Abstract

The influence of fiber morphology on the light propagation properties was studied using optical and atomic force microscopy. The interpretation of the results assisted by model calculations of propagation of coherent light in 1-D random media suggested that organic nanofibers have potential for photonics and sensing applications at the nanoscale.

Abstract

The steady-state reaction of NO with H2 and NH3 on Pt(100) is investigated over a temperature range of 340-570 K, and the rotational and vibrational states of the N2 product are probed by resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization.
