There is no consensus on the best model of care for individuals with CF to manage the non-pulmonary complications that persist after lung transplant. The CF Foundation virtually convened a group of international experts in CF and lung-transplant care. The committee reviewed literature and shared the post-lung transplant model of care practiced by their programs. The committee then developed a survey that was distributed internationally to both the clinical and individual with CF/family audiences to determine the strengths, weaknesses, and preferences for various models of transplant care. Discussion generated two models to accomplish optimal CF care after transplant. The first model incorporates the CF team into care and proposes delineation of responsibilities for the CF and transplant teams. This model is reliant on outstanding communication between the teams, while leveraging the expertise of the CF team for management of the non-pulmonary manifestations of CF. The transplant team manages all aspects of the transplant, including pulmonary concerns and management of immunosuppression. The second model consolidates care in one center and may be more practical for transplant programs that have expertise managing CF and have access to CF multidisciplinary care team members (e.g., located in the same institution). The best model for each program is influenced by several factors and model selection needs to be decided between the transplant and the CF center and may vary from center to center. Inherent hydrophilicity and poor water resistance prevent using lignocellulosic materials as green plastic al- ternatives to fossil fuel-based plastics. Here, we report a facile metal-ion-modification (MIM) route, swelling with aqueous metal ion solutions, and drying to convert conventional hydrophilic paper and wood pulp into biode- gradable hydrophobic paper and tableware without the addition of hydrophobic sizing chemicals/materials. Metal ions such as Fe3+ and Zr4+ can coordinate with pulp fibers' polar groups (i.e., OH, C-O, and COOH) that induce self-assembly of their surface fibrillated "hairy" cellulose nanofibrils to form a more compact structure with fewer available OH groups for water sorption. This decreases the surface energy of pulp fibers and increases their hydrophobicity and water resistance. Only similar to 3 mg of metal ions is needed to induce the wettability tran- sition in 1 g of kraft pulp, resulting in hydrophobic paper and tableware with water contact angles (WCAs) of 120-140 degrees. The coordinated Fe3+ and Zr4+ are stable, with negligible metal leaching during use, allowing the hydrophobic paper and tableware to be used for food packaging. This MIM technique can be integrated into the existing paper-making process for the scalable production of hydrophobic papers and tableware, providing an alternative route for developing sustainable and biodegradable plastic counterparts. Biodiesel, as a green fuel, acts as a potential candidate to supplement conventional fossil fuels. This research study targets green environment (using biodiesel) and clean environment (reduce wastewater) by producing biodiesel through oleaginous biomasses (Yarrowia lipolytica, Metschnikowia pulcherrima and Lipomyces starkeyi) grown on pulp and paper industrial wastewater. Batch culture studies were explored for the potential feedstock of the oleaginous organism by the synthesis of single cell oil and fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) yield. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to design the optimal experimental matrix and identify the optimal process conditions that enhance the FAME yield. To determine the inherent characteristics of the growth of oleaginous biomasses on the industrial wastewater, a data-driven adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is implemented. Y. lipolytica strain cultured shown high biomass concentration of 32.36 g/l with biomass productivity of 5.39 g/l/d was considered for further scale-up for the transesterification process. Results indicated that the maximum yield of 0.48 (g-biodiesel/g-lipid) was obtained under the 2.5 g of lipid dosage with 0.02 g/ml of catalyst concentration by constant stirring at 70 °C. The optimum conditions to achieve maximum FAME yield of 1.154 g/g was obtained at 2.485 g, 70.87 °C and 0.021 g/ml for lipid dosage, temperature and catalyst concentrations, respectively.

Aim of the present work was to deepen the knowledge on the effects of funori on cellulose fibers with particular attention paid to their consolidation. Compared to canvas, paper samples (untreated or artificially aged) show different fiber packaging and liquid-absorbing properties. Herein, we conducted observations of cellulose fibers by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in order to evaluate the seaweed extraction method employed in this work, as well the consolidation action had on the fibers through multiple additions of the prepared solutions. Surface homogeneity and fiber stiffness observed by us increased over time and the fibers, initially frayed and disordered, were eventually incorporated into the purified funori after several solution additions accompanied also by a progressive occlusion of the pores. The achieved consolidation effect was confirmed by means of mechanical tests. Moreover, the method herein developed was slightly modified in view of the application of the funori solution to a cultural asset of historical and botanical interest, still scarcely studied. Electronic microscopy allowed us to evaluate the consolidation and gluing effect obtained through subsequent funori applications.

The rapid and efficient treatment of complex wastewater remains challenging. Herein, green paper-based materials with high wet strength, good oil-water separation property and high heavy metal ion adsorption capacity were prepared via a facile, cost-effective process. The introduction of amphoteric functional groups not only met the requirements for heavy metal ion adsorption, but also maintained the stable underwater superoleophobic properties of materials a wide pH range. The covalent crosslinking between cellulose fibers induced by polyethyleneimine and citric acid significantly improved the wet strength (up to 26.0 Nm/g) and the porosity. Objective : Most systematic reviews of interventions focus on potential benefits. Common methods and assumptions that are appropriate for assessing benefits can be inappropriate for harms. This paper provides a primer on researching harms, particularly in systematic reviews. Study Design and Setting : Commentary describing challenges with assessing harm. Results : Investigators should be familiar with various terminologies used to describe, classify, and group harms. Published reports of clinical trials include limited information about harms, so systematic reviewers should not depend on these studies and journal articles to reach conclusions about harms. Visualizations might improve communication of multiple dimensions of harms such as severity, relatedness, and timing. Conclusion : The terminology, classification, detection, collection, and reporting of harms create unique challenges that take time, expertise, and resources to navigate in both primary studies and evidence syntheses. Systematic reviewers might reach incorrect conclusions if they focus on evidence about harms found in published reports of randomized trials of a particular health problem. Systematic reviews could be improved through better identification and reporting of harms in primary studies and through better training and uptake of appropriate methods for synthesizing evidence about harms.

Edible oils form an integral component in the human diet as well as in the industrial preparations. Any adulteration in oil is concerning from nutritional as well as economical perspective. Although analytical techniques exist for detection of adulterants in oil, most of them require sophisticated instruments, and trained professionals. Microfluidic based lab-on-a-chip technologies have rapidly progressed over the recent years and offer promising alternatives in this regard. In this work, we report development of a paper-based microfluidic lab-on-a-chip for detection of palm oil contamination in sunflower oil. We use the paper-based microfluidic colorimetric detection approach that indicates the presence of adulteration in a visual manner. The data is analyzed using digitally acquired images along with ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometry. The paper-based microfluidic device is fabricated and tested for 10–50% (v/v) palm oil adulteration in sunflower oil. Further, we employ the device for free fatty acid content tests in oil samples. Visual signal acquired from the device is optimized by varying phenolphthalein proportions. The stability of visual colorimetric signal is examined over time and is found to remain steady over the trial period of six days considered in this work. The integration of the detection device with smartphone imaging can prove to be useful for onsite data collection. We believe the approach presented here can be extended to food quality monitoring portable platforms.

This work investigates the influence of blending waste paper and cement at fixed proportion with varying proportions of chicken feather fiber (CFF) and wood saw dust (WSD) as reinforcements. Samples produced were tested for flexural properties and water absorption potentials. The outcome showed that with increasing CFF content and reducing WSD content, water absorption reduced while flexural strength, modulus of ruptures (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE) increases. MOR and MOE were at peaked when the ratio of CFF to WSD was 3:2 while flexural strength reached it crescendo at 4:1 of CFF to WSD. It was noticed that higher CCF content from 3 to 5 wt% gave better results in most of the investigated properties compared to WSD. Therefore, it was concluded that low quantity of WSD is needed to form a synergy with CFF in order to achieve optimum results. Well dispersed CFF-WSD phase in waste paper-cement based composites was observed to be responsible for the enhancement in the investigated properties.

The waste of paper or the paper dump is a serious problem and its occurrence is widespread in various institutions. Wastepaper can be recycled to produce some important and usable products that are ecological and biodegradable. For example, it is used to extract new paper from the old by chemical decomposition. Other products such as paper plates, paper cups, paper spoons, tiles, toys, crafts, etc. can be formed from the slurry. This project also initiates a mould that makes cups and plates from the wastepaper management circuit. With learning institutions being the main consumers, most paper are usually eliminated after its use. The waste remains undeveloped and unused, although is a valuable resource. Studying the design of a manual, economical and efficient paper recycling machine, it can be surmised that the design uses the integration of the knowledge gained about the recycling technology that exists manually from the paper recycling machines used to form a cheap but effective paper recycling system. The advantages of the machine are not only of recycled paper, but also the advantages of the interaction of the manual drive system, which will also reduce the high cost. As the design is not 100% effective, the transmission, belt and chain transmission correspond to the estimated 90% efficiency using the 90% for the design. The power consumption for the design is 450 W and since an average user can produce 100 W constant, it takes 5 people to drive the machine.

Wastewater containing heavy metal ions is considered as the serious environmental problem in human society. Adsorption as the widely used method plays an important role in wastewater treatment, which is based on the physical interaction between metal ions and sorbents. Drumsticks are reported to have efficient adsorbing property. It has been found that Moringa causes alteration in testosterone levels, preventing testicular damage and hence is capable of protecting against the toxic effect of hazardous material. Based on this phenomenon of adsorption by Moringa species, we are trying to remove heavy metals from aqueous sample. The bio sorption of heavy metals by non-living biomass of plant origin is an innovative and alternative technology for the removal of the pollutants from aqueous solution and offers several advantages such as low-cost bio sorbents, high efficiency, minimization of chemical and/or biological sludge, and regeneration of the bio sorbent. Moringa oleifera (drumsticks) has a number of advantages including low cost, biodegradable sludge production and lower sludge volume, and also it does not affect the pH of the water. Apart from turbidity removal, Moringa oleifera seeds also possess antimicrobial properties. Amount of adsorption is considerably larger when activated charcoal is used. Thus, this work reports preparation of activated charcoal from drumsticks seeds and fibres. These are generally part of kitchen waste; thus, its preparation and utilisation for heavy metal toxicity not only controls water pollution but also help in reduction of kitchen waste. It will serve as an effective, cheap and robust and green tool for toxicity control. The paper reports the removal of heavy metal (Pb, Ni, Cd, As in this study) by application of prepared activated charcoal tablets via MATLAB assisted paper based sensors. These tablets will surely serve as point-of- care devices for removal of heavy metal toxicity.

In recent years there has been increasing interest in the use of recycled paper waste in the production of concrete to reduce environmental pollution. This study aims to investigate the use of raw paper waste to produce lightweight cement mortar and to study the effect of the aluminium sulphate treatment of raw paper waste on the compressive strength, absorption ratio and hardened density of mortar. This study used raw paper waste as a replacement for fine aggregate, with percentages of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 30%. The same percentages were examined for the aluminium-sulphate-treated paper waste. The study aims to achieve a similar workability and fixed flow rate for all mixes; therefore, the water–cement ratios were changed for mixes containing paper waste to balance the water absorbed by the paper waste. The study found that the treatment of paper waste with aluminium sulphate helps to reduce the amount of water absorbed by the paper waste and also reduces the amount of water required to maintain its workability, with a higher paper-waste content requiring a larger water content to achieve a similar workability. It was found that the higher the paper-waste content, the lower the wet and dry densities. The compressive strength at both an early and mature age decreased with the increased content of paper waste. Finally, the treatment of paper waste with aluminium sulphate increases the early age compressive strength for similar replacement percentages of up to 19%.

Cyanide ( CN - ) is a deleterious chemical and can cause serious health effects upon exposure even at low concentrations. Different sensors have been developed to monitor cyanide in water, which, however, suffers from complex mechanisms and high-cost. Curcuma longa or turmeric is a commercially available natural dye (usually in powder form) used as medicine. The phenolic substance curcumin is responsible for its yellow color and is capable of sensing environmentally significant analytes such as CN - . In this study, a colorimetric sensor for cyanide in aqueous solution was fabricated by the immobilization of crude curcumin on ordinary filter paper. The curcumin was extracted from locally available turmeric powder using a simple extraction method. Its successful integration in the filter paper was validated by FT-IR spectroscopy. UV–Vis analysis showed that the curcumin-based paper sensor was sensitive to CN - (down to 5.0 ppm), producing a visual change from yellow to dark red. The fabricated sensor also demonstrated high selectivity towards CN - in the presence of N a + , K + , and F - . Its response time was found to be inversely proportional to the concentration of the CN - in the solution. Assessment of reusability revealed that the sensor was reusable for up 8 cycles before significant changes in colorimetric response were observed. Importantly, the fabricated sensor exhibited applicability for actual cyanide monitoring in real water samples.

Human trafficking is a pandemic human rights violation with an emerging paradigm shift that reframes an issue traditionally seen through a criminal justice lens to that of a public health crisis, particularly for children. Children and adolescents who are trafficked or are at risk for trafficking should receive evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care from trained health care providers (HCPs). The purpose of this article was to engage and equip pediatric HCPs to respond effectively to human trafficking in the clinical setting, improving health outcomes for affected and at-risk children. Pediatric HCPs are ideally positioned to intervene and advocate for children with health disparities and vulnerability to trafficking in a broad spectrum of care settings and to optimize equitable health outcomes.

This study focuses on the mineral carbonation to capture CO2 using an alkaline industrial waste, the grits, formed during the kraft pulp production process. An indirect mineral carbonation route was adopted, composed by two steps: first the extraction of calcium from the grits and second the precipitation of calcium carbonate. Firstly, four solvents were analyzed (HNO3, CH3COOH, NaOH and NH4Cl). Only HNO3 and CH3COOH have shown significant extraction efficiencies of 79.4 and 73.2 %, respectively, after 2 h at 30 °C. Kinetic tests demonstrated that equilibrium conditions are reached after 60 min. Since the nitric acid is a corrosive acid and with high associated costs, the acetic acid was selected for the dissolution of grits and extraction of calcium. The optimal conditions determined were an acetic acid concentration of 2 M, solid/liquid ratio of 30 g/L and temperature of 45 °C with an efficiency approximately of 77 %. In the second step, carbonation experiments were performed contacting the Ca-rich liquor, obtained from the extraction step, with a flux of pure CO2 gaseous in a stainless inox reactor. The optimal conditions determined were 30 °C and 30 bar, reaching a carbonation efficiency of 74 %, corresponding a CO2 sequestration capacity of 460 kg CO2/ton of grits.

In Taiwan, the incidence and prevalence of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) have risen significantly in recent years. Moreover, data from the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) show that more than 85% of PsA patients are treated with just non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and/or conventional synthetic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (csDMARDs). Taiwanese clinicians have also expressed concerns regarding uncertainties in the diagnosis of PsA and the delayed, interrupted, and/or tapered use of biologics, as well as differences in therapeutic preferences between and within dermatologists and rheumatologists. To address these issues, the Taiwan Rheumatology Association and the Taiwanese Association for Psoriasis and Skin Immunology jointly convened a committee of 28 clinicians from the fields of rheumatology, dermatology, orthopedics, and rehabilitation, to develop evidence-based consensus recommendations for the practical management of PsA in Taiwan. A total of six overarching principles and 13 recommendations were developed and approved, as well as a treatment algorithm with four separate tracks for axial PsA, peripheral PsA, enthesitis, and dactylitis. Psoriasis (PsO) management was not discussed here, as the Taiwanese Dermatological Association has recently published a comprehensive consensus statement on the management of PsO. Together, these recommendations provide an up-to-date, evidence-based framework for PsA care in Taiwan.

Food safety is always one of the most important issues for human being. With the variety of food, it is required to develop rapid, low-cost and convenient detection techniques for food safety. As a representative, paper-based detection techniques have developed rapidly from simple test papers to various microfluidic paper-based devices. The paper-based analytical devices combining paper platform with a variety of advanced analytical methods have shown great application prospects for rapid testing of food safety. In this review, the surface functionalization and modification of paper are introduced. Then, the construction and development of various detection techniques are discussed, including colorimetric analysis, fluorescent analysis, electrochemical analysis, surface enhanced Raman spectroscopic analysis, and multimethods on paper-based platforms for the application in rapid detection for food safety. Finally, the prospects and future challenges of rapid detection techniques in food safety are also discussed.

Recently, the interest in active packaging utilization has increased with population growth, food demand and new consumer trend like food delivery services. This new system, however, requires the use of additives to extend the food product quality and safety as well as in maintaining the shelf-life. This study was to prepare the antimicrobial paper from I. cylindrica coated anionic nanocellulose crosslinked cationic to create a system with the ability to actively control microbe growth in the packaging materials. The process involved pulping of I. cylindrica using semi-chemical and soda chemical method. The antimicrobial paper was prepared by printing the pulp suspension in 60 g/m2 grammage in mold followed by the spray of anionic nanocellulose and subsequent soaking of the paper in cationic solution. The results showed the I. cylindrica paper coated anionic nanocellulose crosslinked with H+ and Al3+ cations were successfully produced. The paper produced was also observed to have antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative of E. coli and S. typhi as well as Gram-positive of S. aureus and B. subtilis bacteria. Furthermore, the best coating method was found on antimicrobial paper coated anionic nanocellulose crosslinked Al3+ as evidenced by smoother and compact surface structure.

Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is a representative toxicant in air pollution that mostly arises from the exhaust gas released by automobiles. It is related to various respiratory diseases such as pneumonia and sudden infant death syndrome. Additionally, because the toxicity of nitrogen dioxide is high in overpopulated areas (i.e., a capital or metropolis), the development of simple, practical, and facile sensors is highly needed. This work presents a flexible and disposable paper-based NO2 sensor based on a reduced graphene oxide/chitosan (rGO/CS) composite. The synthesized rGO/CS composite can be easily flexed and deformed into various shapes, which are attributed to chitosan molecules that function as a dispersion and reduction agent and support material. In addition, this composite can be attached to paper owing to its adhesive property; hence it can be utilized in versatile applications in a disposable manner. By analyzing the conductive change of the rGO/CS composite when it reacts with NO2, we can detect nitrogen dioxide in a concentration range of 0–100 ppm with a detection limit of 1 ppm. Moreover, we performed NO2 detection in the exhaust gas released by automobiles using the rGO/CS composite for practical application. The results indicated that the rGO/CS composite has the potential to be used in feasible gas sensing as a facile and disposable sensor under various conditions.

Enhancing the interfacial dispersion and suspension stability is crucial for magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2) nanomaterials in the long-term deacidification of paper-based cultural relics. However, because of the low specific surface area and the poor solvent compatibility of as-prepared large-sized Mg(OH)2, it often tends to agglomerate and settle down during the usage and storage, that is harmful for paper protection due to its unevenly deacidification and nonuniformly distribution on paper cellulose. Herein, we propose a feasible preparation of colloidal Mg(OH)2 ultrathin nanoflakes with high dispersion stability via a simple one-step surfactant-assisted strategy. The surfactant acts as both a structure-direct agent to confine the growth of Mg(OH)2 with rich active sites and a surface modifier to enhance its solvent adaptability and dispersion stability, avoiding the common fussy procedure with additional steric stabilizer. Owing to the evenly interaction with free acid species therein and the uniformly distribution on the paper fiber as alkaline reserve, the as-obtained Mg(OH)2 presents the superior paper protection performance characterized by its safer pH of 7.29 for the original aged paper (pH = 5.03) and the excellent long-term anti-acidification effect with competitive pH of 5.47 after accelerated-aging at 105 °C for 5 months. Furthermore, Mg(OH)2 nanoflakes with surfactant-modified structure also endue them as an improved flame retardant for multifunctional paper protection. The protection with Mg(OH)2 has little effect on the paper surface properties and cellulose crystallinity, in line with the principle of least intervention. This work will put forward a feasible way toward colloidal Mg(OH)2 nanoflakes with excellent paper protection performance, shedding light on the development of emerging protection materials for paper-based cultural relics.

Uric acid is the primary end product of human purine metabolism and has been regarded as a key parameter in urine and blood for monitoring physiological conditions. This paper presents a paper-based biosensor for a quantitative determination of uric acid using electrochemical detection. The working electrode of the biosensor is modified with graphene oxide (GO) and 5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol (ATT) by electropolymerizing ATT on the surface of graphene oxide. In this study, cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurements required only 200 μL of analyte solution. The experimental results showed that the oxidation peak current increased as the concentration of uric acid become higher and exhibited a linear relationship in the concentration range of 0.1–10 mM, indicating that this proposed biosensor has high sensitivity. In addition, this biosensor has good selectivity to detect uric acid because ATT has a specific binding with it. In human blood and body fluids, nitrites may be the only factor that can interfere with the detection of uric acid using this proposed biosensor. Nevertheless, uric acid can be discriminated from nitrite in the CV measurement due to different oxidation potentials. Thus, this proposed paper-based biosensor is a promising tool for detecting uric acid in biological samples.

This study reports the synthesis of bacterial cellulose (BC) hydrogel sheets and their utilization as a support for silver‑nickel oxide nanocomposites (Ag/NiO). Writing and presenting results is important for any research work. Publishing is not enough; it should be written clearly and consistently for others to read and cite. We present a review of different techniques, for improving the writing in research papers intended for publishing. These include how to write the title, whether to use active or passive voice, how long sentences should be, how to present the uncertainty, understanding the International System of Units (SI) writing conventions, how to assign authorship, how to effectively use references, how to present the work, and how to publish it in a journal. This paper is a summary of the main and most recent recommendations in the scientific field on how to write a research paper to increase its impact.

Such technologies could help disrupt transmission, sustain economies and preserve health and lives during widespread infection. In contrast, conventional nucleic acid diagnostic procedures require trained personnel, complex laboratories, expensive equipment, and protracted processing times. In this work, lyophilized cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS) and toehold switch riboregulators are employed to develop a promising paper-based nucleic acid diagnostic platform activated simply by the addition of saliva. First, to facilitate distribution and deployment, an economical paper support matrix is identified and a mass-producible test cassette designed with integral saliva sample receptacles. Next, CFPS is optimized in the presence of saliva using murine RNase inhibitor. Finally, original toehold switch riboregulators are engineered to express the bioluminescent reporter NanoLuc in response to SARS-CoV-2 RNA sequences present in saliva samples. The biosensor generates a visible signal in as few as seven minutes following administration of 15 μL saliva enriched with high concentrations of SARS-CoV-2 RNA sequences. The estimated cost of this test is less than 0.50 USD, which could make this platform readily accessible to both the developed and developing world. While additional research is needed to decrease the limit of detection, this work represents important progress toward developing a diagnostic technology that is rapid, low-cost, distributable and deployable at the point-of-care by a layperson.

Starch stain is a common stain on paper artifacts. This stain leads to deformation of the surface of the paper and promotes the growth of microbiological deterioration. This study aims to use nanoparticles with an α-amylase enzyme to improve its quality for removing this type of stain from the surface of paper artifacts. Accelerated heat aging was used on starch stain applied on the new paper samples. The α-amylase enzyme was prepared. Silver and gold nanoparticles were biosynthesized by local fungal isolation. The produced silver and gold nanoparticles were characterized by using different techniques of analysis (UV- Visible spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), and X-Ray diffraction (XRD) analysis). Different concentrations of Ag-NPs and Au-NPs were added to the α-amylase reaction mixture to enhance its activity for removing starch stains. Some analytical techniques were also used for the evaluation of the efficiency of α-amylase and nanoparticles for removing starch stains (Color measurement, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and pH measurement). The results proved that Ag-NPs at 20 microliters increased the activity to about 160%, whereas Au-NPs enhanced the activity to about 140% at a concentration of 5μL. The results showed that α-amylase enzyme incorporated with Ag-NPs exhibited better results more than its use alone. The addition of Ag-NPs to α-amylase enzyme for the removal of starch stain reduced the total color differences, improved the surface morphology.

The following review paper thoroughly enables the readers to emulate the flexural behavior and impact test method for textile reinforced cementitious composites (TRCCs). The flexural parameters of ECCs corresponding to type of fiber material, fiber volume fraction, fiber volume length and strength parameters were discussed. For the textile reinforcement, the parameters like type of weaving pattern, mesh size, roving tex, fiber volume fraction and number of layers were discussed. Based on the tensile strength of textile fiber material, carbon, AR-glass, aramid and basalt fiber mesh were used for strengthening, repair works, plastering and reinforcement for thin elements. And also, the impact test performance on cementitious concrete composites is addressed as well as methods adopted for finding impact performance are discussed from the numerous literatures. This paper provides summary about the flexural and impact performance of textile fibers introduced into the concrete composites in different mesh sizes and fiber volume fractions. Generally, inclusion of textile fibers gives much more performance in tensile, toughness, flexural, energy absorption capacity and ductility in ECC composites. Many of the researchers have tried with different fiber materials for producing ECC and TRC composites separately, but only few of them used both have been discussed. Finally, from the literatures mostly artificial fibers are used for making textile reinforced composites.

Supercapacitors are favored by researchers because of their high power density, especially with the acceleration of people's life rhythm. However, their energy density, especially from the point of view of the whole energy storage device, is far lower than that of commercial batteries. In this work, a kind of customizable full paper-based supercapacitor device with excellent self-healing ability is fabricated by simple and low-cost screen printing, electropolymerization and dip coating methods. The resultant separator-free supercapacitor device exhibits both ultrahigh gravimetric and areal specific energy (power) densities of 39 Wh kg−1 (69 kW kg−1) and 692 μWh cm−2 (236 mW cm−2), achieving excellent supercapacitor performance. Notably, the addition of vitrimers endows the whole device with outstanding self-healing properties, which is helpful for enhancing the adaptability of the device to the environment. In addition, this kind of paper-based device also displays good photothermal and electromagnetic shielding performances. These striking features make paper matrix composites attractive in the fields of supercapacitors, medical photothermal treatment and electromagnetic shielding.
