Knowing how, when, and what types of antibiotics should be used before and after an appendectomy is a very important subject for this very common intra-abdominal procedure that is performed in an emergency setting. This subject reflects the positive results of the procedure on the reduction of infectious complications, such as surgical site infection or intra-abdominal abcess. Post-operatively, we divided patients who had a non-perforated appendix into two groups: group A received pre-operative antibiotics half an hour before surgery with a single dose of 3rd generation cephalosporin (ceftriaxone)1g and metronidazole 500mg, and group B received antibiotics half an hour pre-operatively and continued antibiotics post-operatively within 24 hours. Both groups received antibiotics post-operatively. 240 patients were randomly selected and separated into two groups with an identical number in each. Of the 120 patients in group A, eight of them developed a wound infection (6.67%), and the same number of patients in group B also became infected. The 30-day follow-up period came and went without anyone developing an intra-abdominal infection. The use of a single dosage of antibiotic will be sufficient to prevent infection at the surgical site, and the advantage of post-operative antibiotic treatment in non-perforated appendix will be imperceptible.

The benefits of using mathematical modeling of the flow are obvious, the final objective being the elimination of as many inclusions as possible during the flow of steel through the tundish, and thus, obtaining steel with superior quality.In this work, a simulation of the movement of the liquid alloy in the tundish was carried out, in order to highlight the erosion of its refractory lining. For this, we used SolidWorks, RealFlow, and ABAQUS programs.Using these simulation programs, the filling method of the tundish, the contact area of the alloy jet with the tundish wall, and the "dead" areas are highlighted, as well as the turbulences that can appear during the flow, which have a negative impact on the quality of the steel.

In this study, both polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) were dissolved in dimethyl formaldehyde (DMF) with 8 wt. % concentrations at 25 : 75, 50 : 50, and 75 : 25 of PVC: PAN blending. For the investigation of the homogeneity and compatibility of mixture polymer solutions, it is examined by rheological properties such as viscosity, shear stress, shear rate, and calculation of the flow behavior index, while the investigation of the stability and high density of nanofibers without beads used field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Fourier transform near-infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry-thermogravimetric analysis (DSC-TGA). The results show that blending of PAN with PVC leads to improving of the electro spun ability of PVC with more stability, and the mean nanofiber diameter was 90.873 ± 40.82 nm at 25 : 75 PVC: PAN. Moreover, mechanical properties are ultimate tensile strength and modulus of elasticity decreasing with decreasing the blending ration from pure PVC to 75 : 25 PVC: PAN nanofibers by 71% and 83%, respectively, while the elongation at break increases by 79%, and decomposition temperatures decreased from 451.96 to 345.38°C when changing the PVC content from pure PVC to 25 : 75 PVC: PAN. On the other hand, changing of the nanofiber behavior from hydrophobicity to hydrophilic increased the PAN content in PVC: PAN blends. Furthermore, the low interaction between the chains of polymers and the crystallinity (%) and crystalline size (nm) of blend nanofibers slightly decreased compared to the pure polymers. According to all tests, the 25: 75 PVC: PAN was the best blending ratio, which gave a more stable nanofiber produced at low concentrations and more compatible between the PVC and PAN.

Abstract In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in developing new polymeric materials with high performance and low cost. With increased environmental awareness, research has focused on eco-friendly materials, with terms like “renewable,” “recyclable,” “sustainable,” and “biodegradable” becoming important features of the materials, Polymer blends can provide products with a wider range of useful qualities than single polymer equivalents. In this study, Polymer blend films were prepared using dextrin at different compositions of (PVA- PMMA-PAAm) by solvent casting method. The prepared blend films were flexible and transparent and characterized using was examined by scanning electron microscopy to examine the surface morphology of the samples that show the good distribution of starch in the blend, while FT-IR was used to identify the active groups, which refer to the interaction among the materials. Also, we have studied the optical properties and recording the absorption spectrum with a visible ultraviolet spectrophotometer. Absorption spectra were recorded in the wavelength range of 200–1100 nm. The absorbance and optical conductivity were increased by dextrin additive, while the transmittance and energy gap decreased. Based on the overall results, the prepared films can be used in drug delivery and optical devices.

Background: One of the most unpleasant and painful NCPAP related complication is the risk of nasal skin breakdown. It commonly occurs on areas under high pressure of nasal interface, mostly on the nasal bridge but can take place at any area under pressure of mask or prong which are used to connect the ventilation system to the patient’s nose. Objective: Evaluation of nurses' knowledge about Neonatal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Nasal Injuries at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: A Descriptive cross-sectional study, quantitative research has been carried throughout the present study to evaluate their management about nasal injury related to CPAP at neonates’ intensive care units in hospitals of Medical City director in Baghdad and it examined the type of relationship between variables. During the period from 3rd October 2021 to 15th May 2022. Results of the study: Results that observed responses of high evaluated generally assigned, and they are accounted 27(81.82%) items, while leftover items were a assigned moderate evaluation 5(15.15%), and low evaluation 1(3.03%). Conclusion: In concerning nursing management about neonatal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) nasal injuries at neonatal intensive care unit are assigned at the established level in which that achieving goal of this study. Recommendations: Training courses to increase nurses' knowledge and practices about working on the continuous positive air pressure device. Porcine embryos are used for a variety of applications. However, the maturation rate in vitro remains low, and novel in vitro maturation (IVM) techniques that facilitate the collection of mature oocytes are necessary. C-C motif chemokine ligand 2 (CCL2) is a key periovulatory chemokine present in cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs). We aimed to examine the effects of CCL2 supplementation during IVM on oocyte maturation and embryonic development. The CCL2 concentration was significantly higher in porcine follicular fluid (pFF) derived from follicles >8 mm in size than in pFF derived from smaller follicles. There was a significant increase in CCL2 mRNA levels in all follicular cells after IVM compared with that before IVM. We analyzed the localization of CCL2 and its receptor, the CCL2 receptor, in follicular cells. During IVM, different concentrations of CCL2 were added to COCs cultured in a maturation medium. After IVM, the group treated with 100 ng/mL CCL2 showed significantly higher metaphase II rates than the control group. All CCL2-treatment groups showed a significant increase in intracellular glutathione levels and a significant decrease in reactive oxygen species levels, compared to the control. In CCs treated with 100 ng/mL CCL2, the mRNA levels of BAX, CASP3, and NPR2 were significantly decreased. Furthermore, the mRNA levels of SOD1, SOD2, and CD44 were significantly increased. In oocytes treated with 10 ng/mL CCL2, mRNA levels of BAX and CASP3 were significantly decreased, whereas, NRF2 and NPM2 were significantly increased. ERK1 exhibited significantly increased mRNA expression in both CCs and oocytes treated with 10 ng/mL CCL2. The protein expression ratio of phosphorylated ERK1/2 to total ERK1/2 was significantly increased in CCs treated with 10 ng/mL CCL2. After parthenogenetic activation, cleavage rates were significantly improved in the 100 ng/mL CCL2 treatment group, and blastocyst formation rates were significantly enhanced in the 10 ng/mL CCL2 treatment group. Overall, our results suggest that IVM medium along with CCL2 improves porcine oocyte maturation and the development of parthenogenetically-activated embryos.

A variety of small devices have been used that detect the object to be sensed and then tell the person monitoring the patient's condition, for example, body and room temperature, oxygen percentage, heart rate). This data is sent to the server via the Internet. To store details and monitor the patient through it. In the event that any error occurs in any of this data, such as a decrease or increase in the normal value, a signal will be sent via Telegram to the phone of the individual monitoring the patient's condition to alert and to take necessary action.

Tin sulfide (SnS) is a promising material for solar cell absorber layer applications due to its low cost, ease of availability and lower toxicity than other semiconductor materials, used for the same purpose. Thermal evaporation was used to deposit thin-film solar cells with SnS on glass and silicon substrates, with minimal silver doping ratios (0.02, 0.04 and 0.06) wt.% and thickness in the 125-nm range. Surface morphology, crystallite size and optical and electrical characteristics have all been thoroughly investigated. XRD analysis revealed that /both the undoped and Ag-doped SnS films were well crystallized, with an orthorhombic structure and polycrystalline nature. The (111) plane was the preferred orientation. Due to the low doping ratios, there are no silver-specific peaks. Additionally, the Scherer formula was used to calculate the crystallite size, which showed an increase from 3.7096 to 10.4716[Formula: see text]nm. AFM images showed that SnS: Ag (6[Formula: see text]wt.%) film has bigger grains than other samples. The Hall Effect test revealed that the film is p-type conductivity. The optical bandgap values were found to be in the (2.6–1.7[Formula: see text]eV) range. All of the SnS films had an absorption coefficient of more than [Formula: see text] above the fundamental absorption edge. These polycrystalline and highly absorbing SnS thin films can be used to make heterojunction solar cells. The wider energy gap of the produced films, which allows more light to reach the solar cell junction, was found to be connected to changes in thin film microstructure characteristics. The efficiency of the prepared solar cells reached 5.4% for the 6[Formula: see text]wt.%Ag-doped SnS/Si solar cell, with a fill factor of 0.46.

This article gives an overview of the most major attempts that have been made to construct a system that can filter online news and detect false news with a decent amount of accuracy. Data mining approaches were reviewed in the detection phase, including feature extraction and model construction.

We report a hybrid system based on conducting polymer-semiconductor from poly(otoluidine) (POT) doped with camphor sulfonic acid(CSA) and cadmium selenide capped with Tri sodium citrate(CdSe-TSC) by the physical mixing method. The influence of CdSe nanoparticles weight percent on the hybrid thin films have been investigated by means of XRD, FESEM, UV-VIS absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) measurements. The main diffraction peaks of POT/CdSe hybrids are analogous to the neat CdSe nanoparticles. The absorption measurement reveals that the interaction between CdSe and POT in the hybrid materials led to the blue shift and broadening of the polaron absorption band. The energy gap has been decreased with an increase in the concentration of CdSe NPs. the PL intensity has been totaly quenched when the tow materials are bring to other. The hybrid nanocomposite material and provides useful evidence apropos the optimum use of CdSe nanoparticles in conductive polymer based optoelectronics.

Protozoa parasites of the genus Leishmania have a great ability to avoid damage in the hostile environments they encounter throughout their life cycle within the host’s body. Parasites have developed many virulence factors to ensure their persistence and replication within the host, and the first role of these factors is to attenuate the host’s defenses against them through innate and adaptive immunity, as evidence indicates that the determinants of parasite virulence are responsible for evading the host’s defenses, allowing these organisms to survive on Alive in the host’s hostile immune environment. Understanding the molecular details of how these pathogens persist with impunity under extreme conditions is beginning to begin. The fact that Leishmania parasites have adapted not only to survive but are likely to reproduce is due to the protection afforded by specialized molecules on the parasite’s cell surface. Although recent years have seen clear and significant progress in the research on Leishmania in different directions, many issues have yet to be clarified. The surface of all parasites, especially protozoa, usually undergoes pronounced changes during their life cycle. It is of particular interest in the case of protozoan parasites of the genus Leishmania whose surface is exposed to different and hostile environments within vertebrate and invertebrate organisms. Because of the importance that the cell surface of pathogenic parasites plays in their interaction with the host for survival, some efforts have been devoted to their characterization. This review aims to give an overview of the main virulence factors that contribute to parasite survival and survival. There are many factors that affect the performance of the evolutionary and memetic algorithms. One of these factors is the proper selection of the initial population, as it represents a very important criterion contributing to the convergence speed. Selecting a conveniently preprocessed initial population definitely increases the convergence speed and thus accelerates the probability of steering the search towards better regions in the search space, hence, avoiding premature convergence towards a local optimum. In this paper, we propose a new method for generating the initial individual candidate solution called Circle Group Heuristic (CGH) for Discrete Bacterial Memetic Evolutionary Algorithm (DBMEA), which is built with aid of a simple Genetic Algorithm (GA). CGH has been tested for several benchmark reference data of the Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP). The practical results show that CGH gives better tours compared with other well-known heuristic tour construction methods.

The current study was carried out on a poultry farm that belongs to the Animal production department - College of Agriculture - University of Kufa, for the period from September 10, 2020, to October 14, 2020, for a period of 5 weeks, in which the effect of adding the ascorbic acid as antioxidant and ginseng root powder was studied. Red Ginseng (Panax) to reduce the effects of heat stress for broilers, the experiment included 420 unsexed Ross-308 chicks, one day old, with an average initial weight of 40 g, prepared from private hatcheries in the governorate of Babylon (Al-Anwar Al-Muradia hatchery). The chicks were divided into 7 treatments included for each Treatment of 60 chicks, with 3 replicates (each replicate is 20 chicks), and the treatments were divided as follows: T1: Standard (Control) without adding. T2, T3 and T4 were given 2, 4 and 6 g ginseng / kg of feed respectively, T5, T6, and T7 were given 2, 4 and 6g ascorbic acid /kg of feed respectively. Interleukin-7 (IL-7), a vital factor that affects cell development, proliferation, and survival, plays an important role in oocyte maturation. However, its role in embryonic development remains unknown. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of IL-7 supplementation on in vitro culture (IVC) of porcine embryos after parthenogenetic activation (PA) based on characteristics such as cleavage, blastocyst formation rate, intracellular glutathione (GSH) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in cleaved embryos, total cell number, apoptosis rate, and cell lineage specification in blastocysts. Immunofluorescence revealed that IL-7 and its receptor, IL-7Rα (IL-7R) localized in the cytoplasm of porcine parthenote embryos. By supplementing the IVC medium (PZM5) with various concentrations of IL-7, an optimal concentration that enhanced embryonic development, promoted intracellular GSH, and decreased ROS levels in the cleavage stage during porcine embryo IVC was determined. Investigation of mRNA expression patterns via qRT-PCR suggested that IL-7 possibly regulated maternal mRNA clearance and zygotic genome activation. Furthermore, IL-7 supplementation reduced blastocyst apoptosis, enhanced the expression of the inner cell mass marker SOX2, and phosphorylated STAT5 levels in the blastocysts. Moreover, it altered the transcription patterns of genes that regulate apoptosis, IL-7 signaling, and development. Thus, we demonstrated the localization of IL-7 and IL-7R in porcine preimplantation embryos in vitro for the first time. Furthermore, we suggest that IL-7 supplementation can be employed to enhance embryonic development and blastocyst quality based on the activation of the transcripts of genes that are involved in developmental competence and IL-7 signaling during in vitro porcine embryo development following PA.

We have applied all of this to the samples of poetry by the Syrian Arab poet Ali Ahmed Saeed Esbir, also known as Adonis.

In the last few decades, environmental contaminants (ECs) have been introduced into the environment at an alarming rate. There is a risk to human health and aquatic ecosystems from trace levels of emerging contaminants, including hospital wastewater (HPWW), cosmetics, personal care products, endocrine system disruptors, and their transformation products. Despite the fact that these pollutants have been introduced or detected relatively recently, information about their characteristics, actions, and impacts is limited, as are the technologies to eliminate them efficiently. A wastewater recycling system is capable of providing irrigation water for crops and municipal sewage treatment, so removing ECs before wastewater reuse is essential. Water treatment processes containing advanced ions of biotic origin and ECs of biotic origin are highly recommended for contaminants. This study introduces the fundamentals of the treatment of tertiary wastewater, including membranes, filtration, UV (ultraviolet) irradiation, ozonation, chlorination, advanced oxidation processes, activated carbon (AC), and algae. Next, a detailed description of recent developments and innovations in each component of the emerging contaminant removal process is provided.

Background: Acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination may be less common among parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders. This study aimed to explore the beliefs and willingness of parents of children with neurodevelopmental disorders about COVID-19 vaccine and understand how certain factors influencing the vaccine decision-making process differ between them and other parents’ groups. Methods: A cross-sectional qualitative study was conducted between August to November 2021. 400 parents from all 6 major regions in Saudi Arabia participated in an Arabic online survey and shared their beliefs about the new COVID-19 vaccination for their children. Results: The Cronbach alpha for Arabic version score was 0.71. 381 participants were eligible to answer the survey (95.2%) from 400 participants. The total number of parents of children with neurodevelopmental disorder was 158 (41.5%). 85 (53.8%) of them were ready to vaccinate their children with COVID-19 vaccine. While 36 (22.8%) were hesitant, the rest 37 (23.4%) did not want to vaccinate their children at all. Only a small number 16 (10.1%) have beliefs of vaccines as a cause of their child’s neurodevelopmental disorder. A total of 79 out of 131 responses were received from both parents’ groups. Fear of long-term side-effects was the most common reason reported by 41 responders out of 64 (64.06%) from parents of healthy children and 38 responders out of 67 (56.71%) from parents of diagnosed children. Another reason reported by parents of younger children in both groups was the child’s age. Having a healthcare relative worker was significantly associated with the vaccine decision making (p < .001). Conclusion: Although the majority of the respondents were willing to vaccinate their children against COVID-19, there are a number of parents around 45.14% who strongly refuse vaccination or are undecided about it yet. More information about the importance and safety of the vaccine should be accessible to those parents.

Titanium has been one of the traditional metals used in the medical industry since 1940. This work modeled and simulated a hip-joint replacement implant using Creo 5.0 and DEFORM 3D (v11.0), respectively. Four titanium-based billets were modeled; out of four billets, three billets were coated with a specified thickness, and one was uncoated. Among the three coated billets, one billet was coated with a 500-micron and two billets coated with a 1000-micron thickness. At the end of the simulation, the coating materials formed patches on the surface of the forged parts. The coating material Ti-6Al-4V (high O2) produced excellent mechanical properties in contrast to the CP-Ti material, which displayed low mechanical properties and did not match the core property. Hence, it was suggested to provide a bulk coating of Ti-6Al-4V (high O2) on the billet to improve the physio-mechanical properties and biocompatibility. Four points were selected on the surface of the forged parts at different locations for identifying the property variations concerning forging time. Results found that coating thickness required more on the side surface of the billet material than on the upper and lower surfaces to enhance its properties.

Aggregation of blastomeres is a promising method to improve the developmental competence of blastocysts and may be useful for the production of chimeric animals and the establishment of embryonic stem cell lines by increasing inner cell masses. Here, we determined the optimal conditions for blastomere aggregation using phytohemagglutinin-L (PHA-L) and examined PHA-L efficiency by comparing it with Well of the Well (WOW), a general blastomere aggregation method. As a result, we confirmed that treatment with 15 μg/ml PHA-L for 144 h was effective for blastomere aggregation and embryonic development of three zona-free 2-cell stage embryos (TZ2Es) after parthenogenetic activation (PA). The TZ2Es cultured with PHA-L showed a significantly (p < 0.05) higher blastomere aggregation rate than the WOW method (93.5 ± 1.9% vs. 78.0 ± 8.5%). In addition, our results demonstrated that TZ2Es aggregation through PHA-L improved the quality of PA-derived blastocysts and improved porcine embryonic stem-like cell (pESLCs) seeding efficiency and quality of colonies. It was also observed that PHA-L-derived pESLC could remain undifferentiated and exhibit typical embryonic stem cell pluripotency markers, embryoid body (EB)-forming ability, and differentiation into cell lineages of three germ layers. Pig blastomere aggregation technology is expected to improve embryo quality and the efficiency of embryonic stem cell establishment and embryoid-body formation. It can also be used in blastocyst complementation systems and in the production of chimeric animals.

Because of its high transmissibility and early diagnosis, it isn't easy to manage COVID-19. The popularly used RT-PCR method for COVID-19 disease diagnosis may provide false negatives. COVID-19 can be detected non-invasively using medical imaging procedures such as chest CT and chest x-ray. Deep learning is the most effective machine learning approach for examining a considerable quantity of chest computed tomography (CT) pictures that can significantly affect Covid-19 screening. Convolutional neural network (CNN) is one of the most popular deep learning techniques right now, and its gaining traction due to its potential to transform several spheres of human life. This research aims to develop conceptual transfer learning enhanced CNN framework models for detecting COVID-19 with CT scan images. Though with minimal datasets, these techniques were demonstrated to be effective in detecting the presence of COVID-19. This proposed research looks into several deep transfer learning-based CNN approaches for detecting the presence of COVID-19 in chest CT images.VGG16, VGG19, Densenet121, InceptionV3, Xception, and Resnet50 are the foundation models used in this work. Each model's performance was evaluated using a confusion matrix and various performance measures such as accuracy, recall, precision, f1-score, loss, and ROC. The VGG16 model performed much better than the other models in this study (98.00 % accuracy). Promising outcomes from experiments have revealed the merits of the proposed model for detecting and monitoring COVID-19 patients. This could help practitioners and academics create a tool to help minimal health professionals decide on the best course of therapy.

This study looks to compare early costs of index surgery and re-operations of robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasties (rTKA) and manual total knee arthroplasty (mTKA) re-operations within 90 days.The Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) database was queried for patients undergoing rTKA and mTKA at our institution from January 1st, 2018, to March 31st, 2021. Primary outcomes were the day of surgery and overall encounter variable direct costs (VDC). Secondary outcomes included 90-day re-operations and costs.One thousand two hundred seventy-six (21.2%) patients were in the rTKA cohort, while 4740 (78.8%) were in the mTKA cohort. When comparing rTKA to mTKA, rTKA had higher median total encounter costs (p 0.001) and higher encounter VDC costs (p 0.001). TKA had higher day of surgery total VDC (p 0.001), VDC supplies (p 0.001), and VDC of post-op recovery (p 0.001). Multivariate linear regression showed no relationship with age, BMI, OR time, or LOS with cost for rTKA or mTKA.Results from our study show that rTKA is associated with a higher index surgery costs, and no difference in 90-day re-operation costs. The main factor driving increased cost is supply cost, with other variables between too small in difference to make a significant financial impact. Future studies should focus on post-operative costs including readmission and episode of care costs and should consider cost to the payor as opposed to VDC. rTKA will become more common, and other institutions may need to take a closer financial look at this more novel instrumentation before adoption.III, retrospective cohort.

The estimates of Rayleigh fading channels are rapidly changing in multi carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) multiplexing systems. The most widely accepted answer to this issue is the conventional solution least square (LS) or mean square error estimator (MMSE) using the recursive least squares algorithm (RLS) or the least mean squares (LMS) algorithm. In much of the previous work, only one Kalman filter was used for estimation. In this paper, a Kalman filter is used with a Madgwicks filter together to satisfy the fading problems. However, this requires a priori evaluation of auto regressive (AR) parameters. A standard solution involves the first matching of the auto-completion function of the applying the AR method to Jakes' problem and then tackling it (YWE). Even more the results procedure is limited to crowd constraints and is related to an AR+ process of noise, an approximation considered. In fact, depending on simulation findings, high-AR models outperform conventional models on the basis of spectral estimate and bit error margins (BER). Nevertheless, in order to save costs of computing, the 5-D model of AR is a possibility. The proposed process outperforms edge of art competitors in terms of bit error rate as demonstrated by results.

Electric cars (EVs) are getting more and more popular across the globe. While comparing traditional utility grid-based EV charging, photovoltaic (PV) powered EV charging may significantly lessen carbon footprints. However, there are not enough charging stations, which limits the global adoption of EVs. More public places are adding EV charging stations as EV use increases. However, using the current utility grid, which is powered by the fossil fuel basing generating system, to charge EVs has an impact on the distribution system and could not be ecologically beneficial. The current electric vehicle (EV) market, technical requirements including recent studies on various topologies of electric vehicle/photovoltaic systems, charging infrastructure as well as control strategies for Power management of electric vehicle/photovoltaic system., and grid implications including electric vehicle and Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles charging systems, are all examined in depth in this paper. The report gives overview of present EV situation as well as a thorough analysis of significant global EV charging and grid connectivity standards. Finally, the challenges and suggestions for future expansion of the infrastructure of EV charging, grid integration, are evaluated and summarized. It has been determined that PV-grid charging has the ability to create a profit. However, due to the limited capacity of the PV as well as the batteries, the Power system may not be cost effective. Furthermore, since PV is intermittent, it is probable that it will not be able to generate enough electricity to meet consumer demand.

The restriction on an individual’s physical functioning, mobility and other functions of daily living pertains to impact one’s life in many aspects. But psychological buildups are of more important in order to adjust with physical disability in routine life. The current study stressed on to explore the relationship between self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems (depression, anxiety and stress) in physically disabled adolescents and find the gender differences in self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems. The sample was consisted of 100 adolescents (50 males and 50 females-age ranging from 13 to 17 years) were selected from the special educational institutes of physically disabled adolescents, Lahore. The Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1993), DASS-21 (Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995) and Demographic Form was used in this research to measure the variables. The data was analyzed through SPSS and Pearson Product Coefficient Correlation and independent sample t-test were used. Results showed the significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems. Gender differences were significant on self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems.

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) originated in Wuhan City, China. As of May 4, 2020, COVID-19 had become a global pandemic, affecting millions worldwide. We aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine on gaming behavior among children and adolescents in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and its impact on child behavior, preference, and sleep and to assess parents’ supervision of the usage of electronic devices. Methodology: A cross-sectional study (web-based questionnaire) was carried out in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The survey included 747 participants who were Arabic speakers in the age range of 4-18 years. The present study excluded children below 4 years or above 18 years of age and non-Arabic speakers. The validated Arabic version of the web-based questionnaire was distributed randomly among the Saudi population of Eastern Province. Results: The results showed a significant association between the quarantine period and the increasing duration of gaming activities among children and adolescents. With regard to video games’ effect on child behavior, 20.4% became introverted and 14.5% became more aggressive after playing games. In addition, 282 participants were found to have sleeping disturbances, which is estimated to be 37.8% of the total sample. However, an increase in the duration of gaming activities may have an adverse effect on the children’s mental health. Conclusion: This study showed an increase in playing duration, thus impacting the child’s behavior and sleep. Mental health professionals must provide advice on coping strategies for parents and educators to alleviate the pandemic-related stress in individuals. They must also pay attention to excessive gaming activity among at-risk individuals, such as children and teens, and its adverse effects, such as sleep disorders and psychological disturbance.

The efficiency of somatic cell nuclear transfer (NT) in pigs is low and requires enhancement. We identified the most efficient method for zona pellucida (ZP) removal and blastomere aggregation in pigs and investigated whether the aggregation of NT and parthenogenetic activation (PA) of blastomeres could reduce embryonic apoptosis and improve the quality of NT-derived embryos by investigating. Embryonic developmental competence after ZP removal using acid Tyrode's solution or protease (pronase E). The embryonic developmental potential of NT-derived blastomeres was also investigated using well-of-the-well or phytohemagglutinin-L. We analyzed apoptosis in aggregate-derived blastocysts. The aggregation rate of protease-treated embryos was lower than that of Tyrode’s solution-treated embryos (69.2% vs. 88.3%). No significant difference was observed between phytohemagglutinin-L and well-of-the-well (35.7%–38.5%). However, 2P1N showed a higher number of blastocysts compared to 3N (73.8% vs. 24.3%) and an increased blastocyst diameter compared to the control and 1P2N (274 μm vs. 230–234 μm). In blastomeres aggregated using phytohemagglutinin-L, the apoptotic cell ratio was significantly higher in 1P2N and 3N than in 3P (5.91%–6.46% vs. 2.94%, respectively). Our results indicate that aggregation of one NT embryo with two PA embryos improved the rate of blastocysts with increased blastocyst diameter.

In comfort, air-conditioning control over the humidity is essential in applications such as pharmaceutical industries, electronic gadgets manufacturing units, the food sector, paper industries, etc. Relative humidity of nearly 50% can effectively prevent the growth and abidance of biological pollutants. There are several methods using which dehumidification can be achieved. The most common method is subcooling air up to the condensation temperature of the moisture trapped and then cooling again, and the condensate is collected. This method is time-consuming and needs to be more effective. On the other hand, desiccants’ dehumidification process is suitable for maintaining humidity in air-conditioning systems and producing dry air. Desiccants with economical materials, high moisture removal rate, low regeneration temperature, and steadiness after many years make a desiccant system more successful in its performance and cost. The effect of change in process air temperature, process air humidity ratio, and regeneration temperature on the system's performance is studied. This research focuses on the functioning of various desiccant dehumidification systems and their applications. A comparative study of the different dehumidification systems found efficiency, low maintenance cost, and high sustainability.

This paper evaluated the oil and gas potential of the Cretaceous Yageliemu clastic reservoir within the Yakela condensed gas field lying in the Kuqa Depression, Tarim Basin, China. The petrophysical properties of the interest zones in the Kuqa area were characterized using geophysical logs from five wells. The results reveal that the gas-bearing zones are characterized by high resistivity, good permeability (K) and effective porosity (Φeff), low water saturation (Sw), and low shale concentration (Vsh), reflecting clean sand. The shale distribution model showed that these shales have no major influence on porosity and fluid saturation. The average shale volume, average effective porosity, and hydrocarbon saturation indicate that the Cretaceous Yageliemu Formation in the studied area contains prospective reservoir properties. The spatial distribution of petrophysical parameters, reservoir rock typing (RRT), and lithofacies were analyzed using the cross plots of litho saturation (volumetric analysis), iso-parametric representations of the petrophysical characteristics, cluster analysis, and self-organizing feature maps, respectively. The southeastern and northeastern regions of the research area should be ignored because of their high water and shale concentrations. The sediments in the southwest and northwest include the most potential reservoir intervals that should be considered for the future exploration and development of oil and gas fields in the study area.

In automobiles, the cooling system is essential in increasing engine performance. Conventional coolants like water and ethylene glycol have low thermal conductivity. Nanotechnology allows the development of a high thermal conductivity coolant named ‘nanocoolant’, a colloidal suspension. This study is focused on the effect of nanocoolant size on the radiator, which is also responsible for fuel consumption. To prepare nanocoolant two-step method was used, in which nanoparticles were prepared separately and dispersed in a base fluid under ultrasonic agitation. This research was carried out for the dispersion of Al2O3 in a water-ethylene glycol mixture with volume concentrations of 0%, 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6%. The experimentation was carried out on 180, 216, 288 and 360 mm tube-length radiators. The experiments were conducted at a coolant inlet temperature 65 °C, air velocity of 1.05 m/s, and volume rate of 4 to 9 litres per minute. The result shows that using 0.2% Al2O3 nanoparticles, the overall heat transfer coefficient was augmented by 43% more than the base fluid. It is also seen that for 0.6% volume fraction nanocoolant, approximately 65% reduction in frontal radiator area is possible, which leads to decrement in the drag force and pumping power.
