The present study aims to reflect on the social perception of the image of Nursing in the context of pandemics and epidemics and the consequences for the profession. Adverse public health conditions can affect current models and the views of society for certain areas, professions, or the like, in addition to favoring changes in behavior, thoughts and actions. The social perception of Nursing is influenced and transformed, over the years, in the field of health. In the pandemic of the new coronavirus, the social perception of Nursing associated with heroic acts is noticeable. However, in addition to social recognition, a review of working conditions and wages in this category is necessary.
