Liuzhou river snail rice noodle is a local characteristic food of Liuzhou with fresh, spicy, sour and “smelly”. With the rapid development of pre-packaged river snail rice noodle, the concerns such as unstable quality and inconsistent standards have begun to emerge. The quality and unique flavor of Liuzhou river snail rice noodle are closely related to the flavor substances of its raw materials. The detection and analysis of its flavor substances is one of the key factors to measure the quality of river snail rice noodle. In this paper, based on the features of flavor substances of raw materials such as snails, sour bamboo shoots and chili oil in Liuzhou snail powder, the sources of its flavor substances were reviewed mainly according to the current research on river snail rice noodle and the related techniques of flavor substances detection. The effects of flavor substances of raw materials and excipients were systematically expounded. The development prospect of common detection techniques of flavor substances in the analysis of flavor substances and the key flavor substances of raw materials and excipients were further reviewed. The disadvantages of the research on the flavor substances of were pointed out, and the future research direction of its flavor substances was put forward, aming to provide theoretical support for the improvement, standardization and development of new products of Liuzhou river snail rice noodle.

Critical care medicine in China has developed rapidly and played an irreplaceable role in the treatment of critically ill patients, emergency disasters and public health events. The standardized training of specialists is not only an important part of medical education after graduation, but also a conventional way to train qualified specialized clinicians. As the second batch of national pilot specialties, critical care medicine has established a national unified specialist training system, which has become an important way to cultivate professionals. This study compares the similarities and differences of critical care medicine specialty training in foreign countries from the aspects of training system and platform construction, so as to provide reference for promoting the continuous improvement of critical care specialist training system in China.

The purpose of the startup approach is to find an appropriate course of action that adds value to the economy’s development. This study is aimed to determine the effect of the lean startup approach with mediating effect of business coaching to foster innovative work behavior in women entrepreneurs. Additionally, the study also examines the moderating effect of age on the lean startup approach and innovative work behavior. A quantitative approach was employed. The findings show that the relationship between the lean startup approach and innovative work behavior is significant. Moreover, the findings also revealed a significant mediating effect of business coaching and moderating effect of age. This research encourages practitioners and scholars to deal with women entrepreneurship incubation initiatives in the lean startup methodology. Furthermore, this study also leads to a deeper understanding of women’s ideas for business exploration, growth, and implementation. The study contends that guidelines and directives are critical for creative entrepreneurial behavior.

Nanomaterials have been applied for the modification of cement-based materials with a low-dosage addition in recent years. Graphene oxide (GO) has been studied in many papers for use in cement-based materials with properties of a two-dimensional sheet-like structure, its extraordinary mechanical properties, high aspect ratio and hydrophilicity. To study the effects of graphene oxide on the hydration of tricalcium silicate, the hydration heat, hydration products and micro-structure of a C₃S-GO hydration system were studied in this paper. The results showed that GO increases the hydration heat by promoting the hydration rate of C₃S, though the GO could not react with the C3S hydration products (such as the calcium hydroxide and C-S-H gel produced by the C₃S hydration). It was found that the addition of GO changes the crystallite size of the hydration products through observing the SEM image. The GO modified the morphology of the C₃S hydration products and led to a more compacter structure.

CD8+ T cells are a vital component of the adaptive immune system and important for eliminating intracellular pathogens. Notably, mTOR activity is associated with CD8+ T effector memory (Tem) cell differentiation in fungal infections. This study investigates the molecular mechanisms of CD8+ Tem cell proliferation and differentiation mediated by the mTOR pathway in immunosuppressed mice with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA). We first established the immunosuppressed IPA mouse model, then mice were subjected to rapamycin treatment daily or interleukin (IL)-12 treatment every other day. Lung tissues and blood samples were obtained seven days later. Aspergillus fumigatus was cultured from the lung tissue of mice inoculated with A. fumigatus spores. After IL-12 treatment, the expression of mTOR and its downstream signaling molecule S6 kinase, number of CD8+ Tem cells and interferon-γ expression were significantly increased, while they were significantly decreased after treatment with rapamycin. Additionally, IL-12 treatment induced T-bet but inhibited Eomesodermin expression, while the opposite was seen when the mTOR pathway was blocked by rapamycin. In conclusion, we found that the mTOR pathway induced CD8+ T cell proliferation and differentiation by regulating T-bet and Eomesodermin expression, which significantly influenced immune regulation during IPA and enhanced the immune response against fungal infection.

Post-disaster humanitarian relief is full of importance, complexity and difficulty, which makes people pay more attentions to various disaster relief measures and emergency management practices related to disaster preventions and reductions. The main purpose of humanitarian relief is to protect the lives of the victims in the affected areas and provide victims with the indispensable relief materials to survive from the unexpected disaster. Therefore, this paper puts its focus on some key decisions raised in the process of post-disaster humanitarian relief activities and summarizes the state-of-the-art researches in the area of critical emergency facility location, relief material allocation, emergency vehicle routing and the incorporation of the interests of the victims in the modeling framework. Specifically, through the analysis, this paper draws some key questions that can be further explored in the current research, in order to lay the foundation for the follow-up research, and can better serve the emergency rescue transportation practice under disaster conditions.

Here, we report a high-quality draft genome of a Chinese radish (Raphanus sativus) cultivar. This draft contains 387.73 Mb of assembled scaffolds, 83.93% of the scaffolds were anchored onto nine pseudochromosomes and 95.09% of 43 240 protein-coding genes were functionally annotated. 184.75 Mb (47.65%) of repeat sequences was identified in the assembled genome. By comparative analyses of the radish genome against 10 other plant genomes, 2 275 genes in 780 gene families were found unique to R. sativus. This genome is a good reference for genomic study and of great value for genetic improvement of radish.

Powder filling quantity control mechanism is an important part of medicine machine. The geometric model of the filling quantity control mechanism was established by Pro/E based on the NJP1200 capsule filling machine. By Lagrange multiplier method, the equation of movement characteristics was established. And also, the rigid-flexible coupling model of the mechanism was established by ADAMS, Based which, the simulation of displacement, velocity and acceleration curve were obtained. In the end, the change rule of CAM contact force was analyzed. It showed that ADAMS is an effective method in simulation the dynamic characteristics of mechanism.

Abstract Background The genomes of three major mosquito vectors of human diseases, Anopheles gambiae, Aedes aegypti, and Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus, have been previously sequenced. C. p. quinquefasciatus has the largest number of predicted protein-coding genes, which partially results from the expansion of three detoxification gene families: cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450), glutathione S-transferases (GST), and carboxyl/cholinesterases (CCE). However, unlike An. gambiae and Ae. aegypti, which have large amounts of gene expression data, C. p. quinquefasciatus has limited transcriptomic resources. Knowledge of complete gene expression information is very important for the exploration of the functions of genes involved in specific biological processes. In the present study, the three detoxification gene families of C. p. quinquefasciatus were analyzed for phylogenetic classification and compared with those of three other dipteran insects. Gene expression during various developmental stages and the differential expression responsible for parathion resistance were profiled using the digital gene expression (DGE) technique. Results A total of 302 detoxification genes were found in C. p. quinquefasciatus, including 71 CCE, 196 P450, and 35 cytosolic GST genes. Compared with three other dipteran species, gene expansion in Culex mainly occurred in the CCE and P450 families, where the genes of α-esterases, juvenile hormone esterases, and CYP325 of the CYP4 subfamily showed the most pronounced expansion on the genome. For the five DGE libraries, 3.5-3.8 million raw tags were generated and mapped to 13314 reference genes. Among 302 detoxification genes, 225 (75%) were detected for expression in at least one DGE library. One fourth of the CCE and P450 genes were detected uniquely in one stage, indicating potential developmentally regulated expression. A total of 1511 genes showed different expression levels between a parathion-resistant and a susceptible strain. Fifteen detoxification genes, including 2 CCEs, 6 GSTs, and 7 P450s, were expressed at higher levels in the resistant strain. Conclusions The results of the present study provide new insights into the functions and evolution of three detoxification gene families in mosquitoes and comprehensive transcriptomic resources for C. p. quinquefasciatus, which will facilitate the elucidation of molecular mechanisms underlying the different biological characteristics of the three major mosquito vectors.

Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) isoform 13, a distinct type of FGF, boasts significant potential for therapeutic intervention in cardiovascular dysfunctions. However, its impact on regulating fibrosis remains unexplored. This study aims to elucidate the role and mechanism of FGF13 on cardiac fibrosis. Here, we show that following transverse aortic constriction (TAC) surgery, interstitial fibrosis and collagen content increase in mice, along with reduced ejection fraction and fractional shortening, augmented heart mass. However, following Fgf13 deletion, interstitial fibrosis is decreased, ejection fraction and fractional shortening are increased, and heart mass is decreased, compared with those in the TAC group. Mechanistically, incubation of cardiac fibroblasts with transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) increases the expressions of types I and III collagen proteins, as well as α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) proteins, and enhances fibroblast proliferation and migration. In the absence of Fgf13, the expressions of these proteins are decreased, and fibroblast proliferation and migration are suppressed, compared with those in the TGFβ-stimulated group. Overexpression of FGF13, but not FGF13 mutants defective in microtubule binding and stabilization, rescues the decrease in collagen and α-SMA protein and weakens the proliferation and migration function of the Fgf13 knockdown group. Furthermore, Fgf13 knockdown decreases ROCK protein expression via microtubule disruption. Collectively, cardiac Fgf13 knockdown protects the heart from fibrosis in response to haemodynamic stress by modulating microtubule stabilization and ROCK signaling pathway.

Background: This study aims to uncover the potential correlation between LTC4S -444 A>C polymorphism and susceptibility to asthma. Methods: Literatures reporting the correlation between LTC4S -444 A>C polymorphism and susceptibility to asthma published before 1st June, 2019 were searched in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Wanfang and CNKI. Eligible literatures were enrolled and their data were extracted. OR and its 95% CI were calculated for assessing the correlation between LTC4S -444 A>C polymorphism and susceptibility to asthma. The included data were weighted by an inverse variance and then analyzed by a fixed or random effects model. Heterogeneity test and sensitivity analysis were performed on the enrolled reports. STATA12.1 and TSA (trial sequential analysis) were utilized for analyses. Results: Fifteen studies involving 3,791 asthma patients and 2,185 healthy controls were enrolled. No significant correlation was found between the LTC4S -444 A>C polymorphism and susceptibility to asthma according to the results of different models ((Dominant model (D): OR=1.10, 95% CI=0.98-1.23; Recessive model (R): 1.07, 0.84-1.36; Homozygous model (Homo): 1.11, 0.87-1.41; Heterozygous model (Hetero): 1.10, 0.98-1.24; Allele model (A): 1.07, 0.98-1.18). Subgroup analyses carried out in Asian and Caucasian population, as well as in population-based and hospital-based controls obtained the same conclusions. Conclusion: No significant correlation is identified between the LTC4S -444 A>C polymorphism and susceptibility to asthma. Researches with high-quality and large sample size are required for further validation in multi-center hospital.

Objective To investigate the related mechanism of Slug inhibiting the proliferation of cervical cancer cell through CDH3/β-catenin/C-myc. Methods SiHa cells with stable Slug expression were screened. The expression of CDH3 in Slug-overexpressed SiHa cell was detected by RNA-sequence, Real-time PCR, Western blot and immunocytochemistry. The expression of CDH3 in SiHa and HeLa cells were detected by Western blot and immunocytochemistry. The protein level of CDH3 was up-regulated in HeLa cells or rescued in SiHa-Slug cells by transient transfection of CDH3 expression vector. The protein levels of β-catenin and C-myc were detected by Western blot, the cell growth was detected by cell counting and CCK-8 assays. Luciferase reporter assay and chromatin immunoprecipitation assay (ChIP) were performed to detect the effect of Slug on regulating the promoter region of CDH3. Results SiHa cell line with stable Slug expression was successfully constructed. Slug overexpression inhibited CDH3 expression in SiHa cells. CDH3 promoted cell proliferation and up-regulated the protein level of β-catenin and C-myc in HeLa and SiHa-Slug cells. Slug could recognize and bind to the E-boxes in the CDH3 promoter region and inhibited the transcription of CDH3 in SiHa cells. Conclusion Slug could inhibit the expression of β-catenin and C-myc by inhibiting CDH3 transcription in SiHa cells, and then attenuate the growth of SiHa cells.

Objective To investigate the effect of HK2 on the proliferation and migration of cervical cancer cell lines HeLa and related mechanism. Methods HeLa cells with stable HK2 expression were screened. Cell proliferation, viability and cell cycle were detected by cell growth curves, MTT assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Wound-healing assay and Transwell cell invasion assay were used to detect the effect of HK2 on the migration and invasion potential of HeLa cells. The expression of β-catenin, Cyclin D1, MMP7 and Slug were detected by Western blot and immunocytochemistry. The activity of Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway was detected by TOP/FOP assay. Cell growth, migration and invasion were detected in HeLa-HK2 cells treated with Wnt/β-catenin inhibitor (XAV-939). Results HeLa cells lines that stably expressing HK2 were successfully constructed. HK2 overexpression promoted the proliferation, migration, invasion and viability of HeLa cells, accelerated the transition of cell cycle from G0/G1 phase to S phase, enhanced the activity of Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway and up-regulated the protein expression of downstream factors, such as Cyclin D1, MMP7 and Slug. The promoted growth, migration and invasion of HeLa-HK2 cells were inhibited by Wnt/β-catenin inhibitor XAV-939. Conclusion HK2 could promote the proliferation, migration and invasion of HeLa cells by up-regulating the expression of Cyclin D1, MMP7 and Slug via Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

β cell dysfunction is the leading cause of diabetes. Adult β cells have matured glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS), whereas fetal and neonatal β cells are insensitive to glucose and are functionally immature. However, how β cells mature and acquire robust GSIS is not fully understood. Here, we explored the potential regulatory proteins of β cell maturation process and the capacity for GSIS. Combined with the data from public databases, we found that the gene expression of Mitofusin2 (Mfn2) showed an increasing trend from mouse neonatal β cells to mature β cells. Moreover, its protein expression increased during mouse embryonic pancreas development and β cell differentiation from mouse embryonic stem cells. Knocking down Mfn2 reduced Urocortin3 (Ucn3) expression, GSIS, and ATP production in induced β cells, while overexpressing it had the opposite effect. However, neither Mfn2 knockdown nor overexpression affected the differentiation rate of insulin-positive cells. In immature and mature β cells, Mfn2 and its correlated genes were enriched in tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle-related pathways. The expressions of Sirtuin 3 (Sirt3) and isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (NADP+) and mitochondrial (Idh2) were Mfn2-regulated during β cell differentiation. Inhibiting Idh2 or Sirt3 reduced cellular ATP content and insulin secretion levels that increased by Mfn2 overexpression. Thus, Mfn2 modulated the induced β cell GSIS by influencing the TCA cycle through Sirt3/Idh2 activation. We demonstrated that Mfn2 promoted embryonic stem cell-derived β cell maturation via the Sirt3/Idh2 pathway, providing new insights into β cell development. Our data contribute to understanding diabetes pathogenesis and offer potential new targets for β cell regeneration therapies.

Most economists measure labor productivity based on activities conducted at places of work and do not consider leisure time in their calculations. In contrast, psychologists and sociologists argue that leisure has a positive role in the production process: leisure can improve individuals’ labor productivity by affecting their self-development. Using empirical data from 21 OECD countries, this study finds that leisure time has a dual effect on labor productivity in terms of per capita per hour GDP. Moreover, leisure time is nonlinearly associated with labor productivity (inverted U-shaped). When leisure time reaches the optimal level (5,813 hours), leisure has a compensatory effect on work and can positively influence labor productivity, but when leisure time exceeds the optimal value, leisure has a substitution effect on work and can negatively influence labor productivity.

Pressure response behavior of two-layered reservoir with a vertical mixed boundary is easy to be mistaken for that of the radial composite reservoir or dual-pore reservoir. It is difficult to fit the pressure response curve and easy to obtain abnormal parameter values using a misunderstood model. In this paper, we present the interpretation of three different types of pressure responses of vertical mixed boundary reservoir by our proposed models, where the diagnostic window and feature value are captured for different mixed boundary types. Results show that the mixed boundary with closed boundary and infinite-acting boundary induces the fake pressure response of a radial composite reservoir with poor permeability outer zone. The mixed boundary with the main constant-pressure and non-main closed boundary produces a fake pressure response of a dual-porosity reservoir. The diagnostic window of pressure response curves shape can easily capture the mixed boundary type, and the feature value of the feature values of pressure response value can quickly obtain the permeability ration of one layer. Aiming at different representative types of pressure response cases in the western Sichuan XC gas field, China, we innovatively analyze them from a different perspective and get a new understanding of pressure response behavior of vertical mixed boundary, which provides a guideline for the interpretation of layered oil and gas reservoir with the complex boundary in the vertical direction.

Due to its unique structure and superior performance, carbon nanotubes are proposed to have great potential applications in many fields. Recently, more and more concerns have been focused on the application of carbon nanotubes in space technology. It is believed that carbon nanotubes can have a broad impact on space missions in future with benefits principally in space technology, such as lightweight structure materials, environment protection materials, energy gerneration and storage and nanoelcetronics. However, carbon nanotubes would suffer chemical and physical damage from the space environment when it was used in spacecraft, just like all the other space materials. The environment where spacecrafts operate is extremely intricate, primarily represented by electromagnetic irradiation, charged particle irradiation, high vacuum, cold and hot alternation, atomic oxygen erosion, clash from space debris, and other factors. The mostly effect in space environment is atomic oxygen and debris for grapheme. This paper is about the research on the experimental methods of carbon nanotubes space environment effect with atomic oxygen and space debris as examples, in a bid to propose the experimental scheme of carbon nanotubes space environment effect. It will be great helpful to promote the applications of carbon nanotubes in space technology.

Because of the existence of uncertainty measurement in the process of bearings degradation, it is difficult to carry out the reliability analysis. The random performance degradation model is used to analyze the reliability life of high-speed train bearing with the characteristics of slow degradation process and relatively stable degradation path. The unknown coefficients are viewed as random variables in the model. According to the analysis to a bearing testing data, the reliability analysis of the bearing life is finally completed. The results show that the method can assess reliability of the bearing life with zero failure by taking full advantage of the performance degradation data in the small sample size.

The periodic current oscillations of Fe/HNO3 are presented in this paper. The effects of HNO3 concentration and imposed potential were investigated. The dropping method was used to change the local pH of the Fe/electrolyte interface, creating environments that favor the occurrence of current oscillations. Some interesting results were obtained and an explanation of the current oscillations is suggested.

For a proper way of modelling and simulation, as well as the precise and completeness, and a new multi-level method named homogeneous tensor coordinate(HTC) was developed by improving the absolute nodal coordinate formulation(ANCF) and the homogeneous coordinates(HC). In HTC, a new form of 2×2 matrix was employed instead of angles, when the capacity of expression and calculation was increased at the same time. HTC has good performance in traditional rigid body mechanics, which especially suitable for multibody modelling. Therefore, the robotic engineering may benefit from this finding, and a new formulation for scientific research may also affect the physics although some mathematical problems are raised in matrix theory.

The VOCPlus type catalytic oxidation catalyst developed independently by Shanghai Donghua Environmental Engineering Co Ltd was used to evaluate the catalytic performance and investigate the actual application effect, taking the tail gas treatment system of styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer unit of 100 kt/a as the research object. The results showed that the VOCPlus type catalytic oxidation catalyst had the characteristics of low ignition temperature, good high-temperature stability and strong hydrothermal stability. The mass concentration of non-methane total hydrocarbons at the reactor outlet was 6.2 mg/m3 and the removal rate of non-methane hydrocarbons remained above 99% under the conditions of catalyst inlet temperature of about 372 ℃, reaction temperature of 428 ℃ and a mass concentration of non-methane hydrocarbons of 1 500 mg/m3. The system had been in stable operation for more than 1.5 a, meeting the requirements for long-term operation of the exhaust gas treatment system.

Abstract Background Lithogenic bile is the major cause of cholesterol gallstone, but its pathogenesis is not well understood. The hypersecretion of biliary cholesterol is believed to be an important cause of lithogenic bile. Sterol Carrier Protein 2 (SCP2) participates in cholesterol trafficking and lipid metabolism in hepatocytes and may play a key role in cholesterol gallstone formation. Methods 21 cholesterol gallstone genealogies were studied to investigate the expression of SCP2 gene in liver tissue of hereditary and non-hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients as well as non-gallstone patients. The mRNA expression of liver SCP2 in 28 hereditary patients, 30 non-hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients and 32 non-gallstone patients was measured by Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). The protein expression of liver SCP2 was also detected in all the patients by Western blotting. At the same time, the bile was also analyzed with biochemical techniques and the Cholesterol Saturation Index (CSI) was calculated. Results The mRNA and protein expression of SCP2 was significantly increased in cholesterol gallstone patients compared to those of non-gallstone patients. Moreover, SCP2 was expressed at higher levels in hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients than that of non-hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients. There was significant difference observed in CSI between cholesterol gallstone patients and non-gallstone patients, but not in CSI between hereditary and non-hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients. Conclusions SCP2 was overexpressed in hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients compared to non-hereditary cholesterol gallstone patients. This finding indicated that SCP2 might be one of the genetic factors contributing to cholesterol gallstone formation, which was always accompanied by the increase of bile lithogenicity.

Depression is a common neuropsychiatric disorder that causes profound disability worldwide, yet the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Thus, the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of a two-hit model of depression on glial activation, parvalbumin (PV) interneuron, oscillation activity, and behavior alternations, and whether chronic fluoxetine treatment can reverse these abnormalities. Male mice were submitted to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) injection, followed by a modified chronic unpredictable stress (CUS) protocol. In our study, we showed that mice exposed to LPS and CUS exhibited reduced body weight, anhedonic-like behavior as well as cognitive and anxiety symptoms. These behavioral alternations were related to enhanced neuroinflammation, as reflected by significantly increased IL-1β and IL-6 levels and microglia activation in the prefrontal cortex (PFC). In addition, mice exposed to LPS and CUS displayed significantly decreased PV expression and disturbance of theta and gamma oscillations in the PFC. However, chronic fluoxetine treatment reversed most of these abnormalities. In conclusion, our study suggests that neuroinflammation-induced PV interneuron and oscillation deficits might contribute to neurobehavioral abnormalities in a two-hit model of depression.

为了拓展生物柴油原料来源，以气生微藻Heveochlorella sp. Yu为研究对象，通过测定其生长曲线、生物量、油脂产率、沉降率等，对其作为生物柴油生产原料的特性进行研究。结果表明，培养后气生微藻Heveochlorella sp. Yu的生物量为4.14 g/L，油脂含量为39.43%，油脂产率为181.38 mg/(L·d)，2 h的自然沉降率为65.28%（可大幅浓缩水体，降低微藻的采收成本）。此外，该微藻能够产生γ-氨基丁酸（GABA），含量为9.50 mg/g。气生微藻Heveochlorella sp. Yu具有成为生物柴油原料的潜力，具有微藻油脂的开发价值。 In order to expand the source of biodiesel feedstock, the characteristics of aerial microalgae Heveochlorella sp. Yu as raw material for biodiesel were studied by measuring its growth curve, biomass, lipid productivity, sedimentation rate, etc. The results showed that the microalgae biomass after cultivation was 4.14 g/L, the lipid content was 39.43%, and the lipid productivity was 181.38 mg/(L·d). The natural sedimentation rate of aerial microalgae Heveochlorella sp. Yu within 2 h was 65.28% (which could greatly concentrate the water body and reduce the harvesting cost of microalgae). In addition, aerial microalgae Heveochlorella sp. Yu could produce gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) with a content of 9.50 mg/g. The aerial microalgae Heveochlorella sp. Abstract Background With the rapid development of various advanced biotechnologies, researchers in related fields have realized that microRNAs (miRNAs) play critical roles in many serious human diseases. However, experimental identification of new miRNA–disease associations (MDAs) is expensive and time-consuming. Practitioners have shown growing interest in methods for predicting potential MDAs. In recent years, an increasing number of computational methods for predicting novel MDAs have been developed, making a huge contribution to the research of human diseases and saving considerable time. In this paper, we proposed an efficient computational method, named bipartite graph-based collaborative matrix factorization (BGCMF), which is highly advantageous for predicting novel MDAs. Results By combining two improved recommendation methods, a new model for predicting MDAs is generated. Based on the idea that some new miRNAs and diseases do not have any associations, we adopt the bipartite graph based on the collaborative matrix factorization method to complete the prediction. The BGCMF achieves a desirable result, with AUC of up to 0.9514 ± (0.0007) in the five-fold cross-validation experiments. Conclusions Five-fold cross-validation is used to evaluate the capabilities of our method. Simulation experiments are implemented to predict new MDAs. More importantly, the AUC value of our method is higher than those of some state-of-the-art methods. Finally, many associations between new miRNAs and new diseases are successfully predicted by performing simulation experiments, indicating that BGCMF is a useful method to predict more potential miRNAs with roles in various diseases.

Abstract Background MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are non-coding RNAs with regulatory functions. Many studies have shown that miRNAs are closely associated with human diseases. Among the methods to explore the relationship between the miRNA and the disease, traditional methods are time-consuming and the accuracy needs to be improved. In view of the shortcoming of previous models, a method, collaborative matrix factorization based on matrix completion (MCCMF) is proposed to predict the unknown miRNA-disease associations. Results The complete matrix of the miRNA and the disease is obtained by matrix completion. Moreover, Gaussian Interaction Profile kernel is added to the miRNA functional similarity matrix and the disease semantic similarity matrix. Then the Weight K Nearest Known Neighbors method is used to pretreat the association matrix, so the model is close to the reality. Finally, collaborative matrix factorization method is applied to obtain the prediction results. Therefore, the MCCMF obtains a satisfactory result in the fivefold cross-validation, with an AUC of 0.9569 (0.0005). Conclusions The AUC value of MCCMF is higher than other advanced methods in the fivefold cross validation experiment. In order to comprehensively evaluate the performance of MCCMF, accuracy, precision, recall and f-measure are also added. The final experimental results demonstrate that MCCMF outperforms other methods in predicting miRNA-disease associations. In the end, the effectiveness and practicability of MCCMF are further verified by researching three specific diseases.

AIM: To analyze the changes in the central vault after implantable contact lens(ICL)implantation and its impact in patients with high myopia.METHODS: The clinical data of 27 patients(54 eyes)with high myopia were recievd ICL implantation in our hospital from January 2016 to July 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, the vault was examined by Pentacam scheimpflug system at 1mo and 12mo after operation. The effects of white to white distance, ICL length, ICL degree, equivalent spherical mirror degree(spherical equivalent, SE)and pupil diameter on the change of arch height were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis.RESULTS: One month after ICL implantation, the vault was 582.45±173.18μm, 12mo after the operation, the vault was 509.47±163.82μm, 12mo after operation was significantly lower than that of 1mo after the operation, the difference was statistically significant(t=2.099, PPPCONCLUSION: The vault was reduced in 12mo after ICL implantation, and the length of ICL and WTW had a significant influence decrease in the vault. The length of ICL, the degree of ICL and the degree of the equivalent sphere had a significant influence on the vault.

In this study, the failure behaviors of debris flows were studied by flume model tests with artificial rainfall and numerical simulations (PFC3D). Model tests revealed that grain sizes distribution had profound effects on failure mode, and the failure in slope of medium sand started with cracks at crest and took the form of retrogressive toe sliding failure. With the increase of fine particles in soil, the failure mode of the slopes changed to fluidized flow. The discrete element method PFC3D can overcome the hypothesis of the traditional continuous medium mechanic and consider the simple characteristics of particle. Thus, a numerical simulations model considering liquid-solid coupled method has been developed to simulate the debris flow. Comparing the experimental results, the numerical simulation result indicated that the failure mode of the failure of medium sand slope was retrogressive toe sliding, and the failure of fine sand slope was fluidized sliding. The simulation result is consistent with the model test and theoretical analysis, and grain sizes distribution caused different failure behavior of granular debris flows. This research should be a guide to explore the theory of debris flow and to improve the prevention and reduction of debris flow.
