Installation of low-exergy water-based radiant systems can help alleviate the negative effects of increased energy consumption due to their suitability for combination with low-grade renewable energy sources. Radiant heating and cooling installations in buildings are common, but their application in existing buildings as part of retrofit is relatively rare. The present study investigated some of the aspects of the installation of radiant heating systems in existing buildings. Wall and ceiling systems with pipe underneath the surface were considered because of various potential benefits. These include the possibility of operating as cooling in summer and heating in winter, easy installation in existing buildings, minor space requirements, and no or little need to reduce the height of the storey, especially in the case of walls. It was found that with a thermally conductive core, only a thin insulation layer of 1 cm may suffice if the temperature difference between rooms is relatively small. For an insulating core, no insulation may be needed even at higher temperature differences between rooms. Reducing the pipe spacing to about 5 cm was found to be efficient in terms of increased thermal output per 1 cm of spacing. The location of the insulation had a small effect on the thermal losses, but the output was higher for insulation placed on the outer side of the wall due to a more uniform temperature distribution in the structure. Tato kniha je zaměřena na problematiku tvorby sálavé složky vnitřního prostředí budov. Popisuje fyzikální podstatu sdílení tepla sáláním, jeho působení na člověka, klasické metody návrhu tepelných zářičů a shrnuje stávající výpočetní softwary v dané oblasti. Ve své stěžejní části pak kniha detailně popisuje moderní metody počítačové simulace sdílení tepla sáláním a středních radiačních teplot. Kniha tak poskytuje ucelený přehled o stávajících a moderních analytických a numerických metodách řešení sdílení tepla sáláním, přičemž nově našemu oboru přináší vlastní odvození a podrobný popis metod Ray Tracing a S2S. Tyto modely radiace jsou schopné řešit tzv. radiační stíny, tedy identifikovat v budovách místa s odcloněnou sálavou složkou, kvantifikovat zde její intenzitu, a to i pro odrazivé povrchy a časově neustálené děje. Kniha dále popisuje implementaci těchto modelů radiace do nového výpočetního softwaru RadiA, jeho následné srovnání s jinými softwary a také úspěšné ověření experimentálním měřením na skutečné budově v reálném provozu. Kniha je určena především výzkumným pracovníkům, ale i technickým pracovníkům v oblasti počítačových simulací vnitřního prostředí budov a může též sloužit jako doplňková literatura posluchačům vysokých škol. The topic of this publication is numerical modelling of a radiant component in indoor climates, which is the fundamental parameter for designing heat-radiating panels. The radiant component has a significant impact not only on the thermal comfort, but mainly on the human health. When designing the heat-radiating panels, the numerical modelling enables optimizing of this radiant component in the living/working area in order to reduce utmost, so called, radiation shadows. These radiation shadows cause strong variability in the radiant component of thermal comfort in living or working areas as well as the undesired thermal asymmetry as perceived by human body. The result of this publication is an algorithm defining the mean radiant temperature in 3D geometry combined with one-dimensional transient heat transfer in building constructions. The algorithm for this calculation process in 2D geometry has been developed in our own software RadiA using Surface To Surface and Ray Tracing radiation models.

This article deals with the description and verifying energy model building in BSim software. Results of energy demands simulation for the internal microclimate formation in a real dwelling house carried out on the basis of actual hourly interval climatic data during a whole year are presented. The results are subsequently confronted with other calculation programs, possibly simplified methods, and particularly real measuring during a whole year. The aim is to verify reliability of BSim software and accuracy of various approaches to the calculation of building's energy demands for the internal climate formation. Příspěvek se zabývá popisem tvorby energetického modelu budovy v programu BSim a jeho ověřením. Jsou prezentovány výsledky simulace potřeb energií na tvorbu vnitřního mikroklimatu konkrétního bytového domu prováděné na základě skutečných hodinových klimatických dat v průběhu celého roku. Výsledky jsou následně konfrontovány s jinými výpočetními nástroji, případně zjednodušenými metodami, a především s reálným měřením v průběhu celého roku. Cílem je dílčím způsobem ověřit věrohodnost softwaru BSim a přesnost různých přístupů k výpočtu energetických potřeb budovy na tvorbu vnitřního klimatu.

Simulační řešení je v dnešní době jednou z nejaktuálnějších metod, pomocí které lze postihnout výměnu tepla, látky a dynamiku tekutin ve zkoumaném prostoru. Nejzásadnější předpoklad správného zpracovávání numerických CFD simulací je aplikace vhodných okrajových podmínek tak, aby výsledek řešení co nejlépe odpovídal skutečnému charakteru proudění. V příspěvku je řešena verifikace simulačního řešení, využívajícího software Flovent, experimentálním měřením prováděným v reálném prostoru při reálných podmínkách. Předmětem řešení je vybraná zasedací místnost s instalovaným chladicím trámcem, kde jsou měřena a následně stanovena rychlostní pole v daném prostoru. Závěrem příspěvku je porovnání výsledků měření se simulacemi zpracovanými před a po optimalizaci vstupních okrajových podmínek výpočtu. Simulation is at present time one of the most actual methods for modeling of exchange of heat, substances and dynamic of fluid in examined area. Fundamental presumption of correct CFD simulation is application of proper boundary conditions in order to meet real pattern of flow. In this text is described verification of simulations in software Flovent by experimental measurement done in the real room and conditions. The room is meeting room with installed chilled beam where were measured and consequently set velocities. Final part of this text deals with comparing of outcomes from measurement with simulation done before and after optimalization of boundary conditions.

Podstatou příspěvku je prezentace nového výpočetního modelu určeného pro dynamickou simulaci přenosu tepla v konstrukčních detailech stavebních konstrukcí. Vlastní výpočetní model je založen na numerickém řešení dvourozměrného nestacionárního vedení tepla metodou kont-rolních objemů s využitím obecných okrajových podmínek. Příspěvek obsahuje popis modelu, úlohy ověřující jeho správ-nost, a také úlohy prezentující využití modelu aplikovaného na konkrétní stavebně-konstrukční detail. Z úloh k využití mo-delu je prezentován výpočet lineárního činitele tepelných mostů a analýza vlivu volby počáteční podmínek na časovou ná-ročnost simulace nestacionárního sdílení tepla. The subject matter of the contribution is a presentation of a new calculation model designed for a dynamic simulation of heat transfer in building structure details. The actual calculation model is based on a numerical solution to 2D transient heat transfer by a method of finite volumes using general boundary conditions. The contribution includes a description of the model, tasks verifying its accuracy, and also tasks presenting the use of the model applied to a particular building structure detail. There is presented a linear thermal transmittance calculation and an analysis of a choice of initial conditions influence on a temporal demand of transient heat transfer simulation.

The paper presents an experimental and theoretic research on one of factors influencing the indoor climate in dwelling rooms heated by heating systems, the vertical distribution of temperatures. The paper summarizes results from simulation of the room heated by a gas space heater and a plate radiator. Among main factors causing unfavorable distribution of temperatures in a room belong insufficient elimination of cold dropping airflows and high temperature of heating air.
