For the third volume of HipHopEd: The Compilation on Hip-Hop Education, the authors continue to highlight the voices, stories, and narratives of educators and scholars who approach their practice and research using a framework anchored in hip-hop culture. Much like prior iterations of this compilation, this edited volume includes chapters from senior scholars, emerging scholars, and practicing educators. The goal of the co-editors is to continue to support and share scholarship that is rooted in hip-hop culture that provides new practical and strategic insights for scholars, practitioners, students, community members, and policymakers as it relates to processing a bevy of life’s stressors. This volume highlights the use of hip-hop as resistance and social emotional learning across educational spaces. The chapters in this text are informed by hip-hop theory, practices, and the authors’ lived experiences in order to offer individuals approaches as in the development of social and emotional resources to navigate the world at large. The authors explore how educators and scholars alike can leverage hip-hop to both disrupt education and asocial norms and support students in social and emotional learning. These two distinct sections offer a robust pathway to both advocate for hip-hop culture to exist authentically within schools, and then to use hip-hop culture to address a bevy of social and emotional outcomes.

Dieser Aufsatz zielt – ausgehend von der transformativen Natur des kogenerativen Dialogs – auf die ethische Dimension dieser Praxis, um die erziehungswissenschaftliche Forschung (und die Klassenzimmer und Schulen, mit denen sie sich befasst) weiter zu bringen als dies in gegenwärtigen Konzeptualisierungen von Ethik der Fall ist. Hierzu werden der Belmont-Bericht und entwickelte Begriffen von Evaluationsverfahren der 4. Utilizing a fusion of the Belmont Report with nuanced notions of fourth generation evaluation procedures, we root cogenerative dialogues in a philosophical approach to cosmopolitanism that acknowledges the differences between multiple participants, multiple fields, and varying ways of knowing and being. Firstly, we consider how rooting the character of the truly ethical research act in a cosmopolitan ideal can attain participant beneficence. Secondly, we consider how to avoid the potential pitfalls of authenticity criteria in the practice of cogenerative dialogues by enacting practices that maximize tactical authenticity. Our approach to cogenerative dialogues serves as a method for critique and analysis that challenges our current practice and considers the ethics of cogenerative dialogues in inner city schools in a new light., En este artículo reconocemos la naturaleza transformativa del diálogo cogenerativo y enfocamos la dimensión ética de la práctica para dirigir la investigación educativa, las clases y las escuelas más allá de las nociones actuales de lo que es ético. Utilizando una fusión del reporte Belmont y nociones matizadas de procedimientos evaluativos de cuarta generación, fundamentamos los diálogos cogenerativos en un enfoque filosófico al cosmopolitanismo que reconoce las diferencias entre múltiples participantes, múltiples campos y varios modos de saber y ser. Primero, consideramos como la fundamentación del acto investigativo verdaderamente ético en un ideal cosmpolitano puede ganar la beneficiencia del participante. Dieser Artikel bezieht sich auf die Ergebnisse der "Coteaching"-Arrangements, die GALLO-FOX et al. (2006) und LEHNER (2006) realisiert haben. (2006) and LEHNER (2006) and provides responses to those studies. By employing criticality and providing a new theoretical lens for the analysis of coteaching experiences and cogenerative dialogues, this article serves to uncover existent power dynamics among research participants and explains how these dynamics impact a research study., Este artículo se refiere a los resultados de los arreglos de la coenseñanza implementados por GALLO-FOX et al. (2006) y LEHNER (2006) y propone respuestas a esos estudios. Usando la criticalidad y estableciendo una nueva perspectiva teórica para el análisis de las experiencias de la coenseñanza y de diálogos cogenerativos, este artículo sirve para descubrir dinámicas de poder existentes entre los participantes de las investigaciones y explica como estas dinámicas impactan al estudio.
