Abstract

The synthesis, as well as the room-temperature ferromagnetism observed in the various Cu-implanted nonpolar GaN films is explained. The nonpolar films are shown to exhibit a strong saturation magnetization, where as the polar films are shown to exhibit a weak magnetization mechanism.

Abstract

The fabrication and characteristics of InGaN/GaN light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on pyramidal patterned sapphire substrates in the micro- and nanoscale (MPSS and NPSS) prepared by wet etching are described. The enhanced light output power is attributed to the improvement of the light extraction efficiency by patterned sapphire substrates.

Abstract

The fabrication and characterization of semicrystalline 3, 4, 9, 10 perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA:CuPc) composites are reported. It is shown that the ITO/PTCDA:CuPc anode structure is much superior than the conventional indium tin oxide (ITO)/CuPc anode structure.

Abstract

The temperature dependences of the Raman-active modes in the nonpolar a-plane GaN film are analyzed by using polarized Raman scattering measurements ranging from 100 to 570 K. The analysis of the temperature-dependent active optical phonon modes in the nonpolar GaN film might help in determining the variable-temperature structural parameters that are responsible for the efficiency of nonpolar GaN-based optoelectronic devices.
