Abstract The current study was designed within a survey-based quantitative research methodology in order to investigate Bulgarian teachers’ familiarity with, use of, and attitudes toward artificial intelligence (AI) at the nascent stage of its integration into the Bulgarian education system. The survey was completed by 2252 teachers, of whom 16.30% were men and 83.70% were women. The majority of the teachers (72%) reported some level of familiarity with AI technology. Higher levels of familiarity were significantly associated with younger teachers (aged 20 to 29), mathematics, sciences, and technology subject areas, as well as the male gender. More than 50% of the teachers reported using AI technology in their instruction. Familiarity with AI technology was the only significant predictor of AI use, overriding the effect of other variables. The teachers used AI technology to prepare teaching, assessment, and homework materials; design individual and team tasks; and grade students' work. The teachers who regularly used AI technology were more favorable towards AI in contrast to those who seldom or never employed AI. The majority of the respondents recognized the need for teacher training in AI technology and expressed willingness to participate in teacher training initiatives. Therefore, the current situation requires teacher education programs to harness teachers’ needs by equipping them with relevant AI literacy and skills that they could apply to the critical adoption of suitable AI tools. Educational institutions and stakeholders should provide guidelines and consultancy regarding technical, methodological, and ethical issues concerning the instructional use of AI technology.

Background and Study Aim. The motivational aspect of athletes' commitment to training is an important indicator of their sports performance. However, there is insufficient understanding of the subtle dynamics that determine this commitment. The purpose of the study is to explore how athletes' motivation relates to their training duration across different sports. It also aims to identify the impact of intrinsic, extrinsic, and amotivation on training hours and to predict athletes' training commitment. Material and Methods. In the study, 60 college students participated. Data collection utilized the Sport Motivation Scale, which assesses three dimensions of motivation: intrinsic, extrinsic, and amotivation. Physical training hours were meticulously recorded by the instructor. A maximum of 14 hours of training was provided per week as part of a training module lasting one complete month. Players who were absent due to illness were excluded from the study. Results. A significant positive correlation was found between intrinsic motivation (r = 0.93) and extrinsic motivation (r = 0.919) with training duration per week (p < 0.01). Additionally, a significant negative correlation was observed between amotivation and training duration per week (r = -0.873, p < 0.01). Motivation accounted for 84.4% of the variance in predicting physical activity training duration. Furthermore, motivation demonstrated a significant positive relationship (β = 0.921) with physical activity training duration. Conclusions. The current research provides evidence that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are crucial for engaging athletes in physical training and activity. Furthermore, amotivation serves as a deterrent to good performance in sports. To foster continuous improvement, coaches and instructors must intervene by providing athletes with positive feedback and maintaining their interest in the game through a variety of sports skills.

Background and Study Aim. Biomechanics is a fundamental component of Kinesiology, offering critical insights into the mechanics of human movement. As the demand for comprehensive educational programs in Kinesiology grows, understanding the role and effectiveness of biomechanics within these programs becomes increasingly important. The aim of the study is to investigate and highlight the role and importance of biomechanics in the context of higher education, with an emphasis on the discipline of Kinesiology. Material and Methods. This study involved 71 students from the Department of Physical Education and Sport at Pitești University Center. It included 43 students specializing in Physical Education and Sport (PES) and 28 in Sports and Motor Performance (SMP). The research utilized the university's e-learning platform to monitor teaching and evaluation activities within the Kinesiology discipline. The evaluation of fundamental Kinesiology knowledge was assessed through various indicators. Google Forms-Questionnaire sought to gauge student opinions on the thematic content of Biomechanics as applied to Kinesiology and to evaluate the teaching staff. The nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis Test was employed to analyze differences in means across the groups. Results. The study revealed a diverse interest in sports across the Physical Education and Sport (PES) and Sports and Motor Performance (SMP) programs. Soccer, basketball, and handball were the most popular among students. Comparative analysis of academic performance showed no significant differences between the groups in various assessments (p>0.05). The overall student feedback on the "Fundamentals of Biomechanics of Physical Activities and Sports" course was predominantly positive. Over 50% of the students rated it as very good. Areas for improvement in teaching methods were also identified to enhance the academic experience. Conclusions. This study highlights the effective integration of biomechanics within the Kinesiology discipline at the higher education level. Findings suggest that well-structured educational programs can enhance students' understanding and application of biomechanics. This contributes positively to their academic and professional development in sports sciences. Continuous curriculum assessment and refinement are crucial for maintaining the relevance and effectiveness of such programs.

Abstract Background Sub-Saharan Africa is unlikely to achieve sustainable development goal (SDG) 3 on maternal and neonatal health due to perceived sub-standard maternal and newborn care in the region. This paper sought to explore the opinions of stakeholders on intricacies dictating sub-standard emergency obstetric and newborn care (EmONC) in health facilities in Northern Ghana. Methods Drawing from a qualitative study design, data were obtained from six focus group discussions (FGDs) among 42 health care providers and 27 in-depth interviews with management members, clients and care takers duly guided by the principle of data saturation. Participants were purposively selected from basic and comprehensive level facilities. Data analysis followed Braun and Clarke’s qualitative thematic analysis procedure. Results Four themes and 13 sub-themes emerged as root drivers to sub-standard care. Specfically, the findings highlight centralisation of EmONC, inadequate funding, insufficient experiential training, delay in recruitment of newly trained essential staff and provider disinterest in profession. Conclusion Setbacks in the training and recruitment systems in Ghana, inadequate investment in rural health coupled with extent of health provider inherent disposition to practice may be partly responsible for sub-standard obstetric care in the study area. Interventions targeting the afore-mentioned areas may reduce events of sub-standard care.

IntroductionThe World Health Organization has identified vaccine hesitancy as a global public health challenge. Healthcare providers are among the most influential and trusted figures for vaccine counseling. This article focuses on COVID-19 and influenza personal immunization behaviors, vaccine knowledge and opinions, and vaccine counseling confidence among future healthcare providers – dental and medical students.MethodsA cross-sectional anonymous online survey was conducted at four dental schools and one allopathic medical school in the United States. Items included personal vaccination status for the COVID-19 and influenza vaccines and vaccine-specific items developed based on past research to assess knowledge, opinions, and behaviors.ResultsTwo hundred and thirty-two medical and 221 dental students completed the survey. 68 and 55% scored average/above-average knowledge on COVID-19 and influenza vaccine items, respectively. Statutory and by-law regulations determine the functioning of the primary school, and within this also define the way these premises are used. Within the framework of the project Designing guidelines for the quality design of modern school architecture with the aim of supporting a comprehensive sustainable way of living and working in school, an important goal is to establish opportunities for a movement-friendly school. The goal was to check the attitude of school leaders (with many years of experience) and the future professional sports public (without many years of experience) to the use of different school facilities for the realization of supporting physical activity. Questionnaires were filled out by 21 elementary school principals and 72 students in the third year of first-level studies and the first year of second-level studies at the Ljubljana Faculty of Sports. Both groups would make significantly better use of the existing spaces for physical activity, but in comparison, managements are more in favor of the occasional use of school spaces such as classrooms, corridors and multi-purpose halls, outdoor children's and outdoor sports grounds for sports activities; the managements estimate that there are not enough toilets, shower cubicles, hand basins in their schools, both found a lack of foot basins; students notice more that students do not shower after practice; a slightly smaller proportion of management would practice athletics, gymnastics, football and handball in gyms; the proportion of managers who would dedicate corridors and a multi-purpose hall to football in the future is higher, and the proportion of those who plan athletic content on the outdoor children's playground is lower.

Background and Study Aim. Despite the growing concern about sedentary behaviors among the youth, there has been limited focus on understanding their impact. These behaviors significantly affect students' physical potential, productivity, and overall health. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of sedentary lifestyles on students and to assess their awareness and attitudes towards these behaviors. Material and Methods. A mixed method of investigation was applied, combining preliminary quantitative research with a qualitative analysis of results. A total of 247 students were measured and tested: 122 males and 125 females, with an average age of 19.3±0.7. The anthropometric parameter focused on was body mass index. The physical test applied was the standing long jump. Students' responses from narrative essays were the basis of the qualitative analysis. The quantitative data collected through measurements and physical tests were directly compared to standards. Results. It was found that 24.5% of young men are overweight or obese. The performance of women in physical tests was lower than average, bordering on poor. Students provided their insights on these findings. Their narrative essays were qualitatively analyzed and synthesized, focusing on the reasons, consequences, and potential solutions related to this issue. Conclusions. This study adds evidence to the limited literature investigating university students' attitudes, opinions, and contexts that contribute to a decrease in their physical potential. The current generation of university students is unmotivated to consistently devote time and energy to physical activities. The comments and insights from students have provided potentially beneficial information for decision-makers in the domains of health education, overweight prevention, and physical activity promotion.

Background: Blood donation is crucial aspect of healthcare, ensuring steady supply of safe blood for medical treatments and emergencies. Understanding the beliefs, behaviors and opinions surrounding blood donation is essential for developing effective strategies to promote voluntary blood donation. This cross-sectional study aims to assess and analyze the factors influencing blood donation in Tumkur district of Karnataka, India. Methodology: A cross-sectional community-based study was conducted in Tumkur district over a period of six months. A total of 1000 subjects were included of age 18–65 years from different communities and socioeconomic backgrounds. The structured questionnaire was asked on demographics, knowledge, misunderstandings, previous donation history, willingness and decision-making variables. Results: The study found that while a majority (70%) of the participants were aware of the importance of blood donation, only small proportion (15%) had donated blood previously. Misconceptions and fear of needles were identified as key barriers to blood donation. Moreover, religious and cultural beliefs were observed to influence willingness to donate among certain communities. Younger age, higher education and positive experiences with blood donation drives were associated with an increased likelihood of future donation. Conclusion: Religious and cultural sensitivities should be taken into account when designing donation campaigns in specific communities. Engaging educational institutions and community organizations could play a pivotal role in promoting positive attitude towards blood donation among the youth. It is imperative for healthcare authorities to collaborate with local leaders and stakeholders to develop effective strategies for increasing voluntary blood donation rates in Tumkur district.

In this research, the opinions about family and values of public administration representatives were examined. Based on online questionnaires, the research sample included 428 civil servants and scientists from various ministries, faculties, schools, libraries, institutes, and municipalities. Opinions in the form of classified data for civil servants were converted into numerical data and presented in networks. It is possible to illustrate various scenarios about diverse types of decision-making processes, within which either feminine or masculine value emphases predominate. The present study has opened an interesting area of research on hierarchical associative networks of family and values. Researching such networks, whether they concern individuals, families, or diverse societies, could support us to improve various decision-making models. Hierarchical associative value networks will play a meaningful role in decision-making in a variety of ways and the upcoming development of the family. Future research could go in the direction of measuring and analyzing hierarchical associative networks of values in specific families and other social environments like within e.g., health, police, industry, military. This would provide an excellent insight into the mental concepts of people and across different social zones (e.g., migration zone, cultural zone, industrial zone, trade zone, government zone).

La mondialisation et les nouvelles technologies de la communication et de l’information imposent au siècle courant les interactions culturelles que la Constitution de la République Démocratique du Congo soutient à son article 30. En effet, le problème de préjugés inter-ethniques, parfois tenaces, ne date pas d’aujourd’hui d’autant plus qu’Allport (cité par Baudrit, 2005) s’en est inquiété déjà depuis 1954. Les opinions du personnel de l’Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire ; notamment celui de l’Institut Supérieur Pédagogique de Mbanza-Ngungu concerné par cette étude, ont révélé le manque de divergence en ce qui concerne les interactions culturelles pour les fonctions de commandement ; sauf au sujet des fonctions ayant trait à une partie des Directeurs de l’administration et surtout de Directeur Général de l’Institut.

A teacher should have an access to a reliable soring rubric in order to assess the ESL/ EFL (English as a Second Language/ English as a Foreign Language) students' writing abilities accurately. One of the most widely used tools for assessing writing skills of non-native speakers of English is Jacobs ESL Composition Profile which can help teachers tailor their instruction to better meet the needs of their students. The present study attempts to determine the internal consistency between teachers i.e. raters who use Jacob’s Scoring Rubric (SR) to evaluate students' essays, describe the level of students' writing performance as measured by the Jacob’s SR, and describe teachers' viewpoints while using the profile. The research utilizes descriptive quantitative research design. The participants consisted of two ESL/EFL teachers who have been teaching and testing writing at bachelor’s level for more than five years and 40 fourth year ESL/ EFL students studying at undergraduate level at Madhypaschim Multiple Campus, Nepalgunj Banke, Nepal. The researchers used judgmental sampling to select the participants of the study. The teachers were instructed to score 40 essays written by fourth-year students. The finding revealed High internal consistency (r = 0.86, α = 0.00 < 0.05) between TA and TB when assessing student essays using the Jacobs ESL Composition Profile. In addition, the Cronbach alpha analysis reveals a value of 0.918, which suggests a high degree of consistency. The writing performance of students was found to be in four categories: very good (3.75 %), good (52.5 %), satisfactory (36.5 %) and acceptable (7.5 %). The outcome of the research demonstrates that the Jacobs ESL Composition Profile remains reliable for essay scoring, even though proficiency and experience are necessary due to its comprehensive guidelines.

Shared market opinions and beliefs by market participants generate a set of constraints that mediate information through a not-so-unstable system of expected target prices. Price trajectories, within these sets of constraints, confirm or disprove the likelihood of participant expectations and cannot, de facto, be considered permutable, as literature has shown, since their inner structure is dynamically affected by their own progress, suggesting per se the presence of both heat and cycles. This study described and discussed how trajectories are built using different alphabets and suggests that prices follow an ergodic course within structurally similar tessellation classes. It is reported that the courses of price moves are self-similar due to their a priori structure, and they do not need to be complete in order to create the conditions, in resembling conditions, for the appearance of the well-known and commonly used Fibonacci ratios between price trajectories. To date, financial models and engineering are mostly based on the mathematics of randomness. If these theoretical findings need empirical validation, such a potential infrastructure of ratios would suggest the possibility for a superstructure to exist, in other words, the emergence of exploitable patterns.

On 26 April 2017, Mexico formally adopted the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda to link the national government to local governments, the private sector, civil society and academia. The restoration of heritage residential buildings (recovery programme) and the construction of new residential buildings aim to create a diversified environment for populations at different economic levels. However, the restoration programme faces conservation challenges. Given this context, this paper presents the results of in-depth, semi-structured interviews conducted with stakeholders in Mexico’s heritage and energy sectors. The duration of each interview was approximately two hours, with 52,372 total interview words. The paper identifies prevailing opinions regarding prioritising historical values, energy efficiency, historic buildings and users concerning Mexico City’s Historical Centre, a World Heritage Site needing a more appropriate sustainable development plan. Using grounded theory and thematic analysis, the interview data were analysed based on the interrelationship between thermal comfort, energy efficiency and heritage conservation changes over time. The results of this research will strengthen our understanding of the interventions and processes involved in managing and living in this World Heritage Site and its future impacts on buildings. The approach also underscores the importance of how stakeholders prioritise different values in making energy efficiency-promoting decisions and enhances awareness of the decision-making process and actions adopted by heritage building users. Thus, understanding the dynamic interrelationship between values, users and energy could improve the sustainable management of heritage sites and future development.

La présente étude présente les facteurs des échecs scolaires d’après les parents, les enseignants et les chefs d’établissement. L’analyse des différentes données recueillies renseigne que l’enfant est cité par toutes les catégories des personnes interrogées comme l’acteur principal de son échec. Outre l’enfant, les parents imputent une part importante des échecs scolaires à l’école notamment les enseignants et les gestionnaires des écoles. Les enseignants et les chefs d’établissement, quant à eux, considèrent les parents comme les principaux responsables des échecs de leurs enfants.

Introduction: Antibiotic resistance poses a significant threat to public health, that can lead to reduced effectiveness of many therapies, increased morbidity, longer hospitalization times, increased deaths, and additional costs for health care systems. Unreasonable use of antibiotics may result from a lack of adequate knowledge about antibiotic therapy and a lack of knowledge of the risks associated with antibiotic resistance, both among medical personnel and patients. Aim. The primary objective of the study was to verify the opinion of medical personnel on the risks associated with antibiotic resistance. Material and Methods: The study was conducted in 2023 among 605 Polish sanitary workers. An anonymous survey designed specifically for the purpose of the study was used. The survey was made available on the Internet through the Trade Unions of Pharmacy Workers and directly to hospitals with the support of local authorities. Results: The majority of respondents were women (77.36%). The largest group consisted of individuals over 40 years of age (55.04%). More than half of the respondents were nurses (56.20%), and every fourth of the respondents was a physician (23.64%). Most respondents consider antibiotic resistance to be a very serious (24.13%) or extremely serious (30.75%) problem. The problem of antibiotic resistance on a global scale was mentioned, especially in the opinions of physicians and nurses (p < 0.01), people working in the profession for over a year (p < 0.01), and people with a specialization or undergoing specialist training (p = 0.00). Similarly, these groups most often indicated that antibiotic resistance poses a problem in their workplace. The main problems of antibiotic resistance were the use of antibiotics in farm animals (36.69%), the pressure on patients to take antibiotics (38.84%), and the prophylactic use of antibiotics (43.15%). Conclusions: Medical personnel consider antibiotic resistance a somewhat serious problem, although not all agree in this regard. The risk of antibiotic resistance is much more seriously assessed by physicians and nurses, as well as by people with specializations or undergoing specialization training. Knowledge about antibiotic resistance should be further spread among all groups of medical personnel.

Properly managing unused medications is crucial to mitigate potential adverse effects on public health and the environment. This investigation aims to ascertain patients' perceptions and explore potential correlations between demographic variables and attitudes toward disposing of unused medications. The present study employed an analytical observational design utilizing a cross-sectional approach. A sample size of 96 patients was obtained using the Lameshow formula. The study employed a purposive sampling technique. The study population comprised individuals who fulfilled the eligibility criteria and sought medical attention at the Umbulharjo 1 public health center in March-June 2022. The research instrument was a data collection sheet. Data analysis was completed using the chi-square test. According to the respondents' views on new medication disposal practices, most patients (46.9%) returned unused medications to healthcare professionals. Gender and disposal practices are significantly correlated, such as keeping unused medication at home (p=0.002) and providing it to the patient’s family (p=0.049). Additionally, there is a strong association (p = 0.000) between educational background and the practice of keeping unused medications at home. According to this study’s findings, up to 45 individuals (46.9%) returned unused medications to healthcare providers. There is a correlation between gender, socioeconomic factors, educational background, and attitudes toward discarding unneeded medications.

The European Union's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) has been reformed several times since its launch in the early 1960s. It has evolved from a price support policy into a mechanism for supporting agricultural income and investment. At the same time, increasing concern has been given to environmental issues, in line with the paradigm of sustainable development. Part of this approach is the concern for the viability of family farms, including smallholder ones. The question that arises here is whether today's EU agricultural policy is really adapted to the needs of smallholder farms. The aim of this publication is to find an answer to the above question. Therefore, the study was conducted to assess the opinions of small family farms owners on the financial support within the EU common agricultural policy. Three European countries - Poland, Romania and Lithuania - were included in the analysis due to the relatively high share of small-scale farms. The research was organised in two stages. In the first, a synthetic measure of sustainability of smallholder farms was created among the holdings surveyed. The second stage included in-depth interviews with 20 – in each country - most sustainable farms. As a result, it was proved that financial support, especially in the form of the simplified direct payment, is necessary to ensure the viability of small farms, but the owners also expect greater price stability and equal conditions of competition within the food supply chain.

Research Question: How do accounting versus non-accounting Romanian students perceive the factors influencing the construction of the ethical self? Motivation: The answer is important in the context of accountants’ ethics being increasingly under scruity following corporate scandals. Probably because in Romania we do not have the same context, prior research on accounting ethics is scarce, so little is known about how various educational aspects impact skills and behavior. Idea: In this study we offer insights about the academic ethics education in Romania and discuss its complexity, usefulness and effectiveness. To this purpose, we involve the Romanian end-users of the academic accounting ethics education (the students) to ask for their perception regarding the role education plays in developing the ethical self. Data: We survey 413 students from five Romanian universities. Tools: We conduct descriptive statistics, cross-sectional analysis and regression analysis on the data from the survey and we mobilize an institutional-based theoretical framework (DiMaggio & Powell, 1983) to discuss the factors associated with the construction of the ethical self. Findings: Our results indicate that while all isomorphic pressures are present in the creation of the ethical self, the most important factors appear to be the coercive (from classes on ethics) and mimetic ones (resulting from the need to follow immediate proxies such as classmates, professors, and the profession), and to a lesser extent the normative ones. Contribution: Understanding students’ perception of their ethics education will help both academia and professional associations adapt their style of teaching ethics so that it becomes more effective and applicable to the users.

The content of the article is aimed at reducing the economic losses caused by the Aral Sea problem by further improving the specialization of agriculture, based on the potential of the Aral Sea region. At the same time, based on the share of agriculture in GDP, it is aimed at increasing the share of agriculture in economic growth, using the existing conditions wisely. Through the specialization of agriculture, we will be able to overcome the current problems by creating an integrated system that effectively uses the available resources in the country. These insights are based on scientific evidence and statistical observations. The priority of the practical work on the Aral Sea in our country will be to improve the living standards of the population through the efficient use of inefficient land. By building agricultural specialization with modern technologies, we will be able to effectively address important issues in the Aral Sea region. The measures taken in recent years also mean that the Aral Sea issue is one of our priorities at the national level.

Background and Study Aim. The study intends to estimate the theoretical and applied perspectives of the Kinesiology discipline in the field of Sport and Physical Education science. Material and Methods. A total number of 127 subjects (students of the Physical Education and Sport Department in the University of Pitești) participated in this research. There are 59 students in Physical Education and Sport (PES), 37 in Sport and Motor Performance (SMP) and 31 in Physical Education and Sport Conversion (PESC). The research was conducted during COVID-19 pandemic, in the academic year 2021-2022. The teaching and evaluation activity in the Kinesiology discipline was carried out online by means of Zoom program. The monitoring of the teaching activity was done with the help of the university e-learning platform. The opinions of the subjects on the discipline taught and the assessment of the teaching staff by the students were analyzed using Google Forms questionnaire. The fundamental basic knowledge in Kinesiology was evaluated using the following indicators: S1 (periodically evaluated activities) = A1 (40%) +A2 (20%), final evaluation (FE) – examination (40%), S2 – sum of the fractions of grade obtained at the periodic evaluations and those from the final verification. Results. The analysis of the subjects’ opinions regarding the topic of the discipline taught reveals 5% moderate opinions, 16% - good and 79% very good ones. The evaluation of the basic fundamental knowledge in Kinesiology highlights the following values of the indicators: A1 (40%) – an average of 8.05 points between groups (p0.05); S1 – an average of 4.81 points (p

Purpose. Microblogging sites are being used by people across the globe to share their opinions and to express sentiments for everything in real time. Through social listening, companies analyse the sentiments to assess the way forward, and the researchers use it to analyse the trend or an event and give forward-looking recommendations. The objective of the paper is to analyse the sentiments of people relating to Paytm IPO which can be used to predict the way forward. Design/methodology/approach. The study attempts sentiment analysis. For this purpose, QSR NVIVO 12, the qualitative analysis tool was used to retrieve the tweets from the Twitter website. NCapture was installed for this purpose. Post data cleaning, stemming, query augmentation and classification, the Twitter data was analysed. Findings. The sentiments around the IPO of Paytm have been negative and sarcastic. The extremely negative tweets were near twice the number of extremely positive tweets. Practical implication. The study can help an investor in evaluating the investment that they might be planning in the given company. For the company, whose IPO is being considered, an analysis of the sentiments around the IPO can help in taking corrective measures, if the sentiment is negative, towards reputation building. Originality/value. The study is an original contribution to the extant literature in the field of sentiment analysis.

Araştırmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmenlerinin akran zorbalığı hakkında ne derece bilgi sahibi oldukları, akran zorbalığı ile karşılaştıklarında nasıl müdahale ettikleri ve zorbalığın önlenmesine yönelik önerilerinin neler olduğunun tespitidir. İlkokul öğrencilerinin maruz kaldığı akran zorbalığı ve zorbalığa müdahale yöntemleri, öğrencilerin başta sosyal gelişimleri olmak üzere bilişsel gelişimleri açısından önemlidir. Akran zorbalığına seyirci kalmak ya da yanlış müdahalede bulunmak önlenemez sonuçlar doğurabilmektedir. Araştırma grubunu Afyonkarahisar, İscehisar ilçesinde görev yapan 23 (3. ve 4. sınıf) sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılan bu araştırmada, yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile araştırmacılar tarafından gruplandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin çoğunluğunun akran zorbalığını “Güç Kullanmak, Korkutmak” olarak tanımladıkları görülmüştür. Kurbanlara ilişkin gözlemlerine yönelik olarak “Özgüven Eksikliği, İçine Kapanıklık” şeklinde görüş belirtmişlerdir. Akran zorbalığına neden olarak ise öğretmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğu“ Ailenin tutumu, çevrenin etkisi” şeklinde beyanda bulunmuşlardır. Akran zorbalığı sorununun seminer ve eğitimle çözülebileceğini düşünen öğretmenlerin büyük bir bölümü sınıfında akran zorbalığı davranışı ile karşılaştıklarını belirtmişlerdir.

This article is based on some reports written by the french National Education, but also on the research carried out among teachers on the professional difficulties experienced in teaching emc (moral and civic education) in classes. Our hypothesis is that, beyond the issue of pedagogical implementation, this teaching stumbles on two major professional difficulties that can be approach together: the inability to identify the learning that is really targeted (particularly in terms of scientific knowledge) and the difficulty of a finding a professional posture of “neutrality” that would permit the transmission of the republican values while dealing with the political, cultural and religious diversity in the class. Based on the observation of a group of beginning teachers in training, this article seeks to make visible what hinders the teachers in their representation of the expected professional posture and in the didactic distinction between opinions, knowledge and values within the classroom.

In the last decade, we have witnessed a progressive increase in criticism of the Pope, the hierarchy, and the Roman Curia from within the Church itself. In this context of growing contestation and polarization, this paper addresses the legal-canonical admissibility of internal criticisms of the Church hierarchy. To this end, after first delimiting the concepts of criticism and hierarchy, the normative framework applicable to criticism is then described. This framework is essentially composed of canon 212 § 3 (which recognizes freedom of expression) and the canons 209 § 1, 212 § 1 and 223 § 1 (which establish the duties of communion and obedience). Then, the opportunities and dangers of internal criticism in the Church are analyzed. Finally, a series of criteria that may be useful for discerning the lawfulness of internal criticism in the Church is presented.

IntroductionAlthough certain psychedelic agents may soon gain federal approval for use in treating specific psychiatric conditions, the utilization of such therapies in clinical practice will depend largely on the attitudes of healthcare providers. Therefore, this study assesses the current attitudes, knowledge, exposure, and acceptance of psychedelics and psychedelic-assisted therapies amongst medical students.MethodsIn fall semester of 2022, surveys were emailed to 580 medical students attending medical institutions in the state of Nevada in the United States. Utilizing knowledge and attitude items from previously published studies, the survey collected demographic data and assessed student attitudes with five-point Likert-scale variables. Data was analyzed using summary statistics and Kruskal-Wallis tests for differences in mean survey scores (i.e., attitudes towards psychedelics) based on demographic factors.Results132 medical students participated in the survey (22.7% response rate). Medical students demonstrated overall positive attitudes towards psychedelics, lack of knowledge regarding psychedelics, and uncertainty towards neurocognitive risks of psychedelics. Overall, 78.6% of students agreed that psychedelics have therapeutic potential, while 95.2% agreed that psychedelics deserves further research in assessing this potential. Additionally, there was no statistically significant effect of demographic variables, including age, sex, and level of training, on attitudes.DiscussionAlthough students are overall curious and optimistic about psychedelics, they demonstrate a lack of knowledge regarding recent research efforts. As the field of psychiatry prepares to implement psychedelics and psychedelic-assisted therapies, education and awareness of such agents should be initiated early on in medical clinical training.

This paper discusses the current characteristics of the religiosity of young people in Slovakia based on data that were obtained in a survey as part of the research project “Perspectives of the Development of Religiosity in Slovakia”, carried out in 2017–2020. The data presented in the article pertain to several areas related to the religious lives of young people. Firstly, data on general changes in the respondents’ religiosity (such as a weakening or a strengthening) are presented, followed by data on the causes that the respondents consider having influenced these changes. Secondly, since many of the respondents claimed factors related to receiving a lot of information as such causes, the article presents data to determine to what extent the respondents paid attention to religious media in Slovakia (newspaper, radio, television, and websites). Lastly, we present the data on the respondents’ attitudes towards the moral acceptance of some themes that are religiously controversial or politically divisive in Slovak society today. We then discuss the indications that emerge from the data on the religiosity of young people in Slovakia today, overall concluding that there is often an occurrence among Slovak youth of claiming an affiliation to an official church/confession/religious institution while developing and acting on individual religious opinions or beliefs.

Aim: The majority of medicines used in Poland are generic drugs and substitutions of the originals. The objective of this study was to obtain information on the current knowledge about generic medicines among Polish patients with epilepsy. Material and Methods: The conducted study was based on a self-developed questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 26 questions, including the questions regarding the respondents’ knowledge about generics, their previous experience, and the factors behind these choices. Results: Overall, 1220 questionnaires were analyzed. Among all patients, 66.4% reportedly had heard about generics. Of these, 61.5% of patients had used generic drugs in the past. A significant proportion of participants had never been recommended to switch to a generic medicine by their healthcare professional (23% physicians and 13.9% pharmacists). Statistically, relevant differences were observed regarding the respondents’ kind and level of education, place of residence, and net income per household. Conclusions: Significant gaps were identified in the knowledge and perceptions among patients regarding generic medicines, especially in relation to their efficacy and safety. Efforts must be directed towards increasing public awareness of generic medicines and there should also be a focus on educating patients about generic medicines.

Abstract Background Ethiopia is a low-income country located in the horn of Africa’s sub-Saharan region, with very high incidences of maternal and neonatal mortality. Quality antenatal care improves perinatal health outcomes. The USAID funded Transform: Primary Health Care Activity in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and GE Healthcare introduced Vscan limited obstetric ultrasound services in 120 health centers in Ethiopia. So far, the experiences and opinions of midwives on their use have not been explored and described within the local context. This study therefore aims to explore and describe the experiences and opinions of midwives on Vscan limited obstetric ultrasound services at health centers within Ethiopia. Methods An exploratory and descriptive qualitative study was conducted in Amhara, Oromia, and Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ (SNNP) regions of Ethiopia. Twenty-four participants were selected through a purposeful sampling technique. In-depth individual interviews with trained midwives with practical hands-on limited obstetric ultrasound service provision experience were conducted. The thematic analysis was conducted manually. Results The qualitative data analysis on the experiences and opinions of midwives revealed three themes, namely: individual perception of self-efficacy, facilitators, and barriers of limited obstetric ultrasound services. The basic ultrasound training, which was unique in its organization and arrangement, prepared and built the self-efficacy of trainees in executing their expected competencies. Support of health systems and health managers in dedicating space, availing essential supplies, and assigning human resources emerged as facilitators of the initiated limited obstetric ultrasound services, whereas high workload on one or two ultrasound trained midwives, interruption of essential supplies like paper towels, gel, and alternative power sources were identified as barriers for limited ultrasound services. Conclusion This study explored the experiences and opinions of midwives who were trained on the provision of limited obstetric ultrasound services and served the community in health centers in rural parts of Ethiopia. The results of this study revealed the positive impacts of the intervention on the perceived self-efficacy, facilitation, and breaking-down of barriers to obstetric ultrasound services. Before scaling-up limited obstetric ultrasound interventions, health managers should ensure and commit to availing essential supplies (e.g., paper towels, ultrasound gel, and large memory hard discs), arranging private rooms, and training other mid-level health professionals. In addition, improving pregnant women’s literacy on the national schedule for ultrasound scanning services is recommended.

An online questionnaire explored opinions about the ophthalmology course regarding three dimensions. Firstly, adequacy in covering essential parts of the specialty; secondly, improvements required; and thirdly, effectiveness. A score (0– 21) was calculated, indicating the overall suitability of the ophthalmology course. In addition, factors of good overall suitability (score ≥ 10) were analyzed.Results: Regarding adequacy, respondents opined that the ophthalmology course did not reasonably cover the basic part (35.8%), clinical part (61.3%), common disease (26.4%), and emergencies (39.6%). Concerning improvements required, more than 80% of the participants expressed that the course required to be improved for all its features, including duration (80.2%), objectives (85.8%), content (82.1%), organization (83.0%), and supervision (81.1%). As to effectiveness, half of them deemed the course unhelpful in familiarizing general practitioners with common ophthalmic diseases and emergencies. Overall, the ophthalmology course was generally deemed suitable (score ≥ 10) for only 27.4% of the participants, with no differences across gender, level, or region.Conclusion: Ophthalmology residents perceived multiple deficits in the current Saudi ophthalmology teaching course. Towards the end of fragment 1 of his Poem, Parmenides puts forward two methods or paths that a priori explain the same object of study: the existence of the fact or state of being. One of the options leads to the core of the truth and is, therefore, pursued. The other is merely a set of contradictory opinions and is, accordingly, abandoned. These two paths are expounded in the rest of the Poem, while fragment 4 shows that even the erroneous conception, which had to be set aside, can still be fruitful. Once the firm foundation of truth has been established, fragments 10 and 11 propose to widen the inquiry to the whole of reality. This interpretation suggests a rejection of the arrangement of the Poem that has become canonical, and a criticism of the doxographic tradition that since Aristotle has “Platonised” the philosophy of Parmenides by assimilating the “opinions” (which are only points of view) to the “appearances” (in the Platonic sense of the term).

Introduction. Research focused on listening and understanding public attitudes towards farm animal welfare is proliferating globally. Objective. To determine how consumers in Colombia perceive the welfare of farm animals and socio-demographic factors associated with such perceptions. Materials and methods. A descriptive and analytical epidemiological study was done through the implementation of a cross-sectional national online survey, conducted from September to October-2021, to obtain information on the knowledge and attitudes of consumers (≥18 years) in Colombia regarding farm animal welfare, as well as socio-demographic characteristics (sex, age, education, occupation, location, growing-up environment, level of contact with livestock farms, and diet). Logistic and multinomial logistic regression models were used to evaluate associations of demographic factors with the level of importance given to animal welfare (AW), perceptions about needs, behavior, and sentience in farm animals, and perceptions about the state and promotion of AW in Colombia. Results. Responses from 798 participants were included in the analysis, 85.57 % saw AW as a concept that refers to how to treat animals and improve their quality of life. The level of importance given to AW was 9.78±0.85 (scale from 0 to 10) and was associated with words such as health, food, caring, respect, and comfort. Sex, age, education, level of contact with a farm, and growing-up in rural areas significantly influenced the opinions regarding the concept of AW and the promotion of farm animal welfare in Colombia. Conclusion. The participants showed concern about farm animal welfare. The differences found associated with the different socio-demographic factors can be used as a basis for formulating education and empowerment strategies that help modulate changes in the way animals are seen, and what welfare means and what it implies.

Background: Nurse training in South Africa requires placing learner nurses in real-life setting for them to gain practical experience. To complete their training and be competent practitioners, learner nurses must have expectations and aspirations when they go for practice. Aim: This study sought to understand learner nurses’ expectations at clinical learning areas during placement. Setting: Four clinical learning areas in the Limpopo province were purposely sampled. Tertiary, regional and district hospitals were sampled to obtain information from different levels of care. Methods: A qualitative, descriptive and contextual design was used to explore the expectations of learner nurses during clinical placements. Permission to conduct the study was obtained from various bodies and ethical considerations were ensured. Nonprobability purposive sampling was used, and six focus groups were formed. Each focus group discussion (FGD) had six to eight participants. The FGDs were according to level of study, with the third and fourth levels each having two FGDs because of the number of participants. Results: The following three themes emerged: milieu in the clinical learning areas, learning in the clinical areas and self-actualisation. Conclusion: The clinical learning areas are institutions of promoting learning through practice. They should promote learning and offer support to learners so that learners meet their expectations, which may prevent discouragement and attrition. Contribution: This study adds to the body of knowledge in nursing education and practice because when students’ expectations are met, their training outcome might be positive leading to competent professional nurses.

Even though COVID-19 vaccine has been proved effective, vaccine uptake and coverage has been and still is a great concern across different immigrant groups. Vaccine hesitancy remains a barrier to accept the vaccine among immigrants across the globe—including Norway—despite higher rates of hospitalizations and deaths. This study aimed to explore the opinions and suggestions of immigrants on how to lower the COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among immigrants in Norway. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 88 persons with different immigrant background. Data was analyzed using framework analysis, utilizing “3Cs model of vaccine hesitancy” as a theoretical framework. The analysis yielded five main themes related to factors that may lower the vaccine hesitancy among immigrants in Norway: (1) Effective cultural communication, (2) Vaccine advocacy through community engagement, (3) Motivating factors, (4) Collaborative efforts via government and healthcare, and (5) Incentives for vaccination. This study enhanced our understanding of factors that according to immigrants themselves may lower the vaccine hesitancy. The insights obtained in this study can contribute to a better understanding of the current status of vaccine uptake among immigrants and can further give directions on how to improve vaccine uptake in these groups in Norway.

Italy was the first country in Europe to make vaccination against COVID-19 mandatory for healthcare professionals by imposing restrictions in cases of non-compliance. This study investigates the opinions of the Italian healthcare professionals' categories affected by the regulation. We performed a qualitative online survey: the questionnaire comprised both close- and open-ended questions. The final dataset included n = 4,677 valid responses. Responses to closed-ended questions were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The framework method was applied for analyzing the open-ended questions. The sample spanned all health professions subject to compulsory vaccination, with a prevalence of physicians (43.8%) and nurses (26.3%). The vaccine adhesion before the introduction of the obligation was substantial. 10.4% declared not to have adhered to the vaccination proposal. Thirty-five percent of HPs who opted not to get vaccinated said they experienced consequences related to their choice. The trust in the vaccine seems slightly cracked, demonstrating overall vaccine confidence among professionals. Nonetheless, our results show that whether (or not) professionals adhere to vaccination is not a reliable indicator of consent to how it was achieved. There are criticisms about the lawfulness of the obligation. The data show a great variety of participants interpreting their roles concerning public and individual ethics. The scientific evidence motivates ethics-related decisions—the epidemic of confusing and incorrect information affected professionals. The Law triggered an increased disaffection with the health system and conflicts between professionals. Dealing with the working climate should be a commitment to assume soon.

The study aims to investigate the ways of spending free time for a group of 180 students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in Galati (years 1, 2 and 3 of cycle 1 / bachelor’s degree studies, with an average age of 22.34 ± 5.79 years.), by using a questionnaire-based survey, structured on 4 distinct factors: leisure time budget, causes limiting leisure time, favorite leisure activities and leisure sports activities. The purpose of the research is to determine the perception of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports on how to spend free time and determine differences of opinion, depending on BMI / body mass index, by dividing them into 3 groups (underweight, normal weight or overweight). Objective:The objective of this study is to determine the purposes of social media use of students in the health sciences department, their opinions on the use of social networks in education, and integrating social networks into their education.Method:This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of 1568 students in the Health Sciences Department of Eastern Mediterranean University. The study sample consisted of 309 students. Data were collected between February 2016 and March 2016.Results:The students were using social network sites the most for cooperation (13.47 ± 6.38) and the least for meeting people (3.63 ± 2.47). In the subdimensions of the Usage Purposes Scale of Social Networking Sites, statistically significant differences was found in meeting people based on gender (p = .010), meeting people based on age (p = .019), entertainment (p = .002), communication (p = .014). When asked about their opinion on integrating social networks into their education, 83.8% reported that social networks should be integrated into the education system.Conclusion:The study found that the students of health sciences use social network sites the most to meet people and the least to communicate. The study also found that the students expect social networks to help them share information-source and help them in group/team work and the students believe that integration of social networks into university education could be useful.

The research is focused on the problems of legal regulation of spreading opinions and beliefs through TV broadcasting. The scientific novelty of the research consists of the provisions on the need to amend the legislation on establishing the procedure for inspection and monitoring of television organizations by the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting. The author has studied legislative acts regulating the activity of mass media and works of scholars, where the peculiarities of the legal status of television organizations are covered. It has been stated that the constitutional right to free expression of one’s opinions and beliefs can be exercised through TV broadcasting. The legal basis for the activities of television organizations has been determined. The legal principles for the activities of journalists of television organizations have been clarified. Forms of disseminating one’s own views through television have been established. It has been emphasized that the creation of one’s own television organization by a citizen or a legal entity is the first way to spread opinions and beliefs. The participation of well-known politicians or public figures in television programs has been recognized as a separate form of disseminating the relevant concepts to a wide audience. At the same time, broadcasting an interview given by a well-known public or political figure to the TV channel’s journalists is an important method of disseminating the relevant information. Legal restrictions on the dissemination of certain information by television have been defined. It has been stated that the right to information may be limited by law in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public morality. The general characteristics of monitoring and supervisory powers of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting have been provided. The author has formulated propositions for amending the current legislation regulating the activities of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Abstract Aim To explore nurses' opinions regarding restraint measures and attitudes towards physical restraints use in nursing homes. Design Cross‐sectional study. Methods Nursing staff of 33 Portuguese nursing homes was asked to complete the Portuguese version of the Maastricht Attitude Questionnaire (MAQ), an instrument on attitudes regarding physical restraints (reasons, consequences and appropriateness of restraint use) and opinions about restraint measures (restrictiveness and discomfort). Descriptive statistics and bivariate analysis were performed. Results Data from 186 nurses were included in the analysis. Overall, nurses expressed neutral to moderately positive attitudes towards physical restraints usage. Nurses with longer professional experience reported a more positive attitude regarding the appropriateness of restraint use in their clinical practice. Wrist and ankle restraints were the measures that nurses reported feeling most uncomfortable using, and the most restrictive. Bilateral bedrails were globally assessed as a slightly restrictive measure and nurses reported not feeling uncomfortable using them.

The research is focused on the problems of legal regulation of expressing opinions and beliefs in print media. The scientific novelty of the research constitutes propositions on supplementing the Law of Ukraine “On Print Mass Media (Press) in Ukraine” with a new norm that would regulate the work of electronic pages of the print media. The constitutional right to free expression of opinions and beliefs can be exercised by disseminating certain concepts in the media. Ways of expressing one’s own opinions and concepts in the press have been determined. It has been stated that a public organization or a political party can spread own opinions by creating own printed publication. An interview with a well-known public figure or politician in order to publish the text of a conversation in the press is also one of the ways to spread one’s own worldview. Another form of expression of one’s beliefs is the publication of an article prepared by a public or political organization, a well-known person in a newspaper or magazine. The author has provided characteristics of the procedure for the foundation of the printed edition. Features of the legal status and activities of journalists to collect information about the opinions and beliefs of well-known people are also reflected in the work. The legal principles for the relationship between journalists, media owners and public figures in order to spread opinions and beliefs have been clarified. The problems of legal regulation of placement of printed mass media materials on the Internet have been outlined. The author has analyzed propositions of scholars on legal regulation of disseminating information on the Internet. Suggestions on amending the legislation regulating the activities of print media on the placement of press materials on the Internet have been formulated.

BackgroundThe Canada's Food Guide (CFG) is recognized as the most prominent authoritative guideline for healthy eating in Canada. In 2019, Health Canada released the latest iteration of the CFG with substantial changes to its messaging and format from the previous 2007 CFG.ObjectiveThis study compared the awareness, use, knowledge, and opinions of the 2007 and 2019 CFGs among parents with children aged 18 months to 5 years who are participants in a family-based intervention trial, the Guelph Family Health Study.MethodsThe sample consisted of 327 parents (59% women) who responded to questions about the 2007 CFG and 177 parents (60% women) who responded to questions about the 2019 CFG. Parents' awareness and knowledge of the 2007 and 2019 CFGs were compared using Pearson's Chi-Square, while parents' opinions of the two CFGs were compared using Wilcoxon Rank-Sum tests. To describe and provide context about how parents used the 2007 and 2019 CFG descriptive analysis was used. To analyze the open-answer comments parents provided for the 2007 and 2019 CFGs thematic coding was used.ResultsAwareness of the 2007 and 2019 CFGs was high with 94.5 and 90.4% of parents reported having heard about the 2007 and 2019 CFGs, respectively. Knowledge of the plate proportion recommendations in the 2019 CFG was significantly higher than knowledge of the recommended number of servings in the 2007 CFG with 93.4% of parents identifying the Vegetable and Fruit Plate Proportions in the 2019 CFG. Parents identified that the 2019 CFG was a helpful and trustworthy resource, and that it was easier to follow and understand, and more representative of their culture and traditional foods than the 2007 CFG.ConclusionOur results suggest that parents' knowledge of the 2019 CFG recommendations was higher than for the 2007 CFG recommendations. Parents also had more positive opinions about the 2019 CFG as compared to the 2007 CFG. Future research is needed to explore whether these higher levels knowledge of the 2019 CFG recommendation translate to healthier eating patterns among Canadian families.

Background and Objective: The role of the pharmacist in healthcare society is unique, since they are providers of health information and medication counseling to patients. Hence, this study aimed to evaluate Awareness, Perceptions, and Opinions towards Artificial intelligence (AI) among pharmacy undergraduate students at King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study was conducted between December 2022 and January 2023 using online questionnaires. The data collection was carried out using convenience sampling methods among senior pharmacy students at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 26 was used to analyze the data (SPSS). Results: A total of one hundred and fifty-seven pharmacy students completed the questionnaires. Of these, most of them (n = 118; 75.2%) were males. About 42%, (n = 65) were in their fourth year of study. Most of the students (n = 116; 73.9%) knew about AI. In addition, 69.4% (n = 109) of the students thought that AI is a tool that helps healthcare professionals (HCP). However, more than half 57.3% (n = 90) of the students were aware that AI would assist healthcare professionals in becoming better with the widespread use of AI. Furthermore, 75.1% of the students agreed that AI reduces errors in medical practice. The mean positive perception score was 29.8 (SD = 9.63; range-0–38). The mean score was significantly associated with age (p = 0.030), year of study (p = 0.040), and nationality (p = 0.013). The gender of the participants was found to have no significant association with the mean positive perception score (p = 0.916). Conclusions: Overall, pharmacy students showed good awareness of AI in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the majority of the students had positive perceptions about the concepts, benefits, and implementation of AI. Moreover, most students indicated that there is a need for more education and training in the field of AI. Consequently, early exposure to content related to AI in the curriculum of pharmacy is an important step to help in the wide use of these technologies in the graduates’ future careers.

There are situations in which the judicial bodies need the opinion of an expert in order to ascertain, clarify or assess facts or circumstances that are important for finding out the truth. Forensic expert examinations fall into a specific category relative to other types of examinations as they can be carried out only by forensic medical institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Health. The supreme scientific authority in the field of forensic medicine is the Higher Forensic Medical Board attached to the “Mina Minovici” Forensic Medicine Institute in Bucharest. The mission of this board is to verify, assess, analyse and endorse from a scientific point of view, upon the request of judicial bodies, the contents and conclusions of various forensic medical documents performed by other subordinate public institutions, authorised by law to carry out fact-finding and expert examinations. This article aims at clarifying the probative value in criminal proceedings of the opinions issued by this supreme authority, because there have been and are situations in judicial practice in which higher probative value has been rendered to such opinions, as well as situations in which its conclusions have been disregarded in a reasoned manner.

Qualitative semi-structured interviews of participants were carried out by pharmacist coaches at baseline, one month, and at three months post-study completion. The pharmacist health coaches were also interviewed. Participant and pharmacist audio-recorded interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed thematically.Results: Twenty participants with poorly controlled hypertension received health coaching. Analysis of the transcripts from participant interviews indicated the emergence of three main themes “beliefs about and management of hypertension”, “reflection on health goals” and “understanding of and experiences from health coaching”. Only one theme emerged from the pharmacist interviews: “logistics of health coaching in pharmacy”.Conclusion: Analysis of interviews showed that participants experienced a variety of positive health changes. Changes included a better understanding of health coaching, more realistic beliefs about hypertension, and improved management of hypertension and health goals. Participants were also positive about their experiences of coaching. Interviews with the pharmacists revealed factors such as planning, teamwork, and time management which are related to the implementation and provision of health coaching in community pharmacy practice which could be overcome through consideration and planning.Keywords: attitudes, opinions, behavior change, hypertension

Background: Suicide, commonly defined as “an act of self-destruction, initiated and committed by a person who is aware of the fatal outcome and has substantial socioeconomic and cultural influences. The current suicide rate in India is 10.6/100,000 population. Doctors play an active part in the treatment and prevention of patients with suicide attempts, and their therapeutic endeavors may interrupt the ongoing suicidal process. The aims and objectives of this study were to assess the Opinions and Attitudes of the postgraduates of the various clinical departments towards suicide and to find out for any differences among postgraduates of Surgical and Medical groups who manage the consequences of the chosen methods of the suicidal attempts of the patients. Postgraduates of psychiatry were not included. Materials and Methods: It was a cross-sectional study done on various nonpsychiatric postgraduates between October and November 2019 in R L Jalappa Hospital, a constituent unit of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, who are assessed using structured and validated instruments, the Suicide Opinion Questionnaire, and Attitudes to Suicide Prevention Scale. Results: The majority of both the Surgical and allied science groups with the Medicine and allied science group nonpsychiatric postgraduates had a negative disposition towards suicide attempters and negative attitudes towards suicide prevention strategies and there was no statistical difference among them. Conclusion: There must be training for non-psychiatric specialists towards suicide regularly and change in their respective PG training curriculum towards the approach of patients with self-injurious behaviors.

The coronavirus crisis has affected all countries and has changed the daily lives of millions of people, including teachers and learners around the world. They have been hit hard by this crisis and have undergone changes in their teaching / learning practices. In this work, we will try to question the representations and opinions of a group of students from the ENSB (L'École Normale Supérieure de Bouzaréah) in Algiers while they are still experiencing these upheavals because we think that these representations will have an influence on their current and future practices. Our goal is to collect their perceptions of online and distance education during confinement, and to learn about the teaching practices that they believe have helped or hindered their learning. We will also try to see if these perceptions influence their intention to use ICT in their future practice as teachers.

• The mind and intelligence games can be used as an effective instrument for teaching some skills included in the social studies curriculum such as historical empathy, thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. • Teacher candidates were both excited and concerned about using mind and intelligence games for social studies education. • To increase the professional self-confidence of social studies teachers, in-service teacher training can be enriched with workshop activities on mind game training and practices. Purpose: The study aims at analyzing teacher candidates’ experience and views about the use of mind and intelligence games in social studies courses. Design/methodology/approach: The basic qualitative design was used in this paper. Data were obtained during the 2016-2017 academic year from 12 4th year college students studying social studies teacher education in a university located in Turkey. A two-week (16 hours) workshop program on 21 different mind and intelligence games of different genres was given to the teacher candidates. Dataset were analyzed regarding the usability of mind and intelligence games in social studies education. Findings: The obtained results showed that although mind and intelligence games offer important contributions to teaching social studies, there may be some difficulties. Practical implications: University administrators may organise in-service training programs for instructors on mind and intelligence games as implementing them in courses may increase learner satisfaction and contribute to a more positive classroom environment.

Irrational Self-Medication (SM) practice leads to incorrect diagnosis and is a risk factor for disease exacerbation and serious health consequences. Hence Responsible SM is vital for better health outcomes. In the present community-based study we explored the SM practice during the last 3 months, frequency, outcome, medications used, reasons influencing SM, source of the drug, and information. Data were analyzed using SPSS; chi-square test was performed to indicate significance, Odds ratio, Pearson correlation, univariant and multivariant regression analysis were performed to find out factors and predictors of SM. A total of 611 residents completed the survey. SM was practiced by 52.9% of participants during the last 3 months, with a frequency of one to two times. Headache (64.8%), pain (35.4%), fever/flu (31.4%), cold & cough (21.9%) and dysmenorrhea (20.9%) were illnesses managed using pain killers (75.9%), multivitamins (25.5%), anti-pyretic (24.7%) and herbal medicines (18.5%). Minor illness (67.9%), earlier experience (33.9%) and shortness of time to attend healthcare facilities (18.8%) were the reasons for practicing SM. Distance to healthcare and routine physical activity have significantly influenced the SM practice. Residents stated that inappropriate SM would lead to negative outcomes, including drug side effects (70%), Interaction (34.2%), poor treatment outcome (32.6%) and return of symptoms (26.5%). Interestingly, two-thirds of participants (68.9%) have recommended SM in case of minor illnesses only, 85.3% of respondents have expressed their desire to learn more about appropriate SM, and 76.6% are willing to return their leftover or unused medications to drug take-back centers.

The lack of science on the Spanish TV is explained through the people responsible for content production, scheduling and offer. Two focus groups made up of five decision-makers identified the professionals’ opinions: science on TV is needed, the function of televisual science is educating audiences, public channels are responsible for showing such contents, government should urge scientific programming, science on TV contributes in increasing the cultural level of audiences, and people holding power positions are not interested in improving society´s level of literacy. Later, the generality of those opinions was measured through a questionnaire applied to 450 TV managers. A latent profile statistical analysis showed that individual characteristics of professionals (i.e., gender, age, educational level) do not play a role in shaping their opinions but work related (i.e., area of coverage, TV ownership) do.

Background: Medical marijuana was legalized in Poland in 2017. Cannabinoids contained in marijuana can play a big role in the treatment of pain. The right to pain treatment is especially needed for palliative patients, as it ensures them dying in dignity and peace. With the growing occurrence of medical marijuana in the treatment of patients, future pharmacists should acquire the necessary knowledge on this topic during their studies. Pharmacists have a legal obligation to provide information on prescription medicinal products containing cannabis, including storage and use of the medicinal product dispensed, as well as precautions related to the medicinal product dispensed. Aim of the study: The study looked for answers to questions about the level of pharmacy students’ knowledge concerning medical marijuana and relationship between the year of study and level of knowledge. On the basis of a medical prescription, pharmacists make prescription drugs containing medicinal hemp in pharmacies. Materials and methods: The survey study was conducted from February 25 to April 19. The studied group consisted of 132 pharmacy students from all Pharmaceutical Departments in Poland. The form contained 16 questions. Most of these questions were disjunctive and in several of them the Likert scale was used again. Results: The results of the study indicate that pharmacy students rate their knowledge of medical marijuana very low. Students do not know the indications for medical cannabis use or its side effects. The study sought to find out if there was a need for additional education for students about medical marijuana. No correlation was found between the year of study and the knowledge of pharmacy students. Conslusions: Education about endocannabinoid system in the course of pharmacy studies is negligible, therefore there is an increased need to include this topic in the pharmaceutical study program. Regardless of the year of study, the level of pharmacy students' knowledge about indications, side effects or how to take medical marijuana is low and they need additional education in this field
