Le module proposera une définition et analysera les data papers dans le contexte de la scienceouverte, posera la question des liens avec les entrepôts de données et les plateformes de revues, et évoquera lesenjeux des métadonnées et, d’une manière plus générale, des principes FAIR. Dans quel mesure les data paperscontribuent-ils à la « FAIRisation » des données de recherche ? Quel est le développement des data papers, enparticulier en SHS ? Quelles sont leurs perspectives, quelles sont les questions ouvertes ? Le module s’appuie surune revue de littérature, sur des analyses scientométriques et conceptuelles, sur plusieurs événements dont laconférence DH Nord 2021 à Lille et sur une expérience pratique en tant qu’auteur, peer reviewer et rédacteur.

L’objectif de cet ensemble de données est d’être capable de repro-duire ce réseau égyptien mais aussi de faciliter l’application de cette approche à d’autres domaines d’étude.2. Présentation de 25 ans de données du projet ThEMA dans un data paperThesaurus Exemplorum Medii Aevi (ThEMA) est une base de données collaborative sur les exempla médiévaux.Les sermons médiévaux renferment des milliers d’exempla, ou histoires exemplaires, souvent utilisés pourtransmettre doctrine et morale religieuses aux fidèles. Longtemps considérés comme une part négligeable destextes dogmatiques et moraux, ils sont désormais aussi approchés comme sources culturelles et historiques.Développée par l’historien Jacques Le Goff et ses héritiers, ThEMA comporte actuellement plus de 12 000 exem-pla indexés couvrant un long Moyen Âge s’étendant de l’Europe latine à Byzance et l’Asie, provenant de sourceschrétiennes, juives, islamiques et bouddhistes. La conversion au format XML-TEI et l’engagement vers des « FAIRdata » permettent un usage élargi des données.

Research assessment reform is crucial for the social sustainability of research infrastructures (RIs): RIs can only thrive in the long term if the researchers who contribute to their development and growth receive academic credit for the kind of work they do in and around research infrastructures. To put it bluntly, research infrastructures have a vested interest in supporting the reform of research assessment. But, conversely, ongoing attempts to reform research assessment can also benefit from the work of research infrastructures because RIs have a great deal of experience creating and maintaining public services for producing, curating and harvesting both traditional and non-traditional academic outputs. The goal of this paper is to outline DARIAH’s position on the importance of research assessment reform for thematic RIs and the importance of thematic RIs for research assessment reform at the European level.

What challenges does international law face in dealing with the ecological crisis? Can the actors, the rules, the tools for implementing international law evolve to contribute effectively to the resolution of socio-environmental problems? In order to respond to the ambitious command of the International Law Association to the Working Groups, the group that drafted the White paper on Anthropocene, coordinated by Sandrine Maljean-Dubois, undertook a very useful exercise in anticipation. While international law has a role to play, we cannot expect everything from it. It is not so much a revolution in values as a multiplication of changes in governance practices that could lead to the timely consideration of ecological preservation through international law.; À quels défis le droit international est-il confronté pour faire face à la crise écologique ? Les acteurs, les règles, les outils de mise en œuvre du droit international peuvent-ils évoluer pour contribuer efficacement à la résolution des problèmes socio-environnementaux ? Pour répondre à la commande ambitieuse de l’Association de Droit International aux groupes de travail sur le droit international de demain, l’équipe de rédaction du Livre Blanc sur l’anthropocène, coordonnée par Sandrine Maljean-Dubois, s’est livrée à un exercice d’anticipation fort utile. Si le droit international a un rôle à jouer, on ne peut pas tout en attendre. C’est moins une révolution des valeurs qu’une multiplication de changements de pratiques en matière de gouvernance, qui pourront conduire à une prise en compte, en temps utile, de la préservation écologique par le droit international.

International audience; Destinée aux chercheurs en sciences humaines et sociales souhaitant se lancer dans l'écriture d'un data paper, cette intervention propose un retour d'expérience prenant appui la production récente d'un tel article (Gay 2021). Celle-ci aborde les enjeux auxquels un producteur de data paper est souvent confronté.

Nous retracerons ici les principales orientations de l’action publique introduite ci-dessus tout en se focalisant plus en détail sur les modes de régulation des circuits de financement de l’immobilier locatif. On s’attachera ici à mettre en perspective les politiques publiques introduites depuis 2015 avec leurs effets (potentiels, attribués et réels) sur les quatre circuits de financement distingués dans des travaux antérieurs : financiarisé, défiscalisé, intermédiaire et social (Halbert, 2018). Cette mise en perspective consistera notamment à examiner si l’action publique menée durant les six dernières années constitue une « accélération des tendances anciennes » (Driant, 2020) comme le retrait étatique du financement du logement social (Pollard, 2018) avec un approfondissement de la dépendance des politiques du logement social aux mécanismes de valorisation foncière et immobilière (Gimat et Halbert). Par ailleurs, ce working paper met en lumière les dynamiques relatives à trois idées ayant fait l’objet d’une attention particulière des acteurs des politiques publiques du logement depuis 2015.

International audience; In the last forty years Sahel has been depicted as a region in permanent 'crisis', environmental in the following of the 1970-80's droughts and security-driven with reference to the widespread insurgencies of the last decade. Within these frameworks, the notion of 'crisis' has been mobilized in a poorly analytical but highly performative way. Along with all-encompassing explanations like 'farmer-herder' conflict for scarce resources as well as religious radicalization driven by international jihadism, it has been used to justify a revival of problematic approaches and solutions. These dominant narratives depoliticise Sahelian societies and the historical and contemporary effects of development intervention on the society-environment relations. Building on a systemic approach (Morin), this communication proposes to consider the current situation in the light of a 'crisis' of development, here intended as a specific form of public action 'under aid-regime' characterised by high levels of extraversion and complexity. 'Crisis' takes here the meaning of a turning-point where political and social critiques leading to multiple forms of active contestation become major trends that affect the whole system and produce significant changes. Drawing from a scientific literature review and an empirical research on vernacular perceptions of 'security crisis' in Burkina Faso (2019-20), the communication shall highlight through several examples how insurgencies embody contestation of agricultural and environmental development and of its effects on peasant and pastoral moral economies (i.e. long-term ill-adaptation of conceptual models and policy, extraversion and local power relationships…). The case of Burkina Faso is illustrative of the scarce visibility in public debates of heterodox analysis and political solutions based on social equality, entitlements and rebalancing of power relationships. In conclusion, different potentially 'regressive' or 'progressive' scenarios of change at the interplay of international, national and local scales will be discussed.

Barney-Smith, Umapada Pal (eds.), Documents Analysis and Recognition – ICDAR 2021 Workshops, Lecture Notes in Computer Science 12916, Springer, 2021, p. 265-281; The Arabic scripts raise numerous issues in text recognition and layout analysis. To overcome these, several datasets and methods have been proposed in recent years. Although the latter are focused on common scripts and layout, many Arabic writings and written traditions remain under-resourced. We therefore propose a new dataset comprising 300 images representative of the handwritten production of the Arabic Maghrebi scripts. This dataset is the achievement of a collaborative work undertaken in the first quarter of 2021, and it offers several levels of annotation and transcription. The article intends to shed light on the specificities of these writing and manuscripts, as well as highlight the challenges of the recognition. The collaborative tools used for the creation of the dataset are assessed and the dataset itself is evaluated with state of the art methods in layout analysis. The word-based text recognition method used and experimented on for these writings achieves CER of 4.8% on average. The pipeline described constitutes an experience feedback for the quick creation of data and the training of effective HTR systems for Arabic scripts and non-Latin scripts in general.

International audience; Les pratiques de citation de données en SHS progressent rapidement, portées par les plans de gestion de données qui deviennent progressivement obligatoires pour toute demande de financement de projet.Tout un écosystème est nécessaire pour mettre en œuvre la publication de données jusqu’à permettre leur réutilisation. Les buts de cette démarche sont multiples : favoriser la reproductibilité de la recherche, mener une nouvelle étude sur des données existantes ou plus simplement attribuer ces données à leur créateur et ainsi avoir accès à des informations fiables comme leur contexte de création.Les infrastructures jouent un rôle fondamental dans le maintien de cet écosystème sur le long terme. Si les entrepôts en sont les pièces maîtresses, d’autres aspects sont à prendre en considération comme l’accompagnement à leur utilisation, la mesure de la qualité des données et des métadonnées déposées ainsi que bien d’autres éléments comme ceux liés à une utilisation cohérente des différents standards.Pour assurer une “citabilité” correcte des données, les entrepôts doivent remplir un certain nombre de critères : l’attribution d’un identifiant pérenne est certainement nécessaire mais plus suffisante. Dans le cadre du projet SSHOC (Social Sciences & Humanities Open Cloud), financé par le programme “Horizon 2020” de la commission Européenne, une étude a été menée sur 85 entrepôts accueillant des données en SHS afin de tester les différents éléments qui permettent de construire une citation “solide”. Les critères retenus s'appuient sur un ensemble de recommandations, destinées à améliorer les pratiques de citation des différents acteurs de la recherche en SHS, qui sont élaborées également dans le cadre du projet SSHOC. Les résultats de cette étude, présentés dans ce poster, permettent d’envisager des pistes intéressantes pour améliorer la qualité générale des publications de données en SHS. Ce type de d’approche d'évaluation, qui contribue à solidifier l’écosystème de publication de données, constitue une base solide sur laquelle s’appuyer pour la création de Data Papers. En effet, pour obtenir une citation robuste, de nombreux prérequis sont nécessaires. Ils couvrent un vaste éventail de sujets comme la qualité des données elles-mêmes (e.g. leur format) ainsi que celle des métadonnées (e.g. la normalisation de leur contenu) associé à leur accessibilité dans le temps liée à la pérennité des infrastructures.Par ailleurs, les constituants de la citation (e.g. identifiants, auteurs etc.) pourront servir à alimenter les informations de base d’un data paper. Ce processus peut être automatisé par l'utilisation de citations dites “actionnables”, l’un des axes de travail du projet SSHOC qui sera également présenté.

International audience; In 1997 and 2004, John Pullen and Trevor Hughes Parry published a set of manuscripts by and relating to Thomas Robert Malthus held at the Kanto Gakuen University in Japan. Their achievement is impressive. However, a few important elements relating to these manuscripts escaped their attention. These elements concern Malthus, but also his very good friend and theoretical opponent David Ricardo. The purpose of this article is to point out these elements inasmuch as they enable 1) the establishment of the correct dating and contextualization of some manuscripts, and 2) the attribution of the true authorship of some other material.

The rapidly increasing participation of renewable energies (REn) into the electric mix, clearly traces the trends for the decarbonization goals in the European Union. Under the priority sale conditions established by governments, the commercialization of REn plays an important role in the consolidation of market prices, which are on a decreasing trend with large fluctuations that reduce the profit in the power sector and therefore, the interest of potential investors. The incorporation of small power capacities, available with a considerable fleet of electric vehicles (EV) disposed to support the bulk power system through an intelligent, and possibly bidirectional recharging system (the vehicle grid integration VGI), could havea positive impact on the electricity market as well as in CO2 emissions. In this context, our purpose is to simulate the impact of a large development of EV on the electricity market andthe economic surplus of the power sector. Through a VGI tool that includes an algorithm of smart charging, we simulate the behavior of a fleet composed by some millions of EV as follows: a decentralized VGI algorithm of smart charging included in each EV estimates the energy consumption in time of the EV fleet. For a specific number of EV, we simulate the aggregated charge on the power grid, and anticipate the total expected load curve for one day. We use the estimated load curve as input in an electricity market model for calculating the producer’s surplus over one year. We show that the increasing EV fleet significantly decreases the fluctuation of the residual electricity demand as well as the electricity price. Consequently, this has a positive impact on the surplus of the sector.

This white paper primarily served as an internal working document for the DARIAH ERIC. Weinspected current service policies and practices across ERIC’s with an emphasis on social sciencesand humanities. We summarised earlier analysis of the DARIAH service portfolio. The ultimatepurpose of the paper was to create a common ground of understanding what DARIAH services areand how to develop governance and management around them. Still, when writing this paper, werealised that others might encounter similar questions in their quest, and so could learn from ourexploration.

National audience; Cette intervention restitue la manière dont la mise en œuvre d’un entrepôt Dataverse mutualisé au sein des laboratoires de Sciences Po - “data.sciencespo.fr” - nous a poussés à investir la question des data papers. Est détaillé le cheminement qui nous a amenés à considérer ce type de production comme un levier efficace pour encourager les dépôts de jeux de données par les chercheurs et chercheuses, et faciliter leur travail pour documenter les données. Nous montrons comment les obstacles auxquels nous faisons face - la faible stabilisation de ce nouveau genre rédactionnel et sa faible visibilité dans les communautés de recherche - nous ont poussés à explorer certaines pistes pour tenter de dépasser ces écueils.Ce compte rendu est polyphonique, puisqu’il croise les expériences des différents acteurs et métiers concernés par cette démarche : un laboratoire de recherche (le Centre de Sociologie des Organisations - CSO), un service transverse (la Direction des Ressources et de l’Information Scientifique - DRIS) et un centre de données (le Centre de Données Socio-Politiques - CDSP) ; une documentaliste en soutien à la recherche, des data librarians, des data managers.

The National Society for the Study of English brings together 2,500 teachers and researchers in English studies in France. In March 2018, its Training Committee published a White Paper on education and training in English studies, based on the results of three surveys conducted between 2013 and 2018. In this paper, the results and recommendations drawn from two of its chapters are provided, i.e.:-The training of language teachers within the scope of the MEEF Master's degree programme in teacher education;-English language teaching for non-specialist students in French higher education.This article aims in particular to provide answers to the following questions: how did the MEEF Master's degree come about? Do the established courses match the training needs? Is the link between practice and research – as the cornerstone of educational quality – firmly established and is it maintained in the government’s latest accreditation initiative? What are the most commonly taught languages in the French higher education system and who teaches them? How are universities keeping up with the growing demand for educational opportunities in the French higher education system?In this paper, we provide an overview of the strengths and weaknesses connected with these two areas as well as specifications designed to support informed decision making., En mars 2018, la Société des Anglicistes de l’Enseignement Supérieur – qui regroupe 2500 enseignants et enseignants chercheurs en études anglophones sur le territoire national – a publié un Livre blanc de la formation, fruit de trois enquêtes et du travail d’analyse et de synthèse menés par sa commission Formations de 2013 à 2018. Il s’agit ici de présenter le bilan et les préconisations dans deux domaines cruciaux correspondant à deux chapitres de l’ouvrage :- la formation des professeurs de langue avec le Master MEEF,- la formation linguistique continuée après le secondaire avec le LANSAD,Cet article vise en particulier à apporter des éléments de réponse relatifs aux questions suivantes : comment le Master MEEF s’est-il implanté ? Les formations établies concordent-elles ? Le lien entre la pratique et la recherche, garant d’une formation de qualité, est-il solidement établi et perdure-t-il dans le nouveau projet d’accréditation ? Quelles langues sont-elles enseignées et par qui ? Comment les universités font-elles face à l’afflux de la demande ?La présentation d’un tel bilan des forces et des faiblesses de chacun de ces deux domaines débouchera sur des préconisations opératoires pouvant éclairer la prise de décision.

The objective of this review paper is to investigate what kind of circular business models currently exist that create, capture and deliver value from olive waste and by-products, in order to get first insights into a yet unexplored research domain. 39 cases of circular business models are studied that convert agricultural waste and by-products into valuable products via a circular economy approach.

International audience; In Yamagata prefecture, eight temples celebrate “darkness weddings” (meikon, 冥婚). Parents of a son or daughter who died unmarried provide him/her with a spouse or husband by offering a mukasari ema (ムカサリ絵馬), a votive image depicting a wedding ceremony or marital bliss scene. For reasons yet to be fully understood, this practice is limited to a remote part of a district of northeastern Japan and became popular by the end of xixth century. It consists in drawing the deceased one in wedding regalia and, often, in the company of a ficticious partner. These images are presented to temples following a funeral as a votive offering and placed in the prayer hall as an expression of mourning. Such ema can be home-made, but the parents can afford it, they commission a mukasari ema artist to do the drawing or painting. In july 2012, I met one of these rare artists. She introduced herself as a onna-kama, a woman with the ability to communicate with the dead souls. Her informations about the manufacturing process of a mukasari ema – very close to necromantic technics – led me to wonder how the livings relate to the deads in Yamagata.This article is the short version (but with original informations) of a longer paper published in the journal Techniques & Culture ⟨hal-03088950⟩.; Dans la région de Yamagata, huit temples organisent des « mariages des ténèbres » (meikon, 冥婚). Une coutume veut que les familles ayant perdu un enfant (fille ou garçon) le marient post-mortem s'il est mort célibataire. Cette coutume dont l’existence n’est attestée, de façon mystérieuse, que dans une minuscule circonscription du nord du Japon date probablement de la fin du xixe siècle. Elle prend la forme d'images votives – dessins ou collages représentant le-la défunt-e en compagnie d'un-e époux-se imaginaire. Appelées mukasari ema (ムカサリ絵馬), ces images sont déposées au temple lors d’une cérémonie de commémoration effectuée dans le bâtiment consacré aux prières pour les morts. Elle permet à la famille d’un-e mort-e de lui « offrir » un-e partenaire dans l’autre monde. Ces images sont réalisées par les proches du mort quand la famille est pauvre, mais si elle en a les moyens il arrive qu'elle fasse appel à une artiste pour dessiner le mukasari ema, suivant un procédé proche de la nécromancie. Ma recherche s’appuie d’une part sur la recension et l’analyse iconographique des mukasari ema du temple Jakushô. D’autre part sur un entretien semi-dirigé de type biographique avec une artiste spécialisée dans ces images : une onna-kama, médium chargée de demander à la personne défunte quel genre de conjoint lui apporterait le bonheur. This Position Paper was prepared by members of the Task Force on Global Food Security of the International Society for Plant Pathology. An objective approach is proposed to the assessment of the potential of genetic modification (GM) to reduce the impact of crop diseases. \ud \ud The addition of GM to the plant breeder’s conventional toolbox facilitates gene-by-gene introduction into breeding programmes of well defined characters, while also allowing access to genes from a greatly extended range of organisms. The current status of GM crops is outlined. GM could make an additional contribution to food security but its potential has been controversial, sometimes because of fixed views that GM is unnatural and risky. These have no factual basis: GM technology, where adopted, is widely regulated and no evidence has been reported of adverse consequences for human health. \ud \ud The potential benefits of GM could be particularly valuable for the developing world but there are numerous constraints. These include cost, inadequate seed supply systems, reluctance to adopt unfamiliar technology, concern about markets, inadequacy of local regulatory systems, mismatch between research and growers’ needs, and limited technical resources. The lower cost of new gene-editing methods should open the practice of GM beyond multinational corporations. As yet there are few examples of utilization of GM-based resistance to plant diseases.\ud \ud Two cases, papaya ringspot virus and banana xanthomonas wilt, are outlined. In the developing world there are many more potential cases whose progress is prevented by the absence of adequate biosafety regulation. \ud \ud It is concluded that there is untapped potential for using GM to introduce disease resistance. An objective approach to mobilizing this potential is recommended, to address the severe impact of plant disease on food security.

The objective of this report is to give recommendations to the policy makers on the types of policy measures that can significantly boost industrial ecology development in the involved agricultural chains. On the input side, special focus is offered to the potential utilisation of manure, straw and wine waste, while on the output side to bioenergy, biofuels and, most importantly to the various bio-polymers explored in other work packages of the project.

International audience; After the success of the 1st edition of Montpellier in 2016, CIHEAM organized the 2nd edition of the Mediterranean initiative for PhD students and young researchers (MedForum2018) at CIHEAM Bari (Italy) from 18 to 20 September 2018. MedForum2018, entitled “Research and Innovation: Tools for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security”, focused on the CIHEAM Strategic Agenda 2025 (CAPMED2025) and its Action Plan developed for the implementation of the United-Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in specific fields across the Mediterranean area. Through research work of PhD students and young researchers, MedForum2018 aimed at: - Fostering entrepreneurship, women and youth employment; - Identifying and sharing potential innovation tools geared towards integrated solutions for sustainable agriculture, food and nutrition security; - Enhancing research and innovation impact at national and regional level; - Proposing alternatives to prevent young researchers’ migrations. MedForum2018 was organized by CIHEAM in partnership with MAECI-Italy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), CMI (Center for Mediterranean Integration of the World Bank), UfM (Union for the Mediterranean), Agreenium (Institut Agronomique, Vétérinaire et Forestier de France) and with the technical collaboration of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

La trajectoire des patients au sein de l’hôpital est, dans de nombreux pays, documentée par différents types d’inscriptions, sur différents types de supports, qui s’apparentent à ce que Matthew Hull (2003) appelle des artefacts graphiques. Inhérents aux soins et à la pratique clinique, ces artefacts graphiques n’ont pas reçu beaucoup d’attention. Susan Reynolds Whyte (2011) le fit remarquer et invita les anthropologues à s’intéresser au support papier. Cet article porte précisément sur ces artefacts graphiques à l’hôpital. À partir de données ethnographiques collectées de 2005 à 2014 dans un hôpital public de l’extrême Nord du Cameroun principalement, je suggère que les artefacts graphiques ne sont pas seulement des instruments d’une organisation bureaucratique, faisant partie d’un processus d’archivage, de transmission de l’information ou medium d’interactions, ils sont partie prenante des interactions (Gupta, 2012), renvoient à des représentations de l’hôpital et de ses usagers (malades et soignants), à des manières spécifiques de « faire » (enact) la maladie (Mol, 2002) et de pratiquer la biomédecine. In many countries, patients' trajectories within the hospital are documented through different types of inscriptions, in various types of formats, which correspond to what Matthew Hull (2003) calls graphic artifacts. Despite being inherent to care and clinical practice, these graphic artifacts have not received much attention. Susan Reynolds Whyte (2011) noted that and invited anthropologists to take an interest in “paper”. This article focuses on these graphic artifacts in the hospital setting. Using ethnographic data mainly collected in a public hospital of the Far North region of Cameroon (2005-2014), I suggest that graphic artifacts are not only instruments of a bureaucratic organization, part of a process of archiving, transmission of information or medium of interactions, but also act in interactions (Gupta, 2012), reveal representations of the hospital and its users (patients and health providers), specific ways of enacting diseases (Mol, 2002) and practicing biomedicine.

International audience; This paper conceptualises “human resource (HR) differentiation” as a set of deliberate and differentiating HR practices across individuals within the organisation to address employees' unique work needs and preferences as well as reward them for their input. Despite the importance of HR differentiation, research has mainly focused on the recipients of such practices, overlooking the consequences of HR differentiation from co‐workers' perspective. This is a significant omission because a growing concern suggests that HR differentiation might be a double‐edged sword, as the presumed positive effects might only be confined to employees benefiting from it. Taking a first step, this paper offers a conceptual model that explains how co‐workers of a focal employee, who is entitled to an advantageous outcome through HR differentiation, are likely to react, either positively by showing contentment or negatively by showing anger, with behavioural consequences towards the focal employee and organisation. In so doing, we rely on deontic justice theory and explore contextual conditions at the individual and team level under which co‐workers react. As a result, our model can inspire future research by adopting a broader and more inclusive approach to HR differentiation, underlining the need for caution when implementing HR differentiation in a team setting.

International audience; This institutional presentation introduces the ACM SIGGRAPH Art Papers programs 2019 and 2020. The 2019 edition marks the 11th version of the program and our main goal is to highlight its principal novelties and projections onto 2020. At this occasion, we will discuss the main scientific and artistic contributions of art papers, but also different ways of accessing, experiencing, and enhancing the published content.

GREDEG Working Paper; Early developments of growth theory are seen widely as the result of a two-step process – the first represented by Harrod's Essay in Dynaamic Theory, and the second by Solow's 1956 model. Harrod is considered to be the first to highlight the pervasive instability in macrodynamics, which Solow showed disappeared with the inclusion of flexible-coefficient production functions. It has been recognized since that this is a misreading (Besomi 1995, 1998, Bruno and Dal-Pont Legrand 2014). Hoover and Halsmayer (2016) examined how this "culture of misunderstanding" guided both Solow's modelling work and his reading of Harrod. Our paper pays attention to the specific issue of the introduction of an (independent) investment function in those early growth models. Using new archival material, we examine this complex issue and show how macroeconomists of that period dealt with problems related to incorporating expectations, an a priori unavoidable step in order to build robust investment functions. Those elements were indeed discussed at length, in the early 1960s, by economists such as Sen, Samuelson and Solow as shown in his correspondence with Hahn. Our paper sheds light on some hidden foundations of growth models and examines the nature of the break Solow’s model introduced in the growth research program as initially defined by Harrod.

International audience; Personal values and skills play an important role in helping leaders guide their employees for better performance and sustainable change. An effective leader is able to integrate his/her personal values and skills with the organizational goals to meet their determined objectives. Therefore, leaders’ values and communication skills are important for leading an organization towards a focused and progressive future. In short, this research aims to conclude that personal values of leaders and the communication of these values are highly important in moving an organization towards sustainability. This study is unique because it involves rich qualitative data to provide a detailed description of how personal values impact organizational sustainability in various companies. The authors interviewed a total of 25 leaders from eight UK based companies that provide different products and resources. The researchers conducted a reflexive qualitative analysis. The values that emerged from this study include honesty, trust, loyalty, optimism, motivation, integrity, personal commitment, autonomy, support and guidance, meaningful work, recognition, responsibility and self-respect along with communication skills. In the end, the authors have also given suggestions for future research on this topic or other relevant topics.

As Grand Vizier from 1782 to 1785, Halil Hamid Pasha established a pious foundation (vakıf) in 1783. Administered by his descendants, the foundation gave impetus to various forms of family genealogy in the last two centuries. Celal Bükey and his son Erol Bükey administered the foundation (tevliyet) from 1973 to 1981 and from 1992 to 2002 respectively. Using their personal documents, the article studies the way father and son handled the various symbolic materials they had inherited from their predecessors in order to transform an ancien régime lineage into a republican dynasty organized through new family memorial references. Underlining the extent to which family archives need to be addressed as a cumulative process of preserving documents as deeds that legally guarantee ownership, the article also reassesses the line usually drawn by scholars between private papers and public archives.

These stylistic features carry with them sensorimotor states that modulate our immersive experience of the spaces described by the text, suggesting ways on inhabiting them that are colored by gender norms. International audience; At the beginning of 2012, a small group of economists working on non-market valuation, led by Pierre-Alexandre Mahieu, decided to meet regularly to share their knowledge on valuation methods. The main objectives of this workshop were to provide a forum for dissemination of high-quality papers presenting recent developments in theoretical and empirical analyses in the field of non-market valuation and to create a network of researchers (including worldwide experts) that would meet every year. ONV quickly became an annual international workshop. Every year, about 30 researchers meet in a different European city. Both theoretical and applied papers dealing with stated preference methods (e.g., contingent valuation, choice experiments) and revealed preference methods (e.g., travel cost method, hedonic pricing method) are presented. Empirical applications mainly deal with environmental and resource economics but applications to other domains (e.g., health, agriculture) are welcome.

International audience; The ASEAN region, with its 10-member states, as it stood at the beginning of the 21st century, presented huge gaps between levels of development of member states. Over the last two decades one observes a relative convergence in countries' levels (even if the gap is still quite important) but an increase in inequalities within countries. Even if this dual movement can be found in many groups of trade partners, and in first instance in the EU, the replication of this dual movement may be surprising in a set of countries with such differences in development levels. The paper will try to investigate whether this dual evolution is likely to persist or recede in the medium term and to what extent a regionalisation process, mainly based on trade liberalisation, is the main factor at work. An assessment of the contribution to this dual dynamic of the various sectors, whether agriculture, raw materials or manufacturing, will be attempted as it may hint at specific trade policies to limit rises in within-country inequalities which run the risk at the end to ruin the benefits of the regionalisation process. Historical specificities of Europe and ASEAN regional integration Regional integration is supposed to foster convergence of living standards on the long run as it creates catching-up opportunities for less developed member states. Better access to an enlarged market, attraction of foreign direct investment, transfer of technologies, improved infrastructure and connectivity are the economic drivers of the process of convergence. These economic factors combine with institutional and socio-political drivers such as political agreements on common policy objectives, adoption of common regulatory framework, procedures and norms regarding production, trade, skills, migration and sometimes, education and social rights.

International audience; Resilience to disasters depends on measures taken before, during and after the occurrence of adverse events. These measures require interactions between people belonging to different organizations (public, private, non-profit) and citizens in normal and stressful situations. The efficiency of resilience measures results from the collective interaction of individuals, groups of individuals, and organizations, as well as the situational characteristics of the decision environment. The aim of the French-German research project INCA is to develop a decision support framework for improving cross-border area resilience to disasters. This project comprises the design and the implementation of a multi-agent system with the objective to study the behavioral and organizational implications of cross-border cooperation for crisis management and disaster resilience. The analyzed measures focus on citizens who require medical support and the integration of volunteers into the crisis management procedure. This paper outlines the potentials of the multi-agent system and provides first implementation insights.
