Purpose: Many curricula promote frontal teaching approaches, potentially decreasing interaction and motivation - also within infection prevention & control and infectious diseases (IPC/ID). We aimed to investigate the implementation of three innovative teaching methods (ITM) within IPC/ID education: game-based learning (GBL), peer-teaching (PT) and misinformation detection (MID)., Methods: Multi-phase study involving third-year medical students was conducted. Phase-1 included a cross-sectional survey, assessing previous ITM-experience and interest to participate in phase-2, where the students were divided into teams. Each team prepared a video covering an IPC/ID-topic with deliberately placed misinformation, which had to be identified and corrected by the opposing team, followed by qualitative evaluation (phase-3). Finally, the MID-concept was incorporated into regular curricula in a non-competitive environment (phase-4) and evaluated within a cohort not involved in phases 1-3., Results: 276 students responded to phase-1. 58% expressed interest in participating in phase-2. Roughly 59% [47-71%] CI-95% of respondents without previous PT-experience stated interest in PT, while the interest in GBL and MID was even higher. 19 students participated in phase-2. All topic MID-scores ranged between 6 and 8/10 points, except for emporiatrics (3/10). Post-hoc analysis revealed a positive student-perception of ITM, particularly GBL. Phase-4 received 103 responses with general positive evaluation. Major agreements existed on the usefulness of critical information evaluation for medical practice (82% [75-91%] CI-95%) and of MID during studies (69% [59-79%] CI-95%)., Conclusion: our results hint at a relatively high interest in ITM and show MID applicability in regular IPC/ID curricula, which could be of advantage for the learning environment., (© 2024. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze Language Learning through Music on the academic achievement (AA), creative thinking (CT), and self-esteem (SE) of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Learners. With the rapid progress of technology, there has been a growing interest in exploring innovative teaching methods that not only enhance learning outcomes but also actively engage students in the language learning process. However, the specific impact of technology-enhanced language learning through music (TELLTM) on these language learning outcomes has received limited attention in previous research. In 2023, a sample of 360 male elementary-level language learners was selected using a multiple-stage cluster sampling (MSCS) technique. The participants' homogeneity was assessed through the Oxford Quick Placement Test (OQPT), administered following a random sampling procedure. Data collection involved the administration of three questionnaires: The academic achievement questionnaire, the self-esteem questionnaire, and the creative thinking questionnaire. The findings of the study analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics, revealed a significant positive impact of TELLTM on the AA, CT, and SE of EFL learners. These results have important implications for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers, providing valuable insights into the incorporation of TELLTM into English language instruction. The use of these three questionnaires provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of TELLTM in enhancing various aspects of language learning. Objective: The aim of the study was to assess the current curricular status of content on infection prevention in hospitals during medical education prior to the development of a serious game on infection prevention in hospitals. In addition, the data collected was to be contrasted with the training for a specialist nurse in hygiene and infection prevention (FKHI)., Methodology: In an online survey, persons in charge of medical degree programs and continuing education centers for FKHI, SkillsLabs and professional associations in Germany were asked to answer 28 questions on framework conditions, teaching, examinations, and gamification., Results: Data was collected for 22 medical degree programs and 5 FKHI continuing education centers. Due to the low response rate, the data for the FKHI was only analyzed in summary form. On average, 13.5 teaching units (median) are available in medical studies. Six degree programs have a longitudinal curriculum. In 7 of the 22 degree programs, teaching is based on the National Competency-Based Learning Objectives Catalogue (NKLM). Almost all locations teach this content in lectures (n=18) and/or in internships (n=13). Teaching and examinations are most common in the third year of study (n=12). In addition to practical OSCE examinations (n=5), written (n=12) and computer-based (n=8) examinations are used in particular. Gamification is known as a didactic approach to some extent but is not used for teaching infection prevention., Conclusions: Infection prevention in hospitals is given relatively low priority in medical education. Teaching and examinations are based on traditional knowledge-oriented formats, although practical teaching and practical examinations are established at some locations. In contrast to the FKHI, learning objectives currently appear to be less standardized. Objective: Mobile-based educational software offers a wealth of resources that can foster the growth of learners and facilitate the creation of an interactive learning environment. This environment encourages both students and instructors to engage in exploration and the examination of various medical issues. The objective of this study is to design, implement, and evaluate an electronic educational program focused on common medical conditions, specifically tailored for medical students and accessible through mobile phones., Method: The study was conducted following an action research approach, which comprised four key stages: needs assessment, application design, training, and evaluation. This research took place at the Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences' Medical School. In the needs assessment phase, a formal survey was distributed to the teaching faculty members, requesting them to identify diseases and medical issues of high importance for medical interns' education that were suitable for virtual teaching. Each faculty member was asked to prioritize a minimum of three and a maximum of seven cases. Subsequently, 10 faculty members from various departments completed the survey, leading to the identification of 47 common diseases after eliminating duplicates. These 47 cases were then presented to 30 medical interns, who were asked to select the 20 most significant cases. The 20 diseases with the highest statistical frequency were selected for further development due to resource constraints. The mobile application was developed for the Android platform using the Java programming language and the Android Studio development environment. To assess the application's effectiveness from the students' perspective, a questionnaire was designed, encompassing 25 questions across five domains: satisfaction, performance, learning, usability, and educational effectiveness. The questionnaire employed a Likert scale, with response options ranging from 'completely disagree' to 'completely agree,' scored from 1 to 5. One hundred medical interns and trainees were invited to participate in the evaluation, with 92 of them completing the questionnaires., Results: The findings revealed a significant disparity in the average scores between students who underwent traditional teaching methods and those who engaged in mobile-based app-assisted education. This discrepancy was statistically significant across all three examined components., Conclusion: Mobile-based learning represents a burgeoning educational approach with profound implications for healthcare education and the enhancement of patient care quality. Case studies, including the experience of the University Clinic of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, are utilized to provide insights into their operational challenges, successes, and future prospects., Conclusion: Conclusions: University clinics play a crucial role in medical education by fostering professional skills, clinical competencies, and ethical standards in future physicians. Background: Effective teaching methods are important in psychiatry. Previous studies have focused on the assessment of students about the effective teaching methods but not on a self-assessment by teachers., Aims: Primary objective is to evaluate the teachers' and students' perspectives of effective teaching methods in psychiatry for medical undergraduates. Secondary objectives include assessment of the concordance of each item and exploring innovative teaching methods., Settings and Design: A cross-sectional study design used in teachers and medical students from St. John's Medical College, Bangalore (India)., Methods and Material: A modified teachers and medical students perspectives of effective psychiatry teaching methods were used., Statistical Analysis: Differences in continuous variable assessed with independent sample-test and categorical variables with Chi-square test. The Domain scores were divided into tertiles and the highest and lowest tertiles were analyzed., Results: Both students and teachers had high perspectives on most of the teaching methods. Differences were found in items such as " using multimedia slide effectively ," " good sense of humor while teaching ," " presentation summarizes the key points ," and " presentation links ideas effectively ." Role play-based and live/simulated patient-based teachings were reported most frequently by both. Significantly, a higher proportion of the 6 th term students and a lesser proportion of teachers were associated with the lowest tertiles for Domain 1, 2, and 3. Significantly, increased number of 8 th term students were found in the higher tertiles in Domain 3., Conclusions: These findings have practical implications in identifying the gaps in effective teaching methods by the teachers. The research expects to explore the psychological mobilization of innovative teaching methods of Music Majors under the new curriculum reform. The relevant theories of college students' innovative teaching methods are analyzed under deep learning together with the innovation and construction of music courses. Thereupon, college students' psychological mobilization is studied. Firstly, the relationship between innovation and entrepreneurship teaching and deep learning is obtained through a literature review. Secondly, the music classroom model is designed based on the deep learning theory, and the four dimensions of the music curriculum are defined to innovate and optimize the music teaching model. Finally, the Questionnaire Survey (QS) is used to analyze the design classroom model. Only 15% of the 180 respondents understand the concept of deep learning, 32% like interactive music learning, and 36% like competitive comparative music classroom learning. And the students who study instrumental music have higher significant differences in learning motivation than those who study vocal music. In addition to classroom learning, 16% of people improve their music skills through music equipment. College students like interactive music classes and competitive comparison classes that can give more play to their subjective initiative. After the new curriculum reform, the music curriculum based on deep learning can stimulate students' interest in learning and participate in the mobilization of students' learning psychology. Therefore, in the future of music education and teaching, there is a need to pay more attention to students' psychological status. The study describes an innovative methodology for teaching natural and mathematical sciences in the context of distance learning using modern technological solutions and based on the concepts of active social learning that involves constructivist, problem-oriented, project and research approaches. The proposed methodology was tested on 80 students enrolled in two training courses in [BLINDED] University and [BLINDED] University, respectively: Mathematics Teaching in the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) context and Molecular Biology . The psychological safety of the proposed pedagogical methodology was investigated by assessing the level of psychological well-being of the participants in the educational process using the Scale of psychological well-being questionnaire developed by C. D. Ryff that was adapted to the educational context. The results of the study showed that the proposed pedagogical methodology was safe in relation to the life of students. It generally improved their perception of learning and themselves in the role of its participants, promoted positive self-esteem in group learning contacts, and, by developing learning involvement and interest through the Clil technology, qualitatively contributed to the achievement of educational progress by each student. The developed innovative methodology for teaching natural and mathematical sciences can be used as a pedagogical model for developing effective training courses. Medical council of India has made remarkable modifications in the curriculum of medical students after a long period of more than 20 years with regulations on Graduate Medical Education 1997. Innovative and interactive teaching methods have taken center place in the implementation of the new curriculum nationwide. Small group teaching and problem-assisted learning have brought a paradigm shift in biochemistry teaching, which was earlier teacher cantered and was taught by only didactic lectures due to which biochemistry was considered a boring and dry subject. The present interventional study was conducted in the Department of Biochemistry, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. All the students of MBBS first professional Batch 2018-2019 were enrolled in the present study. After sensitizing the faculty and students regarding jigsaw method of learning, it was undertaken in two different batches on 4 different days, with faculty and senior residents acting as facilitators. The groups were named according to rainbow colors. The topics were taught by power point presentation before the conduction of jigsaw activity that was discussed in form of seven clinical cases. Post jigsaw, a prevalidated feedback questionnaire was filled by the students. The faculty and senior residents gave a constructive feedback via focused group discussion. In our study 100% students opined that teaching and being taught by peers was beneficial in enhancing the in depth knowledge of the topic. Ninety-two percent students opined jigsaw learning helpful in promoting self-directed learning in the student, whereas 88.5% students felt that this teaching learning tool to be made a the regular part of the curriculum. Jigsaw groups create many opportunities for creative interchange of ideas and lively and meaningful participations. Achieving the ultimate goal of the educational process in universities is training of highly qualified and competitive specialists in health care. The aim of the study is to assess the results of using the innovative and interactive teaching methods implemented in the national system of higher medical education., Patients and Methods: Materials and methods: Official documents; the academic studies of leading Ukrainian scientists-pedagogues; textbooks and manuals on pedagogy, the results of our own pedagogical practice., Conclusion: Conclusions: The widespread adoption of digital technologies into the educational process at clinical and theoretical departments of medical universities significantly simplifies the assimilation of the disciplines, optimizes and generalizes the results of the educational process. The innovative path of education development is a "social elevator" that raises people to higher levels of social development.

Introduction: Health professionals need to develop analytic and diagnostic thinking skills and not just a mere accumulation of large amount of facts. Hence, Case Based Learning (CBL) has been used in the medical curriculum for this reason, so that the students are exposed to the real medical problems, which helps them in develop analysing abilities. This also helps them in interpreting and solving the problems and in the course of doing this, they develop interest. In addition to didactic lectures, CBL was used as a learning method., Methods: This study was conducted in the Department of Biochemistry, S.B.K.S.M.I and R.C, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth ,Piparia, Gujarat, India. A group of 100 students were selected and they were divided into two groups as the control group and the study group. A total of 50 students were introduced to case based learning, which formed the study group and 50 students who attended didactic lectures formed the control group., Results: A very significant improvement (p<0.0001) was observed among the students after the CBL sessions and they were also motivated by these sessions. A 4 point Likert scale questionnaire which contained 8 questions was administered to the students, to know their perception on the usefulness of the CBL. 98% of the students reported that they found the CBL sessions to be an interesting method of gaining knowledge. 84% of them felt that they exposed them to an experience of logical application of the knowledge which was gained in cracking cases, which would be of great help in the future also., Conclusion: Case Based Learning (CBL) was used and it is effective in the medical curriculum for a better understanding of Biochemistry among the medical students.
