Abstract

The characterization and analysis of newly prepared nanocrystalline Ti[O.sub.2] under calcination atmosphere of air and oxygen is prepared. The results obtained for the different surface defects due to different thermal treatment atmosphere provide insight into the spectroscopic property changes in nanocrystalline Ti[O.sub.2] that are crucial to its application properties in photoconversation and photocatalysis.
