Graph analysis is fundamental in real-world applications. Traditional approaches rely on SPARQL-like languages or clicking-and-dragging interfaces to interact with graph data. However, these methods either require users to possess high programming skills or support only a limited range of graph analysis functionalities. To address the limitations, we propose a large language model (LLM)-based framework called ChatGraph. With ChatGraph, users can interact with graphs through natural language, making it easier to use and more flexible than traditional approaches. The core of ChatGraph lies in generating chains of graph analysis APIs based on the understanding of the texts and graphs inputted in the user prompts. To achieve this, ChatGraph consists of three main modules: an API retrieval module that searches for relevant APIs, a graph-aware LLM module that enables the LLM to comprehend graphs, and an API chain-oriented finetuning module that guides the LLM in generating API chains.

Whether the intellectual property protection (IPP) system can improve the financing environment for enterprise innovation is a poorly studied research issue. Taking the Chinese ‘three-in-one trial’ reform of intellectual property rights (IPRs) as a quasi-natural experiment; we investigate the impact of strengthening IPP on trade credit financing of high-tech enterprises. The results show that strengthening IPP can promote their trade credit by about 2%, and the technology market effect, innovation effect and information effect are the underlying mechanisms. Further tests indicate that the promotion effects of IPP are more obvious on hightech enterprises with lower government support, lower proportion of fixed assets and healthier government–business relationship. Different from the previous literature, which focuses on the relationship between IPP and innovation activities or benefits, this article expands the literature by investigating its impact on innovation financing and fills the research gap of the impact of IPP on capital market information searching.

The UNFCC on climate change specifies that all nations must follow the rule of ‘common’ with differentiation regarding their responsibilities for the protection of the global environmental system. Recently, the formulation and stability of the IEA have been increased in the literature by applying the concept of game theory to make the climate agreements successful at the national and the international level. This study provides a novel evolutionary game theoretic model of self-enforcing IEA to overcome the free rider problem. The fundamental difference between our paper and existing literature is that we examine enforcement within a model as IEA has a governing authority while the typical model of enforcement involves a government enforcing a rule that it has imposed. For this purpose, we assign countries into different grades according to their pollution levels, consider a combination of rewards and penalties, use replicator dynamics to derive the conditions for the population steady state, and examine how the proposed regulatory mechanism fares in this steady state. This framework enables us to avoid the free rider and renegotiation problems as well as the rationality assumption. We establish the condition for evolutionary stability. The global environmental problem is managed effectively as a reward-punishment scheme and the monitoring frequency of IEA fulfills this condition. Our results provide an allocation principal with stable conditions under which countries get more benefits by monitoring the IEA and stability of the grand coalition holds.

Refinement of risk stratification may aid the identification of patients who are likely to relapse. Abnormal cysteine and glycine-rich protein 2 (CSRP2) has been implicated in various cancers, but its function remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to explore the role of CSRP2 in predicting adult AML recurrence.Methods: RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of CSRP2 in 193 newly diagnosed adult AML patients and 44 healthy controls. The competitive risk model was used to calculate the cumulative incidence of relapse rate (CIR), Kaplan–Meier to calculate the relapse-free survival rate (RFS), and the Cox regression model to perform multivariate analysis. Viral transfection was used to construct AML cell lines with stable knockdown of CSRP2, CCK8 to detect proliferation and drug resistance, flow cytometry to detect cell cycle and apoptosis, and Western blot to detect key molecules in signaling pathways.Results: CSRP2 transcript levels were higher in 193 adult AML compared with 44 healthy controls. Widespread use of antibiotics has enhanced the evolution of highly resilient pathogens and poses a severe risk to human health via coselection of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and virulence factors (VFs). In this study, we rigorously evaluate the abundance relationship and physical linkage between ARGs and VFs by performing a comprehensive analysis of 9,070 bacterial genomes isolated from multiple species and hosts. The coexistence of ARGs and VFs was observed in bacteria across distinct phyla, pathogenicities, and habitats, especially among human-associated pathogens. The coexistence patterns of gene elements in different habitats and pathogenicity groups were similar, presumably due to frequent gene transfer. A shorter intergenic distance between mobile genetic elements and ARGs/VFs was detected in human/animal-associated bacteria, indicating a higher transfer potential. Increased accumulation of exogenous ARGs/VFs in human pathogens highlights the importance of gene acquisition in the evolution of human commensal bacteria. Overall, the findings provide insights into the genic features of combinations of ARG-VF and expand our understanding of ARG-VF coexistence in bacteria.IMPORTANCE Antibiotic resistance has become a serious global health concern. Despite numerous case studies, a comprehensive analysis of ARG and VF coexistence in bacteria is lacking. In this study, we explore the coexistence profiles of ARGs and VFs in diverse categories of bacteria by using a high-resolution bioinformatics approach. We also provide compelling evidence of unique ARG-VF gene pairs coexisting in specific bacterial genomes and reveal the potential risk associated with the coexistence of ARGs and VFs in organisms in both clinical settings and environments.

Post-head-emergence frost (PHEF) has a detrimental impact on grain yield of wheat, and an enhanced photosynthate supply could alleviate the negative impact. However, modulation of photosynthate availability at different growth stages may exert different effects on the plant physiology and grain yield. The objective of this study was to investigate the roles of the enhanced photosynthate supply by growing the plants at elevated [CO2] (800 ppm) during different growth stages on yield performance of wheat exposed to PHEF. The results showed that the PHEF caused a high grain yield loss in wheat, and an increase in photosynthate supply during the reproductive growth stage mitigated the negative impact, whereas that at vegetative growth stage exacerbated the negative impact of PHEF. The opposite effects exerted by the enhanced photosynthate supply at vegetative stage versus at reproductive stage on yield performance could be associated with its distinguished roles in influencing plant physiology at the two growth stages. The positive effect of the increased photosynthate supply at reproductive stage was due to an improved grain filling and regeneration of effective tillers upon recovery from frost, whereas the negative effects of the enhanced photosynthate supply at vegetative growth stage were primarily due to an accelerated early vegetative growth that increased the sensibility of the plants to PHEF.

Antagonistic crowd behaviors are often observed in cases of serious conflict. Antagonistic emotions, which is the typical psychological state of agents in different roles (i.e. cops, activists, and civilians) in crowd violent scenes, and the way they spread through contagion in a crowd are important causes of crowd antagonistic behaviors. Moreover, games, which refers to the interaction between opposing groups adopting different strategies to obtain higher benefits and less casualties, determine the level of crowd violence. We present an antagonistic crowd simulation model, ACSEE, which is integrated with antagonistic emotional contagion and evolutionary game theories. Our approach models the antagonistic emotions between agents in different roles using two components: mental emotion and external emotion. We combine enhanced susceptible-infectious-susceptible (SIS) and game approaches to evaluate the role of antagonistic emotional contagion in crowd violence. Our evolutionary game theoretic approach incorporates antagonistic emotional contagion through deterrent force, which is modelled by a mixture of emotional forces and physical forces defeating the opponents. Antagonistic emotional contagion and evolutionary game theories influence each other to determine antagonistic crowd behaviors. We evaluate our approach on real-world scenarios consisting of different kinds of agents. We also compare the simulated crowd behaviors with real-world crowd videos and use our approach to predict the trends of crowd movements in violence incidents. We investigate the impact of various factors (number of agents, emotion, strategy, etc.) on the outcome of crowd violence. We present results from user studies suggesting that our model can simulate antagonistic crowd behaviors similar to those seen in real-world scenarios.

With the continued proliferation of smart mobile devices, Quick Response (QR) code has become one of the most-used types of two-dimensional code in the world. Aiming at beautifying the visual-unpleasant appearance of QR codes, existing works have developed a series of techniques. However, these works still leave much to be desired, such as personalization, artistry, and robustness. To address these issues, in this paper, we propose a novel type of aesthetic QR codes, SEE (Stylize aEsthEtic) QR code, and a three-stage approach to automatically produce such robust style-oriented codes. Specifically, in the first stage, we propose a method to generate an optimized baseline aesthetic QR code, which reduces the visual contrast between the noise-like black/white modules and the blended image. In the second stage, to obtain art style QR code, we tailor an appropriate neural style transformation network to endow the baseline aesthetic QR code with artistic elements. In the third stage, we design an error-correction mechanism by balancing two competing terms, visual quality and readability, to ensure the performance robust. By introducing the commonly utilized Fe atoms into two-dimensional (2D) honeycomb boron network, we theoretically designed a new Dirac material of FeB2 monolayer with a Fermi velocity in the same order of graphene. The electron transfer from Fe atoms to B networks not only effectively stabilizes the FeB2 networks, but also leads to the strong interaction between the Fe and B atoms. The Dirac state in FeB2 system primarily arises from the Fe-d orbitals and hybridized orbital from Fe-d and B-p states. The newly predicted FeB2 monolayer has excellent dynamic and thermal stabilities, and is also the global minimum of 2D FeB2 system, implying its experimental feasibility. Our results are beneficial to further uncovering the mechanism of the Dirac cones and providing a feasible strategy for Dirac materials design.

The thesis will be divided into the following parts: the introduction will focus on the objectives of the research, review of literature, and the blueprint of methodology. Chapter One will define some basic concepts and introduce the historical background. Chapter Two will explore the relationship between modern city and the Avant-garde drama in terms of "modern city", thus leading to four relevant parts: new ways to understand space and time, cultural transformation, global spectacle and new media. Chapter Three will turn to the definition of the Avant-garde drama, discussing the relationship between the specific areas of drama (drama practitioners, motives of the drama, stage scenery, spectatorship, and body) and the modern city. Chapter Four will analyze in details the cases in two metropolis: Beijing and Shanghai, particularly comparing their cultural background, production situation, the type and quality of the production and the spectator groups. The variation of the urban culture influences the production choices of the Avant-garde drama; while the Avant-garde drama reflects the cultural transformation of different cities. In addition, this chapter will briefly analyze the drama as a carrier of cultural interaction of cities, and I will conduct a comparative study in this interchange and interaction. The results of the above research will be concluded in the final chapter., The thesis will discourse on the context of contemporary mainland China, and analyze the inner tensions lying in a complex matrix of contending relationships between the modern city and the Avant-garde drama. I will try to explore the characteristics, situation, evolution and future possibilities of the dramas in the context of modern urban society, while probing into the situation and symptoms of modern Chinese cities in relation to the Avant-garde drama.
