Objective: We summarize the global, regional, and national burden of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in children and adolescents from 1990 to 2019., Methods: Based on the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019, the data of IBD in children and adolescents were analyzed by sex, age, year, and location. Joinpoint analysis was applied to assess the temporal trend of the disease burden., Results: From 1990 to 2019, the incidence of IBD in children and adolescents increased by 22.8%, from 20,897.42 to 25,658.55 cases, especially in high SDI region. During the same period, the DALY numbers decreased by 53.5%, from 243,081.06 to 113,119.86, with all SDI regions experiencing a clear drop in DALYs except high SDI regions. In 2019, early-onset IBD incidence and DALY numbers were reported at 2,053.52 (95% UI: 1,575.62 to 2,677.49) and 73,797.46 (95% UI: 43,655.86 to 105,998.63), respectively., Conclusion: Early-onset IBD in children and adolescents remains a significant global health concern. Constructing hydraulic engineering ensures agricultural development and improves salinization environments. However, in seasonally frozen salinization regions, hydraulic engineering is prone to deformation failure. Leakage from canal raises the regional groundwater level, triggering secondary salinization environmental issues. Exploring the instability mechanisms is thus necessary for hydraulic engineering. Traditional deformation monitoring techniques and soil experiments are constrained by observation scale and timeliness. In this study, Sentinel-1B data from November 2017 to August 2019 were acquired. The small baseline subset (SBAS) InSAR approach was employed to interpret the seasonal deformation characteristics in both the vertical and slope directions of a damaged canal segment in Songyuan, Northeast China. The mechanical properties of saline-alkali soil under varying water contents were quantified by integrating unconfined compression experiment (UCE). In May, as the soil thawed downward, a frozen lenses with poor permeability formed at a depth of approximately 100 cm, causing the accumulation of meltwater and infiltrated precipitation between the frozen layer and the melting layer in the canal. The soil water content at a depth of 80 to 140 cm exceeded 22 %, reaching a threshold for rapid reduction in unconfined compression strength (UCS). Consequently, in spring, the low soil strength between the frozen layer and the melting layer resulted in interface sliding, with a displacement of -133.88 mm in the canal slope direction. Furthermore, the differential projection of freeze-thaw deformation in the slope direction caused continuous creep of the canal towards the free face, with a value of -23.27 mm, exacerbating the formation of the late spring landslide. Integrating InSAR and engineering geological analysis is beneficial for addressing deformation issues in hydraulic engineering. Background: Asia's inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) burden has rapidly increased recently, but the epidemiological trends in Asia remain unclear. We report IBD's incidence, prevalence, mortality, and Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALY) in 52 Asian countries from 1990 to 2019., Methods: Data from the Global Burden of Disease 2019 were analyzed for IBD burden across 52 countries, using metrics like incidence, prevalence, mortality rates, and DALY. The epidemiological trend of IBD from 1990 to 2019 was assessed with the Joinpoint and APC methods. Decomposition and frontier analyses examined factors behind IBD case and death changes. The NORPRED forecasted Asia's morbidity and mortality trends from 2019 to 2044., Results: From 1990 to 2019, The incidence and prevalence of IBD increased in Asia, while mortality and DALY decreased. East Asia had the highest increase in disease burden. IBD incidence was highest among the 30-34 age group, with prevalence peaking in the 45-49 age group. In high-income regions, IBD peak age shifted to younger groups. Decompose analysis showed population growth as the primary factor for the increasing IBD cases in Asia. NORDPRED model predicted a continued IBD burden increase in Asia over the next 25 years., Conclusions: Between 1990 and 2019, ASIR and ASPR of IBD in Asia increased, while ASMR and ASDR decreased. Background: Pancreatic cancer is renowned for its elevated incidence and mortality rates on a global scale. The disease burden of pancreatic cancer is anticipated to increase, particularly in Asia, due to its vast and rapidly aging population., Methods: Data from the Global Burden of Disease 2019 were analyzed for pancreatic cancer burden across 52 countries in Asia, including the incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALY) for pancreatic cancer, with a focus on risk factors such as high body mass index (BMI), elevated fasting plasma glucose, and smoking. We applied the Estimated Annual Percentage Change, the Age-Period-Cohort model, and decomposition analysis to evaluate incidence trends and effects., Results: From 1990 to 2019, both incidence and mortality rates of pancreatic cancer in Asia significantly increased, with an average annual standardized incidence rate change of 1.73%. Males consistently exhibited higher rates than females, with smoking as a key risk factor. Central Asia reported the highest rates, and South Asia the lowest. The incidence rose with age, peaking in those aged 70~74. The disease burden increased in all age groups, particularly in populations aged 55 and above, representing 84.41% of total cases in 2019, up from 79.01% in 1990. Pancreatic cancer ranked the fifth in incidence among six major gastrointestinal tumors but presented a significant growth rate of mortality and DALY., Conclusion: With the growing, aging population in Asia, the pancreatic cancer burden is projected to escalate, bringing a significant public health challenge. To comprehensively evaluate the efficiency and risk of the chiral pesticide fenobucarb, the bioactivity, toxicity, and environmental behavior of fenobucarb (FNC) enantiomers were investigated. The results showed that R-FNC possesses 1.8-2.7 times more bioactivity than S-FNC but 1.3-3.0 times lower toxicity than S-FNC against four nontarget organisms: Chlorella pyrenoidosa , HepG2, and Danio rerio and its embryos. The corresponding enzyme inhibitory activity showed consistent results; the acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity of target organisms was ordered as R-FNC > rac-FNC > S-FNC, while the reduction in catalase activity after exposure to R-FNC was 2.5 times that after exposure to S-FNC in zebrafish. The enantioselective bioactivity mechanism of FNC enantiomers was further explored in silico . No significant enantioselective degradation was found in soils or rat liver microsomes. In sum, R-FNC possesses higher insecticidal activity and lower toxicity. The development of R-FNC as a commercial agrochemical is beneficial for reducing pesticide inputs.

Cyproconazole, a chiral triazole fungicide, has been diffusely used and analyzed. The development of an effective analytical method for cyproconazole enantiomers can support their residual monitoring and risk assessment. In the present study, the absolute configuration of the cyproconazole enantiomers was confirmed by electronic circular dichroism and time-dependent density functional theory. The enantioseparation parameters were optimized by the response surface methodology using the Box-Behnken design on Lux Cellulose-2. The elution order of (2S,3R)-(+)-, (2S,3S)-(+)-, (2R,3S)-(-)-, and (2R,3R)-(-)-cyproconazole was simulated with molecular docking. The enantiomers were completely separated primarily via halogen bond and hydrogen bond interactions with the chiral stationary phases. The mean recoveries of the cyproconazole enantiomers in the four matrices were 71.8-102.0% with intraday relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 0.3-11.9% and interday RSDs of 0.9-10.6%. The results showed the chiral recognition mechanism clearly and confirmed that the method was accurate and convenient for the simultaneous detection of cyproconazole enantiomers in environmental and food matrices.

Prothioconazole is a widely used chiral triazole fungicide. In this work, the enantioselective degradation and transformation of prothioconazole and its chiral metabolite prothioconazole-desthio in five kinds of soils were investigated under native and sterile conditions using reversed phase liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry with a Lux-cellulose-1 column. The results showed that an enantioselective degradation was observed with R-prothioconazole preferentially degraded in the five soils and enantiomeric fraction values that ranged from 0.32 to 0.41 under native conditions. Furthermore, the major metabolite prothioconazole-desthio was formed rapidly during prothioconazole dissipation. The prothioconazole-desthio enantiomers were degraded slowly, and there was a slight enantioselectivity with enantiomeric fraction values that ranged from 0.45 to 0.51 in the Nanjing and Jilin soils. Under sterile conditions, prothioconazole and its metabolite enantiomers were more slowly degraded with no enantioselectivity. The result of the incubation experiment with single enantiomers verified that R- and S-prothioconazole were transformed to R- and S-prothioconazole-desthio, respectively. No enantiomerization for prothioconazole and its chiral metabolite was observed. In addition, the excellent correlation between organic matter content and degradation rate indicated that organic matter could promote the degradation of prothioconazole and its metabolite enantiomers.
