- Abstract
Studies of FGD gypsum have shown that its characteristics are similar to those of natural gypsum, and no harmful effects occur when it is used as a cement retarder. When mixed with FGD gypsum, the cement cures normally and is stable, with all mechanical indexes meeting the relevant Chinese national standards. The use of FGD gypsum to replace natural gypsum as a cement retarder had no influence on the quality of different kinds of cement such as Portland cement, ordinary cement and slag cement. Several thousand tons of industrial trial-produced cement have been proved to meet quality standards., Studies of FGD gypsum have shown that its characteristics are similar to those of natural gypsum, and no harmful effects occur when it is used as a cement retarder.
