The first place winning float for Homecoming 1926 was created by the members of Theta Chi fraternity. The float is pulled by two horses and four members of Theta Chi are on the float dressed as cavemen. On the side of the float is printed: "Homecoming 3000 B.C.", Glass negatives, 13 x 18 cm., "Homecoming 1st prize float (Theta Chi)", Photographer unknown. Title supplied by staff., The 1926 Homecoming football contest pitted the Bison against the Nodaks of the University of North Dakota. The University of North Dakota won the contest with a 7-6 victory. The first two football games ever played by the North Dakota Agricultural College were in 1894 and both against the University of North Dakota. North Dakota Agricultural College won both games, with scores of 24 to 6 and 20 to 4. In 1895 each school won a game.
