This paper finds that in ASEAN-4, the micro loan characteristics: loan amount and LIBOR whilst the macro characteristics: inflation, net export and GDP growth influence the loan spread in the project finance. However, simultaneously at the country level, the determinants of the loan spread are distinctive to each country’s infrastructure industry characteristic. The paper’s main contribution relates to the determinants of the project finance loan spread at the country level and regional level, ASEAN-4. The purpose of this paper is to fathom the critical risk factors behind the project finance loan pricing differential across the ASEAN-4 countries. Hence, the policy makers, project developers and lenders can have a better understanding of the drivers behind the project finance loan spread pricing. The study adopted an ordinary least square (OLS) regression methodology and collected data from ASEAN-4 countries consisting of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand.

Accounting. Bookkeeping ,HF5601-5689 - Abstract
This research aims to fill the gap in sustainable insurance product study. The central research question of this research is how to develop a fair pricing framework in order to design a sustainable financial product. Current profit testing method is arguably lack of policyholder considerations. The profitability decision under current method only considers profit margin for company. There is no profitability measurement for policyholder. To improve fairness under current pricing, the proposed study proposes a concept of equity in risk between company and policyholder. In order to establish equity in risk, profitability for policyholder needs to be defined and risk measure Conditional Tail Expectation (CTE) for company and policyholder is proposed as a solution. Fairness is achieved if CTE between company and policyholder falls within certain range. CTE generated under new framework could be used as a reference point to all stakeholders to assess the fairness of Unit Linked price. The target population for the study was any regular premium Unit Link product. This research used simple random sampling. From the population consisting of 34 companies 20 samples were drawn. Data is taken from the Indonesian Financial Service Authority. The data used is from the time period between 1 January 2015 and 30 June 2019. Using the CTE, this study finds that most of the Unit Linked pricing are far from fair. It is recommended that companies could be more efficient in their operating and distribution cost in order to be fairer to policyholder and therefore will make the product more sustainable.

Medicine ,Science - Abstract
Signalized intersections that are pretimed are commonly used in rapidly developing cities with diverse traffic patterns, including those found in Indonesia. These intersections are a common source of congestion and delays in road networks, particularly when there is non-lane based (NLB) traffic in urban areas. Accurate estimation of both the base saturation flow rate and capacity is essential for this type of facility, as an error in the prediction of the base saturation flow rate can result in significant bias in capacity evaluation and design at signalized intersections. The estimation of capacity at signalized intersections is critical for ensuring optimal signal timings, minimizing delay, and reducing congestion. Heterogeneous traffic, which refers to the presence of various types of vehicles with distinct static and dynamic characteristics, is a common phenomenon. To address this issue, this paper presents a modeling approach for the SFR that takes into account heterogeneous traffic and NLB movements. Indonesia, being an archipelago with 34 provinces, served as the focus of this study, which specifically concentrated on Banda Aceh, the capital province of Aceh province. Employing primary and observed data collected at a specific, predetermined signalized timing, this study aimed to investigate the impact of intersection geometry and heterogeneous traffic composition on the SFR. By adopting the modeling approach for NLB movements, the study formulated the BSFR model. To estimate the scale parameters of the BSFR, the multiple linear regression approach was utilized. The analysis results reveal that the existing BSFR based on the IHCM formula gives a substantially biased estimation because the PCEs from the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) are underestimated. This source of error could be partially due to the heterogeneous (varied vehicle composition) traffic flow with NLB movements, unlike that observed under the prevailing conditions of IHCM 1997. The empirical results show that the existing IHCM should be improved to avoid overestimation, particularly for effective approach width (We) greater than 4.5 m. A comparison of the BSFR prediction model between IHCM's PCEs and new PCEs shows that the BSFR is predicted more accurately in the latter case. This finding demonstrates that the existing IHCM can be adjusted in two ways: adjusting PCEs or calibrating the BSFR formula. The proposed models can also enhance the accuracy of BSFR prediction, leading to better signalized intersection capacity estimation, providing support for designing traffic operation, alleviating traffic congestion, and reducing congestion delay within the city.

VP3 biofertilizer is a biological agent that has been formulated in previous research. It was applied once with compost and has been tested on red spinach and green spinach in the greenhouse to see its effect on yield and quality (chlorophyll content, anthocyanins, and shelf life at room temperature). Red spinach and green spinach had shown a significantly different growth response to applying biological fertilizers. VP3 biofertilizer with compost had the highest yield effect but was not significantly different from the recommended Nitrogen Phosphate Potassium (NPK) and Effective Microorganism4(EM4) treatment with compost. The application of VP3 Biofertilizer with NPK fertilizer showed a darker color (higher chlorophyll and anthocyanin content) than the application of biological fertilizers, but the values were not significantly different. The application of VP3 biofertilizer with compost affected the shelf life of both red spinach and green spinach. Spinach plants remained fresh at room temperature for three days of storage, while the other treatments lost freshness on the 3rd day after harvesting and even loosened the leaf on the 4th day after harvesting. Therefore, VP3 biofertilizer has potential to increase the yield and quality of spinach and other vegetable crops. The addition of the application period of VP3 biofertilizer needs to be carried out and observed to increase the yield and quality of plants further. Canonical Variate Analyses (CVA) can distinguish the grouping of treatments based on the selected parameter. Biplot assessment provides information on the strong relationship between the yield of green spinach and red spinach and a number of leaves, leaf area, and plant height. The application of VP3 biofertilizer with compost had a significant effect on the yield and quality and produced different effects between treatments, both in the case of green spinach and red spinach.

Three zinc(II) complexes containing 4-aminopyridine (4-NH2py) [Zn(4-NH2py)2(NCS)2] (1), [Zn(4-NH2py)2Cl2] (2), and [Zn(4-NH2py)2(NCS)Cl] (3) were synthesized and characterized by FTIR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. All complexes adopt a slightly distorted tetrahedral geometry with different crystal packing. Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmmn space group, complex 2 in the monoclinic C2/c space group, and complex 3 in the orthorhombic Pbca space group. Non-covalent interactions such as NC-S···H, -Cl···H, and µ-µ stacking interaction between 4-NH2py and other ligands (NCS− and Cl−) are observed in the crystals packing. In vitro, antibacterial screening of all complexes was evaluated against two bacteria (Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus). The results show that 1 has the highest antibacterial activity than 2 and 3. This difference is due to differences in the interactions elicited by the anion ligands.

Lubrication in machining process plays a very important role in machining because it increases the productivity and quality of the machining process. Today, most Metalworking Fluids (MWF) are petroleum based ones. Due to its advantages, the consumption of MWF is increasing therefore creating many negative effects on the environment. These effects are related to surface and groundwater, and soil contamination. To address this challenge, various MWF alternatives are being explored by scientists. Vegetable oil is a very attractive alternative to petroleum-based lubricants, because vegetable oils are environmentally friendly, renewable, non-toxic, and easily biodegradable. In complement to the experimental method, simulations using chemical application programs such as Hyperchem 8.0 can also be carried out to provide an estimate of how the interaction between components of lubricating oil, lubricating oil and additives, as well as lubricating oil and additives to their attraction properties to certain surfaces (such as metals). In this study, the effect of the addition of eugenol as a bio-additive on the interaction between molecules of jatropha oil lubricant on the surface of the material will be analysed. The results obtained are simulations using Hyperchem 8.0 can be used to predict the physical properties of the lubricating oil.

Saturation flow rate is a key parameter essential for assessing signalized intersection capacity. The reference often used for signalized intersection planning in Indonesia is Indonesian Highway Capacity Guidelines (PKJI, 2023). In heterogeneous traffic environments, it has been observed that driver characteristics and behaviors exhibit significant variations. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the prevailing saturation flow rate conditions at signalized intersections within Banda Aceh City. This exploration unfolded through two distinct scenarios, namely saturated time with and without initial lost time. For data acquisition, the focus was set on four signalized intersections, namely Jambo Tape, Pocut Baren, AMD Batoh, and Lhong Raya. This extraction procedure aimed to uncover insights into vehicle composition, movement patterns, and field saturation flow rate at these signalized intersections. In the aspect of analysis, a simple linear regression approach was adopted to recalibrate saturation flow rate coefficient of signalized intersections. This recalibration took into account vehicle compositions at the observation locations. The culmination of this analysis showed that in the scenario devoid of lost time under prevailing conditions, flow rate yielded S0 = 352 x Le. Meanwhile, for the scenario entailing lost time, the calculation produced was S0 = 294 x Le.

The physiological response of motorcyclists, which is substantially correlated with driving stress, can be utilised to assess traffic safety. Heart rate and respiratory rate can be used to measure driver tension using the heart rate variability method. This investigation was conducted in Aceh province along the urban arterial roads Jl. T. Nyak Arief and Jl. T. Muhammad Daud Bereueh. This study seeks to provide the anticipated empirical findings for determining the stress threshold of motorcyclists on Banda Aceh's primary arterial roads. The Polar Vantage V2 Smartwatch Multisport measures the pulse rate and respiratory rate of voluntarily participating motorcycle riders. This research was conducted using direct observation and direct observation related to volunteer travel activities as a sample, with volunteers selected at random and questioned about their willingness to participate. Direct interview surveys with volunteers were used to collect socioeconomic information about volunteers. The Multiple Indicators Multiple Causes (MIMIC) model empirically examined which road conditions and land use variables influence driving tension among motorists. The results revealed that the highest heart rate (HR) was recorded in the commercial land use area, at 94.029 beats per minute, while the highest HR was recorded at road bends, at 94.244 beats per minute. The time domain stress model is influenced by land use variables, with the most significant types of land use being offices and education, with the forming variables consisting of SDNN, RMSSD, and TINN.

In Banda Aceh City, signalized intersections are a strategic approach to mitigate conflicts such as accidents and traffic congestion. This was achieved by efficiently managing the flow of vehicles passing through intersections, enhancing their overall capacity. Currently, the management of signalized intersections in Banda Aceh still adheres to the guidelines stipulated in the 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI 1997). Given the considerable variation in driver behavior and vehicle composition, particularly motorcycles, within Banda Aceh, a need for updated practices arises. Therefore, this research determined the comparison of PCEs values at the initial and saturation time based on the PKJI 2023 and the new calculations. It was conducted at four-legged intersections, namely Pocut Baren, AMD, Lhong Raya, and Jambo Tape. The primary dataset comprised intersections geometry, effective green time, traffic flow composition captured through drone recordings, and signal configurations. Statistical analysis in this research used multiple linear regression analysis to estimate the Passenger Car Unit (PCU) model parameters using video data recorded at the four-legged intersections. The result showed that PCE values for motorcycles during the initial time was 0.16, higher than the average saturation time values of 0.08.

This study evaluates the macrostructure, microstructure, hardness, and tensile strength in dissimilar metal welding applied to bus body construction. The process involved joining hollow stainless steel and galvanized steel at the dimensions of 80 x 40 x 3.2 mm through Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW). The current was varied at 90, 100, and 110 A while ER70S-6 electrodes with diameters of 0.8 and 1.0 mm were used. The results showed that electrode diameter and welding current affect the capping area, penetration depth, and hardness. Moreover, the formation of the widmasatten ferrite phase was increased and the coarse grain boundaries in the weld zone were detected. It was also observed that an increase in the diameter of the electrode and the welding current which indicates an increment in the heat reduced the rate of solidification and cooling. The average tensile strength for all the samples investigated was found to be lower than the value for the base metal. Therefore, further research is recommended to improve the tensile strength.

Background: Obesity can lead to insulin resistance contributing to diabetes mellitus (DM). Empirically, insulin leaves of Tithonia diversifolia (Hems.) A. Gray (Td) can be used as a traditional DM medicine. Objective: This study aims to determine effects of Td methanol extracts on insulin resistance and secretion in DM rats induced by a high-fat diet and alloxan. Methods: This study was a randomized pre and post-test control group. Its research subjects were divided into five groups: a normal group, an obese group with diabetes without therapy (KN), an obese group with DM treated by the Td extracts with a dose 50 mg/kg, 250 mg/kg, and 500 mg/kg. The DM obesity was induced by a high-fat diet followed by administration of alloxan with a dose of 135 mg/kg intraperitoneally. The Td extracts was administered after 7 days of DM induction by using gastric swabs. Insulin resistance in the rats was measured based on HOMA-IR index values, while their insulin secretion was based on HOMA-B values. A statistical analysis was conducted by a 95% confidence level. Results: Blood glucose levels decreased to normal levels in all the groups administered by the Td extracts, except in the KN group. The HOMA-IR index values in all groups treated by the Td extracts did not increase except in the KN group. The HOMA-B index values in groups with doses of 50 and 250 mg/kgBW experienced a higher increase and significantly differed with the KN group. Conclusion: The administration of the Td extracts with doses of 50 and 250 mg/ kgBW in the DM rats could decrease blood glucose levels, could prevent insulin resistance and could increase insulin secretion.

Urban bus reform so-called Trans Koetaradja (TK) is regarded as a potential urban transport policy aiming at alleviating autos traffic congestion and mitigating highly private mode dependency in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The new bus system proposed by the Government has been operated since early 2018, and it remains free of fare services due to subsidy provide by the Government as the bus corridors have been expanded the budget getting escalating year by year. To reduce the burden of subsidies, the Government intends to drop monetary aid by applying full fare for the bus. However, declining the subsidy could affect bus ridership, especially low-income households whose captive riders may not afford the ticket. It hypothesizes that the travel cost budget (TCB) has significantly influenced the ability to pay for a particular household to afford the bus fare. The TCB for this study defines the maximum amount of money allocated by a specific family for their transportation within a month. Therefore, this study is aiming at exploring factors that effecting the households' transportation expenditures, taking into account household life stages (HLS) among TK' bus users. The use of revealed preference data obtained in 2019, the regression analysis of the ordinary least square (OLS) method, was used to calibrate and teste the exogenous variables across HLS. To simplify, the HLS in this study is segmented as early, middle, and established HLS. The distribution of TCB across HLS revealed that the share of transport expenditure on average to their monthly income had shared about 10-11 %. The finding from the OLS indicates that the variables of the female gender, monthly income, and the number of owned motorcycles have significant contributions to the TCB. The most significant finding is the impact of monthly income on the TCB across HLS. It exhibited early, and middle HLS has shown more spending share on income compared to the established HLS

This study aims to measure the values of passenger car unit (PCU) at a four-legged roundabout based on the time occupancy data in complex traffic operation. Within mixed traffic, the PCUs are needed as a equivalency factor to convert various type of vehicles to a standard unit. The unit of PCU was used to determine capacity and level of service of specific the traffic condition. The composition of vehicles going through the intersection, mostly varies and each type of vehicles tends to have diverse effects on capacity and level of services. Consequently, a conversion factor from various vehicles to a standard vehicle is required. The data of this study was collected using a drone at the investigated roundabout at one of the major roundabouts in Aceh Besar, Aceh province, Indonesia. The method used was the vehicle's time occupancy, in which calculated from the average time required by each vehicle to pass through the roundabout area. The results show that the PCU values obtained is 0.16 for motorcycle, 0.59 for rickshaw, 1.07 for pickup, 1.91 for a medium vehicle, and 3.76 for the heavy vehicle. These results should be utilized for converting various type of vehicles into PCUs to estimate capacity and level of services, especially at the roundabout trafict. This results may be suitable to revise the Indonesian Traffic Code, named Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual 1997, and useful for ongoing national-level efforts to upgrade the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual.

On-street parking leads to reduced road capacity and decreased traffic performance of the certain road. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of on-street parking based on road performance. The study was conducted at Central Business District namely Peunayong, Banda Aceh. Based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) one of the performance parameter values is Degree of Saturation (DS). The data needed for calculation of DS are the geometric conditions, traffic volume and the side frictions. The results indicate that on-street parking facilities on segment 2 of Khairil Anwar Street should be evaluated, as the DS value is greater than 0.75 (unstable road condition), by changing parking patterns into a parallel configuration or eliminating parking facilities. Furthermore, the parking configuration of R.A. Kartini Street also needs to be rearranged. Despite the stable road performance, this road is uncomfortable to pass because there is only one lane remained due to unfeasible parking patterns and existence of street market along the segment. The road performance of Khairil Anwar Street (segment 1), Ahmad Yani Street, W.R Supratman Street, T.P. Polem Street, Twk. Daudsyah Street and Ratu Safiatuddin Street is in stable condition, with DS 0.75. This indicating that on-street parking facilities can be maintained. While as for the W.R. Supratman and Ahmad Yani Street should be evaluated in year of 2019 to avoid traffic jam along this corridors.

antimicrobial packaging ,essential oil ,carrier material ,Agriculture - Abstract
Antimicrobial active packaging is designed to extend the shelf life of packaged products by adding antimicrobial agents to the packaging system. Trend of green consumerism has led to an increasing demand for the use of natural antimicrobial agents for food packaging applications. The natural antimicrobial agents that are the focus of current research are essential oils, however, the application of essential oils directly to packaging materials can affect mechanical characteristics such as a decrease in the tensile strength of the packaging materials. One of the innovations to solve this weakness is the application of an antimicrobial agent with a carrier material in the form of sachets, pads and tablets. The principle of the antimicrobial active packaging is the adsorption of active compounds on the carrier material and allows the slow release of active antimicrobial compounds in the packaging system. Furthermore, challenges in the food sector related to packaging waste have prompted research on biodegradable materials, such as the use of starch and cellulose as carrier materials. This paper examines the development of antimicrobial packaging with essential oil active agents using several types of carrier materials, how to produce these packages with several types of materials, and the advantages and disadvantages of selecting the materials used.

Nowadays the epidemiological burden of diabetes increases with long life-threatening symptoms and the effects of antidiabetic drugs. Lack of insulin activity is one of the signs of a drop in diabetes mellitus. The mechanisms in antidiabetic include stimulating β-Langerhans cells which secrete insulin and inhibit enzyme activity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of giving tamarind leaf extract on levels of homa-β in type 2 diabetes mellitus rats. This study used 30 male Wistar rats aged 8-12 weeks with a bodyweight of 150-200 grams and separated into 5 groups. The first group is KN group (DMT2 mice + standard diet), group 2 is KP (DMT2 + Acarbose mice), group 3 is P1 (DMT2 mice + tamarind leaf extract 28 mg / 200gr / day), group 4 is P2 (rat DMT2 + tamarind leaf extract 56 mg/200gr/day), and group 5 is P3 (DMT2 rat + tamarind leaf extract 112 mg / 200gr / day). The measurement method for Homa-β is to use a standardized formula and use the results of blood tests for fasting blood glucose and insulin levels. The results of the inter-variable study using one-way Anova found a significant difference between the levels of homa-β and the administration of tamarind leaves extract in rats with type 2 diabetes mellitus model (p

The Bus Reform policy known as Trans Koetardja was adopted and implemented in Banda Aceh of Indonesia in early 2018 to promote bus ridership and to specifically mitigate the dependency on private means of transportation. This system is presently being run as a trial and free of service charge through the subsidy provided by the government of Aceh with the amount being spent projected to escalate by the year 2020 due to expansion in the number of bus lines. There is, however, the plan to introduce bus fare to ease the burden of subsidies on the government but most of those engaged in the ridership are generally students and people from low-income households. Therefore, there is the need to determine an appropriate charge or tariff based on the household's ability to pay (ATP), especially with the focus on the need for low-income people to sustain the subsidy for their daily travel. This study was conducted to determine the ability to pay (ATP) for bus users through the use of travel cost budget (TCB) which is defined as the maximum money allocated by a household for transportation within a month as a constraint. The TCB was classified based on income classes into low-income and medium-high income to ensure simplicity. The research was conducted in 2019 by collecting 450 samples from three Trans Koetardja lines using reveal preference (RP) survey after which Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method was adopted to identify the factors significantly contributing to TCB based on the income classes. Moreover, the ATP for each income class was also determined using the household budget method. The empirical results from the OLS showed the TCB usually allocated by medium-high income households is slightly different from those with low-income as observed with 0.306 million IDR/month (20.85 USD/month) and 0.208 million IDR/month (14.17 USD/Month) while the predicted ATP was 7,397 IDR/trip (0.5 USD/trips) and 2,259 IDR/trip (0.15 USD/trips), respectively. It is, however, important to note that 1 USD = 14,677.73 IDR. Furthermore, the factors observed to be influencing the variation in TCB include age, monthly income, gender, and the number of private cars or motorcycles owned within the household.

The advancement of active packaging technology has contributed to the need for customer assurance of the quality and protection of fresh foods and agricultural products. An example of active packaging to maintain food quality and improve product protection is the use of antimicrobial pads. Antimicrobial pads are a type of active packaging that releases active agents into the headspace food packaging in order to prevent, inhibit or destroy the growth of microorganisms.. Antimicrobial pads are very easy to apply to food products by placing them on the bottom of the product or inserting them into the packaging material. This literature study discusses the characterization of cellulose as a major component in the manufacture of pads, techniques for the incorporation of antimicrobial compounds into pads, and suitable applications for the inhibition of microorganisms in food products. Apart from that, this literature study also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of antimicrobial pads as active packs.

Friction welding is a welding technique that utilizes heat due to surface friction between a rotating and pressing workpiece. This study aims to analyze the effect of environmental temperature variations on the mechanical properties of Al 6061 alloys, friction welding specimens with variations in room temperature (27ºC), 50 ºC, 75 ºC, 100 ºC, 125 ºC, and 150 ºC. Welding is carried out using a lathe with a rotation speed of 1600 rpm, a workpiece diameter of 15 mm, a champer angle of 15º, a friction force of 65 bar for 6 seconds, and a final compressive force of 325 bar for 60 seconds. Changes in mechanical properties in terms of tensile strength and hardness. The results showed that the higher working environment temperature produced greater tensile strength than Al 6061 friction weld joints. From macro-micro observations, it was found that specimens with large tensile strength (specimens welded at 100 ºC, 125 ºC, and 150 ºC) had a large area (Zpl) and finer granules when compared to specimens with small tensile strength (specimens welded at room temperature (27 ºC), 50 ºC and 75 ºC).

Kata kunci: perkerasan semi-fleksibel, ziolit alam, reologi aspal, tegangan dan regangan, beban dinamis Abstract The resistance of the pavement structure due to the consequence of stress and strain causes the initial reset when the occurrence of permanent deformation so that pavement failure due to age is avoided. This phenomenon can be reduced by a pavement that has sufficient stiffness and flexibility. Material modification is carried out to increase the value of the stiffness and flexibility of the mixture by using the right type of mixture, gradation, and asphalt modification as an effort to develop an asphalt pavement mixture. The purpose of this study was to study the stress and tensile strain of the semi-flexible pavement (SFP) mixture against repeated loads with the addition of rubber tire waste (WTR) and to use natural zeolite as a part of cement for mortar injected into the porous asphalt cavity. The design of a porous asphalt mixture begins with the determination of the optimal proportion of asphalt with an open grade aggregate specified in the Asphalt Pavement Association Australia (AAPA) 2004.Marshall test is carried out to see the required specifications and test specimens that have been injected with cement with a four-point loading bending method test for stress evaluation and tensile strain. The values of dynamic stress and strain were analyzed for each variation of ziolite in cement mortar. Substitution of natural ziolite in cement mortar can affect the dynamic stress and strain of the PSF mixture, where the greater the ziolite composition in cement mortar, the higher the resulting stress and strain. Kata kunci: Study kelayakan, kelayakan ekonomi, analisis sensitivitas Abstract The basic elements of costs and benefits in a project feasibility analysis are not represented by a single one as a definite value. Consequently, the results of the project's economic feasibility study are also uncertain. Based on that reason, it is necessary to see the influence of variability of the elements of costs and benefits to the economic feasibility of the project. A simple way to determine the feasibility variability is by doing sensitivity analysis scenario. In this feasibility sensitivity analysis, the variability of costs and benefitsare done by increasing the cost and lowering the benefit. The sensitivity analysis in this study was applied to the new Lawe Alas - Pedesi bridge construction project in Aceh Tenggara District Aceh Province. The sensitivity scenario done in order to determined the effect of increased costs and reduced benefits on the economic feasibility. Thus the level of risk of economic feasibility can be also determined. Keywords: feasibility study, economic feasibility, sensitivity analysis

Background: Smoking habits enhance free radical in the body, which oxidize lipids to form malondialdehyde. One group that is vulnerable to smoking is adolescents. Red dragon fruit and red guava have the possibility as functional foods due to their vitamin and phytochemical content, which have antioxidant effects. This is an opportunity to prevent oxidative stress among adolescent smokers. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the effect of red dragon fruit, red guava, and its combination to total antioxidant capacity (TAC) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels among adolescent mild smokers. Methods: This research was an experimental study with a randomized pre-test and post-test control group design. Forty-eight subjects of male adolescent aged 16-17 years with mild smoking habits were divided into four groups: the control group (K), the intervention group with 200 grams of red dragon fruit (P1), 200 grams of red guava (P2), and the combination of both (100 grams red dragon fruit + 100 grams red guava) (P3), for 14 days. TAC examination used the DPPH method and MDA levels using the TBARS method were measured before and after the intervention. Results: After 14 days of intervention, the mean TAC was changed by -0,10±0,76 in the K group, 0,97±1,62 in the P1 group, 0,74±1,39 in the P2 group, and 0,74±1,29 in the P3 group. But the changes of TAC in all intervention groups were not significantly different from the control group (p>0,05). The mean MDA level changed by 0,229±0,371 in the K group, decreased by -0,654±0,922 in the P1 group, -0,592±0,818 in the P2 group, and -1,166±0,670 in the P3 group. The mean difference of the MDA level in all intervention groups was significantly different from the control group (p
