В статье рассматривается экспансия метафор из сферы-источника "неживая природа" в сферу-мишень "Движение BLM". The article examines the expansion of the metaphors of the source domain “Inanimate Nature” into the target domain of the “Black Lives Matter movement”. The study analyzes a corpus of 150 metaphors used to describe the BLM protesters by the Seattle Times journalists in the period from May to September 2020. The research methodology is based on the cognitive-discursive approach to metaphor analysis.

В данной статье рассматривается вопрос о новизне метафор, возникающих при актуализации социальных и военно-политических конфликтов, в которых средствами метафорической милитаризации описываются правоохранительные органы. This article focuses on the question of the novelty of metaphors that arise during actualization of social and military-political conflicts and protests in which law enforcement agencies are described by means of metaphorical militarization.

The study of precedent names in the media has become widespread in modern linguistics, but there is still no classification of contemporary methods of analyzing precedent names in media discourse. The purpose of this study is to classify the main methods of analyzing precedent names in the media based on a review of modern publications.

The study focuses on the problem of discourse, one of the most multifaceted and complex phenomena in modern linguistics. In this article, discourse is analyzed as a medium in which the principle of dialogism is implemented, and the typical properties of discourse are viewed upon as a result of existence of dialogues within it. The purpose of the study is to identify the intrinsic character of discourse in terms of dialogism. The article suggests a model of discourse space-time on the basis of American late-night show programs. Discourse space-time is a medium in which certain sphere-sources coexist, from which the author of the late-night show “selects” certain texts. These texts are dialogically associated with the text of the late-night show. В статье рассматривается использование метафоры в ре­чах политических лидеров на основе концепции американского лингвиста Джорджа Лакоффа. На примере инаугурационных ре­чей Владимира Путина и Дональда Трампа выявляются сферы-источники политической метафоры в текстах президентов. Анализ сфер-источников метафор позволяет раскрыть истин­ные смыслы посыла политических лидеров и определить их реальное отношение к обсуждаемым проблемам., The article considers the use of metaphors in the speeches of political leaders based on the concept of the American linguist George Lakoff. Using the example of the inaugural speeches of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, the author identifies the sources of political metaphor in the texts of the presidents. В статье представлен анализ доминантных метафорических моделей и их фреймов в дискурсе британского политика Дэвида Кэмерона., The article presents an analysis of dominant metaphorical models and their frames in the discourse of the British politician David Cameron (the study period covers the time from his election to the position of the British Conservative Party leader to his retirement from the post of Prime Minister). While using the metaphorical model with the source domain "MOVEMENT" the following frames are more active: "Travel", "Kind of movement", "Nature of movement", "Hindrance to movement", and "Factors facilitating movement". In the metaphorical model with the source domain «WAR», the following frames are more often used: "Fighting", "Participants of military actions", and "Weapons". Metaphors from the source domain «SPORT» mostly involve the frames: "Participants of sport events", "Sport competition", and "Condi-tions and rules of sport competitions". Mechanistic metaphors are usually found in the frames "Mechanism parts", "Dam-age to mechanism", and "Repair of mechanism". Domestic metaphors mainly belong to the frames "Building and its parts", "Construction and repair", and "Demolition". The author comes to the conclusion that metaphors with the source domain «WAR» prevailed during Cameron's election campaign, while metaphors with the source domain «MOVEMENT» were dom-inant during his office of Prime Minister of Great Britain.
