In the current economic context, concerns about environmental protection and the multiplication of the negative effects of industrial development on the environment have become particularly persistent. Environmental concerns have become particularly persistent, through the organization of various scientific events, which have laid the foundations for concepts such as sustainability/sustainable development, which promote human awareness, regarding the interdependencies between economic, political, natural and social phenomena, on a planetary level. The interest in environmental protection, addressing global problems of economic and social development, is on the agenda of the United Nations, which develops strategies and programs to solve them. The purpose of this work is to increase the degree of knowledge of the components of sustainable business development in ensuring a green business practice, thus, close knowledge of the ESG concept will allow companies to establish and prioritize their fields and activity policies.

Research Question: The research is oriented towards determining implementation of the ethical code in hotels, located within the National Park of Serbia, Kopaonik, and its effects on perception of organisational social responsibility dimensions among the hotel employees. Motivation: Application of the ethical code is the first step towards clarifying the standards of acceptable business practices to various stakeholders of the organization, including the employees (Supanti, Butcher, & Fredline, 2015). In this regard, this research is focused on identifying the manners in which the application and content of the ethical code can affect the perception of social responsibility. Idea: The ethical code and public discussion with employees on topics in the field of ethics might affect the perception of employees regarding the organisational social responsibility. In this way, it could contribute to development and strengthening of employees' awareness of the problems of the wider community, as well as business activities that might endanger or help society to overcome these specific problems. Besides, the idea was to research into the implementation of these ethical issues in the business operations in the National Park. Data and Tools: The survey research was conducted within popular tourism destination in Serbia, Kopaonik, on the sample of 211 hotel employees. Findings: The research results show that application of the ethical code shapes the perception of Legal and Economic dimension of organisational social responsibility. Also, the research results indicate the fact that the form in which the ethical code is applied shapes the employees’ perception of philanthropic, legal, economic and ethical dimensions of organisational social responsibility. In addition, results of the research indicate that the usage of the ethical code, as a means of information, shapes the employees’ perception of legal and ethical dimension of organisational social responsibility, while the organization of meetings on ethical issues shapes the employees’ perception of philanthropic dimension of organisational social responsibility. Contribution: The research results might have scientific and practical application as guidelines for improving the business performance in the operation of numerous organizations in the field of tourism, primarily in hotels, but also among the others in the tertiary sector.

The purpose of this study was to describe the organizational climate; psychosocial risk factors and leadership styles perceived by a group of 400 workers of the health sector in four Colombian cities and to observe whether there are significant differences between them. In order to achieve this objective; the instruments entitled ECO; CFP and PAT_were administered. According to the results; the participants showed psychosocial risks factors of diverse nature and the most relevant ones were those related to interpersonal relationships. Although the organizational climate found was not optimal; it was not adverse either. The two resulting leadership styles were evidenced only in Bogota. Significant differences were found in most variables studied which could be attributed to cultural aspects. These findings are discussed

The World Conference of Environment and Development (WCED), held in Rio d Janeiro in June of 1992, was a unique international relations event in the and definitely gave the environment its deserved position in the international agenda as a global concern.During the so-called Rio 92, governmental strategies for the development of local social and economically sustainable development were suggested. Also, the Biodiversity Convention, which took place during the WCED, highlighted the sovereignty of nations over their biological resources and defined that each country should create its own conditions to facilitate access to genetic resources while promoting the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits derived from the use of such resources.Central to this process are debates over the role of the economic activity in environmental protection, especially the protection of the world’s biodiversity resources upon which the whole economic and climatic systems depend.This paper examines the theory behind some modern development strategies, such as the one that supports that the market economy will save the world’s biodiversity. According to this line of thought, the conservation of biodiversity resources must go hand in hand with its potential to generate income, in other words, economic incentives would ultimately encourage local communities to efficiently protect their forests.The Rainforest Harvest is an example of market-oriented strategy aimed at conciliating both the objectives of conservation and use of biodiversity resources. It is based on the sustainable extraction of non-timber-forest products (NTFPs) so as not to interfere with the balance of both the ecosystems and the food-chain. The principle of the Rainforest Harvest is, therefore, that if it can be shown that forests are more valuable while they are standing, they will have more chance to be preserved.This article examines the partnership deal between the British cosmetics company The Body Shop and the Kaiapó communities Pycany and A’Ukre in the the brasilian state of Pará. It is divided into five parts. The first part examines deforestation as a consequence of governmental development projects in the Amazon during the 1970’s. Such projects had impacts on the local population, especially on indigenous communities and made their access to land even more difficult. The second part deals with the notions behind most market-based development strategies, like the “Ecodevelopment” and “Sustainable Development” while the third part presents the Kaiapós involved in Rainforest Harvest trade-agreement. The fourth part examines the controversies over the “harvest” concept as a socially and economically equitable alternative to deforestation. The fifth part presents the case-study of the trade partnership between the company The Body Shop and the Kaiapó community for the supply of Brazil nut oil.
