The contribution of geographical knowledge today takes on a particular resonance for its ability to grasp the systems relationship and processing factors in the approach to environmental reality is even more critical of the individual topics covered by the various branches of knowledge. This type of research in agriculture means in the case of this feasibility study, correlate one hand the problems related to emissions of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and on the other the constant pursuit of clean energy alternatives. The hypothesis that is formulated in this paper concerns the usability of agronomic tests on Brassica carinata to study its vegetative growth and production potential, highlighting the adaptability of this species in its different varieties in the soil and climate of Calabria. Through the planting of experimental batches, research and trials will agronomically assess appropriate annual varieties which are also economically suitable to be used in rotation with wheat grown in particular in the areas overlooking the Ionian side of Crotone in Calabria. These study trials are intended to document the productive potential of the species, in order to ensure profitability for farmers that will unite to form agricultural enterprises. The actual production of biodiesel will try to evaluate the opportunity of opening a new business management option that might best identify with the new concept of agricultural entrepreneurship.
