This present retrospective of material well-being and quality of life in the last decade, completed through the study of the available knowledge, highlights the importance of increasing material well-being, an important and multidimensional factor in the evolution of humanity and economic development. This analysis, based on the current study of knowledge in order to research and develop the present article regarding the retrospective of the material well-being of the last decade, brought to light other theoretical works carried out by researchers devoted to the study of material well-being and the increase of the quality of life. This work aims to develop a concept about the evolution, development and interpretation of the well-being of the individual and society. Therefore, the evaluation of the indicators identified in this study of knowledge went from the oldest interpretations of subjective fertility to the latest of today.

ObjectivesTo better understand the outcome benefits of community health services for the aged (CHSA) and provide bottom-up identity for development, this study examined the impact of using CHSA on well-being of older adults from both objective and subjective dimensions.MethodsData from 1,411 people aged 60+ in Shaanxi, China was used in this study. The OLS estimate was used to analyze the impact of using CHSA on well-being of older adults. Then, the instrumental variable estimate was further hired to examine associations among variables to address the potential endogeneity concerns. The heterogeneity among disabled and non-disabled group was also estimated.ResultsFor objective well-being, the mental health (β = 0.44) and financial well-being (β = 0.59) of older people using CHSA were significantly higher than those not using any service. The impact on objective well-being were more significant in non-disabled group. For subjective well-being, life meaning (β = 0.54) and security (β = 0.72) were positively associated with CHSA utilization, while independence index (β = −0.33) was negatively related with CHSA utilization. The subjective well-being of disabled group using services increased more than non-disabled group.ConclusionFindings underscore the positive, albeit group-selective, role of CHSA in improving well-being of older people in China and imply the necessity of high-quality development of CHSA and the targeted differentiation strategy.

The relevance of the work is caused by the fundamental importance of social well-being in the development and prosperity of society. The article analyzes the phenomenon of social well-being in modern society in the context of social philosophy. The purpose: based on the analysis of scientific literature to substantiate the thesis that social well-being is a phenomenon of modern society, most fully manifested in such forms of its existence as objective and subjective well-being. Objective characteristics of well-being act as measurable indicators – economic, environmental and social quantifiers (such as the level of education, employment, etc.), the level of security, political stability, health, etc. Subjective characteristics include a sense of happiness, life satisfaction, sense of personal growth and development, psychological well-being, sense of being a part of society, interpersonal relationships (relationships with family, friends, in the workforce, etc.), etc. Research methods: explication and comparative analysis methods, historical, socio-philosophical. The results. It was analyzed that the phenomenon of social well-being is the subject of research in a number of humanities: history, sociology, philosophy, psychology. It is proved that social well-being is an important dominant of modern society, acting as a resource for the formation of new human relationships to their leisure, happiness, success. Social well-being is a dialectical unity of objective and subjective well-being. Conclusions. The author has implemented a scientific project on the relationship between social well-being and leisure. The classification of the main approaches to the analysis of social well-being is presented. The paper showns dialectical relation of subjective and objective social well-being, which takes special forms of interaction with such phenomena of society as happiness, leisure, prosperity.

Purpose – the well-being of individuals plays a vital role in fostering sustainable economic development. The differentiation between subjective and objective well-being in selected EU and selected non-EU countries, with a particular focus on financial literacy, as individuals’ assessments of their own well-being can significantly differ from objective economic indicators, emphasizing the subjective nature of well-being. The research objective is to investigate how savings and personal budgeting indicators affect both objective and subjective well-being and to examine the role of these indicators in promoting financial literacy. Research methodology – the research investigates the impact of savings and personal budgeting indicators on financial literacy (FLI), financial well-being (FWB), and gross domestic product at purchasing power parity per capita (GDP PPP per capita). We applied Pearson’s pairwise correlation between nine indicators of personal budgeting and savings and the method of principal components to identify the reasonable factors according to their statistical significance based on data from 22 countries included in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development/International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE) survey data, Global Findex Database. The application of the Varimax procedure made it possible to identify factor groups of indicators. Findings – we identify two factors for the whole sample and a sample of selected EU-countries; for non-EU-countries were identified three factors. Our research reveals that subjective FWB across all countries and non-EU countries is under the significant influence of factor group 1 mainly represented by savings indicators, with no significance for EU countries. FLI also significantly depends on factor group 1 for the entire sample of countries and across EU and non-EU countries. GDP PPP per capita is under the significant influence of all factors both in the sample of countries and across EU and non-EU countries. Research limitations – FLI databases started to be gathered relatively recently and are not regularly updated. This can cause a situation when data for different countries are provided with time gaps. Moreover, due to the high cost involved, not all countries conduct such research, which hinders the creation of large datasets for more accurate country comparisons. Practical implications – the results of this study may have interest for policymakers since they focus on improvement of the financial literacy and FWB of individuals, that results in a higher level of financial stability. Originality/Value – this research is to address existing gaps in understanding of the interplay between subjective and objective FWB. Also, it proposes a novel approach that views savings as a factor that enhances financial literacy, in contrast to the conventional approach that considers savings as a consequence of improved FWB.

Introduction: Considering the failure of the objective approach in measuring youth well-being and the discourse turn of social policy towards subjective well-being, the present article, after conceptualizing subjective well-being, evaluates its situation among Iranian youth. Method: The present article is a quantitative secondary analysis of the data of the "National Survey of the Social, Cultural and Moral Status of Iranian Society" (2016) among young people aged 18 to 29 living throughout the country. Findings: Firstly, the subjective welfare of young people in many components is unfavorable. Second, the subjective welfare of young people is more unfavorable than other age groups; compared to others (30-49 years, 50 years and older), Iranian youth value higher preference, such as wealth, position, and fame; they have less belief in the existence of judicial and professional justice; they also have a more negative assessment of the welfare of society; they Evaluate the life situation in the past as more negative and the future situation as more positive; they feel less freedom, happiness, security, and national belonging; they have less belief in the prevalence of legalism and the realization of citizenship in society; finallu, they agree with a fundamental change in the current state of society. Discussion: The findings indicate that although the low level of subjective welfare among young people is a pervasive pattern with other age groups, but its lower level compared to others indicates an unfavorable state of subjective welfare in this group.

Background. Neuropsychology is a science with its own specific concepts, terms, and methods of analysis of disturbances in psychological development. One of the essential concepts of neuropsychological methodology, according to A.R. Luria, is that of a neuropsychological syndrome, which takes into account both the functional organization of the brain and the behavioral system. However, this concept isn’t mentioned in the majority of his publications, and thus is not well known by neuropsychologists. There is no clear understanding of this concept within the works of modern neuropsychologists. This omission has a strong influence on the way analysis and interpretation of developmental difficulties is carried out today. Objective. The objective of this study is to present an example of the successful application of qualitative syndromic analysis to the case of a Mexican preschool child with developmental problems and learning disabilities. Design. The clinical analysis was applied to the case of a 6 year old girl with learning disabilities, whose difficulties had been attributed primarily to a low level of general brain activation. Results. The authors assert that the advantages of A.R. Luria’s syndromic approach to clinical cases of difficulties in development and learning disabilities, are that it opens up the potential for finding the general causes on different levels: neuronal maturation, brain mechanisms, activity and personality. Conclusion. The authors conclude that the topic of syndromic analysis in child neuropsychology requires further scientific discussion. The necessity for revising levels of analysis of clinical cases should be taken in account.

This study aimed to analyze the influence of family characteristics, quality of marriage, and family well-being toward the quality of parental environment among early marriage families. Research is done in two villages in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. Samples consist of 70 families selected purposively with consideration of husband and wife married at a young age and have children aged 0-6 years old. Data were collected through interviews and observations and analyzed with descriptive statistics and multiple linear regressions. The analysis found that majority family had marriage quality in the medium category. Meanwhile, a majority of the family were categorized as prosperous family based on objective well-being indicator and had subjective family well-being in the medium category. This research also found that the majority of quality of parental environmental for children aged 0-36 months was categorized as low environment and children aged 37-72 months in the medium category. Marriage age, the marriageable age of wife, marriage quality, and subjective well-being significant and positive influenced toward the quality of parenting environment.

Number of female-headed families tended to increase in Indonesia. The new family structures with maternal functions simultaneously as head of the family led to various adjustments, especially to maintain the family welfare. This research was aimed to analyze social capital, economic coping strategy, and objective well-being of female-headed families. This research held in Bogor District and used cross sectional design. This research involved 53 female-headed families who have been became single-parent since last two years. The families were chosen by snowball sampling and the data was obtained by interview using questionnaire. The result showed that more than half of female-headed families had income over the poverty line. Analysis of logistic regression discovered female-headed’s age had significant chance to have positive influence on family objective well-being. Family objective well-being was influenced by social capital variable particularly in dimension of trust and social network. This research estimated that decreasing of cutting back expenses strategy will give higher chance to identify family to be more prosperous objectively.

Program of Women’s Movement for Home garden Optimization (GPOP) was one of the government's efforts to encourage families to manage home garden optimally in order to improve the family well-being. This program was conducted since 2011 by Ministry of Agriculture. The aim of this research was to analyze the well-being of GPOP participant’s family and nonparticipant’s family in Depok City, West Java Province; and to analyze the factors that influenced the well-being. This research involved 60 GPOP participants’ family and 60 nonparticipant’s family that chosen by random sampling. Family well-being measured by using objective indicator based on poverty line according to BPS and subjective indicator based on assessment of wive on various aspects of her family well-being. This study found that even families who did not become participants of GPOP had higher achievement of optimization of the home garden than participants. The results showed that most familyies, both participants and nonparticipants, had been prosperous according to the measurement of two indicator, objective and subjectife assessment. However, the level of the family well-being of participants was higher than nonparticipants. Moreover, family’s well-being was affected by the amount of family assets, but it was not influenced by membership of GPOP.
