Accompanying China's accession to the World Trade Organization, the rapid development of the Chinese economy has led to increasingly serious environmental issues. However, the inherent mechanisms underlying the impact of Environmental Information Disclosure (EID) policy and trade on the environmental effects of Chinese paper enterprises remain unclear in the context of the era's requirement for a resource-conserving and environmentally-friendly society. The pollution problem in the papermaking industry has received attention worldwide, and how to balance the environmental and development issues of papermaking enterprises is an urgent issue that needs to be solved in the academic community. This study explores the impact mechanisms of EID policy and trade on the environmental effects of enterprises from the perspective of financial constraints. Utilizing the PSM-DID model, the study investigates the moderating effects of financial constraints on the EID policy and import-export trade. The findings reveal that both external and internal financial constraints have negative, detrimental effects on the environmental effects of the EID policy and trade. These constraints impede research and development investment and technological upgrades, hinder productivity improvement, and hamper the realization of "regulatory and trade innovation effects". Industrial processes and municipal wastes largely contribute to the fluctuations in iron (Fe) content in soils. Fe, when present in unfavorable amount, causes harmful effects on human, flora, and fauna. The present study is an attempt to evaluate the composition of Fe in surface soils from paper mill and municipal landfill sites and assess their potential ecological and human health risks. Geochemical fractionation was conducted to explore the chemical bonding of Fe across different fractions, i.e., water-soluble (F1) to residual (F6). Different contamination factors and pollution indices were evaluated to comprehend Fe contamination extent across the study area. Results indicated the preference for less mobile forms in the paper mill and landfill, with 26.66% and 43.46% of Fe associated with the Fe-Mn oxide bound fraction (F4), and 57.22% and 24.78% in the residual fraction (F6). Maximum mobility factor (MF) of 30.65% was observed in the paper mill, and 80.37% in the landfill. The enrichment factor (EF) varied within the range of 20 < EF < 40, signifying a high level of enrichment in the soil. The individual contamination factor (ICF) ranged from 0 to >6, highlighting low to high contamination. Adults were found to be more vulnerable towards Fe associated health risks compared to children. The Hazard Quotient (HQ) index showed the highest risk potential pathways as dermal contact > ingestion > inhalation. The research assessed waste-based briquettes consumption compared to conventional fuels in the Andes. Laboratory tests were conducted together with on-field analysis in Colquencha (Bolivia). The laboratory study shows that the performances of briquettes are better in terms of PM2.5 (933.4 ± 50.8 mg kg -1 ) and CO emissions (22.89 ± 2.40 g kg -1 ) compared to animal dung (6265.7 ± 1273.5 mgPM2.5 kg -1 and 48.10 ± 12.50 gCO kg -1 ), although the boiling time increased due to the lower fuel consumption rate and firepower compared to shrubs. The social survey organized with 150 Bolivian citizens suggested that low-income households are not able to pay for an alternative fuel: about 40% would pay less than 4 USD per month, while methane use for cooking is positively correlated with the income level (r = 0.244, p < 0.05). On field analysis suggested that local cookstoves are not appropriate for briquettes combustion since indoor air pollution overcomes 30 ppm of CO and 10 mgPM2.5 m -3 . On balance, local small manufactures can be the main target for selling waste-based briquettes to reduce shrubs and wood consumption. However, briquettes production costs seem not yet competitive to natural easy-to-obtain fuels (i.e., animal dung). Novel Carbon quantum dots-graphite composite ink-based Screen-printed electrodes (CQDs/SPEs) were used to assemble a highly sensitive electrochemical aptasensor against chlorpyrifos (CPF). The aptasensor showed a broad linear range from 1 pM (0.445 ng/ml) to 500 nM (0.22 mg/ml) with a detection limit (LOD) 0.834 pM (0.37 ng/ml); sensitivity 21.39 μA pM -1  cm - 2 and with good linearity of R 2  = 0.973. Moreover, the aptasensor's showed better selectivity among few other pesticides. Further, the aptasensor electrode showed high stability for five months when stored at 4 °C. In the final step, the aptasensor's ability to identify CPF in real samples was evaluated on spiked potato (Solanum tuberosum) extract samples. Potato extract spiked with CPF in the electrochemical aptasensing platform showed excellent linearity of R 2  = 0.981. The developed aptasensor showed good response to without spiked potato extract with increasing volumes. Climate, weather and environmental change have significantly influenced patterns of infectious disease transmission, necessitating the development of early warning systems to anticipate potential impacts and respond in a timely and effective way. Statistical modelling plays a pivotal role in understanding the intricate relationships between climatic factors and infectious disease transmission. For example, time series regression modelling and spatial cluster analysis have been employed to identify risk factors and predict spatial and temporal patterns of infectious diseases. Recently advanced spatio-temporal models and machine learning offer an increasingly robust framework for modelling uncertainty, which is essential in climate-driven disease surveillance due to the dynamic and multifaceted nature of the data. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, including deep learning and neural networks, excel in capturing intricate patterns and hidden relationships within climate and environmental data sets. Web-based data has emerged as a powerful complement to other datasets encompassing climate variables and disease occurrences. However, given the complexity and non-linearity of climate-disease interactions, advanced techniques are required to integrate and analyse these diverse data to obtain more accurate predictions of impending outbreaks, epidemics or pandemics. This article presents an overview of an approach to creating climate-driven early warning systems with a focus on statistical model suitability and selection, along with recommendations for utilizing spatio-temporal and machine learning techniques. Developing a photoelectric cathode capable of efficiently activating molecular oxygen to degrade pollutants is a coveted yet challenging goal. In pursuit of this, we synthesize a Fe doped porous carbon nitride catalyst (Fe-CN) using an ionothermal strategy and subsequently loaded it on the hydrophobic carbon felt (CF) to fabricate the Fe-CN/CF photoelectric cathode. This cathode benefits from the synergistic effects between the porous CN support and the highly dispersed Fe species, which enhance O 2 absorption and activation. Additionally, the hydrophobic CF serves as a gas diffusion layer, accelerating O 2 mass transfer. These features enable the Fe-CN/CF cathode to demonstrate notable photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) degradation efficiency. Specifically, under optimal conditions (cathodic bias of -0.3 V Ag/AgCl , pH 7, and a catalyst loading of 3 mg/cm 2 ), the system achieves a 76.4% removal rate of tetracycline (TC) within 60 min. The general application potential of this system is further underscored by its ability to remove approximately 98% of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) and phenol under identical conditions. Subsequent investigations into the active species and degradation pathways reveal that 1 O 2 and h + play dominant role during the PEC degradation process, leading to gradually breakdown of TC into less toxicity, smaller molecular intermediates. Background: Epidemiological data regarding thyroid diseases are lacking, in particular for occupationally exposed populations., Objectives: To compare the risk of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism between farming activities within the complete population of French farm managers (FMs)., Methods: Digital health data from retrospective administrative databases, including insurance claims and electronic health/medical records, was employed. This cohort data spanned the entirety of French farm managers (FMs) who had undertaken work at least once from 2002 to 2016. Survival analysis with the time to initial medication reimbursement as timescale was used to examine the association (hazard ratio, HR) between 26 specific farming activities and both treated hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. A distinct model was developed for each farming activity, comparing FMs who had never engaged in the specific farming activity between 2002 and 2016 with those who had. All analyses were adjusted for potential confounders (e.g., age), and sensitivity analyses were conducted., Results: Among 1088561 FMs (mean age 46.6 [SD 14.1]; 31% females), there were 31834 hypothyroidism cases (75% females) and 620 hyperthyroidism cases (67% females), respectively. The highest risks were observed for cattle activities for both hyperthyroidism (HR ranging from 1.75 to 2.42) and hypothyroidism (HR ranging from 1.41 to 1.44). For hypothyroidism, higher risks were also observed for several animal farming activities (pig, poultry, and rabbit), as well as fruit arboriculture (HR = 1.22 [1.14-1.31]). The lowest risks were observed for activities involving horses. Sex differences in the risk of hypothyroidism were observed for eight activities, with the risk being higher for males (HR = 1.09 [1.01-1.20]) than females in viticulture (HR = 0.97 [0.93-1.00]). The risk of hyperthyroidism was two times higher for male dairy farmers than females., Discussion: Our findings offer a comprehensive overview of thyroid disease risks within the FM community. Thyroid ailments might not stem from a single cause but likely arise from the combined effects of various causal agents and triggering factors (agricultural exposome). In this study, multilayer self-assembled multifunctional bamboo shoot shell biochar microspheres (BSSBM) were prepared, in which bamboo shoot shell biochar was used as the carrier, titanium dioxide as the intermediate medium, and chitosan as the adhesion layer. The adsorption behavior of BSSBM on heavy metals Ag(I) and Pd(II), antibiotics, and dye wastewater was systematically analyzed. BSSBM shows a wide range of adsorption capacity. BSSBM is a promising candidate for the purification of real polluted water, not only for metal ions, but also for Tetracycline (TC) and Methylene Blue (MB). The maximum adsorption amounts of BSSBM on Pd(II), Ag(I), TC and MB were 417.3 mg/g, 222.5 mg/g, 97.2 mg/g and 42.9 mg/g, respectively.The adsorption of BSSBM on Pd(II), MB and TC conformed to the quasi-first kinetic model, and the adsorption on Ag(I) conformed to the quasi-second kinetic model. BSSBM showed remarkable selective adsorption capacity for Ag(I) and Pd(II) in a multi-ion coexistence system. BSSBM not only realized the high value-added utilization of waste, but also had the advantages of low cost, renewable and selective adsorption.
