The issue of integrating blogging practices into children’s television programs is considered as one of the factors for popularizing the latter among the younger generation. It is noted that children prefer entertaining online resources. It is shown that parents are concerned about their children’s immersion in the virtual sphere, the difficulty of controlling the information received, and the influence of popular bloggers on shaping children’s worldview. It is pointed out that resources for children under 13 are widely available on the Internet and television, while there are no such specialized resources for teenagers, particularly on central television. Meanwhile, the government has adopted a program document for the development of education for children and adolescents, in which a television channel for the latter could provide certain assistance. The author of the article proposes a working concept for a children’s television channel for teenagers, which integrates blogging practices. It is concluded that the synthesis of educational, developmental, and entertainment functions, involving child bloggers and the target audience in program development and hosting, organizing active feedback with the audience, and other factors will contribute to the channel’s success, provided there is government interest.

The sudden shift from traditional face-to-face classes to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has created a need to understand how well online learning is crucial and being accepted, particularly in developing countries. The Internet has enabled international communication and interaction, removing distance and space barriers between Lecturers and students. In some higher education institutions, technology has been gradually integrated into their teaching methods, utilising Learning Management Systems (LMS). This study aims to assess the factors that influence students' intention and use behaviour of online resources using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The results show that effort expectancy positively influences students’ behavioural intention to use online learning platforms such as Moodle, but facilitating conditions, performance expectancy, and social influence do not. Finally, results in this study also show that students’ behavioural intention positively influences students’ user behaviour to use the online learning platform. This study suggests that decision-makers should recommend and implement policies to address the challenges students learning from home might face during pandemics to ensure they can continue their education without unnecessary obstacles. This is particularly important in countries like Eswatini, where the cost of internet connectivity is high.

Abstract Genomic methods are becoming increasingly valuable and established in ecological research, particularly in nonmodel species. Supporting their progress and adoption requires investment in resources that promote (i) reproducibility of genomic analyses, (ii) accessibility of learning tools and (iii) keeping pace with rapidly developing methods and principles. We introduce marineomics.io, an open‐source, living document to disseminate tutorials, reproducibility tools and best principles for ecological genomic research in marine and nonmodel systems. The website's existing content spans population and functional genomics, including current recommendations for whole‐genome sequencing, RAD‐seq, Pool‐seq and RNA‐seq. With the goal to facilitate the development of new, similar resources, we describe our process for aggregating and synthesizing methodological principles from the ecological genomics community to inform website content. We also detail steps for authorship and submission of new website content, as well as protocols for providing feedback and topic requests from the community. These web resources were constructed with guidance for doing rigorous, reproducible science. Collaboration and contributions to the website are encouraged from scientists of all skill sets and levels of expertise.

Abstract Background Behavioural support via mobile health (mHealth) is emerging. This study aimed to assess the feasibility, acceptability, cost, and potential effect on weight of a mHealth follow-up program in bariatric surgery. Methods This was a non-randomised feasibility study describing intervention development and proof in the concept of a mHealth follow-up program in bariatric surgery. The study compares a prospective cohort with a historical control group and was conducted in a tertiary bariatric surgery service in Australia. The intervention group included individuals who had bariatric surgery (2019–2021) and owned a smart device, and the historical control group received usual postoperative care (2018). The intervention involved usual care plus codesigned biweekly text messages, monthly email newsletters, and online resources/videos over a 6-month period. The primary outcome measures included feasibility (via recruitment and retention rate), acceptability (via mixed methods), marginal costs, and weight 12 months postoperatively. Quantitative analysis was performed, including descriptive statistics and inferential and regression analysis. Multivariate linear regression and mixed-effects models were undertaken to test the potential intervention effect. Qualitative analysis was performed using inductive content analysis. Results The study included 176 participants (n = 129 historical control, n = 47 intervention group; mean age 56 years). Of the 50 eligible patients, 48 consented to participate (96% recruitment rate). One participant opted out of the mHealth program entirely without disclosing their reason (98% retention rate). The survey response rate was low (n = 16/47, 34%). Participants agreed/strongly agreed that text messages supported new behaviours (n = 13/15, 87%); however, few agreed/strongly agreed that the messages motivated goal setting and self-monitoring (n = 8/15, 53%), dietary change (n = 6/15, 40%), or physical activity (n = 5/15, 33%). Interviews generated four main themes (n = 12): ‘motivators and expectations’, ‘preferences and relevance’, ‘reinforced information”, and ‘wanting social support’. The intervention reinforced information, email newsletters were lengthy/challenging to read, and text messages were favoured, yet tailoring was recommended. The intervention cost AUD 11.04 per person. The mean 12-month weight was 86 ± 16 kg and 90 ± 16 kg (intervention and historical control) with no statistically significant difference. Intervention recipients enrolled at 3 months postoperatively demonstrated a statistically significant difference in 12-month weight (p = 0.014). Conclusion Although this study observed high rates of recruitment and retention, findings should be considered with caution as mHealth may have been embraced more by the intervention cohort as a result of the 2019 coronavirus pandemic. Of the various digital strategies developed and tested, the text message approach was the most acceptable; however, future intervention iterations could be strengthened through tailoring information when possible. The use of email newsletters and online resources/videos requires further testing of effectiveness to determine their value for continued use in bariatric surgery services.

To build biophysically detailed models of brain cells, circuits, and regions, a data-driven approach is increasingly being adopted. This helps to obtain a simulated activity that reproduces the experimentally recorded neural dynamics as faithfully as possible, and to turn the model into a useful framework for making predictions based on the principles governing the nature of neural cells. In such a context, the access to existing neural models and data outstandingly facilitates the work of computational neuroscientists and fosters its novelty, as the scientific community grows wider and neural models progressively increase in type, size, and number. Nonetheless, even when accessibility is guaranteed, data and models are rarely reused since it is difficult to retrieve, extract and/or understand relevant information and scientists are often required to download and modify individual files, perform neural data analysis, optimize model parameters, and run simulations, on their own and with their own resources. While focusing on the construction of biophysically and morphologically accurate models of hippocampal cells, we have created an online resource, the Build section of the Hippocampus Hub -a scientific portal for research on the hippocampus- that gathers data and models from different online open repositories and allows their collection as the first step of a single cell model building workflow. Interoperability of tools and data is the key feature of the work we are presenting. Through a simple click-and-collect procedure, like filling the shopping cart of an online store, researchers can intuitively select the files of interest (i.e., electrophysiological recordings, neural morphology, and model components), and get started with the construction of a data-driven hippocampal neuron model. Such a workflow importantly includes a model optimization process, which leverages high performance computing resources transparently granted to the users, and a framework for running simulations of the optimized model, both available through the EBRAINS Hodgkin-Huxley Neuron Builder online tool.

In the age of the internet, technology has ingrained itself into every area of our lives and society, including education. Technology’s influence on education has changed drastically, especially in the area of mathematics, since it continues to advance at a rapid rate. It greatly contributes to the promotion of student achievement. This article explores the many facets of technology’s influence in mathematics education and shows how changes in technology have completely changed how math is taught and studied.

Nowadays, e-learning and web-based learning are the most integrated new learning methods in schools, colleges, and higher educational institutions. The recent web-search-based learning methodological approach has helped online users (learners) to search for the required topics from the available online resources. The learners extracted knowledge from textual, video, and image formats through web searching. This research analyzes the learner’s significant attention to searching for the required information online and develops a new recommendation system using machine learning (ML) to perform the web searching. The learner’s navigation and eye movements are recorded using sensors. The proposed model automatically analyzes the learners’ interests while performing online searches and the origin of the acquired and learned information. The ML model maps the text and video contents and obtains a better recommendation. The proposed model analyzes and tracks online resource usage and comprises the following steps: information logging, information processing, and word mapping operations. The learner’s knowledge of the captured online resources using the sensors is analyzed to enhance the response time, selectivity, and sensitivity. On average, the learners spent more hours accessing the video and the textual information and fewer hours accessing the images. The percentage of participants addressing the two different subject quizzes, Q1 and Q2, increased when the learners attempted the quiz after the web search; 43.67% of the learners addressed the quiz Q1 before completing the web search, and 75.92% addressed the quiz Q2 after the web search. The average word counts analysis corresponding to text, videos, overlapping text or video, and comprehensive resources indicates that the proposed model can also apply for a continuous multi sessions online search learning environment. The experimental analysis indicates that better measures are obtained for the proposed recommender using sensors and ML compared with other methods in terms of recall, ranking score, and precision. The proposed model achieves a precision of 27% when the recommendation size becomes 100. The root mean square error (RMSE) lies between 8% and 16% when the number of learners < 500, and the maximum value of RMSE is 21% when the number of learners reaches 1500. The proposed recommendation model achieves better results than the state-of-the-art methods.

The article dwells upon massive open online courses in the professional self-education of health policy makers in the system of continuous training.

Background: Limited understanding exists about the development of online one-stop shops for evidence in a limited-resource setting, such as Uganda. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive account of the development process of the online resource for local policy and systems-relevant information in this setting. Methods: We utilized a case study design to address our objective where the case (i.e., unit of analysis) was defined as “the Uganda clearinghouse for health policy and system (UCHPS) the development process”. We collected data from multiple sources, including key informant interviews, participant observations, and archival records to develop a comprehensive account of the case under investigation. Results: We found out that the development of Uganda clearinghouse for health policy and system (UCHPS) followed a seven-step process, characterized by iterations that occurred within and between the steps. The essential components of the process included concept development, prototyping the key structure, engaging with policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders, mobilizing and indexing the content, disseminating the resource, user-testing, and updating the system. Conclusion: Our study provides key steps for developing a one-stop shop for local evidence to inform health policy and system decisions. Researchers and institutions, especially those in low and middle income countries (LMICs) may apply this step-by-step inventory to develop similar resources. The inventory is based on knowledge translation (KT) evidence and product design principles along with insights drawn from the practical experience of developing an online KT platform in a limited-resource setting.

The article presents the results of an empirical study on electronic petitions posted on the Change.org French-speaking segment, geographically linked to France. The relevance of the topic is due to the intervention of modern information and communication technologies in political reality and the need for scientific reflection of the consequences of digital changes in political processes. The authors of the article analyse the regional particularities of the online petition activity by the inhabitants of France on the material of 15 887 electronic petitions (January 2015 – October 2017), 570 of which are petitions with the status of “victory” (4 %). The authors note that the European territories of France form three main groups of online petition activity (with low, medium and high petition activity). Residents of France most often relate to social problems (social security, health care and education) in electronic petitions. In addition, Change.org is actively registering electronic petitions on issues related to crime and terrorism, discrimination, the environment, the economy and animal welfare. Electronic petitions about problems of culture, sports and problems of confessional relations are recorded relatively rarely. The greatest response from the recipients of the petition is caused by problems in the social sphere, education and health. The French society, through the prism of activity on the non-governmental Internet resource Change.org, appears as a modern society with post-industrial values, preoccupied with security issues, in an active and relatively productive dialogue with its political and business elite.

Pet owners rely on information and advice from their veterinary practice to effectively manage their pet’s weight. This study investigated weight management information and services displayed on practice websites in Ontario, Canada. Information collected from the websites of 50 randomly selected small and mixed-animal practices included practice and staff demographics and the type of weight management services, products, and information advertised or displayed. The most frequently advertised weight management service and product were nutritional counselling (34%) and therapeutic diets (25%), respectively. Current bodyweight measurement was advertised on just over half of the websites (54%), while physical therapy counselling was the least-advertised service (16%). Further statistical analyses were performed in an exploratory fashion to determine areas for future research. Binary logistic regression analyses were used to investigate the association between practice demographics and the type of weight management information advertised online. A maximum of two predictor variables were included in each regression model. Exploratory analyses indicated that when controlling for the number of veterinarians in each practice, having a higher number of veterinary technicians was associated with increased odds of a practice website advertising current bodyweight measurement by 80.1% (odds ratio (OR) = 1.80, p = 0.05). Additionally, when controlling the number of veterinary technicians, having a higher number of veterinarians was associated with increased odds of a practice website advertising sales of therapeutic diets by 119.0% (OR = 2.19, p = 0.04). When using corporate practices as reference, independently owned practices had decreased odds of advertising sales of treats and weight management accessories on their practice websites by 78.7% (OR = 0.21, p = 0.03). These preliminary results suggest that advertising weight management information is not prioritized on veterinary practice websites in Ontario, especially those with lower staff numbers. The findings of this study raise awareness on the current state of weight management promotion for pets on veterinary practice websites and highlight ways to improve upon a practice’s online presence.

Internet-resourced health information becomes increasingly common amongst parents before doctor consultation. This study aimed to explore the demographics of online health information-seeking parents and the type of information on children’s healthcare needs and the relationship between the demographics and the online sources. A cross-sectional study was conducted at two Primary Health Centers (PHC) in Jakarta. The respondents were parents of acutely ill children seeking online health information before visiting PHC. A validated questionnaire was distributed to the respondents. Parents’ demographics and type of information were analyzed descriptively. The relationship between the demographics and the information source was tested using the Chi-Square test. 478 respondents were participating in this study where most of the respondents were mothers (75.1%), aged 26-35 years (57.7%), and had 1-2 children (70.7%). Most of them were high-school graduates (64.9%) and unemployed (49.6%). Google (61.5%) was predominantly the most frequently used digital media, followed by websites run by doctors (21.9%). The most sought information included illness causes, transmission probability, treatment, and medicines’ side effects. There was no significant relationship between any demographics and the types of online sources. In conclusion, illness-related basic information is used by most parents to be informed before seeing doctors. The link between parents’ characteristics and the selection of digital media could not be determined.

In the last decades, brain modeling has been established as a fundamental tool for understanding neural mechanisms and information processing in individual cells and circuits at different scales of observation. Building data-driven brain models requires the availability of experimental data and analysis tools as well as neural simulation environments and, often, large scale computing facilities. All these components are rarely found in a comprehensive framework and usually require ad hoc programming. To address this, we developed the EBRAINS Hodgkin-Huxley Neuron Builder (HHNB), a web resource for building single cell neural models via the extraction of activity features from electrophysiological traces, the optimization of the model parameters via a genetic algorithm executed on high performance computing facilities and the simulation of the optimized model in an interactive framework. Thanks to its inherent characteristics, the HHNB facilitates the data-driven model building workflow and its reproducibility, hence fostering a collaborative approach to brain modeling.

The article focuses on the process of developing marketing strategies in the digital educational services market using a basic-level game model. The features of developing a strategy for the development of companies producing online courses in the market of digital educational services are highlighted, the possibilities of game-theoretic modeling for making optimal decisions taking into account the changing information situation are presented. Seven areas have been identified for the development of marketing strategies, the implementation of which contributes to improving the quality of decisions in the field of promoting digital educational products, among which we will point out the development of a procedural scheme for developing a strategy for the development of digital educational products and their promotion in the educational services market, and the development of recommendations for quantitative market analysis, educational services, taking into account the need for new digital solutions, the implementation of an emphasis on the structure and content of the segment of consumers of digital solutions and users of digital educational resources, as well as the areas of advanced training and professional retraining. A procedural scheme for assessing the situation of competitive interaction between manufacturers of online courses is proposed, which makes it possible to reduce this interaction to a game model of the basic level. The constructed game model is investigated by applying various criteria, including integrated criteria (Bayes-Laplace and minimax criterion Germeier criterion Generalized Hurwitz criterion Hodge-Lehmann criterion). The resulting discrepancy between the optimal marketing strategies according to various criteria indicates a high sensitivity of the game model to changes in the information situation. This feature draws attention to the need to attract additional information for a more complete analysis of marketing strategies.

Verb classes are defined in lexical-semantics literature as syntactically coherent groups of verbs that also share meaning components. Thus, the investigation of verb classes leads to important insights into the syntax-semantics interface. In this perspective, starting from Levin’s (1993) foundational work for English, many authors have developed analyses for the syntactic-semantic classification of verbs in different languages. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of such studies, focusing on those that constitute online open access resources for the syntactic-semantic classification of verbs: VerbNet for English, BVI for Basque, AnCoraVerb for Spanish and Catalan, VerboWeb for Brazilian Portuguese, CROVALLEX for Croatian, and VALLEX for Czech. Thus, this paper reviews the general theoretical assumptions on verb classification shared by all the works presented, and shows the specific characteristics of each one, considering the body of data, the specific theoretical perspective, analyses and methodology, and the search engines they provide. Finally, it offers a comparative analysis of two specific verb classes (namely, image creation verbs and verbs of creation and transformation), drawing on data from the studies mentioned above. Although these resources assume a specific lexical-semantic approach for verb classification, they provide valuable data and analyses that can be useful for research in different theoretical perspectives.

The study aimed to understand the students’ point of view regarding the virtualization of education in the master’s degree program classes during COVID-19. This is a case study with a qualitative research approach, using an online questionnaire to identify, into the student’s point of view, how virtualized teaching was applied in classes during social distancing. The results show that the use of these resources can significantly contribute to the learning process into the Health area, however, it is essential to invest on training to have a better use of the technologies, since it’s not enough that the teacher have the tech resource if a qualified knowledge it’s not transmitted to the student.

Abstract Background Given an increased global prevalence of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) use, healthcare providers commonly seek CAM-related health information online. Numerous online resources containing CAM-specific information exist, many of which are readily available/accessible, containing information shareable with their patients. To the authors’ knowledge, no study has summarized nor assessed the quality of content contained within these online resources for at least a decade, specifically pertaining to information about adverse effects or interactions. Methods This study provides summaries of web-based online resources that provide safety information on potential interactions or adverse effects of CAM. Specifically, clinicians are the intended users of these online resources containing patient information which they can then disseminate to their patients. All online resources were assessed for content quality using the validated rating tool, DISCERN. Results Of 21 articles identified in our previously published scoping review, 23 online resources were eligible. DISCERN assessments suggests that online resources containing CAM-specific information vary in quality. Summed DISCERN scores had a mean of 56.13 (SD = 10.25) out of 75. Online resources with the highest total DISCERN scores across all questions included Micromedex (68.50), Merck Manual (67.50) and Drugs.com (66.50). Online resources with the lowest total scores included Drug Information (33.00), Caremark Drug Interactions (42.50) and HIV Drug Interactions (43.00). The DISCERN questions that received the highest mean score across all online resources referred to whether the risks were described for each treatment (4.66), whether the aims were clear (4.58), whether the source achieved those aims (4.58), and whether the website referred to areas of uncertainty (4.58). The DISCERN questions that received the lowest mean score across all online resources assessed whether there was discussion about no treatment being used (1.29) and how treatment choices would affect quality of life (2.00). Conclusion This study provides a comprehensive list of online resources containing CAM-specific information. Informed by the appraisal of these resources, this study provides a summarized list of high quality, evidence-based, online resources about CAM and CAM-related adverse effects. This list of recommended resources can thereby serve as a useful reference for clinicians, researchers, and patients.

Disruptions from COVID-19 forced agricultural business owners to navigate the uncertainty of market disruptions with limited information. As an effect, the quality of information available for agricultural businesses to adapt to changes was a concern. The purpose of this study was to determine the availability and credibility of resources for agricultural businesses to make informed decisions about food markets during COVID-19. Source credibility was the guiding framework to achieve the research objectives of 1) Describe resources available related to impacts of COVID-19 on the food supply chain, 2) Determine the credibility of available resources. A quantitative content and textual analyses were employed. Results revealed 401 terms used to describe resources (n = 779). Eleven of the top 36 terms were used over 100 times. These were: farmer, resources, farm, market, business, local, health, safe, supply, agriculture, and chain. The majority of resources (66%, f = 514) were mid-level credible sources (industry/business organization, online/print news source, nonprofit), and 32.2% (f = 251) were of the highest credibility (university scientists, USDA scientist, Extension). Implications of this work show an opportunity for university and Extension systems to publish resources and serve as credible sources related to this particular crisis.

Introduction. During the COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown, the selection of simple and authentic online material among plethora of web content is difficult for both students and teachers. This forces students and teachers to explore various avenues of learning. The objective of this research was to evaluate free open-access anatomy e-learning resources in accordance with required standard learning outcomes for medical students. Methods. During February 2021, an extensive search for online modules for learning anatomy across six Massive Open Online Courses, including edX, Coursera, Udemy, Khan Academy, Canvas and FutureLearn, along with Google and YouTube was conducted. Courses or modules on e-learning platforms, YouTube channels, standalone videos, anatomy atlases, 3D models were considered as learning resources and evaluated. Online materials were classified as structured learning resources if they had a defined syllabus, time duration and instructional design. Resources lacking these characteristics were considered as unstructured ones. Results. Twenty structured learning courses were identified on the Udemy (6 courses), Coursera (3 courses), edX (2 courses), FutureLearn and Khan academy platforms. Learning resources available through Swayam Prabha were aligned with the defined syllabus and video lectures. The content hosted within Clinical Anatomy, Medvizz and Kenhub was eye-catching. Thirty-two YouTube channels offering standalone learning material were identified. Seven resource materials, other than YouTube channels, offered anatomy learning material in the form of charts and tables. Four websites noted to have 3D interactive learning content regarding gross anatomy. Conclusions. During the pandemic-induced lockdown, the list presented in the study may act as guide in selection of the simplest and best materials for those teaching and learning anatomy in medical undergraduate courses. However, in most cases, there is no alignment with standard learning outcomes as defined by medical education regulatory authorities.

The description of neural dynamics, in terms of precise characterizations of action potential timings and shape and voltage related measures, is fundamental for a deeper understanding of the neural code and its information content. Not only such measures serve the scientific questions posed by experimentalists but are increasingly being used by computational neuroscientists for the construction of biophysically detailed data-driven models. Nonetheless, online resources enabling users to perform such feature extraction operation are lacking. To address this problem, in the framework of the Human Brain Project and the EBRAINS research infrastructure, we have developed and made available to the scientific community the NeuroFeatureExtract, an open-access online resource for the extraction of electrophysiological features from neural activity data. This tool allows to select electrophysiological traces of interest, fetched from public repositories or from users’ own data, and provides ad hoc functionalities to extract relevant features. The output files are properly formatted for further analysis, including data-driven neural model optimization.

Abstract This study reports on how the use of online resources based on systemic functional linguistics (SFL) impacted college students’ emotional alignment with writing practices. Through qualitative analyses of in-class discussions, students’ interviews and reflections, as well as their written pieces gathered in a Chinese university, the case study shows that the students were able to overcome their fears with writing construction associated with their dearth of effective knowledge, albeit through a zigzag trajectory. More importantly, they could utilize the knowledge imparted through online resources, actively and confidently participating in unpacking written discourse and effectively constructing their own writing. The study concludes the importance of harnessing online resources that are effectively designed and linguistically grounded. It sheds light on the role of SFL as a linguistic technique to alleviate students’ anxieties while offering them knowledge needed for effective written communication.

Since the publication of the National Research Council’s Report BIO2010, efforts have increased to better integrate mathematics and biology in undergraduate education. Unfortunately, equivalent efforts to introduce these quantitative topics at the secondary level have been seldom. This could cause differential success of undergraduate students who come from diverse secondary science backgrounds. Undergraduate courses regularly use technology to integrate these two disciplines, and we believe that technology can similarly be used at the secondary level to prevent quantitative achievement mismatch in undergraduate biology programmes. In this paper, we review the current uses of technology to teach quantitative biology at the secondary and undergraduate levels, propose needs for further implementation, and address potential barriers to integrating mathematics and biology using technology.

Introduction: Online resources are available to enhance emergency medicine training programmes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of using online case-based resources created in the United States in a New Zealand emergency medicine training programme. Methods: Evaluation data were collected from junior doctors and educators after they participated in the programme. Data sources included research notes and questionnaire responses. The data were analysed qualitatively using a general inductive approach. Results: Evaluation feedback from 19 junior doctors and 14 educators was interpreted to suggest that the online resource, with minor adaptations, was feasible to use in a New Zealand emergency medicine training programme. Findings indicated that educators were able to modify the materials to modify to meet local requirements, however, the opportunity to include a cultural component was missed. Participants appreciated the case-based format and felt that they established a safe and encouraging learning environment with each other. Participants were able to develop a systematic approach to emergency situations and identify red flags related to deteriorating patients. Discussion and Conclusion: Evaluation findings indicate that adapting an online-sourced curriculum is feasible to educators and acceptable to junior doctors and educators participating in a single New Zealand based Emergency Medicine training program. Educators in other international training settings may find the lessons learned helpful when adapting online resources to address the learning needs of their junior doctors. Next steps are to evaluate the impact of this resource on the knowledge and skills learned by junior doctors and any changes in their care for patients in emergency medicine situations.

Demand for building competencies in implementation research (IR) outstrips supply of training programs, calling for a paradigm shift. We used a bootstrap approach to leverage external resources and create IR capacity through a novel 2-day training for faculty scientists across the four Texas Clinical & Translational Science Awards (CTSAs). The Workshop combined internal and external expertise, targeted nationally established IR competencies, incorporated new National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute OpenAccess online resources, employed well-known adult education principles, and measured impact. CTSA leader buy-in was reflected in financial support. Evaluation showed increased self-reported IR competency; statewide initiatives expanded. The project demonstrated that, even with limited onsite expertise, it was possible to bootstrap resources and build IR capacity de novo in the CTSA community.

Background: Concussion is a global public health problem. In Canada, concussion is among the top five reasons for workplace time-loss. Concussion results in physical, cognitive, and/or emotional symptoms that temporarily worsen with physical and mental exertion, such as viewing electronic screens. The Internet is the primary source of consumer health information. Studies on the end-user needs of adults with brain injuries in regards to digital health technologies largely focus on informational content. There is little to no research on the accessibility of screen-based informational websites and smartphone applications among this population.Objective: The aim of this research was to involve stakeholders in the design of a comprehensive educational resource to guide concussion recognition, recovery, and return-to-work, called the Concussion Awareness Training Tool for Workers and Workplaces (CATT WW). In order to ensure both relevant content and appropriate delivery of the information to the target groups, participants were asked whether adaptations could increase the accessibility of online health information for the general adult population experiencing concussion symptoms.Methods: Data have been generated through semi-structured in-depth interviews and focus groups with participants from across British Columbia (BC): workers from various industries who were in the concussion recovery process or had returned to work (n = 31); and healthcare or workplace professionals who support concussion diagnosis, recovery, and return-to-work (n = 16). Data were analyzed using NVivo 12. Before commencing data collection, ethical permission was granted by the University of British Columbia Research Ethics Board (H18-00604), and approval was received from WorkSafeBC Research Services.Results: Participants (n = 47) recommended twenty adaptations or supplements to electronic screen-based digital health technologies.Conclusion: Given the high prevalence of concussion among the working adult population, the symptom exacerbation commonly caused by prolonged use of electronic screens, and the demand for online educational resources, these findings can guide clinicians, researchers, technology developers, employers, and occupational health and safety committees to further support adults in concussion recovery and return-to-work.

Mapping Asia Plants (MAP) is a comprehensive project that aims to build a detailed infrastructure for integrating Asian plant distribution data a global-scale array of knowledge for plant biodiversity conservation. Here, we provide a brief historical review of botanical research in Southwest Asia – an understudied botanical region with high conservation priority. Nineteen countries were included in this study (from west to east): Turkey, Cyprus, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Georgia, Yemen, Armenia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Oman. We reviewed 132 resources comprising 125 Floras and Checklists, of which we describe in some detail at least one of the most important Floras or Checklists for each country. Complete and published national Floras exist for 13 countries; three countries (Jordan, Israel and Bahrain) do not have a Flora but have annotated Checklists, and national Floras are at different stages of completion for Iran, Iraq and Georgia. Where present, online resources are also given for references. We found major gaps in species concepts and taxonomic classification systems, and that many up-to-date Flora revisions remained unresolved, i.e. taxon ranks and species concepts varied among different countries, different systems were adopted or followed in the taxonomic treatments in the Floras and Checklists, and some of the current Floras are out of date. Floras are the first necessary step for many fields, including evolutionary biology, ecology, biogeography, and systematics, as well as environmental research and conservation of biodiversity at national and international levels. Here, we provide the progress updates on the main published floristic works of Southwest Asia, which continue to serve as references for the Flora of Southwest Asia, and will be the foundation of the MAP project.

Background: Recorded Recovery Narratives (RRNs) describing first-person lived experience accounts of recovery from mental health problems are becoming more available. Little is known about how RRNs can be used in clinical practice and clinical education.Aims: The aim of this paper is to enable implementation planning for RRN interventions by identifying determinants of uptake. The objective was to identify opportunities, barriers, and enablers to the uptake of RRN interventions in clinical practice and education.Method: Three phases of focus groups were conducted with multi-professional mental health clinicians. Phase 1 (4 groups, n = 25) investigated current and possible uses of RRNs, Phase 2 (2 groups, n = 15) investigated a specific intervention delivering recovery narratives. Phase 3 (2 groups, n = 12) investigated clinical education uses. Thematic analysis was conducted.Results: RRNs can reinforce the effectiveness of existing clinical practices, by reducing communication barriers and normalizing mental health problems. They can also extend clinical practice (increase hope and connection, help when stuck). Clinical considerations are the relationship with care pathways, choice of staff and stage of recovery. In educational use there were opportunities to access lived experience perspectives, train non-clinical staff and facilitate attitudinal change. Barriers and enablers related to design (ability to use online resources, accessibility of language, ability to individualize choice of narrative), risk (triggering content, staff skills to respond to negative effects), trust in online resource (evidence base, maintenance), and technology (cost of use, technology requirements).Conclusions: RRNs can both improve and extend existing clinical practice and be an important educational resource. RRNs can improve engagement and hope, and address internalized stigma. Beneficially incorporating RRNs into clinical practice and education may require new staff skills and improved technological resources in healthcare settings. Future work could focus on the use of peer support workers views on RRN use and how to avoid unnecessary and unhelpful distress.Trial Registration Number: Work in this paper has informed three clinical trials: ISRCTN11152837; ISRCTN63197153; ISRCTN76355273.

Objective: Digital images might contribute to stigma associated with mental disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate whether these images accurately represent pediatric mental disorders, as well as to explore specific image-related factors that influence perception. Methods: Four hundred pictures were retrieved from three stock photograph websites (‘Shutterstock’, ‘iStock’ and ‘Adobe’) and ‘Google Images’ for mental disorders (ADHD, ASD, and depression) and somatic diseases (asthma, diabetes, and influenza) in childhood. Each picture was scored for gender, age, and emotional load. Data was compared against data from epidemiological studies. Ordinal regression was used to predict emotional load from image-related factors. Results: There was a significant difference in gender representation of ADHD, ASD, depression, diabetes, and influenza. With respect to age, models were significantly younger in pictures of depression but older in pictures of influenza. Pictures of ASD, asthma and diabetes were mostly positive; however, images for ADHD, depression and influenza carried more negative connotations. For mental disorders, a more positive emotional load was associated with images of young and/or male models. iStock gave more positive images. Conclusions: Digital images available in stock databases do not accurately represent pediatric mental and somatic disease. For mental disorders, image-related factors (including age, gender and emotional load) may influence societal perception.

A dramatically increased interest in dissemination and implementation (D&I) science, with relatively few training programs for D&I scientists, highlights the need for innovative ways to deliver educational materials, training, and resources. We described nine interactive, web-based D&I science resources appropriate for trainees and Clinical and Translational Science Awards. We used audience feedback and design thinking to develop resources iteratively. Primary target users are T3–T4 researchers, although T2 researchers can benefit from “designing for dissemination” resources. Workforce development resources were used in D&I science workshops, as stand-alone, self-directed resources, and for consultations and trainings. We assessed resource design (purpose, functionality), usage, user experience and engagement. Educational resources addressed included: D&I science basics, pragmatic trials, getting proposals funded, designing for dissemination, and D&I science theory selection. We reviewed the purpose, functionality, status, and usage of these interactive resources. All resources engaged users; provided interactive feedback for learners; and linked users to additional learning resources. Online resources can be valuable for preparing clinical and translational mentees for research consultations, as follow-up training activities, and as D&I workforce development resources. The resources described are publicly available and we encourage their use, further development, and evaluation by Clinical and Translational Science Awards and other programs.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this article is to review electronic resources in Latin, analyzing their didactic potential to help Classical teachers to effectively organize the educational process, diversifying the set of tools, and enhancing their work. Today, most of the useful links are accumulated on domestic professional sites devoted to the study of Latin. Many foreign scientists and teachers simply do not know about their existence. From time to time, attempts are made to summarize information and provide content for studying Classic languages in scientific publications, but such information quickly becomes outdated and needs to be regularly updated. This article provides an overview of the current most popular resources on Latin: digital libraries and databases, online courses, electronic textbooks, dictionary, translators etc.; describing the current state of the development of e-learning tools and websites for the study of Latin in Ukraine. Hoje, a maioria dos links úteis é acumulada em vários sites domésticos dedicados ao estudo do Latim. Muitos cientistas e professores estrangeiros simplesmente não sabem sobre sua existência. De tempos em tempos, são feitas tentativas de resumir informações e fornecer conteúdo para o estudo de línguas clássicas em publicações científicas, mas essas informações rapidamente ficam desatualizadas e precisam ser atualizadas regularmente. Este artigo fornece uma visão geral dos recursos mais populares da atualidade em Latim: bibliotecas digitais e bancos de dados, cursos online, livros eletrônicos, dicionário, tradutores etc.; descreve o estado atual de desenvolvimento das ferramentas de e-learning e sites para o estudo do Latim na Ucrânia. Universities should use online resources to help graduate students who are struggling with their mental health to access appropriate support.

Background: Internet is the world's largest network of information and communication services. The internet is widely used in medicine and had a significant impact on research, training, and patient care. Objectives: (1) To assess internet use to obtain health information for patient care among physicians of a medical college hospital. (2) To investigate the utilization of the internet during their daily practice and to know the reasons for its use and nonuse. Materials and Methods: A hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted for a period of 2 months of May and June 2015 in a Medical College Hospital of Eastern India. A convenient sample of 200 physicians was included in the study. Data regarding access of internet in workplace, time spent on the internet for medical and nonmedical purposes, opinions regarding use of the internet to update medical knowledge, obstacles that affect its use, etc., were collected. The data were analyzed using SPSS software version 20. Results: It was seen that 47% doctors use laptop for accessing internet, followed by mobiles (34%). E-mail was the main purpose (41%) of internet use, followed by research (32.5%). Majority told that e-mail was the main purpose of last internet use (46.5%), followed by browsing medical resources (23%), research (15.5%), and patient care (12.5%). 97.5% agreed that they had ever browsed internet for patient care and 85.5% doctors agreed that they had obtained relevant information. 26.5% told that they need training for accessing free full-text electronic journals and 25% need training to access the sources for best clinical evidence for patient care. Other training needs were literature search (18%), downloading textbooks and other resources (15.5%), and searching internet sites for medical information (10%). Conclusion: Providing training for improvement of searching skills for obtaining up-to-date medical information, and evidence-based medicine from internet will improve their practice of medicine.

Nowadays libraries evolve online resources in acquisition of their stocks as a measure to fill the gap with printed resources. A variety of numerous Russian publishing electronic products, designed to provide users’ needs, can be desсribed as a general space of Russian electronic resources. The collection development of electronic resources requires studying these products content and technological properties, acquisition financial terms, elaborating stocks development strategy. To provide Russian online resources investigation, the author has collected information at websites of publishers and distributors, tested online products, analyzed the sites of central libraries of Russian regions using network resources. Based on the data about Russian online resources, the paper identifies groups of resource publishers, describes ways to inform about network resources and some characteristics of electronic resources affecting their selection. Publishers and distributors produce commercial and non-commercial online resources of scientific-educational organizations in the fields of their activity, collections of retrospective free access publications creating by holders eventually or in frames of thematic collections, open access resources. The legislative support for providing the educational process with electronic publications influenced of Russian online resources development that provided the creation of such resources group as electronic library systems. The article shows methods to form the content of electronic library systems, services they provide, access to various categories of users. At present, introducing electronic resources in the process of collections acquisition, and changing requirements for libraries have a huge impact on the activities of publishers and aggregators aimed at changing the principles of collection forming, services extension, tools development of federated search for Russian network resources.

Conventional methods of teaching structural engineering topics focus on face-to-face delivery of course materials. This study shows that using video-based e-learning in delivering an undergraduate Structural Steel Design course satisfactorily achieved most of the course learning outcomes. Video-based e-learning with animations and simulations gives students a profound understanding of the course intricate design materials. To gauge the effectiveness of video-based e-learning of the course, an online evaluation was conducted by sixty-eight undergraduate students at the United Arab Emirates University using Blackboard. The evaluation consisted of an online survey that was accessible by students who took the structural steel design course in the academic year 2019 using instructional videos provided to them as Quick Response (QR)-codes. The structural steel design course has six learning outcomes (CLOs), and the performance of students in the six CLOs was compared with that of students who took the same course in the academic year 2018 using the traditional face-to-face lecturing method. The survey data was statistically analyzed, and the results revealed that students’ performance improved, and most of the CLOs were attained. Video-based e-learning with animations resulted in better learning outcomes compared to face-to-face lecturing. Accessing the course instruction videos anytime and anywhere is one of the remarkable benefits to the students studying through the e-learning approach.

The study aimed at investigating the use and effectiveness of a learning resources center, which is generally known as a library. In doing so, eight elements were investigated through an author-designed questionnaire. Each of these elements tended to delve into certain aspects of the afore-mentioned center. These elements included a) students’ visits frequency, b) availability of books related to modules, c) center facilities, d) use of discussion rooms, e) use of online resources, f) staff cooperation, g) impact on knowledge enhancement, and, h) recommendation to peers. Eighty undergraduate students participated in the study. Participants were then asked to read the statements carefully and choose one of the five responses provided, ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree. Data were analyzed based on 5-point Likert Scale. Findings of the study revealed that participants were mostly in agreement with all eight statements provided in the questionnaire, which were interpreted as positive feedbacks from the students. Then, the frequencies of responses by the participants were reported. Finally, the results were compared and contrasted and related discussions on the effectiveness of libraries and learning resources centers on students’ learning performances and outcomes were made.

Abstract Background Learners often utilize online resources to supplement formalized curricula, and to appropriately support learning, these resources should be of high quality. Thus, the objectives of this study are to develop and provide validity evidence supporting an assessment tool designed to assess the quality of educational websites in Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery (ORL-HNS), and identify those that could support effective web-based learning. Methods After a literature review, the Modified Education in Otolaryngology Website (MEOW) assessment tool was designed by a panel of experts based on a previously validated website assessment tool. A search strategy using a Google-based search engine was used subsequently to identify websites. Those that were free of charge and in English were included. Websites were coded for whether their content targeted medical students or residents. Using the MEOW assessment tool, two independent raters scored the websites. Inter-rater and intra-rater reliability were evaluated, and scores were compared to recommendations from a content expert. Results The MEOW assessment tool included a total of 20 items divided in 8 categories related to authorship, frequency of revision, content accuracy, interactivity, visual presentation, navigability, speed and recommended hyperlinks. A total of 43 out of 334 websites identified by the search met inclusion criteria. The scores generated by our tool appeared to differentiate higher quality websites from lower quality ones: websites that the expert “would recommend” scored 38.4 (out of 56; CI [34.4–42.4]) and “would not recommend” 27.0 (CI [23.2–30.9]). Inter-rater and intra-rater intraclass correlation coefficient were greater than 0.7. Conclusions Using the MEOW assessment tool, high quality ORL-HNS educational websites were identified.

Abstract Background Patients are accessing online health information frequently and using it to guide treatment decisions. Few studies have been done assessing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) information, and no studies have examined surgical resources for these patients. Methods This was a cross-sectional analysis. “Sleep surgery” and “sleep apnea surgery” were entered into Google, MSN Bing, and Yahoo! search engines. The first 25 results of each individual search were evaluated. Each unique site was assessed for content quality, accessibility, usability, reliability, and readability using validated instruments. The date of last update for each site was also documented. Results “Sleep surgery” was searched for an average of 1,703,991 (SD = 166,585) times per month from June 2015 to June 2016. 33 unique websites were identified. Sites were most often academically/government affiliated (10/33, 30.3%), health information sites (8/33, 24.2%), or non-profit/hospital related (8/33, 24.2%). The mean overall DISCERN score for quality was “good,” at 56.6 (range, 22–79). The mean overall LIDA score for accessibility, usability, and reliability was “moderate,” at 123.9 (range, 97–152). The mean Flesch Reading Ease score for readability was 49.77 (range 22.7-74.3); 7/33 (21.2%) scored above 60, the recommended range for average visitors. 60.6% (20/33) of the sites had been updated since January 1, 2014. There was no significant correlation between a websites’ position on a browser’s search and its DISCERN, LIDA, FRE, or total score. Conclusions With patients’ increasing reliance on Internet information, efforts to understand and improve websites’ quality and usefulness present unique opportunities in OSA surgery and beyond.

We live in an unprecedented time, the covid19 outbreak has paralyzed the world including medical students. They remain in quarantine in the hope that the pandemic will end. The Latin America countries are particularly affected by their lack of resources and the time when medical students return to the universities is lengthening. Meanwhile the use of online platforms to resume the classes and the variety of online courses to complement the learning seems promising and should be more widely disseminated.

In the past two decades, more and more dictionary usage studies have been published, but most of them deal with questions related to what users appreciate about dictionaries, which dictionaries they use and what type of information they need in specific situations — presupposing that users actually consult lexicographic resources. However, language teachers and lecturers in linguistics often have the impression that students do not use enough high-quality dictionaries in their everyday work. With this in mind, we launched an international cooperation project to collect empirical data to evaluate what it is that students actually do while attempting to solve language problems. To this end, we applied a new methodological setting: screen recording in conjunction with a thinking-aloud task. The collected empirical data offers a broad insight into what users really do while they attempt to solve language-related tasks online.

Background and objectives: With the digitalization of modern healthcare delivery, digital media adoption in clinical practice is increasing. Also, healthcare professionals are more and more confronted with patients using smartphone-based health applications (apps). This exploratory study aimed at surveying perceptions on such apps in the context of lung health among a cross section of Austrian practitioners involved in pulmonary care. Materials and Methods: The online questionnaire in German assessed socio-demographic characteristics, telehealth readiness as well as opinions on smoke-free and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) apps. We used descriptive statistics to report the finding. Results: We received valid responses from 55 participants (mean age 52.3 years, 69.1% males). Telehealth readiness was medium, indicating existence of certain barriers adversely impacting telehealth use. As for apps targeting smoking cessation and COPD, respondents indicated high relevance for visualization aspects for patients and control/overview features for the treating doctors. Only 40% of participants indicated that they would recommend a COPD app to an older patient. Conclusions: In smoking cessation therapy, doctors commonly adhere to the “5 A’s”: Ask, Advise, Assess, Assist, and Arrange. We suggest adding “App” as sixth A, assuming that in patient follow-up most of the other A’s could also be supported or even replaced by app features in the challenging task to tackle smoking-associated non-communicable diseases.

The challenges of immigration processes caused the crisis of a multiculturalist and tolerant society. Thousands of refugees and immigrants with different backgrounds are looking for their new home. Studying successful experience could give us an opportunity to understand the way of reaching tolerance in this multicultural world. One of the regions with successful experience is the Canadian Federation. Owing to the development of its own immigration policy in the 1960s, Canada gave a new life to immigrants and refugees from different regions. The article shows an importance of web-sources for them who examining this area. It shows official websites of Canadian authority both at federal and provincial governments. Especially it analyses the Senate and the House of Commons, the GovernorGeneral of Canada, ministries and the governments of provinces and territories. The general scientific theory and such empirical methods as critical analysis, synthesis of sources and method of qualitative analysis of text messages are used. This paper describes the instructive possibilities of the official sources and availability of the materials. It focuses on documents, statistics, aspects of immigration policy, and information for prospective immigrants and refugees. Essentially, the article illustrates opportunities for those researches who work with these resources. And also it illustrates the importance of the materials for studying Canadian immigration policy from 1976 to 2012.

This article examines new methods in engineering education based on the use of online forums that cover a wide range of technical topics. Several major types of forums, their development and use in education and scientifi c research are analyzed. The authors provide examples of problem solving and working with these forums and other Internet resources in the educational process at the National Research University “MРEI”.

The research question for this study was: ‘Can the provision of online resources help to engage and motivate students to become self-directed learners?’ This study presents the results of an action research project to answer this question for a postgraduate module at a research-intensive university in the United Kingdom. The analysis of results from the study was conducted dividing the students according to their programme degree – Masters or PhD – and according to their language skills. The study indicated that the online resources embedded in the module were consistently used, and that the measures put in place to support self-directed learning (SDL) were both perceived and valued by the students, irrespective of their programme or native language. Nevertheless, a difference was observed in how students viewed SDL: doctoral students seemed to prefer the approach and were more receptive to it than students pursuing their Masters degree. Some students reported that the SDL activity helped them to achieve more independence than did traditional approaches to teaching. Students who engaged with the online resources were rewarded with higher marks and claimed that they were all the more motivated within the module. Despite the different learning experiences of the diverse cohort, the study found that the blended nature of the course and its resources in support of SDL created a learning environment which positively affected student learning.

Online resources for business research will be an innovative space that will help the community around the Journal of Evolutionary Studies in Business to sift through interesting and useful resources online to explore, research and teach the diverse, complex and global world of business.

Our society is nowadays evolving towards a digital era, due to the extensive use of computer technologies and their interconnection mechanisms, i.e., social networks, Internet resources, IoT services, etc. This way, new threats and vulnerabilities appear. Therefore, there is an urgent necessity of training students in the topic of cybersecurity, in which practical skills have to be acquired. In distance education, the inclusion of on-line resources for hands-on activities in its curricula is a key step in meeting that need. This work presents several contributions. First, the fundamentals of a virtual remote laboratory hosted in the cloud are detailed. This laboratory is a step forward since the laboratory combines both virtualization and cloud paradigms to dynamically create emulated environments. Second, this laboratory has also been integrated into the practical curricula of a cybersecurity subject, as an additional on-line resource. Third, the students’ traceability, in terms of their interactions with the laboratory, is also analyzed. Psychological TAM/UTAUT factors (perceived usefulness, estimated effort, social influence, attitude, ease of access) that may affect the intention of using the laboratory are analyzed. Fourth, the degree of satisfaction is analyzed with a great impact, since the mean values of these factors are most of them higher than 4 points out of 5. In addition to this, the students’ acceptance of the presented technology is exhaustively studied. Two structural equation models have been hypothesized and validated. Finally, the acceptance of the technology can be concluded as very good in order to be used in other Engineering contexts. In this sense, the calculated statistical values for the improved proposed model are within the expected ranges of reliability (X2 = 0.6, X2/DF = 0.3, GFI = 0.985, CIF = 0.985, RMSEA = 0) by considering the literature.

Gerontechnology has become a new field of interest in aging, showing the potential of these new tools to promote the well-being of the elderly and active aging. Although few studies have focused on analyzing the online resources available for this purpose. Here, we identify and analyze the online resources focused on some of the main areas of interest in active aging, according to its main characteristics, as well as aspects of accessibility, use and quality, with special emphasis on those resources aimed specifically at older people. We identified and coded 557 links. These links are focused on 7 dimensions of active aging. Descriptive and multivariate analyses show a lack of online resources aimed specifically at older people, especially in relation to psychosocial and emotional variables. We have found significant limitations of accessibility, use and quality of resources. We conclude on the need for greater involvement institutional, social and scientific to maximize the possibilities offered by the Internet and to overcome the limitations found and that might serve as some of the causes of the generational digital divide existing.

In the past five years, there has been considerable interest in the decision-making process of school board officials in the field of education. However, a paucity of research exists on how these leaders use online resources to make decisions. Through an online survey and face to face interviews, this study examined the use of online resources by school-board trustees (n=164) to guide board-level decisions. Trustees used online articles (news, research articles, journals) twice as much as social media (Twitter, Facebook, blogs) or repository services (clipping services, Google Scholar). Almost 70% of trustees used three or more resources to inform their decision making. Seventy-five to 85% of trustees rated online articles and repository services as being useful. Trustees actively checked the trustworthiness of online resources by evaluating sources, cross-checking data, and asking colleagues. Key barriers to using online resources included lack of time, finding reliable or relevant information, and negotiating conflicting results. Some trustees wanted access to a third-party, repository of valid, reliable information. Grâce à un sondage en ligne et à des entrevues menées en personne, la présente étude se penche sur l’usage que font les commissaires scolaires (n=164) des ressources en ligne pour appuyer les décisions du conseil. Les commissaires se servaient d’articles en ligne (actualités, articles de recherche, revues) deux fois plus que des réseaux sociaux (Twitter, Facebook, blogues) ou de services d’archivage (services de coupures de presse, Google Scholar). Près de 70 % des commissaires se servaient de trois ressources ou plus pour guider leurs décisions. De 75 % à 85 % des commissaires estimaient que les articles en ligne et les services d’archivage étaient utiles. Les commissaires vérifiaient activement la fiabilité des ressources en ligne en évaluant les sources, en recoupant les données et en demandant l’avis de collègues. Les principaux obstacles à l’usage des ressources en ligne comprenaient le manque de temps, la difficulté à trouver des renseignements fiables ou pertinents, et l’évaluation de résultats contradictoires. Certains commissaires souhaitaient accéder à des archives externes rassemblant des renseignements fiables et valides.
