Abstract

A new multistate empirical valence bond model is developed for proton solvation and transport in aqueous solutions. Classical and quantum molecular dynamics simulations with the MS-EVB3 model have provided an accurate description of the solvation structure and diffusive dynamics of the excess proton.

4. Magnetic storage device using induced magnetic reversal of a cobalt element array

Abstract

The effects of the applied field, cell size, and cutting area on the 'seed' induced magnetic reversal of a cobalt element array is studied by a stochastic dynamic micromagnetics code using the Laudau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation. The study indicates that the method of 'seed' induced magnetic reversal can be used to store information that is thermally stable.
