Abstract

[Cu.sup.I]/TF-BiphamPhos has displayed high enantio-/diastereo-selectivity and broad scope in the asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of various azomethine ylides. TF-BiphamPhos is prepared through highly efficient bromination and then phosphorylation protocol.

Abstract

Highly anti-selective and excellent enantioselective nitro-Mannich reactions are developed that are catalyzed by chiral bifunctional thiourea catalyst bearing multiple hydrogen-bonding donors. This method is the best result for organocatalyst asymmetric nitro-Mannich reactions and it has complemented the highly syn-selective version by using a heterobimetallic Cu-Sm-Schiff base complex.
