Abstract

Amblyopia is highly prevalent in 3-17 years children, and it is the leading cause of preventable childhood blindness. Previous findings on the visual acuity improvement difference of binocular treatments and patching were inconclusive. Factors that influence vision improvement remained unknown. We aimed to synthesize current evidence on binocular treatment to amblyopia in children to inform clinical practice by a meta-analysis study.
