The attenuation, phase velocity and acoustic impedance of an epoxy resin as a function of time were investigated using an ultrasonic pulse echo technique. Attenuation and phase velocity provide information on the average state of the hardening of the resin while acoustic impedance shows the state of the hardening of the resin at the interface with the vessel. The best mixture for the hardener that corresponds to the manufacturer's recommended value was determined. Experimental results showed a progressive hardening of the resin from the center of the resin toward the walls of the vessel.
