This study aims to investigate the Competencies of the team of department headat higher education institutions in Vietnam to implement higher education development in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0.The authors conducted a Delphi study with 15 experts in educational management in Vietnam to gather their expert views on the competencies of the team of department headathigher education institutions.A total of 24 components of competencyrelated to 4 fields(professional expertise, scientific research, subject management and leadership, social activities and international cooperation) were stronglyemphasizedby experts.The competence of the team of department headis proposed based on the ideas of a group of experts and the results need to be tested, completedand confirmed by follow-up work. Besides, in this study, we have not determined the level of achievement of each competenceas well as developed assessment tools.The specific competencies of the team of department headcan be considered as a foundation to contribute to the development of higher education in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0.We know that competence does not exist independently; in stead of, they should be considered in the specific context of teaching, university, culture and society. This study is one of the studies related to the competence contextualization of the team of department headat higher education institutions in the Vietnamese context.

Objective: Corporate culture is the perception, behavior, communication style, and qualities that are unique to a firm. One of the core factors that makes a firm successful is its corporate culture. The article aims to determine the corporate culture factors and their influence on internal control in commercial firms in Hanoi. Method: The major method of study used by the author is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Scale adjustments are made via qualitative research. The model is examined, measured, and tested using quantitative research. We use primary data from a survey of commercial enterprises in Vietnam. The research sample is 225 and is analyzed using regression models. Results: Research results have determined that corporate culture factors, including collaborative culture, hierarchical culture, and competitive culture (sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), affect positive internal control in commercial enterprises in Hanoi. Conclusions: The article is based on the empirical data collected from various types of participants, including accountants (for information provision), managers (for decision-making), sales staff (for work), and lecturers (for research) in Vietnam. By drawing the concept from previous research, the study explores corporate culture as an internal control determinant. The study contributed to a theoretical enhancement of the current level of knowledge on the factors that affect internal control and developed a reliable scale for measuring the corporate culture and internal control of commercial firms in Hanoi, Vietnam. Besides, our study emphasizes that the corporate culture in commercial enterprises in Hanoi needs improvement to support internal control. Policymakers are required to make strategic efforts for internal control system reform in firms to increase the likelihood of business performance. The value of the study is that it provides an expansion of the corporate culture factors that influence internal control

The efficacy of potable water and antimicrobial agents, including turmeric extract, black pepper extract, sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate, in reducing Listeria monocytogenes on the leaf mustard (Brassica integrifolia) and iceberg lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) was compared. The uncontaminated samples of two raw leafy vegetables were inoculated with L. monocytogenes at a concentration of 5 log and 7 log colony-forming units (CFU) g–1 for 1 h. At the high L. monocytogenes contamination level, the treatment with black pepper extract 0.6 mg mL–1 for 5 min was found to produce the most considerable decrease in L. monocytogenes counts, resulting in 1.44 log and 1.68 log reduction on leaf mustard and iceberg lettuce, respectively. Similarly, the black pepper extract also showed the highest L. monocytogenes reduction, approximately 0.79 log CFU g–1 on two leafy vegetables at the low contamination level. However, the odour of black pepper extract was left on the vegetables after being washed.

Background: Plasmodium falciparum has acquired resistance to artemisinin in Southeast Asia, with mutations in the P. falciparum Kelch-13 (Pfk13) gene associated with the resistance phenotype. The widespread use of Artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT)s in Southeast Asia has led to the selection and spread of parasites carrying mutations in Pfk13. We characterised the allele diversity of Pfk13 and pfg377, an artemisinin-resistance neutral polymorphic gene, in parasite DNA extracted human blood from in southern Vietnam in 2003, 2012, 2015 and 2018. Method: This study was conducted in Bu Gia Map commune, Binh Phuoc province, Vietnam, from May 2018 to January 2019. Twenty-four samples from 2018 to 2019, 30 from 2003, 24 from 2012 and 32 from 2015 were analysed. Malaria-infected human blood was collected by finger-prick and used for molecular analysis. A nested-PCR targeting the small subunit ribosomal RNA gene was used for Plasmodium species identification, followed by amplification and nucleotide sequencing of Pfk13 and region 3 of pfg377. Archived blood samples collected in the same region in 2012 and 2015 were also analysed as above for comparison. Results: The genetic diversity of Pfk13 and pfg377 was lower in 2018–2019 compared to 2012 and 2015. The number of distinct Pfk13 mutants decreased from three in 2012 and 2015, P553L, V568G and C580Y, to one, C580Y in 2018–2019. In 2018–2019, the frequency of C580Y mutant strains was 71% (17/24 isolates). All samples were wild type in 2003. In 2012 and 2015, there were single-strain infections as well as co-infections with two mutant strains or with mutant and wild strains, whereas there were no co-infections in 2018. pfg377 allele diversity decreased from five alleles in 2012 to two alleles in 2018–2019. Conclusion: The genetic diversity of P. falciparum was reduced at the two genetic loci surveyed in this study, Pfk13 and pfg377. This paper investigates the determinants of capital structure on Vietnamese real estate listed firms. The panel data analysis consists of 36 publicly traded real estate corporations on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange in Vietnam over the period of 2017-2021. Secondary data were collected from financial statements of 36 enterprises. Descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were carried out to test the hypotheses. Regarding the regression analysis, four different static panel data estimation techniques were conducted to estimate the most robust regression model result. The results show that profitability have a negative and significant impact on the three debt measures. In contrast, growth opportunities and asset tangibility is significantly positively correlated to capital structure. In addition, firm size, and non-debt tax shield have different relationship depending on whether it is long-term or short-term debt. In general, the results support the predictions of agency cost, trade-off, and pecking order theories.

The study has also performed some descriptive analysis, Cronbach's Alpha and Independent T-test for evaluating and measuring the Job satisfaction amongst accountants. The research was conducted from October 2013 to March 2014 by using the method applied in the current ichthyology study by GV Nikolski, Pravdin IF, OF Xakun, NA Buskaia and Mai Dinh Yen. Fish samples were collected in the coastal area of Quang Binh province. The study results showed that Gerres filamentosus (Cuvier, 1829) had the length romf 52mm to 230mm, corresponding to the weight from 4g to 185g. The age structure of the fish was simple that consisted of four age groups (0+ - 3+), the annual growth rate was relatively fast, the growth equation following Von Bertalanffy was as: Lt = 234.4 x [1- e-0.35 (t + 0.996)], Wt = 373.4 x [1-e-0.0244 (t + 0.2388)] 3.0676., Nghiên cứu được thực hiện từ tháng 10 năm 2013 đến tháng 3 năm 2014 bằng những phương pháp đang được áp dụng trong các nghiên cứu ngư loại hiện nay của G.V. Les monuments de Hué, au Vietnam, ont été inscrits au patrimoine mondial en 1993. En 2011, l’Unesco demande une extension du classement au « paysage culturel » principalement constitué de maisons-jardin, signature de la noblesse d’ancien régime. Cet objectif qui favorise les actions conduites au nom de l’unité nationale du Nord et du Sud dont Hué a été la première capitale, n’est pas sans amener quelques contradictions politiques quand 40 % des propriétaires actuels de ces maisons sont les descendants des occupants d’avant 1975. La mise en tourisme produit même quelques contresens conduisant à la folklorisation d’une culture subtile dépassée par l’histoire., The cultural landscape of HuéMonuments of Hue, Vietnam, were inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1993. In 2011, Unesco requested an extension of the classification to the “cultural landscapes” mainly consisting of garden homes, considered as emblematic buildings of the nobility of the ancient feudal empire. This is one of the actions undertaken in the name of national unity of North and South Vietnam as Hue was the first Capital of the former entire Vietnam Empire. This also leads to complex political issues as 40 %of the current owners of these garden homes are descendants of occupants before the reunification of 1975. Tourism, linked to Unesco Labels may thus be considered as a misunderstanding of a previous culture which is reduced to architectural folklore without historical background.
