineation of study and research of my project is furniture design towards single person households and fika. The theories I applied include sustainability, life cycle, human needs, and design methodologies. Sustainable design put sustainable development theory into the design process, let the ecological environment and economic development connected as an the reciprocal causation. It lead to the use of energy resources effectively, and reduce the environmental pollution to the lower degree. To achieve sustainable design theory, each steps within product life cycle need to be considered in a sustainable development way. Sustainable design principles not only refer to the design process, also stressed in engineering process, the production process, the sales process, the use process, the storage process, the maintenance/repair process and retirement process, to reduce resource consumption, to build a new production and consumption oriented concepts to achieve sustainable design. The main practical methodology within the entire project and process is participatory design. Participatory design encourages all the users to directly design by using the simple tools, then do creative jobs by themselves and make own improvements during the process of practice. Furthermore, the participatory design can promote the users to realize the true value of designers, and finally they can also enjoy the conveniences which are brought by these designs.
