Introduction: Patient satisfaction is an integral part of healthcare quality, impacting treatment adherence, patient loyalty and healthcare utilisation. Parental satisfaction is particularly crucial as parents influence decision-making for their child's healthcare., Objective: The objective was to assess parental satisfaction levels (as measured by Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire-18 (PSQ-18)) related to paediatric healthcare services and identify specific factors significantly influencing parental satisfaction with paediatric healthcare services., Methodology: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study that used a structured questionnaire based on the PSQ-18. The study was conducted in Faisalabad, Islamabad, Peshawar and Swat. Seven subscales measured satisfaction across various dimensions., Results: We found 882 suitable responses indicating a diverse participant demographic, with the largest group in the 6-12 years age category. The overall mean parental satisfaction score was 2.0±0.5 (40.0%). Notably, financial aspects scored highest at 2.8 (55%), followed by accessibility and convenience at 2.0 (40.5%). However, lower satisfaction scores in the interpersonal relationship (1.8±0.5) and technical quality (1.8±0.5) domains were recorded. Sociodemographic analysis indicated age, education and occupation significantly influenced satisfaction. Conversely, factors such as gender, residence and the presence of chronic disease did not significantly impact satisfaction levels., Conclusion: The study offers valuable insights into paediatric patient satisfaction in Pakistan, emphasising the need for targeted interventions and improvements in specific domains to enhance overall healthcare quality., Competing Interests: Competing interests: NO competing Interests., (© Author(s) (or their employer(s)) 2024. The present article provides a detailed analysis of the Darcy Forchheimer flow of hybrid nanoliquid past an exponentially extending curved surface. In the porous space, the viscous fluid is expressed by Darcy-Forchheimer. The cylindrical shaped carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs and MWCNTs) and Fe3O4 (iron oxide) are used to synthesize hybrid nanofluid. At first, the appropriate similarity transformation is used to convert the modeled nonlinear coupled partial differential equations into nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations. Then the resulting highly nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations are analytically solved by the utilization of the "Homotopy analysis method" (HAM) method. The influence of sundry flow factors on velocity, temperature, and concentration profile are sketched and briefly discussed. The enhancement in both volume fraction parameter and curvature parameter k results in raises of the velocity profile. The uses of both Fe3O4 and CNTs nanoparticles are expressively improving the thermophysical properties of the base fluid. Apart from this, the numerical values of some physical quantities such as skin friction coefficients, local Nusselt number, and Sherwood number for the variation of the values of pertinent parameters are displayed in tabular forms. The obtained results show that the hybrid nanofluid enhances the heat transfer rate 2.21%, 2.1%, and 2.3% using the MWCNTs, SWCNTs, and Fe3O4 nanomaterials., Competing Interests: The authors have no conflict of interest.

The structural, magnetic, and optical properties of the pristine and Gd-doped ZnO nanorods (NRs), prepared by facile thermal decomposition, have been studied using a combination of experimental and density functional theory (DFT) with Hubbard U correction approaches. The XRD patterns demonstrate the single-phase wurtzite structure of the pristine and doped ZnO. The rod-like shape of the nanoparticles has been examined by FESEM and TEM techniques. Elemental compositions of the pure and doped samples were identified by EDX measurement. Due to the Burstein-Moss shift, the optical band gaps of the doped samples have been widened compared to pristine ZnO. The PL spectra show the presence of complex defects. Room temperature magnetic properties have been measured using VSM and revealed the coexistence of paramagnetic and weak ferromagnetic ordering in Gd 3+ doped ZnO-NRs. The magnetic moment was increased upon addition of more Gd ions into the ZnO host lattice. The DFT+U calculations confirm that the presence of vacancy-complexes has a significant effect on the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of a pristine ZnO system., Competing Interests: There are no conflicts to declare., (This journal is © The Royal Society of Chemistry.)
