Abstract

Research demonstrates that the synthetic peptides rich in arginine residues possess an ubiquitous internalization mechanism, which facilitates their translocation through the cell membrane similar to that exhibited by the HIV-1 Tat derived peptide. Data indicate that both linear and branched-chain peptides, containing arginines in certain cluster form, function as carriers of intracellular protein delivery
