In recent years, studies on the use of car tyre wastes in concrete have gained momentum. Especially, the effect of recycled waste steel wires (RWSWs) from tyres to be mixed into concrete for using in newly designed reinforced concrete buildings on the performance of construction elements is a fairly new research area. In this study, the bending behaviour of 12 reinforced concrete beams was investigated having 1/3 geometric scale, 100 × 150 × 1000 mm in size, and produced with RWSWs additive in different volumetric ratios (1%, 2%, and 3%) under vertical loads. Another main parameter selected in the study was the amount of varying tension reinforcements (2ϕ12, 2ϕ10, and 2ϕ8). The load-carrying, stiffness, ductility, and energy dissipation capacities of the RWSW reinforced bending beams were compared with the primary aim of this study which was to examine and present the contribution of RWSWs on the improvement of the bending performance of the reinforced concrete beams. The results revealed that the mechanical properties of the hybrid beams with RWSWs vary depending on dosages but are comparable with those of the beams-only with the same fibre dosage. A positive effect was obtained for the hybrid beams containing 2–3% RWSWs. Besides, RWSWs were found to be highly well mobilised at larger crack widths, and the post-cracking strength of RWSW mixes was significantly higher. Considering both mechanical properties of the beams and fresh properties such as the workability, 2% of RWSWs is recommended to be utilised in the reinforced concrete beams. On the other hand, the results were compared with the predictions of the methods given in the literature and standards. Moreover, an equation was derived to better predict the capacity of the hybrid beams using RWSWs.

In parallel with the increase in vehicle sales worldwide, waste tires are becoming an increasing problem. The storage and disposal of these waste tires are critical environmental problems. Re-using these wastes in different areas instead of being disposed of is vital in preventing environmental pollution and creating new low-cost products. From this motivation, this paper investigates the properties of traditional reinforced-concrete beam with recycled steel wires (RSWT) obtained from the waste tires. RSWT were added to reinforced-concrete beam between 1% and 3% by weight with an increment of 1%. In total, 9 cubes, 12 cylinders and 12 reinforced-concrete beams were cast and tested to obtain the compressive, splitting tensile and flexural strengths, respectively. RSWT added to the concrete by 1%, 2% and 3% increased the compressive strength by 17.2%, 30.8% and 46.4%, respectively, compared to the reference concrete. In split tensile strength, 14.4%, 25.1% and 36.7% increases were observed, respectively. This showed that there was an effective increase in the compressive and tensile strength of concrete with the increase of fiber content. Although the effect of fiber content in samples with high stirrup spacing (27 cm) provides significant benefit in improving the beam behavior, the effect of fibers was more limited as the stirrup spacing decreased (20 cm and 16 cm). An approximation of over 91% was obtained between the analytical calculations and the experimental results. This shows that the analytical calculations given in the standards can be used for new experimental studies.

Gelişen yazılım teknolojisi ile birlikte tasarımcı, seçilen deprem yönetmeliğine göre yapının analizini paket programlar yardımıyla kolaylıkla yapabilmektedir. Deprem yükünün tespitinde en önemli aşama yapının doğal titreşim periyodunun belirlenmesidir. Yönetmelikler tasarımcının, basit periyod bağıntıları (amprik) ve fiktif kuvvetler altındaki deplasmanalara bağlı literatürde kabul görmüş yöntemlere göre hesap yapmasını istemektedir. Bu çalışmada SAP2000 ve ETABS analiz programları kullanılarak yapının doğal titreşim periyodu tespit edilmiş ve elde edilen periyod değerleri TBDY-2019’da verilen yaklaşımlarla kıyaslanmıştır. Çalışmada İstanbul/Avcılar’da yapılacak olan 2-9 katlı çerçeve tipi betonarme binaların, ZA ve ZC zemin sınıfları için ETABS ve SAP2000 analizinden elde edilen periyot, taban kesme kuvveti ve göreli kat ötelemeleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Analiz programlarının periyot seçerken yaptığı hesap kabullerinden dolayı 4-9 katlı binalarda ETABS’da bulunan periyot SAP2000’de bulunan periyottan %9,5-40 kadar daha az sonuç vermiştir. Dolayısıyla yapıya gelen taban kesme kuvveti de aynı oranda değişmiştir. Ayrıca yalnızca SAP2000’de iki zemin sınıfı için yapılan analizler sonunda ZC zemin sınıfında elde edilen taban kesme kuvveti ZA zemin sınıfına göre %50-80 daha fazla olduğu görülmüştür. Göreli kat ötelemeleri ise ZA zemin sınıfı yerine ZC zemin sınıfı seçilmesi durumunda %49,2-92 kadar daha fazla elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak tasarımcılara yol gösterici olması amacıyla analiz programlarında yapılan hesap kabulleri açıklanmıştır., With the developing software technology, the designer can quickly analyze the structure according to the chosen earthquake code with the help of package programs. The most critical step in determining the earthquake load is to determine the natural vibration period of the structure. Regulations require the designer to calculate according to methods accepted in the literature based on simple period relations (empirical) and displacements under fictitious forces. In this study, the natural vibration period of the structure was determined using the SAP2000 and ETABS analysis programs and the obtained period values were compared with the approaches given in TBEC-2019. In the study, the period, base shear force and relative story drifts obtained from the ETABS and SAP2000 analysis for the ZA and ZC soil classes of the 2-9 story frame type RC buildings to be built in Istanbul/Avcılar were compared. Due to the calculation assumptions made by the analysis programs when choosing the period, the period found in ETABS in 4-9-story buildings yielded 9.5-40% fewer results than the period found in SAP2000. Therefore, the base shear force on the structure also changed at the same rate. In addition, at the end of the analyzes made for only two soil classes in SAP2000, it was seen that the base shear force obtained in the ZC soil class was 50-80% higher than in the ZA soil class. Relative story drifts were obtained as 49.2-92% higher when ZC soil class was chosen instead of the ZA soil class. As a result, the analysis programs' calculations are explained to guide the designers.

Türkiye’de inşaat sektörü 1960’lı yılların sonu itibari ile beton prefabrikasyon ile tanışmıştır. Prefabrike olarak üretilen yapılar seri üretimlerinin ve montajlarının hızlı olmasından dolayı özellikle sanayi yapılarında daha fazla tercih edilmişlerdir. Bu yapı türünün en büyük dezavantajı özellikle mafsallı birleşim bölgelerinde oluşan hasarlardır. Çatı kirişleri ile aşık kirişlerinin birleştiği bölgelerde de bağlantı genellikle mafsallı olarak gerçekleştirilir. Bundan dolayı mesnet bölgelerinde teorik olarak moment oluşmamakta ve bu tip kirişlerin kesit tesirleri basit mesnetli kirişlerde olduğu gibi hesaplanmaktadır. Ancak aşık inceltilmiş uç bölgelerinde yoğunlaşan kesme kuvveti, kesme gerilmelerinin artmasına neden olduğundan bu bölgenin detaylandırılması için bir takım özel tasarım kuralları ilgili standartlarda yer almıştır. Bu birleşim bölgelerinde özellikle etkili ve uzun süreli kar yağışlarından sonra çatıda biriken yoğun kar neticesinde hasarlar gözlemlenmektedir. Bu hasarlar nispeten daha eski prefabrike yapı stokunda bulunanlar başta olmak üzere inceltilmiş uçlu aşık kirişleri için önemli bir risk oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, şimdiye kadar kapsamlı olarak araştırılmamış olan inceltilmiş uçlu aşıkların düşey yük etkisi altında davranışları, aşıkların değişen mekanik parametrelerine göre deneysel ve numerik olarak incelenmiştir. İlk olarak yürürlükteki standartlara uygun olan ve olmayan iki adet aşık kirişinin deneyleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ardından yine standarda uygun bir adet aşık kiriş inceltilmiş uç hasarının önlenlenmesi amacıyla CFRP ile güçlendirilerek test edilmiştir. Daha sonra ABAQUS programıyla modellenen aşıklardan elde edilen sonuçlar ile deneysel çalışma sonuçları ile doğrulanmıştır. Tüm deneysel sonuçlarla numerik modelleme sonuçlarının oldukça yakın olduğu görülmüştür. Numerik model numunelerinde gözlenen hasarlar ile deneylerde oluşan hasarların benzer olması yeni parametrik çalışmalarda numerik modellerin kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir. Doğrulamanın ardından aşıkların mekanik özellikleri ile güçlendirme alternatiflerine bağlı bir dizi parametrik çalışma numerik olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Parametrik çalışmada; özellikle mevcut aşıklarda beton basınç dayanımı, donatı çekme dayanımı ve aşık kirişlerin üretiminde kullanılan öngerme seviyesinin tasarlanandan farklı olabileceği düşüncesiyle bir parametre olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca karbon elyaf takviyeli polimer (CFRP) kumaş ile güçlendirilen ve yönetmeliğe göre tasarlanmayan aşıkların davranışı da yine parametrik çalışma kısmında incelenmiştir. Parametrik çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre beton basınç dayanımı daha etkin olmakla beraber beton ve çelik dayanımının artışı ile kesme kapasitesinde önemli ölçüde artış sağlandığı görülmüştür. Elde edilen sonuçlarda öngerme değeri artışının kapasiteye hatırı sayılır bir etki sağlamadığı görülmüştür. CFRP ile güçlendirilen numunelerde aşığın yük taşıma kapasitesinin %50’ye arttığı ve hasarın inceltilmiş uç bölgesi dışına kaydığı (inceltilmemiş bölgeye) görülmüştür. Parametrik çalışma ile farklı ve uygulanabilir CFRP alternatifleri de modellenerek en iyi güçlendirme alternatifi önerildi. Bununla beraber inceltilmiş uçlu aşıkların donatı tasarımına esas bazı öneriler getirilmiştir., The construction sector in Turkey has met concrete prefabrication at the end of the 1960s. Prefabricated structures have been preferred more especially in industrial buildings due to their rapid production and fast erecting. The biggest disadvantage of these structures is the damages that occurred at especially the region of hinged connection. The connection of roof beams and purlin beams are generally assembled with a hinged connection. Therefore, a moment does not occur theoretically in the support areas and the cross-sectional effects of these beams are calculated as in simple support beams. However, since the shear force concentrated in the thinned end regions causes an increase in shear stresses, a number of special design rules are included in the relevant standards for the detailing of this region. Damages are observed in these connections as a result of snow accumulated on the roof especially after effective and prolonged snowfall. These damages pose a significant risk for thinned end beams, especially those in the relatively older prefabricated building stock. In this present study, the behavior of thinned end purlins under vertical loading, which have not been investigated extensively before, has been numerically and experimentally examined according to varying mechanical parameters. First, experiments of two purlin beam, which are in accordance with current standards and not, were carried out. Then another purlin beam in accordance with the standard, which was strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) in order to prevent thinned end damage, was tested. Then, the results obtained from the purlins modeled with ABAQUS program were verified with the results of the experimental study. The results of numerical modeling were found to be very close to all experimental findings. The similarities between the damages observed in the experiments and numerical modeling showed that numerical models can be used in new parametric studies. After the verificifation, a number of parametric studies related to the mechanical properties of the purlins and strengthening alternatives were performed numerically. In the parametric study, concrete compressive strength, reinforcement tensile strength and the pre-stressing level used in the production of purlin beams, especially in existing purlin, was evaluated as a parameter with the idea that it may differ from the designed one. In addition, the behavior of purlins which are not in accordance with standards and strengthened with CFRP was also examined in the parametric study section. According to the results of the parametric study, it has been observed that a significant increase in shear capacity has been achieved with the increase of concrete and steel strength although the concrete compressive strength is more effective. The results showed that increasing the pretension value does not have a significant effect on the capacity. In addition, the shear capacity of purlin strengthened with CFRP has increased up to 50% and the damage has shifted to out of the thinned end region. With the aid of parametric study, different and feasible CFRP alternatives were also modeled and the best strengthening alternative was recommended. In addition, some suggestions for the design of the reinforcements for the thinned ended purlins were made.

Betonarme yapıların hesap ve tasarımına yönelik TBDY-2019 yönetmeliği ile kapsamlı değişiklikler yapılmıştır. 2019 Ocak ayında yürürlüğe giren yeni deprem yönetmeliği ile beraber artık yeni yapılacak yapıların tasarımlarında bu yönetmeliğin kullanımı zorunlu hale getirilmiştir. Yeni yönetmelikle beraber yapılan değişiklerden biri de yapıların doğal titreşim periyodunun hesabı ile ilgilidir. TBDY-2019 yönetmeliği ile belirli şartlar altında ampirik bir formülün kullanılabileceği önerilmektedir. TDY-2007 yönetmeliğinde olmayan bu yeni formül (T=Ct*HN 3/4) artık yönetmelikte istenilen şartların sağlanması durumunda Rayleigh periyod hesabı yerine kullanılabilecektir. Yapıların deprem yükü hesabında oldukça önemli olan yapı periyodu için önerilen bu formülün uygulanabilir olup olmadığına yönelik incelemelerin yapılması önemlidir. Bunun için bu çalışmada yönetmelikte verilen ampirik formül ile Rayleigh periyod formülü analitik olarak karşılaştırılmıştır. ETABS yapı analiz programı kullanılarak yapılan bu karşılaştırmada 2-5 katlı betonarme çerçeve+perde tipi konut ve okul binası farklı zemin sınıflarına göre dikkate alınmıştır. Yapılan analizlerde konut ve okul yapısı için ZA zemin sınıfında Rayleigh periyodundan bulunan taban kesme kuvveti, ampirik formülden bulunan taban kesme kuvvetinden BYS7’de yaklaşık olarak %20-%25 daha fazla iken, BYS8’de %8.5 daha fazla çıkmaktadır. BYS6 için karşılaştırıldığında ampirik formülden bulunan taban kesme kuvveti, Rayleigh’ den bulunan taban kesme kuvvetinden kat yüksekliğinin artmasına bağlı olarak %7-%19 arasında artış göstermektedir. Bu durumda yönetmeliğin emniyetli tarafta kalma düşüncesiyle önermiş olduğu ampirik formül yalnızca BYS6 durumu için Rayleigh den daha yüksek taban kesme kuvveti verdiği görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla BYS6, BYS7 ve BYS8 için önerilen ampirik formülün yeniden değerlendirilmesi ve farklı yapı modelleri üzerinden analizlerin yapılarak geniş kapsamlı bir değerlendirmenin gerekliliği önerilmektedir. Dolayısıyla BYS6,BYS7 ve BYS8 için önerilen ampirik formülün yeniden değerlendirilmesi ve farklı yapı modelleriüzerinden analizlerin yapılarak geniş kapsamlı bir değerlendirmenin gerekliliği önerilmektedir.

Bu çalışmada, bina sakinlerinin binayı terk etmelerine gerek kalmadan uygulanabilecek bir güçlendirme yöntemi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, özellikle (ülkemizdeki) mevcut betonarme binalarda sıklıkla görülen hatalara sahip olarak üretilen 1/3 ölçekli, deprem dayanımı zayıf, iki katlı ve tek açıklıklı güçlendirilmemiş tuğla dolgu duvarlı bir adet betonarme çerçeve referans numune olarak üretilmiştir. Ayrıca referans numune ile aynı özelliklere sahip 1 adet betonarme çerçeve dolgu duvarları, önüretimli yüksek dayanımlı yeni çapraz beton paneller ile güçlendirilerek deprem etkisini benzeştiren tersinir – tekrarlanır yatay yükleme altındaki davranışları test edilmiştir. Deney sonuçları, SAP2000 v17.3’de yapılan analitik çalışma ile karşılaştırılmış olup uygulanan tekniğin deney elemanlarının enerji yutma kapasitelerini artırdığını ve deprem davranışlarını iyileştirdiğini göstermiştir., In this study, a strengthening method that can be applied without building occupants having to leave the building was investigated. Moreover, strengthening three reinforced concrete infilled frame wall having same features with reference sample by new diagonal concrete panels which are precast, high strengths in different shapes, their behaviors under reversible-repeatable horizontal loading simulating earthquake effect have been tested. Results of the experiment have been compared with the analytic study used in SAP2000 v17.3 and it has been observed that applied technique has increased the energy dissipation capacity of test elements and improved the earthquake behaviors.

Türkiye'deki yapı stoğunun önemli bir kısmı her an olması muhtemel büyük depremlere karşı yeterli dayanım, rijitlik ve sünekliğe sahip değildir. Yapıların depreme karşı güçlendirilmesi ise devamlı gündeme gelmekte ve yapılar farklı teknikler kullanılarak güçlendirilmektedir. Bu anlamda yaygın olarak kullanılan yerinde dökme betonarme perde duvarlar, sistem davranışının iyileştirilmesinde oldukça etkili ve güvenilir bir yöntemdir. Fakat bu yöntemde inşaat işinin oldukça ağır ve uzun sürmesi sebebiyle binanın boşaltılmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu sebeple insanların hayatlarını kolaylaştıracak işçiliği hafif, ekonomik ve yapısal açıdan etkili güçlendirme yöntemlerinin geliştirilmesi ihtiyacı ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada önerilen tekniğin prensibi, yapıda bulunan sıvanmış boşluklu tuğla dolgu duvarların yüksek dayanımlı önüretimli yeni çapraz beton paneller ile güçlendirilerek birer betonarme (BA) eşdeğer perde duvara dönüştürülmesidir. Bu amaçla, özellikle (ülkemizdeki) mevcut betonarme binalarda sıklıkla görülen hatalara sahip olarak üretilen 1/3 ölçekli, deprem dayanımı zayıf, iki katlı ve tek açıklıklı güçlendirilmemiş tuğla dolgu duvarlı bir adet betonarme çerçeve referans numune olarak üretilmiştir. Ayrıca referans numune ile aynı özelliklere sahip 7 adet betonarme çerçeve dolgu duvarları, literatürde ilk kez kullanılan önüretimli yüksek dayanımlı farklı şekillerdeki yeni çapraz beton paneller ile güçlendirilerek deprem etkisini benzeştiren tersinir – tekrarlanır yatay yükleme altındaki davranışları test edilmiştir. Deney sonuçları, SAP2000 v17.3'de yapılan statik itme analizi ile karşılaştırılmış olup uygulanan tekniğin deney elemanlarının enerji tüketme kapasitelerini artırdığını ve deprem davranışlarını iyileştirdiğini göstermiştir. Major part of the structural stock in Turkey doesn't have sufficient endurance, rigidity and ductility against possible large earthquakes. Strengthening of structures against earthquakes always appears on the agenda and structures are being strengthened by using different techniques. In this context, cast in place reinforced concrete shear walls is a highly effective and reliable method for improving the system behavior. However, construction work takes long time in this method, so the structure is required to be emptied before the practice. For this reason, it is required to develop the strengthening methods which facilitates lives of people and which is economic and effective in terms of structure. The principle of the technique recommended in this study is to convert plastered hollow brick walls of the structure to shear walls equivalent to reinforced concretes (RC) by strengthening them with high-strength precast new diagonal concrete panels. For this purpose, a reinforced concrete frame, which is 1/3 scaled, low-strengthened against earthquake, has two-story and single span unreinforced brick infilling wall, has been produced with failures frequently seen especially in concrete buildings of our country as reference sample. Moreover, strengthening 7 reinforced concrete infilled frame wall having same features with reference sample by new diagonal concrete panels which are precast, high strengths in different shapes used for the first time in the literature, their behaviors under reversible-repeatable horizontal loading simulating earthquake effect have been tested. Results of the experiment have been compared with the pushover analysis used in SAP2000 v17.3 and it has been observed that applied technique has increased the energy consumption capacity of test elements and improved the earthquake behaviors. 316

Deneyler Bastian, Akuzoft, Insul ve dBKAisla modelleri kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Modeller ISO 12354, ISO 10140 ve ISO 717 standartlarında 1/3 oktav bant analiz yapmaktadır. Kullanılan bu modellerde literatürdeki temel hesaplama formülleri, tek tabakalı paneller için R hesabında kullanılması gereken hesap yöntemleri, kullanılan panel boyutları ile malzemeye ait kalınlık, yoğunluk, elastisite modülü, porozite, iç kayıp faktörü ve sesin havadaki hızı dikkate alınmıştır. Bu sayede, farklı frekanslara karşılık gelen R değerleri deneysel çalışmalarla bulunmuş malzemelerin, farklı ses yalıtım modelleri kullanılarak simülasyonları yapılmış, sonuçları karşılaştırılarak kullanılan ses yalıtım modellerinin etkinlikleri belirlenmiştir. In this study, for 11 different materials, we compare the performance of various simulation models with the experimental results that are already available in the literature. The experiments were carried out with Bastian, Akuzoft, Insul and dBKAisla model. The analyses were conducted in the standards of ISO 12354, ISO 10140 and ISO 717 in 1/3 octave band. In the models, basic formulas from the literature, computation methods that is necessary to be used in R value calculation for single panels, dimensions of the panels, thickness, density, elasticity module, porosity, internal loss factor belonging to the material and velocity of sound in air have been taken into consideration. In summary, we conducted the simulations with different sound insulation models for the materials whose R values correspond to particular frequencies that have been calculated using experimental work. Comparing the results, effectiveness of each model has been calculated in terms of R and "Weighted Sound Reduction Index (Rw)".

In this study, a series of investigation was carried out considering Z1, Z2, Z3 and Z4 type soils stated in Turkish Earthquake Code 2007 (TEC-2007) for the reinforced concrete frame model having torsional irregularity (A1) and plan irregularities (A3) with high ductility level of L type central floor load-bearing system designed in accordance to TEC-2007. The investigated structure is an 8-floor school building having the building importance factor of I = 1.4 and existing in 1stdegree Seismic Zone. The earthquake analyses were performed with SAP2000 v.16.1.1. computer program by considering the Equivalent Seismic Load Method (ESLM) and Mode Combinaion Method (MCM). Base shear force, torsional force, overturning moment, effective mass participation ratio, building period, floor displacement and effective relative floor projection were calculated considering the commonly used calculation methods and the boundary conditions of TEC-2007 for different soil classes in terms of structure-soil interaction and compared according to commonly used calculation methods

Teknolojinin hızla gelişmesi, çok çeşitli alanlarda insanların yaşamlarını olumlu yönde etkilerken, beraberinde getirdiği olumsuzluklar da her geçen gün etkisini göstermektedir. Bunlardan birisi hiç şüphesiz gürültüdür. Çağımızın problemi haline gelen gürültü, farkında olmadan birçok hastalıkları da beraberinde getirmektedir. İnsanlar evlerinde, ofislerinde daha doğrusu bulundukları her yerde sessiz ortamlara ihtiyaç duymaktadırlar. Dolayısıyla yalıtılmış ortamlar insanlar için vazgeçilemez bir hal almıştır. İnsanların bu gibi ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmek için de çok çeşitli yalıtım malzemeleri geliştirilmiştir. Bunlara örnek olarak: cam yünü, taş yünü, yumuşak poliüretan esaslı köpükler, melamin köpüğü, keçeler, delikli metaller, delikli ahşaplar, delikli alçı panolar, mantarlar, kauçuk köpüğü, susturucular, akustik laminasyonlu cam çözümleri verilebilir. Literatür incelendiğinde, özellikle mühendislikte sıkça kullanılan simülasyon tekniklerinin ses yalıtım alanına da uygulanması üzerine bazı çalışmalar yapılmış olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmalar sayesinde, uzun ve maliyetli deneysel çalışmalar modellenerek çok daha kısa sürede malzemelerin ses yalıtım özellikleri hakkında önemli bilgilere ulaşılabilmektedir. Bu tezde, farklı ses yalıtım modelleri kullanılarak yapı malzemelerinin ses geçiş kayıp değerleri karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Karşılaştırmalar, Bastian, Akuzoft, Insul ve dBKAisla modelleri ile Comsol akustik modülü kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Kullanılan modellerden Bastian, EN12354, ISO 140 ve ISO 717 standartlarında analiz yapma kapasitesine sahipken, Akuzoft, bazı malzemelerin ses geçiş kayıplarının hesaplanmasında kullanılmaktadır. Diğer yandan Insul, malzemenin yüzey kütlesi ve frekansını dikkate almakta olup, dBKAisla da EN12354 standardında 1/3 oktav bant analizi yapabilmektedir. Son olarak Comsol ise, ses yalıtım problemlerinde de kullanılabilen sonlu elemanlar metodu tabanlı genel amaçlı bir simülasyon paket programıdır. Yapılan bu çalışmada, farklı frekanslara karşılık gelen ses geçiş kayıp değerleri deneysel çalışmalar sonucunda bulunmuş malzemelerin, farklı ses yalıtım modelleri kullanılarak simülasyonları yapılmış, sonuçları karşılaştırılarak kullanılan ses yalıtım modellerinin etkileri belirlenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda, kullanılan modellerin farklı malzemeler için ses geçiş kaybı ve ses azaltım indisi bakımından etkinlikleri saptanmış, doğruluk değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Bu tez çalışması, farklı disiplinlerden araştırmacıların ses yalıtımı konusunda ön bilgiye sahip olmaksızın ses yalıtım modellerini kullanarak malzemeye ait kalınlık, yoğunluk, elastisite modülü, porozite ve iç kayıp faktörü gibi malzemeye ait parametrik değerlerin bilinmesi halinde, ses geçiş kaybı değerlerini hesaplayabilmelerine imkân tanıyabilecektir., The rapid development of technology not only results in positive effects on human life in various areas but also brings negative impacts every day. One of them is undoubtedly noise. Noise, a major problem of our era, unwittingly leads to many diseases. People need quite environments in their houses, offices precisely wherever needed. Therefore, insulated environments are indispensible and as a consequence, various insulation materials have been developed. Such materials include glass wool, rock wool, polyurethane soft foam, melamine foam, felt, perforated metal, perforated timber, perforated gypsum boards, floats, rubber foam, silencers, and acoustic laminated glass. When examining literature, there are some studies on sound insulation using simulation techniques which is often employed in engineering disciplines. These studies can provide valuable information only in a short time about sound insulation properties of the materials by modeling the experiments with long term and high cost. In this thesis, sound transmission loss values of building materials have been comparatively investigated using different sound insulation models. Comparisons are performed with Bastian, Akuzoft, Insul ve dBKAisla models and Comsol acoustics module. Among the models used, while Bastian has capacity for analysis in EN12354, ISO 140 and ISO 717 standards, Akuzoft is used in the computation of sound transmission loss for some materials. On the other hand, while Insul takes the material's surface mass and frequency into account in the calculations, dBKAisla can carry out 1/3 octave band analysis in EN12354 class. Finally, Comsol is a general purpose finite element based software package which can be also used in sound insulation problems. In this work, the effects of sound insulation models are examined on the materials whose values of sound transmission loss that correspond different frequencies are determined by experiments. Also, by the comparative analyses conducted, the effects of insulation models on the sound transmission loss and sound reduction index of different materials are explored. This thesis may allow the researchers from different disciplines to compute sound transmission loss without having prior knowledge about sound insulation by using insulation models and providing specific parameters of a material such as width, density, elasticity module, porosity, and internal loss factor.
