Abstract

Primary, secondary and tertiary amides involve treatment of activated derivatives of acids, especially acyl halides, acid hydrides with ammonia. Simple, mild and general procedure for the preparation of primary, secondary and tertiary amides with N-acylbenzotriazoles is discussed.
