The conclusion of the thesis is that camera monitoring in the machining processes would contribute to a higher number of investigated deviations in the machine park, a more stable process, and a safer logistics flow worldwide.

The odontoid process (AO) is a bony eminence that is located in the vertebral body of the axis (C2) in its anterior part. Odontoid fractures (OF) are frequently caused by low-power impacts or falls in older adults and higher-power accidents in young people. The most common mechanism of injury is hyperextension of the cervical spine. The diagnosis is based on imaging studies that allow the observer to use the Anderson and D’Alonzo classification in conjunction with the Grauer classification for odontoid fracture types. In addition, this classification allows to evaluate the most appropriate therapeutic method. The objective of this review is to demonstrate which are the most important factors when deciding on a treatment for odontoid fractures and the efficacy of the different therapies currently applied to these conditions. In conclusion, it became evident that, when choosing the treatment, the two fundamental factors are the patient’s age and comorbidities, although surgical treatment has given better results than immobilization, it does not operate because of the patient’s condition., Las apófisis odontoides (AO) es una eminencia ósea que está ubicada en el cuerpo vertebral del axis (C2) en su parte anterior. Las fracturas en la odontoides (FO) se dan frecuentemente por impactos o caídas de baja potencia en adultos mayores y accidentes de mayor potencia en jóvenes. El mecanismo de lesión más común es la hiperextensión de la columna cervical. El diagnostico se basa en realizar estudios de imágenes donde permitan al observador emplear la clasificación de Anderson y D´Alonzo en conjunto con la clasificación de Grauer para los tipos de fracturas de odontoides. Además, esta clasificación permite evaluar el método terapéutico más adecuado. El objetivo de esta revisión es demostrar cuales son los factores más importantes al momento de decidir un tratamiento, y la eficacia de las diferentes terapéuticas aplicadas actualmente a estos cuadros. Como conclusión, se evidenció que, a la hora de elegir el tratamiento, los dos factores fundamentales son la edad y las comorbilidades del paciente y aunque el tratamiento quirúrgico ha dado mejores resultados que la inmovilización, en muchos casos no se opera por el propio estado general del paciente.

Introduction: Depression and anxiety are well-known comorbid conditions in patients with anorexia nervosa (AN). Hypercortisolemia in patients with AN may be pathogenic and contribute to depression and anxiety symptomatology. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate short-term changes in cortisol levels and depression and anxiety symptomatology following intensive re-nutrition in patients with severe AN and hospitalized in a specialized unit. Furthermore, we investigated the potential association between cortisol levels and psychometric parameters. Methods: A total of 36 patients with AN were enrolled in the study. Nine dropped out before follow-up. Patients underwent paraclinical and psychometric examinations at admission and discharge. Measurements included plasma cortisol, cortisol binding globulin (CBG), 24-h urine cortisol, and self-report questionnaires regarding eating disorder, depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms. Patients were hospitalized in the unit for somatic stabilization and intensive re-nutrition. Mean admission length was 41 days. The study was registered at (NCT02502617). Results: Cortisol levels in blood and urine did not change from admission to discharge in patients with severe AN. Symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and eating disorder remained elevated at discharge. There were no associations between changes in cortisol levels and changes in psychometrics. Context Minipuberty, a period of a transient activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis in both sexes, enables evaluation of gonadal function in infants suspected of hypogonadism. However, female minipuberty remains poorly elucidated. Objective We aimed to establish continuous reference ranges for the most commonly used reproductive hormones and to evaluate the dynamics of the HPG axis in females aged 0 to 1 year. Design The COPENHAGEN Minipuberty Study (ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT02784184), a longitudinal, prospective cohort study. Setting Healthy infants from Copenhagen. Patients or Other Participants A total of 98 healthy, term female infants followed with 6 examinations including venipuncture during the first year of life. Intervention(s) None. Main Outcome Measure(s) Serum concentrations of LH, FSH, inhibin B, anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), estrone (E1), estradiol (E2), and SHBG were quantified using highly sensitive methods in 266 serum samples. Results Reference ranges were established for LH, FSH, inhibin B, AMH, E1, E2, and SHBG. Two peaks were observed in normalized mean curves for all hormones. The first peaks were timed around postnatal days 15 to 27 followed by a general nadir for all hormones around days 58 to 92. The second peaks occurred around days 107 to 125 for inhibin B, AMH, E1, E2, and SHBG and days 164 to 165 for LH and FSH. Conclusions We present age-related, continuous reference ranges of the most commonly used reproductive hormones and present novel data revealing a biphasic and prolonged female minipuberty. Purpose. To analyze astigmatism axis changes after tropicamide and phenylephrine combined instillation. Method. One hundred and thirty-one eyes from sixty-six patients enrolled this cross-sectional study. An extensive ocular examination was carried out prior to tropicamide and phenylephrine instillation. Power and axis value from flat, steep, and mean keratometry were calculated using an Auto Kerato-Refractometer (AKR). Later, topography and tomography maps were evaluated with Pentacam HR® (Oculus, Wetzlar, Germany). Subsequently, a single drop of tropicamide 1% and phenylephrine hydrochloride 10% were instilled twice, with a five-minute gap between each instillation. After thirty minutes, the AKR and Pentacam HR® tests were repeated. Results. Incyclotorsion was found in 59 eyes (45.1 %) and mean absolute incyclotorsion change was 3.91 ± 3.62 degrees (0.10 to 14.20). Excyclotorsion was found in 72 eyes (54.9%) and mean excyclotorsion change was 4.99 ± 5.94 degrees (0.20 to 36.20). We observed that 74.6% and 68.1% of eyes experienced incyclotorsion and excyclotorsion within 0 to 5 degrees, respectively. Fewer patients experienced incyclotorsion and excyclotorsion changes within 5 to 10 degrees, precisely 11.8% and 19.4%, respectively. Eyes that experienced over 10 degrees of incyclotorsion and excyclotorsion were 13.6% and 12.5%, respectively. Conclusion. Astigmatism axis could change after combined tropicamide and phenylephrine instillation. Reference axis marking in astigmatism correction surgery should be performed under the same circumstances as the astigmatism axis has been measured.

[EN] The project is located in the Lloma dels Frares, a 100.000 square meter forested hill in Godella, in the western area of the metropolitan valencian region of l'Horta Nord. In this context, the urban project proposed is based on two different actions through one only articulating element. The walkable and cyclable axis does, not only connect the two areas of biggest urban importance in the town, but also protects and limits all the forestal área. This articulating axis disposes different equipments according to the location along itself and will be integrated in the place by mantaining the vegetation and existing ecosystem, using existing heritage buildings as support and creating new ones . With this proposal It is aimed to face, from a multipolar point of view, the future challenges of the of Godella. With the axis, the walkable and cyclable experiences are dignified to solve the issue of suburban disconnection, the stereotypical landscapes in the area recover their value and are enhanced and the problematic of the bedroom-town is faced also by placing equipment areas of colaborative work and innovation in the same proposal., [ES] El proyecto se sitúa en la Lloma dels Frares, loma arbolada de 100.000m2 en el municipio Godella, en el área oeste de la comarca metropolitana de l'Horta Nord. En este contexto, la actuación que se propone consiste en dos acciones principales mediante un mismo elemento articulador, el eje peatonal y ciclista que, no sólo conecta las dos áreas de relevancia urbana mayores en la población, sino que protege y delimita toda la zona boscosa. Este eje vertebrador propuesto dispone de equipamientos según su situación dentro del ámbito de actuación y se integrará en éste manteniendo el arbolado y el ecosistema natural, utilizando ciertos edificios de interés patrimoniales como soporte, así como creando otros nuevos. Con esta propuesta se trata de afrontar, desde un punto de vista multipolar, los retos del futuro de Godella. Dynamic resilience is a novel concept that aims to quantify how individuals are coping while operating in dynamic and complex task environments. A recently developed dynamic resilience measure, derived through autoregressive modeling, offers an avenue toward dynamic resilience classification that may yield valuable information about working personnel for industries such as defense and elite sport. However, this measure classifies dynamic resilience based upon in-task performance rather than self-regulating cognitive structures; thereby, lacking any supported self-regulating cognitive links to the dynamic resilience framework. Vagally mediated heart rate variability (vmHRV) parameters are potential physiological measures that may offer an opportunity to link self-regulating cognitive structures to dynamic resilience given their supported connection to the self-regulation of stress. This study examines if dynamic resilience classifications reveal significant differences in vagal reactivity between higher, moderate and lower dynamic resilience groups, as participants engage in a dynamic, decision-making task. An amended Three Rs paradigm was implemented that examined vagal reactivity across six concurrent vmHRV reactivity segments consisting of lower and higher task load. Overall, the results supported significant differences between higher and moderate dynamic resilience groups' vagal reactivity but rejected significant differences between the lower dynamic resilience group. Additionally, differences in vagal reactivity across vmHRV reactivity segments within an amended Three Rs paradigm were partially supported. Together, these findings offer support toward linking dynamic resilience to temporal self-regulating cognitive structures that play a role in mediating physiological adaptations during task engagement.

Molecular left-right (L-R) asymmetry is established at the node of the mouse embryo as a result of the sensing of a leftward fluid flow by immotile cilia of perinodal crown cells and the consequent degradation of Dand5 mRNA on the left side. We here examined how the fluid flow induces Dand5 mRNA decay. We found that the first 200 nucleotides in the 3′ untranslated region (3′-UTR) of Dand5 mRNA are necessary and sufficient for the left-sided decay and to mediate the response of a 3′-UTR reporter transgene to Ca2+, the cation channel Pkd2, the RNA-binding protein Bicc1 and their regulation by the flow direction. We show that Bicc1 preferentially recognizes GACR and YGAC sequences, which can explain the specific binding to a conserved GACGUGAC motif located in the proximal Dand5 3′-UTR. The Cnot3 component of the Ccr4-Not deadenylase complex interacts with Bicc1 and is also required for Dand5 mRNA decay at the node. Hardware today can be inaccessible to users due to cost or the customer’s desire for flexibility. By using virtualization one can reduce customer costs while increasing flexibility. To do this, companies might need to redesign or migrate their hardware to suit a virtualized environment. However, migration from custom to virtual hardware introduces security risks. This thesis, therefore, explores the possibility to transform a hardware solution into a container solution while retaining sufficient security. The execution was divided into two steps, to gain knowledge on how one can protect the container and implementing the container. Two tools were considered to increase security: SCONE and Lic-Sec. The former one utilizes Intel SGX on the container to mitigate attacks from the host machine, while the latter is a tool that generates a profile for AppArmor that can shield it from other containers. The container was developed with Podman as its container engine since it enforces user namespace and allows the container to use systemd which was a requirement for the container to function. The development of the container was a success, however, due to the structure of the container, neither tool could be used to enhance its security. Nevertheless, the thesis shows that systems can run on a container, although modifications to the hardware running the container or other tools are needed to obtain sufficient security for public use. Future research is needed to deduce if it is possible to replace a single container with a cluster which could increase security.

When installing multiple security cameras the cable management can be a struggle. Historically cameras need one cable for power and one for communication, however, advancements in power over ethernet have reduced the number of cables down to one. Installations can still prove difficult and costly as they have to be done by professionals, especially when setting up a large number of cameras. Once they are in place they cannot be easily moved either. Wireless cameras could solve some of these issues but the fact remains that each and every camera needs a power cable. A wireless infrastructure capable of handling all the cameras also has to be set up which can be costly. This thesis aims to provide a possible solution to these problems by combining the cameras with light rail infrastructure using powerline communication. This was realized by building a proof of concept prototype that enables a camera to be attached to a light rail and have both its power and communication fed to it through the rail itself with no additional cables needed. Many different solutions on how to realize this goal was investigated throughout the report. It was known that sending high-frequency communication on exposed wires in the light rail might lead to issues with EMC, electromagnetic compatibility. This was taken into careful consideration. The final prototype was tested for electromagnetic emissions and efforts to lower them were also made. The results clearly show that it is possible to send both communication and power on a light rail to a camera. The implementation in this thesis did indicate that EMI is indeed a problem, however, it was also demonstrated that there might be ways of solving them., Light Rail Camera - an EMC-assessment Public safety and security is an exponentially growing market and does not only put high demands on the camera quality, but also on its flexibility. With a competitive market, companies must offer solutions over the expectations. This thesis investigates the possibility to attach a camera to a light rail for easy implementation and adaptation for a security system. This was verified with a proof of concept prototype that can transfer power, communication and attach a camera on to the light rail.

För vindkraftverk i mindre skala används i huvudsak två sätt att avlasta vid höga vindhastigheter, stallreglering och girning ur vind. En tredje metod är att pitcha rotorbladet till en mindre attackvinkel. Då minskar belastningen på rotorbladet samtidigt som effektgenerering kan bibehållas. Arbetet redovisar en konstruktion för en fjädrande passiv mekanisk pitch som avgränsats till att enbart dimensionera en vridfjäder och tre lager. Konstruktionen riktas mot horisontalaxlade vindkraftverk med tre rotorblad med en rotordiameter upp till 20m. Ett idealt rotorblad modelleras matematiskt för att ta fram dimensionerande krafter och moment. Utifrån detta kan sedan vridfjäder och lager dimensioneras. Konstruktionen tillsammans med dimensioneringen visar att belastning av rotorbladet kan reduceras samt att krafter som är kopplad till effekten kan hållas mer eller mindre konstant för vindhastigheter 16 till 24 m/s. Resultat av dimensionering visar att både vridfjäder och lager kan relativt enkelt anpassas till olika axeldiametrar. Slutsatserna blir att om dimensionering görs enligt arbetet är det, åtminstone i teorin, möjligt att uppnå det önskade beteendet för pitchen. För vidare arbete och verifiering rekommenderas bland annat att göra reella tester för vridfjädern för att bestämma dess precision på grund av fjäderns små vinkelutslag., For small-scale wind turbines, there are mainly two ways of reducing loads at high wind speeds, stall regulation and yaw the rotor out of wind. A third method is to pitch the rotor blade to a smaller angle of attack. This reduces the load on the rotor blade while maintaining power generation. The following work presents a design for a spring based passive mechanical pitch that is limited to only dimensioning a torsion spring and three bearings. The design is aimed at horizontal axis wind turbines with three rotor blades with a rotor diameter up to 20m. An ideal rotor blade is mathematically modeled to produce the forces and torques needed in order to properly dimension the torsion spring and bearings. The design shows that the load of the rotor blade can be reduced and that forces connected to the power can be kept more or less constant for wind speeds 16 to 24 m / s. The results of sizing show that both the torsion spring and bearings can be adapted to different shaft diameters relatively easy. The conclusions are that if dimensioning is done according to the presented results, it is possible, at least in theory, to achieve the desired behaviour. For further development and verification it is recommended to do real tests for the torsion spring to determine its precision due to small angle displacement in the spring.

[ES] El proyecto consiste en la creación de la nueva estación de tren y recuperación de los edificios preexistentes, dotándolos de los usos complementarios que refuercen tanto el uso de la línea ferroviaria como las visitas a Segorbe. Conocido como la capital de la comarca del Alto Palancia se caracteriza por su enclave estratégico sobre el cerro Sopeña, un valle abrazado por las sierras Calderona y Espadán atravesado por el río Palancia. Un espacio lleno de contrastes que destaca por sus relieves y las visuales que nacen como su consecuencia. Ambas estaciones de Segorbe, Arrabal y Ciudad, pertenecen a la línea ferroviaria C-5, cuyo origen data de 1898 uniendo Valencia-Teruel-Calatayud. Más concretamente el proyecto se implanta en el límite urbano donde se sitúa la estación Segorbe Ciudad, al sureste del municipio, donde en la actualidad conviven dos preexistencias pertenecientes a la línea, guardando únicamente la relación visual entre ellas. En adición el emplazamiento se encuentra claramente desvinculado tanto del resto del municipio, cuyo crecimiento se ha desarrollado de forma desigual e irregular mayoritariamente hacia el suroeste, como de su núcleo histórico, declarado Bien de Interés Cultural, y también de los puntos de partida de las rutas naturales, uno de sus atractivos principales. Así pues, el objetivo del proyecto es la recuperación del eje verde en el que se implanta la estación, así como de los edificios preexistentes que en la actualidad lo habitan y sus conexiones. La antigua estación se reutiliza como un edificio que albergará dos tipologías de viviendas temporales, y el edificio de mampostería dejará de funcionar como almacén y muelle de carga para contener los siguientes usos: oficinas de Renfe, cafetería de la estación y centro de interpretación de la naturaleza. The world of data is changing fast, while data always have been present in the world of computer science the importance of data has in the last couple of years grown, and it does not seem to be slowing down. The data usage is steadily increasing and the amount of data is growing, as well as the ever expanding amount of devices that produce data, especially in fields such at IoT and cloud computing. This has resulted in a need to make sure that ones data storage solution can effectively keep up without being too much of a hassle to maintain and upgrade. Data warehouses have for long been a popular choice for data storage partly due to its rigid structure. But in the world of big data, this structure can make it hard to adapt and add new types of data to the storage. A data lake can be a viable data storage solution if one seeks to achieve storage of many types of data from multiple sources since its open structure enables the user to practically store anything. This open structure however comes at a cost since the user now has to manage the raw data instead of the traditionally processed data of a data warehouse. Managing raw and unprocessed data is challenging as the purpose of the data may not be determined when the data is stored. This often leads to all data stored in a data lake to remain in the data lake without any form of structure nor purpose which quickly leads to the data lake turning into a data swamp. This thesis seeks to create a data lake solution that can store data from multiple sources and from different sensors while also making it very easy to add or remove data sources but also being resilient if the data format changes from its original form. While at the same time try to keep the infamous data swamp away. This involves sending the data from the sensors to a storage solution and then making sure that the data stored can be utilized by the data lakes owner as well as a third party., The amount of data is steadily increasing and with it comes data from new sources and new formats. The ever changing state of data makes storing data challenging as it most storage options only takes data on a format specified when storing it. This thesis suggests a solution to this for a specific use case.

Este artigo tem a pretensão de analisar um dos projetos desenvolvidos pela Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo para requalificação da região central da cidade. As propostas desenvolvidas em finais dos anos 1980 e início dos anos 1990, durante a administração de Luiza Erundina (1989-1992), buscaram trazer abordagens mais localizadas no território, numa tentativa de alavancar as mudanças necessárias para toda a região, trazendo conceitos de patrimônio, memória coletiva e paisagem urbana. Tento demonstrar neste artigo a relevância desse projeto ao expor seu processo de desenvolvimento, através de extenso estudo histórico da área, se aproveitando, também, de estudos elaborados em gestões anteriores. Estes aspectos fazem com que o Eixo Sé-Arouche seja um projeto conectado com as reais necessidades de intervenção que existiam na região central naquele momento. Busco expor o que foi realizado realmente da proposta, além dos impactos desta em ações de futuras gestões municipais., This article intends to analyze one of the projects developed by the Municipality of São Paulo to requalify the central region of the city. The proposals developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, during the administration of Luiza Erundina (1989-1992), sought to bring more localized approaches in the territory, in an attempt to leverage the necessary changes for the whole region, bringing concepts of heritage, collective memory and urban landscape. I try to demonstrate in this article the relevance of this project by exposing its development process, through an extensive historical study of the area, also taking advantage of studies carried out by previous administrations. These aspects make the Sé-Arouche Axis a project connected with the real intervention needs that existed in the central region at that time. För vindkraftverk i mindre skala används i huvudsak två sätt att avlasta vid höga vindhastigheter, stallreglering och girning ur vind. En tredje metod är att pitcha rotorbladet till en mindre attackvinkel. Då minskar belastningen på rotorbladet samtidigt som effektgenerering kan bibehållas. Arbetet redovisar en konstruktion för en fjädrande passiv mekanisk pitch som avgränsats till att enbart dimensionera en vridfjäder och tre lager. Konstruktionen riktas mot horisontalaxlade vindkraftverk med tre rotorblad med en rotordiameter upp till 20m. Ett idealt rotorblad modelleras matematiskt för att ta fram dimensionerande krafter och moment. Utifrån detta kan sedan vridfjäder och lager dimensioneras. Konstruktionen tillsammans med dimensioneringen visar att belastning av rotorbladet kan reduceras samt att krafter som är kopplad till effekten kan hållas mer eller mindre konstant för vindhastigheter 16 till 24 m/s. Resultat av dimensionering visar att både vridfjäder och lager kan relativt enkelt anpassas till olika axeldiametrar. Slutsatserna blir att om dimensionering görs enligt arbetet är det, åtminstone i teorin, möjligt att uppnå det önskade beteendet för pitchen. För vidare arbete och verifiering rekommenderas bland annat att göra reella tester för vridfjädern för att bestämma dess precision på grund av fjäderns små vinkelutslag., For small-scale wind turbines, there are mainly two ways of reducing loads at high wind speeds, stall regulation and yaw the rotor out of wind. A third method is to pitch the rotor blade to a smaller angle of attack. This reduces the load on the rotor blade while maintaining power generation. The following work presents a design for a spring based passive mechanical pitch that is limited to only dimensioning a torsion spring and three bearings. The design is aimed at horizontal axis wind turbines with three rotor blades with a rotor diameter up to 20m. An ideal rotor blade is mathematically modeled to produce the forces and torques needed in order to properly dimension the torsion spring and bearings. The design shows that the load of the rotor blade can be reduced and that forces connected to the power can be kept more or less constant for wind speeds 16 to 24 m / s. The results of sizing show that both the torsion spring and bearings can be adapted to different shaft diameters relatively easy. The conclusions are that if dimensioning is done according to the presented results, it is possible, at least in theory, to achieve the desired behaviour. For further development and verification it is recommended to do real tests for the torsion spring to determine its precision due to small angle displacement in the spring.

Background: Fetal programming of the endocrine system may be affected by exposure to perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAAs), as they easily cross the placental barrier. In vitro studies suggest that PFAAs may disrupt steroidogenesis. "Mini puberty" refers to a transient surge in circulating androgens, androgen precursors, and gonadotropins in infant girls and boys within the first postnatal months. We hypothesize that prenatal PFAA exposure may decrease the concentrations of androgens in mini puberty.Objectives: To investigate associations between maternal serum PFAA concentrations in early pregnancy and serum concentrations of androgens, their precursors, and gonadotropins during mini puberty in infancy.Methods: In the prospective Odense Child Cohort, maternal pregnancy serum concentrations of five PFAAs: Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA), and perfluorodecanoic acid (PFDA) were measured at median gestational week 12 (IQR: 10, 15) in 1628 women. Among these, offspring serum concentrations of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), dehydroepiandrosterone-sulfate (DHEAS), androstenedione, 17-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP), testosterone, luteinizing (LH) and follicle stimulating hormones (FSH) were measured in 373 children (44% girls; 56% boys) at a mean age of 3.9 (+/- 0.9 SD) months. Multivariate linear regression models were performed to estimate associations.Results: A two-fold increase in maternal PFDA concentration was associated with a reduction in DHEA concentration by -19.6% (95% CI: -32.9%, -3.8%) in girls. We report on the emergence of stable self-propelled bound defects in monolayers of active nematics, which form virtual full-integer topological defects in the form of vortices and asters. Through numerical simulations and analytical arguments, we identify the phase space of the bound defect formation in active nematic monolayers. It is shown that an intricate synergy between the nature of active stresses and the flow-aligning behavior of active particles can stabilize the motion of self-propelled positive half-integer defects into specific bound structures. Our findings therefore, uncover conditions for the formation of full integer topological defects in active nematics with the potential for triggering further experiments and theories.

BACKGROUND: We herein outline the experience matured in our equipped Cranio-Vertebral Junction Laboratory for anatomic dissection.METHODS: An extreme lateral approach (ELA) was performed on 4 fresh cadavers and submandibular approach was performed on 5. An endoscope and navigation-assisted far lateral approach (FLA) was performed in 5 injected specimens. In these specimens, a transoral approach was also performed, as well as a neuronavigation-assisted comparison between transoral and transnasal explorable distances.RESULTS: As calculated with neuronavigation, statistically significant differences both in the explored craniocaudal (P = 0.003) and lateral (P = 0.008) distances were observed between the transoral approach and endoscopic endonasal approach. In FLA, neuronavigation facilitated identification and partial removal of the occipital condyle; in one case, during endoscopic intradural exploration, tearing of the emerging roots of the 11th cranial nerve occurred. In ELA, the site where the accessory nerve pierces into the sternocleidomastoid muscle was found at a distance from the tip of the mastoid between 3 and 4 cm.CONCLUSIONS: During dissections, as in the clinical setting, endoscope and image guidance give the surgeon a constant orientation, increasing the accuracy and the safety of the approach. Nonetheless, the encumbrance of the endoscope could represent a limit in deep and narrow corridors as those running across the craniovertebral junction, especially in "oblique" FLA and ELA, in which the surgical target is often hidden by a delicate tangle of nerves and vessels. Its use appears more suitable and safer in "straight" approaches as transoral and transnasal in which there are no neurovascular structures interposed.

This graduation thesis aims to reactivate an old axis connecting two different parts of the city of Mostar. The choice of this particular corridor has been adopted not just because of its strategic location - it crosses the city from East to West, two sides that have been rebuilt after the Bosnian war without a coherent urban strategy - but also because every street, square, park and building along it belong to a common heritage, which after the Bosnian war is lost. Therefore, this axis ( I will name it Axis Rondo-Old HIT Square-Musala Square, due to the main squares that it crosses) is ideal for a design strategy, which will have a dual nature: renewing three degraded areas facing the axis and, at the same time, introducing into those spaces one of the most important, natural and partially forgotten heritage: the Neretva River. This work finds curious the relationships of figures bound by and revolving around a central axis. As this series of figures are elaborated by mathematical operations, the complex nature of their combination removes apparent identity and synthesizes a simultaneous presence which is difficult to name. The drawings serve as a form of notation, similar to sheet music. As notation they aim to find their voice in the physical world. The drawings search for relationships which are then made tangible so they can be studied in light and act as a model to continue working.

This master thesis project was carried out at the Division of Innovation Engineering at Lund University and at Axis Communications AB in Lund. The thesis has investigated the possibility of using PV cells as a direct power source for small scale applications to meet the problems of heat management in electrical equipment. The investigation has been performed on a global level as well as on a local level as a case study. The case study was performed at Axis Communications AB where a prototype was to be designed as a proof of concept of a PV system directly powering a cooling system to prevent cameras from overheating. The prototype was to be designed as a solar protection cap with an integrated PV system. The PV system was to power two fans. The fans were integrated in the solar cap design with the aim to lower the temperature of the camera of interest, namely a fixed dome P32 camera. The project aimed to find how the integrated PV system could be designed and with the case study to demonstrate how the PV system could power an active cooling system. The PV system was designed to optimize the power production at critical temperatures and irradiation. Dubai was the location in focus for the case study, where heat management of cameras is a problem. The results consisted of a comparison between the cooling effects from the prototype and an existing solar cap solution without integrated active cooling. The results showed that the temperature of the camera with the prototype was lower than that of the camera with the existing solution under direct illumination. The project results can be used as an example of how an accessory product with an integrated PV cell system can power a desired application, in this case two fans that successfully lowers the camera temperature.

Growth refers to a positive change in size of body over a period of time as a result of cellular proliferation and extracellular matrix secretion. Change of analyzed growth parameters over a period of time represents the characteristic growth pattern. The exact assessment of physical development of organs of human body and growth pattern of each individual is important for determination of extreme values under their standard norms or their deviation, and for diagnostic and therapeutically purposes. Changes in craniofacial system from birth to maturity are very characteristic. A lot of previous studies had shown the existence of correlation between growth and development of craniofacial and cervical structures. It has been shown that posture of cervical vertebra is influenced by several factors including: ethnicity, sex, age, constitution of the body, craniofacial morphology and orthodontic therapy. Based on previous research in our population there are no available data of growth and development parameters of craniofacial and cervical system, especially related to different age, sex and skeletal classes of patients. Additionally, influence of craniofacial parameters on growth and development of component of cervical system has not been thoroughly investigated. AIMS. This study aimed to determine the standard norms of parameters of craniofacial and cervical system in patients of our population with different age, sex and skeletal classes. The additional aims were to determine the correlation between craniofacial and cervical parameters and skeletal maturity of patients in our population based on morphological characteristics of cervical vertebra. MATERIAL AND METHODS. This retrospective study consisted of 540 patients of Clinic of orthodo, Ontogenetsko razviće obuhvata jedinstven niz kvalitativnih i kvantitativnih promena organizma, te predstavlja proces sveukupnog somatskog (anatomsko–morfološkog), funkci-onalnog i reproduktivnog formiranja svake individue od njenog začeća do pune polne zrelosti. Rast je porast mase i veličine organizma koji nastaje kao posledica povećanja broja ćelija proliferacijom, rastom ćelija i sekrecijom ekstracelularnog matriksa. Promena vrednosti analiziranih parametara rasta u odreĎenim vremenskim intervalima predstavlja karakterističan obrazac rasta. Tačna procena fiziološkog razvoja pojedinih organskih sistema i obrazac rasta svake individue vaţni su radi odreĎivanja ekstremnih vrednosti unutar fizioloških varijacija ili njihovog odstupanja, te postavljanja pravilne dijagnoze i sprovoĎenja adekvatne terapije. Therapeutic targets have been defined for axial and peripheral spondyloarthritis (SpA) in 2012, but the evidence for these recommendations was only of indirect nature. These recommendations were re-evaluated in light of new insights. Based on the results of a systematic literature review and expert opinion, a task force of rheumatologists, dermatologists, patients and a health professional developed an update of the 2012 recommendations. These underwent intensive discussions, on site voting and subsequent anonymous electronic voting on levels of agreement with each item. A set of 5 overarching principles and 11 recommendations were developed and voted on. Some items were present in the previous recommendations, while others were significantly changed or newly formulated. The 2017 task force arrived at a single set of recommendations for axial and peripheral SpA, including psoriatic arthritis (PsA). The most exhaustive discussions related to whether PsA should be assessed using unidimensional composite scores for its different domains or multidimensional scores that comprise multiple domains. This question was not resolved and constitutes an important research agenda. There was broad agreement, now better supported by data than in 2012, that remission/inactive disease and, alternatively, low/minimal disease activity are the principal targets for the treatment of PsA. As instruments to assess the patients on the path to the target, the Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score (ASDAS) for axial SpA and the Disease Activity index for PSoriatic Arthritis (DAPSA) and Minimal Disease Activity (MDA) for PsA were recommended, although not supported by all. Shared decision-making between the clinician and the patient was seen as pivotal to the process. The task force defined the treatment target for SpA as remission or low disease activity and developed a large research agenda to further advance the field.

Therefore, the final tests could not be performed. Nevertheless, the programation of the machine was completed and the programs were checked by simulation. The programation of the CPU allows the execution of polygons, circumferences, tangentials and skew curves, covering most of the objects present in the industry.

Examensarbetets uppsats beskriver en produktutvecklingsprocess, syftet är att utveckla ett produktkoncept för en övervakningskamera i en hissmiljö. Studien är genomförd på uppdrag av Axis Communications AB, ett marknadsledare företag inom nätverksvideo. Uppsatsen inkluderar en omfattande bakgrundsstudie, i vilken syftet är att skapa förståelse för relevanta delar av hissbranschen för att få kunskap om hur kameraövervakning kan implementeras. För att uppnå bästa möjliga förståelse för hissmiljön, valdes utförandet av användarundersökning som primär metod för insamling av data. Bakgrundsstudien påvisade komplexiteten hissbranschen, samt att många aspekter måste vägas in under utvecklingen av en lösning anpassad för den miljön. Kunskap erhållen från bakgrundsstudien tillämpades för att generera lösningar vilka ledde fram till ett slutgiltigt koncept. Konceptutvecklingsprocessen resulterade i ett kamerahus för sensorenheten AXIS FA1105, utformat som en kupol. Kamerahuset är litet och diskret, vilket medför många fördelar i en hissmiljö. I det slutgiltiga konceptet arrangerades sensorenheten i en silikonboll, bollen i sig placerades emellan två ringar med en sfärisk insida där den är fri att rotera för att uppnå det optimala synfältet. En yttre täckring och kupol placeras sedan över silikonbollen för att skydda kameran och låsa bollen, därmed fixeras kamera vinkeln. The study is conducted on behalf of Axis Communications AB, a market leading company in network camera solutions. The thesis includes a comprehensive background study that seeks to understand relevant parts of the elevator business to gain knowledge on how a surveillance camera could be implemented. To achieve the best understanding of the environment, user research was performed as the primarily research method. The background study revealed that the elevator business is complex and many aspects must be considered when developing a custom fit solution for the environment. The knowledge gained from the background study was used to generate solutions leading to a final product concept. The concept development process resulted in a dome housing solution for the AXIS FA1105 sensor unit. The housing is very small and discrete, which provides many advantages in the elevator environment. In the final concept, the sensor unit is arranged in a silicone ball, the ball is placed in two rings with a spherical inside where it can rotate freely to provide the ideal field of view. A cover ring and dome is placed over the silicone ball to protect the camera and lock the silicone ball, thereby fixating the camera angle. This master's thesis analyzes the I/O process of IFS. It is presented an easy-to-use development that integrates an asynchronous parallel I/O server called XIOS into IFS. Moreover, different optimization techniques are applied in the integration to minimize the I/O overhead in the IFS execution.

Examensarbetets uppsats beskriver en produktutvecklingsprocess, syftet är att utveckla ett produktkoncept för en övervakningskamera i en hissmiljö. Studien är genomförd på uppdrag av Axis Communications AB, ett marknadsledare företag inom nätverksvideo. Uppsatsen inkluderar en omfattande bakgrundsstudie, i vilken syftet är att skapa förståelse för relevanta delar av hissbranschen för att få kunskap om hur kameraövervakning kan implementeras. För att uppnå bästa möjliga förståelse för hissmiljön, valdes utförandet av användarundersökning som primär metod för insamling av data. Bakgrundsstudien påvisade komplexiteten hissbranschen, samt att många aspekter måste vägas in under utvecklingen av en lösning anpassad för den miljön. Kunskap erhållen från bakgrundsstudien tillämpades för att generera lösningar vilka ledde fram till ett slutgiltigt koncept. Konceptutvecklingsprocessen resulterade i ett kamerahus för sensorenheten AXIS FA1105, utformat som en kupol. Kamerahuset är litet och diskret, vilket medför många fördelar i en hissmiljö. I det slutgiltiga konceptet arrangerades sensorenheten i en silikonboll, bollen i sig placerades emellan två ringar med en sfärisk insida där den är fri att rotera för att uppnå det optimala synfältet. En yttre täckring och kupol placeras sedan över silikonbollen för att skydda kameran och låsa bollen, därmed fixeras kamera vinkeln. The study is conducted on behalf of Axis Communications AB, a market leading company in network camera solutions. The thesis includes a comprehensive background study that seeks to understand relevant parts of the elevator business to gain knowledge on how a surveillance camera could be implemented. To achieve the best understanding of the environment, user research was performed as the primarily research method. The background study revealed that the elevator business is complex and many aspects must be considered when developing a custom fit solution for the environment. The knowledge gained from the background study was used to generate solutions leading to a final product concept. The concept development process resulted in a dome housing solution for the AXIS FA1105 sensor unit. The housing is very small and discrete, which provides many advantages in the elevator environment. In the final concept, the sensor unit is arranged in a silicone ball, the ball is placed in two rings with a spherical inside where it can rotate freely to provide the ideal field of view. A cover ring and dome is placed over the silicone ball to protect the camera and lock the silicone ball, thereby fixating the camera angle. El presente trabajo de fin de grado describe el diseño de una mesa con dos ejes para realizar operaciones de corte. Se contemplará en el la programación y puesta en marcha de los sistemas de control y generación de consigna y el montaje de los ejes propiamente dichos. No se considerará la parte correspondiente a la herramienta de corte y, debido a la falta de material, no se han podido montar los motores ni los sensores, por lo que no se han podido realizar las pruebas finales. Sin embargo, se ha completado la programación de la máquina y se han comprobado los programas mediante simulación. It will be considered the programation, launch of the control systems, consign generation and the assembly of the already mentioned axis. It will not be considered the cutting tool corresponding part, and due to the lack of material, neither the motors or the sensors could be assembled. Therefore, the final tests could not be performed. Nevertheless, the programation of the machine was completed and the programs were checked by simulation. The programation of the CPU allows the execution of polygons, circumferences, tangentials and skew curves, covering most of the objects present in the industry.

Ontogenesis represents unique qualitative and quantitative change of an organism, and it is process of somatic, functional and reproductive development of each individual from the time of fertilization to the organism’s mature form. Growth refers to a positive change in size of body over a period of time as a result of cellular proliferation and extracellular matrix secretion. Change of analyzed growth parameters over a period of time represents the characteristic growth pattern. The exact assessment of physical development of organs of human body and growth pattern of each individual is important for determination of extreme values under their standard norms or their deviation, and for diagnostic and therapeutically purposes. Changes in craniofacial system from birth to maturity are very characteristic. A lot of previous studies had shown the existence of correlation between growth and development of craniofacial and cervical structures. It has been shown that posture of cervical vertebra is influenced by several factors including: ethnicity, sex, age, constitution of the body, craniofacial morphology and orthodontic therapy. Based on previous research in our population there are no available data of growth and development parameters of craniofacial and cervical system, especially related to different age, sex and skeletal classes of patients. Additionally, influence of craniofacial parameters on growth and development of component of cervical system has not been thoroughly investigated. AIMS. This study aimed to determine the standard norms of parameters of craniofacial and cervical system in patients of our population with different age, sex and skeletal classes. The additional aims were to determine the correlation between craniofacial and cervical parameters and skeletal maturity of patients in our population based on morphological characteristics of cervical vertebra. MATERIAL AND METHODS. This retrospective study consisted of 540 patients of Clinic of orthodo, Ontogenetsko razviće obuhvata jedinstven niz kvalitativnih i kvantitativnih promena organizma, te predstavlja proces sveukupnog somatskog (anatomsko–morfološkog), funkci-onalnog i reproduktivnog formiranja svake individue od njenog začeća do pune polne zrelosti. Rast je porast mase i veličine organizma koji nastaje kao posledica povećanja broja ćelija proliferacijom, rastom ćelija i sekrecijom ekstracelularnog matriksa. Promena vrednosti analiziranih parametara rasta u odreĎenim vremenskim intervalima predstavlja karakterističan obrazac rasta. Tačna procena fiziološkog razvoja pojedinih organskih sistema i obrazac rasta svake individue vaţni su radi odreĎivanja ekstremnih vrednosti unutar fizioloških varijacija ili njihovog odstupanja, te postavljanja pravilne dijagnoze i sprovoĎenja adekvatne terapije. Promene u predelu kraniofacijalnog sistema od roĎenja do odraslog doba su izrazite i veoma upadljive. Mnogobrojna istraţivanja su pokazala da postoji povezanost izmeĎu rasta i razvoja kraniofacijalnih i cervikalnih struktura. Pokazano je da na poloţaj vratnog dela kičmenog stuba utiču mnogobrojni faktori poput: etničke pripadnosti, pola, uzrasta, konstitucije, kraniofacijalne morfologije, kao i ortodontska terapija. Sa aspekta procene obrasca rasta, u dosadašnjim istraţivanjima još uvek nisu analizirani parametri rasta i razvoja kranio-facijalnog i cervikalnog sistema u našoj populaciji u odnosu na različite uzraste i pol pa-cijenata, kao i različite skeletne klase. Dodatno, nedovoljno je ispitan uticaj kraniofacijalnih parametara na rast i razvoj komponenti cervikalnog segmenta kičmenog stuba. CILJ ISTRAŢIVANJA. Ovo istraţivanje je imalo za cilj da odredi vrednosti kranio-facijalnih parametara i parametara cervikalnog dela kičmenog stuba na ispitivanom uzorku pacijenata različite starosti, pola i skeletnih klasa.
