- Abstract
Background: Asynchronous telepsychiatry (ATP) consultations are a novel form of psychiatric consultation. Studies comparing patient and provider satisfaction for ATP with that for synchronous telepsychiatry (STP) do not exist. Methods: This mixed-methods study is a secondary analysis of patients' and primary care providers' (PCPs) satisfaction from a randomized clinical trial of ATP compared with STP. Patients and their PCPs completed satisfaction surveys, and provided unstructured feedback about their experiences with either ATP or STP. Differences in patient satisfaction were assessed using mixed-effects logistic regression models, and the qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis with an inductive coding framework. Results: Patient satisfaction overall was high with 84% and 97% of respondents at 6 months reported being somewhat or completely satisfied with ATP and STP, respectively. Patients in the STP group were more likely to report being completely satisfied, to recommend the program to a friend, and to report being comfortable with their care compared with ATP (all p < 0.05). However, there was no difference between the patients in ATP and STP in perceived change in clinical outcomes (p = 0.51). The PCP quantitative data were small, and thus only summarized descriptively. Conclusions: Patients expressed their overall satisfaction with both STP and ATP. Patients in ATP reported more concerns about the process, likely because feedback after ATP was slower than that after STP consultations. PCPs had no apparent preference for STP or ATP, and reported implementing the psychiatrists' recommendations for both groups when such recommendations were made, which supports our previous findings. Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov NCT02084979; https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02084979.

- Abstract
The airport has an environmental permit where an investigation condition called U4 exists. The investigation condition primarily aims to evaluate the treatment of stormwater at the airport, with final conditions regarding emissions of e.g. organic compounds and nutrients. Snow and ice deposits form on airplanes and runways during winter, this affects the aerodynamic ability of the airplanes and cause insufficient friction between the airplane tires and the ground. To prevent crashes or planes not taking off, anti-icing agents such as mono propylene glycol and potassium formate are being used. The consequence of using these agents is increased levels of dissolved organic material in the stormwater and in the worst case this can lead to oxygen depletion in the recipient, which in this case is Märstaån. Swedavia has, with the primary purpose of purifying stormwater, built several stormwater facilities in the airport area. These consist of ponds that through biological decomposition depletes the water of the dissolved organic material. According to the trial period investigation, the final conditions for the storm water should be decided and the potential TOC-removal efficiency from the storm water needs to be evaluated. However, it has been hard to establish how well the ponds reduction of TOC work since water continuously fills up the ponds and because water sometimes gets bypassed when there are high flows. Since the reduction of TOC in the ponds is still not determined, the the purpose of this study was to evaluate the TOC-removal efficiency and whether it can be improved. Experimental incubations for degradation of TOC where conducted with water samples from Arlanda, incubated at 3 different temperatures (5°C, 10°C and 23°C) with the categories low/high TOC content and with/without addition of nutrients, according to the Redfield ratio 106:16

- Abstract
Data samlades in ifrån databaserna CINAHL och MEDLINE.

- Abstract
Värderingarna som följt med ifrån hemkulturen är viktiga för deras identitet och att det är värderingarna som varit tongivande under deras bi-kulturella identitetsskapande., Migrating to a country with a very different culture and society from the home country can be a very big challenge. However, trying to find one's identity and role in the new society can be considered important for the individual's well-being. It is important to see how different factors can affect the integration process for migrants in order to understand the difficulties they may face when it comes to identity creation in the new country. Because migration is a global and complex phenomenon and the reasons behind migration are many and varied. Migrants can become vulnerable at different stages of their journey. Some of them endures hardships that can threaten their lives and affect their physical and mental well-being regardless of the reason for leaving their home country. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to investigate how young adult migrant women from the Middle East experience bi-cultural identity creation. With a social psychological approach, this was studied through theories of social identity theory, social influence, conformity, integration theory and bi-cultural identity theory. Five semi-structured interviews with migrant women from the Middle East were conducted. The results show that the migrant women often experience conflicts and difficulties in finding a balance in where they see themselves as belonging, which creates difficult feelings and an identity crisis. Some respondents accept and internalize this conflict. The values that followed from the home culture are important for their identity and that it is the values that set the tone during their bi-cultural identity creation.

- Abstract
Between August 6, 2014 and September 30, 2016, the Rosetta spacecraft orbited the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko with the purpose of observing the comet’s nucleus and the surrounding environment. The Rosetta spacecraft collected different types of data with a number of instruments, for example the Rosetta Plasma Consortium (RPC) instruments, that measured the plasma environment of the comet, and the ROSINA Comet Pressure Sensor (COPS), that measured the neutral gas environment. The aim of this study is to produce Python code to generate overview plots of data collected by the following RPC instruments: the Ion Composition Analyzer (ICA), the Ion and Electron Sensor (IES), the Fluxgate Magnetometer (MAG), the Mutual Impedance Probe (MIP), the Langmuir Probe (LAP), and the ROSINA-COPS instrument. The measurements taken by these instruments, describing the electrical, magnetic and physical properties of the plasma and gas in the cometary coma, have rarely before been visualized with uniform time axes in joint figures. A simultaneous representation of the data enables further analysis of the correlation of the instruments and of how the different plasma parameters interact in the comet’s environment. For all instruments, except ICA, the data was retrieved from ESA’s Planetary Science Archive (PSA). In the case of the ICA instrument, the data files were retrieved from IRF Kiruna’s database. The relevant data was identified and subsequently processed with various methods, such as summing over rows and columns, merging files and scaling parameters, and finally plotted in a common overview plot. The final result was a code that produces overview plots of measurements from the RPC instruments and the ROSINA-COPS instrument. With this code, overview plots of each day of the whole Rosetta mission could be generated. These overview plots are accessible through the Swedish Institute of Space Physics for future scientific use.

- Abstract
The emergence of successive Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variants of concern (VOCs) during 2020 to 2022, each exhibiting increased epidemic growth relative to earlier circulating variants, has created a need to understand the drivers of such growth. However, both pathogen biology and changing host characteristics—such as varying levels of immunity—can combine to influence replication and transmission of SARS-CoV-2 within and between hosts. Disentangling the role of variant and host in individual-level viral shedding of VOCs is essential to inform Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) planning and response and interpret past epidemic trends. Using data from a prospective observational cohort study of healthy adult volunteers undergoing weekly occupational health PCR screening, we developed a Bayesian hierarchical model to reconstruct individual-level viral kinetics and estimate how different factors shaped viral dynamics, measured by PCR cycle threshold (Ct) values over time. Jointly accounting for both interindividual variation in Ct values and complex host characteristics—such as vaccination status, exposure history, and age—we found that age and number of prior exposures had a strong influence on peak viral replication. Older individuals and those who had at least 5 prior antigen exposures to vaccination and/or infection typically had much lower levels of shedding. Moreover, we found evidence of a correlation between the speed of early shedding and duration of incubation period when comparing different VOCs and age groups. Our findings illustrate the value of linking information on participant characteristics, symptom profile and infecting variant with prospective PCR sampling, and the importance of accounting for increasingly complex population exposure landscapes when analysing the viral kinetics of VOCs. Trial Registration: The Legacy study is a prospective observational cohort study of healthy adult volunteers undergoing weekly oc

- Abstract
Greenstone belts are dominated by mafic volcanic rocks with geochemical characteristics that indicate a range of possible geodynamic influences. Many analogies with modern tectonic settings have been suggested. Increasing exploration of the modern oceans and comprehensive sampling of volcanic rocks from the sea floor are now providing unique opportunities to characterize different melt sources and petrogenesis that can be more closely compared to greenstone belts. In this study, we have compiled high-quality geochemical analyses of more than 2,850 unique samples of submarine mafic volcanic rocks (<60 wt % SiO2) from a wide range of settings, including mid-ocean ridges, ridge-hotspot intersections, intraoceanic arc and back-arc spreading centers, and ocean islands. The compiled data show significant geochemical variability spanning the full range of compositions of basalts found in greenstone belts. This diversity is interpreted to be due to variable crustal thickness, dry melting versus wet melting conditions, mantle mixing, and contamination. In particular, different melting conditions have been linked to mantle heterogeneity, complex mantle flow regimes, and short-lived tectonic domains, such as those associated with diffuse spreading, overlapping spreading centers, and triple junctions. These are well documented in the microplate mosaics of the Western Pacific. Systematic differences in mafic volcanic rock compositions in modern oceanic settings are revealed by a combination of principal components analysis and unsupervised hierarchical clustering of the compiled data. Mafic volcanic rocks from most arc-backarc systems have strongly depleted mantle signatures and well-known subduction-related chemistry such as large ion lithophile element (LILE) enrichment in combination with strong negative Nb-Ta anomalies and low heavy rare earth elements (HREEs). This contrasts with mafic volcanic rocks in Archean greenstone belts, which show no, or at least weaker, subduct

This contrasts with mafic volcanic rocks in Archean greenstone belts, which show no, or at least weaker, subduct

- Abstract
The researchers conducted this study to determine the level of acceptability of squash friendflavored with sour cream and onion. The researchers chose to use squash fries, sour cream, and onion flavors as the main ingredients of the product because these are more nutritiouscompared to other snacks that teenagers eat nowadays. The researcher chose a surveyquestionnaire as a method because the information the researchers can gather from therespondents is easy to present. The researchers selected 25 boys and 25 girls who took partin a survey by filling out the questionnaire. According to the findings, using squash as one of the major ingredients to make the productmet expectations. The respondent's evaluation as a predicted variable has no significance forthe results. To make the texture crispy, coat it in cornstarch. To make it taste salty and sour, coat it in sour cream and onion powder. Respondents assessed the acceptability of theproduct in terms of taste and presentation as very satisfactory, and aroma, texture, size, smell, and quality as satisfactory. This study will focus on the acceptability of sour cream and onion-flavored squash fries. Thismay entail determining whether the responders find the appearance, smell, and flavorsatisfactory. This may include the precise flavor, such as how sour, bitter, or salty it is, in orderto change the proportion of ingredients used in the sour cream and onion-flavored squashfries.

- Abstract
Sen är ju frågan hur gödsling respektive bortfö, This work aimed to investigate how much nitrogen, in the form of N-min, different intermediate crops, both fertilized and unfertilized, can deliver via the soil to the main crop, starch potatoes, the following spring. We studied this in a cultivation trial conducted by Lyckeby, in collaboration with SLU Partnership Alnarp, during the autumn of 2023 and spring of 2024. The trial field was located at Åsums Boställe in Kristianstad. On the field, autumn barley was grown in 2022 - 2023, after which the intermediate crops were established on 4 August 2023, after harvesting the autumn barley. Half the number of the intermediate crop plots were nitrogen fertilized with 50 kg N per ha (Axan) and the rest were unfertilized. In 24 of the 84 experimental plots, the above-ground biomass of the intermediate crops was harvested in mid-October 2023. The results of the trial show that the aboveground biomass of the intermediate crops, in mid-October, generally increased due to nitrogen fertilization. When measuring soil N-min in mid-April 2024, we found that there was no difference in soil nitrogen content. This result was independent of whether the intercrops were fertilized, unfertilized or harvested. As the trial was not sufficiently well randomized, no statistical conclusions can be drawn beyond this result. The trend that could be seen, however, was that the N-min in the harvested intermediate crops experimental plots on average did not lose that much nitrogen, only about 7 kg N more per ha, compared to those that were unharvested, which makes it justifiable to use the intermediate crops aboveground biomass as biogas substrate or as forage in late autumn. Another trend was that the catch crops that were fertilized with 50 kg N per ha at the time of establishment in August 2023, we could only find an average of about 4 kg more N-min per ha at the N-min measurement in mid-April 2024, which does not make the nitrogen fertilization of the intermediate crops justifiable. Then there

- Abstract
Background We evaluated long-term trajectories of circulating hepatitis B virus (HBV) RNA and hepatitis B core–related antigen (HBcrAg) in persons with and without hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) loss during tenofovir therapy in the Swiss HIV Cohort Study. Methods We included 29 persons with HIV with HBsAg loss and 29 matched persons with HIV without HBsAg loss. We compared HBV RNA and HBcrAg decline and assessed the cumulative proportions with undetectable HBV RNA and HBcrAg levels during tenofovir therapy using Kaplan-Meier estimates. Results HBsAg loss occurred after a median of 4 years (IQR, 1–8). All participants with HBsAg loss achieved suppressed HBV DNA and undetectable HBV RNA preceding undetectable quantitative HBsAg levels, whereas 79% achieved negative HBcrAg. In comparison, 79% of participants without HBsAg loss achieved undetectable HBV-RNA and 48% negative HBcrAg. After 2 years of tenofovir therapy, an HBV RNA decline ≥1 log10 copies/mL had 100% sensitivity and 36.4% specificity for HBsAg loss, whereas an HBcrAg decline ≥1 log10 U/mL had 91.0% sensitivity and 64.5% specificity. Conclusions HBV RNA suppression preceded undetectable quantitative HBsAg levels and had high sensitivity but low specificity for HBsAg loss during tenofovir therapy in persons with HIV. HBcrAg remained detectable in approximately 20% of persons with HBsAg loss and 50% of persons without HBsAg loss.

- Abstract
OBJECTIVES Improving the understanding of the patterns of quantitative hepatitis B surface antigen (qHBsAg) trajectories associated with HBsAg loss is important in light of novel anti-hepatitis B virus agents being developed. We evaluated long-term qHBsAg trajectories in persons with HIV and HBV during tenofovir-containing antiretroviral therapy in the Swiss HIV Cohort Study. METHODS We included 29 participants with and 29 without HBsAg loss, defined as qHBsAg <0.05 IU/mL. We assessed qHBsAg decline during therapy in both groups and used agglomerative hierarchical clustering to identify different qHBsAg trajectory profiles in persons with HBsAg loss. RESULTS The median follow-up time was 11.9 years (IQR 8.4-14.1), and the median time to HBsAg loss was 48 months (IQR 12-96). Among participants with HBsAg loss, 79% had a qHBsAg decline ≥1 log$_{10}$ IU/mL 2 years after starting tenofovir. The trajectories in qHBsAg levels during tenofovir therapy were heterogeneous, characterized by five distinct profiles. Among participants without HBsAg loss, only 7% had a qHBsAg decline ≥1 log$_{10}$ IU/ml after 2 years. CONCLUSIONS Most persons with HIV who experienced HBsAg loss had an early decline in qHBsAg levels, with diverse trajectories during long-term tenofovir therapy. In persons without HBsAg loss, qHBsAg levels remained remarkably stable over time.

- Abstract
When exploring new areas, robotic systems generally exclusively plan and execute controls over geometry that has been directly measured. When entering space that was previously obstructed from view such as turning corners in hallways or entering new rooms, robots often pause to plan over the newly observed space. To address this we present SceneScene, a real-time 3D diffusion model for synthesizing 3D occupancy information from partial observations that effectively predicts these occluded or out of view geometries for use in future planning and control frameworks. SceneSense uses a running occupancy map and a single RGB-D camera to generate predicted geometry around the platform at runtime, even when the geometry is occluded or out of view. Our architecture ensures that SceneSense never overwrites observed free or occupied space. By preserving the integrity of the observed map, SceneSense mitigates the risk of corrupting the observed space with generative predictions. While SceneSense is shown to operate well using a single RGB-D camera, the framework is flexible enough to extend to additional modalities. SceneSense operates as part of any system that generates a running occupancy map `out of the box', removing conditioning from the framework. Alternatively, for maximum performance in new modalities, the perception backbone can be replaced and the model retrained for inference in new applications. Unlike existing models that necessitate multiple views and offline scene synthesis, or are focused on filling gaps in observed data, our findings demonstrate that SceneSense is an effective approach to estimating unobserved local occupancy information at runtime. Local occupancy predictions from SceneSense are shown to better represent the ground truth occupancy distribution during the test exploration trajectories than the running occupancy map., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures

- Abstract
Models of computational memorability have historically been predicated on “yes/no” recognition memory games, resultantly overlooking and obscuring the variability in how we remember—from unprompted intentional detail oriented retrieval to prompted feeling based familiarity. In this paper, we detail an innovative short-term video memorability experiment which leverages drawings as a measure of recollection to explore the relationship between recognition and recall memorability of a previously-viewed video, finding evidence to suggest a measurable interaction. Our findings highlight the need to refine how we currently quantify of remembrance to more faithfully reflect its true phenomenology, and accordingly adjust our current computational models of memorability so that their downstream application in multimedia retrieval may be of higher utility.

- Abstract
In this paper we develop a non-diffusive neural network (NDNN) algorithm for accurately solving weak solutions to hyperbolic conservation laws. The principle is to construct these weak solutions by computing smooth local solutions in subdomains bounded by discontinuity lines (DLs), the latter defined from the Rankine-Hugoniot jump conditions. The proposed approach allows to efficiently consider an arbitrary number of entropic shock waves, shock wave generation, as well as wave interactions. Some numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the strengths and properties of the algorithms., Comment: 34 pages

- Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic is caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV-2) virus. COVID-19 has been associated with multiorgan dysfunctions, including pulmonary, cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, and psychiatric disorders, some of which can last weeks or months after viral contagion. Individual genome-wide association study (GWAS) studies have revealed specific genetic risk loci for COVID-19 severity. However, the small sample sizes and limited replication of studies prevents a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underlying COVID-19 severity and complications. Here we integrated the summary statistics from European and Chinese GWAS with tissue-specific expression quantitative loci (eQTLs) from GTEx and molecular pathways using Mergeomics to identify the tissue-specific molecular networks and key drivers of COVID-19 severity. We focused on tissues relevant to COVID complications, such as the lung, heart, blood, brain, intestine, and skin. Across the datasets, we discovered replicated pathways involved in viral transcription and activity, protein processing, and cell cycle and cancer, and predicted regulatory genes such as RARRES3, MIF-AS1, CXCL3, RNASE3, LY86, LCP2, SLC11A1, PSMB8, GBP4, ISG15, UQCRC2, and NCKAP1L and those for the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) Class I and II molecules. These pathways have downstream effects related to pulmonary, cardiovascular, autoimmune, skin dysfunctions, and some types of cancer. Identifying the pathways and regulatory genes will guide the discovery of therapeutic and pharmacological treatments for severe COVID-19 and subsequent complications.

- Abstract
- Abstract
This paper describes the 5th edition of the \textit{Predicting Video Memorability Task} as part of MediaEval2022. This year we have reorganised and simplified the task in order to lubricate a greater depth of inquiry. Similar to last year, two datasets are provided in order to facilitate generalisation, however, this year we have replaced the TRECVid2019 Video-to-Text dataset with the VideoMem dataset in order to remedy underlying data quality issues, and to prioritise short-term memorability prediction by elevating the Memento10k dataset as the primary dataset. Additionally, a fully fledged electroencephalography (EEG)-based prediction sub-task is introduced. In this paper, we outline the core facets of the task and its constituent sub-tasks; describing the datasets, evaluation metrics, and requirements for participant submissions.

As part of the MediaEval 2022 Predicting Video Memorability task we explore the relationship between visual memorability, the visual representation that characterises it, and the underlying concept portrayed by that visual representation. We achieve state-of-the-art memorability prediction performance with a model trained and tested exclusively on surrogate dream images, elevating concepts to the status of a cornerstone memorability feature, and finding strong evidence to suggest that the intrinsic memorability of visual content can be distilled to its underlying concept or meaning irrespective of its specific visual representational.

- Abstract
Felsic volcanic rocks are abundant in ancient greenstone belts and important host rocks for volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits. About half of all VMS deposits are hosted by dacite or rhyolite, an association that reflects anomalous heat flow during rifting, partial melting of basaltic crust, and fractional crystallization in high-level magma chambers. For over 30 years, geochemical signatures of these rocks (e.g., F classification of Archean rhyolites) have been widely used to identify possible hosts for VMS deposits in ancient greenstone belts. However, comparisons with modern oceanic settings have been limited, owing to a lack of samples of felsic volcanic rocks from the sea floor. This is changing with increasing exploration of the oceans. In this study, we have compiled high-quality geochemical analyses of more than 2,200 unique samples of submarine felsic volcanic rocks (>60 wt % SiO2) from a wide range of settings, including mid-ocean ridges, ridge-hot-spot intersections, intraoceanic arc and back-arc spreading centers, and ocean islands. The compiled data show significant geochemical diversity spanning the full range of compositions of rhyolites found in ancient greenstone belts. This diversity is interpreted to reflect variations in crustal thickness, the presence or absence of slab-derived fluids (dry melting versus wet melting), and mantle anomalies. Highly variable melting conditions are thought to be related to short-lived microplate domains, such as those caused by diffuse spreading and multiple overlapping spreading centers. Systematic differences in the compositions of felsic volcanic rocks in the modern oceanic settings are revealed by a combination of principal components analysis, unsupervised hierarchical clustering, and supervised random forest classification of the compiled data. Dacites and rhyolites from midocean ridge settings have moderately depleted mantle signatures, whereas rocks from ridge-hot-spot intersections and ocean isl

- Abstract
The growing interest in corporate social responsibility and discussions of its importance inquired the role of corporate governance by numerous researchers. Specifically, the board has been highlighted as a pilar to developing strategies and maintaining the goals of diverse stakeholders. The role of financial performance, or the availability of slack financial resources, is a question rarely posed in its effects on the relation between the previously mentioned variables. The objective of this study is thereby divided into two inquiries; the first part investigates the effects of board characteristics on CSR, whereas the second part explores potential moderation effects of financial performance on the relationship. Method: This study employs a positivistic research philosophy and cross-sectional research design based on a quantitative strategy. Data was collected through Refinitiv Eikon on 433 Nordic public firms for the year 2021. Processing and analysis of data was conducted through a statistical software program, SPSS. Results & conclusions: Our findings suggest positive and statistically significant effects of board size, proportion of female board members and proportion of independent board members on CSR, respectively. Likewise, we find that financial performance has a positive effect on CSR and positively accentuates the effects of board size on CSR. Meaning that, higher financial performances positively influence firms’ level of CSP and accentuate the effects of board size on CSR. However, the effects of the proportion of female board members and proportion of independent board members are respectively weakened by firms’ financial performance. Contribution of the thesis: The findings of this study have practical and theoretical contributions. Theoretical contributions refer to our additions to the current research bank by providing more evidence on the effects of board characteristics on CSR. Practical contributions regard the empirical results gi

- Abstract

- Abstract
To understand the response of freshwater organisms to rising environmental salinity, it is essential to investigate their osmo-ionic regulatory physiology. Our laboratory experiment investigated the transfer of Palaemon argentinus Nobili, 1901 from 2 ‰ (control condition) to concentrated salinity (15, 25 ‰) for short (6 h), medium (48 h) and long-term (> 504 h) acclimation periods. We measured relevant parameters in the shrimp’s haemolymph, the time course of the response of branchial V-H+-ATPase (VHA), Na+, K+-ATPase (NKA), carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity, and muscle water content. Upon prolonged acclimation to 15 ‰ (hyper-regulating condition), shrimp reached a new steady-state of haemolymph osmolality by tightly adjusting ion concentrations to levels higher than the external medium. While NKA and CA activities recovered their pretransfer levels, the downregulation of VHA suggests other functions rather than ion uptake after prolonged acclimation to 15 ‰. The activity of the three transport-related enzymes remained almost unchanged at the highest salinity (isosmotic condition), leading to increasing osmotic pressure and ion concentration after prolonged acclimation to 25 ‰. Although the freshwater shrimp studied here retains a certain degree of tolerance to high salinity, a common trait in palaemonid shrimps, our results highlight that 25 ‰ represents a significant hypertonic challenge for this species.

- Abstract
Epigenetic modifications, like DNA methylation, generate phenotypic diversity in fish and ultimately lead to adaptive evolutionary processes. Euryhaline marine species that migrate between salinity-contrasted habitats have received little attention regarding the role of salinity on whole-genome DNA methylation. Investigation of salinity-induced DNA methylation in fish will help to better understand the potential role of this process in salinity acclimation. Using whole-genome bisulfite sequencing, we compared DNA methylation patterns in European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) juveniles in seawater and after freshwater transfer. We targeted the gill as a crucial organ involved in plastic responses to environmental changes. To investigate the function of DNA methylation in gills, we performed RNAseq and assessed DNA methylome-transcriptome correlations. We showed a negative correlation between gene expression levels and DNA methylation levels in promoters, first introns and first exons. A significant effect of salinity on DNA methylation dynamics with an overall DNA hypomethylation in freshwater-transferred fish compared to seawater controls was demonstrated. This suggests a role of DNA methylation changes in salinity acclimation. Genes involved in key functions as metabolism, ion transport and transepithelial permeability (junctional complexes) were differentially methylated and expressed between salinity conditions. Expression of genes involved in mitochondrial metabolism (tricarboxylic acid cycle) was increased, whereas the expression of DNA methyltransferases 3a was repressed. This study reveals novel links between DNA methylation, mainly in promoters and first exons/introns, and gene expression patterns following salinity change.

- Abstract
In a world of ephemeral moments, our brain diligently sieves through a cascade of experiences, like a skilled gold prospector searching for precious nuggets amidst the river's relentless flow. This study delves into the elusive "moment of memorability"---a fleeting, yet vital instant where experiences are prioritised for consolidation in our memory. By transforming subjects' encoding phase electroencephalography (EEG) signals into the visual domain using scaleograms and leveraging deep learning techniques, we investigate the neural signatures that underpin this moment, with the aim of predicting subject-specific recognition of video. Our findings not only support the involvement of theta band (4-8Hz) oscillations over the right temporal lobe in the encoding of declarative memory, but also support the existence of a distinct moment of memorability, akin to the gold nuggets that define our personal river of experiences.
