Each light sensor reads an analog value which is interpreted by a micro controller that sends a pulse width modulated signal to control the LED power output. The finished prototype worked satisfactory and according to the set goals of the thesis. Generally, the thesis showed that extensive research is needed before the prototype could be implemented in real life. The prototype also needs to be tested and calibrated in an outdoor environment with day light.

Visual artists create different strategies to integrate their novels into their practice. Introducing traits that are particular to narrative literature into the visual arts implies the accentuation of some features over others, such as narration, fiction, identification, and the act of reading and its protracted engagement, as well as distribution in public space. An artist’s approach comes fundamentally from the visual arts. The creation of an artist novel doesn’t differ from any other artwork. Both processes feed into each other as they evolve within the same body of works. Theory thrives on divisions: the transcendental and the empirical, fiction and reality, the performative and the constative – to name a few. These divisions enable a theoretical architecture that may be variously and endlessly deconstructed, renovated, emended, and expanded. But all of these operations begin with division, and in doing so they leave unthought what ‘it’ is that they are dividing. This event proposed literality as a way of naming this ‘it’, or as a way of unnaming the divisions according to which ‘it’ is divided. To refuse such division is to insist on the identity between reality and language, and between philosophy and literature. Literality refuses the theoretical choice between the limitation of language and the renewal of realism, between metaphorical erasure and referential location. Theory thrives on divisions: the transcendental and the empirical, fiction and reality, the performative and the constative – to name a few. These divisions enable a theoretical architecture that may be variously and endlessly deconstructed, renovated, emended, and expanded. But all of these operations begin with division, and in doing so they leave unthought what ‘it’ is that they are dividing. This event proposed literality as a way of naming this ‘it’, or as a way of unnaming the divisions according to which ‘it’ is divided. To refuse such division is to insist on the identity between reality and language, and between philosophy and literature. Literality refuses the theoretical choice between the limitation of language and the renewal of realism, between metaphorical erasure and referential location. Promoting balanced regional development has been a long-term public policy objective ever since the establishment of the Congested Districts Boards at the turn of the century. However, although Regional Development Organisations were set up in 1969, there has not been a clearly articulated strategy for regional policy. The only clear semblance of a regional policy which can be identified is the existence of measures such as regionally differentiated industrial grants, devised in an attempt to influence the spatial dispersion of mobile investment, and the Compensatory Allowance Scheme (“headage” payments) in the case of agriculture which is targeted towards the so-called disadvantaged areas.
