This study aims to examine the mediating role of psychological capital and its dimensions in the relationship between interpersonal sensitivity and depressive symptoms among undergraduates.Methods: The cross-sectional survey was conducted by using cluster stratified random sampling method across six Chinese universities between November and December 2022. The questionnaire consists of the Interpersonal Sensitivity sub-scale, the Patient Health Questionnaire, the Psychological Capital Questionnaire and the Socio-Demographic Feature Questionnaire.Results: A total of 2580 respondents participated in the survey, with the majority being females (69.73%) and an average age of 19.22± 1.28 years. Descriptive and correlation analyses were performed using SPSS v24.0, while direct and indirect effects were analyzed using PROCESS v3.4 macro. This paper reports on the NTIRE 2024 Quality Assessment of AI-Generated Content Challenge, which will be held in conjunction with the New Trends in Image Restoration and Enhancement Workshop (NTIRE) at CVPR 2024. This challenge is to address a major challenge in the field of image and video processing, namely, Image Quality Assessment (IQA) and Video Quality Assessment (VQA) for AI-Generated Content (AIGC). The challenge is divided into the image track and the video track. The image track uses the AIGIQA-20K, which contains 20,000 AI-Generated Images (AIGIs) generated by 15 popular generative models. The image track has a total of 318 registered participants. A total of 1,646 submissions are received in the development phase, and 221 submissions are received in the test phase. Finally, 16 participating teams submitted their models and fact sheets. The video track uses the T2VQA-DB, which contains 10,000 AI-Generated Videos (AIGVs) generated by 9 popular Text-to-Video (T2V) models. A total of 196 participants have registered in the video track. A total of 991 submissions are received in the development phase, and 185 submissions are received in the test phase. Finally, 12 participating teams submitted their models and fact sheets. Some methods have achieved better results than baseline methods, and the winning methods in both tracks have demonstrated superior prediction performance on AIGC.

The reductions in economic activities and mobility during the COVID-19 pandemic heavily challenged the global energy sector, due to which an energy crisis began to unfold in 2021. Under this social background, the linguistics community pay more and more attention to energy narrative in discourse. Based on Stibbe's definition and Fairclough's three-dimensional model, this study combined quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the ecological discourses of the New York Times reported during the energy crisis. This study found that the selected news discourses contain ecologically destructive elements and use the "Erasure of causality" strategy more frequently. Ecological discourse analysis of news discourse is conducive to deconstructing ecological destructive discourse and helping the public to further distinguish misleading and deceptive energy reports.

Heavy atom effect is beneficial to delayed fluorescence by enlarging spin–orbit coupling (SOC). The introduction of halogen atoms to luminogenic molecules is a widely used approach to realize heavy atom effect, but the positions of halogen atoms may exert quite different impacts on the photophysical properties of the molecules. To confirm this hypothesis, herein, bromine atoms are introduced on a delayed fluorescence luminogen comprised of benzoyl acceptor and phenoxazine and phenylcarbazole donors at different positions. The resultant luminogens show great differences in photoluminescence (PL) efficiencies and delayed fluorescence lifetimes in solid state, which could be attributed to different orbital contribution ratios of bromine atoms to molecular frontier orbitals and thus varied SOC interactions, as revealed by spectroscopy, crystallography, and theoretical calculation. The luminogens with bromine atoms on the phenylcarbazole units hold much better PL properties than those with bromine atoms on other positions, and behave efficiently as emitters in organic light-emitting diodes, furnishing high external quantum efficiencies of up to 28.6% and small efficiency roll-offs. The structure–property relationship gained in this work can provide guidance for the further design of efficient luminescent materials. © 2022 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

High exciton utilization is essential to improve the efficiency of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters can provide ~100% electrogenerated exciton utilization via rapid reverse intersystem crossing process and have gained wide attention as they are low cost compared to noble metal-containing phosphorescent emitters. However, traditional TADF emitters usually suffer from concentration quenching and exciton annihilation, resulting in sophisticated fabrication process and severe efficiency roll-off at high luminance. To solve this problem, TADF emitters are endowed with aggregation-induced emission, giving rise to novel aggregation-induced delayed fluorescence (AIDF) luminogens, which are proved to be promising candidates for both efficient nondoped and doped OLEDs, where they can act as emitter or host. In this chapter, the molecular design, photophysical characteristics, and device performances of newly developed AIDF luminogens are systematically demonstrated, which could be a reference for developing stable and efficient OLEDs for real-world applications.

Aggregation-induced delayed fluorescence (AIDF) materials combining the advantages of aggregation-induced emission and thermally activated delayed fluorescence have attracted considerable attention. However, blue AIDF materials with satisfactory electroluminescence efficiencies are still few. In this work, two blue luminescent molecules (XT-DPDBA and XT-BDPDBA) with evident AIDF characteristics and high photoluminescence quantum yields are developed by using rigid electron acceptor xanthenone and weak electron donor 10-dihydrodibenzo[b,e][1,4]azasiline. Both molecules exhibit prominent mechanochromic luminescence (MCL) behaviors originating from conformational interconversion between quasi-axial and quasi-equatorial conformations. The quasi-equatorial conformation has small singlet–triplet energy splitting and thus delayed fluorescence characteristic. Efficient blue organic light-emitting diodes are fabricated based on both molecules, providing high external quantum efficiencies of up to 27% and small efficiency roll-offs. These blue AIDF molecules with MCL property have good application potentials in various optical and electronic devices.

Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have attracted increasing attention in recent years and have achieved excellent performance in semi-supervised node classification tasks. The success of most GNNs relies on one fundamental assumption, i.e., the original graph structure data is available. However, recent studies have shown that GNNs are vulnerable to the complex underlying structure of the graph, making it necessary to learn comprehensive and robust graph structures for downstream tasks, rather than relying only on the raw graph structure. In light of this, we seek to learn optimal graph structures for downstream tasks and propose a novel framework for semi-supervised classification. Specifically, based on the structural context information of graph and node representations, we encode the complex interactions in semantics and generate semantic graphs to preserve the global structure. Moreover, we develop a novel multi-measure attention layer to optimize the similarity rather than prescribing it a priori, so that the similarity can be adaptively evaluated by integrating measures. These graphs are fused and optimized together with GNN towards semi-supervised classification objective. Extensive experiments and ablation studies on six real-world datasets clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model and the contribution of each component.

Relapsing fever due to Borrelia hermsiiis characterized by recurrent bacteremia episodes. However, infection of B. hermsii, if not treated early, can spread to various organs including the central nervous system (CNS). CNS disease manifestations are commonly referred to as relapsing fever neuroborreliosis (RFNB). In the mouse model of B. hermsiiinfection, we have previously shown that the development of RFNB requires innate immune cells as well as T cells. Here, we found that prior to the onset of RFNB, an increase in the systemic proinflammatory cytokine response followed by sustained levels of IP-10 concurrent with the CNS disease phase. RNA sequencing analysis of the spinal cord tissue during the disease phase revealed an association of the interleukin (IL)-17 signaling pathway in RFNB. To test a possible role for IL-17 inRFNB, we compared B. hermsii infection in wild-type and IL-17A2/2mice. Although the onset of bacteremia and protective anti-B. hermsii antibody responses occurred similarly, the blood-brain barrier permeability, proinflammatory cytokine levels, immune cell infiltration in the spinal cord, and RFNB manifestations were significantly diminished in IL-17A2/2mice compared to wild-type mice. Treatment of B. hermsii-infected wild-type mice with anti-IL-17A antibody ameliorated the severity of spinal cord inflammation, microglial cell activation, and RFNB. These data suggest that the IL-17signaling pathway plays a major role in the pathogenesis of RFNB, and IL-17A blockade may be a therapeutic modality for controlling neuroborreliosis.

Blue luminescent materials are always highly desired for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) but the electroluminescence (EL) performances for most blue emitters still need to be improved in both efficiency and stability. In this work, four bipolar molecules with twisted donor-acceptor structures (PIPD-MP-DPA, PIPD-MP-IMDB, PIPD-MP-DMAC, and PIPD-MP-DPAC) are designed and synthesized. These molecules possess good thermal and electrochemical stabilities, and exhibit strong deep-blue photoluminescence. Their non-doped OLEDs show deep-blue EL emissions at 418–438 nm, and high maximum external quantum efficiencies (ηext,max) of up to 4.4% with a CIEy value of only 0.078. Furthermore, the phosphorescent OLEDs (PhOLEDs) based on PIPD-MP-DPA host achieve excellent ηext,max of 25.9% and 28.0% for green and orange, respectively, with small efficiency roll-offs. In addition, PIPD-MP-DPA is also employed to construct hybrid white OLEDs (WOLEDs), giving high ηext,max of 21.6% for two-color WOLEDs, and 16.3% for four-color WOLEDs. In brief, these bipolar materials reveal outstanding EL performances in deep-blue fluorescent, phosphorescent, and hybrid white OLEDs, indicating huge potential applications in display and lighting techniques. © 2021 Wiley-VCH GmbH
